Blitzø x reader - Jealousy 🥀

Watching from your spot in the bleachers, sat beside Moxxie and Millie, you let your pride and admiration for Blitzø burst out of you in the form of screaming, cheering and clapping. Of course Blitzø just had to participate in the pain games. You watched as he showed off his skills, stamina and strength all day during the pain games and, to put it simply, you were in awe of him. He and that shady farm hand, Striker, were neck and neck all day. Sure, you’ve seen him at work before, you’ve watched him take the lives of so many living people, you’ve watched him take on unexpected enemies with ease…but this was just a game. Some harvest festival bullshit, that’s what he called it. If that’s all it is, why is he trying so hard to beat some dumb farm hand? Regardless of his reasoning, you supported him through and through, cheering him on from the audience as Stolas announces him and Striker to be tied for first place. “FUCK YEAH, BLITZ!!! WHOOOO!!!”

Hearing his name bellow from your chest in a high pitched yell caught his attention, head turning towards the sound as his eyes lock onto you sitting in the crowd. A smile tugs at his lips as he lifts one of his big hands to give you a wave. Simultaneously, Striker shoots you a devious glare, smirking as he winks at you and waves his hand back at you. The sight of him looking at you with those eyes just…made you shiver. What a creep. Did he really think you were waving at him? As if! But now you notice Blitzø frowning, teeth bared and hands now balled up into tight fists of rage. He was fuming, looking as if he was actively growling and you could see him shaking slightly.

Finally, Blitzø stomps his way off the stage and is on his way to you. This prompts you to jump up and go to him. Carefully shuffling through the crowd, you find Blitzø still looking more pissy than usual. “Hey, you kicked ass, babe! You totally deserved first place. Fuck that other guy.” Your immediate shit talking brings a smirk to Blitzø’s face for just a second before it turns back to a bitter frown. “Blitz… You did your best and I think your best is waaaaay better than that stupid, tacky cowboy and-“

Without letting you get another word in, without even worrying about the fact that you’re in a crowd of wrathians right now, Blitzø grips your wrist and yanks you into him. His lips come smashing into yours, almost painfully at first, but it soon becomes a sloppy, soft, open mouth kiss. And then his other hand falls on your hip for a moment before sliding down to gently fondle your ass. As your lips move messily against his, a surprised ‘hmph!’ comes from your throat when you feel his hand give your butt a squeeze. Quickly pulling back and sucking in a breath, “Blitzø! What’s gotten into you?” You ask with a shy smile, watching as he stumbles further towards you, practically drunk off your lips. “I’m better than him?” He repeats what you had said just a minute ago, his eyes now hungry and darting all over your face and body. “Psh! Of course you are.” Responding with another quick kiss to his lips, you watch as his smile gradually widens, his eyes never leaving your now blushy face.

Then it dawns on you- oh my god he’s jealous. You think back to when you had first met Striker and Millie’s parents, the way Striker was looking you up and down, when he kissed the back of your hand and called you ‘gorgeous’. Yuck. Makes you cringe just thinking about him touching you. What was it he said to you? Something like... ‘You probably have a man, considering how good lookin’ you are…but you should forget about him and come visit me in my room tonight, little one. I’ll show you what a real man is like.’ That’s probably what has Blitzø so annoyed and needy for you…and so pissed that he was tied for first place with that asshole.

Suddenly, Blitzø is dragging you along behind him as you both push through the crowd and make your way back to Millie’s parents’ house. “You okay?” You question softly from behind him. “I will be.” He responds immediately, you can hear the smirk he’s wearing from his tone of voice. In a flash, he’s got you into the guest room he was staying in, flattened out against the bed with him on top of you, his lips unforgiving and desperate against your own.

“Oh~ Jeez, Blitz…Im only yours. You know that right?.” Your lips part finally but he moves back in fast, his lips meeting your neck and slowly kissing down your chest. “Mhm. Tell me more.” He commands between kisses then lets his long, forked tongue drag along your exposed collar bone. “Ah~! I’m all yours. You’re the only one I w-want…fuck.” You lose all focus as Blitzø’s tail slithers up and around your thigh, the pointed end of it gently swiping up and down your crotch. “Blitzzzzz…” Your own moan surprises you a bit but when you look down at Blitzø still enjoying the taste of your collar bone, he’s obviously enjoying this waayyyy too much.

“C’mon…tell me more.” He carefully but firmly grips your face in his hand, his face just inches from yours now and he looks deadly serious, his big eyes searching your face. He’s making you look at him, despite how red your face is and how badly you want to find another spot to rest your gaze. “Who do you belong to?” It comes out of him in a low growl, his mouth back against your skin. “You. You, baby. I’m all yours, Blitz.” You take a moment to enjoy the feeling of his teeth scraping against your neck. “Listen…If this is about when Striker hit on me earlier, you know I-“

“Don’t… don’t say his name. Ever again.” His tone is almost frightening but the expression of pride and satisfaction on his face makes you bite down hard on your lip, your legs quivering as his tail continues to tickle up against your inner thigh. “S-s-sorry…” is all you can mumble out before impulsively reaching up to grab his face and bring it close to yours, continuing the make out session. “Keep saying my name.” He groans into the kiss as your hands begin to travel his body, feeling up his chest and down his sides.

