Based on the data from their pregnancy with Kenna, if Esther is pregnant (Just saying if because they haven’t confirmed as of yet) when should we expect an official announcement?

Well, that all depends on when Esther is due. And since she hasn't announced anything we don't know the due date either. So I don't know.

If they did indeed announce their pregnancy on the valentine's day party they had on february 9th or 10th then she had to be at least four weeks pregnant (Probably further along). Then she would be due at the latest on october 19th. If she would be due that day then, based on when she announced Kenna, she would announce on may 11. Does this answer your question enough?

Hey y’all! Sorry for the inactivity as of late.

I’m leaving my teen years behind me and entering my 20s in just 10 days. I’ve been so frustrated with myself for the longest time because I haven’t “achieved” anything since I graduated high school. That’s changing now. I began taking antidepressants in December, as well as seeing a therapist in January. I chose to drop out of college in February in order to get my life in some semblance of order. I’ve finally narrowed my passions down to A. Attending technical college to get my LPN degree and B. Going back to community college for my ECE degree in order to work at a daycare. I applied for nursing school yesterday. I’ve also been working on getting my driver’s license and taking care of my physical health. I’m anxious yet excited for what my future holds.

I’m going to try to be more involved with the fundblr community from now on. I love y’all, and I’m happy to be back 😊

2022 Q2 Fundie Happenings

@duggardata has returned! This post was originally born out of their absence... but I got such a positive response on the last one, I'm gonna keep it up.

What’s been happening in fundieland for the last 3 months? Here’s a list of notable events and funny things. Feel free to add anything that I’ve missed. It's roughly in chronological order.

Derick Dillard passes the Arkansas bar and gets a job. Jill + Derick are moving.

Jackson Duggar goes to ALERT.

Nathan + Nurie announce Baby #2. N2 will be 13 months younger than Nehemiah. It’s not quite as fast as JRod’s rate, but it’s close. (I was really rooting for Nurie to take after the Keller women and have ~2 years between kids. But I’m also super curious to see how this name scheme plays out. I’m a sucker for ridiculous baby names.)

Jill Rodrigues wishes Janessa a happy 4th birthday in the saddest ever birthday post--by asking everyone to pray that she gets pregnant again.

Gabby Patton, friend of the Duggars, has a vow renewal after 5 1/2 years of marriage. Her bridesmaids include Joy-Anna, Abbie, and Anna Duggar. As more photos of the renewal come out, pregnancy speculation ensues. 

Esther Bates is spotted in a borrowed “Mama” t-shirt. Speculation ensues.

Carlin + Evan go one (1) day without posting on social, and people start checking in to make sure nothing bad happened.

Jedidiah + Katey welcome Truett Oliver Duggar, the first announced boy grandDuggar in several years. However, the fact that nobody has made a big deal about him being a boy only fuels the speculation that Siren had a son.

Esther + John Shrader announce Shrader-Keller #13. They were overdue for a pregnancy. I suspect this will be their last. (I'm hoping for a girl because I'm really digging their theme of using Greek virtue names. It’s wacky.)

The Mother's Day Babygeddon. Tori + Bobby, Nathan + Esther, and John David + Abbie announce pregnancies on Mother's Day.

Carver Bowers is spotted hanging out with Johannah Duggar yet again. Speculation ensues, and I hate it, because she’s a minor.

Lawson + Tiffany get married. They’ve been trying so hard to make a spectacle out of their relationship for social media that I seriously considered not including it in the list, just to be contrary. JD + Abbie, Joy, plus the unmarried adult Duggar kids, are seen in Cali for the wedding. 

Josh Duggar’s sentencing briefs are filed, including several letters written on his behalf by family and friends. Michelle Duggar dots the i in her name with a heart in her signature.

Josh Duggar is sentenced to 151 months in prison.

Carlin Stewart has a mystery illness that causes seizures or similarly scary episodes. Carlin + Evan are in a damned-if-you-do, damned-if-you-don't situation where they get lambasted for posting about her illness, but people also want the deets.

Nathan + Nurie’s baby #2 is a boy! Jill posts about how Kaylee + Jonathan are happy because they hope to have the first girl (after they’re married). 

Joe + Kendra possibly spotted in public with a newborn. Speculation ensues.

Nathan + Esther are having a girl named Kenna Joy.

Josiah + Lauren are spotted at church, possibly with a baby carrier in front of them, but it’s hard to tell. Speculation ensues.

Anna Duggar posts on Instagram that she’s road tripping “to see her bestie,” presumably Josh at his new prison. It’s the 14-year anniversary of her engagement to Josh. The whole thing is a little too sad to be snarkable (in this blogger’s opinion, anyway).

