As the all-famous saying goes, curiosity killed the cat.
But as for Tsireya, your own curiosity was beginning to be her own kryptonite.
The Sully’s arriving was both a blessing and a curse. At first Tsireya had welcomed them with open arms, so did you. Unlike his brother and his friends.
However, in the following weeks they had stayed, you and Tsireya were interacting less.
You were always with the Sully’s, always asking them about the life in the forest and such. Tsireya could admit that she had the same curiosity, however, they were beginning to get closer to you.
Tsireya was starting to not like it at all.
Don’t get her wrong, she absolutely is kind and respectful, but when her significant other’s attention was beginning to be a contest, well…
She’s bound to get jealous.
How could she not? The times where she’d make plans for the both of you, you either end up having your schedule suddenly full, or it was one of them asking you to go with them.
Nonetheless, a sad kind of jealousy settled within her, thinking back to your last interaction, exactly just a few minutes ago.
“(Y/N)... wait up!” Tsireya said, running over to you as you turned to the sound of her voice.
“Reya, hey!” You greeted her by grabbing her hand and kissing the back of her hand, something you had taken a liking to do.
Tsireya’s cheeks turned a shade darker but she smiles. “I thought we were supposed to hang out today?”
She then saw your face contort into realization, but before you could speak, Tsireya from the corner of her eye, could spot Tuktirey.
“(Y/N)! Let’s go they’re going to leave us!”
Tsireya then watched as you turned your head towards Tuk, then back at her, with a new look on your face.
Apologetic.
“Neteyam, Kiri, and Lo’ak wanted me to teach them a few tricks on their ilus and I had already promised them,” You began, frowning when you saw Tsireya do the same. The smile on her face long gone.
“But you could come! Come on, it’ll be fun.” You tried cheering her up, holding her hands.
Tsireya puts on a fake smile, although on the inside she felt like her heart was being squeezed out. She missed hanging out with you and you only. No one else. But it seems like she was the only one with that feeling.
With a fake smile on her face, she shakes her head, slowly pulling away from your grasp.
“That reminds me, mother just asked for me earlier, I should go check on her… but you guys have fun!”
And the worst part is, you didn’t even question her.
You nodded in understanding, a genuine smile on your face that Tsireya just wanted to erase right now.
“Ahh, okay then, but tell your mother I said hi—"
 You got cut off by Tuk calling out for you again. You laugh and look at Tsireya.
“We’ve got to go, but I’ll make it up to you next time, I promise.” You said goodbye with a quick kiss to her cheek, smiling at her before you were turning around and catching up with them.
Tsireya stood there, watching your retreating form, her lip almost quivering as she hid her true emotion.
Now a few days had passed and it seemed like you had completely forgotten about her at all.
If you didn’t miss her, then why should she?
Then Tsireya had come up with a plan, even if this plan hurt, it would slowly but surely have you coming back to her in no time.
Going back to you, you had hung out with the Sully’s more often, trying to teach them other stuff that wasn’t taught by Rotxo or Aonung before.
However, there was a point in time when you had begun to wonder where was Tsireya.
You had begun to also miss her presence, you did your tasks daily, but this time the only difference was- there was no Tsireya in sight to talk to you, or even just to keep you company.
You tried to look everywhere you can when you had your free time, but it looks like she doesn’t want to be found.
Then the amount of longing you have to see your mate only surfaced further as you asked around the people, but they would only give vague answers.
“I’m pretty sure she was just right there”
“I saw her walking not to long ago over there”
“She just passed by, haven’t you seen?”
Then a desolate feeling began to settle in your veins. Where could she be? Was she ignoring you?
With those questions planted in your head, you slowly lessened the time you’ve spent hanging out with the Sully’s and had spent more time on finding Tsireya, it was unusual.
Usually, she’d just be right by your side, clinging onto your arm and rambling on about your day.
Now you were just walking alone, hoping to be given a sign on where your significant other could be.
Of course, the Sully’s had also began to get curious as to why you were going around looking like a lost viperwolf pup, but they had understood once you had explained why.
“Ooh, that sucks.” Lo’ak said, earning him a smack on the arm from Kiri. Neteyam shakes his head at Lo’ak’s comment.
“We’re sorry, (Y/N), I hope you can make it up with Tsireya.” Kiri said, offering a sympathetic smile.
“If you need some backup, we’re glad to help.” Neteyam said.
“Don’t worry guys, I can handle this.” You smiled at them.
You were pulled from your thoughts when you had spotted a similar figure of a certain Metkayina round the corner, holding a basket.
Wasting no time, your walk had turn into a jog in order to catch up to the figure.
“Reya!” You called out, you watch as the Metkayina pause in their steps, spotting their ears flicking to the sound of your voice, before they walked again, this time turning into a speed walk.
You huff, relieved at the same time not so as she ignored you.
“Tsireya, hey, wait up!” You then caught up to her, placing your hand on her shoulder to halt her movements.
You waited for her to turn around, and she did.
What you expected was for her to greet you with an amicable expression, however, it was the complete opposite.
Her face had been scrunched, a frown much evident on her mouth as her eyebrows were almost stuck together as she looked at you with a hint of sadness and angry frustration.
You doubled back, having unseen this expression on her face for a while. You gave a light squeeze on her shoulder.
“Reya… what’s wrong? Why are you upset? Did someone hurt you?”
Tsireya could almost feel an exasperated laugh leave from her lips, but she had prevented it.
She shrugged off your touch even if she didn’t want to.
“You’ve… I’ve been trying to find you for days… even weeks now, Reya, what’s wrong?”
“Really? Now you come to me when you have been doing the exact same thing, (Y/N). I can’t believe you, why don’t you go back to the Sully’s.” Tsireya snapped. As much as she’d like to stay and finally talk things through, she found herself walking away, with tears building up in her eyes that she was quick to wipe with her free hand.
She hadn’t expected her plan to backfire on her emotions.
You felt a sting in your heart once you’ve realized what you’ve done.
You completely blasted her off without thinking, ignoring her just to spend time with your friends.
Fuck.
Frowning, your ears picked up a sob coming from her retreating form, making the feeling of guilt hook into your heart even deeper.
By the time you’ve realized what you were doing, you were grabbing her hand and making her face you.
“I’m sorry, Tsireya. I’m an idiot for not realizing it sooner- Please, let me make it up to you, okay?”
You spoke, the basket being discarded on the floor as you held both her hands now.
Tsireya was relieved you had acknowledged your mistake and promised to do better, that was enough, but she was still observant.
“You promise? I don’t want you leaving me hanging again… you have to know that hurts.”
You squeezed her hands, nodding, understanding that you have caused her pain and she was just letting you feel the same thing she did. You cannot blame her.
“I promise, Reya, all right? I won’t ditch you again, promise. I’m sorry for hurting you.” You spoke softly.
The edges of Tsireya’s mouth turned upwards into a small smile, making your heart warm at the sight as she slowly nods. “I trust you.”
“Come here.” You said, raising your hand to cup her cheek, pulling her close and nuzzling your nose against hers and leaving a peck on her lips. She then suddenly turns a shade darker, flustered. Her frustration obliterated by your simple affection.
Seeing Tsireya with an even wider smile on her face makes you mirror her expression, then your eyes had caught on the thrown basket on the ground.
“Oh shit, sorry.” You spoke, bending down to grab the basket sheepishly.
Tsireya eyed you while you held the basket, and she already knew how you were going to pay her back.
Her genuine smile turned into a teasing one as she tilts her head. “I guess I’ve found my helper for today…”
You looked up at her, a dumbfounded smile on your face as you let out a small ‘huh?’
Tsireya makes a quick glance to you and the basket in hand, leading you to connect the dots.
You laugh, holding the basket high and standing straight, causing Tsireya to laugh that sounded heavenly in your ears, perking up.
“In that case; where to, ma’am?”

I’m back at it with the uncle Lo’ak headcanons you’re never going to escape me
Neteyam’s second child, his only son, absolutely adores Tsireya. Normally Lo’ak is his favourite person, which of course he is, the kids his mini me, and whenever he comes to visit the two are inseparable. Until Lo’ak brings his mate along for the youngest’s first communion with Eywa. Tsireya had been unable to visit as frequently as Lo’ak due to her duties to her own clan, but made sure that she attended such an important event in her nieces and nephews lives.
So the kid is four when he meets her for the first time since his own communion and boy is it love at first sight, which everyone but Lo’ak finds hysterical “Baby brother, that’s exactly how goofy you looked when you first saw her.” And so the competition begins, but we know our boy Lo’ak isn’t going to win this one. The kid doesn’t leave Tsireya’s side for her whole visit and his favourite person, Uncle Lo’ak becomes nothing but his competition.
Lo’ak doesn’t even know who he’s more jealous of, the kid who’s being allowed to push him out of the way for cuddles with his own mate, or his mate who’s stealing away his precious time with his baby. And he pretends not to be bothered by it, even when the kid flips him off from behind Tsireya’s back (oh eywa does he regret teaching him that), but Neteyam swears he catches him returning the gesture, even if he denies it.

Entwined Fates - Tsireya version
Pairing: Tsireya x gn!reader
Warnings: None
Words: 700
-> Requested by @dawncharacteristicrain
Tumblr media
As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky with hues of orange and gold, Tsireya and you sat together on the serene shore of Awa'atlu, your hands entwined, heads leaned against one another. The tranquil lapping of the waves was the only sound to break the stillness of the evening. You awaited the arrival of night, eager to submerge yourselves into the ocean's depths and seal your bond for eternity.
Your love for one another had blossomed from the moment your eyes first met. Two souls, effortlessly finding their way to each other, completing one another with a seamless grace. A love so pure, a moment's absence could upset the delicate balance of happiness.
Tsireya was dressed in traditional attire bedecked with beads and shells, her black hair dancing in the breeze. Her eyes, alight with excitement and joy, sparkled like diamonds. You, similarly dressed in the colors of your ancestral clan, stood by her side, equal parts proud and in awe of the beauty that was your future mate.
Though your love for each other was evident, you couldn't shake off a sense of nervousness. But as the time approached, Tsireya held your hand even tighter, lacing her fingers through yours and leading you to the water's edge. The radiance of her smile lit up her face, and her eyes sparkled with the love she had yet to give.
"Are you ready to bond with the ocean?" she whispered softly, her voice carried by the wind. You nodded, and together you plunged into the shimmering, crystal-clear waters, teeming with life. As you descended deeper into the ocean, a peace settled over you, and Tsireya glided beside you, her movements as graceful as those of a mermaid.
There, in a hidden world of lush vegetation, lay the heart of the spiritual bond that united the Na'vi of the water with the goddess Eywa. You both ventured deeper into the ocean, the world around you was cast in an ethereal glow. The water was a canvas of crystal clarity, and the towering rocks were adorned with vibrant hues of coral and seaweed, as schools of fish danced amongst them, making the scene almost otherworldly.
Tsireya took your hand, leading you towards the heart of the ocean's connection - the spiritual tree, its trunk aglow with a soft blue radiance. Approaching its base, a warm and comforting energy enveloped you, filling you with a sense of peace and reverence.
Your steps brought you closer to each other, as if drawn by an unseen force. Your eyes locked and a spark ignited between you, a moment suspended in time. Your queues reached out towards one another, tenderly intertwining in a dance of unity.
With your eyes closed, you surrendered to the connection between you, feeling it grow and blossom like a flower in the sun. The sensations that flowed between you were electric, and you felt your bodies warm with the joy of the bond. It was as if you could feel each other's soul through the very fibers of your being, connection unlike any other.
The world around you disappeared and you were enveloped in a cocoon of intimacy, where only you and your beloved existed. You could sense each other's emotions, fears and desires, and it was a comforting and reassuring feeling, like coming home.
The two of you basked in the beauty of the moment, as your queues intertwined in a sacred dance of love and unity. Time seemed to stand still as you gazed into each other's eyes, each one reflecting the depth of emotion that lay within.
"We found each other," you both whispered in unison, knowing that the bond you forged was unbreakable.
With tender embraces, you felt your hearts beat as one, the connection between you a testament to the fact that you had found your soul mate.
"Together we stand," you said, breaking the embrace and gazing into Tsireya's eyes, filled with happiness and bliss.
"United by love," she replied, her smile radiating the joy that filled her soul. You both turned to the Tree, offering a prayer of thanks to Eywa for bringing you together.

So I was reading ao’nung x reader fanfics and like I came up with an idea that was stuck to my head ever since. So like there’s a sound on TikTok where it’s like : “you’re not good enough for my daughter and I don’t want you to be around her, end of story” …..”so why don’t you give me one last chanc-“ but on ao’nung x sully!reader where she’s like younger than neteyam and Lo’ak, she’s the kind of girl who can be strict but gentle at the same time, help her grandma and mom to make food, heals, the type of girl that dads would be like “girls like you shouldn’t be bla bla bla” the type to walk grandmas on the cross way, type to open a bakery by herself and call it the Sully’s Family Bakery 💀 . So ao’nung wanted to court the reader but Jake, Neteyam and Lo’ak aim buying it so ao’nung had to come with some Metkayina specialty and gifts and maybe even fruitier a song 💀 but Jake is just a protective dad and it turned down to reader scolding 4 dudes who’s like almost twice her size about how she’s mature enough to know who would treat her right and stuff and kiri, Tuk and neytiri is just enjoying the scene 💀

Ao'nung x Sully!Reader[Word count: 2.8k]
Ask and you shall receive- This is me ditching my written reports to feed all of you <33 Thank you so much for requesting anon!
