I recently got my wisdom teeth out and then remembered I have Tumblr and a crippling addiction to TUA so ofc I'm posting about it.

So we all know that Five, if those stupid shitty fucking asshole teeth bothered him during the apocalypse, he wouldn't be able to get them out (maybe he could blink them out but I'm nothere to talk abt that).

Now, he's reliving his teen years, he could finally go to the dentist! Yay! But knowing his siblings, one of them (probably more) would volunteer to take him there and back, mostly so they can see him all drugged.

And just. Think about that. Five got drunk and told them they were a family united by love and destiny (or something like that, I haven't watched s3 in a while).

Imagine him hooked up on whatever they give you in america.

A drugged, silly, no-filter Five.

Or, a High Five.

I rest my case.

The Umbrella Academy AU idea:

They ALL cause the apocalypse

Luther causes an earthquake that shatters the entire world

Diego can bend anything. Including skyscrapers, mountains, water, fire, etc.

Allison only has to say a single sentence and reality alters completely

Klaus can make anything dead with a single thought

Five destroys the timeline, creates a paradox and a kugelblitz

Ben's powers become Leviathan

Viktor destroys the moon

I think this idea would be amazing for a fanfiction. Change things slighty here and there but hint that the apocalypse is still going to happen. But the reader doesn't know who, because no one is evil or suspicious or anything of the sort. But as the plot goes on, everyone slowly gets more powerful.

Then, the apocalypse. And everything is going to shit. Nobody meant to do what they did. It all just happened.

They travel back in time, they are all together this time. And they all break down. They all destroyed the world that they had tried to save the last few days. They were the catalyst and they are much stronger than any of them would have thought

I love AU's in which technology actually DOES exist in the TUA universe

It would be very funny if they all had a YouTube channel together. Most would click in for Allison or because they were fans as kids but quickly, the fans' perception of them drifts away from the kids they grew up with.

They are just all so relatable to different kinds of people and it really shows how they're a family through and through because of the easy banter between them. They just also happen to have superpowers.

It would spawn so many fun memes, like they already exist in our universe (think the "driving past and looking at each other confused" meme or "how many more rock bottoms do you have to it?")

For example, Viktor and Klaus are making a video together and Viktor goes in, saying "Today I'm here with my family member, Klaus". To which Klaus responds with "Family member? You make it sound like I live at the other side of the world and we only see each other every third Christmas and didn't literally grew up together."

And Viktor says that he didn't know what else to say because Klaus is very fluid in gender representation and doesn't really care about labels, so he was unsure what to say and that was what his brain decided to go with.

So in another video, Klaus wanted to call Viktor 'family member' as a 'remember when you called me, your sibling, simply family member?'. But he slips up and accidentally says 'family Viktor' instead.

"Family 'Viktor'?" "I wanted to say family member!" "What's a 'family Viktor'?" "Why, you of course, you're our family Viktor."

My Alternative Ending For Fivela

spoilers for severance and all seasons of tua under the cut

I guess technically they’re all Helenas if Reginald is Kier huh.

I started drawing before 2x07 dropped and ruined my life but honestly it still works

So they grew up in one of those hargreeves-controlled schools under the slightly culty environment doing missions and training to become the next generations (perhaps competing to be the heir to the “revolving whatever that is)

Five was the most promising but gets lost at an ORTBO and gets taken in by the Commission, perhaps a resistance or rival company that is just as shady (think Reghabi)? Unsure of whether to combine Reginald/Lumon and the Commission or not. For some reason he is still a child, and everyone reacts to him like they do to Miss Huang.

After that, their team isn’t doing so hot. One day Ben “dies” and it fractures their little family for good.

Later in the world, they’re struggling and eventually return to their dad’s company that they once ran away from in various different ways, and each get severed and go through the horrors.

