Itrapped headcanons because ive been obsessed with him recently (maybe some ichance if you squint hard enough)

Growing up itrapped essentially had to raise himself. His parents didn't really want to look after him, instead buying him things to keep him busy so by extension hes used to getting everything he wants handed to him.

Also due to his parents being neglectful his perception of love is a little messed up, oftentimes thinking he can just buy peoples affection (spoiler alert this doesnt usually work long term)

Very brutally honest/has no filter, if he thinks you look ugly he'll tell you straight to your face. Usually he isnt trying to be mean on purpose but it definitely seems like it (sometimes hes mean intentionally)

Had little friends growing up and it stayed that way for most of his life, maybe having a friend or two until he met chance

Speaking of chance i like to think that whilst itrapped is using him 100% he also has some feelings for them (not healthy whatsoever. he's very in denial about it which just makes him treat chance worse) and if. IF itrapped were to become a killer in Forsaken i think their relationship would do a full 180 (ie. chance being obsessed with itrapped pre forsaken and then itrapped being obsessed with chance during Forsaken)

How do cosmo and Wanda view Timmy’s parents

Their feelings of Timmy's parents are a mix of anger and gratitude. Without his parents, CosWan would've never been assigned to him! But the Turners should've been better parents.

Without his parents, Timmy wouldn't have wished for Peri!! But the Turners should've been happy with a son.

CosWan's love for Timmy outweighs any hate they may have for the Turners.

*me, with tears of frustration in my eyes* rick didn't include annabeth's crush on luke or luke's pseudo-crush on annabeth for no reason! it is not something that needs to be cut because it's 'gross'! it serves thematic purpose! it adds to characterization! guys! please!

annabeth is twelve, and luke is the guy she's looked up to since she was seven. she not only has that bond, but she has the admiration from him getting his own quest. she has a lot of hero worship going for him, and it's really not unreasonable that she would like him or even that she would think of him as more than a sibling. beyond that, it's a great example of how a person who has never received real, unconditional love can become unhealthily attached to someone who is not good for them just because they've been shown a modicum of respect. if you want to look at it from a percabeth perspective, it could even tie into how her character has to learn the difference between love and kindness from a place of love and respect (i.e. percy) vs love and kindness from a place of obligation and manipulation (i.e. luke as kronos' vessel)

on luke's side, especially with him calling her his little sister now (in the show) and him literally turning into kronos later, it's symbolism for how he's being pulled farther and farther onto the dark side. as kronos takes over his body, he sees her less and less as a sister and more and more of something else, something that would be considered dark and unhealthy by anyone not on the dark side (for good reason), until eventually she has to remind him of their years on the run when he considered her a sister: "Family, Luke. You promised."

you're supposed to be grossed out by it! that means the theme is working!

you're supposed to see a traumatized 12 year old with a crush on her 19 year old mentor and think, "hey, that's weird! i wonder if her not getting any love or attention until she met him plays a role in their relationship?" and eventually see a 24 year old get a villain-induced crush on a 16 year old and think, "hey, that's really weird! i wonder if his turn to the dark side and how that turn happened twisted his view of her?" and ultimately think, "i wonder what that says about the type of trauma that develops in kids who grew up thinking they were unloved, especially since the author specifically wrote the book for his son with disabilities, the author who used to be a teacher, a profession that regularly encounters kids that are actively being abused and neglected?"

When the turtles were around 3-5, Splinter wasn’t very attentive. This was due to a horrible depression, and the turtles simply didn’t understand.

Being Splinter’s favorite, Donnie understood the depth and reason why Splinter wasn’t really around, but couldn’t explain it to Leo or Mikey. Raph barely understood, only knowing that he had to care for his siblings.

Raph never really felt comfortable enough to let Splinter raise his brothers, only really letting up when his younger brothers proved that they could take care of themselves.

Leo has never been Splinter’s favorite, a reflection of himself. Too cocky, too arrogant, too stupid to understand that he made the same mistakes and his life was ruined. Leo and Splinter grew to hate each other, but they loved each other.

Mikey always tried his best to keep his family together, now it’s boiled down to keeping his team together.

Teru has a complicated relationship with his mom, as one does, confusing feelings, he wants to be protected but he doesn't want to leave with her, he wants someone to take care of him but he doesn't remember what its like to be taken care by other people

He is trying his best to not let Mrs Kageyama know anything, he is saying as much information as to explain but as little as to not say anything that would get him in trouble

Eddie was scared.

The room was bright and the walls a pale blue, the AC was running combatting the summer heat. He was sat in the corner having been left in this room a few minutes ago.

"Hello! Do you want to colour with me?"

The young boy who'd been sitting at the short table by the couch had seemed to notice his presence. Eddie glared at him, he wanted to be left alone.