“F-fuuck~ Blitz. Oh! Hmmmm~ Blitz, I love you…I’m all yours, B-Blitzzzzz~.” And now he just can’t control himself, physically or verbally. He completely unravels right before your eyes, huffing as his hands grip your hips, tugging at the waist band of your pants. “Fuuuuuck~ you’re so hot. Yeah, baby. You’re aaaaalllll mine. Only I get to have you like this, only I get to kiss that pretty mouth of yours.” The dirty talk is starting to get to both of you, pulling whines and whimpers from you as Blitzø starts to literally rip your clothes- not fully rip them off of you but his grip on the belt loops of your jeans right now is almost scary. The tighter he grips, the more you hear the seams of the clothing popping.

Just when you thought he would finally yank your pants off and fuck the shit out of you, Blitzø pulls back, checks his phone, then uses the waist band of your pants to pull you up to your feet. He pushes you towards the door, placing a hard smack to your ass before again nudging you forward. “W-what? Where are we-“ You ask, confused and weak at the knees. He holds up his phone, showing a text from Moxxie about Striker and his plan to kill Stolas. “We got a tacky cowboy to get rid of.” You sigh and trudge forward, disappointed and extremely horny now.

“Don’t worry, I’m not done with you.” Blitzø grabs ahold of your hand and gives you a flirty look as he continues walking. He gestures back at the bed behind you two. “I’ll be sure to pound you into that mattress so hard you won’t even remember that piece of shit’s name.”

thinking about how cool and awesome moon stone cassandra couldve been if she wasnt given the world’s worst villain motivation

dropping my whole au / rewrote of season 3 below

uh preface is im sleepy and its almost midnight, so like sorry if some parts dont make sense or whatever

uhh basically, instead of cass trying to like reach her destiny or whatever as like her Main motivation and the only reason to why she Evil and Malicious ive changed it so its more mixed in with her desire to protect rapunzel. i think moonstone cass is cool and i like the idea of her but i really just think her execution was poor mostly because it wasn’t built up as much as it shouldve been.

rewrote cass’s character slightly just so there more empathize on her idolization of her mother, and so when she learns the truth of why mother gothel left her, the knee jerk reaction to blame raps makes a little more sense.

Anyways, Season 3 cass deals with a lot of her issues, i think on the journey to get the moonstone something something happens and cassandra is told that if rapunzel comes in contact with the moonstone she will Implode. Like die. Return to being the sundrop. and cass is like oh fuck, shit, balls, I need to Protect her from Dying. So out of her intense Need to protect Rapunzel she yoinks the moonstone, and (still slightly pissed at raps for stealing her mom but not really she’s just trying to figure out her emotions + rapunzel needs to get away away from this rock) she goes into Evil mode.

Her villain arc is partly fueled by her anger at her own situation, always in second place. her desire to feel love and cherished and important rather than being the 2nd option. However, it is also fueled by her need to provide safety to her friends ,, even if it’s not the smartest choice. Moonstone Cass devotes her entire identify to being the cliche villain, so no one feels bad if like the solution to destroying the moonstone is killing her. she knows that logically the Zhan Tiri is manipulating her but 1. she idgaf and 2. she needs to learn how to control the moonstone’s power so she doesnt hurt her friends.

Tbh boiled now, it’s just cass isnt obsessive with mother gothel and mother gothel leaving her to kidnap a baby because it made like no sense for her character. like instead, moonstone cass grabbles with her identify and place in the world, who she is outside of rapunzel. Also she wants to learn more about her past, yknow, who mother gothel was and is she Worth getting upset over. spoiler she figures out that no, her bio mom sucks booty

Anyways, throughout my version of season 3, cass is trying to figure out a way to destroy the moonstone. She visits Rapunzel often too and pretends to be evil just so she can check in. She angry at her mom but not so much on rapunzel, maybe a little bit but probably more to with simply trying to crave out her identify outside of rapunzel. Same general plot beats happen in s3, but shes more grief driven than anger driven i suppose.

Theres probably a lot i forgot to like, reformulate in this especially w s3 bc i havent had the time to rewatch it and collect my thoughts that well. But, uh, hope u enjoyed. might yap more about my personal gripes with the show and how i think it shouldve been written.

also to add on i suppose, at the end of the series she gets exiled from corona officially, but lowkey comes back to hang out and after like a year every1 is like yeah okay i guess.

im not sure if ill go back to finishing these so lemme write about the concepts i had in mind for those who're interested in readin about them...