Josh Duggar is transferred to federal prison.

David + Hannah (Reber) Keller announce their first pregnancy.

Mitchel + Bryn Bontrager have their third baby, Brynleigh Noelle. I cannot overstate how much I hate this name.

Jill Rodrigues attends a Plexus convention and gives us a deluge of social media posts about it. 

Please tell me what I missed--I’ve been too busy to scour fundie socials the last several weeks.

Can you please explain the whole lawsuit thing to me? I‘m not a native speaker and it‘s difficult to understand. Also the article isn‘t available in my country. What did the Duggar sisters do? Or was it only Jill? I don‘t get it.

Here's how I understand it, although I'll preface by saying I've only read a few things about this case:

1. Jill, Jessa, Jinger, and Joy Anna filed a lawsuit against the Washington County Sheriff's office (their local office) for releasing documents about the county's initial investigation into Josh Duggar's molestation accusations in 2015 (here is the original Fox24 Fayetteville article about the suit). The documents were obtained by InTouch magazine via a Freedom Of Information Act request which, for non-Americans, is a transparency act that allows private citizens to request any kind of documentation from any kind of government entity, as long as it doesn't violate the law (see #2).

2. The Duggar girls say they filed the suit because, per the Arkansas Juvenile Code, it was illegal to release criminal documents that contained sensitive information about a minor. The documents in question contained interviews with all of Josh's abuse victims including the Duggar sisters circa 2002/2003. They’re also citing invasion of privacy, since the InTouch article led to them being identified as Josh’s victims, something they had not planned to publicly share.

3. In the most recent hearing, it looks like the court has dismissed the Duggar girls' suit and I'm still trying to figure out exactly why. It sounds like Washington County's defense is that this law was just simply overlooked? The agent in question who OK'd the release of the information says that she did so because the 3-day time limit had already passed (per Arkansas's FOIA laws the government has to respond 'yes' or 'no' to requests within 3 days) so it sounds like she just panicked and released it to avoid getting in trouble. I'm still reading through the decision PDF that @duggardata shared and I'll update this post if I learn more.

Just a note:

I’m going to try to be on tumblr as much as I can the next couple days sharing information about the trial. If you’ll find that triggering, please filter “tw josh duggar.” It might just also be a good time to take a few days off from the fundie following tumblrs since I think we’ll all be fairly trial heavy.

Also, while I’m an attorney, I’m not a criminal lawyer. I’ve seen @duggardata answering asks about trial procedure and I would recommend going there for the best information on that. But I’ll do my best with any that come in here.

More things to keep in mind now that we are hearing more about what the defense expert is testifying to -

First, we're just getting media updates. We are not actually hearing everything the jury is hearing and more importantly we aren't hearing what things are being objected to and how the judge is ruling on those things.

Second, the prosecution has not crossed this witness, or at least has not done so fully. They have all night to construct their cross. They already had her report so they already knew what she would testify to

Further, they can re-call their expert as a rebuttal witness if they feel the need to do so

As a side note - there is a tiktok lawyer who somehow has time to not work for a week and instead watch this trial. I checked out her website, she's a person injury/family/criminal practice with one associate who's bio reads pretty new and she's a member of the NRA. I have thoughts I will not type out but uh there's a reason her recaps have, as some have noted, seemed to bias towards the defense

And finally, a reminder of my earlier post - everything comes together in the closing, which is also the prosecutions opportunity to clear up the confusion this witness is likely causing and again - prosecution gets the last word.

Edit: I took out "usually" because prosecution does get the last word, as @duggardata pointed out! (I blame my practice area where it's more up to the judge who gets the last word between me and the state for my adding in the usually but it's important to have this right when I'm trying to clear things up for you guys!)

I’m not a doctor but I’m gonna try to guess how far along Jessa is

(sorry if this has already been done)

So I think we’ve all seen @duggardata​ ‘s analysis of Seewald #4* and from that we can draw the conclusion that on January 25 (probably) she is between 14 and 22 weeks (22 weeks meaning her due date is ~ May 30). 

Since we don’t have anywhere near an exact due date, but we do have two ultrasounds from her I’m gonna try to estimate based off of those ultrasounds.

This is by no means an exact science and I have no qualifications to do this but I’m gonna attempt it anyways.

14 weeks

I believe that she past 14 weeks due to this video, this picture:

and, most importantly, this really handy website that tells you what development is going on and gives a 3D model of what the fetus looks like. Baby Seewald 4* seems more developed than all of these representations.