"Why are you angry? Do you not know how to colour?"

That was a stupid question, of course Eddie knew how to colour. Sometimes Mrs Martin across the street would watch him and she always had crayons for her grandkids.

"I know how to colour," he replied sternly not moving from his spot.

The other boy brightened at this however, "Then come colour with me! I'm not very good at staying between the lines but I'm getting better! Miss Sarah always has colours in here."

Miss Sarah had been the one to bring Eddie here, she'd told him to wait while she made a phone call. Begrudgingly, Eddie stood up and plopped down next to the boy.

"Do you come here often? You said you colour a lot?" Eddie asked picking up the big red crayon for his picture of a truck, it kinda looked like his dad's truck but that was blue. Eddie didn't want it to look like his dad's truck.

The other boy nodded, his mood seemed to dim at the question, "Yeah, I missed too many days of school this time so they called Miss Sarah. But it's not my fault the bus doesn't go by my house and it's too far to walk!"

"Doesn't your mom drive you?" This boy seemed like the kind to have a mom, his clothes didn't have any holes in them like Eddie's.

"When she's home, she's usually away with my dad though, but I'm glad when he's gone, he yells a lot."

Eddie nodded at the admission, his dad yelled a lot too.

"They took my dad away, and I don't have a mom anymore," Eddie said, his eyes began to itch.

The other boy put down his crayon and moved around the table wrapping his arms around Eddie, "It's ok, Miss Sarah will help you, I promise."

"Why hasn't she helped you?" Eddie asked, if Miss Sarah was so good why was this boy always here?

Before the boy could answer, Miss Sarah returned, "Eddie, sweetheart, your uncle is here, you'll be staying with him from now on ok?" Eddie hadn't seen his uncle in years but he could remember that his truck was a bright red colour.

"Really? Uncle Wayne is here!"

"Yep, he's already got your backpack so you can see him now."

Eddie got up quickly, he stopped at the doorway as Miss Sarah continued, "Steve, I'm sorry honey but your dad's lawyer got involved again, he's here to pick you up." Steve, at least Eddie knew his name now, nodded sadly like he'd expected this answer.

"That's ok Miss Sarah, you tried," she knelt down to him giving him a big hug, "Next time you call the number I gave you right away ok?"

"I'll try Miss Sarah, the phone isn't always on."

Miss Sarah led the boys out of the room to the waiting room. Eddie's uncle stood up immediately opening his arms which Eddie ran to.

"I'm sorry son, if I'd have known I'd have come got you years ago. Your daddy ain't hurting you no more." Eddie squeezed him tighter. As he and his uncle passed by Steve he gave him a smile and a wave.

"Do you have any idea how embarrassing this was Steven? We'll be having a long discussion about this when we get home." Steve looked like he needed that smile.

Years later, when they were grown Eddie would find a carefully folded piece of paper amongst the other knick knacks the kids had given Steve over the years. He unfolded it to find a bright red truck.

"You kept it?"

"Had to give myself hope she'd help me like she helped you, plus your dimples were adorable."

It may have taken awhile, but eventually both boys found themselves a happy home.

I wrote this when i was half drunk so do mind me if im burning the kitchen with this one

So many hc 1x and c00lkid with father-son/brother/uncle dynamic right?

1x1x1x1 is the embodiment of hatred, and i think manipulative tendencies would prob also fit into 1⁴ too

Going off my hc 1x being hatched from an egg bcz of shed over-inserting his hatred onto the embryo. Shed, being an admin with power, prob had at least somewhat manipulative tendencies, not like serious narcissistic traits, just more like slightly guilttripping the chef to get more chicken wings. He knew these weren't suitable traits for a leader to have, so he inserted those into the warm eggs. 1xs was later hatched but was locked and neglected in the banlands. Child negligence is counted as abuse, so 1x just didn't have the best childhood to grow up.

C00lkidd is really gullible for his age. And prob is really prone to manipulation, like guilttripping by "Your dad is going to be really disappointed with you if you don't do this" or like threats "The spectre will lock you up in a basement if you dont obey their rules" etc

1x uses those quotes to like make c00lkid obey, bcz they dont know how else you would make a child stop throwing a tantrum

Uhh one happy hc

1x does pillow fight with c00lkidd but gets mad bcz c00lkid does not know how to properly fight with a pillow like its a sword so 1x teaches c00lkid

Soap never really got a chance to know his dad. He was always out and whenever he was home, he was stoned and drunk off his ass.

His mother tried his best to raise him and his 3 sisters, but she was basically doing it on her own.

Soap was always more self-sufficient anyway, so his mother mostly left him to his own devices. That wasn't a problem, because she always tried her best to help him when needed.

Over the years though, he's grown to resent them both. His father was never there, and he feels like his mother threw him to the side since he was ‘less trouble than his sisters’.

