I think this idea would be amazing for a fanfiction. Change things slighty here and there but hint that the apocalypse is still going to happen. But the reader doesn't know who, because no one is evil or suspicious or anything of the sort. But as the plot goes on, everyone slowly gets more powerful.

Then, the apocalypse. And everything is going to shit. Nobody meant to do what they did. It all just happened.

They travel back in time, they are all together this time. And they all break down. They all destroyed the world that they had tried to save the last few days. They were the catalyst and they are much stronger than any of them would have thought

A bend in space-time S2 || a TUA fanfiction

What if, through the whole story of The Umbrella Academy, Klaus had had someone to have his back? I chose to insert an OC - Rin - into the plot of the series, appearing almost only in deleted scenes. This fic is not a self-insert nor a OC-centric fic : Rin exists to flesh out the canon characters, and the fic is mostly focusing on Klaus. Whoo-hee, I have an Ask! (To be fair, I've HAD an Ask for several days, but this is the first I've gotten on my computer proper to answer it).

So let's see.

I'm going to give this one to @non-plutonian-druid, who not only posts delightful fan art, they also post delightful fan art in even more delightful crossovers, which is just very fun.

16. a tiny detail in canon that you want more people to appreciate:

Ah. Hmm. Which canon even? Oh you know what, I'm going to be obnoxious and say, if you pay attention in TUA you'll NOTICE that Five totally reacts differently to Viktor than to everyone else. He smiles more. He's less insulting. There's this scene in S3 where he goes "I hate to say I told you so" and Viktor shoots back "You LOVE to say I told you so," and Five just smiles and nods! You CANNOT tell me he wouldn't have a snappy comeback if ANYONE ELSE had dared! So I know I can't convince anyone to ship them but you DO SEE they have a DIFFERENT relationship from the others, right? :P

24. how has fandom positively impacted your life?

Well. I have been writing stories since I learned how to write, and making them up for longer, but after my first child was born it was like everything shut off. I was so tired! I had no more free time! How could I take time out of my busy day to write when I could be using that time to, Idaknow, sleep? Before I could get into the habit again I started doing collection development for the library, and it was like, do you have any idea how many books are published in a year? And it's really important for more diverse voices to be uplifted. So like why do I, a white (basically-)straight mainstream-Christian (relatively-)able-bodied (not neurotypical, but come on, Anne of Green Gables was published in 1908 and she's the most perfect female-with-ADHD character ever, so it's not like THAT one's lacking) ciswoman even need to write a book? Who cares? Yes, I am aware this is a lie ones brain tells to be obnoxious, but it still made it impossible for me to actually carve out time to write when who cares?

The first step in me getting past this was the writing prompt that became "The Pipeweed Mafia Epic," which was, technically, fanfiction. It gave me permission to just HAVE FUN with writing, without thought to whether the story is Needed or if anyone's going to read it at all. Some of the only other stories I managed to get out for the next few years were ALSO fanfics. But it was infrequent, and I didn't share them. AND THEN, here on Tumblr, I saw a post for a Legion FX fic exchange and I said, "You know, I think I can do that. I should take the chance!" So I did, and ended up writing not just my assignment but also a little fic that popped into my head just in the process of me deciding what I wanted to ask for! And now I had an AO3 account, which meant I suddenly had an outlet when I saw a movie that desperately required some rethinking! And suddenly I was waking up to emails that said "You've Got Kudos!" and THAT'S a hit of dopamine, so it suddenly became so much easier to just get an idea for a silly little story I could stick on AO3 and maybe get a "You've Got Kudos!" message the next day!

So long story short, fandom helped me get WRITING again. I'm still not sure when I'll ever get back to ORIGINAL fiction, but at least the storytelling itch in my brain has an outlet!

a tiny little whump idea

five is prone to traumatic and violent ptsd flashbacks. usually, though, he finds them manageable. mostly. this time is not one of them. this time, he has a flashback so bad he can’t just snap back, and it happens outside, out in the public, of all times and places. a concerned citizen calls for emt’s, and since five cannot tell them his name - cannot tell them anything, can’t even jump away, nothing - they cart him off to the local hospital and then, deeming his state critical, get him involuntarily admitted to a psychiatric care facility for juveniles. 

the rest of the hargreeves’s, though, have no idea what’s happening. it takes them a whole week to find where five had disappeared off to,  and when they do arrive to get him out, they find him medicated to hell and back and barely coherent - because when five did eventually somewhat came to, he kept getting "aggressive" and "combative" and "uncooperative" with the staff, refusing to even say his real name, and allison has to rumor the doctors to take him home.

(in the aftermath, they resolve to take better care of him and work out a ptsd and stress managing plan for five. surprisingly, it works.)

Cobra Kai (Netflix) - Hawk/Demetri - Cleft Awareness Month Prompt 10 : Lack of Representation

Prompt : Write a fic (can be fluff, hurt/comfort, whatever the author sees fit) where a character has a cleft lip (palate is optional) and is down because there isn't a whole lot of positive representation for it. Bonus points if they see someone who looks like them in a show and/or movie for the first time Headcanon : Demetri has ADHD

"Eli, guess what!?" Demetri said excitedly. Hawk chuckled in amusement at his boyfriend's excitement.

"What?"

"The new season of Umbrella Academy is out!" he said, practically jumping with joy. "Season three is out. We have to watch it" he insisted. They'd watched the previous two seasons together, so it only made sense they would watch this one as well. Hawk nodded in agreement.

