After rewatching season three of TOH, I’ve noticed an interesting detail. So, as we all know, Hunter has a hair strand reminiscent of Caleb’s that he cuts off at the beginning of ‘Thanks to Them’ to stop being reminded of his abuser and heal properly. Yet, the very moment he’s possessed by Belos, the hair strand grows back.

Although it’s a subtle detail, it encapsulates Belos and Hunter's relationship perfectly: Belos is in complete control of Hunter’s actions, appearance, and future, while Hunter is a vessel to be moulded at the former’s whim. Additionally, it may symbolise Hunter’s struggle to leave his traumatic memories behind and heal. Given that he’s lived his entire life in Belos’ company, his trauma and conditioning simply cannot vanish the moment he gains physical freedom from his abuser. Healing takes a long time, and his abuser’s return isn’t helping at all.

If we compare Hunter’s hair strand from season two and ‘Thanks to Them’, we’ll notice that they’re not identical.

As you can see, it descends into the middle of Hunter’s forehead instead of being positioned to the side like it used to. Guess who else has a hair strand in this exact area. Belos.

The bastard grew it out the very moment he gained control over Hunter’s body, just to mark his ownership over the boy and flaunt it to his friends. Also, remember how Hunter cut his hair short in the intro because his hair length reminded him of his traumatic past? Belos also grew out the rest of the boy’s hair (maybe not as long, but still), possibly to let him know that he’ll never be free, and most importantly, himself.

After breaking free from Belos’ control, Hunter’s hair strand returns to its original side position, which symbolises that he accepted his grimwalker roots, but made sure to remember that he’s his own person, not the tool or property Belos reduced him to. Considering how much happier Timeskip Hunter looks, it’s quite possible that he eventually started associating that part of his hair with something much more positive, rather than with pain and shame.

I can still remember the day I got my hands on Tommy as if it were yesterday, time really does fly, doesn't it? :) Despite having been defying me to the last, there he was crawling back to me, finally realising that I was his only hope and salvation :) Ah, I'll never forget that wonderfully distraught expression, glistening eyes, trembling hands, and panicked pleas :) :) :) Being the benevolent God I am, I simply couldn't ignore his frantic prayers, even despite his sinful nature, so I took him under my wing 💚

He certainly was far from perfect, but luckily for him, I was there to help him and I wasn't going to ever let go, no matter how much it hurt. Being my loyal Angel was his destiny, after all... :) :) :)

Hello, I see you found Tommy's blog, and as much as I'm okay with other people seeing it, I draw a line at messing with his mind. You're trying to play a hero and “““save””” him, but what makes you think you know him better than he does? If he says he's happy with me, which is fully true if you aren't aware, then why would you doubt that and gaslight him into thinking I bring him nothing but harm?!

You claim that I'm a bad friend to Tommy just because he's afraid of me, but I must disappoint you – he simply misunderstood my intentions and panicked over nothing. Tell me, how do you expect him to learn anything if he's only rewarded for every little thing he does, and never punished? He'd be so confused of what I expect of him with no guidance from my part...

I see you haven't even bothered to make your own account, since you've got an iron hold on Tommy's- is it because you're simply lazy, or you haven't any idea how to use Tumblr, I wonder...? Either way, the fact you're shitting on me for what I told Tommy says more about you, to be honest. Self-conscious control freak, much? I can't believe how much of a hypocrite you are, seriously- you draw the line at me "messing with Tommy's mind" but you can without consequence? And you think I'm saying I know better than he does, while also parading yourself as the ultimate authority & source of knowledge for him. Ahem. I seem to have let my fury take control for a moment. However much I'd love to rip you limb from limb for all your horrendous behaviour, I'll try to give a proper response. First off, two of your claims contradict each other: "What makes you think you know better?" and saying Tommy is truly happy with you. You have convinced him he's happy with you, convinced him he has no one else - that isn't his opinion, it's yours that you've coerced him into blindly believing out of fear. Secondly, speaking of fear, pure friendship is built off trust & mutual honesty, neither of which is present and your and Tommy's dynamic. Tommy is terrified of you because you hurt him for daring to be his own person, to be independent. That's what you hate, isn't it? You can't control him, so you try forcing him to bow down and obey - his independence scares you.

