Lord Vishnu Sri Chennakeshava Temple, Turuvekere, Karnataka

Panduranga Sharma B wrote : Sri Chennakeshava temple is a ekakuta temple built by Somanna Dannayaka - a general under the reign of Hoysala King Narasimha III. During the time of Hoysalas, Turuvekere was a prominent Agrahara named Sarvajna Vijaya Narasimhapuri.

The temple faces east and has Mukhamantapa, Navaranga Antarala and Garbhagriha. Like other Hoysala temples this temple too stands on a star shaped Jagati (Platform). It is a fine example of Bhumija style of architecture.

The beautiful vigraha of Chennakeshava inside the garbhagriha is carved out of Krishnashila (black stone) and stands on a Garuda peetha (pedestal). Chennakeshava holds Shanka and Chakra in his back hands, while in his front holds he holds Padma and Gadha. There are miniature carvings of Vishnu's Dashavatars on the prabhavali.

लॉकडाउन और सोशल डिस्टेंसिंग लागू करने के लिए देश की सरकार जहां कड़ी मेहनत कर रही है, वहीं कुछ जनप्रतिनिधि ऐसे हैं जो खुलेआम इसकी धज्जियां उड़ा रहे हैं. इन्हें न तो सरकारी आदेशों की परवाह है और न ही लोगों की सुरक्षा का ख्याल.

कर्ना��क के टुमकुर में बीजेपी विधायक ने अपने जन्मदिन पर शाही अंदाज में बिरयानी बांटी जिससे भीड़ लग गई. दूसरी तरफ झारखंड के जामताड़ा में कांग्रेस विधायक लोगों के बीच पैसे बांटने लगे. इससे भी यहां लोग जमा हो गए.

देश में अभी लॉकडाउन चल रहा है. कोरोना कहर बरपा रहा है. सरकार ने लोगों से भीड़ न जमा करने को कहा है, लेकिन कर्नाटक के बीजेपी विधायक एम जयराम को इसकी कोई परवाह नहीं. उन्होंने तमाम बंदिशों के बावजूद अपने जन्मदिन को शाही अंदाज में मनाया.

कर्नाटक के तुरवकेरे से बीजेपी विधायक एम जयराम ने टुमकुर के सरकारी स्कूल में अपने जन्मदिन की पार्टी रखी. इस पार्टी में गुब्बी तालुक की जनता बड़ी संख्या में आई. इस पार्टी में जनता का स्वागत बिरयानी खिलाकर किया गया. इस दौरान लोगों ने मास्क तो पहन रखे थे, लेकिन सोशल डिस्टेंसिंग की कोई परवाह नहीं की गई. बता दें कि कर्नाटक कोरोना वायरस का संक्रमण झेल रहा है. यहां पर 190 लोग कोरोना की चपेट में हैं, जबकि 30 लोग इलाज के बाद ठीक हो चुके हैं, 6 लोगों की मौत इलाज के दौरान हुई है.

झारखंड में सरकार के सहयोगी कांग्रेस के विधायक इरफान अंसारी भी सोशल डिस्टेंसिंग का मजाक उड़ाते दिखे. एक वीडियो में वो महिलाओं के बीच 10-10 रुपये बांटते दिख रहे हैं. महिलाएं लाइन में खड़ी हैं और वे सभी को रुपये दे रहे हैं.

ये घटना जामताड़ा विधानसभा क्षेत्र के मोहनपुर गांव की है. जब इस बारे में विधायक इरफान से पूछा गया तो उन्होंने कहा की वे लोगों को वहां से भगा रहे थे. जबकि वीडियो में वो साफ-साफ लोगों के बीच 10-10 रुपये बांटते दिख रहे हैं. इरफान अंसारी ने कहा कि वे विधायक हैं और जहां भी पहुंचते हैं लोग जुट जाते हैं.
