every day rop creators get anons saying, unprompted, the meanest shit. a good percentage of it is racist.

in a decade on tumblr, having participated in pretty much all the major fandoms, i’ve never seen anything like it. part of it is trolls and right-wing fans being shitty, of course. but well-meaning supposedly progressive fans are also so protective of lotr and so ignorant of the ways white supremacy has infiltrated Tolkien fandom they’re consuming and regurgitating the right-wing rhetoric about the show. (besides, while I understand boycotting amazon, no one has this energy for league of their own and good omens.)

I continue to block liberally. but the Tolkien fans who tried to gatekeep fandom from rop interlopers to preserve “true” fandom, or who hypocritically railed against rop’s amazon association, and who ever sent anon hate, “maybe… you’re the bad guys”? (reference to outdated meme. humor me.) maybe try some self-reflection instead of acting with all the grace and maturity of a 4-year-old throwing a temper tantrum because some other kid got a toy.

ironically, many/most rop fans are, indeed, fans of the legendarium, and were before rop and will continue to be after rop. but we’re witnessing the fandom attempting to eat itself, ouroborous gnawing on its tail, in a misdirected attempt to preserve itself that is actually causing harm.

So I have been working on this fella for a while (In Ibispaint it says like 26 hours but in reality its been a few days) ever since I decided to take a small break from working on Ryan. This guy (Yes guy, I'm not sure you read the title but this is infact a MAN) is for a DT I'm having with a frend based on my Lil universe/story called "A Stargazer's Diary" & this guy is a antagonist in the story.

On the left is his Drag Queen/Dancer get up while on the right is his Gang leader get up. Yes he's a gang leader & will brutally myorder you if you lose to a game of poker with him). He is often referred to as Mr. Casanova when he is in his gang leader suit but when he is not & working as a dancer/entertainer at the casino/Hotel he owns, he is referred to as "Queen Rosette". (& yes teh rose motifs are everywhere)

A game I haven't played in literally 1 year and 5 months, per one of my villagers (shockingly not overrun by weeds, guess Nintendo laid off the guilt tripping). And then what happened??? I only played for less than an hour.

Haven't a single damn clue. 11 hour work days for the second 6-day workweek in a row is really fucking with me lmao

Next thing I knew, it was time to shower if I wanted my hair reasonably dry for bonnet time without it being soaked when I gotta get up for work. And my weekend is definitely shot cause no way in hell are we not working Sunday and my brother is graduating this Saturday with the degree he needs to be a licensed therapist. So we gotta get up early to drive there and damn is this month a bitch already lmao

At the very least, if memory serves, I'm only waiting on two more folks to tell me what they want for their event gift/slots. Everyone else is spoken for and in theory I should be able to actually work on them soon without worrying about stopping and waiting for anyone.

In all fairness to myself, I've got 4 hours of free time when I get home and I don't sleep nearly enough as it is. Still gotta eat and shower too...

Gonna disappear again for a bit after posting this

Decided to major in animation because ever since losing all of my confidence when it comes to writing creatively in Creative Writing class, my focus has been moved entirely to storyboards and scripts. Storytelling is still my passion but clearly I'm not very good with words, and tbh the only reason I had ever really been confident in my writing is because I'm good with grammar. I feel like my storyboards/scripts are pretty good and capture the exact energy I've never really been able to get across in my writing, but actual animation capabilities are still yet to be seen because I can barely fucking draw in the first place. Gonna also experiment with 3D modeling in college, because who knows, maybe I'm better if I can see my work from multiple angles at a time.

Maybe I'll host a MAP at some point when I fully come back to tumblr. If I do, it'll probably be centered around Traffic Life. Or maybe IBVS if there's enough people.

Fandom-wise, I somehow managed to get Echos obsessed with Traffic Life by showing them some episodes of Secret Life (specfically Tango's Torchy one). Then we watched Empires together, and now Echos is watching season 10 of Hermitcraft with me (Grian, Scar, and Joel's povs, though without them I've also been watching Mumbo, Bdubs, occasionally Zed, and now Doc. Before season 10 I only watched Grian, Scar, and Bdubs). I've even started working on a little something centered around Jimmy and the Canary Curse. Also add Xornoth to the list of even remotely evil-aligned characters that I thought were dudes at first and find out they're nonbinary/genderfluid/genderqueer after I start crushing on them. This is the, what, fifth time? At this point if I get a crush on a character I should just immediately start calling them by they/them. Specifically the Empires the Musical one btw, not the one that's just Smajor with a voice filter.

