Murf's Top 50 Mods - Part 3 (2020 - 2023 Edition)
I made a Top 50 list (Pt 1 and Pt2) back in 2016, talking about mods that I've used & love. But with all the goated content that the amazing TS3 community continues to churn out, I NEEDED to update my list! This one in no way diminishes or negates the other mods I've already listed--like, I shouldn't have to sit here and explain how NRAAS continues to carry TS3 on its freaking shoulders, ok. This is just MORE mods, the Top 50 most RECENT ones I've tried out since, like, quarantine.
I am a VERY niche simmer--I love fantasy gameplay, so my fave mods are the ones that not only offer general quality of life improvements, but also add new abilities and interactive objects inspired by different cultures, time periods, or genres. So y'all already KNOW which ones have earned my top spots. They're not based on which mods are "better," just which ones I personally have been using the most.
1: Smooth Patch, LazyDuchess
I've already gushed about this mod, but oh well. Like--I use an EFFTON of CC. My Live Mode gameplay itself doesn't tend to lag so much as my game's slow to LOAD, slow to save, CAS is a nightmare, I can do my taxes waiting for the Misc Decor section to open, etc etc. But the Smooth Patch loads everything so much quicker for me! 😭
One thing is that on the EA App version (curse you, EA) the Master Controller package didn't work on my end, so I took it out, but everything else has been great!
2: Search Mod, LazyDuchess
Speaking of the Misc Decor section -- HOW LONG did we ask EA for a Search function y'all? Only to be ignored. Then the second TS4 is released, it ain't got a effing thing in it, but it's got a Search function??? 🤔 ISTG it's like the simgurus were told to take all of the TS3 community's best suggestions, and poach them for TS4 (like vampire coffins--NO I'm not over it!). WHY do modders have to do your frikkin job for you, EA?! I call EA lazy all the time cuz EA you suck, so it's the most ironic thing ever that LazyDuchess is out here KILLING IT.
My ONLY "complaint" about the Search mod is the position of the icon. I use A LOT of Collection Files, and I noticed that the Search icon actually covers the Delete button when in the Collection viewer. So I can't delete items in collections with the Search icon in the way.
But this is a MINOR nitpick--I almost never delete items, it's just something I noticed is all.
3 - 8: OCCULT MODS: EVERYTHING by @puddingface1902
Y'all already know the Enhanced Witches mod is my favorite mod ever made. But PF1902 also made cool enhancements to the Fairies, Genies, Vampires, Werewolves, and Mermaids too! My sims are usually Nraas hybrids (e.g.: Sakura is a faery, witch & plantsim; Magnus Bane is a witch & genie; etc.), so it's FANTASTIC having so many new abilities for my magical occults. 😍
9 - 11: OCCULT MODS by xantak22
Even more occult mods at MTS are for enhanced Plantsims, Ghosts, and Mummies! I was dying for more Plantsim abilities, omg, they're my 3rd fave occult after Witches & Fae.
12: Sim Control Tools by Knight
Sooooo many quality of life mods have come out! ^0^
I've been ABUSING the Teleport To Me function, to quickly get sims off of lots & where I need them to be. It also lets sims unlock more Social/Romantic interactions. (Now all we need is a way to interact with sims from EA's useless thumbnails.)
13 - 18: @anitmb's mods
There are SOOOO many--most I've yet to even try. But so far newer ones I've been using are the Deck of Cards (FINALLY something other than EA's bulky AF poker table!), Farm Mod (look at all these CHICKENS!), and Hunting mod so my 8000 archer sims can actually hunt! (Ofc I've also used the Woodcutter and Anvil mods in my older gameplay posts, too.) And @mspoodle1's edit of the Cup of Tea mod is so pretty.
19: @mspoodle1's Poker table
Another excellent cards mod is this medieval style poker table I use a lot now, too.
20: @omedapixel's Wildflowers DR
I like EA's default wildflowers from SSNS, but Omeda's are just sooooo much nicer. (I haven't gotten around to trying out their Harvestable Plant DR yet.)
21: Swordfighting mod by CyrusBanefort
En garde! This mod is so freaking epic!
One thing I've noticed is that the game lags while it waits for the mod to boot up (a message has to first pop up saying it's running when you first launch your saves). But other than that this mod is excellent.
22 - 24: Yoga rugs
I've long been using the yoga rugs by Kitabalibar and the edited one from @mspoodle1. But now there's the newest one by @twinsimming, with brand new animations & features. The more the merrier I say, LOL. What's especially neat is the kids wobbling around as they try to do yoga! :3
25 - 30: TheSweetSimmer's mods--so cute! :3
Omg so frikkin many, I can't even catch up! The interactions are so freaking precious, like from the More Toddler Interactions (cuddle, look at, etc) & Biggest Little Mod (hug legs), I've never had so much fun playing with kids! <3 And I LOVE that they can Catch Butterflies and Pick Flowers--you'd think plantsim children would be able to do this by default, EA! Honestly, just grab everything by TSS, your kid sims will thank you!