the first gif was donnie telling casey how he figured out the estimates for everyone's ages with leo cutting in sayin "twins" (theyre not but yknow how leo is). i personally think theyre simply born in the same year (not like "oh im 5 minutes older" since how would they know?) which is enough for leo but i digress....mikey brings out a birthday cake and the turtles learn that casey doesn't even know what cake is (hilarious hijinks ensue)

second one is post-season 2 where the turtles are still moving to the new lair = donnie ignored his wounds all this time in favor of securing the lair, something he thinks is far more important than some silly cuts on his back. also medic leo!!! the reason there are no other brothers in the scene because leo is simply changing the wraps on don's back in the middle of the night because the former couldnt sleep :)

ok so like i get where ppl are coming from with the “the crew loves izzy” takes but also like. ok. i think that take involves a certain amount of reading very deeply into the text to a degree that is almost reading against the text at some points. it’s like when ppl pour all this energy into an underdeveloped and unportant side character—none of those layers ppl add to the character are strictly contradicted by the text, but it clearly wasn’t what the writer intended for anyone to really focus on. and yeah, death of the author, just bc the writers didn’t intend for ppl to think abt something that hard or care about it that much doesn’t mean we’re not allowed to do whatever the fuck we want. but bc i love analyzing the shit out of this show i do want to talk about WHY i think the textual support for this headcanon isn’t rlly there.

first of all. when archie is like “why are we trying so hard to save this guy, he’s kinda a dick” and jim’s like “yeah but he’s our dick.” rather than elaborate on what makes izzy special to them they’re like “it used to be that the crew all had each other’s backs no matter what and things were better back then” while reminiscing fondly about 1. olu and 2. that shot from season 1 where the whole crew is hanging out except for izzy who’s sulking in the background hating everyone. if this was supposed to be an “izzy’s a dick but we love him anyway” moment i would expect jim to talk about. yknow. izzy. instead to me ot comes across more like an “izzy’s a dick but crew is crew, we stick up for each other even if we don’t particularly like each other bc it’s us against the world” which isn’t as impactful from an izzy stanning perspective but i think makes for, like, an interesting allegory abt the queer community. we all gotta defend the rights of ppl in our community even if those specific ppl are dicks and we don’t get along with them.

second of all. after they save izzy’s life and get caught by ed they all leave the room and then a few minutes later a gun goes off. maybe someone saw ed leave the room before the shot was fired, but either way they think either ed just killed izzy or izzy just killed himself. and then they DO NOTHING ABOUT THIS. nobody checks on the body. they put all this effort into saving izzy’s life and then when their efforts are foiled they do not seem that bummed out about it. the next scene with any crew member in it is frenchie talking to ed on deck, and ed is like “go take the day off” and frenchie is like “oh nice!” and he’s like, confused and a little concerned about ed suddenly steering the ship rlly erratically, but he also seems pretty excited about getting some time off (after so many raids in a row i would be too lol). and THEN!!! in the next scene where we get the whole crew, they’re crowded in the hallway that leads out to the deck and the conversation they have isn’t “oh my god i can’t believe ed killed izzy after we cut off izzy’s leg” it’s “maybe ed’s better now? maybe killing izzy was all it took? he seems pretty cheerful for the first time in ages, maybe ed’s okay?” like literally they think ed just killed izzy and they are more worried about ed’s emotional state than they are grieving a beloved shipmate

then in 2.04 the crew B plot is so blatantly “the crew struggles to trust each other again but after seeing izzy be incredibly sad and pathetic they remember that a good crew has each other’s backs no matter what and so they extend izzy some unearned kindness and make him a new leg” that i’m amazed that other interpretations even exist. like literally they’re all drawn away from screaming at each other with weapons drawn by izzy making some dramatic announcement and then falling and then drunkenly crawling away and refusing their help rambling “youre born alone you die alone” over and over again or whatever melodramatic bullshit he said. like he’s muttering abt being miserable and alone and there’s a WHOLE ROOM OF PEOPLE!!! standing RIGHT THERE!!!! like “oh hey man do you need help standing up? no? no ur just gonna crawl away? um. ok.” and then they all go “well at least we’re not as fucked up as that guy. maybe we should do something nice for him?” like they are literally almost explicitly motivated by pity, not fondness. which yeah, it’s probably fucked up the way they use izzy’s new disability to sort of emphasize how pathetic he’s being, but i think the intention there is not that izzy’s pathetic bc he’s disabled, he’s pathetic bc he’s refusing to accept help. like the crew doesn’t go “yikes 😬 at least we don’t have his issues” abt izzy falling down when his makeshift prosthetic breaks, they go “yikes 😬” when he bats away their hands and goes on a weird mumbling tirade. definitely not the most sensitive way to depict izzy in this mental state, but that’s a different post probably. for the sake of THIS post tho: the takeaway i got from this scene is that the crew is remembering how to be there for each other again. it’s easier for them to let go of their paranoia and stop being so defensive and distrustful when izzy is there as an example of what happens when you’re TOO defensive and distrustful. “the crew makes a leg for izzy bc they care about him on a personal level” did not seem to be the focus of that story arc. to me.

