The Senju Clan

People

Compared to the Uchiha clan, who are phenotypically rather monotonous, the Senju clan had a very diverse population with a wider range of skin tones, eye and hair colors. There were generally very little restrictions when it came to marrying into the clan and becoming a part of it. The only traits most of the Senju shared were that of fine, straight hair whilst the Uchiha had thick and dark hair with curls not being uncommon.

The reason the Senju died out were two sides of the same coin - with many of the clan's members birthing less and less children, and those who did marrying outside of the clan to the point where there are many Konoha ninjas nowadays who are part Senju but may not even know it.

Traits and Abilities

The Senju were rather unspecified, wanting to hone their skills in all three fighting styles, though I like to think that Taijutsu was one they particularly excelled in. Once one's movements were fast enough to be evaded by the base sharingan (Mangekyou sharingan was, depending on the source material, either extremely rare or nonexistent), the Senju had an easier time fighting the Uchiha. Many of them became weapons and taijutsu specialists, making me think that Tenten might be part Senju and her idolization of Tsunade was a way to connect with her roots and get to know a fellow Senju.

Another skill of the Senju was wood style, which was a skill many Senju before Hashirama posessed, but they rarely ever utilized it in battle. Said ability was caused by a point mutation in the exome, prompting Orochimaru to later carry out experiment's on embryonic DNA to artificially induce said point mutation, killing dozens of newborns in the process.

Religion

While the Uchiha followed the way of Shintōism, most of the Senju were buddhists, like their distant relatives, the Uzumaki. Initially, the people living in the country of fire were engaging in both buddhist and shintōist practices, but with the continued rise of war between the shintō-believing Uchiha and the buddhist Senju, these two religions were more or less divided.

The Senju and the Uzumaki

The establishment of Uzushiogakure in the whirlpool country was received with mixed feelings from its inhabitants. Most Uzumaki, although practiced in the arts of combat, preferred their pacifistic lifestyle of teaching their ways on paper, and not on the battlefield. This instability made it easier for the hidden mist village to send colonialist forces, killing most of the Uzumaki in fear of their congenital abilities. And with the Senju living more and more decentralized and being too occupied with themselves, Uzushiogakure lacked the manpower compared to Kiri's extermination force.

The Senju's Legacy

Nowadays, after Konoha was founded, the Senju started living more and more decentralized, therefore there wasn't such a thing as the "Senju compound". The language of the Senju was adapted as Konoha's official language, causing the other hidden villages to adapt it as well. There were shrines for both buddhist and shintō believers in the village, but once Hashirama became the first hokage, more and more citizens adapted the Senju's religion of buddhism, with the shintō believers dwindling in numbers. Tobirama's segregation policy did not help in the slightest; although the Uchiha, who believed in family unity and support, lived closely together, being redlined and pushed into the same profession felt patronizing. But even though the Senju as a clan is no more, their legacy continues on, in good ways, and in bad.

𓆃 She is also a harsh grader. While you may not get grades in a traditional school sense, she does often test your knowledge and emergency response. 

𓆃 Everything must be perfect. Tsunade will let you know if the most minute detail is off. 

𓆃 Even when you have your successes, Tsunade isn’t the type to jump up and down for you. She’ll offer you a kind smile (if that) and a nod and a simple acknowledgement of your good work.

𓆃 And you know what? It actually feels great. 

𓆃 She’ll ask if you feel proud. She’ll lay out all of your accomplishments, have you look at the aftermath of her latest test and ask you how you feel.

𓆃 She wants you to take pride in your own work, not constantly look to her for approval

𓆃 For as harsh as Tsunade can be about you slacking, a good portion of your time spent with her is with her vices. Whether it be gambling or alcohol, it’s unfortunately something that comes with her.

𓆃 Running away from gambling debts or helping her home when she’s wasted is just something that’s a part of being her apprentice.

𓆃 Not to mention the clerical work that gets pushed on you when she doesn’t want to do it. 

𓆃 Easily the most demanding of the Three Sanin. Very critical. Detail oriented and will make you cry. But, damn, does she care about you. And Tsunade would be damned if her student didn’t become one of the very best.

“It could be worse. She could be dating an Uchiha.” As you opened your own door to exit the vehicle that had just parked in front of the house, Jiraiya’s narrowed optics bored into the dark, piercing eyes of his wife. Tsunade’s arms were crossed over her chest as they stood before the front window. Jiraiya shook his head, a heavy feeling in his gut. "This is worse. I've seen that kid at signings before."

He could never forget that sideways, spiky silver hair. He’d never seen any other man with locks that defied gravity the way his had — not other than himself at least, and maybe his godson.

Tsunade’s brows narrowed, her pink lips scowling. “What?! You know him?!”

“Yeah, Kakashi was his name. Kakashi Hatake. I remember it from the signing.”

“Sakumo’s boy?”

“Yup.”

“Wasn’t he always in trouble for fighting?”

“Yup.”

“Damn it,” Tsunade cursed, clenching her fists. "A pervert and a delinquent. What the hell are you thinking, (Name)?!"

"It's a new relationship. We could ruin it."

