GEORG VILHELM PAULI (2 July 1855 - 28 November 1935) was a Swedish painter, known primarily for portraits and figures. He was also the author of numerous art-related books.

Around 1890, he moved towards a symbolist and synthetist style. Having encountered cubism in Paris in 1911, he apprenticed himself to André Lhote and moved towards a cubist style which he abandoned in the 1920s. He had a lifelong interest in classical motifs, mythology and symbolism which was often reflected in his paintings.

He died in Tullinge, Stockholm County, and is represented by several paintings and many drawings in Nationalmuseum, Stockholm.

🍔 Updated review ━ 📍 La Serra ★★☆☆☆ • The pizzeria La Serra out in the Stockholm suburb of Tullinge started serving smashed chuck burgers a few years ago, and we were very pleasantly surprised when we reviewed them back in 2020. But after receiving several reader comments about their quality dropping we had to pay them another visit. Their menu and pricing was identical to the last time we were there, and this time we ordered a double Cheese Burger with cheddar, tomato, lettuce, pickled red onions, pickles and a sriracha mayo for 125 SEK (12 USD). plus french fries for 25 SEK (2.5 USD). • When our burger arrived we were met with a pretty sad creation. The crust that impressed us so much last time was nonexistent, and the meat was soft, soggy and under-seasoned. Their pretty boring bun was even more boring this time around, and instead of being soft and squishy it reminded us more of a stale breakfast roll. It had been toasted on the inside, but couldn't handle the ingredients and the bottom bun had all but disintegrated towards the end of our meal. Most of the flavours came from their sriracha mayo, and even though it tasted nice it shouldn't have played such a central role. Their french fries were worse than during our last visit; overcooked and oily. • La Serra's hamburger felt like a pale copy of what we ate a few years ago, and there was no attention to details this time around. 🍔 Review № 526 ━ 📍 Burda ★☆☆☆☆ • In Tullinge Centrum, just outside of central Stockholm, lies the newly opened restaurant Burda. They first opened at the end of 2021, and serve a large variety of dishes, including five burgers; three with beef and two vegetarian. We rarely review grill kiosks here at Burgerdudes, but there are a few menu terms that pique our interest. And not only did Burda showcase their fresh chuck patties, they even had a mustard-fried hamburger. That’s not something we see very often, so we ordered a double Burdas Burger with french fries for 149 SEK (15 USD) (the same menu with a single-patty burger costs 129 SEK (13 USD)). Our meal was supposed to have double 100-gram mustard-fried chuck patties, cheddar, bacon, pickled red onion, barbecue sauce and burger sauce. • Unfortunately we were served a really sad looking burger with thin, compact and pre-formed patties. They were hardly even seasoned, and we didn’t notice any mustard either. The bland patties didn’t stand a chance against the many sweet flavour from their sugary pickles, BBQ sauce and burger sauce. The pickled red onions had been replaced with thickly cut, raw red onion, which stood for most of the texture, together with some tomato and lettuce that had made their way into our hamburger unannounced. We actually think that they served us a Cheeseburger by mistake – one of many. And the pièce de résistance was that they’d run through the untoasted brioche bun with a wooden grill skewer. The french fries were of the regular grill kiosk variety, but were actually the best thing with our meal. • Burda’s hamburger was an expensive and really bad experience, and it was clear that they only had a theoretical knowledge of what a craft burger should contain, without knowing how actually make it.