31 - 33: @spheresims Medieval/Nature/Tribal mods
Y'all know I'm crazy about the Functional Fireplaces mod (the cauldrons, baby! 😈), but the One with Nature and Wildlife Hunting mods are great too, perfectly complimenting the off-the-grid realness.
34: @olomayasims/Cmomoney Smoking Mod Overhaul
The original smoking mod was on my first Top 50 list, so it's awesome seeing it get new upgrades, interactions & animations.
I've never smoked IRL, but sooooo many of my sims just puff-puff away; I'm such an enabler. U_U Now all we need is cigars and pipes!
35 - 38: Callia-Evergreen/Camkitty's CAS CC for animal hybrids at MTS
Not a "mod" per se, but whatever--my list my rules! I love ALL of their CC, but I get SO MUCH use out of animal-themed CC like the digitigrade sliders, wolf feet, lizard tails, and fae wings. Do check them out if you like to play with horror and monster-sims!
39: @greenplumbboblover's Sheep
EASILY one of the most incredible mods I've ever seen. Like....HOW? (Once @omedapixel's Goats are done I'm gonna start screaming someone do llamas pleeeeeaaaaase!!!)
40: Arsil's musical instruments mod
I used the sax most recently in my IWTV gameplay, and it was excellent, perfect for the NOLA vibes! However, although I use the flute A LOT more (for my Untamed gameplay--it's been such a GODSEND!), I really wish the hands were positioned better, preferably using the poses from Chisims' flute poseset. (But I don't eff with poses/animations, otherwise I'd do it myself. U_U) Ah well, it's still one of my fave mods though.
41 - 42: Flower Arranging mod by zoe22 + @mspoodle1's Florist Collection
Guys, I've been wanting this mod since FOREVER! ^0^ (I swear, the best thing about TS4 is all the 4t3 conversions, LMAO!) I just wish Teens could Dabble and use it, too--all they can do is stock the table.
43: Just Sit/Nap Anywhere by FloTheory
Sometimes you just want sims to fall asleep anywhere, DANG, EA!
44: @sweetdevil-sims' Toddler Food DR
Cuz EA's food is UUUUUUUUGLY~! I kept forgetting to install it, only to be rudely reminded every time I had to look at my toddler sims eating MUD.
45 - 46: @mspoodle1's mail pen quill DR and @omedapixel's pencil quill DR
I looooove quill pens IRL (ballpoint pens, not the fountain pens--I'm way too messy), so having mods that let my sims use them too is 👌
47: Fireflies Enhanced! by Canibal_MLO
I love anything that enhances the wildlife and collectibles/harvestables to be more dynamic and interactive. And I was JUST about to do a firefly catching scene for my IWTV insp. gameplay, so this came right on time! The falling leaves effect is delightful, but I kinda wish it was falling flower petals instead, cuz ofc I do. 🌸
48: Unicorn Aurora DR by Canibal_MLO
GORGEOUS. This mod replaces the unicorn mist with northern lights, like.... I love the genius ideas simmers have.
49: Custom Plumbbob Color tool by CrossTheMersey
What a neat idea! Although the default Maxis colors are ingrained in my psyche, with the iconic green plumbbob, as soon as I saw this mod I knew I wanted to at least try something different and play around with it.
50: @aa6x7's Teru Teru Bozu + other edits [Honorable Mention]
I rave about Cmomoney's Time/Weather Mod all the time, I use it constantly. AA6x7's Teru Teru Bozu (Japanese "Sunshine Monk" charms) is kinda like a simpler version of it, as it just resets bad weather back to Sunny. But it's such a cute idea and perfect for my gameplay. Plus, AA6x7 makes all kinds of neat edits/mods to EA's bulky AF meshes, so if you haven't checked them out already, DO!
And that's all the mods I've managed to try out recently!
I don't have anywhere near the kind of free time that I used to, so my simming has been put on the backburner and I've missed all kinds of cool and exciting releases. But trust: I am taking note, so that I know what to try once I have time.
All my deepest & sincerest gratitude & love to the entire sims community, for keeping The Sims 3 going--this year was the 14th anniversary! Here's to 14 more! 🥳 Happy Simming!

Thank you 500+ followers! *and here's the long overdue gift, sorry!*
Here's some minor object edits that have been sitting in my WIP folder and should've been ready for upload but with the hype of learning to convert objects to TS3 I've forgotten to do so.
Okay then, enjoy these little tweaks everyone!
Showtime's "Fibonacci Fence" with symmetrical post
Self-explanatory, this (would have been) beautiful glass fence have been annoying me because of the triangular shape of the post. This is now reshaped into a symmetrical post, and also comes with a thinner version. Price and channels remain unchanged, but you will not need Showtime to have these fences in your game.