Still been having major nostalgia for Feral ever since downloading Emuferal. Got Krita to paint something based on it but I don't know when I'll post that. Wrote around three complete animatic scripts featuring the Blood Tundra kobolds. Three is actually a very small number compared to the amount I normally write per fandom. (Then again, I've only got around 2-ish for IBVS. That's probably because I like to focus on symbolism for my animation scripts, and the only consistent symbolism I can think of for IBVS is with Isaac and birds. He's been drawn in a bird cage, which is very much known to symbolize being trapped or lacking some kind of freedom. In another bit of art he's been drawn with wings, showing the achievement of freedom. Freedom from what? Hell if I know. Possibly unrelated to the bird stuff, in another bit of art, Isaac is seen holding Drew's hand. Drew has a confused, upset expression, and Isaac's expression is unreadable as always but I interpret it as being rather solemn. Isaac's feet are, notably, not on the fucking ground. He's drifting away, and Drew's trying to hold onto him. This could symbolize Isaac shutting down emotionally/socially and Drew trying to help. Or, if this connects to the freedom symbolism, Isaac might fucking die by the end of IBVS. It's probably the first one. I am eating this shit up I fucking adore symbolism.)

Speaking of IBVS, I've been reworking Curse!IBVS. The version I posted about in the past was basically the second version of Curse (I never posted anything about the first) so this one would be version three. Isaac's going back to being much more like version 1 because I decided I'm not a huge fan of the second one for multiple reasons. Due to Drew having healing powers, he and Nevin are also getting reworked - I even wrote a little snippet surrounding them just to get the vibes right, but I don't think I'll ever post it. Edward's curse is basically staying the same, but the way he handles it is being changed so he can work as a sort of foil to Nevin. I'm still trying to figure out how to turn Dez's power into a curse without making it too similar to Nevin's or Edward's. And I'm thinking Chris and Charlie can be more similar to normal IBVS, and then I can use Chris as a sort of anchor to introduce everything else. Also my brain keeps showing my this huge dramatic climax scene but unfortunately I think it's a little too out-of-character and I have no clue how it'd even get to that point.

Got the fourth Animorphs graphic novel. The whale thing is still super weird. Ax looks nothing like I imagine him. Not much more to say on that.

Started playing Royale High more regularly but it's a bit depressing because I've been playing since it was Winx Fairies and Mermaids Roleplay and now it's just Work a Job to Buy Useless Items and Invest in the Stock Market Simulator. Idk the musical chairs minigame is pretty fun.

Warrior Cats animations continue to be my main inspiration for basically everything I've ever drawn. I could write about them for hours but it's already 1am so I probably shouldn't. Oh and the new arc is pretty good if you cut out everything that isn't Frostpaw. Might be my new favorite pov character.

Really disappointed Camp Camp ended on ep 4 of the new season because literally episode 5 is always either a Jasper episode or my favorite episode Quartermoon Convergence. I can't believe my favorite character is now bald forever and my second favorite character hasn't been mentioned since season 3. On the plus side I have a whole separate document from my main script one just for Camp Camp animatic scripts because I've written so many of them. I don't know what I have more of, UTMV scripts or Camp Camp ones.

For years, crossovers have for some reason been my brain's main focus. Probably because the first ever fanfic I read was Morphing is Magic, and that shit was fire. So here's a few of the odd ones that have found their way into my thoughts:

•Yet another variation of an Animorphs and IBVS crossover.

•"The Othermind from WoF can affect people who ingest the Breath of Evil, and Nightmare's goo can break down and absorb anything, so could he be affected by the Othermind if he was stabbed one of the vines? Would it not count because he doesn't have a bloodstream?"

•IBVS constantly haunts my brain so that last one turned into the IBVS characters being dropped into the WoF world (as humans, mind you) but Drew and Nevin are in Pantala while the rest end up in Pyhrria.

•Similarly (while I was reading the new Warriors arc), the IBVS being dropped into the lake territory (this time catified) and all into different clans.

•Speaking of catification, I found this shit (below) in my ibis paint drafts, and immediately screenshotted it to send to Echos.