Warnings: Nothing notable! Please do inform me if there is!
Ao’nung has never really known what it means to be alive.  He never faced any oppression nor any hardship of notable difficulty due to his social status.  Being the son of the olo’eyktan entails so much prestige, but he’s never really known how to live.  Not until he met you.
The moment you were born, you have always known the dangers of living.  Having been born into a family with warrior parents, who were both victims of war, evident pain is still visible in their eyes.  You were Jake Sully and Neytiri te Tskaha Mo'at'ite’s third child, their first-born daughter after they decided to call Grace’s daughter, Kiri, their very own.  Growing up as the daughter of the Toruk Makto and olo’eyktan of the Omatikaya meant bearing the horrors of reality that the na’vi have been facing for years.  Your father was deemed responsible for leading the forest people into many victories against the sky people, along with your mother and the former olo’eyktan, Tsu'tey te Rongloa Ateyitan, one of the finest warriors that the omatikaya clan who was known for leading the na’vi against the RDA forces in the assault on The Tree of Souls.
“I tried to kill your father the first time we met.”
Having been born into Jake Sully’s family meant so much more than being a warrior’s child.  Your childhood was filled with love.  Your older brothers, Neteyam and Lo’ak, complete polar opposites but are both very protective of their younger siblings.  Neteyam, the finest candidate for the next olo’eyktan, the one who obeys to live up to expectations and earn the title of being a mighty warrior, and Lo’ak, the older brother who gets into so much trouble  to try and live up to expectations, most protective of you, but incomparable to your father, who acts as both armor and bow against the dangers of the world.
You grew up being taken care of by your older sister Kiri, befriending nature through her imaginative mind and immense affinity for connecting herself with the things that surround her.  Your family always knew that there was something special going on between Kiri and the world itself.  As if she’s connected to the things you see everyday, she would always see things from a perspective that you would assume Eywa would have.
The scientists were not the only people left in Pandora.  You have also been introduced to Spider, a human child that was too young to be put through the cryo chambers.  He has greeted each of you as friends, and you do the same with him.  Despite your mother’s distaste in his presence, she couldn’t really do anything, for you and your siblings loved him as you would a friend.  You thought he was a strong person.  Someone you look up to, because he always seems to overcome his limitations as a human.
It wasn’t long before Tuktirey was born.  The most adorable sister you could ever have, although a bit of a telltale, much to your brother’s chagrin, she was loved by the whole family.  She looks like a bit of your father, and a bit of your mother.  Tuk practically looks like a mix of your parents.  You love it when she would play with your braids.  But most of all, you love it when she would turn to you for more stories and dreams that you would have, carrying the innocent curiosity that a child like her would have.
You loved your siblings.  You really do.
But right now?  Things are just being so ridiculous.
“No, you cannot court my sister, Ao’nung,” Neteyam shook his head firmly, placing a protective arm in front of you, attempting to shield you from your suitor.  There your brother was again.  He’s having one of those stingy fits where he would deprive you and your lover of spending time together.  Apparently, there was this thing called ‘codes’, where you cannot see your friend’s sister in a romantic way.  The idea of it was ridiculous for you.
Really.
“Brother, you cannot have a say in this.  You are not the one who is being courted,” you pushed his hand away, flashing a bashful smile at Ao’nung, being enraptured by his viridian eyes.  Your eyes were swirling with love and a mix of nervousness as they met those of Ao’nung’s, only to be interrupted by Neteyam.  “You are not to be courted by him (y/n), that is final.”
Just what bad deed have you done to deserve this?  You obeyed your elders, went to hunt when told to, helped your fellow na’vi when being asked for help, learned healing, and healed others.  Eywa!  You even learned to cook many dishes after hearing your grandmother complain about how the food being prepared is becoming bland, if it were not for her cooking teylu.  You would always say yes to anything that your family asks of you.
You always thought that you would not be able to say no to your family.  Maybe there are things that do surprise you.  Just like how your brother Lo’ak, is hissing at Ao’nung at this very moment.
“What is going on?” you ran towards the direction of the two young men, carrying firewood that your mother had asked you to fetch for her.  There, you found your older brother hissing at your friend, for an unknown reason that somehow, you didn’t want to know.  Therefore, being the most resourceful person in the scene, you opted for the firewood, pushing them in your brother's arms and pulling him away from the metkayina boy.  “I am sorry Ao’nung, we will see you tomorrow!”  With a sweet smile on your lips, how could Ao’nung complain?  A boy who’s as smitten as him could never go against your wishes to stop the fight before it escalates.  Ao’nung’s head always tends to tell him to go big or go home, but right now, that saccharine smile was his priority.  He wouldn’t take the risk and make you cry, no.
He would rather battle a hundred akula than do that.  He vowed to protect you after all.
Even from himself.
But that one just seemed impossible.  He feels Eywa whispering to him that you are his muntxate.
He sees you as someone he would spend the rest of his life with.
Arriving at your marui, you sighed at your father’s questioning gaze after just seeing you drag your older brother back, as if he was asking just what trouble he got up to.
“What is it this time, Lo’ak?”  He crossed his arms, tapping his left foot in impatience.  You squinted at your father, knowing how he’d react if he knew he was in a disagreement with Ao’nung.
“Dad, I found him hissing at Ao’nung again–!” “You telltale–  I knew that bastard had a bad influence on you!” Lo’ak hissed, his tail swaying back and forth with betrayal written on his eyes.  You scoffed, side-eyeing him for a second before facing your father with pleading eyes.
“Bravo Zulu–” “Dad!” you yelled in disbelief, your jaw dropping when your father shook Lo’ak’s hand with pride evident on his face, menacing grins both on their faces.  You could feel a migraine turning into aneurysm when your eldest brother entered the marui, “Dad, you wouldn’t believe Ao’nung– Oh, you’re here baby sis!”  He chuckled nervously once he noticed your small figure in front of his father.  You responded with a glare, crossing your arms at the three men towering over you who take pleasure in making Ao’nung suffer.
Clearing his throat, Neteyam puts a hand on your shoulder, coaxing you out of the pod, telling you that he has something to share with your father and Lo’ak.  Refusing to be excluded in a conversation you knew was going to be about how they were going to torment the metkayina you love, you stood your ground and bore your fangs, something that you did very seldom towards your family.
“No.”
Neteyam squinted at you in return, turning to your father for help, instantly getting his support in a matter of a few seconds.  “Yeah babygirl, we really need to talk about that trouble tailing your shadow every minute of the day, ‘kay?”  Your father said, giving you a smile of reassurance and pressed a kiss on your forehead that did not faze you, even for a bit.  Fate seems to be on your father’s side as you heard your mother calling for you in the background.  You groaned in annoyance, rubbing a palm on your face causing Lo’ak to snicker at you, “Oh yeah sis, best get moving before mom gives you a whooping huh?”
You’d definitely get back at him when the time comes for him and Tsireya.
Bearing no choice in the matter, you were forced to evacuate your home and walked towards the direction of your mother.
Your brothers and your father on the other hand, were having the time of their lives imparting their knowledge about your suitor and what they would be doing whenever they would see the boy approach you.  They have devised ‘the most sneaky’ plans to make Ao’nung back out in his courting, but were not able to deduce that the said young man was actually on his way to their pod as they were conversing with each other, bringing them to this very moment.
“I would like to court your daughter, sir.  She is as beautiful as the ocean, and her whole being might as well be my sustenance as I cannot imagine life without her.”
The na’vi are known to be spiritually connected to Eywa, singing and dancing is embedded in their hearts.  So no one could really blame Ao’nung when he broke into a song.
“I want to court your daughter,” he started, undulating notes while clenching his fist.
His eyes meet Lo’ak’s and then Neteyam’s, going back to Jake’s, “I know you don’t think I ought to.”  He smiled, reminiscing his earliest memories with you, a smile tugging at his lips, “I’m not bad, I’m a great guy you’ll see,”
“I think that you should be–”
They were all sitting on the marui, silence overtaking when Jake suddenly slammed a hand on the floor, hiding his face from view, until Lo’ak burst into fits of laughter, wheezing at Ao’nung his father and Neteyam following suit.  Ao’nung chose to ignore Lo’ak’s outburst, pursing his lips in deep contemplation.  He would definitely get him back for this when he asks his parents to court Tsireya.  Ao’nung licked his lips out of nervousness, seeking validation from your father’s eyes.
“I’ll be honest Ao’nung.  I don’t care if you're the goddamn chief’s son,” Jake straightened his posture, emphasizing that he was much mightier than Ao’nung was at the moment, he was Toruk Makto for god’s sake.  “You’re not good enough for my daughter, and I don’t want you around her, end of story.”
Ao’nung winced at Jake’s statement, his insecurities taking over his mind.  He was the mightiest hunter in the clan that’s for sure, but who’s to say that you were looking for a hunter?  A na’vi as charming and lovely as you is sought by most men.  He would know because you were much like his sister, whom he finds himself being protective of, most of the time.
“With all due respect JakeSully, I understand why you are being protective of her.  I have a sister myself, and might I remind you, your son desires to court her too–  So why don’t you give me one last–”
“Get outta here.”
He sang his heart out, yet he still got denied?
Does Eywa hate him?  Ao’nung immediately mutters an apology after thinking that way, his mind going in circles as he thought about his options.  Then he remembered, go big or go home.  Of course the answer to his problems has always been inside of him.
And so, Ao’nung prepared all sorts of things that he could give to show you and your family that he’s a good provider.  He foraged in the morning, hunted in the afternoon, twisted the most intricate design he could do on a necklace.  This very process went on and on for days.  He figured that he would rather put his feelings into action than waste his time bumping shoulders with your brothers to convince them to let him see you.  He knew that they would be as stubborn if he didn’t show them what he could do.
His preparation did not go over five days, eager to please you in a matter of short time.  He wants to prove himself and he will.  After putting his gifts into baskets, he asked Tsireya to come with him in an attempt to distract Lo’ak and avoid disruptions from him.  His sister was aware of the Sully brothers’ antics and pitied her own brother, giving him a nod of agreement and took one of the baskets to carry towards the direction of your home.  He carried in his left arm the biggest catch he could find that day to offer to your family, along with numerous baskets balancing on his right arm.
It didn’t take long until he reached the opening of your marui, catching the whole family on the floor, preparing dinner.  He carefully placed the baskets on the side of the marui and kneeled before the entrance, making you raise your eyebrow at the sudden gesture.  Your heart soared when you heard him speak, “Yawntu, I ask for permission to extend this gesture as the beginning of our courtship,” his voice growing smaller as he went on, “So, I offer you this necklace as a promise of love and declaration of commitment to you and only you..”
He pulled out a smaller basket from the satchel he was carrying, presenting you with the most exquisite necklace you have ever seen, precious stones attached to both ends of the fang in the center.  You could feel your face heating up, getting nudged by your mother, with Kiri snorting at the corner as soon as she laid her eyes on your flushed face, and Tuk, she was giggling on your mother’s lap, casting a knowing grin at you.
“I accept–”
“No. no. no.”  Jake immediately interjected the proposal, standing up from his position, towering over Ao’nung in a matter of seconds, effectively making Ao’nung feel intimidated, his tail swishing in newfound threat, whilst your father’s was flicking from left to right, the end of his tail dragging on the floor to display his protectiveness over you.  Proving to be your father’s sons, Neteyam and Lo’ak copied him, standing behind their father, hissing at your suitor.
You have prayed to Eywa that she would somehow bless you with everlasting patience, but perhaps she simply does not want to show mercy to your father and older brothers.
As if Kiri, Tuk and Neytiri were anticipating what was going to happen, they all huddled up together in one corner, deciding to watch things unfold.
“Yes, I accept.”  You said with gritted teeth, walking towards the entrance, your tail in full display as it seemingly found vigor from all the pent up anger that you have been feeling ever since your brothers found out about Ao’nung’s plans to court you.  Your mother’s smile widened in pride as she saw you display protectiveness over the mate you wanted to choose.  You glared at your father, walking in front of Ao’nung to shield him from their gaze.
“This is my life, and I will find a mate for myself,” you said, “I have been nothing but compliant my whole life, and I will not break that streak by not following my heart!”
The three tall men feet taller than you gulped, their ears flattened at your dilated pupils and snarl, currently afraid for themselves.  You momentarily turned at Ao’nung, smiling at him sweetly and showed him your neck, gesturing for him to put on the necklace that he had assembled for you, earning angry hisses from your father, making you huff, unfazed by his threats.
“I will rip your throat into shreds if you so much hurt a single hair on–”  “Ma’Jake.”
“Oh no, dad we are not done yet,” you crossed your arms, making Jake look away in defeat.  Neteyam chuckled at his father’s surrender, making you raise an eyebrow at your brothers, “The two of you have a lot to explain as well.”  “We do?” Neteyam frowned, making him elbow Lo’ak.  “Damn sis, I have a good reason for–”  “No you don’t!  You are in the middle of asking Tsireya to be her mate too!”