15 Weeks

This one seems slightly more likely. According to this website the ears start to become more defined at 15 weeks and the eyes start to move closer to the nose which can be seen in the 3D ultrasound. One other interesting thing to note is that apparently at 15 weeks the baby’s skin is still fairly translucent so things like blood vessels and bones can be seen, I’m not 100% sure how this translates to the 3D ultrasound, but I feel like you can kinda see the ribs.

16 Weeks

Alright, the two most likely things that indicate the baby may be around 16 weeks (still using this website as a reference) is that a. the baby’s head is more aligned with the body instead of slouched over and b. there may be hair on the top of the head (I can sort of see a shadow there) and the eyebrows (there looks like there might be something fuzzy around them). A bit more of a stretch is that the baby has their hand around their eyes which apparently babies do when eye movement starts at about 16-18 weeks.

The thing that makes me think they are not quite 16 weeks yet is that the ears don’t seem to be in the correct spot yet, but that may be due to a bad photo or just genetics.

17 Weeks

So if that is the umbilical cord we are seeing in the 3D ultrasound then it looks fairly well developed to my untrained eye which is apparently a sign of the baby being in week 17.

What makes me think the baby is earlier than week 17 is apparently in this week babies start to put on fat in their abdominal area and look less bony but baby Seewald here still looks pretty ribby.

18 Weeks

 so the site didn’t really give me much info on what I can visually see during this week so imma skip that analysis

19, 20, 21, and 22 Weeks

look, based off of what I’ve been reading and the pictures I’ve been seeing I don’t think Baby Seaweed 4* is in these weeks, they don’t seemed developed enough and I’m too tired to get into it.

My conclusion is that as of January 25 Jessa was around 15-17 weeks pregnant. That makes her due date between July 5 - July 19 2021. I’m gonna say she is most likely 15/16 weeks at that point and say she is due between July 5- 12. 

 As a side note after zooming in on the picture I think that the dates listed are 01/25/21 and 06/19/21, which contradicts my theory but meh.

A Full Explanation As To Why DuggarData Can’t Predict A Baby’s Sex

I’m not trying to address any recent anons, but this has been on my mind since the first time DuggarData got asked to do statistics on future babies’ sexes. There is a lot of confusion between the likelihood of a random couple giving birth to x number of daughters/sons in a row and the likelihood of a specific couple who already has x-1 daughters/sons giving birth to an additional child of the same sex. 

To simplify, let’s talk about a random couple with two kids whose sexes are unknown. There are four different possibilities for the children’s sexes (listed in birth order):

boy, girl

boy, boy

girl, boy

girl, girl

Given that we know absolutely nothing about these children, there is a 25% chance that they’ll both be girls, a 25% chance that they’ll both be boys, and a 50% chance that there will be one boy and one girl.

We can extrapolate from this! What if there are three children? Once again, listed in birth order:

boy, girl, girl

boy, girl, boy

boy, boy, girl

boy, boy, boy

girl, girl, girl

girl, girl, boy

girl, boy, girl

girl, boy, boy

From this, there is a 12.5% chance there will be all girls, a 12.5% chance there will be all boys, a 37.5% chance there will be two girls and a boy, and a 37.5% chance there will be one girl and two boys.

You can do the calculations for any number of children if you want, but for simplicity’s sake I’m going to stick to 2 or 3 children to make my point.

So, let’s return to the two-child couple. Since these stats work for any couple, let’s take a look at Joy and Austin. They have one son and one on the way. Joy and Austin’s stats look a bit different than the general case:

This is due to their oldest child’s sex already being known. The other two combinations are impossible given our current information. Therefore, there breakdown for the probability of #2′s sex is 50% boy and 50% girl. The two combinations that are possible are given equal weight since there is only one scenario for each and there are no other factors to take into account.

Now, I’m going to look at a hypothetical. If Jill and Derick were to conceive a third child, what is the probability that #3 would be a boy or a girl? Once again, we can take a look at all scenarios and rule out the ones that cannot work since we already know that Israel and Samuel are boys:

Once again, we are left with two different but equal possibilities - a 50% chance that #3 will be a boy and a 50% chance that #3 will be a girl. That may sound strange because of course we think “well, it’s very unlikely that they’ll have 3 sons in a row,” but the fact of the matter is that since Israel and Samuel are already born and their sexes are already known, the potential scenarios decrease until you’re left with two equally-weighted possibilities that are relevant.