I don't remember how or why I drew Drew's hair like that. I don't know why Dez would be trying to catboyify Drew, or why using the wrong materials would get him possessed by Ende from Feral. But by god, the thing that caught me off-guard most is the words "Is this what I get for saving your life? Catboyfication?" and I don't think I could write something funnier if I tried. Of course my brain immediately began to run with this, resulting in this blurb of text later being sent to Echos:

Me: it's four in the fucking morning, *stop* thinking of dumbass crossovers, they don't even make any fucking sense / My brain: monika said she had some of rachel's memories when possessing her. What if, when ende possesses drew, she's led back to his home and immediately feels like this place is a sanctuary - a safe place after being in danger for so long - something that drew has managed to find but ende still longs for. When she walks inside and sees nevin, she gets really emotional and can't stop herself from hugging him, then has to come up with the excuse that she (still pretending to be drew) didn't realized how much she missed him, then makes a fake promise to explain what happened in the morning. When she's by herself in drew's room she silently swears to drew - despite the fact she can feel he's falling into some kind of 'sleep', one that she can only recognize because she herself has been in an absent 'sleep' like that for so long - that she'll do everything she can to make sure they can both be free in this place. And when she goes to bed, she experiences drew's memory dream, and ende can relate to the feeling of having an important memory be kept from her. / And then the arms around her feel like they're turning into wings, and when she opens her eyes (though still dreaming) she sees luka. And ende demands to know why, if she's supposed to forget everything, can't they let her move on? A blizzard rages on in the background. She tries to pull away from luka's arms, but they still feel like wings encasing her - trying to keep a member of the flock safe, but only trapping her there - or like those of the watcher's. Again, she demands why they can't just let her go. Luka keeps their signature empty smile, but their eyes are not their own, boring down into ende like those of an all-too familiar statue. And then she wakes up, and she makes a second promise to the boy who can't even hear her: she's going to help him remember. / Me: stfu its sleep time. honk shoo. honk mimimimi. go to fucking bed.

Echos' reply was: "Ooo".

•Hermes from Empires SMP using the Staff of Sanctuary for Multiverse Shenanigans™

•Multiple concepts of villains from different media being thrown into Gotham City, and how they'd fare against Batman. I blame Echos and the other one for being obsessed with the Batfam and talking about DC constantly.

•Doodles of Empires!Smajor, Celestia from MLP, Dream from Dreamtale, and Sun from FNaF interacting in "my sibling got corrupted by an outside force and turned evil" club™. At some point I threw DogDay in there just for the hell of it even though he doesn't fit the criteria whatsoever. One of the doodles is just Scott, confused, with a thought bubble containing a cartoony sun symbol. (Wait, does Jake from Animorphs count? Can't believe I missed that.)

•Some other IBVS ones idk it's just constantly in my head

Also been reconnecting with some irl friends I hadn't spoken to since the Women List Dude incident. First time hanging out at a friend's house for as long as I can remember, and you best believe one of my rambles led from Spiderverse to Undertale AUs to Kirby Takes Manhattan to the origins of the ship Fingers In His Ass Sunday. Also got to learn a bit more about Women List Dude, whom none of them even knew I had experience with, and vice versa. To quote one of my friends, "Every time I talk to someone new about him, the story grows." Apparently he was fucking infamous in our school, and not even just in our grade. Istg he's practically an urban legend. "Oh, [Woman List Dude]? Yeah, I've got some stories about him..." *crackling of a campfire, the smell of smores.* Except there's concrete evidence and multiple witnesses to every account. It's honestly hilarious.

Uhh I think that's basically about it for this update. It's now 4am and I just finished rereading everything, so I'm gonna hit post and then not check tumblr again for like another month.

Now I'm going to talk about my otaku tastes.

I can't say that I've watched that many animes. However, I've watched One Piece, Naruto (Classic and Shippuden), Death Note, Sailor Moon, Futari wa Pretty Cure, Citrus, InuYasha, Tokyo Revengers and Demon Slayer. I didn't finish all of these, but I got to watch a little (or a lot).

I confess that I have a special affection for One Piece, Naruto and Death Note. They are definitely works that saved my life.

DORAMAS

I love doramas! I will contextualize dramas here, like every kind of Asian series/show.

So I'll start with my all-time favorite dorama, Hana Yori Dango, and some of its international versions, which are Boys Over Flowers and Meteor Garden. Also, I also love Alice in Borderland, Girl from Nowhere, All Of Us Are Dead, 1 Litre of Tears (this was the saddest drama I've ever watched in my life, I cried SO MUCH when I saw it...), 14-sai no Haha, and King the Land.

I also like the Thai lesbian movies called Yes or No and Yes or No 2.

I've also watched some series, like Gossip Girl, Pretty Little Liars, The Vampire Diaries, The Walking Dead, Riverdale, Stranger Things, Orange Is The New Black, Euphoria, Game of Thrones (although I haven't finished most of them because I have ADHD) , and many others...

It's been almost 2 years since the beginning of this apocalypse.

The smp had fallen into chaos after the gods left. The sky went red, the mobs mutated, our oceans boiled and the clouds are filled with acid.

I don't know who survived but all I know is that the last few months have been rough on me. I had been fighting off charged creepers near the crater of L'manburg about 3 months back. One of them exploded and knocked me into the large hole. I tumbled down while the rocks and vines pulled at my skin. And I screamed as I felt a sharp pain shoot through my leg.