As if on cue, they all sat before you simultaneously, their tails tucked between their legs.  They could only wince at your words, a flurry of apologies thrown at Ao’nung, making you raise your nose up at your brothers and father, threatening them that if they so much treat your suitor badly again, you would find a way to live in a separate marui with Ao’nung.
And they knew to take your words seriously.

the lost sully
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
synopsis: there was one rule…
pairings: sully family x sibling!reader
warnings: angst no comfort
word count: 1.3k
a/n: i'm taking a hiatus. Idk for how long but i will not be posting or responding to anyone or anything unless we are mutuals and i’ve told you what happened. Please don't pry all i will say is someone very close to me died today. this will be the last thing i post for a while so sorry if its halfassed.
Tumblr media
"now they'll never find me," you said as you laughed, feeling the rush of the wind blowing on your face. you had broken the only rule you and your siblings had when playing hide and seek.
no ikrans
you figured it wouldn't be a problem because you knew the forests like the back of your hand and weren't going far anyway. you spotted a clearing near high camp where neteyam was counting, giving you guys 20 seconds to hide around the nearby area. you, on the other hand, were feeling daring today. you hadn't won a hide-and-seek game in years, and your siblings continuously rubbed it in your face.
of course, as you guys grew up, you had less and less time to play games, but recently, with you finally completing your rites, you were able to hang out with your siblings more. you would find yourself tagging along with lo'ak, kiri, and neteyam when they went to hang out with other na'vi your age.
thinking about your siblings made you laugh as you finally settled into your hiding spot. you were hiding inside a log in the clearing you had found earlier, waiting for your eldest brother to find you. you placed your palms flat on each other, facing the ground, and rested your face on your hands, allowing them to act as a pillow as you drifted off to sleep, knowing you would be the last one found. a little victory nap wouldn't hurt.
you would rest here amongst the flora and fauna of your home. a little fan lizard scampered into the log, snuggling up to you, seemingly joining your nap. then you felt another running up the back of your leg, coming up to cuddle into the small of your back. you giggled as a few more gathered around you, packing into your little hiding spot. you loved moments like this. moments that you could share with the fauna that eywa has blessed your home with.
much like kiri, you were very in touch with the great mother, but while kiri leaned more toward the flora, you were more in tune with the animals of pandora. always being able to steer away an angry mama palulukan rather than having to fight. you sighed as you felt sleep consume you. who knew sleeping in a log would be so comfortable? was the last thought to cross your mind before you allowed your dreams to consume you.
Tumblr media
waking at the sound of an ikrans screech was startling, to say the least. unfortunately, you forgot where you fell asleep, so when you jumped up, you hit your head pretty hard against the top of the log.
"OW- ow. oh my god, ow…." you whimpered out, being in so much pain that the only thing you could do was just sit there and process what the actual fuck was happening. so much was happening so fast that you didn't have a moment to collect yourself. your blood was rushing thanks to your little alarm clock, so you slipped your body halfway out the log, looking up at your ikran, txep, with a glare. he returned your look with a mischievous glare of his own.
"oh, you think it's funny." you sneered at your companion. he screeched in response as if he was antagonizing you.
"well, i'm glad you do because now we're both gonna have a headache while flying back, you skxawng." you groaned as you pulled the rest of your body out the log, wincing as you stretched. you brought your hand to the back of your head, which was now a dull pain. you decided to sit down for a second to give yourself a minute to gather.
and then everything came back to you, the hide and seek game, your ikran ride, your "victory nap"...
you looked to the sky, wincing as you noticed it's been eclipse for a while now.
mom and dad are gonna kill me…
you were honestly scared. you were never one to get into huge trouble like your brother lo'ak, but you knew that you would definitely be getting into huge trouble when you got home. you sighed as you stood and looked over at your ikran, still coddling the back of your head.
"come on. let's go home," you said as you made tsaheylu and mounted your saddle. txep made soft noises of uncomfortability as he now felt the effects of your pain through the bond.
"sorry, buddy, but you can only blame yourself here." you managed a laugh in times of grave fear. taking off in the direction of home, you knew you were only 5 minutes away from the scolding of a lifetime. at least, you thought you were until 5 minutes turned into 20. then suddenly, 20 minutes became 40, and 40 minutes became an hour. you felt like you were flying in circles. you couldn't find high camp, your headache worsened, and your vision blurred. txep could barely fly straight.
you decided it would be best to land somewhere to avoid getting hurt while flying around with an injury like this. the time between when you were in the air and landed on the ground was a blur. but as soon as your feet touched the ground, you passed out. the exhaustion and pain was too much.
Tumblr media
as you awoke again, you heard strange sounds disrupting your sleep. you groaned, assuming it was your brothers messing with you, but once you opened your eyes, you saw a roof above your head. but the architecture isn't that of the omatikaya, and the air smelled of salt water and sea life. you shielded your eyes as you were met with the sun gazing through a… window?
"oh, thank eywa, you are awake. my mother began worrying when you had not woken up after a week."
A WEEK?!?!
she noticed the panicked look on your face and quickly settled beside you, rubbing your shoulders as a comfort method.
"do not worry. you are safe. your ikran is safe. you had a head injury and were passed out on an island just outside the reefs. i am going to ask you some questions. is that okay?" the girl asked. she had teal skin, and her arm, legs, and tail were thicker than your own.
"what is your name?" she spoke softly like she didn't want to scare you.
"y/n," you replied, barely above a whisper. you didn't even feel your mouth move.
"hi, y/n. my name is tsireya. how old are you?"
"i'm 13. i just got my ikran… i just completed my rites… i–" your voice was shaking.
"hey, y/n, it is okay. i just have one more question for you," she said as she continued to comfort you. you sighed, not wanting to speak anymore as your reality came crashing down on you.
you don't know where you are.
you had broken the only hide-and-seek rule you guys had, and now you're lost. stranded on the islands of pandora, not knowing how to get home
"do you know where you are?" you didn't respond as you felt your tears escape the corners of your eyes. whimpers and sobs creep out of your throat as you shake your head in response to her question. she sighed, her ears pinned to her head as she could only feel sad for you.
she decided to lay down, holding you in her embrace until she felt your breathing even out. she wigged herself out of the cot you were lying on as she left the pod. tsireya assumed that you had fallen asleep, but she was wrong. the second she left, your tears returned tenfold, but you managed to hold in your sobs. your thoughts were loud in your mind, but one sentence silenced them all.
one sentence that had intensified your cries, now having to use the cushion under your head to muffle your cries.
now they'll never find me.

KINKTOBER:Day 9 Accidental Stimulation W/ Lo’ak
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Warnings: Lo’ak being an asshole in the beginning, cursing, p in v, creampie.
Synopsis: Everyone around the clan stayed away from you in fear of getting hurt. You were clumsy, everything you touched was destroyed. So when you ask Neteyam for help with your iknimaya, the conversation doesn’t go as planned when lo’ak steps in.
Mdni🔞
You were what was known as “instant karma.” Everything you touched, you destroyed. You were just…really clumsy. So much so that everyone in the clan avoided you at ALL costs. It really started to hurt your feelings, not having any friends, or anyone to talk to. You really tried to be less clumsy, but nothing worked. And it made sense as to why you hadn’t completed your iknimaya, as much as you tried. It was hard for you. Especially since the last time when Jake had to catch you before plummeting to your death.
As hard as this task was, you weren’t one to give up, or quit. You were determined to pass this. And who better to help you than the future olo’eyktan? So when you saw him, his younger brother and his other friends conversing, you thought it would be the perfect opportunity to talk to him. Walking up to them, you could already sense a shift in their demeanors. All looking more frightened at your presence. But you were determined to walk out of this conversation without any casualties.
“Hey boys.” You spoke. Your voice sweet like honey and smooth like molasses. You were hot, no doubt about that. You had full hips, nice sized breasts, a small waist, and beauty to die for. However, you were just….so fucking dangerous, LITERALLY. They collectively took a step back from you before sighing a weak “hey” in response. You took a moment to smile before turning your attention to Neteyam.
“Teyam, can I talk to you for a moment?” You asked, fiddling with your fingers. His eyes widened, giving you a shady smile. “Uhh.” He started before grabbing lo’ak, placing his younger brother infront of him to act as a Shield. “Sure. Go ahead!” He spoke with alittle more enthusiasm this time. All of his friends began to chuckle amongst eachother, but lo’ak wasn’t having it.
“Bro, no way! I’m not getting kicked in the nuts again.” Lo’ak protested, shifting to neteyam’s side. A fair trade, If anything happened, they’d BOTH get it. You rolled your eyes, before shifting your body weight to one side. “I apologized for that already.” You pointed at lo’ak, hissing at him. “Yeah? It’s happened 7 times, clumsy bitch.” He rebuttaled, hissing back at you. His friends laughing in the background. Neteyam was guilty too, a small smirk appearing on his lips that he tried to wipe away.
You were usually one to stand up for yourself, everyone knew that. So it took lo’ak by surprise when your bottom lip started to quiver and tears began to well in your eyes. Your ears were flat to your skull, and your tail was now at a standstill. Your soul had been crushed. Not because he called you a bitch, but just EVERYTHING all at once. It hurt your feelings to know that everyone was against you.
Lo’aks demeanor softened greatly, watching a single tear trickle down your cheek. Maybe he took it too far this time. But before he could fix his mouth to apologize, you were turning away to walk off. “Oh, y/n! come on, he didn’t mean it! He’s a fucking idiot, you know that!” Neteyam shouted at your disappearing frame. “Y/n, im sorry! Come back, please!” Lo’ak shouted, watching you walk away. Both brothers sighed. “Go fucking apologize!” Neteyam muttered through gritted teeth as he slapped his brother on the back of the head. “Ouch! Fuck you! You laughed!” Lo’ak clapped back, pushing Neteyam in the chest.
“I did NOT dumbass! Go make sure she’s ok!” Neteyam hissed, pushing lo’ak in your direction. He stumbled a bit before gaining his composer. A loud groan rumbled in his chest as he began to follow behind you. You finally made it to your hut, a good cry on the way there. Boys were so stupid. And MEAN! but you wouldn’t let what lo’ak said ruin your entire day. After all, you weren’t done with your daily chores. You still had to take mo’at the paint that you made for your friends “rite of passage” ceremony. You were so happy for your friends, yet you still felt left out.
You grabbed the bowl full of paint, and began walking towards the exit of your hut. Unfortunately, lo’ak was walking in as you were walking out, and well….you know the rest.
His stomach, loincloth, and legs were PAINTED with the thick mixture. Lo’ak wasn’t a patient man, but it seemed as if he was trying his best to hold it together. His jaw was clenched, eyes shut, and deep heavy breaths escaped his flared nostrils. “I-I am so sorry lo’ak! I didn’t see you!” You rambled, shaky hand covering your agaped mouth.
“It’s fine, it’s fine. Just— do you have a towel I can borrow, y/n?” He spoke, in a surprisingly calm tone. You nodded frantically, running to get him a towel. When you were running back to him, you slipped on the paint, colliding with him. You both fell hard, a loud thud shaking the entire hut. Lo’ak let out a loud grunt at the impact, you falling directly ontop of him, nearly knocking the wind out of his lungs.
“Lo’ak I-“ you began, before he cut you off. “Bro, j-just get off of me!” He commanded, shuffling to get you off of him. “I-Im sorry, J-Just give me a- ugh!- give me a second!” You struggled, trying to sit up on him. You both were struggling, the paint making everything slippery and sticky. It was a mess, and it was all your fault.
You were finally able to use his chest to sit up on him, both of your sticky thighs caging his hips in. You were trying to lift off of him completely, but he just wouldn’t stop moving under you. Trying so desperately to thrust you off of him.
“Can you s-stop? I’m getting up!” You whined, trying to use his chest to stand up again, but it was no use. Your hands were sticking to his skin, and the ground below was too slippery to stand properly with his stupid tantrum underneath you. “Get up NOW.” He growled, thrusting up one good time. So hard that you could feel his bulge rub against your clothed cunt. You didn’t mean to, but a broken whimper escaped your lips at the sensation. His ears flicked at the sweet sound, his tail tapping the ground beneath him. He haulted his movements, studying your flushed face for a moment.
“I-Im sorry if I hurt you.” He stuttered, a soft expression painting his face. His strong hands found your waist, trying to lift you off of him gently. But you weren’t having it, gracefully slamming your hips back down on him. “Shittt.” Lo’ak grunted, watching you intently. “Grab my hips. Please.” You spoke breathily, expertly untying your top. He obliged quickly, grabbing your hips as he watched you throw your top to the side. Your plump breasts bounced with every subtle move, and he couldn’t keep his eyes off of them.
You began to grind on him, nice and slowly. Rocking your hips back and forth to feel that addictive friction again. Your sweet mewls began to arouse lo’ak even more than he already was. Using this as an opportunity to rock you all by himself, speeding up the pace.“Ohhh My God.” You whined, arousal escaping your loincloth. You threw your head back, following his rhythm.
“Imagine how good I’d feel inside. Just say the word.” He spoke, his melodic tone finding its way to your core, a gush of slick squirting out at his words. You nodded lazily, giving him the “ok” to continue further. Your fingers found your loincloth, playing with the strings until it was loose. You pulled it from under you lazily, throwing it to the side. Lo’ak doing the same. His cock slapped his stomach, a thick line of precum oozing out of the tip.