He still can't trust anyone with parental energy outside of the field. Price and Laswell have to talk to him as his superiors, unlike how they talk to Ghost and Gaz.

Maybe that's why he was so worried when he found out Ghost was pregnant. He thought he'd turn out to be like his parents. But now, standing here, holding little Tommy? He knows he'll never be like them. He's going to give all of his attention to each and every one of his kids, and he's never going to be the mean drunk his father was. Hell, he's gonna try not to drink unless it's a celebration.

one info dump coming right up! (below the cut because i accidentally made it really long)

starting with everyone’s favorite blue hedgehog: sonic was taken in by dr robotnik when he was around seven and stayed with him for several years. now, eggman was not a good father figure at all (i’m not really a fan of wholesome eggdad stories lmao). he only took sonic in because of his super speed and the energy he generated with it. little sonic was none the wiser that eggman was just using him to power his machines and run tests to study his power. he was honestly just having a blast running on treadmills and hanging out with the guy who gave him a place to stay.

however, when sonic was ten, disaster struck.

when sonic was powering up a larger bot, he accidentally overloaded it and the thing exploded. he lost both of his legs and his right arm, all of which received robotic replacements. he lost his natural super speed, but the legs eggman made him were capable of letting him reach those speeds, they just had to be charged (he doesn’t run with them. it’s more like a shadow situation where he skates/kinda hovers? idk how to describe it).

after the accident, sonic was no longer powering the weapons, he became the weapon. eggman would put him through rigorous training and different kinds of tests to try and make the kid unstoppable. it was when this all started that sonic began to realize why eggman kept him around. it wasn’t because the doctor actually gave a shit about it, it was because sonic was useful.

sonic started acting out, making robotnik’s life as much as a living hell as he possibly could. he’d fight him, hide from him, break things, he wouldn’t corporate. he’d rebel in anyway way he could think of, even going as far as refusing to eat.

eventually, he started getting gaps in his memory. one second he’d be hiding in his room and the next he was in the testing chamber with eggman talking about how much he’s improved. the gaps became more and more frequent and it became to drive him crazy.

when sonic turned thirteen, he ran away. he ran as far as his half powered legs would take him; and when they ran out of juice, he just kept jogging and walking as far as he could. he knew that the doctor probably installed a tracker on him, but he didn’t care. he just wanted out, he wanted his freedom.

his aimlessly wandering led him to a richer looking neighborhood near a city. and it was there that he met a certain fox kit.

miles wasn’t abandoned by his parents when he was a baby. the prowers were a somewhat wealthy family. they mostly kept the kit around to gain sympathy from their friends and the media, playing the part of the kind parents who loved their youngest son despite his deformities and disabilities. miles was paraded around at parties and social events to garner sympathy, then ignored and neglected when the camera weren’t around.

he had two older brothers. a pair of twins who bullied him relentlessly. miles’s parents would turn a blind eye to the cruelty he suffered at the hands of them. they’d pull his fur, threaten to cut off his extra tail, lock him in closets for hours, etc.

because if everything around him, something was brewing inside of miles, but his biological family wouldn’t be the ones who suffered from it.

one day, miles had been kicked out of the house for several hours after accidentally breaking a plate. the six year old sat on the doorstep, heavy raining pelting him as he waited for his parents to let him back inside, if they even remembered to.

suddenly, someone was in front of him, asking if he was okay. looking up, a blue hedgehog with robotic limbs was staring down at him.

anyway there are the backstories! they make me so sad!

little facts about them

- sonic did just kidnap tails the night they met. king of impulsive decisions right here

- the brothers started commiting crimes in desperation for money and food, but they ended up having a lot of fun with it so they just decided to become criminals

- tails painted sonic’s limbs blue (they were red before) when sonic was upset one day to cheer him up (it worked)

- those gaps in memory sonic used to get with robotnik make a come back with tails (hmm i wonder what that’s about…)

- tails eventually becomes eggman 2.0 in terms of how he treats sonic (the only difference being that tails does care for and love sonic, he’s just the actual worst at showing it)

- sonic doesn’t know that tails is manipulating him the same way eggman did. tails can do nothing wrong in his eyes

- their bond actually started out as sonic being kinda mean to tails. the hedgehog deals with rapid mood swings and he’d snap over the smallest things. eventually, tails started taking advantage of his unstable behavior. they both suck

- sonic fully believes he’s the leader of their operations. he is not but tails plays along with it

- tails is terrified of sonic leaving him behind so he makes it so the hedgehog is dependent on him (he also does it because it gives him control). the kit is the only one other than eggman who knows how to power his limbs. if he doesn’t want to go back to the doctor, he better stick with tails

aaaaand i think that pretty much everything. at least the main points. i hate them both so much my stupid ass sons
