I thought I'd seen all the season 2 publicity but Michael asking David about his nerve curve and saying he SAW IT?!

Oh my lordy.

Hi there! First let me apologize for my egregious dereliction of duty when it comes to answering these Asks/Anons. RL stuff has been clogging up my brain and so I just haven't been in the right headspace for answering questions (hence why I temporarily shut off Asks altogether).

To your question, I did indeed see that clip! I think there were SO many interviews happening that day that this somehow passed us all by, but it absolutely is worth talking about...

For those who may be wondering about the subtext here, "nerve curve" (in anatomical terms) generally refers to something related to the curve of the spine. What Michael (shamelessly) seems to be alluding to, then, is him seeing David's bare back and/or his arse.

I mean...good lord. This marks at least the third occasion where Michael has publicly talked about/thirsted over David's body ("slinky hips" twice, and also "sylph-like chest") in the last four years. Whatever filter exists in most human brains clearly does not exist in his, and I suppose we can be thankful for that, but also...wow, Michael.

The truly amazing thing, however, is this wasn't even the only sexual innuendo related to David that Michael made that day, as there was also this gem:

I sometimes wonder how long Michael is going to have to "joke" about him seeing David naked or him having sex with David before people finally pause and go, "Wait a minute..." And the nerve curve moment is so delicious because we can see David actually blushing after Michael says he saw it. They're both so drunk on each other and it is truly gorgeous to watch.

And as much as we miss Michael and David, I don't think it even holds a candle to how much they must miss each other. I can only hope that the studios will get their heads out of their collective asses and come to an agreement with SAG/WGA to end the strikes, because I so thoroughly want more of whatever this is to grace our screens. Please and thank you...

To say you jumped in with both feet is a bit of an understatement, I feel! This is really impressive and thorough and I definitely recommend reading it. I agree with a lot of what you said. After I made the post, I considered editing it multiple times as I kept watching because I was thinking the part about having hypnotized her may not have been totally correct, but you did a deeper analysis than I ever thought of doing. Thank you for this and for tagging me so that I could read it.

I remembered the sign in the coffee shop and the clock during the kiss/breakup scene, but I also just assumed they were unintentional production continuity errors. Your ideas regarding "continuity errors" are interesting and compelling, though, and I'll definitely keep that in mind as I watch more. As for the clock in particular, I just assumed that they used a functioning clock and that it could've taken multiple takes or just taken time to make any changes on set from one scene/part of the scene to another and that the clock just wasn't reset, since this sort of thing happens in TV and movies all the time (for example, a digital watch or a cell phone clearly reading 10:30 when an analog clock in the background says 9:15 or something).

I do have a couple of questions about the last part. Is the Shakespeare connection meant to be because of them having gone to see his play(s) when they were first performed? If so, is it more about the fact that it was something they did together or that it is something they each separately enjoyed? From what I recall, Crowley wasn't exactly excited to be meeting Aziraphale at the performance of Hamlet and even complained about it being one of the tragedies (which I believe he said he didn't like), and I don't remember further mention of it by either of them. (I could definitely be wrong. I am rapidly heading toward sleep and probably not remembering everything correctly.)

And now, as an FYI to you and anyone else who may care,

I believe I stopped my rewatch from the weekend when I posted this after s2e4, but I'm not sure, due to needing to sleep, but I also just haven't had the heart or will to go back and watch the end again yet. I'm only able to watch things and get on here at the end of the week because I work 2 jobs and usually end up sleeping on the first day of my weekend due to not really sleeping during my workweek thanks to the hours of said jobs, so I may take a while to respond to things, but I promise I'm not ignoring you and will get to notifications when I can. <3

Regarding Crowley - Warning: Good Omens season 1 finale and season 2 spoilers

I'm rewatching (because of course I am), and I would just like to point out that while we knew he could stop time, he stopped time and prevented SATAN from arriving, even if only temporarily. A demon prevented his master from appearing and faced seemingly no repercussions for that particular action, as if Satan had no idea it even happened. He probably could've destroyed Crowley in the blink of an eye and gone right back to Adam.

