Astro Remediation: Skin Conditions

Ever wonder if you can identify which aspects and placements in your natal chart can indicate skin conditions? Well, in Vedic Astrology, I can do this for you as well as customize a remediation plan for your personal road to recovery.

This is based on Ancient Astrology and Auyrvedic Healing. I struggled with acne as well as back acne for most of my good years. Nothing ever worked but then I tried the Eastern Medicine approach and implemented my knowledge of Astrology to help create a regimine for myself. It's truly magical what Astrology can reveal to us and even remedy for us. Everything can be alchemized as long as you have the tools and knowledge in front of you.

The Moon, Mars, and Saturn are also important planets to consider when evaluating skin health.

Here are some possible aspects and placements that may indicate skin conditions, along with potential remediation measures:

Facial acne, cystic acne, back acne, and body acne:

Mars or Saturn in the 1st house or 6th house, especially in water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces)

Moon afflicted by Mars or Saturn, particularly in the 1st, 6th, or 8th house

Ascendant or 6th house lord afflicted by Mars or Saturn

Rahu or Ketu in the 1st or 6th house

Remediation:

Wear a red coral or bloodstone gemstone to pacify Mars

Chant the Gayatri mantra or the Maha Mrityunjaya mantra for spiritual healing

Practice stress-reducing techniques like meditation, yoga, or pranayama

Psoriasis and other autoimmune skin disorders:

Moon afflicted by Saturn, Rahu, or Ketu, particularly in the 1st, 6th, or 8th house

Saturn in the 1st house or 6th house, especially in fire signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius)

6th house lord in the 8th house or 8th house lord in the 6th house

Weak or afflicted Sun in the chart

Remediation:

Wear a moonstone or pearl to strengthen the Moon

Chant the Mahamrityunjaya mantra or the Surya mantra for healing

Practice stress-reducing techniques and maintain a regular sleep schedule

Follow a sattvic diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains

Eczema and other inflammatory skin conditions:

Pitta (fire) dominant constitution, with a strong presence of Mars, Sun, or Ketu in the chart

Mars or Ketu in the 1st house or 6th house, especially in fire signs

Ascendant or 6th house lord afflicted by Mars or Ketu

Moon afflicted by Mars or Sun, particularly in the 1st, 6th, or 8th house

Remediation:

Wear a moonstone or pearl to balance the Moon and reduce Pitta

Chant the Shiva mantra or the Durga mantra for spiritual healing

Practice cooling pranayama techniques like Sheetali or Sheetkari

Follow a Pitta-pacifying diet, avoiding spicy, sour, and fermented foods

Fungal skin infections:

Kapha (water and earth) dominant constitution, with a strong presence of Moon, Venus, or Jupiter in the chart

Moon or Venus in the 1st house or 6th house, especially in water or earth signs

Ascendant or 6th house lord afflicted by Moon or Venus

It's important to note that these are general guidelines. I will not be revealing every remediation or chart indication in this post as there are a lot more nuances that go into harsher conditions, such as ones developed due to issues such as auto immune diseases. Additionally, while astrological remedies can be helpful, it is always advisable to consult with a qualified healthcare professional for proper diagnosis and treatment of any skin condition.

Backstory (TW: grief, parent death, implied neglect)

 Was there ever a sweeter little boy? All he ever wanted to do was help. A child cursed with a soft heart and open arms, born into a life that seemed determined to tear him to pieces.  He got his gentleness from his mother, Chandra Brar. At only twenty-years old, she was innocent, naïve, entirely unaware that a person could say they love you, only to leave you in the same breath. Darshan was supposed to be the beginning of a long, happy life together- but how could she know a father would deny his own son? Heavily pregnant, Chandra moved to Red Creek to escape the pitying looks and  judgmental stares. It was not an easy life, and they had very little, but they were happy enough- and that happiness only grew when Chandra met the man she would marry. He was a stoic man, deeply religious and cold, but he was good, and it was clear that he adored Chandra and Darshan.  After a few years of marriage, they welcomed Darshan’s sibling to the world [see WC], and at last- Chandra had her happy family.  But it would not last long. Before his sibling’s first birthday, Darshan's step-father would pass in a freak accident, leaving Chandra alone once again. Something broke in Darshan’s mother that day, and she threw herself into religion, sure there was something she had to atone for. Why else would she be subjected to this twice? But God stayed quiet, and Chandra spent the rest of her life waiting to hear his voice. It was up to Darshan to pick up the pieces. At 18, Darshan fled. He felt terrible about leaving his sibling behind with an absent mother, but he desperately wanted to go to college, to do something for himself for the first time. His first semester was great- life was lighter, easier to shoulder. But it would not last- he was called home. His mother had died after falling suddenly and gravely ill, and he had to drop out of school to take custody of his sibling.  Police work wasn’t his first choice, but he was young and able-bodied, the work paid well, and the department only required a high school diploma. It was only supposed to be temporary- eventually, he was going to leave, go back to school, start his own life. But eight years have passed, and still he sits, still he waits, dust gathering on his vision of the future. Darshan lives in his family home on Norwood Street, and is a frequent patron of Dolly’s Diner and the Redstone. He is prone to drinking a little too much, but he’s a fun drunk and it doesn't happen that often, so it’s kind of whatever. He takes his job seriously, doesn’t let a ton slide while he’s in uniform, but when he’s off-duty, he doesn’t really care that much. As long as you don’t offer him coke or do something incredibly illegal in front of him, he will probably be chill about it.