"I will get some snacks and you can come by after school to binge-watch it" Hawk decided. Demetri's smile grew even more wide as he kissed the other boy and ran off to class.

That afternoon, Demetri went to Hawk's place and the two settled in on Hawk's bed with chips and sodas and began watching with ready eyes, curious to see how the show would pick up.

It was here that they were properly introduced to The Sparrow Academy, which was exciting because that was a set of characters who had been introduced at the end of the previous season as part of a massive cliffhanger.

As the camera showed more and more close-ups of the new characters, Hawk suddenly lunged forward and paused the show, much to Demetri's confusion. On the screen was the character of Alphonso Hargreeves, or "Number Four" in the Sparrows. This character was notable for his large amount of scarring and disfigurement, most of which seemed to be a result of his power- Whenever someone attacked him, the pain was reflected back onto them.

"Why'd you pause?" Demetri asked, more confused with anything. Hawk pointed at Alphonso.

"He has a cleft lip"

"Holy shit!" Hawk echoed excitedly, his hands flapping a little bit. He'd never seen a character with a cleft before. "Holy shit, holy shit, holy shit"

"That's really cool" Demetri matched his excitement. Sure, it didn't hit him as personally as it would for Hawk, but he'd never seen Hawk this excited over a character on TV before. "I'm happy for you, man. This is cool"

The two continued to watch the show even more excitedly than they had before.

Fandom: The Umbrella Academy Pairing: Diego x TC Agent!Reader Word Count: 703 Rating: G Prompt: “What do you mean she’s my new partner?  She tried to kill me last week!” + “Sounds like a you problem.” + “I’m bulletproof… but please don’t shoot me.” a/n: I’ve had an idea for a while now for writing some Diego with a reader who formerly worked for the Commission, but deflects to help Five stop the apocalypse and these prompts were the perfect excuse to put that into motion!

“What do you mean she’s my new partner?” Diego demanded, rounding on Five, who merely leaned back against the bar, sipping at his bright green margarita.  “She tried to kill me only a couple days ago!” he continued incredulously.

Tapping your foot, you looked between the two completely disparate brothers, somewhat surprised Five was actually going along with this so nonchalantly.

“That sounds like a you problem,” Five pointed out wryly, jumping down from the bar stool as Diego watched him with bewilderment, his mouth hanging open.

To be fair, the whole situation was rather mind boggling to you as well.  Admittedly, it was true, mere days ago you’d been on opposite sides, trying to stop the Hargreeves, especially Five, in their endeavour at thwarting the apocalypse.  But now, well, let’s just say you’d had a change of heart.  

It had been building for a while now, your displeasure with the Temps Commission.  They’d recruited you, much like Five, on a five year contract, but once that time was up they offered something even better if you renewed and before you knew it they had their claws in you tighter than ever and there was no way of getting out, short of deflecting and that meant certain death.

So when Five had confronted you, confidently offering you terms while staring unperturbed down the barrel of your gun, he already knew you were sold.  Because while the face of it was saving the world, what he was really offering you… was a way out, with a chance to actually take down the Commission and survive. 

How could you not take that?

So now, here you were, partnered up with Number Two, Diego, and you could practically feel the hostility radiating off him in waves as you set out in search of your former co-workers, Hazel and Cha-Cha.

“I don’t know why Five saddled you with me,” he grumbled, getting out of his car, “especially since he was so keen on wanting your help.”

“Probably because I have intimate knowledge of the enemy and how the Commission functions, knowledge that could be useful to you,” you pointed out, meeting Diego’s glare atop the roof of his car, not backing down.

“Yeah, well, I don’t trust you,” he hissed, pointing one of his daggers at you warningly.

“Really?  I had no idea,” you countered sarcastically. 

Diego merely narrowed his eyes at you, unamused before taking off for the staircase leading to the second floor of the motel, where you’d spotted Hazel leaving earlier.  Hurrying to catch up to Diego’s long strides, you followed him up the stairs, your hand hovering over the pistol at your hip, ready to draw at a moment’s notice.

Eyeing you as he paused at the top of the staircase, Diego pulled another dagger from his bandalere.  “I may be bulletproof,” he muttered, gesturing to the heavy dark vest he wore, “but please don’t shoot me.”

A wry grin tugged at your lips as you looked at him.  “No promises.”

His dark eyes instantly narrowed and you held up your hands.

“It was just a joke, Diego,” you assured him, still fighting back your grin.

“Oh yeah, very funny,” he ground out, turning his attention back on the door and you readied yourself, slipping your gun from its holster, all traces of amusement melting from your expression.

As Diego kicked open the motel room door, you moved to cover him, but you found the room empty.  “Shit, get down!” you exclaimed, hearing the screech of tires before he did, moments before a hail of bullets rained down on you.

Without hesitation you yanked him out of the way, pressing your back against the brick wall behind you.  As Hazel and Cha-Cha’s car sped away Diego gaped at you.

“You saved me…” he said, a disbelieving note of awe in his voice.

“Well yeah,” you replied as if it were obvious, helping him back to his feet, “we’re partners, aren’t we?  I’ve got your back.”

As you took the stairs back down to Diego’s car you didn’t notice, but he watched you curiously.  Maybe he was wrong about you, after all, but only time would tell if he could trust you or not.