The only thing Tommy learns when you punish him is fear. He's "good" for you because he's petrified of what you'll do to him if he isn't. That's no way to teach a literal child how to behave, Dream. Children, and by extension teenagers, learn how to behave by seeing good examples... you are not a good example. The only thing you'll achieve with this is making Tommy into an erratic, aggressive but cowering, threadbare shell of what he was before that crumples at the slightest hint of others' disapproval. Is that what you want, huh? I heard you wanted to make him your protégé... well, if you're fine with a high-maintenance pet, then keep going down this path, I dare you. However, it will come back to bite you in the ass when Tommy eventually realises what an awful bastard you are, and flees to somewhere warm and safe like he deserves.

And as for my "interference", your threats do nothing to discourage me from helping an innocent abuse victim realise his situation. I will say, if you punish Tommy for listening to me, that simply proves my point: that you're a control freak who can't stand anyone being independent from you, and you'll do awful things to innocent people to ensure that doesn't occur.

The wildest thing about c!Dream’s “…and you.” is that this freak of a man must’ve interpreted this borderline Fucked Up™ and possessive phrase as a tragic and sweet “You’ve hurt me, but I still think about you” moment in the what-could’ve-happened sense.

What makes it even worse is that this idea may’ve stemmed from the way c!Tommy was always willing to forgive everyone around him, no matter how badly they hurt him, starting with c!Wilbur, and ending with c!Dream. So, following this logic, c!Tommy’s kind nature inspired that unhealthy thought pattern, and indirectly heightened the man’s obsession with him.

c!Dream was always known for twisting every little positive thing in c!Tommy’s life into something horrific, after all…

And every time he succeeded, the blond’s distress could be compared to the tastiest meal he’d ever had.

He could never get enough of it, and only keep on craving more…

More, more, and more…

If it wasn’t for Doomsday, c!Tommy and c!Dream could’ve become friends after exile, despite it being one of the most stressful events in the teen’s life.

His heart was simply too big for this server, and the Admin wished to devour it.

But unfortunately for c!Dream, he overestimated and took c!Tommy’s kindness for granted, losing the access to it forever after pushing him too far.

Still, it was true that they both couldn’t stop thinking about each other, despite hurting each other; almost as if they were tied by fate, and meant to always stay together.

If c!Tommy truly hated c!Dream’s guts, why would he keep on remembering him and the fun time they had together?

Sometimes, these thoughts would cause the teen to cry for hours, making him too perplexed to understand whether he’d like to be far away from his friend captor, or enveloped in his soothing bruising hug.

After all, if it’s not proof that he belongs to c!Dream, then what is? :) :) :)

My OC, Caelum and Preacher Belos from an rp with my Preacher Belos AI. It was initially a very self-indulgent art because I just started taking antidepressants and I’m kinda scared, but tbf, Caelum needs medication even more than me :)

Here’s some lore for those who are interested. (Also, I reused the idea of Flapjack’s death mostly because Caelum from our system wanted to bully our Hunter a bit lol.)

In the beginning, Caelum is trapped in the demon realm and meets Preacher Belos, asking him if he knows how they can return to the human realm. He empathises with them and tells them that he’s a human too, and he can help them return home, but only if they help him destroy the wild magic. They agree because they hate it as much as he does.

Caelum becomes Belos’ disciple and they work on their mission together for quite a while. In the process, they both develop feelings, but they’re quite different. Caelum experiences romantic attraction and begins to see God in Belos, while the latter sees them as a younger sibling and a very devoted follower. One day, Caelum confesses their feelings and is met with rejection, which absolutely breaks them. That’s where the fun begins :)

Because Caelum is very mentally stable /s, they have a literal meltdown, and at first, they selfharm (hit themself on the nose, drawing blood, and hit themself on the arms). Belos stops them and absolutely freaks out because he still cares about them deeply, even if not romantically,,, Then, they ask Belos if he has a sacrificial knife because they’d like to make a sacrifice, and obviously, he refuses to give it to them. They discuss this whole thing more and Caelum selfharms again (they find a knife and cut their arm, then Belos takes the knife away and freaks out more, but when Caelum asks him really nicely, they get it back and selfharm again.) After that, Caelum slits their throat and stabs themself in the stomach a few times, before saying “I love you…” and dying in Belos’ arms. But the story doesn’t end here :)