OK, I booked the venue last November only in the hope that there would be snow, but when I booked it there wasn’t any. For over a year, I told everyone that there was going to be snow for our wedding day. The week leading up to it, all rain with no chances of snow. Other people were giving up but I KNEW there would be snow. Finally, the NIGHT BEFORE THE WEDDING IT SNOWED BIGGGG TIME. and we got snow for our day :’)

Normally, “shocking” is the last word I’d use to describe a Bates Pregnancy…  But, this one actually is!  After ruptured ovarian cysts forced her to have “one ovary … and most of [the] second” removed, Erin (Bates) Paine is expecting—something she recently said would be “a huge miracle.”  Against all odds, the Paines’ 5th Child is due in January 2022.  Sharing the news via People, Chad said—

“Everyday life is a miracle, but this is such a special miracle for our little family.  For the past year, Erin has experienced different health problems, which ended up leading to multiple surgeries.  After consulting with our doctor, we realized having another baby was not going to be in our future.  It was sad, just because we both really love kids, but I knew Erin’s health was the biggest priority, and we were overwhelmingly grateful for the four little blessings God has already given us.  We were content knowing that God sometimes has a different plan than our own.  As you can imagine, we were absolutely blown away when we found out the good news and really in shock!“

I can’t believe I finally did this y’all...

...I actually broke down and made an account.

Ok so some stuff about me. I started lurking on here pre-molestation scandal when I found @wesayso-foundation‘s blog. And for some reason I haven’t left yet. I’ve watched a grande total of one episode of the Duggar’s show (Kendra’s birth episode that Annie from @keepingupwithfundies posted) and a grande total of zero Bates episodes. I’m somewhere in between Jason and James in age. And I’m from Canada.

Ok, now for the reason the reason I finally decided to join. I had this theory that Jason was the most average Duggar boy. That is, if you morphed all the faces of the Duggar boys together, the result would look a lot like Jason. So I decided at about midnight today that I was going to try it and (finally) make a tumblr account to post it on. And well, let’s just say I was surprised.

It looks the most like Jed to me. Ah well, I always get Jason and Jed confused.

I feel like a bad person for feeling bad for Anna. Like logically I know she has chosen to stand by a pedophile, but I can't shake the feeling that she truly believes he is innocent and that makes me feel bad for her. Then I read stuff on Reddit about how Anna has already used up her second chances and I realize I'm wrong but I can't shake the sadness I feel for her.

i don’t think you’re a bad person for feeling bad for her. we’ll never truly know what’s going on inside her head. i find it hard to blame her for not making the incredibly hard decision to be a single mom with seven kids and no education or job history. i have no idea what i would do in her situation. i know id be scared shitless no matter what i believed, and i’m sure she’s scared too.

we don’t know if she thinks josh is innocent and she buys into the claim that he was framed. we don’t know if she thinks he’s guilty and is being manipulated by jim bob and michelle to stay.

we do know that anna is now essentially a single mom. she has seven kids to take care of now, one of which is a newborn. she lives in a house owned by jim bob and michelle, and she has no income. i feel sorry for her just on those points. at the very least she’s a victim of the society she was brought up in, a society that has made her woefully unprepared for the situation she now finds herself in.

If you cannot decipher the line between snark and gaslighting mixed with misogyny, maybe you should take a nice long look in the mirror and try to figure out where this hate and vitriol is coming from that seems to be projected onto Lauren.

It absolutely does not. Her self absorbed responses to the recent tragedies in the family were absolutely disgusting and appalling. And I stand by the fact that if any other fundie was doing the same things Lauren is doing they would be crucified by snarkers. Can someone please just explain to me why Lauren is so special and untouchable? Because I don’t understand it.

@throwrocksatboys honestly, thank you so much. That’s so true. The dress will be dolled up so I can add the “wow factor” by what I do. And f their opinions, if they don’t like what I pick, they don’t need to be there. (Except my mom, she has no choice haha😂)

@duggardata I completely agree. I was ready to lose it on my mom and friends, so Joy could have easily felt the same. Especially considering she seems to have different taste than her sisters. I didn’t see the episode, but if they were pushing dressing that she wasn’t comfortable with, I wouldn’t doubt that that’s why she seemed so “unappreciative and uncomfortable”.

I went wedding dress shopping today with my mom and two of my bridesmaids and oh my god never again. By the end of it, I was in tears because their opinions didn’t match mine and I felt like such an ugly potato. The one dress I loved, they all deemed as “too plain” with “no wow factor”. If I were to get it now, I know I would walk down that aisle paranoid that everyone thinks I don’t look “wow” enough, and I hate that.