Season's wall hook de-starified
I would love to have good use of this wall hook, but the star accents attached to it make it exclusive only for kids' rooms. To make it also "grown-up" friendly I removed the star accents, and added a hook only version. The first version (with the bag and jacket) has four channels, and the hook only version can only be recolored with the 1st and 4th channel [UPDATE Jan. 25: this version now only has two channels]. Both cost §85, and found under Decor>Sculptures. Seasons is not required.

Poll - Guide to Acceptable Polycounts for TS3
I'm not entirely sure how to broadcast this, but the polycount issue has blown up my feed spectacularly - and I've found the discussion interesting for a number of reasons.
Mainly that there has been no specific answer on what is expected to be a reasonable polycount and what's not outside of common sense. So I would like to take a poll of sorts to see where everyone's mind is at on the current issue.
So... who's up to take a vote? I think the easiest way would be to comment your answers below so they can be collected in one place. If you decide to reblog it to carry it to a bigger audience, tag me so I can see it and average/correct the numbers after a certain point of time.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm going to attempt to fill this in where I can... please feel free to tell me I'm nuts or way off track and reply your own thoughts. I put the not acceptable/photo-use as extreme cases so they're all higher than the high poly tier.
I am by no means an expert on this matter, I am just trying to collect data. So take that into consideration when you're reading through this.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CAS -
Low/Mid poly [# 0 - 10K ]
Mid/High Poly [# 10K - 20K ]
Photo-use Only / Not acceptable for gameplay [# 30K+ ]
BUILD OBJECTS -
Low/Mid poly [# 0 - 2K]
Mid/High Poly [# 2K - 4K]
Photo-use Only / Not acceptable for gameplay [# 6K+ ]
DECOR OBJECTS -
Low/Mid poly [# 0 - 2K ]
Mid/High Poly [# 2K - 4K]
Photo-use Only / Not acceptable for gameplay [# 6K+ ]
FUNCTIONAL OBJECTS -
Low/Mid poly [# 0 - 3K]
Mid/High Poly [# 3K - 6K ]
Photo-use Only / Not acceptable for gameplay [# 8K+ ]
Rabbitholes - Buildings - Major Landmarks (This may vary considering most major landmarks will only be used a limited number of times - if not once - in a world. In my very limited experience rabbit holes from EA can vary from 10k to 30k depending on how many details the building carries. This also applies to things such as distant terrains, etc).
Low/Mid poly [# 0 - 15K]
Mid/High Poly [# 15K - 30K ]
Photo-use Only / Not acceptable for gameplay [# 40K+ ]
Speedtree / Plants (This might be complicated, as SPT files aren't able to be decimated or lowered, as far as I've found it comes down to a ridiculous amount of tweaking and luck. Because a SPT plant can have 3000 leaves or 200 and have the same damn polycount. It makes no sense).
Low/Mid poly [# 0 - 2K]
Mid/High Poly [# 2K - 4K]
Photo-use Only / Not acceptable for gameplay [# 6K+ ]
WORLD OBJECTS / Minor Landmarks- (Rocks, Windmills, etc)
Low/Mid poly [# 0 - 3K ]
Mid/High Poly [# 3K - 6K ]
Photo-use Only / Not acceptable for gameplay [# 8K+ ]
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please let me know your thoughts on this.
One other thing I would add to the creators/convertors to start adding to their creations is to add the polycount/Photo-use-only warning in the description of their packages so you can see it in game, as well as the download itself. Because most of us have so much crap we will never remember once it's in there.

it amazes me that TS4 is still lacking a lotta good traits from TS3. in fact, it's gotten so bad that i wish they'd just create a kit dedicated to traits. (or preferably, do a free basegame update with more traits) i'm gonna post some traits from TS3 that TS4 lacks, and why i think they should be included.
we have art related traits in TS4 such as the art lover, and snob. but we don't rly have the art hater trait -- the "can't stand art". which i think it's kinda weird we don't have the opposite of art lover in TS4 yet.
attributes for these (taken from the sims wiki shhh):
a sim who can't stand art will detest any kind of art from paintings to sculptures.
the sim may get a "can't stand art" moodlet when looking at art, and will have a disgusted reaction when looking at most art/sculptures.
sims will not enjoy talking about art.
sims prefer living in a home with very little decoration.
sims are excluded from the getting the "decorated" moodlet and its related variations (nicely decorated and its variants).