in 2.05 we get our first ever instance of a character expressing appreciation for something izzy said or did or some trait he expressed (except for stede that time in 1.06 when izzy backed stede up on wanting to do a fuckery, which he only did specifically bc he wanted stede to fucking die and ed was taking too long), and it’s lucius saying he loves the shark izzy whittled. but during the entire episode leading up to that scene izzy is either in syede’s storyline where he’s not engaging with the crew or he’s getting snarked at by lucius, and not in a fun teasing way. like during that whole bit where izzy steals his cigarettes and calls him “twatty” lucius just looks so fucking annoyed and then uncomfortable. and then at the end of the episode izzy is sort of offering him advice and lucius is just sarcastically like “that sounds healthy.” and within this storyline, the point of these scenes isn’t rlly abt the developing and deepening relationship btwn izzy and lucius, it’s abt lucius individually coping w his trauma. izzy in this episode kinda exists in a weird place in the narrative, where he plays a supporting role in two different characters’ (lucius’s and stede’s) storylines without getting a central arc for himself. and both of those two storylines are only really about lucius and stede respectively, izzy is just there as this a static character who imparts wise advice. which is a very weird role for him to take, imo, but on top of that it doesn’t rlly contribute any sense of like, actual bonding btwn izzy and the other two.

and in 2.06 they just enjoy the show izzy puts on. they like listening to him sing. it’s all very cute! but also. i would not say that it shows the crew really cares about izzy?? i was in pit orchestra in high school and all the lead theater kids were always fucking assholes but they were also rlly good singers and it was fun to listen to them. i would mouth along to the words being sung by bitches who seemed to be trying to be sharpay evans irl for some bizarre fucking reason. like, cartoonishly mean girls. so like, the crew listening and dancing to izzy’s song doesn’t rlly sell “the crew loves izzy” to me. if anything, i would say that actually a stronger indicator of the crew loving izzy would be wee john sharing his makeup, and it’s a shame that we don’t get to see this happen. i mean that genuinely, i think that would’ve been a great moment to rlly strengthen izzy’s arc and it just. doesn’t exist on screen. and this isn’t like the finale where we know for a fact that they had to force a 40-minute episode into 30 minutes, Calypso’s Birthday has a runtime WELL under 30 minutes. it would’ve been SO easy to add another like 45 seconds of izzy and wee john getting ready together, but the only moment they show us is izzy walking in and discovering drag for the first time. it feels like the focus of this scene is less about a moment of connection between two characters and more about izzy individually having a gender breakthrough—and that carries on with the rest of the performance, too. bc it’s a performance, it’s everyone looking at izzy, it’s izzy a half step away from the crew as he puts on a show. the narrative framing of all this puts the focus entirely on izzy as a solo act, not on izzy as part of the crew. they like his performance, but we aren’t rlly shown evidence of the crew liking him as a person.

and that’s kinda it for izzy and the crew! up until he’s actively dying in ed’s arms and they’re all in the background silently weeping, at least (and btw, speaking from experience but uhhhh it’s pretty normal to cry when u watch someone die even if u have literally no connection to the person dying). even when they’re helping him back to the ship, ed is the one who notices he’s injured, nobody notices until he’s already giving izzy support. and i fully believe roach flips off izzy’s grave marker with fondness, but that’s also like. the only little personal moment any of them aside from ed has during the funeral. they do all laugh at his pinocchio joke earlier in the ep but idk if that one line can carry the entire weight of “the crew loves izzy” on its own. apparently there’s some shots during the zheng v stede fight where izzy can be seen in the background close to jim and archie??? but like, you can’t tell me a background shot of izzy standing near some crew members is strong textual support for the crew loving him. and i don’t think i need to argue abt any scenes in s1 bc literally every single crew member who was on that boat, ivan and fang included, was about to fucking drown him in the fucking ocean.

there is one single scene that gives actual strong evidence that anyone other than ed likes or cares about izzy. it’s the part at the end of impossible birds when fang is crying after ed shot izzy. so maybe fang specifically loves izzy, even tho izzy used to pull fang’s beard a lot and fang didn’t like it bc it hurt. idk.

here’s the thing tho. in 2.01 the writers use dialogue very effectively to tell us about the kraken era. the crew doesn’t say much, but what the do say tells us a lot: we know that archie thinks the kraken era is all normal pirating stuff, jim felt like the wedding raid (which seems like their only raid on a civilian ship and not a military one) was a step too far, frenchie is Not Okay but he’s doing a fantastic job repressing everything, izzy looks tired but the specific thing echoing in his head right before he starts crying in front of the crew is ed telling him “if you can’t do the job, someone else will.”

and we know fang, who’s known ed for decades, has never seen ed like this. and the specific thing he mentions as something he’s never seen from ed before is not batting an eye when ivan died. meaning that even before meeting stede, fang would’ve expected ed to have some sort of reaction to ivan dying.

and the thing about ivan is that we know next to nothing about him. he has very little dialogue in season one. we don’t even know how long he’s been working with ed—long enough to have at least heard about fang having to put his dog down bc “the love of a pet makes a man weak” when fang joined ed’s ship years ago, even if ivan wasn’t actually there yet at the time—but we do know that watching ed tell ghost stories was apparently the most open and available he’d ever seen ed get. so it doesn’t sound like ivan and ed were especially close. ivan was almost certainly less close to ed than izzy was.