Tsunade gave it a genuine thought before clicking her tongue. "We shouldn't. She seems happy." "It's only been two months. It won't kill her to start again." He let out a scoff of disbelief when the two of you began to walk over his freshly cut grass, hand-in-hand. "Oooh, it's so over." "Cut it out! Get away from the window before they see us!" "Let him see me." Tsunade groaned and wrapped her arms around her husbands toned bicep and pulled. "Let's go, big boy. Time to pretend you've never met him."

The doorbell echoed throughout the house, and Jiraya propelled himself forward to reach it before her. He swung the door open in a flash, face already flushing in a swirl of anger and humiliation. As he opened the door, your happy greeting took all thoughts of assault from his mind. You immediately disregarded your boyfriend's hand for a hug from your father, latching onto your mother next. "Hi, dad! Sorry we're late! My cat got out, and Kakashi had to help me chase her." Kakashi had a face of stone, though it was pressed into a smile. He lowered himself into a substantially low bow. Unusually so, for Kakashi, but you knew he had to really lay it on in order to get out of this alive. Especially after you'd just botched it all to hell. What the hell had you been thinking?! Your cat got out?! She was terrified of the outdoors! "Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Senju. My name is Kakashi Hatake." You gave your mom a second hug - almost an apologetic one - before pulling back. An awkward pause settled between the four of you. If looks could kill, your boyfriend would be 12 feet deep twice over. Your father especially appeared to be seconds away from lashing out - either in a vicious, verbal way or, you were afraid he'd really punch him. A mix of emotions filled him as he eyed Kakashi. He was composed and respectful thus far - it would be unfair to keep the pressure mounting much further. Trying to keep his tone neutral, Jiraiya invited you in. "Well, let's not just stand in the doorway. Come on in." Kakashi bowed again before smiling. "Thank you. It's an honor to meet you, truly. (Name) is incredible in every way." Kakashi continued to lay on the charm throughout the next hour and a half, through a meal your mother had cooked (one of his least favorites, although he didn't particularly mind it this time), and both of you managed to stumble through conversations without any accidental innuendos. The time came, though, to where the dinner had ended, the conversations had died, and you needed to leave to prepare for work the next morning. It was evident they were still wary, though they had eased with time. You figured this would have to be something they got used to - you had been single for a long time, after all. During your goodbyes, though, it felt far much more lighthearted than before. You turned to your mother for one last hug, with Kakashi bowing to them both and shaking your fathers hand. "Take care of my daughter, Hatake." Your heart fluttered at the sound. Kakashi's eyes widened a bit as Jiraiya pulled him in. "And throw out every copy you own," he whispered threateningly. "Every. Last. One." He'd burn them. "Yes, sir. Of course," Kakashi agreed, fighting through a stutter. With that, Jiraiya's crushing grip eased, and your mother finally let go of her hug. You crossed the grass once more, hand-in-hand. "That went well!" You chimed. Kakashi winced a bit as you squeezed it reassuringly, an energetic lift to your step. "I hope so..." To be honest, i think saying something in a fanfic is ooc is lacking a little nuance. Fanfiction is all about writing a scenario that didn't happen in canon. Saying that a character wouldnt perform a certain action before reading a fanfic is nonesensical, because fanfiction is literally all about coming up with a situation you want your character in, and then rewriting the story in a way that that situation could plausibly occur.

Like for example, "sakura would never kill tsunade, thats ooc", which is technically true, but fanfic is all about changing the story in a way that it could happen and wouldn't be ooc. And it works amazingly if written well.

But it's also important to note that this only works if the writer understands the character. If the writer interpreted the character Incorrectly in the first place, it wouldn't work. An example of this would be sasuke being extremely flirtatious right at the start of a fanfiction. It would already be hard to come up with a scenario in which sasuke suddenly becomes a womanizer, but it especially wouldn't work without any build-up. In order not to be ooc, the writer needs to understand the character's personality and goals first.

Another situation in which ooc as a concept is valid is when someone would claim that, for example, sakura would kill tsunade as is, and that this concept didnt need any build-up, which is clearly incorrect.

All of this is why i really don't like calling depictions of characters in fanfics ooc, because a lot of the time, certain scenes get taken out of context. I think doing all this is also very difficult with a character like obito, who despite his intriguing character and writing, already has some inconsistencies in the source material (specifically towards the end of his life), but that's for another post.

(also small disclaimer this doesnt mean in any way that you cant interpret a character Incorrectly or that ooc as a concept is stupid, i just find it a lot more complicated in the context of fanfic, and ive seen many people write off interesting ideas as ooc and that's really unfortunate)

A MODERN! Naruto Zombie Apocalypse AU (happy v day)

"Oh, You're here! I didn't notice how you came in" Sakuro got up and scratched his head sheepishly. "sorry about the mess... The recon mission got a little... heated" he bit his lip, averting his gaze from your eyes.

You look around, taking in the gruesome scene, people and zombies alike scattered about, some had bullet holes, some were missing body parts. even though you were used to the dead by now, three years had passed since the Zombie virus breakout. people screaming and dying, either from being brutally murdered by one-another or eaten alive by the zombies left and right, you still had the urge to vomit from the stench of the rotting flesh.

You covered you nose and mouth with your hand, brows furrowed from disgust.

The man in front of you, Sakuro Haruno, as he introduced himself earlier had been given an order from a man named "Tsubasa Senjū" to go out scavenging for food and perhaps any survivors.