NPCs or inactive sims with this trait will not visit the following lot assignments: art gallery.
sims will often have wishes to sell paintings that are in the house.
sims who can't stand art will often get wishes to go home whenever they are forced to attend the local art gallery.
sims who can't stand art are at a disadvantage when undertaking a fine arts major while studying at college.
i just think art haters could make for funny gameplay (esp move them in with an art lover)
neurotic is actually like one of my FAVORITE traits from TS3. it's a real shame that this one or an equivalent is not in TS4. these sims are constant worriers, they easily lose it about things in lives, they calm down by checking the sink or having a freak out. i'm not gonna list all the attributes, 'cos they actually do have a lot of gameplay. usually it's just them getting upset over interacting with a lotta sims or objects. but i just rly enjoy it. i relate a lot with this trait LOL.
it's REALLY odd that TS4 doesn't have a brave trait yet??? this feels like a very obvious trait to implement in the game. "bravery" is a common attribute for someone to have irl. i know TS4's "macabre" trait doesn't allow for sims to get scared. but like... what if i want a brave sim that isn't morbid? lol. a sim that acts more heroic?
attributes of the brave trait:
a brave sim will never panic, even in emergencies (unless there's an earthquake). If there is a fire, they will put it out rather than panic, allowing them to handle it more easily. they will also autonomously put out other Sims who are on fire, and will autonomously look for a nearby shower if they are set on fire themselves.
brave sims will perform better than other sims in the military and law enforcement careers.
brave sims have a higher chance of winning fights.
brave sims occasionally have the unique option to allow the player to make the brave sim pressure their bosses into giving them raises while at work. this option may be successful only if the brave sim has a high job performance metric and a good relationship with the boss, while failure may cause a drop in their job performance.
brave sims prefer to watch the action channel on the television.
brave sims will not be scared by ghosts
HOW does TS4 not have a COWARD trait yet?! srsly?! like when i was trying to make a loser sim once in TS4, i realized i couldn't rly 'cos they lacked a lotta these obvious traits. S4's paranoid may be similar to coward... but it's not quite the same thing. paranoid sims are mostly just "suspicious" or "delusional" about other sims. meanwhile S3's coward sims are literally scared of anything. they get terrified of watching the damn horror channel on TV! and other minor things. srsly the attributes are funny and i'd even say we desperately need a proper coward trait in TS4!
coward attributes:
when cowards stay in a dark room or outside at night, they will get the "afraid of the dark" moodlet instead of the "it's dark" moodlet.
cowards will faint when they encounter the grim reaper, a ghost.
cowards will get scared from watching the horror channel on TV.
cowards will run away from sims who have slapped them or fought them and won.
cowards will pee themselves when declared as a nemesis.
cowards tend to have a scared reaction when misfortune strikes nearby Sims.
cowards look worried most of the time.
cowards will run away from sims who are the emperor of evil and have a red glow or if they see the repo-man.
cowards will, in panic, initiate fights with vampires if the vampire intimidates them.
cowards will run away if they come across bonehilda.
cowards are prone to pee themself and pass out when they receive the "terrified" moodlet, and they will always flee.
coward sims will react badly to the "tell ghost story" interaction.
pretty self explanatory one. these sims just hate water and refuse to go swimming. it may not be a very needed one like the others i've mentioned, but it's just funny to have anyway! also them crying after taking baths is hialrious.
once again i ask: HOW does TS4 NOT have the (un)lucky traits?! again, when i was trying to make a loser sim in TS4 -- not having the unlucky trait rly didn't help! these traits are fun 'cos they affect a lotta the gameplay. lucky sims are more likely to win at games / lotteries, and unlucky sims are LESS likely to win. lucky sims are also just luckier in most terms of gameplay: less likely to break objects, more likely to succeed in jobs, more likely to succeed in their tasks. unlucky sims, as you can figure, are the opposite. they're more likely to fail in their tasks, more likely to break objects, etc.
funny enough, unlucky sims cannot die other than by old age because if they die any other way, the grim reaper just laughs at them because the unlucky sim's misfortune is just "too entertaining" for the grim and everyone else, and he doesn't want to take that misfortune away.
AGAAAAIN!! why does it FEEL like TS4 is LACKING in so many LOSER / BAD LUCK TRAITS?! (i know why. it's so "everyone can feel like a winner" 'cos TS4 is for heckin' wholesome and cozy plays) but i feel the loser trait is also another we need. whilst it's similar to unlucky, it still has some pretty funny differences. (as it's more than just not winning stuff, but it's also just being pathetic in general)
loser attributes:
losers will have lower chances of having success.
losers are more likely to receive a negative event at work/school.
when receiving opportunities, losers will have a higher chance of failing.
losers will break down in tears if something negative happens to them.
losers complain more in a conversation.
losers are less likely to win games against other sims like chess and video games, but the opponent having the loser trait increases their chance of winning.
losers are very unlikely to win fights.
losers will get more potent "winner" moodlets when they manage to win games.
losers will also get "winner" moodlets when they get promoted.
instead of getting a "win a game" wish, the losers' wish will instead state "be a winner, for once."
if a loser loses a game, they can "whine about being a aoser" to other sims. ambitious sims will not react well to the interaction.
if a loser manages to win a game, they can "boast about finally winning something!" to other sims.