The paint on your bodies and the floor was drying quickly, which made it easy for you to shift to your feet, squatting over his erect penis. He grabbed the base, while you began to slide down on him. Both of you moaning simultaneously as he bottomed out with a firm thrust upwards. You began to fuck him, hard. Like it was your damn job. His hands found the plush of your ass, smacking it a few times before thrusting up into you rhythmically.
“That feels so good, y/n. Ride this dick.” He groaned, biting his bottom lip as he watched your dripping cunt meet his pelvis with every thrust. The squelching sounds, skin clapping, and broking whimpers only stimulating him further. “Lo’aaak!” You cried, voice rippling from the forceful thrusts. Your head went limp, as your moans became louder. Your hands planted on his chest for stability.
“I know, baby. I know. Fucking this pretty pussy just right, hmm?” He asked in between heavy breaths, watching your face twist and turn in pleasure. “M-Mhmm!” You nodded, bouncing on him hard enough for your ass to ripple at the impact.
“F-Fuuuck. I’m sorry for- uhh a-ahh!- for calling you a bitch. I’m sooo sorry.” He moaned, throwing his head back against the ground, still bouncing you on his cock. You squealed, nodding as a way of saying I forgive you. “It’s ok! I-It’s ok! I-I’m sorry for hurting you all the time, lo’ak!” You whimpered, shifting to your knees, using the new position to work his cock in the best ways possible.
“Ohhh Yes. Yess baby, just like that. You’re making up for it right now.” He moaned, smacking your ass, gripping it tightly. “I-Im gonna cum, gonna cum lo’ak!” You whined, eyes rolling to the back of your head. Your body began to shake, squirts of your slick presenting itself with every earth shattering stroke.
“Ohhh God, yes. C-Cum on this dick, y/n. Please, baby. Please give it to me.” He whimpered, feeling your walls vibrate around his shaft. He watched your pussy squirt, quickly rubbing circles Into your clit to stimulate your trembling body further. You screamed his name, before collapsing into him. Your sweaty, trembling body snuggling into his warm chest.
“Mhm, I’m almost done, baby. Fuuuuuck.” He groaned, both of his hands shifting to your ass once again, gripping the plush skin to bounce you on his sensitive cock.
“I’m gonna cum, y/n. I-I know I don’t deserve this pussy. Not the way I’ve been treating you. B-But I need it, please.” He confessed in your ear before pecking it teasingly.
“Y-you can have whatever you want from me.” You hiccuped, wrapping your arms around his neck as he pounded into you. He let out a loud moan at your words, eyes crossing in pleasure as his mouth fell agape. And before he knew it, small squirts of cum turned into ropes and ropes of it filling your empty womb.
“Yeahhh, juuuust like that. Thank you, baby. Thank you s-sooo much.” He moaned, snapping his hips up into you periodically to empty himself inside of you. “Mhm.” You hummed, fluttering in and out of consciousness on his chest. “Finally, you made me feel GOOD.” He joked, rubbing your back lovingly as you cooed in his embrace.

BITTEN
summary: bitten by a mysterious fish, Y/N is rushed to the tsa'hik not without worrying the crap out of ao'nung first.
1.4k words, fem!sullyreader
──── ⑅*❀*⑅ ────
You had been swimming with your siblings along with Ao’nung and Tsireya since noon.  The sun now beginning to move slowly down the sky to reveal beautiful arrays of colours.
You had been talking with Kiri and Tuk. Well, listening to Tuk talk to you and Kiri, as she went on continuous blurbs of creatures she had become fascinated with.
“Tuk is it not time to see if mum needs help with dinner? It is your turn to help today.” Neteyam said to her as he noticed his sisters increasingly disinterested faces.
“Oh no! I forgot. I hope mummy isn’t mad.” Tuk let her little hands cover her mouth as Neteyam chuckled.
“She won’t be Tuk-Tuk I promise, come now we’ll see mum. Okay?” Neteyam looked at you both as you gave thankful smiles to him as he ran out of the water with Tuk.
Lo’ak turned to you both “I thought she was never going to shut up.” As the words left his mouth Kiri smacked him on the arm.
“Don’t tease her.” Kiri scolded as Lo’ak poked his tongue out at her.
“If all you guys are going to do is wade in the water, you will never learn to swim.” Ao’nung snickered behind your ear, a sneaky hand travelling behind to rest on your waist, your chest starting to warm up as your heartbeat faster instantaneously.
“Then take us swimming, not that hard.” Lo’ak scoffed, the rivalry between the two boys being apparent in every interaction they had. Kiri glared at him again, a reminder for Lo’ak to keep his father’s words in mind.
“Of course.” Tsireya chimed in before Ao’nung could snap back at the skinnier boy. She dived into the water her body creating small ripples in the surface as the rest of the group followed her motion.
It was peaceful, all of you moving through the water together. The coolness of the sea surrounding you as you kept your eyes occupied at the beautiful sights around you. The bright colours, abstract animals and immersive sounds of the ocean around you, it was just so utterly amazing to you.
That was until you met the dark side of the ocean.
The others were way ahead of you, your distraction leading to your loneliness in the big blue sea. You were so immersed with the school of bright yellow fish in front of you, you didn’t realise there was a larger fish coming up behind you.
The fish was the length of your calf and as wide as your torso it came up behind you, its eyes seeking food, the bright yellow fish that were in front of you. As you swayed to the movement of the fish, the larger predator grew impatient.
Its large mouth opening to reveal rows upon rows of sharp pointy teeth. Sinking into the flesh of your thigh blood immediately seeped out of you.
Your painfully loud scream not only scared the big and small fish away but also alerted the rest of the group who turned to see the water around you a bright red.
The pain was unbelievable. It felt as if your entire leg was debilitated about to tear from the rest of your body and sink down into the depths.
“Shit Y/N!” Lo’ak’s shout brought you back from your flickering reality. “Kiri help me bring her back! Hurry!” Kiri swam with urgency, her and Lo’ak holding your body to the top of the water as you cried in pain.
Ao’nung was oblivious to the whole ordeal. He was never one to stay with a group while swimming and just like you took off on his ilu part way through, why? Because he was bored, why else? He’s a teenage boy.
But the fear that was sent through his body like a shockwave when he saw your pained expression and blood-stained body made his heart drop through him.
He was urgent to ride his ilu quick to shore trying to catch up to your sprinting siblings that took you to his mother’s hut. “What happened to her! What has happened?!” He shouted in an attempt to make Lo’ak or Kiri hear him. He was desperate, any sense of being reasonable about his reaction was slowly slipping away from him as he heard your pained groans grow louder.
While he shouted incoherently Lo’ak and Kiri cried out for help as they reached the village. “Help! Y/N is hurt! Please help!” Kiri screamed out as her arms grew sore from carrying your body.
“What has happened?” Ronal asked in a calm tone ushering you to be brought to her tent as your parents came out of their tent.
Neytiri gasped loudly followed with a shriek. “My baby! My child what has happened!?” You couldn’t get any words out only cries and grunts of pain as Ronal inspected your bitten thigh.
“Everyone out! Now!” Ronal rushed all of the kids out, only keeping your parents in the tent as you breathed harshly every time she applied ointment to your wound.
Outside of the tent, Ao’nung had run up to the entrance only to be stopped by his Neteyam, a handout between the curtain and Ao’nung’s heaving chest. “Can’t go in. Tsa’hik orders.” Neteyam said sternly his eyes filled with concern as another pained groan was let out from the inside of the tent.
“C’mon let me in bro.” He pleaded. He wasn’t a beggar but the desperation was changing his normal thinking.
“I can’t, its just our parents in there.”
“For fucks sake! Bro I didn’t even see what happened to her just let me see her!” Lo’ak then turned to the two bickering men, your blood still on his hands.
“She was bitten, it had torn some of her leg out and left some teeth in her thigh. That’s why there was just so much blood.” Ao’nung felt sick to his stomach, he couldn’t have not strayed off for once? Now you were in writhing pain.
“Shit…” Neteyam muttered under his breath before being interrupted by another pained scream from you inside the tent. The sound of your screams made Ao’nung scrunch his fists together, trying to not lose his cool.
Inside Ronal was stitching up your wound, the venom from the teeth still seeping into you, not lethal at all just debilitating while the teeth were in you. She needed to close the major wound first, so Neytiri cradled your head in her lap as she wiped your constant tears as both dads paced around the tent.
Soon Ronal had finished, giving you some medicine to subside the pain. “You must rest now. Do not try to move, you must call someone.” Ronal stated as she left the tent to see her worrisome son staring up at her hopefully.
“Is she alright?” He asked, his entire body fidgety.
“Go see her.” Before Ronal could finish Ao’nung was inside the tent, staring awkwardly at Neytiri and Jake.
“I- uh…is Y/N doing okay?” He was nervous talking to your parents but as he looked down to your leg to see the wound he felt sick again, there was no way you were doing okay.
“Yes…I need to go check on Tuk….yes. So could you please take care of her for a moment?” Neytiri said as she got off the ground.
“Of course! Uhm.. I mean yes. Yes I’ll take care of her.” Jake looked harshly at the boy before leaving the tent with Neytiri. Ao’nung immediately dropped down to your level, his hand tucking the stray hairs laying on your face behind your ears.
“Y/N?” His voice was soft, careful not to cause you panic.
“Hi Ao’nung…” You sounded so weak it made his heart crack, he wished he could just take all your pain away, seeing the way your face would scrunch up whenever you moved slightly.
“Do you need anything? Water? Food?” He was on your side resting on his knees as his hands cradled your face.
“I want a kiss.”
“What.”
“Just a kiss, to kiss it better.”
“How can you be making jokes in this state? You need to rest.” Ao’nung laughed as you smiled up at him easing your face into his palm.
“Lay down with me please.”
“Of course.” He scooted next to you as you carefully moved to lay on his chest, letting out a small groan as your leg twitched. “Be careful Y/N.”
“Just let me sleep peacefully.”
“Sure.” He watched you shut your eyes, but noticed your hands busy fidgeting with the other. “Y/N? You’re not sleeping.”
“sleep. Kiss. Goodnight.” He scoffed at you, you were so cute even covered in blood and stitches. Leaning down, stretching his neck in an odd position he laid a soft kiss onto your lips. A kiss that would wake a sleeping beauty was the kiss given. Soft and delicate, just like you.
“There you go. Little miss needy.”
“Yup, your little miss needy.”

may I please request an enemies to lovers ao'nung x fem!metkayina!reader fic where reader ventures out beyond the reef with bestie tsireya in their rarely found free time in order to decompress from their stressful routines --- evident in readers duties of teaching the young many things like weaving and breathing, helping ronal collect medicinal resources, and tsireya being tsakarem. reader vents about ao'nung being a pain and how hard she's pining for him regardless and tsireya, being all knowing, tries to hint to reader about ao'nungs feelings. some more banter before reya rushes off to meet with lo'ak for their date. not long after tsireya leaves, readers gets attacked and badly injured in the leg by something (I can't think of anything 💀) and rushes back to awa'atlu riding an ilu, bleeding out, where ao'nung (previously training) takes notice of her limping out of the water barely conscious. ao'nung rushes to her, reader collapsing in his arms, ao'nung delivering a cutsie little panicked "don't worry, im not gonna let anything to happen to you, 'm gonna take care of you" just before readers loses consciousness 😝😝😝😝 perhaps some cutie fluffy tearful confessions after she wakes in ronals healing marui

“So, they hate each other?” Ewie asked curiously, her curiosity piqued as her gaze remained fixed on the two na’vi bickering aways from her and the tsakarem-to-be of her clan.
“...Not exactly,” Tsireya answered, grimacing.
She sighed, patting the little one’s back, who stood there confused and still staring, eyes wide as seashells. Tsireya knelt down on one knee atop the damp, warm sand, offering the little girl a reassuring smile as she reached out to place her hand to Ewie’s shoulder, encouraging her to meet Tsireya’s gaze. “Why don’t you go on and play with your friends now, Ewie? You can resume your lessons with [name] tomorrow,” she said softly, promptly turning her head to smile at Ewie’s friends who ran wildly across the coast, screaming and jumping joyously.
The little girl’s eyes brightened as she looked at her group of friends, one of the boys in particular waving her over to join. She let out a small excited squeal, her mind now totally torn away from the sight of you and aonung, running to join them. Tsireya smiled as she watched Ewie scamper away, leaving only the older girl and the ocean in her wake. For Tsireya, now was one of the calm moments that no one could take away from her.
She inhaled, the ocean breeze carrying a freshness that was tinged with the ancient salt of countless tides. Its age-old whispers danced through the air, brushing against her skin with a coolness that– if she concentrated enough, she could almost hear….yes…Eyw-
“You are an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE!” Your voice pierced through her thoughts, her ears flattening as she winced.
She whipped her head around to look at you and aonung in what seemed to be a private, yet full-blown war between the two of you, Aonung laughing in your face as you gave him a piece of your mind.
She let out a breath to calm herself. Happy thoughts…happy thoughts…she repeated in her mind as to not kick both you and her older brother in the back of the knees.
“Yet I still show up in your dreams every night, eh?” he smirked even wider at you (if that was even possible).
To that, you didn’t know whether you wanted to scream, cry, cringe, throw up, or shove a kick so far up his ass he would never be able to talk out of it again.
So you just stared at him silently, your silent screams bouncing off the insides of your body.
