My fav meta aspect of Bad Ending is that no one but the reader knows what happen to SEJANUS. Bc the abuse is always in private, with a closed door so no one can know EXACTLY what Snow do to him and theres no one he can tell. How he could say someone in the eyes and confess what he "allows" just to feel he was loved? ( Althought to be fair a big point too is that the abuse sometimes is public but no one recognite it bc Sejanus is district. So theres no one to tell actually

Only the reader can see his pain but the reader cant do ANYTHING about it