losers are at a slight disadvantage in all majors while studying at college.
if a loser has the "splash" interaction used on them while swimming in a pool, they will pitifully plead with the sim splashing them to stop rather than getting irritated or angry.
losers are more likely to lose a brawl
i am glad i'm seeing this opinion more common but the CONSTANT SMILING of the sims in TS4 is something that's getting on everyone's nerves. they can, at least, give us the "no sense of humor" trait to somewhat combat against the happy freaks! this trait is pretty self - explanatory, they simply don't enjoy humorous / goofy interactions. funnily, they have the social interaction to "bore" other sims to "death" -- which will cause the target sim to fall asleep lol.
another one that's kinda weird to not have in TS4... we have a gloomy trait, but that's not the same as over - emotional. hot - headed & gloomy only affects anger & sadness. over - emotional affects all moods. whilst TS3 one is quite similar to TS4's gloomy, i still think TS4 having some kind of over - emotional trait that just boosts all moods and make them act out on said emotions would be good.
pretty self - explanatory, these sims hate technology and wants to avoid it. i think this is a good one to have? especially for maybe elder sims. the prob i feel why TS4 would never add this one is 'cos, annoyingly, most sims have the idle animation where they'll look at their phones every 5 seconds. hell, even werewolves will do it while they're raging lmao. but maybe that idle animation can be disabled for sims with this trait?
anyway TS3 had a lotta traits (some that do appear in TS4 as well!) there might be some that i didn't mention here which should be included in TS4. but i think these are the very choice picks that like should ABSOLUTELY be in the game. in fact, many of these should've already been in the game!
#✏️ - 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐋𝐔𝐌𝐁𝐎𝐁 // [ooc]#// god .. going over this ... just keeps reminding me why i prefer TS3 LOL xD

Here's a smoother mesh default for TS2 base game sculpture Apple Of The Eye aka Big Apple. Polycount increased from 665 to 877.
I've thrown in four add-on items and recolours - these will work for the original mesh, too (there could be some minor issues happening on the base part though. Original UV layout is not great).
✦ Big Apple Default, add-ons & recolours | Download (SFS)
You may recognize the incense burner pot mesh, it's a tweaked palm planter from TS3 Jazz Age Living.
Incense sticks are a separate decor item (included). Tips glow in the dark, object is shiftable and has one slot, where you can place a smoke effect. You can find effects here on MTS (I use the one called "Lamp Smoke").
Enjoy! 🎀

Forging On - Metalsmithing Station
Steel yourself and strike while the iron is hot! With an anvil and the proper body skill, a sim may forge various components, wares, tools, and even weapons and armor.
Download Metalsmithing - SFS
Download Auto Tool Update - SFS

See under the cut for details and instructions, or visit the Keep link for the same and more images.
REQUIRED OTHER SUN&MOON SETS: ● Refine And Shine – Metal Ingots, Shovel Tool ● All Fired Up – Fire Grates ● Great Grains – Field Sickle Tool ● Cheese Please – Cheese Knife ● Gone Fishin’ – Fillet Knife ● Mining 3.0 – Pickaxe ● Rainy Day Savings – Metal Safes/Strongboxes ● It’s A Trap! – Animal Traps
THE ANVIL: This is the station used for metal smithing. It comes in two versions, one that is a whole set up of anvil on stump with quenching barrel, and the other that is just an anvil to be placed anywhere. Of course if you choose just the anvil, be aware that the animation may be off depending on the height of the surface it is placed.

BANKS While the files for the banks themselves are not included in the download, the metalsmith station is capable of making three fully functioning metal banks. ● Skyrim Metal Safe ● Skyrim Strongbox Safe ● Witcher Metal Safe
SWORDS/DAGGER: Based off of Paladin's Dueling Swords, but heavily modified, new weapons are available for use by sims teen and older. All swords and the dagger may perform the following actions: ● Challenge: This action allows two sims to spar with swords. They will continue to do so until they reach motive failure, but the action can be interrupted at any time. ● Practice: This action allows a sim to practice their sword work and footing and thus gain mechanical (dexterity) skill. Note that the sword will “disappear” from where it has been placed with this action, representing a sim has it in use. ● Kill: This action allows the current selected sim to have a brief fight with another sim and the target sim will die at the end of the fight. Use with caution, death is always the outcome for the target sim. ● Grab: Standard Grab function that adds a sword into a sim’s inventory. It is enabled for visitors, as well as children. So deliveries can be made, or thievery can happen. The grab in non-autonomous however. All Swords use NixedSims Accessory Swords from her Training Dummies V3 set, and retain their original GUIDs. If you have these already in your game you can delete them from this set. Each Sword utilizes 5 packages. All swords share the FIGHT AREA package but must have their own Object, Accessory, and Actions Packages. Different swords cannot share the latter 3.