And that's how you two met. It has been a week since the encounter with the pinkette and his team.

Tsubasa had paired you up with him and Ino for the past few missions, since you didn't really know anyone else, and therefore couldn't trust them. all of them were weird in their own way, you mused in your mind. Inochin Yamanaka or Ino, for short, was a tall blonde-haired male. The man was good with scouting and scavenging missions like these. he had boasted multiple times about it. He knew where to find what and always whipped out an escape plan out of the most unfathomable death or life situations. He was obsessed with his hair, therefore an extra bag was needed for conditioners he would stuff in them.

Then there was Sakuro: The man was around 6'2, taller of the two best friends by an inch or two. His skin, unlike the blonde male, was covered with small scars and big gashes from the three years of hell they had been living in and some from his time in the army, his frame was bulkier than Ino's but also lean-ish. He was an ex-military, served five years, and was a combat medic, a very useful and valuable position in their current state. Unlike Ino-kun, Sakuro prided himself on his monstrous strength and medical knowledge, inheriting his combat style from his sensei Tsunade and his non-official sensei during his boxing and wrestling time, Ashura He was an apprentice of their current group leader, Tsunade, an ex-veteran, of two great wars. you later found out that the two had met during his service with Tsunade as his superior and Sakuro helped open a hospital in their old town village after his service. They trained many medics in their wake. Those very medics and comrades would soon fall into the misfortune of the current world. Aside from Tsunade, he had no biological family. His parents passed away during the first days of the walker attacks, being the "easy prey of the food chain". That, you two had in common. Your own parents and sister died in the crossfire of guns and Zombies.

Over the short period of time of hanging around with him, he slowly opened up to you and even managed to teach you how to use various types of weapons, like hunting knives, shuriken, and kunai, which was awesome, senbon and guns. He preferred hand pistols, hunting knives, and fists though. It was basic-level self-defense but it was good enough so you wouldn't die from some unfortunate encounter with a walker or a man and hold back the team.

Over the week, you managed to grow fond of him, but one thing that never ceased to both awe you and frighten you at the same time was the man's capability to shatter bones and rip bodies, shoot them down with an accuracy only an ex-fighter would have and still manage come out uninjured and almost, comically squeaky clean from the close-combat fights.

Shaking your head you came back to reality. "come on, Sakruo. this is not the time to be fooling about. The amount of noise your havoc has made will surely draw more walkers our way. me and Ino-san managed to scavenge a decent amount from this warehouse. Time to go."

The pink-haired male looked down at you, standing tall over 6'2. "Yeah, sure. let's go pipsqueak." he ruffled your hair.

You growled at him, swatting his hand away "Hey! stop calling me that!"

He chuckled and headed for the door. "Sure, pipsqueak. I'll stop calling you pipsqueak when you grow an inch or two taller, But I guess that won't be happening anytime soon now, will it?" he teased, making you even more flustered and angry.

infuriated by his remark, you ran after him "Hey, wait up, damn it!! i ought to teach you a lesson!!!" you yelled after him with your fist up in the air, promising a good beatdown.

As soon as you stepped out of the warehouse, throwing angry cusses Sakuro's way, distantly you heard a choir of groans.

A herd was coming your way.

You two looked at each other with wide eyes before both of you got in the car. Incohin started the car and drove away into the sunset.

Were you aware of your tastes in high school or just kind of obliviously enjoying the sweaty company of your classmates?

I had this kinda huge epiphany in 6th grade where I was like "I think this is when I'm supposed to start finding boys attractive and It has not happened to me.... Am I a lesbian?" And then I proceeded to couch that thought and ignore it for a long time. The levels of cope in hindsight were insane. I would also pretend to be a boy on club penguin and get online girlfriends, take them to the pizza parlor, and then back to my igloo where... Nothing happened I didn't know what to do beyond that point besides show them my puffles.

My first time ever making comics were these awful Naruto oc comics. I always shipped my self insert with deidara....extremely uh..hm...gender of me at that age??? and I was really into Tsunade.... I can't imagine why (.)(.).....

In 9th grade there was one girl who was out bisexual and I was DEEPLY in love with her but also still incredibly confused about those feelings. I thought it was so cool she could be into girls and I was jealous she would admit it freely to people. One of my core memories is laying on the floor skin to skin with her watching 8 mile and barely processing the movie because I was only thinking about her. She had a crush on my friend and I ended up facilitating getting them together resulting in the most confusing self inflicted heartbreak of my life.

There were lots more confusing scenarios, rping romance with online friends where "I was the boy, so it's very straight and normal and not gay or trans of me" before I finally had the epiphany freshman of college that I am stupid and in fact gay.

This is so funny because we literally see the opposite.

Sakura attempted to create a diversion thinking she had finally caught up to Naruto and Sasuke in skill. But she never communicates an actual plan to either of her teammates.

Sakura trusting her healing seal allows herself to be stabbed by Madara, her plan was probably to fool Madara into thinking he harmed her but due to their very close distance she would still be able take him down. Foolish of her, because she's never fought anyone with Madara's skills (something she should've taken into account before charging against him but alas) but Madara has already fought and defeated someone with the healing seal before, Sakura's own mentor and far more experienced kunoichi, Tsunade.

