Great week to get really into Hallmark Christmas movies and celebrate whatever the fuck.
The Heisman is probably going to Travis Hunter, which is neat because of the two-way player thing and also because the top overall recruit has, for once, absolutely lives up to all of his hype. It’s also sort of unsatisfying in some way that I can’t quite figure out. I think I just hate the way Colorado plays but I want to give the RTARLsman to basically anybody else even though I can’t find even the weakest justification to do so. Oh, well, maybe we’ll just come back to this after some playoff games. I said MAYBE.

One thing that was weird to me in an interview Rick made after the Medusa episode was when, in regards to the changes from the books and how Annabeth instantly figured out where they were, he says around the lines of "Oh she's a daughter of Athena, goddess of wisdom, so why didn't figure this out sooner in the books" or something like that (correct me, politely, if I am wrong). And, to that, while I understand wanting things to be different from the books it's also important to note that isn't it implicitly stated that, in the books, both Percy and Annabeth were under some sort of magical spell that basically had them throwing out basic thinking out the window? And also weren't they literally starving after having little to nothing to eat for hours? And also, again, they were kids! They probably aren't going to figure things out right away no matter how smart, especially when hungry!

Probably just the likely PMDD (and I am keeping a system journal ahead of my appointment on Tuesday) but every time I am watching tv on the couch and a member of my family walks in and turns on the lights I want to commit violence. They’re not even coming into the room to do anything, they just think that I should have the lights on and don’t ask, they just do.
#my dad is also being an asshole about the tv volume now that he has hearing aide#he’s always fucking streaming Rick and Morty directly into them from his phone so I don’t see why it fucking matters what I’m watching#I have it at this volume because this is the volume I can hear it at#take out your hearing aids if you don’t want to hear it except he’s always fucking listening to something else anyways#in another room#he has to come in and bitch about what I’m doing and then leave#why does it FUCKING matter#if he were to ask me nicely to turn it down that would be one thing#but he just walks in#and while staring at his phone not even looking up#he’ll say ‘that’s really loud em’#and then walk out#YOU DIDNT NEED TO SAY THAT

idk why but i have really strong nostalgic connections with the way i watched tv shows for the first time
#personal crap#i feel like I've mentioned this but it makes me weirdly happy#whenever i watch robot wars i get this association of watching it after school on a friday with garlic pizza bread perched on my lap#with doctor who it's racing into the living room in the evening frantically setting up the tv before it starts#a lot of comedies i grew up with like simpsons or red dwarf i associate with having on in the back room or a little bedroom tv#for sp and su it's mostly watching em at night in my uni dorm (sometimes I'd binge em late into the night or stay up to watch new ones)#i haven't rewatched toh really but i feel like with that it'd be waking up early the morning after a new episode and watching it on my phone

looking back i definitely said id watch the pjo d+ show no matter what but like after the first episode it was very much not for me. i like that it exists and most fans seem to be happy about it and im glad that someone out there is getting exposed to pjo for the first time through that sort of hype but its like....... for me at least some things are supposed to get to you at 12 and not 20 (i think i was 20 when it came out?) and that is fine. i think if it came out While i was still 12 it wouldve been earth shattering groundbreaking stuff. im still not over black annabeth like thats the one part of the show i would go back n watch for. black annabeth my beautiful daughter