IDOLS: Models picked based on aspects they can represent rather than any real world religion. These objects are a combination of the available actions found on KevinHope's Cross and Rebecah's Bible. Each comes in gold/silver/bronze recolors. ● Azura ● Dibella ● Mara ● Meridia ● Mermaid ● Watcher
WASH BASINS: Two items for hygiene and cleanliness. The tub is enabled for pets, and the sink is a place anywhere style. ● Metal Washtub - Bathtub ● Basin Sink
ARMOR: These smithed items can be sold to a sim who can then use it for an actual clothing grant to their wardrobe. It is one time use, thus incentivising a smith to continue to make more. There are five levels of armor that require different base metals: Iron, Steel, Gold, Mithril, and Chain. Armors DO NOT come on prebuilt display racks. They float in the air and are meant to be slotted into a display.
STATIC/SLOTTED ITEMS COMPONENTS: Components are to be used as parts in the making of other items. They are purely deco and intended for sale or further refinement. ● Chain ● Nail Box ● Spigot ● Hoops ● Findings ● Horse Shoe Set ● Wooden Bits and Bobs
INVENTORY TOOLS: The metalsmith may craft any autonomous inventory tool from Sun&Moon sets. The versions of the auto tools included in this download are updated with restocking code ans should replace any previous versions in any set released thus far. *Not pictured: Shears
COOKWARE/KITCHEN UTENSIL SETS: A set of items that when opened places single items into a sim's inventory. These items are considered inventory tools for future stations, as well as decorative slotted items. ● Cookware Set Contains: Stock Pot, Gratin Pan, Pancake Frying Pan, Roasting Pan, Sauce Pan, Saute Pan, and Wok. ● Kitchen Utensil Set Contains: Spatula, Dipper, Slotted Dipper, Ladle, Large Fork, and Whisk.
TABLEWARE SET/PLACE SETTINGS: A set of flatware, charger, and drinking vessel to set upon your sims tables. Sims will place their bowl/plate on the charger and eat. Each set has an invisible recolor of the drinking vessel/flatware so that they can be hidden. With everything but the charger plate hidden, players can decorate around the plate using five different slots with tableware or items of their choosing. Comes in three styles; Lower Class, Middle Class, and Upper Class. Each set has a different drinking vessel and is made of a different metal.
CANDLE HOLDERS: A set of various candle holders with functional slots. ● Fancy Candlestick - Tall and Short ● Fancy Candelabrum ● Simple Candlestick ● Simple Candle Dish
BONUS ROUND ARMOR STANDS: You can’t have your armor just floating there in the air (unless it’s an enchanted shop of course) so you have to have something to put it on. Some basic wooden armor stands that are found in the catalog under Surfaces > Shelves. The Armor stand has two slots to pop in Armor of your choice and a sword of your choice. The Chainmail Shirt stand had one slot. CHAIN DISPLAY STAND: Can't have floating chains either, so store them here. Five slots for five lengths of chain. Can be found in the catalog under Surfaces > Shelves.
REFERENCE TOME: A handy dandy knowledge source to know how to craft various items. This will tell you what metals and how many of that metal you will need for each item. Can be found in Hobbies > Knowledge.
REPO FILES: This set is HEAVILY respositoried. A list of all main files follows:
● Sun&Moon-Smithing_Product_TablewareSet_LowerClass ● Sun&Moon-Smithing_Product_TablewareSet_MiddleClass ● Sun&Moon-Smithing_Product_TablewareSet_UpperClass ● Sun&Moon-Smithing_Product_Cookware_StockPot ● Sun&Moon-Smithing_Product_KitchenUtensil_Spatula ● Sun&Moon-Smithing_Product_Findings ● Sun&Moon-Smithing_Product_Candlestick_Fancy_Tall
DUPLICATE FILES: All items from other creator’s sets have been renamed to match the file structure, and have been given additional restocking code or other minor updates. They retain their original GUIDs and should be removed in favor of these versions of files.

#9 Sims Lane
As promised, tonight I’m showing you guys the Mashuga family. According to their Maxis bio – which was sparse, to say the very least! – they just moved into town. But fear not! I have given them a background!
But first, their lovely house. It’s sort of TS1’s version of the Alto’s pink mess. As always, I made a few minor changes to it. One was the roof. I used that octagon roof that came with TS3, and added a bit of trim. Then I added that fountain in the front yard. And changed out the doors – both in front and back.
Then in the back, I used that fence from Lucky Palms – to give them some privacy when they use their pool. And I added a parking space for Frankie’s pride and joy. I was going to put that out front, but there were some issues with it, so it ended up here.
And finally I gave them a bit of an upgrade on their pool, and got rid of the weight machine – because I have a rule that Sims can’t have stuff like that on their properties. It’s why I give them gyms, dammit. I expect them to get off their lazy behinds, jog to the local gym, and pay the damn fees if they want to work-out. There are no free-rides in the samkat Universe.