Which is why is double funny how the Sasusaku shipper says "he would know how to fight a sharingan user" in reference to Madara but doesn't have the same brain-power to conclude that Madara would also know how to fight a shinobi with the healing seal.

Sakura stans like to think this is Madara "prasing Sakura" when it's him communicating to us, the readers, that he recognized the healing seal used by another ninja he already defeated. Madara is telling us he knows how to fight and defeat someone with the healing seal. He's not impressed by Sakura, on the contrary, as we'll see in the following panels.

Sakura's attempt to be a diversion is frustrated by Madara who clocked what she was trying to do and had an "invisible wall" to protect himself, something Sakura clearly didn't expect and took her completely off guard. That's when Naruto and Sasuke had to intervene and run to her aid and rescue her from Madara.

What's even funnier is that the sasusaku shipper tries to come up with a sad pathetic argument on how Sasuke aCtUaLlY knew Sakura's plan (that she didn't have) and conveniently leaves out Sakura acknowledging Sasuke ignored her all along and it's only Naruto who cared for her wellbeing.

Sasuke didn't know if she had a plan because he wasn't even paying attention to her to begin with. Whole time Sasuke had been plotting a plan alongside Naruto who can actually go toe to toe with him in terms of skill and strategy. Both of them were able to see what Sakura could not, Madara's clones.

Also notice how the sasusaku shipper left out the fact that Madara mocked Sakura and called her the sideshow but Sakura stans swear the man was impressed by her skills lmao

Because that's the thing, Naruto and Sasuke were always able to see Madara's invisible clones thanks to their Sage Path Powers, that's why they didn't immediately attack, they were assessing the situation. That's also why Naruto told Sakura to wait, she is not on par of Madara but also she had no idea there were clones surrounding him, which she initially thought were an "invisible wall". The first white "explosion" you see is actually one of Madara's clones blocking Sakura's punch, the other two "explosions" come from Naruto and Sasuke, who were aware of the clones this whole time, blocking their attacks so Sakura wouldn't be harmed any further and be killed or rendered too wounded to fight (like Tsunade).

Sakura, on the other hand, demonstrating zero teamwork skills and a total lack of communication as well as ineptitude as a kunoichi charged against Madara not bothering to evaluate the battle scenario first, overconfident on her own (lackluster) skills. She attempted to attack an enemy she had no clue of his skills or powers resulting in an embarrasing defeat.

Finding Happiness (Itachi Uchiha x reader)- 1

This is the start of a series of scenarios for post-war Itachi (yes he lives) finding happiness with you! I miss fluff in Itachi's tag so why not make my own.

I want to mainly focus on the relationship but some chapters down the line will explain more plot also the chapter sequences might not end up in chronological order^^

Chapter 1- Grocery Shopping + Cafe Cuties Next Chapter?

“I want to help.”

“You should want to take it easy instead,” you sigh. Itachi was up...yet again to help despite being on mandatory bedrest to help his body regain its strength back. He’s restless; it’s easy to understand; he’s banned from missions, and staying home is rather dull, but...

“Tsunade strictly said you were to rest while on house arrest. That’s the whole point I’m here.” You rest your arm on the cool kitchen countertop to grab a pen and begin writing down a shopping list with a huff.

“....”

At the silence, you turn around with pursed lips to face Itachi only to stifle a laugh when you see his face: eyebrows furrowed, lips just slightly jutted-

If you didn’t know any better, you’d say he’s pouting.

“I would argue three weeks of nothing but bed imprisonment is adequate enough rest, don’t you agree.” Itachi huffs. 

After weeks of being detained right alongside Sasuke, Kakashi made the executive decision that Itachi deserved something better than a jail cell: temporary house arrest. 

With a babysitter. 

You glance at Itachi’s mildly annoyed face, momentarily taking in the sight.

You’ll spare him...for today.

“hm...fine, the sun would do you well anyway.” You finish writing the list and hand it to Itachi, whose eyes blankly rake the paper, then folds it into his pocket.

“Well, let’s go,” You stand at the doorway where a large black seal awaits, designed to trigger the alarm around Itachi’s ankle. Weaving the signs, you both squint at the burst of light before ushering him out the door.

As the two of you walk out of the Uchiha compound, you ponder over the last few weeks with Itachi. You can’t count the heart attacks you’ve gotten from seeing an empty bed and surprise; he was admiring the fish. 

He is a quiet, stealthy patient, somewhat akin to an 87-year-old senior citizen. On the more serious end, you think back solemnly; his eyes had often reflected his concession to emptiness. Sunken in and soulless.

‘But now…’ You peer at Itachi from the corner of your eye.

His eyes sharp and attentive; the color is back in his face; sunkissed pink cheeks, his short sleeve shirt giving view to his lean muscles-

‘He’s actually kinda...’

Itachi can’t tell if it’s the heat of your gaze or the sun flushing his cheeks.

Your gaze washes over him, a captivating light he yearns to forever bask in. Domesticity is a variable of life he is unacquainted with and…undeniably undeserving of. 

And yet, the further you expose him to gentleness, affection, and peace, the more he greedily deludes himself into that he belongs.

Encompassed in a life of peace he’s desperately craved, peace he’s found with you.