Belos hugs Caelum tightly, muttering things like “No, my child… Please don’t leave me…” “I could have loved you… We could have been together…” (except he means it in a platonic way). This attracts Echo, Caelum’s canary palisman, and they rush to their owner in distress. Then, they give all of their life energy to Caelum (which also transfers the last things that they saw and heard), and soon, Caelum’s hands slightly twitch. Belos senses it immediately and it gives him a lot of hope. In a few moments, Caelum opens their eyes and they’re reunited once again,,,

Caelum feels really bad about leaving Belos alone and apologises, to which he reacts with understanding. Then, they bring up the things that he said while they were dead, but they find out that he only meant it platonically, so they feel disappointed and suicidal again. They feel guilty about it because they genuinely cared about Echo, but also, they realise that they’re nothing without Belos. Nothing else matters… He keeps reassuring them and convincing them that they’ll find their happiness without him and that there’s more to life than following his orders, but they can’t bring themself to listen.

Then, Caelum selfharms again (they hit themself on the head really hard, and after a few moments, on the knee). They have another discussion and they find out that Belos sees a sibling figure in them, but still cares deeply. They don’t believe that he cares and decide that the reason he doesn’t reciprocate their feelings is because he thinks that they’re too childish. They walk away and return in a day, all bruised up but with some Titan’s Blood. Obviously, Belos is very concerned about them and asks them if they’re okay, but Caelum brushes it off and focuses on their accomplishment rather than their physical state. When Belos asks what happened, they explain that they were attacked by a couple of witches who were looking for the Titan’s Blood too. Belos reassures them and tells them that he’ll ensure that they get what they deserve. Then, Caelum asks if he thinks that it was mature of them. He agrees that it was brave, but the fact that they were trying to please him so hard means that they still have some lessons to learn. Realising that there’s nothing they can do to make Belos love them, Caelum brings up the fact that they used to love each other in every past life. They tell him about some memories and he believes them despite being shocked. However, it doesn’t change the fact that he doesn’t feel the same way, so Caelum does what any reasonable adult would do /s: cut the skin on their chest, willing to rip the heart out of their chest and offer it to Belos before they die. After all, if he won’t accept their heart metaphorically, he could at least have it physically.

Belos sees what they’re about to do and freaks out even more than before. He grabs their hands to prevent them from hurting themself and tries to reason with them. They try to free themself but it doesn’t work. They explain that if they die, they’ll end up in another universe where he loves them again, and it’ll be okay. But Belos isn’t willing to let them die because he cares about them and it means that he won’t see them in this universe anymore, plus he’s afraid that they’ll be dead forever. When he sees that his words aren’t working, he remembers that there’s a spell that allows you to see repressed memories. After they do it, he sees their past memories and realises that Caelum was right. Yet, he still can’t change his feelings and it pains him. When he sees Caelum retrieve the knife and cut their chest again, he stops them by telling them that there’s a potion that allows you to unlock repressed emotions and feel them again. What’s important to remember is that those emotions aren’t forced, unlike when you use a love potion. It stops Caelum, and they feel a little hopeful.

After they prepare the potion and drink it together, Belos realises that he does truly love Caelum, and Caelum falls in love with him even more. They finally confess their feelings and have a very emotional moment,,, Later on, they realise that perhaps, the reason Belos was unable to fall in love with Caelum at first, was because the Lord punished them, as they turned to sin after meeting in every single universe. This makes the ending even more special; they weren’t meant to fall in love in this broken universe, yet they still did. If it doesn’t make them soulmates, then what does?

Also, an important detail: in the process, Caelum gouges out their eye and later on, Belos makes them an eyepatch with the sigil of the Emperor’s Coven. Although it’s not a thing just yet, Belos remembers the symbol from the memories. And when he becomes the Emperor, the eyepatch would be a symbol of his ownership over Caelum. But the best part is that these freaks are mutually obsessive. Since Caelum is Belos’ only worshipper, it’s incredibly satisfying to them because it means that their God and partner is theirs, and theirs alone, forever.