Number 1 (Luther) - I think Milchick’s devotion to Reginald, Mark’s optimism and initial obedience, Irving’s initial love of Lumon texts, and Sloane in another department being his tragic office wife could be juicy… The one who never left the ideals of Reginald without being fully aware of what they were doing, and slowly have his worldviews change and his adoration for Reginald fall apart (but not before doing some rough things under the impression that he is RIGHT). I know the . romance. With Allison is a thing in the show but. for this alternative universe they will simply be close coworkers who support and inspire each other to rebel OKAY? okay. I think having Sloane taken away from him and finding out Ben’s still alive will more than do it to cause him to get on the side of the innies. I think on the outside he’s super isolated and so crushingly lonely without his siblings ): maybe he gets into illegal underground boxing and gets severe brain damage that necessitates severance? also as an innie he never gets to see space but he’s a super nerd about stars. this is a fact Ben tells him about his outie :)

Number 2 (Diego) - Placing him a little later in the timeline, his outie could be a family man who severed to provide for them? Or a former disgraced detective trying to investigate Reginald and expose his shady stuff after his partner Eudora dies under mysterious circumstances all vigilante style? And also blames Reginald for Ben? Laser focused on revenge and super mean but eventually starts to reach out to his siblings as an outie/innie and realizes how much he misses and cares for them. Then he falls in love with Lila along the way, perhaps two times, innie and outie, while she’s unsevered… could be fun. I could see shades of Dylan, Helly, and Mark in him—a rebellious spirit, deeply loving and determined. Or maybe he has kids with Lila later and they marry which. Makes things complicated. So he also has to navigate fatherhood in this wacky world. AHHHHHHH this isn’t even mentioning his relationship with GRACE. oh god Grace. Nightmare Robot manager… or SEVERED REGINALD EX WIFE??

Number 3 (Allison) - I could see her being a star refiner like Dylan before everything changes when she finds out about Claire. On the outside, she’s a popular actor getting severed as a publicity stunt (think Helena), for the money, and also to escape the difficulties of her divorce and custody battle like Petey. I didn’t get to draw it but on the inside I imagine she uses a wig but in the outside she has her natural hair. OR she pulls an Irving and innie Allison and innie Ray are in love before outie Ray is retired and during the OTC innie Allison leads outie Allison to meet outie Ray. Perhaps she remarries with him, and he gets to visit, except he’s loyal and doesn’t cheat like Gretchen does (no shade she’s so sympathetic I just think Ray wouldn’t do that) so innie Allison’s kinda battling with herself since she loves innie Ray and was the reason outie Allison can be Allison Chestnut but she doesn’t get that…hmm..I think she’d be very much on the side of the innies at first, fiercely criticizing the inhumane conditions and making big swings, but the company leverages Claire and Ray and she ends up swaying to them because because being the voice of the Board paralleling with her Rumor ability and in a equally as devastating arc to s3 would be COOL!!!

Number 4 (Klaus) - Literally homeless, struggling with addiction, and also a gay veteran. (like Irving!!) Turns to Reginald because they will pay him if only he severs his brain. His innie version is more happy to lucky but also is suffering the symptoms of withdrawal and/or drug use. Dave is definitely involved, I just don’t know how. He could have died in way, but Reginald Corp took his body, he could be a employee Klaus worked with and fell in love with before disappearing one day and showing up to Klaus’s doorstep with reintegration sickness but also a love and care no one has afforded to him before. Either way he has a lot of feelings about it, and goes through it and acts out, thus leading to a lot of wellness sessions with Ben. I think Klaus gets reintegrated, thus leading him to “see the dead” and have the “clairvoyance” of understanding info from innie and outie… and also has a lot of health close calls because basement brain surgery. Maybe Five does it idk.

Number 5 (Five) - miss Huang core. Knows some of the truth about Lumon, sent in as an undercover intern to stop the mysterious Cold Horror file by any means possible and steal it for the Commission for his last job. However the Commission (The Handler + crew) doesn’t have a moral compass and will do anything to get their way (and cause the apocalypse to happen). So they did a bunch of experiments on him like the comics so he’s good at killing and psychological games. And his coworkers are his siblings who he’s been fighting to get back to all these years. I could see him galvanizing the others to try and escape and having a really bad time in the break room with the Handler. Or maybe actually cutting his hand/arm off to make a point. And also falling in love with Dolores the mannequin. Mr. Penny crumb the GOAT. I think he and Lila would clock each other’s identity but this time they are platonic rivals snarking on each other and playing 4D chess

Number 6 (Ben) - There was no other option, he’s gotta be Miss Casey, by the way they both haunt the narrative and most people spoke positively of Ben after his death. 2x07 was incredible also, and I think there’s a 3rd Ben I haven’t pictured who grew up with the rest of the sibs, is trapped, and is so tired of going through experiments and tests, and really misses his family, and wants to go home. Let him out ):. BUT ALSO what if he was also Mrs. Cobel/Mr. Milchick. Mr. Sparrow. Number 2…. Double dipping wellness director and floor manager. Both the tormented and the tormentors… nature vs nurture and temperament affecting personality…

