Heading to the EAST from your COZY UNDEFENDED HOMETOWN, you quickly enter VULCAN. Rivers of lava flow beneath the desperate, cracked earth, visible from the many bridges that connect the land. The only plants which survive here are either extremely drought tolerant or rely on the native lava floes to survive.

This is not to say there are none. In fact, the proper term for Vulcan's flora is "How the fuck are there this many goddamned plants here, I thought it was supposed to be a desert."

I am still trying to figure this tumblr thing out so I can post some fun stuff to my Travels With Snowbirds blog this winter.  My problem today is hashtags.  How do i permanently store them for reuse in subsequent posts?  It does seem to me that the iPad app is much more robust than the iPhone app, but I sure don’t want to carry my iPad wherever I go so I can post on the fly.  Or, is that it?  I just take pictures with my phone and post at the end of the day from my iPad?

... many of these plants are succulents, which are known to be drought tolerant once established. The plants down by the lava floes are almost certainly native to the area, if they can survive that kind of heat. But you can't quite shake the feeling that some of these plants don't quite seem to belong.

You pause on the steel bridge. Sure enough, the inexplicable flora seem to be growing in the steel.

A Tumblr Question?

I have a Tumblr related question: I've been hearing about something called "porn bots" here on Tumblr. Could these women who keep following me with their adult, male-oriented pages actually be porn bots? I ask this as it bewilders me that I keep getting followed by such people, even though my page says I'm a woman, NOT a man, and I have a disclaimer on my page also stating that I'm a woman, not a man, and do not wish to be followed by people with explicit pages. If these people actually are porn bots, is there anything I can do to prevent any more follows by them? I logged on earlier today, and found I was being followed by yet another of these women, someone calling herself AshleyBLusty, whose page was nothing but pictures of herself in various states of undress.