And here’s the lovely couple themselves! With their poodle, Pinkie! Anyway, in TS1 Frankie was an extreme sports talent agent, while Sylvia Marie was a Psychic Phone friend. And according to the Maxis bio, they just got married and moved to town. So, remembering that Mama Hicks lost all of her Miss SimCity winnings to her Psychic Phone friend, I decided to include that in these Sims’ bio. So, Sylvia Marie – after cheating some poor schmuck out of her life savings – took the simoleons and went on a girls’ trip to Lucky Palms. After a night of drinking and having fun, she was at the Blackjack table when she looked up and locked gazes with Frankie – who was in town, trying to drum up some business. (He’s now a music talent scout). It was LUST at first sight! With capital letters, no less! Well, after a few – 10 or more – drinks, they staggered to a nearby wedding chapel, where an overweight, Elvis impersonator tied their marital knot! It was a semi-magical moment – until Sylvia-Marie puked all over the organist. After they sobered up, they decided “What the hey! This works!” So they took the rest of Sylvia-Marie’s ill-gotten loot and bought this charming little house. Which Sylvia-Marie immediately painted a lovely shade of pink to match Frankie’s army of pink flamingos. Ain’t love grand?
In the next post, I’ll show you the inside – which Sylvia-Marie decorated all by herself!
And here’s their Christmas card photo with the entire family! Brings a tear to the eye, it does! Of course, it might have been better if Pinkie hadn’t decided to give her butt to everyone, but dogs will be dogs. Even in the Sims.

Simblr Community Challenge by @ amelettes
Rules - Tag some people, and let the community bonding commence!
I was tagged by @oydis-cc - thanks so much you’re a sweetie <3
How long have you been playing the Sims?
I started with TS1 wayyyyy back when I was like 13, I had a bunch of mods from OtakuWorld to have the Sailor Scouts in my game + a bunch of planetary-themed decorations because I wanted them all to live in a house together, but my computer crashed hard shortly after and I never got around to playing again. A friend gave me access to their copy of TS3 in liiiiiike 2014 and I played that for a little while but then got hooked back into World of Warcraft XD. I’ve played TS4 off and on since just before Realm of Magic came out, so about 2 years now.
How long have you been a Simblr, and why did you become one?
I’ve only had a simblr since around September of last year, and I made it to isolate my sims stuff from my ‘main’ tumblr blog which is a space where I express myself in ways I wouldn’t necessarily want a minor who stumbled on it via my simblr to find.
What type of Simblr are you?
A Disaster.
Which generation of Sims do you primarily play?
I’m exclusively playing TS4. I may post some of the stuff I’ve done in Fallout 4 or 76 on my simblr fairly soon, since I’ve been getting the itch to start re-building my ridiculous Vault design :3
Tagging: @mazaisims, @semeisims, @theworstsimblr, @disasterbri and anybody else who wants to do it! (no obligation!)

Happy Simblreen!
For those who are not so much into the spooky aspects of the season, or wanted something less Halloween specific, I offer Autumn Cottage for TS3. This 20x15 lot is a remake of a house I uploaded to the Exchange 5 years ago called Little Pumpkin House. Mostly minor cosmetic changes were made, but I wanted to participate in simblreen even though this is all new to me - so this is my contribution!
DOWNLOAD
Autumn Cottage Sims3Pack: http://simfileshare.net/filedetails/329699/
Autumn Cottage Package: http://simfileshare.net/download/346465/
Three BRs (one decorated as a nursery), two bathrooms. No CC because all my CC is installed as packages and wouldn't show up for you anyway. All of my EA content is installed via the Launcher, so if yours are decrapped packages furnishings will probably not show up either so you can just decorate the house as you wish. I used a coffee table, the Shuttered Window, & a Peony bush from World Adventures & the Young Maple Tree and a chair from Late Night, but most of the furnishings are Base Game or from Supernatural & Seasons. I also used some items from the following free sets from the EA Store:
Free TS3 Store Holloween sets available at http://store.thesims3.com/setsProductListing.html?scategoryId=12082 Free TS3 Store Autumn Sets available at http://store.thesims3.com/setsProductListing.html?scategoryId=12203
If you download feel free to do whatever you want with it except take credit for the original build and/or re-upload to pay sites. :)

Stone Super Set
I like to build cave homes. Problem with that is that many of the stone pieces and such are not slaved to one another and recoloring them all is time consuming and tedious. Part of that was solved when Michelle slaved all of these together. That took care of most of the deco bits, but what about all the actual functional stuff? No one slaved any of that, so I’ve spent some time gathering most of it (I’m sure there’s some out there I’ve missed still) and bringing it all together. Everything in the set is controlled by one couch with two subsets for easy of recoloring everything. So now when you’re making those stone and cave recolors, you’ll only recolor two master meshes (the couch and the waterfall rock from Marvine’s set) instead of dozens of individuals. Credit remains with the original creators of the meshes, I just brought them together, and in some cases made minor mesh and mapping edits.
