i had a day of work that left me tired (as jobs always do) and finally at home i just had a quiet moment of being able to write a few paragraphs. didn’t write a lot. but as i wrote i couldn’t help but think how lucky i am that i have both people in person and online who support me and want to see more of what i write.

my words matter and that’s all i’ve ever wanted in life—to make a difference through words. at the moment, i am so content writing, and i know i need to savor it while i feel this way because soon i’ll be wanting to fistfight the keyboard and throttle my muse for more ideas.

but for right now, i am content. i am happy. i am grateful.

Had a delightful night. Made home made hot chocolate and it was so thick and rich and yummy and then watched the nightmare before christmas and the polar express with some friends to get into the xmas mood.

was going thru the pics on my phone n came across the second to last twins game I went to back in 2021. this was in august, a month after the twins traded Nelson cruz and this was his first game back. before the game, he went out to chat w some of our guys, and his bestie miguel sano came up to give him the biggest hug that I managed to capture w these pics. nellie really was the heart of the team for a little while, so I really loved being able to see his homecoming and reunion live

also helped that the twins absolutely crushed the rays 12-0 this game

Tired af but here you go

I've been working on this for THREE. MONTHS. give or take little. I used several medias: pencil for sketching, and charcoal, paint, colored pencils, eyeliner, and gel pens for the coloring.

I also made some changes with things.

For the drawing of the glamoured human disguise, I minused the scar for plot reasons that will be explained in my original work on AO3. I also gave her a name. Her original name, Si Er Hou, meaning Four-Eared Monkie, has became Si Er Mihou, meaning Four-Eared Macaque. This is a set-in-stone decision. I also gave her human form a name, which is Luxe(it's pronounced Lux, the e is silent). Although I badly want to give out spoilers for the story(of which i have ONE chapter posted... T^T), I will wait until I have more time.