Number 7 (Viktor) - Nothing remarkable came of him during their childhood days, leaving him isolated from the other kids + severed trans story that. Would be so interesting to explore but I think I’ll leave that to someone thinking deeper than me on the topic. Sissy becomes his Burt that he falls in love with on the inside, but married to Carl on the outside with Harlan but willing to do adultery since the marriage is a little…. Yeah. Also definitely reintegrating bc good parallel to the violin mind sequence, misses his brother a lot and is very depressed for most of the story but very valuable to Reginald and the Commission since he works faster on the files than anyone else. Maybe the files are the apocalypse with a smiley face binder : ) Connects a lot to Mr. Hargreeves / Mr. Umbrella (Ben) and when they realize they’re family it’s ): ): ):

Thinking about the Christmas presents and the family secret Santa gifts and doing elaborate stuff so that Grace still believes that Santa puts the gift under the tree. Thinking about the burnt Christmas ham and the hot cocoa and the late night diner where they all debrief and get drunk and the leftovers in all their fridges afterward. Thinking about Claire having a stupid long wishlist that’s really expensive but Klaus gets her a cool ring from a vending machine and she wears it every day. Thinking about how five gets her a moleskine notebook and thinking about how Lila gives her an old necklace she wore to prom one year. Thinking about Luther and ray nerding out to MCU movies and Diego joining in. Thinking about Viktor learning Christmas songs on the violin and giving them a concert. Thinking about Allison baking cookies with Grace and Claire sleeping over at Diego and Lila’s house all winter break. Thinking about five helping them all with their homework. Thinking about how Klaus and Viktor would say “we had it a lot worse” when the kids complain about having homework during Christmas. Thinking about Ben wanting to run away from all this but getting dragged into it anyway. Thinking about Luther making Christmas dinner and all of them trying and failing to help. Thinking about all eight of them doing dishes and cleaning up together at 2am on Christmas Eve when all the kids are asleep. Thinking about how tired they would be. Thinking about how warm they would feel inside

A Klaus x Dave soulmate AU must be so strange.

Let's go with the soulmark one, for simplicity's sake. Dave, who was born without a mark and as the years go by, still doesn't have one. He thinks he is supposed to be alone, since he is attracted to men and that's something sinful in the eye's of society.

Klaus, who was born with a mark, but the mark is dark. Dead. His soulmate is already dead. What now? It's a sign for him to just go to any person who'll have him when he's an adult, since hey, he won't be able to find true love anyway, since they're dead, so it doesn't matter who he's with.

But oh wait. He sees ghosts. He sees dead people. And he is so so afraid of them when he is a child (continues to be so in his adult years thanks to their father). You want to tell him that his true love is a ghost?

Then Klaus travels to Vietnam. Dave gets a mark. And Klaus' isn't dead anymore it's so vibrant. Klaus is this mystery man who appeared out of thin air, just like Dave's mark just so suddenly appeared. (Why didn't it appear before? Is what Dave asks himself)

Klaus had to watch how his mark slowly turned back to black and remain that way. Forever

His foot touched your foot.

Oh fuck me in new directions what am i supposed to do?! You were internally panicking. You looked across the table at him. His eyes never left you. You swallowed slightly. He chuckled and looked away from you and to the conversation between sir reginald and your father. You pulled your foot away from him, making him glance at you for a split second. He smirked and looked back at the family's conversation.