Within the shinobi existence, emotions, relationships…living. All become an unforeseeable luxury.  

It’s unsettling to desire. To be human.

Itachi silently shifts his eyes toward you, observing as you conceal your face, abashed from being caught. He finds himself smitten. 

“You were looking a little pale. If you feel weak at any time, don’t be afraid to lean on me.” 

A lie, of course. An utterly endearing one.

‘Perhaps, in this life…’

He capitalizes on the chance anyway. 

‘…I can be selfish.’

As you head into the village, you feel something creep around your arm. 

Neither of you acknowledge it.

Your arm is still intertwined with Itachi’s as you both find purchase in a decently sized everything market. Waving to the cat perched in the front, you read the aisle numbers with its affiliated products: ‘Household items- 1, Toys- 2, Jewelry- 4,...Fruits & Dairy- 5’. After detecting where you wanted to begin, you guys head to your destination, avocados. 

Itachi lightly tugs your arm, signaling your attention.

“It’ll be quicker if we split. The potatoes are within eye range; I’ll only be a minute.” Your face scrunches in; reluctantly, you let go with a poorly concealed pout.

“... don’t trust me? I promise I’ll return to you shortly.” With that, Itachi saunters, leaving a lingering graze against your skin. 

You pause, leaving the way your heart palpitates unavowed. ‘A kiss would have sufficed,’ you snicker and return to your dilemma with hunched shoulders.

You’re on your fifth avocado before you give a groan of defeat. “I can’t tell which ones are good or not; they all look the same,” you mumble, distracted enough to miss the figure peering closer.

“May I see?”

His gentle whisper tickles your ear, you force the quiver down your spine to still- even when you feel his careless lips making one too many brushes to your ear, you wordlessly nod yes.

His broad chest and feather touch of his hair against your cheek overwhelm your senses as he reaches his arm around your waist to probe at the fruit you have in hand.

You pray he can’t feel the way your heart beats.

“Hmm...this one is ripe. You can tell by the dark color and firmness...good eye.” Within a blink, the weight of Itachi’s presence vanished, and he pulled away.

Ah. That.

“R-right, thank you,” you fumbled over your wording and rushed to the edge of the aisle. “Okay, let’s split from here to make things easier; I do the first half of the list, you do the last. Capeesh?” Fingers bend into a okay sign; you give a shaky grin and rush down to the next aisles, leaving Itachi to fend for himself.

“...” Itachi blinks, idly standing before he lets out a defeated puff of air.

 ‘...It appears I’ve made a mistake.’ With furrowed brows, he peers down at the list with a harsh, focused stare.

Your mind hasn’t left Itachi as your heart physically pains in guilt; it’s his first time out in weeks, and you flat leave him. Putting your final item in your shopping basket, you haul it down Itachi’s direction, only to find him in the exact same position as before.

Tilting your head, you ask befuddled, “Itachi, what are you doing?...” Oh. 

You steer closer, and the pitiful sight in front of you makes your shoulders pull straight; Itachi’s eyes strain, glaring down at the paper an inch away from his face at a poor attempt at reading the words.

He can’t see.

‘How long has he been-’ you quickly shuffle in your bag and call for Itachi’s attention. “You should’ve said something! I had brought your glasses with me, but I completely forgot about it-” Itachi takes it with a grateful upturn of his lips.

“Thank you..” He mutters, drawing his attention back to the list. “We are still missing the tomatoes and bread; I passed them earlier on our way in. Follow me.” Itachi gingerly takes your wrist in hand and leads you down the correct aisle.

Soon after you paid, you’ve collectively decided to grab a bite to eat. “Itachi, you smell that?” You sigh out an exhale; an alluringly sweet smell wafts itself above all the open markets along the sides from a small corner amongst the buildings. A mini cafe.

You brush against the roughness of Itachi’s calloused fingers, only grabbing his pinkie to lead him down.

You’ll pretend like you didn’t see the way he flushed.

Slouching in the seat across Itachi, you flex out the ache in your fingers from the weight of the bags as you wait for your shared order of dangos.

“I’ll assist you with the baggage on our way out.”

Looking up in disbelief, you scoff,  “Hell no- you’re still in recovery.”

“Don’t overwork yourself for my sake....”

Hypocrite.

You open your mouth to respond, only to suppress yourself at the sight of the waiter approaching.

The waiter smiles while serving your drink and food, then turns over and carelessly drops Itachi’s tea, droplets splashing onto Itachi’s lap.

With a twitching smile, the waiter laughs, “Oh, how clumsy of me, you should get yourself clean. You mutt; should be easy for a traitor, always covering his dirt.” Your mouth is agape, eyes shifting from Itachi to the waiter.

Itachi remains unfazed, his gaze fixed on the waiter with an air of nonchalance. It’s almost patronizing. The waiter scowls, turning away from the stare-down, muttering his pitiful complaints about Itachi’s mere presence.

“Geez, what was their problem?” You scoff side eyeing the waiter. Itachi sits silently, sipping his tea, looking down at his plate with a vacant stare. “...Itachi, you okay? I’ll go backhand a bitch for you, they had no right to treat you like that.” 

Itachi’s eyes shift to you at your aggressive demeanor. “Don’t. I’ve made peace with my past; their hate will only torment themself.” 

