This was supposed to be a simple Effie in #drawthisinyourownstyle Thing for @ttyto-alba but I had an idea and it turned into its own thing

My merc OC based in @ttyto-alba ‘s Heavy Cream universe, callsign: Amon. Headcannon is that he got his equipment from scientists that had split from ORCA, dubbing their creation the “owl eyes” operator equipment (spoiler alert, they weren’t happy about it), and one of his first “jobs” was running from ex-oblige jackles. Specialties are marksmanship, sabotage, and general chaos. Not pictured, 45x70mm augmented china lake launcher with specialized cluster munitions.

I like this character, I think I’ll expand on them a bit. Definitely more to come, probably clean this up digitally when I can.

For the past three months I kept on with my New Year’s resolution, drawing and learning to get better at it. And for those three months, I have been filling my sketch book with this girl. My oc Morgy. She’s the first to ever be put in paper and I couldn’t be happier with how she came out and progressed.

Here’s my interpretation of Huntress, for @ttyto-alba‘s Armored Core Character Design Challenge for the month of February. What do you meant I’m a month late!? (February was a pretty packed month, so I hadn’t been able to draw much).

We don’t learn much about Huntress, outside of her progress as a pilot and her fierce loyalty to the Controller. Based on the name and appearance of her craft (first an MT, then the AC you see above), I inferred that she must be at least somewhat proud of both her femininity and her looks. Since the player watches her grow from a relative novice to a veteran during the course of the game, I’d imagined her as being typical real-world pilot age - mid-late twenties, early thirties. Her outfit is basically a pilot suit with an undershirt, wearing the blouson over her shoulders in a relaxed show of confidence.

This was fun, and I’m definitely looking forward to doing the rest.

My first attempt at @ttyto-alba Armored core Character Design Challenge.

This is my shot at Huntress. She seems like a more experienced pilot thanks to her AC’s utilization of a more rounded out tool set, along side equipment that looks like she’s prepared to fight more drawn out fights long side the skirmishes (The Radar enhancer and ammo pod). Someone that has learned the virtues of being prepared to be dug in for a while. That combined with Alba’s evaluation that she is potentially quite confident in her appearance, pushed me toward this design.
