Hi everyone hope you all are doing well. I forgot to post this yesterday since I was so tired and overwhelmed. Just personal stuff had an interview of course I give it my best. Its for adult services I mentioned before for this month that I am on the Spectrum and I feel like burden which I shouldn't because I want to help others and make other people happy but sometimes I get confused or my anxiety builds I have a breakdown. I'm trying my best to learn how to control it anyway I can. I did got a update for therapy so going to take it step my step. I know I'm not a great person sometimes but I do try to make better descions it's not easy being an adult there are challenges we do get through then and it takes some time. I wish I wasn't so awkward to people and have more confidence in myself but I am glad that there are people here for me and truly do care no matter how hard things get. Yeah like I mention it before this week not the greatest for me but I'll get back on my feet and try harder and draw and working more of my new blog for RP which I am super excited about.

Where have I been?

So, I couldn’t even begin to remember the last time I was here.  My life was so crazy, working 10 hour days, trying to keep my crazy kids in line, running a household from the road...I barely had time to sleep properly, let alone keep up with a blog that I enjoyed.  So, several things fell by the wayside.  Then, one day a several months ago, I almost could not get out of bed.  Not because of the ever-present dark clouds that had moved in and refused notices to vacate, but  because my knee was so swollen from driving a vehicle that was not designed to be driven by a larger lady the day before that it refused to support my weight properly.  It also woke me up.  I started rethinking a few things, what priorities should I have been focusing on, etc..  It took me a few weeks-being chronically understaffed at work means being easily distracted from important things like my health-but I finally woke up to the damage my work had done to my body.  I essentially retired in June from my dream job because my body could not handle the demands anymore.  I am trying to come to terms with how my life has changed, and dealing with my new levels of ability...mostly sitting down and trying not to cry. I have worked at some level since I was 17.  20 full years of being employed, so to “suddenly” not have the capability to sit, stand, walk, lay down or squat for the most part is really jarring.  And, days after I left, I found myself unable to grip the steering wheel without pain.  A doctor informed me that I have likely developed carpel tunnel syndrome.  So there went writing, typing, driving, holding most things for any significant length of time. 

The one really good thing, I guess, is that I have been forced to stop multi-tasking at every turn. Typing this tome is taking the better part of an hour so I can stop and rest every couple of lines.  I now have the time to properly research my novel, catch up on my Netflix queue, coupon like I mean it, and figure out the ins and outs of the welfare system.  I also was able to advocate for my daughter to get into a fantastic charter school that she is already flourishing at.  She loves it and I love that she is no longer stressed out about school.  Which is even better because the school she would have gone to was under Secure Status until after 7 pm today.  Most of the students and staff where locked in because of an active shooter a couple of blocks away.  I am glad everyone was able to go home, but I would have been a basket case if she was enrolled there.

Anyway, I am back. I am still pasty as ever, and I have a cane now, but I am still into art, science, politics, books and history.  I am still me, it just takes me longer to get around.  Sorry for the rant, but I felt I owed the 3 of you that missed me an explanation.