A lie. For a brisk moment, you noted how his mug trembled under the tension of his grip. You make a tsk noise, propping your head onto your hand, reluctantly letting the situation go.

Glancing up, Itachi discerns how your lips are still pulled into a snarl, glowering in the general direction of the offender. 

‘Hm, that won’t do.’

Rolling back the ache in his shoulders, he figures he could relieve your tension. If it’d make you smile,

“…besides…”

He’d be a fool. 

You turn back over with an inquiring hum.

“...they just aren’t sigma enough to control themself.” He returns to sipping his tea.

“…”

“....”

“Pfft- WHAT” You break the silence, convulsing with laughter. “I-Itachi, don’t ever say that in your life again- I’m not a good influence on you.” Still unable to break the giggles, you look at Itachi’s soft stare and slowly compose yourself under his unwavering gaze.

You cough in your hand and shift your eyes away.

“Let’s eat.”

You fall into a rhyme of chewing and idle conversation. 

“See, now you’re lying! I never laughed when you put your glasses on-” The table shifts from the weight of your knee. You firmly dangle Itachi’s wrist away from his glasses as he attempted to remove them a few seconds ago.

“...you couldn’t even catch your breath.”

“I was just surprised! I’ve never seen your eyes so…beady.” You tremble, holding back a cackle. His prescription, unfortunately, made his lens the size of a brick, but thankfully, Tsunade aided in making it more suitable.

“So now my eyes are beady,” His voice barely whispers, he looks off to the side. A look of dismay washed over your face; you cusp his face between your hands, pulling his gaze back up to you.

“Hey- don’t get all mopey; you know I think you’re cute with the glasses on.” You softly look to reassure him, guilty over your tease...until you notice the subtle twitch in his lips, a poor attempt at maintaining his stoic facade.

He was joking. 

Itachi shifts his weight into your palms, eyes closed in total serenity. “Do I?...”

‘Absolutely full of himself.’ You express your annoyance with an eye roll and flop back into your seat, leaving Itachi’s head to hang.

‘...did I displease her again.’ Itachi looks down at the final dango stick and holds it to you.

“Here, a truce for forgiveness.”

“But, that’s your favorite…and we bought that with your budget-” you sheepishly add.

“Please, I insist, I...don’t think I can finish this.” Itachi gives a light smile as he hovers the stick to your lips.

The blood rising to your face makes you dazed as you brush aside bits of your hair and savor the first dango ball on your tongue with a hum.

You swear it tastes sweeter from him.

“Thank you, Itachi; consider yourself forgiven.” You say before opening your mouth for the next one.

“All done,” you brush your hands off proudly after putting away all the supplies and produce. When cleaning up the bags, you notice a mini bag that looks different from the rest. 

‘Could this be Itachi’s?...’ You gently spread open the bag, eyes widening in astonishment; a beautiful crystal necklace sweetly lying in a small box with a small note tagged onto the front.

It reads,

‘I hope it’s to your liking, I noticed you wear this color frequently. Let this be a mark of our friendship ~ Itachi.’

💜​Probably quite interesting for Indra to find out about your...unique way of healing people. It's just a little bit weird to him when he hears about it the first time but as long as you do your job, he will just ignore it. At least until the obsession gets into gears and suddenly he becomes very much displeased about it. You can expect him to interfere with your task of healing people as he demands you to find a new way to heal people, as long as he'll allow you to do it at least. Then there is obviously also the spiteful sarcasm that is coming your way as he questions why you have to heal people by letting them bite you in the first place. What is crystal clear though is that you aren't going to be able to heal people like this from now on and he gets so furious whenever he sees the bite marks on your skin. Obviously he is going to react in a terrible way as Indra is highly possessive and doesn't want anyone to touch his darling at all so you are going to find yourself isolated very quickly. You better pray that those bites will fade away with time or else he will get quite rough with you.

Madara Uchiha

🌑​If you work as a healer, you're going to lose your job very quickly with Madara involved. You can't possibly expect him to just let it slide. Honestly, he could find your special way of healing very amusing if it wouldn't be for the fact that you heal other people by letting them bite you. He may not be as outright enraged as Indra but it is still quite intimidating to witness his glare whenever he notices a new bite you have on your skin. So Madara starts meddling with your missions by reducing them significantly as well as making sure that you go with him when he is on missions. It is honestly pointless since he doesn't need you at all whilst his enemies desperately need you when he is done with them. You even argue with him that other shinobi need you much more than he does but he never listens to you. He's definitely having an argument with the elders of his clan when he tells them that he plans to marry you as they view the concept of your ability as inappropriate. Not to mention that it would be highly improper to have him married to someone who is littered with bite marks of other people.

Hashirama Senju

🌳​He's trying so hard to hide that he is very uncomfortable with the thought of other shinobi biting you in order for you to instantly heal them as he wants to be supportive of your job and your dreams. However, it is still obvious that Hashirama is struggling to do so. He would have already given you a confused smile in another scenario but would have accepted it. The problem is that you just happen to be his obsession and he happens to be the Hokage and the head of the prestigious Senju clan. People are talking about you and whilst he knows that many in Konoha think highly of you, there are just as many that have to comment about your unique way of healing others only because you are the partner of him. It is unheard of and very unfitting for quite a few people that you let yourself get bitten by others, an act that can be viewed as sexual, to heal their wounds and that those marks on you are so visible. Hashirama tries to hush all of those voices as good as he can but he can't deny that he is also feeling disheartened whenever he sees those marks, wondering if there is a better way for you to do your job without hurting yourself.

