yehah uehem it's been awhile half of my following and followers are dead 😔 so I'm just gonna follow back any active followers from HikoShrine era idk, POSTING SOON HOPEFULLY I CAN FINALLY FINISH IT TODAY 🙏
I am so done with bot sex accounts following me and not people with lovely blogs. I want to interact with people. I want to have people who want to interact with me. And all i get is some fake account following me. It sucks.
I despise with seething rage that Tumblr censors posts if you swear or say something mildly inappropriate in the tags
If I say "Frick, fuck, God damnit, sugar daddy, ffs" or anything that could be deemed offensive, my posts go to the void. I would shift to a different app but I really like the way interactions play out over Tumblr and any other platform just doesn't feel at all similar or as personal as it feels over Tumblr. It's just really frustrating.
Before you keep scrolling I need you to do somethin' right quick.
Stand up or find a comfortable position and stretch for 30 seconds. You can roll your neck, rub your shoulder, point and flex those little tootsies, fix yer posture. Whatever feels good and natural to ya, partner.
the post: everything has a right to exist in fiction, even if it's fucked up
the comments: i was going to reblog this until i realized op likes fucked up stuff in fiction. this is a common dogwhistle phrase for people who like fucked up stuff in fiction. they have to talk in code to trick people into agreeing with them. stay safe out there!
i was obsessed the first time i saw someone post leon on that stupid panda rocker but i was never able to find raw footage of it lol, so i decided to compile leon with all the playground interactions because i love him <3
Zepotha will never be Goncharov because when it comes down to it, tumblr culture is collaborative, while tiktok culture is merely iterative, and those are not the same thing.
unrelated to jamba juice but this is the only sideblog I have left
someone, seemingly very new tumblr user who typically doesn’t get hardly any notes ever (like at the level of this blog), found my main blog and started following it. I am now mutuals with this blog.
I then interacted with this blog on several of my sideblogs, excluding this one, and they decided they liked the sideblogs well enough to follow them.
so now my mutual very likely thinks. they have caught the attention of several different blogs. when in fact it's just me. it's just me only me I'm so sorry for getting your hopes up no one else is noticing you </3
To illustrate this post by @mayahawkse I would like to visualize to you the difference:
A post in 2023:
A post in 2014:
A zoom out of the same post:
This is what a community looks like.
See how in 2023 almost all of the reblogs come from the OP, from their few hours/days in the tag search. Meanwhile in 2014 the % of reblogs from OP is insignificant, because most of the reblogs come from the reblogs within the fandom, within the micro-communities formed there. You didn't need to rely on tags, or search, or being featured. Because the community took care of you, made sure to pass the work between themselves and onto their blog and exposed their followers to it. It kept works alive for years.
It's not JUST the reblog/like ratio that causing this issue, it's the type of interaction people have. They're content with scrolling and liking the search engine, instead of actually having a reblogging relationship with other blogs in their community.
Anyways, if you want to see more content you like, the only true way to make it happen is to reblog it. Likes do not forward content in no way but making OP feel nice. Reblogs on the other hand make content eternal. They make it relevant, they make it exist outside of a fickle tumblr search that hardly works on the best of days.