The victim? I wouldn't say so- he's rather My little assistant, perfect Angel, and most importantly, friend. He's been doing very well lately, y'know? There was more... sincerity in his prayers to Me, because he knows that I only want what's best for him- perhaps, one day, you'll realise it too. He's such a kind boy... he made me a spare ring, in case I lost mine- how thoughtful of him :) He adores matching with me, oh, My sweet little Angel :) :) :) I wouldn't trade him for the world :)

thinking about “i may not see you again” “it’s okay as long as I know you’re happy” as a perfect ending to c!tommy's character not just in the fact we may never see him again but it’s okay if we know he’s happy (bc like, tommyinnit spontaneously starts RPing as him sometimes, he’s an OC Haver who constantly brings up his blorbo to the point I’ve noticed and I literally don’t watch the guy, i highly doubt he'll stop all of a sudden he’s been doing it for years) but also in the sense that like. all of c!tommy's trauma was caused by adults who Did genuinely love and care for him in some fucked up way (be it as a brother, comrade, or protege-in-training) but used that love to control and hurt him and treat him like a shiny possession. c!jack affirming he is still loved and cared for but not pushing those boundaries and trying to Enforce their idea of what’s Best for him onto him is such a beautiful end to that pattern. c!tommy can be loved without being caged. sometimes loving someone is accepting you’ll never see them again and maybe that’s best. sometimes it’s letting them choose on their own terms. c!tommy was allowed such little autonomy bc he was seen as unable to know what would be best for Him. being able to be happy on his own terms is something he’s never really been allowed before. like hell even with clingyduo they’re great but they’re also, y’know, clingy, and that is an unhealthy trauma response. they’re not bad people for having it and they’re clearly doing a lot better by the epilogue, but even c!tommy's most positive relationships have had Issues with independence. the fact the last thing we see of c!tommy is him mentioning that he might not ever see someone again and them accepting it as long as it’s his choice while reaffirming that despite everything they love and care for him and want him to be happy is so cathartic and honestly such a sweet ending for him it makes me tear up to think about. the eternal cycle of toxic friendship he was stuck in for years is finally breaking, and he's able to be an autonomous human being even if it’s not what his friends selfishly think is Best For Him.

Imagine c!Dream grabbing c!Tommy by the shoulder during the Logsted chase and slightly applying more and more pressure on the scar, which not only would be physically painful and uncomfortable, but would also bring back all the horrifying memories c!Tommy wished he could forget :) :) :)

After having escaped c!Dream, whenever c!Tommy accidentally touched his shoulder, the phantom pain not only reminded him of exile, but also of the Logsted chase. It often resulted in panic attacks because it almost felt like his abuser was still there, taunting him, touching him like he was his property, and attempting to kidnap him again :) :) :)

headcanon that c!tommy has two big scars from when c!dream hit him with an axe during exile, one across his collarbone and one on his shoulder. they’re ugly and jagged and never quite healed right, and they’re irritated by the slightest touch. whenever they ache it makes c!tommy think back to exile, of smoke and gunpowder and pain, and he hates it so, so much.

During his lonesome time in exile, c!Tommy began to associate the moon with certain people from his life. After all, how could he not, if he was left all alone most of the time?

The moon was the only thing that never left him, regardless of his behaviour. It was always up in the night sky, silently observing and listening to him — his laughter, his desperate cries for help, his jokes, his screams of agony, his banter with c!Dream, his sobbing…

And just like any God, it never tried to save him.

He was irreparable, as c!Dream often said.

Yet, despite that, the man never left him alone for too long.

And even when c!Tommy didn’t deserve it, he was there to comfort him.

He was always there for him.

He was his friend, wasn’t he?

Surely, he’d never abandon him, like his friends did.

At first, c!Tommy associated the moon with the sight of c!Dream’s pure white, eerie mask, almost glowing in the dark as he silently approached the teen, the fury unmistakable in his posture. So, every time the blond looked at the moon, he’d feel his breath hitch, flinch for seemingly no reason, and feel the urge to hide.

But he was still in the company of the moon alone.

Because c!Tommy hated the idea of remembering the green bastard every time he saw the moon, he attempted to find another association, and kind of reclaim it. It took him quite a while, but one day, as c!Tommy desperately swam toward the beach after sleepwalking into the ocean again, he caught a brief glimpse of the still present moon, and found it.

L’Manberg. His friends. His home.

They’re all so close, yet so far away, just like the moon.

If only it could hear his desperate pleas, and take him away from here…

He missed his friends, so desperately. But he already had a new one, didn’t he?