if fang expected to see ed have some sort of reaction to the death of an ordinary crew member (who mightve been working for ed for decades, might’ve been working for him for months, we really can’t say) who wasn’t even that close to ed, seeing ed casually and unflinchingly inflict a life-threatening gunshot to his first mate must’ve been fucking earth-shattering. and interpretation is also supported by what fang actually says while he’s crying at the end of 2.01—it’s not “i can’t stop crying, izzy’s hurt” or “i can’t stop crying, izzy’s going to die.” its “i can’t stop crying, ed shot izzy.” more than the imminent demise of a crew member, fang is shaking and sobbing and traumatized because he can’t believe ed would do that.

and if that feels like a reach, just remember what happens after the leg is cut off, after the crew most likely believes ed shot izzy again, this time 100% fatally: the whole crew is crowded in the hallway, and fang asks “do we think he’s… better?”

fang is not sad about izzy. or if he is, it’s dwarfed by how much more sad fang is about ed.

in conclusion: have fun with ur headcanons i am not the boss of you but also there is less canonical textual evidence of the crew loving izzy than some of y’all seem to think k byeeeee

Neil gaiman is such a fucking hack. All he does is ride off Terry pratchets coattails, gets. I really hate the word cuck but idk how else to describe the Amanda Palmer situation. Cucked by women and regurgitates that into flat one dimensional characters. Queer baits and panders to trashy online YA level drivel types. He’s the definition of the word fandom. If men like his garbage they’re always the kind of guy who has a beard and lets you know he has a beard. He probably owns a kilt despite not being remotely Scottish. Funko pop owner for sure, has a mini tardis and probably that dr who scarf. A pentagram tattoo, maybe some runes.

And like. Neil gaiman is a capable writer do not get me wrong. But his idea of creative writing is theorizing about how the afterlife is all bureaucracy bc that’s never been done by a bitter atheist. It’s always secularly Christian too isn’t it? I mean i guess that’s what he knows.

So im saying this knowing that he’s not solely responsible for it, really, and having read the comics and not enjoyed them at all but continued to have done so out of some weird sense of obligation, I’m very angry to admit that I’m enjoying the stupid Netflix production of dead boy detectives. It is absolutely a mishmash of other similar cw-type shows, but that’s just the thing. I eat that shit up. Riverdale, Sabrina, teen dramas with obnoxious editing and low brow production value. I even liked the second season of good omens despite like, hating a solid 40% of the secondary character and plot direction. It’s sorta like eating little Debbie cakes yknow? Or binging reality tv.

DBDA is better than all that, like it’s a crust above but it’s wrapped in the trappings of really shitty things, and whenever it manages to be a bit better it’ll sink a smidge lower by referencing its ilk or doing exactly what you’d expect of it.

Whenever I see the ‘two skinny whitish boys with obvious sexual tension and an annoying women in the middle’ I stop and ask myself— does this writer have a track record of making the same dynamic.

An obnoxious woman is not a bad thing. She can be a good thing even, but if she’s a mirror image of a million other toxic characters that indicates two things: projection, or a formula. Especially when paired between two male characters that clearly interact in ways that urge the audience to say ‘they should kiss!’

Then she becomes an obstacle. It’s rare for a character in this role to rise above the narrative, and even rarer for authors to try and write one capable of that.

A lot of fans will see people hating on her and cry ‘misogyny!’ Instead of asking why she was written, and why hundreds of other past iterations and future clones of her continue to be written. A similar character is the empty lesbian who stands in both popular media and fanfiction to prove that the author is not just obsessing over gay men and throws a bone to the supposed lesbian audience as well.

And then you have the flat poc or other LBT, sometimes disabled characters who serve to act as a tick mark off a checklist. It’s lazy, it’s annoying. But that’s a whole different can of vaguely related worms

I think given the leaked potential song Blitzøs behaviour in the finale makes sense. Looking at stolas with total pity, trying to smile at him, and when Octavia points at him, Blitzø looks away, guilty as if any of stolas choices and family drama is his fault. When it actually is not. And to make it hurt more stolas is refusing to look at him, saying he would never choose him, and indirectly saying Blitzø brought no goodness to his life.

Blitzø feels like he has to be as kind and good to stolas from now on as possible, be his hero and provide him a happier life, no matter what stolas does to him, because stolas has trauma. Yknow what that reminds me of? His dynamic with Loona. Who, as the stolas stans screeched at anyone who dare merely point out Stella was a teen parent too, gets absolved with abuse apologism because she has a sad backstory.

In a way Seeing Stars showed what kind of ‘family’ dynamic Blitzø can hope for. Be verbally and physically assaulted by Loona for kindly asking her to try a little bit at life, in the free job he gave her, with plenty of compliments thrown in, and then be further intimidated and verbally put down by a second abuser, stolas, who blames Blitzø for all of his mistakes and problems with his daughter. Reminder of how absolutely terrified of stolas Blitzø was in that ep, despite him missing Via not being his or MnMs fault, it was Loonas for ignoring her. The entire episode he gets physically hurt, abused, and blamed for everyone else’s actions that aren’t his fault, and he does favours for them and apologises to them the entire time. At the end Loona hurts him again just for trying, and stolas gets a hug reward just for, existing. Blitzø and Octavia don’t owe these two abusive people apologies at all, and the writers and fandom hate them both openly, I wish i could save them. And any time I see human AU art of this “”””family””” I can’t help but wish I could save Blitzø from these crazy white people who expect endless servitude from him.