Tobirama Senju

🌊​He is going to give you a mildly weirded out look when he figures out how you heal people but he decides to not mind as long as you do your job as a healer. For Tobirama the problem starts when he realises that he has caught some rather obsessive feelings for you because differently from Hashirama, he doesn't hesitate that much. Instead he is very set on having you stop doing your job as you have done so in the past. Instead he tries to convince you to just heal people like other medics do by using jutsus, even if your method is more effective as it heals instantly. He is much more mindful of his clan and traditions so Tobirama dreads thinking about all the gossip that would arise the moment it would be made public knowledge that he plans to make you his spouse. Whilst he knows that you don't have second thoughts when you let others bite you for healing, he knows that other people likes stirring up some unsavory rumors for the sake of having something to gossip about. Obviously it would be also just very improper for you to let yourself get bitten and have those bite marks even whilst being married to him.

Tsunade Senju

🐌​Tsunade is feeling kind of conflicted about your technique. On the one hand she is also a doctor and medic and for that is able to realise just how effective your skills are as they allow instant healing. On the other hand the lady is also a good bit possessive and protective so the part of others having to bite you in order to have their injuries healed strikes a wrong cord within her. She has seen all those permanent bite marks on your skin as a result of helping others and it triggers some dark feelings inside of her. She wants you to stop if she has to be honest. She can just teach you how to use normal medic jutsu that doesn't involve you hurting yourself over and over again like this. Tsunade has spent a lot of time treating all the marks on your arms and other body parts as they don't really seem to heal all that well and you remember the angry frown on her face whenever she did so. Even if it is for the sake of others, you shouldn't constantly have to inflict such lasting damage onto yourself. You know very well how protective she can get.

Pain

🌧️​Luckily for his sanity, you don't have to use any of those skills of yours anymore after he has abducted you. The bad news for you is though that you are abducted and isolated now. It is likely that you might have been part of the organisation before you were unlucky enough to catch Nagato's eyes but it is too late now to regret the path you have chosen. There isn't much for you to do in the tower he has imprisoned you in as you spent a good while just being intimidated and scared around all bodies of Pain as Konan is the only one who who you feel somewhat comfortable around. Nevertheless though, you have never missed the way his bodies have looked at your skin visibly littered with bites with their Rinnegan whenever they were around. You can already imagine that the leader of the Akatsuki isn't too happy with it but in any of the bodies of Pain, those feelings of discontent and anger are never as vividly expressed as Nagato actually feels them. The only comfort for him is knowing that you can't let others bite you anymore now that he has you locked away.

Itachi Uchiha

🍡​Your abilities could make you a useful addition to the Akatsuki if they would ever find out about you but Itachi has made sure to keep you a secret from them as he doesn't want to involve you in such a dangerous life. Quite fancy coming from him as he is the same person who kidnapped you and Itachi knows of that. He probably doesn't let it show but he would lie if he would say that he wasn't triggered at times when he saw how you used your abilities to heal other people and it might have pushed him a bit faster to commit the act of abduction. Despite the composure he often personifies, you have to keep in mind that he is still an Uchiha. A clan infamous for the intensity of their feelings. He doesn't blame you though as he knows that deep down you only wanted to help people even whilst sustaining permanent bite marks which have never fully faded away, the outline of teeth imprinted on your skin. He never comments on those bite marks though whenever you wear clothes that should reveal them.

Sasuke Uchiha

💙​He is familiar with such an ability as he knows Karin who has the very same power that you possess. He has chosen Karin specifically for those among many others of her abilities when he formed his own team after killing Orochimaru. However, you are quite different than Karin is as you are the person he has chosen to spend his life with. So his very negative and possessive reaction upon finding out just how you heal people is nothing unexpected as he immediately understands the implications. Sasuke is very quick to put his foot down and to forbid you from using your skills to heal others again as the very idea of you letting others bite you triggers his possessive feelings. He is very selfish as he even stops you from helping injured people if you should meet them during the journey he has forced you to join together with him. Also, the bite marks all over your body are always sure to trigger him some way or another which makes him in return much more needy to constantly claim you as his own as well as being at times petty enough to use your healing abilities for every small cut he sustains.

Sakura Haruno

🌸​Sakura is at one point also familiar with Karin and just like her teacher, she has also chosen the path of a medic, although she has acquired tremendous strength along the way. Even Sakura finds herself feeling a bit conflicted at times though as you are still her darling and for that reason she just can't help but feel weird to just see other people biting you in order to be healed. Obviously she acknowledges and respects that you are dedicated to help other people when they are in danger due to their wounds and as a medic she would never stop you from saving those who are in desperate need. There is still a part of her though that feels weird whenever she spots those bite marks on your body, although she does her best to not stare at them or to make any comments about them as she doesn't want you to think that she loves you less because of them. Just like Tsunade though, she still tries finding a way to heal them faster if they shouldn't fade away.

