[ ☆ MagicTown Lots ⋆ 💫 .˚ TESTERS WANTED ☆ ]

🌟 Finally, the download links are ready, you will be able to test the MagicTown terrains and I did say TEST only. I will be as explicit as possible but I know that I am sending you into battle.

🗡️💥 And even if it’s with great regret, but most of you may encounter bugs, missing content not showing and a portion of you will never come back from the bloodbath of the pink soup ahead. 🩸

🏚️ For those who wanted to explore MagicTown, it’s too early. I want to make sure that the files will install all the necessary content before publishing the neighborhoods links. So I ask for BRAVE VOLUNTEERS to TEST only the terrains first. These brave warriors can send me (in private messages please, I wouldn’t want to overwhelm the blog) their feedback and their bug images, so that I can determine which content should be downloaded separately.

You will ABSOLUTELY NEED Mootilda’s  Sims 2 Pack Clean Installer

Last September, an MTS member agreed to test the terrains after seeing the pictures posted on one of the site's forums. From her experience, I already know that two sets need to be downloaded separately because the necessary meshes aren't installed from the files :

Buggybooz’s Nook and Niches set (Nook Folly Garden included)

You may also need marvine's Stone modular Stairs

All the files represent 1.4GB but DON'T PANIC, the total weight in your Downloads folder WILL NOT be 1.4GB, since many of these contents are used multiple times and have therefore been packaged multiple times. You will just have to be careful to install all the CCs in the same folder to ignore/replace the files that are repeated and thus avoid duplicates.

📦 Even though most of you are used to this of exercise, I still advise you to do a backup of your files and install all the custom content in a separate folder, the time to test the lots in an empty neighborhood. You will then be able to compensate for the missing or incomplete content before re-dispatching everything manually or with Delphy’s Download Organizer.

Vernon’s Vault

Magictown was always my favourite part of the Sims. Here is Vernon’s Vault in all it’s ruined glory.

Since the gloomy lot was hard to re-imagine without CC, I re-imagined it before it fell to ruin. This community lot has a sound stage, restaurant, bar, and art gallery all surrounded by the swamp owned by Vernon.

☠️ Vernon's Vault 🕷️

Vernon, the Pallbearer, came to the swampy side of Calamity Forest when it was nothing more than graveyards. He filled in the especially mucky sections, and up from the earth rose what he described as a "vault of reanimated fun".

🌲 It's the only house that I really furnished. Two bedroom, one for parents and another for a melancholic child/teen. I thought it could be a nice home for the Goth family, if they wanna live Old Town. 🪦

🎉 The Coldwind Meadow

Once a dairy pasture, this quiet meadow was usually avoided by local farmers following the unexplained disappearance of their cows. Recently, a carnival blew into town and set up several unusual attractions on this mysterious site.

It's even more Magic than before... 🍭

Something is missing... what is it...? ah yes, that small piece of land, lost in the Calamity Forest... but I won't rest playing in peace until the MagicTown is complete !

☆ MagicTown part 9 ☆

🏠 After our long journey into the Calamity Forest, we need to visit some places to stay. We'll start with the 92 Creepy Hollow

🧹 Old Man Lum's 🍄

This ancient cabin has remained vacant for generations. Its first and only inhabitant, Old Man Lum, was driven insane by his experiments with enchantments, and was last seen wandering the streets of Old Town muttering something about flamingos.

☠️ A small house with very basic furniture. I didn't wanted to add to many thing to replace the stone carving or the gnome making stations. In my game, I would add a pumpkin carving station or a candle making one, but those objects need specific download. It's only up to you to find what suits you best. 🎃

This dilapidated, defunct boarding house is ready for some loving care and a good tile cleaner.

"More fun than was previously thought possible" is the purported motto of this clown-themed carnival. In addition to the exciting rides, the theme park features several mini-golf challenges.