Season 2 is rightly called a season of Blitzø torture p*rn, and seeing stars was the beginning.

So what’s the takeaway message, if someone is abused by someone else and they abuse you—saying anything to them, even criticism, instead of coddling them, loving them, and giving them everything they want—makes you their “abuser” too and you must apologise? This show is fucking disgusting.

i’ll start with the second image. so the deal here is that my farmer samuel, as a “player”, has access to things like an inventory and ability to heal wounds by just eating food. he’s also in a magic contract with yoba where he gets extra powers, like higher pain tolerance, combat skills, and teleportation. there are costs of course, but it still makes samuel into a monster-slaying machine. which yoba needs them to be in order to help it do things like traverse the mines to find the missing pieces of itself in powerful monsters. problem is, samuel tends to get kind of scary when they’re in battle mode. they get lost in it.

for the first image, the big space tree snake is essentially yoba’s true form. this scene is meant to be part of a season finale kinda episode where Major Shit has gone and is going down. pelican town is being attacked by an enemy force, which i’m still trying to brainstorm on, but i think it’s gonna be a cult that thinks they’re following “yoba’s will.” that “will” being given to them by a mysterious otherworldly being that they think is yoba (but obviously isn’t).

anyway, things are looking pretty bad. town’s burning, most of the residents are being held under siege at the saloon where they evacuated to, and all the capable fighters like marlon and rasmodius are out of commission (not dead, just injured or something). the idea here is that samuel ends up last line of defense. but during a big dramatic anime fight scene, he gets very badly wounded. and yoba finally snaps and is able to find the power in itself to unleash its true form to protect everyone. yknow. classic cute hero shit like that. i love my cheese. :) 🧀

i was thinking of mr. qi being the main villain, pulling strings behind the scenes (like manipulating a cult into believing you’re yoba). i think of qi as an alien being like yoba, but they have beef with each other. BUT AGAIN, still thinking about it. like motivations n stuff. for instance, is qi doing this just for fun? or is he following the orders of someone or something even bigger? or is he just trying to bring back some kind of equilibrium to the universe? idk for sure yet.

none of these ideas i wrote in this post aren’t completely set in stone though. i might find something i like even better. who knows! thanks again for encouraging my ramblings. 💙

my heart goes out to episode 3 secret life grian because I'm kind of living it right now (watch out peeps, low-key a vent incoming!)

in a stream after the big win scar says he's not sure if he could do it again, the whole being alone and having no friends thing and i kind of know what he means. as a real person its hard not having friends because you have no emotional support or people to connect with etc etc etc. in game it was hard not having friends cause he couldn't lean on anyone for resources and always had to leave home and manufacture interactions for content rather than being able to multitask and go caving with a friend (like the "i left my diamonds right here!" bit in last life with grian and mumbo. its just a mundane task but the interaction has become iconic)

but we're talking about grian now. just- the state of this man. i related a little bit too much to him in this episode. he made the diagonal staircase creature the episode before and said it looked like his brain; mush. but then in episode 3 ended up getting the task to follow his old buddy from the previous season around and just having joel go "ok lol lame. this is awkward. we're not really best friends, he's just following me around" (disclaimer: i know its just for the bit and they're good friends irl) and then to have joels new best bud (aka lizzie his irl wife-) go "HAH! you got no fri-endsss~!" (this lives rent free in my head lol) and tease him the following is a compilation of moments i related to having recently drifted from a close friend of several years :) - watching joel bond with the mounders from afar and having him just go "one second grian, we're bonding" when just one season ago they would bond and say who was boogeyman or not at the beginning of episodes - finally thinking he's got a friend because of his task, joel saying he'll "let [him] know" when he takes damage and how much and "oh, you don't want me to hang out with you?" "no but you can go hang out at the top of the helter skelter alone if you want". thinking he had a friend to turn out he didn't. (its then still socially okay and funny that he refused to leave joel alone because its all a bit for the episode) - "he's my pet" "i think we're friends. i think we're best friends" the thinking we're best friends not being mutual - "one moment, grian" as grian's trying to talk to him and joels just doing his task. its the being put off as a second priority over other friends (made me weirdly frustrated despite knowing its all made up silly improv-d conflict between grown adults who are actually friends) - "heard something about a group of friends, maybe I'm now a part of it?" its socially kind of weird to do this irl but the. knowing a bunch of people you know are a like Friend Group and wondering why you're not included - "not even this enderman wants to be my friend! im gonna cry" not that relevant just felt silly and relatable - "am i just here to clarify rules; you guys don't want to be friends?" serving a functional purpose to a group, no ones actually finding you just for you and to chat and be friends (I've gotten messages from friends just needing me to settle arguments between other friends) - (after chanting fail at mumbo) "its just me, this is why i don't have friends" the finding yourself cringe at every turn and thinking wow this is why no one likes me. yknow as im typing this im thinking "wow this is why i have no friends, isn't it? im on tumblr using it as a diary rather than making friends and speaking to them about my issues or finding a therapist to work through my insecurities." - throughout the episode just hating everything he created and wanting to destroy it - the stairs and even later the egg (not relevant to having friends. well kind of but not really. but loneliness can make you act crazy its just the art block and frustration and disappointment in yourself and your failure to have a vision and properly bring it into fruition) - "i definitely won't back down on this, I'm committing fully to the egg" i have a bad habit of running away from friendships when i get scared of any slew of things or just don't like them anymore, hence why i no longer have friends :) - the fact each time he finds something, anything, to pull him away from his whole being alone thing and distract him for any amount of time he goes and dives full in but the conversation always comes back to how he has no friends. - feeling like you'll never be capable of creating and committing to long lasting healthy relationships like everyone else seems to be, settling for short term slightly toxic (joel literally didn't want to be his friend) ones just to have someone to be around. smth smth, "we accept the love we think we deserve."