He towered over you, seemingly amused by your lack of response.
You hated that. Why did Eywa give the males the unfair advantage in vertical length? (the answer is cause they need it boo or else they’d cry themselves to sleep every night) If you wanted to meet his eyes you would have to give yourself a strained neck, compared to all the other boys your age.
“You…wish.” you said, internally groaning at the less-than-satisfactory response you gave him.
Should’ve been something kickass like “yeah, the haunting presence of your mediocrity,” but of course you’d only think about something like that far later, when it was way too late.
Tsireya walked towards the two of you, making sure to sigh mentally instead of in real life, bracing herself for whatever outlandish thing you two were bickering about now.
“Ah, sister, how kind of you to join us!” aonung raised his eyebrows slightly, “Would you kindly tell your friend here that she would absolutely not hold up in a battle between her and an Akula?”
Before Tsireya could even open her mouth, you scoffed.
“That is not what I said!” you seethed, crossing your arms. He had this tactic of taking whatever you were saying and twisting it so that he’d seem in the right at all times.
“I only said that I’ve been training for it, and I think that I could handle it! And also, that wasn’t even your conversation to listen in on!” and you didn’t want to admit that you were just trying to make yourself seem the teeniest bit more impressive to one of the younger kids you were teaching. In moderation of course!
*record scratch* (for all my lovely readers who’ve no idea/don’t remember what an akula is, that's the scary 3 jawed monster that practically almost killed our boy lo’ak. but that hasn't happened yet in this story)
Tsireya contained her urge to pinch the bridge of her nose, instead resorting to pinching aonung’s wrist, earning a ‘hey!’ from the metkayina while you smirked, satisfied with her response which was clearly a ‘i-don't-want-to-get-into-detail-about-the-topic-of-conversation-but-my-brother-is-incredibly-annoying-and-i-know-that-so-i’ll-just-do-this’ stance, but hey, at least it humbled the gargantuan himbo in front of you, even if by the smallest bit.
“[Name], how about we just get going?” she said, her hand rested on your shoulder, looking at you with an awkward smile.
“Great idea,” you smiled at her, willing to do anything to get away from the disproportionate frog.
Before you could even take a step away, he obviously had to get in his bit.
“Hey wait, where are you two going?” he looked at you both, confusedly.
This was strange for 1 reason.
Why the hell does he care??? He never cared before, so why does he care now???
You turned your head and gave him an annoyed look, while Reya, ever the peacekeeper, answered his question for you.
“We’re going beyond the reef. We want to see if we can catch a glimpse of the nrr payoang migrating for the season.” she said.
And even though she was the one who answered, he kept his eyes fixated on you for a solid extra few seconds, before finally switching to her. What in the motherfu-
“It’s optimal timing. Plus, this is one of the rare occasions where me and [name] are both free at the same time.” she said, smiling brightly. “It must be Eywa clearing the path for us.”
Right then, he smirked.
Oh no.
He was going to say something else to keep your blood above a healthy pressure, wasn’t he?
He looked at you again, and you felt your muscles tense. His mouth opened– no– here it comes– mayday, mayday!
BRACE FOR IMPACT!!!
“I also happen to be free. Can I come along?”
You felt yourself die.
“NO!” you said a little bit too suddenly. “Go find some other people to bother!” you turned on your heel and stomped away from the situation before he could burden your mind further, grumbling at the sheer audacity.
Tumblr media
“He literally insulted my capability of surviving like any normal metkayina could, and then he wants to “cOmE AlOnG?” Forget it!” you pressed a wrist into your left eye, trying to rid it of the image of the colossal amphibian as you rode on the ilu with Tsireya by your side, who was dipping gracefully above and below the water on her own ilu.
She emerged from the cerulean blue waves, her hair carrying beads of water in them, before she turned to look at you, back straightening.
“I think he just wanted to spend more time with you, you know.” she suggested, trying her damndest to hint to you what everyone else except literally the two of you could see.
“Ha! As if! The last time I tried to ask him something, he said “don’t talk to me, my people might think that we’re friends.” Like what? Who says that? WHY would he say that?” you started, your ramble being nothing new to your best friend, who only sighed as she dipped a hand into the water as her ilu moved her through it.
Together, you headed to the point where the glowing fish were most spotted, waiting above the water for any signs of movement as you continued on.
“And I do not like him at all, despite what that skxawng Neteyam might say. He’s annoying, loud, obnoxious, and the way he carries himself differently when I’m in the vicinity is dumb. Almost like he’s trying to make himself seem better than me! Who does he think he is, puffing his chest out like a-” hold on.
You went silent, backtracking.
Everytime Aonung noticed you were near, he stood up straighter than usual.
Your mind thought back to all those little moments in flashes. During training, at your cousin's coming-of-age ceremony, the harvest celebration, and today.
He constantly looks at you even if there are others around, but if you look back at him (more like glare), he looks away immediately.
He always initiates the conversation first, even if there’s nothing to talk about.
Okay hold on [name], none of this necessarily means that he likes you.
And then, your whole world came to a stop. You swear even the wind became silent, leaving only you and the sounds of the cool ocean water rippling against your body, the evening painting a blur of pinks and oranges in the sky.
As if she knew every bit of the revelation you just had, Tsireya, who was a little ways in front of you, turned her head, looking at the blank expression on your face.
Am I the one that likes him? you thought to yourself.
No. It couldn’t be. There was no way, no possible way, that this was happening.
“Reya?” you blurted out, your body (and your stupid mouth) acting on instinct.
I mean, she was your best friend. Obviously best friends have to tell each other about their crushes, right?
“I think I like-” you stopped yourself short as you looked at her face.
Her face, which was trying to hold back a smirk.
“Yes, [name]? Do continue?” she said, her tone a lot more singsong than you’d like it to be.
Perhaps telling your best friend that you had a crush on her literal BROTHER wasn’t the best course of action.
Fuuuuuuuuu–
“You know, if you like him, it’s totally alright with me.” she said, shrugging as she turned her head back to the front, smiling as she knew exactly what you’d say next.
“WHAT??” you screamed, startling your ilu, to which you whispered rushed apologies, soothing the back of its neck.
“I’m just happy you’ve finally realised it.” she said, still not turning back, acting as if this was the most normal conversation to have.
“Wha? Who???” you asked, suddenly getting the idea she was having the wrong idea.
“Neteyam.” she said, her tone sarcastic, but unfortunately you were too startled to catch on.
“Hah! You’re wrong, I do not like him.” you said, silently revelling in the relief that she didn’t catch on.
Oh [name]. Sweet, oblivious, [name].
“Yeah I know, that’s why you have a crush on my brother.”
To that, you completely stopped in your tracks, jaw slack open. She’s done it. She’s broken you.
She finally turned around, guiding her ilu to the left so as to block your track.
“He likes you too. And I think you know that already.” she smiled, narrowing her eyes mischievously.
‘For the love of all things good and beautiful, why was this happening to me?’ you screamed on the inside, not wanting to relent.
Okay, if you were denying it, then maybe you actually didn’t like him! Right??
Yeah. That was it. You were giving yourself the delusion of liking him, because he’s the one that liked you first and you felt bad for him, and that’s why you were only considering liking him back.
Wait, does he even like me? What??
“Okay, no, that’s not what I-” and just as you were starting to deny everything, because that was 100% the truth, Tsireya waved you off as she submerged her head in the water, already off her ilu.
You quickly realised what you were here for in the first place, hopping off and following suit, taking a deep breath before you dipped your head below the cool waves.
Deep below the two of you on the surface, you could see hundreds of bioluminescent jellyfish wading in one path, weaving through the floating rocks and plants, the vividness of the glowing colours acting as if a kaleidoscope in your vision.
You had to pull your head out from the water to take another breath, using your hand to push away some of your hair that decided to stick itself onto your face. You were absolutely stunned at the beautiful sight. It took your breath away, literally.
Dipping your head below the surface of the water once more, you decided with Tsireya to take a closer look. You dove your body forwards into the water, Reya following closely behind.
It was quickly becoming darker, night was falling and you knew it was time to turn back, but the jellyfish illuminated your surroundings almost mesmerizingly, as if pulling you into a beautiful vortex.
You hid your body behind a set of rocks, watching the jellyfish swim in their little path, smiling as you watched a small one lag behind the others before a bigger one pushed it forward, practically propelling it through the water as it sputtered around before finding its place again.
Tsireya, who was a little bit above you in the water, turned and dipped her body downwards to touch your shoulder, to signal that it was time to return to the surface and go home before it got too dark.
Her hand was a mere millimetre away from you when a sudden jolt of agony rips through your leg. It's as if a thousand needles pierce your flesh all at once, and panic surges, rising through your veins like wildfire.
Instinctively, you kick and thrash, but the unseen assailant's grip tightens like a vise, dragging you mercilessly downward. Darkness engulfs your senses and you're plunged into a void, robbed of sight and hearing, your lungs screaming for air..
You can’t even see Tsireya anymore, nor the prismatic glow of the jellies.
Bubbles erupt from your lips in frantic bursts, mingling with the surrounding darkness, further obscuring your already impaired vision. Each gasp for air feels like a futile struggle against the inevitable, your chest burning with the agonising need for oxygen. What is this? What is this that’s grabbing you? What is happening? The questions flood your mind and sear the corners of your vision as you're dragged deeper, darkness enveloping you fully.
With each passing second, your panic intensifies. You can't tell which way is up anymore. The ocean presses in around you, a suffocating weight. It’s still pulling you down.
Down…
..down…
and down…
In a last, thoughtless attempt, you reach out, fingers stretching toward the abyssal void, but there's nothing to grasp onto, nothing to anchor you in this sea of darkness. Panic tightens its grip around your throat, threatening to choke the life from your trembling body.
Desperation claws at your soul, pounding on your chest, as you realise the seconds are slipping away. Any moment now, and you’ll be dead. Any moment now, and everything you yourself have worked for, would be gone. You let yourself close your eyes. Maybe because of the weight of the void pushing onto your body, or maybe you’re tired from fighting this thing around your leg for Eywa knows how long. When you outstretched your hand you hoped that someone, anyone would pull you out of this..nothingness. You wanted it so badly you almost thought that he would. That he’d save you.
Your body jolts awake, only to find yourself in an unfamiliar place.
The cool, steady flow of the breeze unnerves you. It’s the first thing you notice besides the wild racing of your heart in your chest, your head whipping around in this empty space, trying to ascertain where you are. Is this Eywa? The place feels like a void, but it’s far different from the blackened one that suffocated your being. It feels calm. Peaceful. You can see the dark purple sky above you, glittering with stars and moons that you’ve never even seen about it. But it looks… strange.
Otherworldly. Like it is impossibly distant, yet so close to you at the same time. You kneel in an extraordinarily shallow pool of cool water, the surface reflecting the celestial display above you. Though it is rather shallow, like a puddle almost, it stretches endlessly into the horizon as far as your eyes can see it. As you look around, time seems to stand perfectly still.
It’s unnerving. Realising that you can, in fact, move your desensitised limbs, you slowly get up, your feet creating small ripples in the water. “Hello?” you call out.
Nothing except your own echo responds to you. Just then, you hear something in the distance. Like someone’s there, in the hazed distance. They’re close to you, then they’re unimaginably far away. What is that? “[Name]!” It’s calling out your name. How do you respond? A. Call out for help
B. Cry C. Curl up into a ball and give up D. Walk towards the source Just kidding, you don’t have a choice. As if your legs had minds of their own, you start walking towards the source. You can’t quite make out that voice. It changes every time you hear it, showing up in intervals of about 5-8 seconds of space in between. “[Name]?” Gosh, and the change in tone too. It’s filled with fear, then anger, then happiness, then…huh? “[Name]... I’m so sorry.” Sadness. The voice is filled with a type of sadness that almost stabs your chest. Regret. Guilt. So many emotions in this strangely familiar, choked-out voice. The voice continues sobbing, sniffling, but then it stops. Leaving you whipping around in the darkness, unsure of where to go. You turn around, then you slam face first into something really tough. “What the fuc-” your voice rings out, angered, in the void. Rubbing your nose, you look up. “What the fuck?” you whisper. It’s Aonung.
How delightful. But seriously, how de-fucking-lightful? Finally, another person in this endless, pitch black space of darkness. You almost want to scream. Of horror or joy, you’re not exactly sure, but you contain yourself, mostly due to the fact that he’s looking at you.
And he’s crying. Tears stream down his cheeks as he looks at you— actually, not quite you. His eyes aren’t exactly focused on yours, but they’re focused on…you. If that makes any sense at all. “Please wake up…” he croaks out.
And that voice! It was him. That depressing, bleak voice from before that was calling out your name. It was him. But why? And how?
You’re about to do something but then your heart jolts in your chest because he’s lifting up his right hand and cupping your cheek softly. Gently. Like the real Aonung would never do. This is some sick hallucination isn’t it? Oh gosh you actually went to hell, didn’t you? Before you realise it, he uses his thumb to wipe away a tear that somehow appeared on your face. You’re not crying. So what is this? What’s going o– NO. He’s leaning in. WHY IS HE LEANING IN? Fuck all “[NAME], DO SOMETHING!! YOU STUPID-” you scream at yourself, fighting your inanimate body. WHY COULDN’T YOU FUCKING MO- *SLLAAAAAPPPPPP!!!*Now you’re scrambling to your feet on what you realise to be the sickbed of Ronal’s healing tent, your hand stinging after delivering the most horrible sounding slap you have ever slapped…
…to the side of Aonung’s, now incredibly shocked, and incredibly offended, face.