All in all, you get 77 files of various things.
Sourced Sets: Aussie Topenders Bali Ponds Beos Catacomb Pieces Beos Catacomb Tub Castaway Stone Furniture HopeB/Katy's Waterfall Rock Slide Khakidoo's Stone Furniture and Nannette's Rock The Neander Stone Furniture Rebecah's Toddler Version of Speedy's Bed Simsistic Stone Dining Simtones Furniture/Build Items NOTE: I have not done them all (like the living room set) because I'm targeting more "natural" looking structure. However if people would like these done too, it is easy to add them in. Speedy Furniture/Lights/Build Items (All of them from BSZ I could find) Svealyn Candles (Also from BSZ) TSM Gnomestone Seat TSM The Magnum Mysterium Dining Chair TSM Wizard's Throne TS3 Grotto Hot Tub (Tiki & wall removed) Holy Simoly Waterfall Fountain and Rock Pool Spa Anything/on I've left off the list, I apologize. It's a lot. Self Made Completer Items: Crib, Dishwasher, Kids's Activity Table, OFB Display podiums/shelves, Two alternate versions of Speedy's tub, Super Mini Fridge, Wall Shelves, Toddler Potty, Trash Compactor, A Neander furniture style dining chair and Stacked Stone Counter. I've probably forgotten to list a few here as well.
Your mileage may vary on how you like the textures in how they lay on objects, but I included original textures from creators as well as all the usual rock ones I like to use, matching ones to the Sun&Moon Miner's Rock, all along with a selection of furs.
I have not done any of the ones that have been done HERE, because no need. Easy to recolor those sets already and they are mostly decorative whereas these are mostly functional. You'll still end up recoloring thus only 2 files to match all rock things. However, I am providing recolors of the waterfall rock to match the functional bunch above, enjoy that as well.
An internal folder of pictures for each item, along with a key has been provided for full previews of everything, which I kindly thank Xia for getting for me, as well as for testing. Also thanks to Sunni who fixed the dreaded bathroom file recoloring issues.

TS4 to TS3 - Pt2 Dump
This set is the spiritual successor to my very first TS4 Conversion dump way back whenever.
Included are 6 buy mode objects to tickle your dark fancy -- everyone say Thank You! to @kandiraver-sims for extracting the coolest parts for me! <3
Boho Circles Rug
I love these City Living rugs. I couldn’t decide exactly how I wanted them, so there’s a bunch of variations included with 1 - 4 circles, fully recolorable of course (suck on eggs, EA).
Dead Cowplant as Decor
As depressing as this is, I still thought having cowplant skeletons was cute...ish. I’m still jealous as eff that you can actually grow these in TS4, rather than just buying them full-grown. Grrr.
Recolorable variation included. Found under Plants and Lawn Ornaments.
Garlic Garland
While it’s utter poppycock that garlic can do anything to vampires other than make them miss being able to enjoy garlic bread, the superstitious still tend to hang these silly garlands of garlic around their homes. Now your TS3 vampires can too, for the sheer irony.
Found under Plants and Wall Art. Fully recolorable variation included.
2 Plasma Trees, as Outdoor Light and Misc Storage
I wish my lazy butt could have done better with these, but whatever, they’re still cool. Thanks, @kandiraver-sims!
I still don’t understand why EA decided to make TS4 plasma purple of all colors. So I added a RED variation -- you know...the color of BLOOD, EA. >_> I also used the TS3 plasma fruit mesh to hang on the tree, rather than the TS4 ones, for continuity. A wee bit too big, but oh well sue me -- these trees be RIPE!
One is an Outdoor Light, so you know the drill with that.
The other is a Plant, but I tweaked it so that it’s functional Misc Storage you can plop all your plasma fruit and whatevers into!
Uses the WA EP storage script, but no EPs required, just have your base game patched to 1.67. Click the tree, and drag and drop your crap into the inventory. Viola!
Organ Piano (Late Night EP REQUIRED)
We’ve come to the coup de gras, the crescendo, climactic finish! \(^0^)/
When I first saw it in the TS4 Vampire trailers my jaw was literally on the floor, and I’ve been gnawing at the bit ever since. I could KISS @kandiraver-sims for extracting this for me! AHHHH!!! <3
Again, LATE NIGHT IS REQUIRED, since EA is lame and that’s the only way to use pianos in TS3. I cloned it from the Grand Piano not the Keyboard, but I made the footprint small so it’s not taking up a crapton of tiles. I also added a bunch of decor slots.
Fully recolorable. with different music notes included -- according to Google they’re from Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D Minor, so hey, rock on. \m/
So that’s that. Enjoy, everybody!
And thanks to everyone who tested the piano and tree for me~~! :)
