it's so crazy how toguro (and genkai) were like yusuke you're repressing your emotions you need to watch someone important to you die to realize. something. a young person has been trying to explain how to type on my phone like a young person does (they use their thumbs, wtf?) and i have not yet done it enough to see improvement but i need to report my shock that using your thumbs does not seem to be worse than using the typing finger of the hand that isn't holding the phone. this seems MADNESS as thumbs are the wide fingers! and yet. i suppose if that's the way they're supposed to be used (phones, not thumbs) they probably make phones with that in mind. that you're using your widest fingers on the tiny tiny keyboard. insanely.

#Having a great time btw I've just been chased across a near sea of miasma by stal riders and more! 10/10 nearly died in a high speed chase#Made it out relatively unscathed which is truly amazing lmao#Spoilers ahead: I have had the funniest time doing the great plateau quest chain. Once I sucked it up and made nice with the creepy statue.#He's(?) been alright. Fair trader. Good deals. I've mostly been terrorising kohga in between absolutely failing to craft working vehicles X#His new boss fights are so much easier than the first one lol. Less fun I'll admit but the music is groovy. You can probably make a#Machine and try and dog fight him but with few exceptions the turning circles are decrepit so I just stuck to mild dodging and shooting him#And running over to hit him some more. Kinda bland for a boss fight I'll say. Could have done with a lot more pizazz. It's kohga come on.#Anyway I do feel kinda bad because apparently he's been stuck down there for however many months/years and I AM kinda cheating with the arm#After the first fight he fled to the gerudo mine and the steward very nicely showed me how to get there but never underestimate#My procrastination because I'd already found it by just exploring so I just teleported. In game it must have been terrifying lmao#Racing across an endless void filled only by the light of your rapidly running out of battery glider and the red glow of the gloom away fro#The apparently immortal ancient warrior who beat you up and tossed you down there and there's no sign of perusal so you're probably safe#But you get there and he's already sitting there poking some bananas having wiped out your goons and plundered your supplies.#Like sorry man but the arm comes with the hero territory I can't exactly take it off.#Maybe if you stopped terrorising the people purah would let you have one of her long distance teleportation slates. played through that amusement park section of s.pider-man 2 and it did nothing but fill me with thoughts of going on a similar date with my husband. it would be so lovely!

does anyone know a better way to try and reformat a research question for a survey because I am SUFFERING
#I already have a bunch of answers but this data isn't very helpful-#-and maybe I should not change the question so the data is at least consistent all around#i have multiple questions that are all poorly formatted and have not given me much useful data#but I don't know how I could possibly reformat them in a way that isn't a bu ch of open ended fill in the blank questions#my goal here is I'm trying to see like. Flanderization in fandom. Trying to see the canon vs fanon versions people have of characters#but not everyone might realize the version they consider canon IS fanon. So I can't ask it outright I have to fucking. like#idk trick them into telling me and then I can pop out and be like AHA YOU'RE WRONG#i m not sure the best way to go about this#the way I have it is like. I describe the character in 5-7 traits and ask people to pick 3 of them#and i also have an 'other' option if they want to elaborate#buuuuttttt#This question I feel like hasn't been super helpful#because again I can't just be like “do you think X character is just always lovey dovey 24/7 to character Y”#because again. That's too god damned obvious and people are gonna be like no! Even tho subconsciously they do think that#Also I don't think the traits I picked were very good either. It was just like. Too Broad#I'm planning on sending out my survey again and I wanted to see if I could fix some questions before I do so#there is just the issue of the data being inconsistent#I think I might just have to go in and change the character traits#that's I think the issue. But again I don't know how to ask what I want without being straight up like#“Do you think person Xs entire character revolves around character Y”#even tho the entire fandom acts like they do. Post Helene Update
Hello tumblr, I’ve been gone for 5 days. Helene took away our power, water, internet, and cell signal. Today is the first day with a decent enough cell signal to load tumblr, all prior phone use has been trying to find info on local power restoration efforts and water distribution. Now excuse me as I will be scrolling through all the drama I’ve missed this week.
#This has been the worst storm ever in my area#My college is closed for another week#The neighbors are all using pool water to fill toilets so they flush#Our house is ok but so many have been hit by trees#No flooding in my town luckily#Over 92% without power in my town#72% still without power#We think multiple mini tornados touched down#There are clusters of down trees all facing the same direction#Trees so big my arms couldn’t make it halfway around#The fridge smells like death#Ice has been ridiculously hard to find#If the supply gets better I want to make ice cream with my hand crank freezer#Try to boost morale

fun fact once youve worked at a daycare/preschool the instincts it gives you never leave. i hear a baby crying and my brain muscle memories me into standing up until i can stop and remind myself that most people understandably do not want a stranger to walk over and pick up and soothe their infant. not my job anymore.
#one time like 15 mins after a 8 hr shift i was in my fav clothing store and a baby an aisle over began to sob and i walked over#and just stood beside the pram and stared at the baby while the cogs turned in my brain and the mother was like ''????'' until i went#''i worked at a early childhood center for 8 hours today im so sorry'' and she was like '' OH LMAO its fine hes been fussy all day#i'd apprecaite any help'' and so i just stood there and talked to the baby for 5 minutes#and the shock of having a new face hovering over him exercising his legs made him stop crying and stare#similarly i spent 30 minutes playing with a 8 month old exercising his arms and legs and tickling his tummy and talking#while his poor exhausted mother who was trying to fill out citizenship forms at the library got a moments peace#she vented that she'd just moved over with her husband and he was working all the time so it was just her and bubs here#in this strange new country. and thats a lot for a new mum not having extra family around to help. i remember she asked if i would be up#to babysit for pay and i reffered her to one of my old coworkers i really hope she found someone#that baby was so cute but SO LOUD he was VERY active for his age lots of kicking and squirming and endless energy#little mans is going to be a terror when he reaches his twos