Tumblr media
Ronal sighed, but the remnant of a smirk lingered still on her cheeks, avoiding both you and Aonung’s gaze. “There you go, [name]. Next time, you should be much more careful,” she said softly, her hands leaving the cooling bandage now wrapped around your still aching leg and extending to your ankle, a sore reminder of whatever the hell it was that you experienced the night before.
You sat on a woven hammock, propped up by the trees that supported the healing tent. Ronal stood in front of you, “I am grateful that Aonung was there to help,” she said, turning towards the discombobulated walking-disease she called her son, who had a big bandage over his cheek, glaring down at you. She grabbed Aonung’s ear, pulling his body over very clearly painfully, making him yelp in pain with incoherent pleas of ‘ma’ and ‘please’  coming from his lips.
“What in Eywa’s name were you thinking? Trying to kiss a girl while she’s injured and unable to say anything about it! You are lucky that she slapped you first, or else you would not live to see another day if I had anything to do with it! My son, you are many things, but you are not an idi–” she scolded, promptly dragging him out of the marui still by his ear to deliver his well-deserved punishment outside, an amused smile making its way onto your face. Sigh, justice.
But okay, the incredulity of the day, of course, has not worn down on you.
Tsireya came rushing into the tent with a bowl of…whatever, her face the guiltiest it’s ever been. It kinda made your heart hurt. “[Name], I am so, so, so sorry!” she said, kneeling down by your hammock and taking your hand in between hers. “As soon as I heard you were awake I rushed over,” she quickly mumbled, grabbing a rag and dipping it into the bowl and pressing it over your forehead gently, “I am so sorry for yesterday, I never should have suggested going there, let alone–”
Oh, here we go… It’s the Tsireya cycle, you call it. Whenever something goes wrong, she infinitely feels bad as if it’s her fault that something nearly killed you.
She kept on rambling, trying to explain herself, but all you did was squeeze her hand tighter. She stopped, looking at the small smile on your face. “Hey, no harm done Reya. I’m fine, you see?” you reassure her, the small beads of water gathering under her eyes slowly going away as she blinked rapidly, containing herself as best as she could. She couldn’t say anything, although words were at the tip of her tongue. You could see she was struggling to add something, but she finally relented, settling for a gentle hug. “I’m glad,” she smiled.
Okay, now it was time to figure out what the hell happened. “So…who saved me?” you asked her, using your arms to prop you up a little bit higher on the hammock. “Well, it’s a long story. Aonung kind of…followed us to see the nrr payoang. He was planning to surprise us, he said.”
what
“He said he saw us, and as he was swimming down he saw you get pulled down by the creature. He dove in immediately and saved you.” she offered a small smile, like anything she was saying was making sense at the moment.
The only thing that came into your mind was the blaring red siren that screamed “STALKER! STALKER! STALKER!” but unfortunately, the pufferfish on legs had just saved your life so you were probably going to have to shut up about that for a while.
Woah. He just saved your life, [Name], shouldn’t you be more grateful? Maybe hug him? Maybe-
NO! Inner thoughts, shut up. Nobody likes you.
Tsireya turned around in response to the sound of someone being pushed through the entrance to the healing tent.
Aonung.
Wait nonononono Tsireya please don’t get up please don’t leave me here with him he looks like he’s about to kill me please
Aaand she’s gone.
He took a pained breath, as if what he was going to do next was going to bruise him for the next couple centuries or so, sitting cross legged beside your, now that you realise it, very lowly hung hammock.
You were positive the look on your face wasn’t very inviting.
“I’m sorry,” he finally said.
You had half a mind to burst out laughing because you were the one that had to get saved in the middle of the deep dark ocean. But he did violate you so obviously you weren’t going to do that, it was well deserved. A non-consensual move is still a non-consensual move.
“For the record, I only wanted to….” he basically whispered the next word, “kiss” (you felt your whole body cringing and twisting and turning on the inside and screaming to be let go from this horrible situation) “the top of your head.”
Oh.
‘kayyyy… that makes it the tiniest bit better.
Still not forgiving though.
“I’m sorry too.” you said to him, your eyes now avoiding his face. Damn, did you slap him good.
He let out a small smirk. Oh no, you slapped his smirking cheek. You could see him wince in pain a bit before he stopped his expression abruptly.
“For what? I mean besides the slap. I deserved that. Although, I have no idea how you knew-” his eyes widened, stopping mid-sentence.
“Were you pretending the whole time?” he asked, eyes scrutinising your face.
“Okay hold on! I know it sounds crazy, but I had this dream, and you were in my dream–” you started explaining, ignoring his smirk at those words, “and I saw you lean down to like, kiss me, or something, and then I slapped you in the dream but I slapped you in real life.”
“All I got from that was ‘I dreamed about you kissing me, Aonung, please kiss me now, Aonung, I love you, Aonung’ ” he joked, smiling down at you.
Gosh, those dimples.
FUCK nononononnnonasonfiwbjberhblvhaqnerovnav
Okay but he was kinda attractive as hell right now.
The hair too.
You weighed your options for a bit, the tension in the air crisp.
“[Name]? Did I say something wro–” he started.
Ughhhhh, just shut up already.
Before you knew it, you closed your eyes and pulled him in by his neck, pressing his lips onto yours, kissing him.
He sighed into the kiss, before smiling really widely, pulling away.
“So I was right after all–”
“Just shut up before I give you a matching bruise on the other cheek,” you threatened. But a super wide smile was evident on your face, and your hands still clasped together on the back of his neck.
“Yes ma’am,” he smiled, whispering softly, looking into your eyes and then your lips again.
“Thank you for saving my life, ‘Nung.” you say.
You don’t know why the hell you’re doing this.
 But it just feels right.
 And isn’t that what we’re all looking for in the end?
“No problem. Would do it again,” he smirked, “Know how you can repay me?”
You rolled your eyes before pulling him in once again.

Omg screaming crying WOOO it’s over it’s done! I’m so so sorry if it didn’t turn out to be exactly what you asked for, anon. Harder than I thought it would be to complete a fic after a solid 10 months of not writing (and also unfortunate circumstances arising). I made sure it was longer than my usual so that it’s not too bad 😭
I hope you guys enjoyed the fic, I know I definitely enjoyed writing it lol. I tried a different style of narration this time so do let me know what you guys think! Hope it’s not total doodoo to future Lorre when she rereads this back again.
As always, feedback is much much appreciated and any interaction with my posts helps a lot! In case anyone has more requests please feel free to leave them in the inbox, I will get to them eventually. Thinking of writing for a lot of characters and fandoms but this is getting way too long so I'll cut this short lmao.
see you later!
much love, lorre

Hi anla! are you comfortable writing a Tsireya x fem! Omatikaya! reader where reader is very tough and intimidating and is quiet and prefers to spend time alone. Tsireya finds her by the water one time instead of being with her family and tries to talk to her but gets blown off— she then makes it her mission to get close to reader and after a while reader lets her?? idk maybe some cute slow burn romance? thank you and ur writing is sooo good!
Tumblr media
Pairing: Tsireya/Fem!Reader (Sully daughter, lol)
Word Count: 1,572
Warnings: Cuteness overload? Small mention of violence? Hinted courting? Not sure what else, but this was written on my phone, so it's not in my best element and is also shorter than I wanted.
Taglist: @mooniequeen @avatar-lover @taronyuhunter
A/n: I definitely played into the unspoken fact that Na'vi, or at least Forest Na'vi, are basically cats 😅
~~~~~~~~~
When you first brushed off Tsireya's friendly conversation, the chief's daughter was beside herself all night thinking she had done something wrong, wondering why anyone wouldn't want a new friend in a strange, foreign place far away from home. Tsireya knew that if she was in your place, she'd be desperate for new friends to keep herself sane so she wouldn't feel as homesick.
Needless to say it was a little hurtful and confusing when you completely ignored her attempts at befriending you. You, the sibling born between Kiri and Lo'ak, didn't appear interested in anyone or anything other than your space. Your brothers and sisters, who are way more outgoing and eager to befriend Tsireya and the other reef children, don't even appear bothered by your mannerisms. Tsireya decided to ask Lo'ak why that was.
According to your younger brother, you have always been this way. You kept to yourself and only made time for family when you absolutely had to.
"What about friends?" Tsireya had asked, bewildered.
Lo'ak simply shrugged, "She considers us her friends, too."
That baffled the reef girl to no end. How can someone not want to find friends outside of her own family? Wouldn't you get tired of them and need to talk to someone outside of your circle of relatives? Tsireya can understand having boundaries but to this extreme? It both confused and intrigued her.
No longer hurt by your behavior, her curiosity had gotten the better of Tsireya. Even though you were a little intimidating, it didn't sway her from trying to hang out with you more.
She first started by just simply staying by your side. She didn't talk or anything, just sat or walked by your side, regardless of the side glances you gave her. Despite wanting to fill any awkward silence between the two of you, she kept quiet and instead just tried to get you used to her presence, wanting you to at least trust and feel comfortable around her. Whenever you side-eyed Tsireya, she simply smiled and ignored how put-off and tough you looked.
Lo'ak had never seen a cat before in his life, but from what his father had told him, you were very much like one. Jake affectionately compared you to a stray cat all the time, even more so than Spider. To gain your trust, someone would need to have unlimited patience and kindness. No one outside of your family had ever tried and if they did, gave up too easily. Spider was the only exception. Growing up together, you silently considered him your family just as much as your siblings.
However, while watching Tsireya try to approach you with her silent tactics, Lo'ak couldn't help but agree with his father about the stray cat's comment.
Once it's safe to assume you didn't care whether or not Tsireya was hanging out with you, she moved on to small, teeny tiny talks. She does this by complimenting you.
"Your hair is really beautiful today."
"I love that bracelet Tuk made for you. It compliments your eyes."
"You're amazing at fishing!"
It was... like walking on thin ice. You didn't say anything back, but your expression made you look wary of the compliments. If your hair wasn't hiding them, Tsireya would've seen the dark blush that enveloped them. Once you are no longer entirely put off by this step of conversing with you, the chief's daughter starts letting you in on all of her village gossip.
"Don't let Rotxo know I told you this, but he's very infatuated with Kiri."
"My mother had to treat one of our deep divers who thought it was a good idea to wrestle with his own tsurak."
"Our best singer thinks she can fool everyone by always wearing a shawl, but we all know she's trying to hide her growing belly."
You never say anything in response to the gossip, but Tsireya didn't miss the way your ears twitched, letting her know that you were listening to her, regardless of how you felt about village rumors. It made her smile, knowing that you were paying attention. She hadn't realized, but Tsireya had found herself enjoying talking to you, even though you never responded. What was once an attempt to get you to like her ended up being something that she ended up liking about you. Tsireya is one who is never at a loss for words and has even been told at times -mostly by her brother- that she talks too much. So to have someone not say a word but she knows is listening to every word she says was heartwarming, to say the least.
The curiosity and drive to be your friend slowly turned into an infatuation when she got you to smile for the first time.
She had boldly decided to gift you something but knew that it wouldn't be genuine if she didn't make something that you liked. Instead of jewelry, she made a small shell ornament meant to go on the front of your ikran's harness. When she handed you the gift, she felt as though the air had been stolen from her lungs at the sight of your smile.
It was small, but it was definitely there. You had what Lo'ak and Spider would use to call a "resting bitch face" and so any other emotion you expressed was easy to place. Tsireya found herself wanting to weave your smile into her memory, to swim to the Cove of the Ancestors as fast as possible to connect to the Spirit Tree and have your smile forever remembered by Eywa.
"I don't know why you like her so much," Ao'nung comments as he and his sister do their morning chores. He visibly shivers with his usual, permanent scowl ebbed on his face, an expression he most definitely inherited from Ronal, "She looks like she could rip my throat out with her teeth."
Poor, sweet, innocent Tsireya found herself shocked as something warm and pleasant rolled in her stomach, the image of you being so ferocious sending a weak chill down her spine. Unbeknownst to Ao'nung, his sister was in a dilemma, beside herself as to why it pleased her at the mere thought of you being able to end someone just by using your teeth. Trying to hide the growing blush rising to her face, Tsireya kept her head down and purposely focused on the fishing net she was mending.
"She's strong and fierce," the reef girl simply states, "And she's a good listener."
Ao'nung squints at her, baffled and put off by Tsireya's observation of you, but doesn't comment further.
But this strange friendship between you and his sister only baffled him further when the next time all of the reef children and Sullys were working together to build a strong canoe. You had approached the group, much to everyone's surprise, and held your hand out to the chief's daughter.
"Reya..."
All eyes quickly glance between you and Tsireya, not sure who everyone should be looking at. Rotxo and Ao'nung's jaws drop, never knowing what your voice sounded like before now. Ao'nung is even more affronted by the nickname you gave his sister. No one calls her that.
Tsireya's face visibly brightens as if you had just shown her the stars for the first time. Standing up to join you, she holds her hand out as you place something down in the center of her palm.
Your smile had returned as she drew close, faint and perhaps a bit shy, but it was present and it made her heart skip a beat as you whispered, "A piece of the Omatikaya."