I landed with a loud thud and I looked down to see my bone sticking out of my calf. Thank god it was my only injury but I had no shelter and I was bleeding heavely. And my wounds would surely get infected if I stayed in that crater any longer.

I screamed for help for what seemed like hours. Until I heard a voice from behind me, the familiar thick british accent of Tommy. He looked at me like I was the first person he saw alive in years, and it had turned out that he'd been living down there since the beginning of all this shit. And after he pull me into his shelter he helped me make a splint to help with my broken bone.

He had lost his netherite armor and now walks around in an unenchanted iron armor. The only diamond thing on him was his sword and axe.

But that was months ago and just last week I healed up to the point of me being able to help him around the base. And sometimes maybe even raid some buildings near the crater.

Today were going to try and find one of the Smp's old communicators. See if there's anyone out there and hopefully meet up with them if there are survivors.

"Are you almost done writing in you're diary?!" Tommys voice cuts through the silence.

"for the last time, it's a journal." You roll your eyes as you put the book away and pull yourself up to stand. "Whatever you say" he holds up his hands defensively before turning around to pick up his sword. He puts it back in his sheath and leans down to pick up his shield that had somehow fallen. "So, where are we going?"

You ask before walking past the child and out to the front. "I was hoping to go to Erets castle, it would most definitely have a communicator in his office. If anyone hadn't already taken it of course!" Tommy plots as you pick up your Iron axe from the ground and put it on your belt.

You both walk towards a wall from the crater and begin to climb up the vines. "Why haven't you built a latter yet Tommy!" You playfully shout as you guys make your way up. "Do you see any wood in that crater?!" He shouts back as you shrug and continue to climb.

"Don't grab that root!" He shouts up at you. "Why not?" You look down and smile. "Unless you wanna have another broken bone I suggest you grab that one!" He points at the next vine over as he takes the lead and passes you. "Thanks Tom!" You say as he reaches the top.

He pulls you up and once you get to the top you begin to see the former glorious smp you called home.

Through a hoard of mutated skeletons.

"OH SHIT!" Tommy shouts as he pulls his sword from his sheath and runs past the skeletons as fast as possible. You look around before running in a different direction from Tommy. You feel an arrow pierce your shoulder before you find cover behind a large rock.

"shit shit shit" you mumble as you pull the arrow from your arm, you drop it onto the floor before taking your axe from your belt.

And before you ask why you couldn't just kill them in one simple blow. It's because Mutated skeletons have now gained the skill of perfect accuracy. And now have the power to put themselves back together after being ripped apart. And that doesn't even begin to explain the fact that they have learned to poisen their arrows.

You feel a lightheaded sensation flow through you before you take off to try and get to the castle. You just barely make it as you go to shut the door closed and suddenly hear. "Y/n! Wait!" Tommy shouts from in the distance. He has the hoard of skeletons following him and you just barely hold the door open long enough for him to slid in.

"holy shit," he pants "that was terrifying!" He shouts as he takes a knee and digs through his bag to pull out his flask of water. You begin to barricade the door as Tommy pulls himself together.

"ok, uh" he coughs before he continues, "you used to hang out with Eret a lot, take us to his office" he looks up at you with your hand out stretched for him to grab onto. He takes your hand with a smile and pulls himself off the ground. "Thanks" he smiles a bit before you begin walking through the abandoned halls.

The floors are covered in dirt, blood and guts. With a stench that makes you never want to smell anything again. The walls are covered with destroyed paintings and pride flags. Your frightened to know if the blood is from some sort of monster of if it's from one of your former friends.

"this place smells awful" Tommy mumbles before he looks at you and shouts "are you ok?!?" At the sight of your shoulder wound.

"I'm fine for now, just find me a healing potion after this" you put on a forced smile before you open the door of queen Erets office. "Tada!" You smile as he bolts in and begins rummaging through drawers and papers. "They wouldn't put that on his desk dumbass!" You mumble as his head bolts up to look at you "pardon!? I think I know what I'm doing! Since I'm not the one with a shoulder wound, and also I'm much more-". His rambles are cut short as you pull a portrait of the King down from the wall to reveal a safe behind it.

"you were saying?" You smirk as he flips out and jumps over the desk to get to you. "Open it! open it! open it!" He shouts loudly as you walk back over and start opening the safe. "Never question me again" you state as you put in the last number and open it to find Erets crown inside, along with some swiftness and healing potions, and 5 gapples. But behind it all you find 2 old communicators, "I DID IT!" Tommy shouts as He raises his hand in the air as if he was asking for a high five.

