Funny thing about Chuck and Sarah's relationship is that I expected it to be sort of an "enemies (or rather, annoyed acquaintances) to lovers" type thing, especially seeing the Season 1 promotional ad spots on YouTube and the first half of the pilot due to Chuck being the "normie sitcom dork" and Sarah being the "hot blonde spy" archetypes.

But no; the fact that both parties have mutual appreciation for each other right away despite being from two different worlds (a normie and a spy) and that appreciation makes their romantic development much more believable despite their archetypes being, at the very surface, the recipe for the opposite (which probably says something about them as characters rather than the archetypes whose associated stereotypes they defy for the most part imo) feels somewhat... weirdly wholesome.

Instead the "annoyed acquaintance" archetype goes to the other party who has to work with them, the big guy John Casey, who has to see them develop feelings for each other and won't stop teasing them about it in the earlier seasons.