You drew your hand away and then quickly turned around, walking back down the beach from the way you came. Tsireya nearly whined when she could no longer feel the heat that naturally radiated from your skin before remembering the item now nestled in her hand. Looking down, she uncurls her fingers and gasps quietly.
It was a beautiful choker made out of red and orange beads, tied tightly together, meant to climb up her neck and make her look taller, something similar to what she'd seen Neteyam and Neytiri wear. She had never worn anything with such bright, warm colors, reminding her of the fire in your yellow, piercing eyes. Without a second thought, she removed her own necklace and replaced it with yours, her fingers shaking with excitement as she clasped it around her neck. Beaming proudly, she turned back to your siblings and the other reef children to show off your gift, and while some of them were speechless, Tuk wasn't the least bit surprised by the exchange she had witnessed and squealed.
"It looks so pretty on you! I was watching her make that for hours and couldn't wait to see how it turned out!"
The young Na'vi girl's statement had everyone finally blinking from their shock, Rotxo even going as far as complimenting Tsireya's new necklace while your siblings and even Ao'nung all looked at one another with wary suspicion. Ao'nung waited until Tsireya was caught up speaking adamantly to Tuk and Rotxo before he snapped quietly at the other Sully siblings.
"What in Eywa's name was that??"
Lo'ak's jaw tightens but he doesn't say a word, briefly remembering another fun fact about cats that his father once told him. Something about what it means when a cat likes or trusts another animal or person, they tend to start gifting things like dead rodents.
He visibly shivers, hoping his sister won't go as far as to start bringing dead things to Tsireya.
Lo’ak x Fem!Omatikaya!Reader x Tsireya
kinkmas masterlist
Tumblr media
warnings: 18+ MDNI, threesome, Dom!Lo’ak, Switch!Tsireya, Sub!Reader, p in v, cunnilingus, oral!male receiving.
After the Sully’s left the Omatikaya, you were left without your best friend, Lo’ak.
The war had calmed down and Jake and Tonowari allowed you to come visit them.
Right now, you were learning the Metkayina ways with Tsireya, with constant annoying comments from Lo’ak.
“Breathe in.” Tsireya repeated once again. “From here.”
She places her hand on your stomach as you try again, trying to calm yourself and push your own frustration away.
“You are far too tense, Tanhi.” Lo’ak rolled his eyes, “No good for swimming.”
“Don’t listen to him.” Tsireya reassured you “He definitely didn’t get it on his first try either.”
“I got it quicker than she has been.” Lo’ak huffed
“No, you didn’t. Now hush.” She splashed him with water, making him dunk under the water
He surfaced after a second, watching you as you close your eyes
“Mawey,” She softly said, her fingers feeling your quick heartbeat
“I can’t do this…” You shake her hands off of you, moving to get up
“You just need to relax, just breathe!” She tried to get you to stop
“That’s not gonna get her to relax.” Lo’ak smirked “Is it, Tanhi?”
Your head snapped over to him, your eyes telling him to shut up.
“Then what will?” Tsireya looked between you to frustratedly
“Oh you know… when she’s-“
“Shut up Lo’ak!” You hiss
He merely laughs at you, hopping up on the edge of the flat rock you and Tsireya sat on together.
A wordless exchange between you and Lo’ak made Tsireya cross her arms in a huff.
“Tell me you remember it all, Tanhi.” Lo’ak teased, his dripping hand reaching up to caress your chin “You just couldn’t mount that Pa’li… so I got you all alone…”
“Ah, I see.” Tsireya smiled over at you, making Lo’ak’s smirk widen
“No. We can’t,” You look around at the deserted beach “I can’t.”
“Why not?” She tilts her head
“Yeah, Tanhi. Why not?” Lo’ak teasingly smiled, his hand slowly creeping up your thigh, “Just let it happen,”
Tsireya leaned closer to you, and began to leave small kisses on your neck.
“Calm your nerves. Relax.” Lo’ak reassured “Just like we used to.”
His fingers pulled at the knot of your loincloth, letting it slip off of you.
Lo’ak moved closer to you, his hands sliding around your waist. His lips brushed against yours as Tsireya’s lips kissed at your neck.
You felt her hands move around your body, sending pure sparks through you.
Lo’ak moved back, tugging Tsireya with him. They kissed each other, their lips melding together. You felt a spark of jealousy shoot through you, it was almost too much for you to handle.
Lo’ak pulled you to them, his lips devouring yours with a passionate intensity. His hands moved around your body, exploring and caressing your curves. His hands moved lower and you felt yourself tremble as his fingers found your clit.
Tsireya resumed her previous actions, her hands exploring your body. She kissed your neck, your breasts, and your inner thighs. You felt your body respond to her touch, and you felt yourself slipping into a state of pure bliss.
Lo’ak’s fingers breach your entrance with a small push, while Tsireya found your clit with her tongue.
Your back arched at the double stimulation from them.
“Swirl your tongue around in circles, small circles.” Lo’ak whispered to Tsireya, “She likes that.”
Tsireya took his advice, in turn making your small moans grow into breathless-like-panting.
“Oh? You really like that, huh?” He grunted “Squeezing around my fingers…”
“Lo’ak…” You moan
“All wound up, aren’t you? Need to relax you baby.” Lo’ak mumbled under his breath
He used his free hand to untie his loincloth, and pulled Tsireya away from you. Then he guided his cock down to your needy entrance and gently began to push in.
Tsireya moved up to straddle your waist, leaning down to kiss your lips. You moan against her lips as Lo’ak began to find a steady pace.
You feel Tsireya’s hips begin to rock against you at the same pace Lo’ak was going. She took one of your hands and brought it to her hip while Lo’ak took the other, just to hold it.
“Fuck, Tanhi.” Lo’ak growled, “Haven’t fucked this pussy in so long… missed it, missed you.”
His head popped over Tsireya’s shoulder so he could get a good look at you. “You let anyone touch you while I was gone?”
You immediately shake your head no.
“Such a good girl isn’t she?” Lo’ak whispered to Tsireya
“She is.” She moans “I knew she would be… by the way you talked about her.”
“You talked about me?” You breathlessly asked, your voice like honey to their ears
“Everyday.” They said at the same time, making each other giggle
“Felt like I knew you.” Tsireya shrugged
“Missed you so much, Tanhi.” Lo’ak moaned as he nestled his head into Tsireya’s shoulder
Your orgasm was fast approaching, almost completely taking over your brain as it finally became too much for you.
It flowed in dramatic waves from your core to the tips of your toes.
Lo’ak leaned forward, squishing the three of you together, and began to rut into you at his preferred pace. Tsireya had begun to finger herself as she simultaneously grinded against your stomach.
“She’s choking my fuckin’ cock.” Lo’ak moan in Tsireya’s ear, making her moan and clench around her own fingers
You could tell Tsireya had finally cum as she went lax on your chest.
“Fuck!” Lo’ak called out at he thrusts one more time and then spills deep inside you
“Ready to try again?” Tsireya squeaked from between the two of you
Jake sully x reader [series, part two]
PART ONE
Tumblr media
The sand burns beneath his feet, his skin hot and irritated from Eywa's unforgiving sun. Jake pats his ikran firmly on the chest, breathing steadily. He watches as people crawl out of their pods, emerge from the blue water and judging by their expressions, they aren't happy. He looks back to his family, gaze lingering on his oldest seeming weary and his fingers grazing the bow strapped to his ikran.
"Neteyam," he whispers sharply, and he looks to him, cowering away from the bow with a small huff through his nose. "On me," he commands his children, unable to hide the nervousness peering out of his tone. "Tuk," he mumbled, stretching his hand out for her to take. She runs to grab it, before settling her hands on the back of his leg.
Jake readjusts his slipping loincloth to sit comfortable on his hips before stretching his arms out wide, making sure to walk slowly and steadily. A sign of peace, a sign he could only hope they accept. He isn't able to stop himself from staring at the spears that some of the people hold, noticing the sharp, hard points of them. He does his best to keep his face neutral.
Two young boys and a girl crack through the thick group, slightly circling his sons.
"What is that? That supposed to be a tail?" One cracks, snickering and the other laughs with him. "How are they supposed to swim—"
The girl suddenly hits the cocky boy's arm, voice stern, "Do not, Roxto and Ao'nung."
Suddenly, the hushed talk of the people dies down a few notches.
Jake tilts his head to see a figure pushing— no, melting through the crowd, because they seem to be immediately parting for the said figure. He hears the light sound of shells rattling, smooth feet treading on the sand and before he can even catch his breath, there you are.
Weirdly enough, his mind jumbles. An unusual, unfamiliar bolt jitters through his body, settling at the pit of his stomach. Like a jolt of electricity.
You're of status. That much he can tell. Your black hair lavers down your back and over your shoulders, with a bundle of pearls and crystals twisted through it. You wear a lengthy sarong that lies loose around your hips, the right side cutting only at your calf. There are three crystalloid waist-beads that wrap around your torso, and your threaded top only covers what's necessary, and that too, is sprinkled with colorful spangles. Anklets, armlets, bracelets. A necklace that's crested with precious seashells and looped with glossy pearls. Your body is wet, skin dotted with water drops as if you had just gotten out of the ocean.
You scoop your hair out from your neck, unsticking it from your skin and moving it all to the back of you. He doesn't think he's ever seen a movement be done so gracefully.
A being that's ethereal, nothing he has seen before and it's something about you that reels him in like a fish caught on a hook. Your gaze finally locks with his, eyes ripe with curiosity and poise. His stomach does a flip, suddenly feeling the heat burning from beneath your expression. Your face is unreadable, your chin held high as you examine him and his family, and the sudden big whooshes from above him is the only thing that pulls his attention away from you.
Three big sea animals with long wings ride in, splashing into the water and one rider soaring on them is recognised easily. Tonowari, chief of the Metkayina, the reef people. He emerges from the water with a sense of power flowing behind him, and he strides with strength as his spear digs deep into sand each time he takes a step. They exchange greetings, and Jake's feels a sense of relief at the calm connection, as he knew Tonowari was a fierce leader.
But it wasn't him Jake was worried about.
Ronal emerges through the crowd, hips swaying gently and her face is unreadable, just like yours. She holds a strong aura, and her skirt rattles powerfully against her teal skin as she takes long, wary appearing steps.
"I see you, Ronal, Tsahik of the Metkayinas," Jake rushes, connecting his fingers to his head and releasing them swiftly. She says nothing in return, only flicking her eyes over his kids scattered behind him.
"Jakesully," Tonowari begins. "Why do you come to us?"
Jake licks swiftly at his lips, "We seek Uturu."
"Uturu?" Ronal snaps, like he has just insulted her with three striking words.
"Yes— sanctuary for my family," Jake reaches for Tuk standing meekly behind him, grasping her hand and bringing her gently forward.
"We are reef people," Tonowari lets a soft, unbelievable laugh escape from his chest. Ronal begins to circle Jake and his family. "You are forest people. Your skills will mean nothing here."
"So we will learn your ways, yeah?" Jake pleads.
Ronal grabs at Jake's tail, earning a little jut of his body from the unexpected action. She strokes her hand down Tuk's arm. "Their arms are thin," she states loud. It takes him by the unexpected when he feels another set of hands settling on his tail, and he whips his head around to see you, fingers grazing the length.
"Their tails are thin as well," you say, earning a small nod from Ronal. You drop his tail, now stepping over to his little girl behind him. "Mother," you murmur, jutting your head towards Tuk and she follows the movement, humming lowly. Mother. You were the clan leader's daughter, the next tsahik in line. He now understood the mutual energy you both shared.
"The thinness of your body parts will make you weak," Ronal then pulls on Kiri's tail, earning a whiney ow from her but the tsahik completely ignores it. "You will be slow in the water."
Ronal examines her arms, then moves to settle on her hands, and her eyes widen. She swiftly grabs at her them, swinging them up for everyone to see. "These children... are not even true na'vi." She strides over to the next kid, and of course, she lands on Lo'ak. She pushes his hand up too, revealing the same five blue fingers, "They have demon blood!"
The thick crowd swirls with gasps and terror-filled whispers, even a round of hisses chucked out. But Jake is quick to wave his hand out in front of Ronal's face, a sudden desperation, a sudden need to protect his family rushing in. "Look. Look!" Ronal's gaze snaps to him, eyeing the way his fingers wiggle around. "Look, I was born of the Sky People and now I am Na'vi. Alright? You can adapt." He turns to his worried family, "We can adapt."
"My father was Toruk Makto," Kiri rushes to tell, her eyes hung with slight desperation in them. Jake bites at his tongue, pulling all his inner strength together to not clamp his hand over his teenage daughter's mouth. "He lead the clans to victory against the Sky People. You know the tale."
"This is what you call victory, child? Hiding amongst strangers?" She towers over the teenage girl, her gaze darkening with disgust. She whips her head to Jake, "It seems Eywa has turned her back on you, chosen one."
An immediate, breathy hiss comes from Kiri, which is then met with a hiss from Ronal right back, dangerously leaning over her and that's when Jake places a hand on Kiri's shoulder and gently rocks her back a few steps. "I apologise for my daughter. She has travelled for a long time and is exhausted." He shoots her a look while explaining, tightening his grip on her shoulder slightly.