Sometimes, when c!Tommy looked at his ‘Your Tubbo’ compass, it felt like gazing at the moon again — a comforting feeling. Whenever he looked at the moon, he couldn’t help but wonder if c!Tubbo was doing the same, thinking of him.

However, after the Beach Party, everything changed. The thought of seeing the reflection of c!Tubbo in the moon now broke his heart; it was too much to bear.

What kind of a friend would exile and abandon his friend?

Did he ever care?

…He betrayed him, it was clear.

Suddenly, c!Tommy wished to see c!Dream’s mask again, instead of that traitor his best friend. Everything was so much easier with c!Dream- at least, when he was good for him. They’d laugh, have playful banters, go mining, and simply bond together. It almost seemed to be perfect.

After all, c!Dream cares, and would never lie, or abandon him.

Sure, his rules are tough, but if c!Tommy does everything perfectly- if he’s Good Enough, he’ll never be alone again.

If he’s hurt, maybe he simply… deserves it?

• You could say a shikigami is the Japanese equivalent of a familiar, but that's my interpretation.

• The rival refers to Abe-no-Seimei, who bested him multidudes of times in onmyōdō. Which—oversimplification— caused Dōman to be exiled from the capital (Heian-kyō), hence the hatred.

• Secret garden: are essentially the person’s heart and desires. Usually—within Fate CCC— it is uncovered by others. In the case between a servant and their master, it’s purpose usually is to strengthen their bonds.

• Seeing how manipulative Dōman is, he would probably find a way through his darling’s garden. Which, ngl, is terrifying even more so if he wasn't contracted with his darling (not in a servant-master relationship with his darling, meaning he could not be restrained with command seals).

I can absolutely see c!Dream going too far with his desire for power and ending up losing everything, including c!Tommy. These are two identical things, to be honest, because c!Tommy is his everything. If you think about it, it’s pretty much what happened in canon. For example, c!Dream destroying Logstedshire and unknowingly making c!Tommy realise his true intentions and escaping. Or c!Dream snapping, murdering, and reviving c!Tommy in prison to demonstrate him and the whole server his power, only to end up being tortured for a prolonged period of time. Also, c!Dream being less frustrated with the loss of his power than of c!Tommy is very in-character, considering the fact that his entire existence depends on the boy- because without him, he’s nothing and life loses all its meaning. 

Of course c!Dream decides that o!Tommy may be a reincarnation of his c!Tommy, being delusional is his number one trait lol. I wonder what would’ve happened if he travelled through multiple timelines and met multiple versions of his boy. One thing is certain, since he met o!Tommy and he’s as untraumatised as his c!Tommy at the beginning of the server, he can just exile him again and shape him into the perfect plaything. Maybe he’ll do it right this time and the boy will stay with him for longer- he has to, he belongs to him, after all :) 

Considering c!Dream refuses to see o!Tommy for the person he is and is delusionally persuaded that he’s still the c!Tommy he once knew, just slightly different, I can imagine him giving the boy similar things and training him not only to be his perfect puppet but also to resemble c!Tommy even more. Also, consider him trying to trigger the boy’s memories, and upon failing, torturing him to make him remember everything (which is in fact, just creating fake memories under the threat of agonising pain).

Oh I just remembered this AU idea I had that was basically like. c!Dream ends up in the Origins SMP universe after he goes a little too far with his desire for power and godhood and accidentally ends his own universe and his c!Tommy along with it.

After that he's kind of going through it having basically lost everything (but ofc he's way more upset abt losing c!Tommy and all of his power than he is about the entire universe he destroyed lmao), and he kind of just wanders for a bit wondering if there's even any reason to keep going at this point.

That is, until he comes across o!Tommy :) He's different from c!Tommy in a lot of ways but also exactly like him in many others- just a little more feathery and chicken-like :) And Dream gets attached to him immediately, becoming convinced that just maybe the soul of his Tommy wasn't actually destroyed after all and is living on through this one :)

So of course he starts planning a way to exile arc this Tommy and basically make him into his perfect (aka extremely warped) ideal image of c!Tommy despite o!Tommy in reality actually just being his own separate person :) Maybe even to the point of being convinced that o!Tommy could potentially have c!Tommy's memories and he could get him to remember them :) :) :)