After dinner the hargreeves led you and your family around the manor to a place to lounge and talk. You were following behind trisha and Maggie when suddenly you were shoved into another room that was on the side. A hand on your mouth keeping you from screaming. You struggled until you saw it was five looking down at you. He had an amused smirk and you threw his hand off from your mouth. “You barbaric idiot! You could’ve just asked to move to a different room to speak with me. After All this is your home” he chuckled “Yes i suppose i could’ve done that but what's the fun in that when i can just scare the daylights out of you” you scoffed and rolled your eyes and crossed your arms “Very funny. Besides that, why am i here?” he smiled and turned and headed to a door across the room “Right to the point i see. Come with me” you raised a brow and didn't move from your spot. It was large and beautiful. “Five, this is beautiful!” you laughed and quickly went inside looking up and around at the beautiful sight “I knew you’d like it.” you and him spent time around the library really getting into the books and the pages and at the beauty and magnificence of it all. As you are turned to a shelf looking inside a book you glance to five to see him also buried in a book. You thought about something “Hey five?” you said softly. He looked at you from his book “Yeah?” you halfway closed the book “I'm sorry for what i did last time we met.” he looked confused “Excuse me but, i don't understand what you're referring too.” you sighed you had kinda hoped he’d leave it alone “The wine and your…your thumb” he looked confused until he realized he made a face of understanding and then a face of amusement “You don't have to apologize for that.” now you are confused. “But you walked away in a hurry. You were still incredibly flustered considering what just went on between you and five. Your cheeks were a little red. You examined the room. You saw Colin's eyes darting to the penny every chance he got. Trisha was very enraptured by diego. She and him spoke to each other, whispered words and hushed giggles. Maggie didn't seem to be interested in much conversation. Luther hargreaves was insistent on getting her attention. This was unlike maggie. She wasn't usually shy, just more quiet. This surely didn't look like dhy it looked more uncomfortable and distant. But luther was sweet so why would there be any form of uncomfortable feelings?

Soon it became late. It was dark. Too dark to be out late at this time. That's when Grace spoke up next to Reginald “Dear, it's far too late. why dont they stay the night?” Your heart dropped to your ass. Are you gonna be staying here? Oh god. Reginald thought for a moment. “I suppose that is the right thing to do” your father cut in “Now Mr hargreeves my friend that seems unnecessary considering how generous you have been to let us in your home.” reginald chuckled, holding up his hand to silence him “No no it's no trouble, my friend. Penny will you show this family to the spare rooms "Penny nodded bowing softly “Yes, sir. Right this way please” she led them out of the lounge towards where the spare rooms were. Colins eyes never left penny. Penny avoided his gaze.

Soon the family was separated into different rooms. Luckily in the dresser there were night gowns to wear to bed. The rooms were lovely and comfortable. Furnished lovely and everything. You had put the nightgown on. You were brushing your hair at the vanity when you heard a voice in the hall. You stood and went to the door and pressed your ear to hear outside it. It sounded like…penny and colin. You whispered arguing until the set of feet headed down the hall. You were too curious for your own good. You picked up the candle holder that held three lit candles and headed out the door slowly and made your way to where the conversation could be heard.

Hear me out, no Apocalypse au.

Why didn't the apocalypse happen, you ask?

well, Plot twist, Reginald is a good father.

Literally that's it. The umbrella academy still exists, of course it does, but, Reginald is actually somewhat nice and treats the children as actual children.

He didn't send Luther to the moon, Luther isn't obsessed with being number 1 since Reginald didn't make him dependent on him, he didn't move out from the mansion but he did get a job as a mechanic.

Diego on the other hand, actually didn't drop out from the police academy, Reginald supported his decision of being a police. He became one of the best policeman and is still together with Eudora

Allison became a movie star without rumoring anyone and actually worked hard on her own, her and Patrick are divorced, Allison didn't rumor her daughter but her and patrick fell out of love, they have shared custody over Claire.

Reginald actually helped Klaus overcome his fear of ghosts by encouraging him, Klaus still drinks and smokes but tries to stop his addiction. He has a boyfriend (Dave) and runs a café with him.

Five still time traveled cause his a stubborn bitch boy, he disappeared for 3 months but came back, Reginald decided that Five was indeed ready and trained Five to time travel. Five growled up like the rest, his in university.

Ben actually survived (cause yes, my au I can do whatever I want, his still scared of his power but managed to control them, he decided to become a doctor.

Viktor's powers aren't surpressed. Reginald actually trained him and included him in activities so he didn't write the book, he actually has a pretty good relationship with everyone, he still has the same occupation of being a music teacher and such.

So yeah, that's my au!

I find out ironic that Reginald raised the children to save the apocalypse but instead his the one who caused it by being a horrible father.

Klaus was the first to change it he doesn't remember doing this and has been committing fraud (he takes his mother's last name in s2)

Allison took her husband's last name

Diego takes a traditionally Mexican last name while at the police academy to distance himself from the super hero title (takes on Pitts when he and Lila date - community contribution)

Viktor takes sissy's maiden name after having kept the Hargreeves name in an attempt to get Reggie to not be a dick to him

Ben admits he would've liked to take his mother's last name to Klaus while they're in rehab

Luther and solane collab on a new last name

Five takes his mother's last name as well