"Dad..." Kiri is quick to complain, but stops her next coming words when his expression hardens.
"Toruk Makto is a great leader, all Na'vi people know his story." Tonowari suddenly speaks out, extending his arm outwards toward Jake. "But we Metkayina are not at war," Tonowari turns to him. "We cannot let you bring your war here."
As Tuk numbly reaches for Jake, he immediately scoops her up by her torso, laying her head against his shoulder as her body presses sleepily at his chest. "I'm done with war," he plains, tone hugging a tiredness. "I just want to keep my family safe. That's all." He wraps an arm around his daughter's back, feeling the burning warmth of her sun-exposed skin. "Please," he adds.
A long look is exchanged between Ronal and Tonowari, and as restless anticipation boils at Jake's stomach, Tonowari turns around to him once again.
"Toruk Makto and his family will stay with us." Immediate relief floods through Jake's system, and he gives a reassuring pat to Tuk's small back. "Treat them as our brothers and sisters. But they do not know the sea, and they will be like babies taking their first breath. We shall teach them our ways so they do not suffer the shame of being useless."
Jake huffs out a breathless laugh, mixed with soft adrenaline and consolation. "Well— what do we say? Thank you."
A round of thank yous are heard, and a short, quiet one is added on by his attitude-filled daughter, Kiri.
"My eldest daughter will teach you the ways of Metkayina, Jakesully. As for my other daughter and son, they will show your children what to do," Tonowari speaks and a choked scoff is heard from beside him. Your jaw tightens, eyes setting wide as you whip your body towards your parents.
"Father," you dash. "You cannot exp—"
"It is decided." He booms, not sparing you even a look and your lips break into a snarl, a tiny and annoyed hiss breaking past your them. You seem to collect yourself just a moment after, breathing in through your chest before you take a large step forward.
"Come, I will show you our village," you invite, letting a small smile spread on your face and placing your hands neatly behind you. "Tsireya," you call, and she quickly follows after.
"Come!" the younger girl behind you cheers, and Jake swears he hears a soft laugh from in front of her.
He's quick to join you.
The ocean waves crash against your feet, splashing at your ankles as you toss food into a young ilu's mouth. You hold a basket at your hip, filled with fresh fish that is ready to be eaten.
Tsireya stays restless beside you, rising up and down on her toes as she helps you. "What do you think of Toruk Makto and his family?" you ask, dipping your hand into the basket again and wrapping your fingers around the thick of a fish's wet body.
Beforehand, you had examined Jakesully and his family from afar as they settled into their new home. You were relieved that they had seemed to like their marui pod, and hoped that they found peace within it. While they attempted to grow comfortable in their new home, you couldn't help but awe at their appearances. Their skin colour was a shade so blue, their eyes a vibrant, startling yellow.
Jakesully is intriguing looking, you figured, and you found yourself letting your eyes linger on him when they had firstly arrived. Even just before, you had to forcibly pull your eyes away from him and the action of the readjustment of his leather clip around his torso.
"I find them interesting. They're so.. blue." Tsireya replies. You throw the fish into another ilu's mouth, a happy chirp flowing from the eager animal as you do so. "You were upset about teaching Toruk Makto the ways of our people. Why?"
You blink, collecting another fish in your hands, "I was not upset about that. I was upset about the fact that father throws tasks at me repeatedly, and just expects me to handle it with the snap of my fingers. I'm aware that this was a completely unexpected event, but... it can get infuriating. Mother is the same."
"I understand," she responds, tucking a bunch of hair behind her ear.
You huff out a breath of air. "Fine, I must admit that I was a bit tempered in the moment. Toruk Makto does not seem like the ideal man to teach."
Tsireya laughs, "I understand that, too."
"Mm," you make a small, giddy humming noise. "Lo'ak seems ideal though, yes?"
"What?" she frowns, and your smirk widens.
"I saw you making big eyes at him," you tease, kicking her ankle softly with your foot.
"I wasn't."
"Oh, I think you were, hi'i ilva." You kick her again, finding amusement in her growing fluster. She groans out your name, pushing you in the shoulder and you gasp out a dramatised grunt, "Ooow!"
"You said you were going to stop calling me that," she embarrassingly wipes at her cheek, stretching out the skin of her eye.
"But you used to love it when you were little," you pout. Her frown deepens playfully. You notice the way her eyes travel over you, and a cheeky grin of her own makes its way to her smooth lips.
"Don't look now, but Toruk Makto is staring at you." Tsireya whispers giddily, ducking her head a little.
Your back straightens instinctively and you immediately turn your head around to look, doing exactly what she said not to do. Tsireya groans because of it.
She's right. Jakesully is looking at you from afar, and when he sees that you've caught him, he pushes out a dopey smile, flicking his still hand up in greeting. You nod your head back, letting a tiny smile split your lips. He begins walking over to you, and that's when you sigh quietly.
"Go help out Toruk Makto's children," you say, handing your basket to a villager ready to finish the task. "Use nice words, and make them feel welcome. And keep Ao'nung in line. Anything goes south, call out for me."
"Alright," she giggles, and you can tell she's excitement. She grazes your arm in goodbye and trots off, filling you with a small warmth at her obvious eagerness.
You wish you too possessed eagerness for teaching Jakesully, but Eywa didn't seem to be on your side today.
When he's near enough, you gently ball your fingers in a small fist on your forehead and then release them, a soft bow of your head. "Oel ngati kameie."
"Oel ngati kameie," he returns, repeating the gesture. There's a sense of awkward tension between the two of you. It's small, but it's there.
"Come," you command, sliding your hands behind your back and he listens, trailing behind you like a lost baby ilu following its mother. He attempts to match your long strides against the sand, even flicking up some and bits of it sprigging you in the legs. "My sister is eager to teach your children. She makes a great teacher. They will learn quick."
"That's good," Jakesully grumbles. You can feel his eyes stare into your face.
"I hope I make a great teacher to you, Toruk Makto." You add, flicking your fingers in your conjoined hands.
"Jake," he says, now grabbing your attention and you spin your head towards his. "Call me Jake."
"Jake?" you ask, the foreign word springing off your tongue loosely.
"Jake." He confirms, a smirk twitching on his lips. "And what shall I call you?" he prods, letting his eyes flick a mischievous glint.
"Karyu," you reply. Teacher. You aren't looking at him, but you hope he doesn't see the ghost of a grin playing on your mouth. You do catch the little flick of his tail though from the corner of your eye.
You begin to sink into your feet into the water, ushering him with the flick of your wrist and as you dive deeper into the sea, you glide a hand along an incoming ilu. "You will make bond with many ilu. They are kind, soft creatures. Treat them as your brother, your close one," you explain, rubbing a hand over the ilu's head before you.
Jake's next to you, placing a hand on its back. You take his hand, guiding it to the base of her long neck and angling his fingers to rest at the side of it. "Feel the strong huff of her breath, the scales of her skin."
He does as told, smoothing his palm flat onto her neck. Then his ears perk up, and his eyes run over to a spot behind you. "What's that?"
You attempt to look where his gaze was set, and you sigh once seeing where it was. "That is a skimwing. Only the most skilled Metkayina hunters may mount them."
You can see the way his eyes dart open, looking to you from the side and before he can even open his mouth, you're scolding him, "It isn't wise to start with a skimwing. An ilu would be much better."
He grins for the hundredth time today, but this time you're able to catch a glimpse of his pearly teeth. "Toruk Makto can handle a skimwing, ma karyu."
The skimwing is puffing out ragged and intimidating breaths as Jake flops belly first onto his back, swinging his leg over recklessly as a few men around them struggle to keep the beast down. Its back end thrashes, splashing water wildly and hitting you a couple of times. You're at the eager man's side, keeping your own and holding down the skimwing with an arm on its side.
"You hold here, yes— tight grip, Jake. Do not let go," you declare with your voice raised, trying to boom over the loud smack of the thrashing animal beside you. Jake grabs the leather band out from his mouth, using it to wrap it around his hand and the thick handle. "Remember, when you dive back into the water, keep a good position. Strong hold."
"Mhm," Jake mumbles, half-paying attention as he yanks the band a few times, stabilising the hold. Then he looks at you, and with a quirked lean of his head, he states, "I got this."
You breathe in deeply through your chest, taking a step back as you eye him steadily.
"Heeyah!" he shouts, the skimwing pouncing into action. It swivels and bolts through the water, and you watch as it jolts up and out of it, orange bold wings flapping out powerfully. You're impressed by it, with the way Jake hops up on one foot and rides the skimwing not flawlessly, but bravely. You even begin to tilt your head to get a clearer view of the scene. But then you notice the mishap, the leak of his performance when diving back down.
The skimwing escapes him, and he's left on his side before he's jumping up from the water, locks of black hair swishing back and forth. He swings up his arm, the hand that was once twisted into the skimwing's handle, now waved up in the air as he shakes it with anger. You can hear him groaning out in frustration, and a short laugh snorkels out from your mouth. You call for an ilu, hopping on it with a chortle and gliding to his aid.
"Toruk Makto cannot handle a skimwing as it seems," you tease, earning a chopped, slightly sheepish laugh from Jake. Your grin weakens when you see his arm, now reddened with whipped marks that seemed less severe from two hundred metres away. "Would you like something to aid that?"
"This? This ain't nothing." He brushes off, shoving the arm into the water.
"Hm," you murmur, raising a brow gently. "I will aid it for you if it does not fade within a few days."
"It's fine. Really—" he sees the expression on your face, and it's an expression that tells him that you will not give up on persistence. He sighs lowly. "'right, sweetheart."
Sweet heart? A heart that is sweet, you gathered. You've heard of many stories that your mother has told of the humans, and their foul and odd language. But this, you had not heard of. It should not have made the inner of your belly swirl with a sudden warmth like it had.
You raise your head, "Let's return to the ilu."
It's at the dark of night, and Jake is sat down with his family. Just like the Omoticaya, the Metkayina gather around for supper, a large bonfire in the middle of the peaceful people. The fish he chews is warm and smokey with flavor, his body tired from the day's work. Tuk is leant against his shoulder, a yawn leaving her. Neteyam sharpens an arrow of his bow, and Kiri is playing with one of her beads mangled in her hair as Lo'ak recklessly gobbles down his dinner.
He feels a sudden glow spread through his chest, because what he feels is the similar sensation of peace. Peace, at last. It partially convinces him to believe that what he did was right. It was right to rip himself and his family away from their home, to protect them from Quaritch and the vicious forces of the RDA.
He looks out in front of him and past the bright fire, his line of eyesight landing on both you and your family. You're scratching your knee as the bonfire toasts around you, its orange light illuminating on your face and giving the shade of your big eyes a warm glow. Ronal then looks to you, and the trace of her eyebrows pinch together. "Eat, child. You have barely touched any food," she snaps.
Obviously embarrassed, you heave out a long, exhausted sigh. "Mama," you whine out, a flush erupting on your cheeks and Jake has to suppress a chuckle from breaking out his chest.
Ronal picks up your wooden bowl, jutting it toward you. "Eat," she sterns. You take it from her, side-eyeing her as you begin to stuff your mouth little by little. When Jake realises he's been looking too long, he snaps his head down, mentally slapping himself.
When the lights are out and the only noise that goes through Jake's ears is the cold wind, Jake sits. He sits in his marui, as his children sleep soundly. It wasn't out of the ordinary. It had been like this for a while, ever since Neytiri had left him and gone into the hands of Eywa. He'd just wait and wait, until his eyes finally became wary, and sometimes even that didn't happen. Sometimes he would not find the comfort of sleep at all.
But then he hears the bend of the floor nets near him, the same clatter of shells he heard earlier that day and his ears flicker against his hair. He slowly gets up, careful not to awake the sleeping youngsters beneath him as he creeps his way to the closed opening of the pod.
When he opens the cloth flap, there you are, head flicked up and looking up at him with those big eyes of yours. "Hello," you say, and it's the quietest he has heard you.
"Hey," he mutters, gaze turning to his kids for a split second.
You lean your head over too, "Are they asleep?"
"Yes." He states, looking back at you. It's quiet for a second, and he takes the moment to do a once-over of you. Your hair is completely out, wild and breezing gently through the ocean's breeze. A shawl is wrapped loosely around your form, beaded with tiny shells that dangle each time your arm shifts.
"Tsireya has told me they are kind. That they are eager to learn." You continue, adjusting your shawl to cover your shoulder a bit more.
"That's good," he says. He gets a jolt of déjà vu from the conversation you shared earlier today. His eyes drift to the way a large piece of your hair sways in front of your shoulder and pools at the centre of your chest.
You then say a word, and he doesn't quite catch it.
"Hm?" he whispers, eyes connecting with yours once again.
"That is my name," you repeat it again, the word rolling off your tongue like a run of honey. His eyes twitch wide, blinking as his mind registers it. A pretty name for a pretty girl. He doesn't say that, though.
Instead, "S' pretty."
"Thank you," you mumble, already turning to leave when he calls out your name. You tilt your head, gazing up at him through the thick of your eyelashes.
"Just wanted to say it," he admits, and fuck, shit, he's already regretting it. He expects you to do anything but crack a gentle smile, a muffled and soft laugh from you as you turn back and walk away. He watched your form disappear into the night, the clattering of seashells fading from his ears.
When he climbs back into the pod, for the first time in a while, he finds the comfort of sleep easily.
