a reason it's hard to make quality irl friends: last night we learned a greek song in my singing group (i've never sung in greek before!) and because of that i learned that the bulgarian and albanian word for "rose" is the same as the modern greek word for "rose" (which is a very cool word and means "30 leaves" i think--the greek was the last version i learned lmao) and that's SO COOL. 1) parts of a region influencing each others' languages and 2) once again albanian is much less of a distant and weird language than it initially appears! so anyway i just want to tell EVERYONE about this! but 'irl people' aren't interested in this kind of thing! sigh

As someone with a large danish and turkish family the cultural differences that come with visiting them insane. Do not flame me but my god. I do not prefer visits from turkish family. It is so formal for no reason. I am expected to serve them and take their annual “girl youve gotten fat. What are those tattoos” breakdown. 0 support for my interests. 0 things in common.