Headcanon time: I feel like, the Blank Period after Shippuden was kind of a missed opportunity, in my eyes. Look, I get that everything needed to wrap up, but... seriously? We don't even get an emotional, on-screen scenario where Naruto finally becomes Hokage? Maybe after months of him forcing himself to suffer through these accursed Chunin exams (because bureaucracy fucking sucks, but, it is what it is), getting promoted to Jonin, before he can even HOPE to apply as Hokage?

Another thing, in the Blank Period, I don't care what anyone else tells me, Neji Hyuga, the GOAT, deserved to live, he did not deserve to die so disgracefully in the war, being turned into a wooden pimp cushion. Hence, I will not ever canonically acknowledge his passing.

You know what passing I WILL accept though, in my mind? Hiashi Hyuga. That piece of work actually deserved to go out like that, after everything he did to Hinata, her cousin and her sister (this is a can of worms I will open up another time). And because of his death, the Hyuga clan is left without a leader during the Blank Period. It would have given Hinata something to do, to actually participate in the process, along with Neji, on how they will be resolving this problem with the leadership question, mending the bridges with Hanabi too, outside of just being immediately reduced to a birthing machine. And don't get me wrong, I don't mind Naruto and Hinata getting busy (*wink*), they deserve it, but, the way it was shown off in the anime, came in such a jarring and abrupt way, I thought they would actually give it some time first, because, being an adult, is coming with a lot of unique difficulties, that need to be discussed first. I would have enjoyed some of that "being adults suck" point being discussed from Naruto's and Hinata's POV.

Like, before even having Boruto and Himawari, they could have just settled on enjoying life together for a few years, before the true stress with their jobs and children begin. They are not their families, they should be smarter about this.

Plus, this point is more of a stretch on my end, but, the anime talked about the "Madara Crisis" of sorts, where loyal, mentally ill followers of Madara demanded for the Infinite Tsukuyomi to return, which translated to me, only means: A Madara Crisis story. Like, it's not just nameless NPCs that are affected by this, but also specific shinobi that Naruto & Friends met, in the course of their lives. The Dead Rising geek leaves my body here. For real, imagine, some shinobi, like for instance, Kakashi (in my AU, Guy died fighting Madara, I really don't care what people try to tell me, him getting saved at the last minute just cheapened everything about his violent assault on Madara, sorry, I love Guy too, but if he died, he would have truly become a legend, think of it that way, it's sad, but a far more fitting end to his character), Hanabi, Shino, Tsunade, etc. being hit the worst by this Madara influence, where they would also join these followers, just wanting the emotional scars to close up, as some wounds just never heal, no matter how much time passes, and the 4th Shinobi war also contributed to their problems and emotional states. And they, in the context of a Dead Rising scenario, become Psychopath boss fights, except that, unlike there, you don't kill them. This saga would have given so many side characters a chance to take the lead for a change, and show off, how much progress they had made, coming over from the 4th war, to the Blank Period. I will just leave this here.

Now, some characters are going to sadly be banned for this, mainly because its an actual canonical part to the AU, so a lot of characters wouldn’t make sense in one way or another. If you want a banned character, it will have to be in a normal ask!

Banned Characters Include:

ANY of the Beacon cast. If they go to school, they’re automatically out. They cannot be students and members of a porn cast, people!

This goes for the exchange students as well, like Arslan, Neon, Reese, Cinder, Emerald, etc.

Glynda Goodwitch is out, since she’s a teacher at Beacon.

Winter Schnee is in the Military at the moment.

Raven Branwen is out, she’s currently running a bandit camp and depending on placement in the timeline, she’s on Cynthia’s shit list

However, this ban on pretty much the whole of the RWBY cast give you a great option to bring in other characters, ones from other anime and games, minus a few, like Rumi/Miruko from MHA (she’s Velvet’s half sister in this AU)! This is to help me get into using other muses, as well as make it so Cynthia doesn’t just fuck one of the same three people in every porn shoot!

Alright... Do you know what would be REALLY interesting to see in Naruto Shippuden?

A scenario/script like this;

Before Naruto actually hitting the road to find Sasuke, him realizing bringing him back might cause more problems for Sasuke... Both physically and mentally...

You know, whole village, most probably, will call him "Traitor"... And MORE IMPORTANTLY, might even want to execute him, want his head on a stick, in the middle of Konoha. (A sad possibility?)

And as Naruto thinks about this, he slowly looses his sanity... I mean it... He gets more depressive about it every day... Panic attacks, unstoppable crying attacks... All of it...

And before the ACTUAL day he lefts the village, to find Sasuke... He goes to talk to Kakashi and Tsunade in Hokages office about this issue... About what's gonna happen to Sasuke, once he comes back.

Now, here is the real deal that makes things get interesting... There, he hears that HIS OVER THINKING WAS ACTUALLY HAD A POINT.

In the middle of Hokage office at that exact second, he starts to have another panic attack. Kakashi and Tsunade quickly tries to calm him down. But... After they did calm him down... All they see is Kurama's red eyes... And Naruto explaining calmly, his eyes focused on the ground, no saight of emotion.

"His own brother... Uchiha Itachi, killed Sasuke's, his own, clan... And then... He killed his own parents in front of Sasuke. Uchiha Sasuke is only a kid who wants revenge if his parents...