If Crowley is strong/powerful enough to even temporarily stop SATAN, what level of angel must he have been?? What level of demon must he have been at this point?? Not only can he stop time and manipulate minds/thoughts (granted, Aziraphale does plant the dream suggestion in Sister Mary Loquacious' head in S1E1), but in season/series 2, we find out that he can control and create weather and that as an angel, he created stars and galaxies and was apparently part of the group that planned gravity. Even if these are miracles, who is granting him the miracles to do these things? Correct me if I'm wrong, but we haven't seen any of the other angels or demons do any of those things. The closest I can think of is Aziraphale changing his own clothes with that of the would-be executioner in S1, and changing the color and horn of the Bentley in S2 (which Crowley can feel) and Anathema's bike in S1 after it was damaged from the collision.

In the ever flooding ocean of stories, there are some that stand out, that I think about days or weeks later, that touch me more than others. Once a month, I make a post about one of those:

This story takes the reader on a journey of hurt and comfort, trauma and healing, fear and courage. Instead of the summary, I’d like to quote the beginning, that told me right from the start that this was going to make a rewarding read:

He stood at the window, full in the afternoon sunshine that angled in between the curtains—velvet, once the color of a fine Zinfandel but now somewhat faded on the outer side, with a few trailing threads at the hem that brushed over the floorboards. Every year, Michael would suggest replacing them; every year, he would pretend to consider it. But he loved those worn old curtains. He reached out as he stood there, closing a fold of the fabric between two fingers to feel the warmth that the sun had infused there, the soft prickle as the tiny strands shifted.

The intercom chimed. A pleasant sound—a low, musical chirp. (They had cycled through seven different machines before finding one whose alert had pleased him.)

In 15 chapters and ~ 97 k words, this e-rated Human AU with teacher Aziraphale and rock star Crowley is a story that captured me, that made me think, that is still with me weeks later. It’s so well written that it, again, makes me regret a lot of those “real books” by “professional authors” I bought and read in the years before I found the AO3, a lot of which did not come up to this high quality. There’s music in here, a poetic song, metaphors that really spoke to me, and flashbacks that were expertly handled and used to tell the story the best way possible. There’s also fanart! Needless to say, the characters are relatable and loveable.

One word regarding the e-rating, as this is something many people either love or hate: the scenes regarding sex in this are rather rare, can not be called smut at all, are very tasteful, some are more described symbolically than explicitly, and still manage to be highly erotic.

Oh, I love this. It does seem plausible that he is standing on tiptoe so as not to break the kiss. To show how close he was to being swept into Crowley, to forgetting the choice he'd already made. It's such a perfect little touch, and I am now wondering if that was more Aziraphale or Michael, especially since now we have confirmation that it was him touching Crowley/David's chest in the pub scene...

Can't believe you haven't commented on the "wear a kilt the traditional way" answer from the Attitude interview given this post 🤣

Hah! I did notice that answer in the Attitude interview, and I am of course delighted by David's continued cheekiness. I think he's mentioned in at least a few interviews now (prior to the BAFTAs, and then today) that there will be multiple costume/outfit changes, so I would not be at all surprised if a kilt is somewhere in the cards.

I suppose it might be a bit much to hope for it being this super short kilt, though...

...but we can still keep hope alive.

It's interesting as well that David just spent three months wearing a kilt almost every night for Macbeth, and given that, I imagine he will feel very comfortable in one right now. I know they had to wear shorts under those kilts for the production, but the idea of David being giddy with ecstatic glee at the thought of wearing a kilt the traditional way at the BAFTAs is almost too much to handle. But if he does...I imagine we are in for quite a treat...

Here’s a Sneak Preview of my contribution to the current Ineffable Frames project, #EveryFrameOfEden , by @gomensframes

The film snippet that gets made into art frame by frame by hundreds of different artists is, this time, a bit of the dialogue between Crowley and Aziraphale on the wall of Eden, from S1.

We are not allowed to show the whole frame before the project is finalised (deadline for the single frames is October 1st), but I think you can tell mine is gonna be very GAY (the term originally meant 'carefree', 'cheerful', or 'bright and showy')!!!