"I'm only high-fiving you if you give me some credit" you smirk as you pocket the items and pop open one of the healing potion for the wound. "Fine, you did good Y/n" he says sarcastically, "damn right" you smile before drinking the potion and lifting your hand up to give Tommy a high five. He smiles as you both get up and move back towards the desk.

You click on the communicator to hear static, you begin going through the VC'S to try and find someone you knew. "Hello? This is Y/n L/n I'm at Erets castle and I need to know if anyone's out there". You say as clearly as you can as you continue flipping through the channels. "Hello? This is Y/n L/n I'm at Erets castle and I need to know if any-" you go to speak again but suddenly hear.

"Holy shit, your alive?!" Another British accent goes through the communicator. "WILBUR!" Tommy pierces your eardrums as he screams through the communicator. "Wow I didn't miss that" you hear Wilbur mumble before continuing with "I thought I was the only one left, I've been in Pogtopia for a couple days now. I tried to leave but it seems like a creeper exploded the entrance and caused it to cave in." Wilbur explained and he rambles on about the fact that Pogtopia had become practically a home base for every creeper in existence. He was joking of course but you still took it seriously due to the craziness of the outside world.

"Wilbur, I'm so glad to hear your voice but do you have any plan on how to get out of Pogtopia?" You ask sincerely, "well yes, but that would require a lot of TNT and I'm afraid I don't have enough sand" you can hear his grin at the mention of TNT.

"ok, were gonna go and try to get to you. Just give us a days time." You say as he hums in response before you hear the noise of him turning off is communicator. "Welp, at least were not alone anymore." You smile as you turn and tackle hug Tommy. "Someones alive! There's still hope!" You yell as you tightly hold each other in your arms. "We gotta gather supplies! We gotta get him outta there!" You pull apart and begin to plan his escape.

(1 hour of planning later)

You and Tommy have both mapped out your route to Pogtopia from the castle. From experience we tell each other which way would have the least amount of mobs. And the fact that you need to be extra careful and be quiet about halfway through the mile walk due to a hoard of mutated zombies being close by.

You exit the castle with everything you could collect from inside and begin walking to Pogtopia. Tommy starts a few light chats and you make a couple dirty jokes that make you both laugh. The walk takes about an hour and makes your legs feel like Jello by the end of it but it's all worth it when Pogtopia gets in your sight. The entire entrance is covered with tons and tons of rubble and dirt. But that's not the thing the worries you. The thing that worries you is the 5 charged mutated creepers sitting right outside the cave.

"fuck!" Tommy mumbles as you both huddle behind a tree and think out the next step of your plan. "We can always try to lure them away?" You whisper to Tommy "no! because we need one of those bastards to explode near the entrance to get Wilbur out!" Tommy whispers back as you turn back and see the creepers are beginning to spread out.

"ok, then we fight! They'll explode and we'll get him out of the cave that way!" You say to Tommy before turning back to see him mumbling to himself. "Now that there mutated they explode once killed correct?" He asks as you nod your head. "I have an idea" he mumbles as he looks through his bag and pulls out an enderchest. He place's it down and pulls out a Bow and Arrow

"You only decide to use that now!?!" You whisper yell as he looks at you and says. "I only have 1 arrow" in response. "Then let me shoot it, I'm an expert shot. I was practically an assassin for Eret!" You say as he thinks it though and looks at the bow then to you.

"alright, but you better not miss!" He raises a finger at you and looks at you with a stern gaze. "You need to shoot them in the eye, it's the only way they'll die in one blow-" he goes to say but he sees you ignore him as you turn around point the bow. landing a killing shot on the Creeper Closest to the entrance. The one explosion causes a chain reaction to explode every other creeper nearby. Your ears ring as the ground shakes and rubble is flown through the air.

You open your eyes to see the doorway now open to Pogtopia. "Don't tell me how to do my job" you mumble before handing him his bow and walk towards the entrance. "Wilbur! Get out before the whole cave comes down!" You shout into the cave as you hear the noise of Wilbur's shoes running towards the entrance.

His outfit has changed since the last time you saw him. His jacket is ripped and has blood splattered on it, he's gained more scars and he has his guitar at his back, his sweater has multiple patches horribly holding it together, a sword by his side. And the white streak in his hair is almost gone due to the amount of dirt on him.

"so you finally decided to get a sword!" Tommy jokes as Wilbur's eyes adjust to the new light of the outside world. "Well I didn't wanna die ya little shit" Wilbur smiles and hugs his brother as tightly as he can before pulling away and doing the same to you. "So, were have you guys been staying?" He asks with a grin.