i'd originally rewatched scar's secret life and thought it would make me sad cause he spent the whole time being alone but scar never made much of a big deal of being lonely and just made comments like "that's not right. how did the guy with no friends win?" feeling like he didn't deserve the win which echoes pearl in double life saying "this wasn't supposed to happen. i wasn't supposed to have friends" like she was scared of making bonds after being rejected by both martyn and scott at the beginning and like she was actually crazy and surely deserved them both leaving and didn't deserve friends but that pattern is an entirely other thing to dig into

when i first watched secret life as it was coming out (October to December 2023) i thought i was on good terms with this friend or was at least deluded and distracted enough to think that. i haven't rewatched grian's perspective since realizing our friendship was all falling apart at the beginning of this year (mostly in march) and then running away from some other friends and becoming a weird little egg on my own. its funny how grians made up improv'd loneliness can echo real loneliness, isn't it?

im very happy he got adopted by cleo and etho the next episode.

Devotion dynamic through seasons rambling (sorry!)

s4 for mape was coated in anger with the same experiment of figuring out if zam would accept his duped armour which confirmed his theory and mape murdered him continuously after he got his answer

Now out of seemingly nowhere in s6, mapes curious of the whispers/rumours of pacifist zam and him holding back so he is conducting his experiment AGAIN

Also I think s5 joker zam has more resemblance to s3 zam which mapic dealt with cause these guys’s base is loyalty and have kept entrusting stuff to the other when their start team fizzled out and they end up by the others side

Devotions go crazy cause prior to that these guys were loyal to each other, mapic was loyal to zam beyond the grave and ripped up a whole wall to find a book left by him and mapic risked himself after zam told him not to let planet die in the end when the guy was new

When they’re teamed they’re constantly nitpicking and hitting each other and just being around the other, zam would be at his villagers and mapic would be walking through the whole base rummaging through stuff while responding and listening to zam

So when zam went and betrayed in s4, mapic mourned him, he put up his helmet on the wall for their fallen comrade and than the second he got an idea of where zams base was he immediately was blindsided, already running without thinking

Toying with him as usual but zam was in fear cause he knows mapic doesn’t let things go, so zam wasn’t responding the same way, even after how many fights, mapic still showed up to the castle, making a little room for himself and every time he left with a bloody sword he would still come back for him

Mapic and ro were gonna time stop zams castle forever leaving him there, yknow same as a ban but mapic already did do that than brought him back cause it was an accident with clown there- anyways, that was zams end but the guy mape mourned kept going and going and getting crazier and practically wearing his heart on his sleeve just living and mapic still couldn’t keep his eyes off of him cause something was off about zam

Mapics seen zam at his worst so when zam still kept coming back to fight him and not just giving in like he did in s3 to spoke, Mapic went insane dealing with it but than- exploits arrived and mapic instinctively first thought zam was innocent from his whole team of exploiters (which ngl is crazy to think about)

Than there’s the set up of spoke hurting mapic with exploits in front of many ppl and the ONLY one to really give a damn was zam who stopped spoke and jumped in the way when literally both mapic and zam heavily hated each other at that point, than there’s the totem popping incident and after all that when zam was content that mapic knew everything, he let him go not caring

Now in s6 zam who got hurt the most by mape was giving the guy warnings about the other teams trying to fight him and mape was warning zam about others looking for him

Devotions are devoted to each other when they are teamed, when they’re neutral and when they’re not on good terms, they’re STILL devoted even if it actively hurts them

I know this was just a small portion of your most recent ask, but I too miss the energy of the past seasons. I was just thinking earlier today that I felt like the found family aspect of the show was lacking in season 7.