friends of all kinds!! drinking buddies, childhood friends, co-workers, people he just runs into a lot. close or casual, i will take them all.  frequent fliers at the station!! people who get into trouble often, and know darshan well because of it. it could be fun if they got along, but it could also be fun to do an arch-enemy, jake peralta/doug judy type of thing. enemies!! someone he gave a ticket to once, and they are still mad about it. someone who just doesn't like cops (valid). someone who just hates his vibe for some reason. an ex, or an old friendship that ended poorly. someone who wants to hold this man!! totally open to all possibilities here. he's probably oblivious to it because he can't imagine someone wanting to care for him. it could be a casual thing where someone caught feelings, or a friendship they don’t want to ruin, or a constant right person, wrong time thing. give me yearning or give me DEATH his sibling!! this will be a WC on the main, but he was essentially their parent for a large part of their life- even before their mom died. they can be close or they could even dislike each other!! maybe they have stayed religious, while darshan has turned away from it. maybe they feel like he abandoned them when he went to college. maybe they still live together, and hang out and are chill. these are all options that work.

The Sistine Chapel Crucifix

On Saturday, December 12, 1931, Gandhi had a strange encounter with one such man ["of faith and non-violence incarnate"]. It took place in the Vatican Museums. After being shown the masterpieces of some of the world's greatest artists, Gandhi was taken to the Sistine Chapel — the place where Popes had been elected since 1492; the place where Michelangelo's paintings adorn the ceiling and Raphael's tapestries decorate the sturdy walls alongside frescoes of Perugino, Botticelli, Ghirlandaio, and Rosselli. Here, amidst the profusion of colour, symbols, tradition, and against the backdrop of Michelangelo's Last Judgment, Gandhi's eyes fell on a simple wooden crucifix at the centre of the high altar. A common tourist would normally have been transfixed by Michelangelo's depiction of lost souls in contorted bodies behind it. But Gandhi was neither a commoner nor a tourist. He stopped before the crucifix for some time. He contemplated the dying Christ, half-naked, bleeding, and suspended by nails in his hands and feet. He surveyed the image, moving to look at it from the rear of the altar, then from each side, "as if to perform a pradakshina [circumabulation of a deity] of it." Mira noticed his moist eyes. He then whispered to Desai on his way out of the chapel, "One can't help being moved to tears." The Pope's inability to grant him an audience and Mussolini's sinister hospitality coalesced in this unexpected encounter with the Crucified — author of the 'Beatitudes' he loved so much.

The Sharma's - an introduction

Sasha Sharma is Esther and Darshan's first daughter. She is the pride of her parents as she excels at school and is currently a part of the cheerleader team. Her father wants her to follow his path by becoming a doctor, but Alex keeps avoiding this conversation. Is she going to follow her father's will ? Or choose to become the fashion influencer she dreams to be ? For now, she has other issues to deal with. Months ago, she started dating one of her brother's friend : Enzo. However, Alex fears that he might be cheating on her since the beginning of their relationship, causing her a lot of anxiety and a lack of confidence...

Jordan Sharma, Alex's little brother, has always had gifted hands. Basket, piano and electric guitar have no more secrets for him. But his teenage years lead him to other activities, more "fun" and sometimes even illegals. But who cares ? Enjoying his new interest for girls and have a smoke in the skatepark with all his friends while listening to metal songs seems to be a part of his routine now. But his highschool years will eventually come to an end and it might be hard for Jordan to decide on what is gonna shape his future.

Esther Sharma, Darshan's spouse, has always been a good mother, too rigorous sometimes, she admits it, but she could give her own life for her children. She has always been devoted to them, devoted to her husband, devoted to her boring job. And, one day, before she even got the time to see it coming, mid-life crisis had interfere in her life. What about her ? What does she really like ? What does she dislike ? Lately, Esther wants to discover her true self before it is too late. And it started by adopting her first cat, Samson, a big fur ball.

Darshan Sharma is a quiet and loving man. He has always been proud of his indian ancestry, even though he doesn't discuss much about it. As his own parents, the future of his kids has been a priority since their births. But it might be hard for him to get them to follow his wishes. Often at work, he is missing a lot on Alex and Jordan's developments without even realising it.