I'm not even sure we even got a scene of everyone together at someone's house. It was just some small groups of characters in a few scenes where they weren't working and of course all of the 118 together when they were working. I missed seeing the barbecues that they used to do in the Nash-Grant house.

like i understand it was a shorter season but i would have much rather had a little more of a low action season where we see them being a bug family rather than the constant depths of despair everyone seemed to be in… like even some of the smaller gathering scenese (buddie scenes, scenes w buddie/chris, madney and henren scenes, etc) all felt so fleeting and didn’t reall do much to give me a sense of that found family solidity that we’ve gotten used to, and it almost felt like they were just tossing us scraps rather than actually doing anything (like tim’s whole “i wanted to include a buddie scene in each episode” yet most of the buddie scenes we got were just a couple lines of their usual dynamic and didn’t do anything to really advance their friendship (like they’d been saying s7 was gonna do w all that “buddie is closer than ever!”) and then the coming out scene that just felt… off? and like if they had actually taken it somewhere in the plot then maybe it would have felt so weird, but it didn’t feel like either of them were really happy in that scene despite the intended tone being eddie trying to be supportive which… yeah ofc he’s be, that’s not really them getting closer, yknow?

idk i just feel like s7 missed the mark so hard bc tim wasn’t focused and let things kinda run all over the place and i want so badly to take the cast’s happiness bts this season as a sign, but they also had a similar energy last season before 7b flushed all the positive progression down the toilet for whatever that mess was that we got…

it’s the beginning of the season, they’re ofc probably happy with what they’ve been TOLD is gonna happen, but if tim decides to start changing his mind every 5 seconds again, their enjoyment is gonna tank again just like it did last season :/

but anyway, going back to your original point- i wholeheartedly agree that s7 was severely lacking in the found family department. it just made all their storylines feel so separate and isolated from each other rather than showing that core central support (aside from a couple 20 second scenes that again didn’t really do much)

Eddie doesn’t really think about it again until a few days later, home alone and trying to follow the instructions of one of those mailed meals that come with all the ingredients in a paper bag while he waits for Buck to get back from climbing with Albert and Chimney.

Normally they do these together, knocking elbows together in their warmly lit kitchen, but Buck had an extra shift this week, and emergency babysitting duty, on top of weekly plans with the Hans that he insisted on honoring, and it’s already late. Eddie just wanted to have something nice waiting for him when he gets back, so he and the little notecard of instructions that came in the bag are making a valiant attempt together.

He’s got the big slices of sourdough toast out of the oven and slathered with the ricotta mixture and takes extra care piling the charred and seasoned cherry tomatoes on top of it. This is one of the easier recipes, it makes Eddie feel like a master chef, though he would feel mortified to voice that out loud. Buck is the actual master chef in the house. Or, at least compared to Eddie he is. They have fun together in the kitchen, regardless.

He does a subpar job plating the toasts and then does the final step of methodically drizzling a balsamic glaze over the brightly colored mosaic of fresh ingredients, and feels a little giddy with it. He gets why Buck likes this. Eddie probably appreciates the methodical step-by-step nature of it a little more, but he absolutely understands the private thrill of being able to say, I made this for you.

He never really understood the notion of food as a conveyor of love before Buck. Honestly he doesn’t know if he really knew love like this at all before Buck. But now, as he stands barefoot on the cool tile of the kitchen floor and looks at his stupid little charred tomato and ricotta toasts, he knows they mean I love you, and he knows Buck will understand.

I've been trying to think of possible consequences for Sunnydale if the gang go off to have homoerotic hijinks at the Hyperion Hotel and its really reminding me what a shit job season 7 did of building the tension lmao

Spiral in season 5 is like. The pinnacle of Its All Too Much and its one of my favourites because of it because DAMN do the threats keep piling up in terrifyingly organic ways. Tara's down, Glory knows about Dawn and is coming the second Ben loses control again, the knights are right behind us and Spike can't fight them because of the chip, Giles just took a fucking spear to the gut and Buffy called BEN for help! A perfectly logical move for her to make because she doesn't know what we know! I was literally more scared and stressed for these fictional characters than I thought possible because we knew what was at stake: Dawn, and by extension Buffy's last family and lets be honest she would never have gotten over it if she'd lost Dawn, and that's before this episode tells us that Dawn's painful death will take everyone else with her. Even if you don't care about Dawn (I love her so. More stress) the consequences for everyone would be so dire if they fail that it really makes you cling to your stuffed animal when the final fight finally comes

Meanwhile in season 7 Buffy says she's in the fight of her life, specifically saying that she WOULD sacrifice Dawn to save the day this time and implicitly saying the threat is worse now than it was with Glory. She says this, btw, while fighting a lovely fledgling vamp named Richard because she and Giles had time to kill. Yknow there was an empty hour on the timetable between Talk About How Scary The First Is and Something Something Spuffy so why don't we go out and literally look for something to fight. While we talk about how this is The Fight Of Our Lives. Hey Giles did you record Friends because the guys really wanna see how this Joey/Rachel thing pans out when we get home. Where we're in much peril, obviously. The First sometimes attacks twice in a month. Remember when Glory found and punched a hole in Willow's dorm building just because she was pissed that Willow spat at her and when she found out Dawn was the Key we literally could not stop running until we got away which we didn't bc she took Dawn. That pales in comparison to this. When do you want me to kill Richard btw
