Star Wars makes more sense if you think of Legends continuity and Disney continuity as AU fanfictions of Lucus' canon.
#because well they ARE#big budget fan fic but fan fic none the less#being fan fic isn't a bad thing! I am not insulting them by calling them that!#I love fanfic stop thinking of fanfic as a dirty word#but they are fan fic like by definition#which also some times means they miss the mark theme wise lol#and using fanfic to justify your pov that contradicts the original work is not particularly great media analysis#instead of saying 'sw is saying this (thing that george was def not saying)'#try saying 'this sw fanfic is saying this'#it will make for a much more logical media analysis i promise lol#i love stuff from both disney and legends!! I really do!#but they will never affect lucus' original work in any way!#my thoughts

I'm gonna be honest, literally no one can get mad at me for not having Anakin Skywalker turn back to the Light in my fic while also having Ventress and Savage turn back to the Light and implying that Dooku does in the future, because I WAS GOING TO!!!
I WAS GONNA GIVE THAT ASSHOLE THE BEST REDEMPTION ARC IN THE FIC, WITH TONS OF SYMPATHY AND EVERYTHING!!!
BUT THEN ANAKIN APOLOGISTS AND ANTI-JEDI PEOPLE STARTED POSTING ON MY BLOG AND I WENT "FUCK THAT"
so yeah, if you're gonna get mad at that decision, all I'm saying is that I was gonna be nice but y'all made me spiteful as hell
#and yes#before anyone says anything#my fic is gonna be HIGHLY critical of Dooku and the other Darksiders and they're definitely gonna face consequences#eventually turning back to the Light doesn't mean pretending that they never did all the shitty things they did#it just means that they're gonna try to fix what they can and be held accountable and do better in the future#star wars#sw prequels#the clone wars#ao3 fanfic#codywan fanfic#fanfic#pro jedi#anti anakin skywalker#anti anakin apologists#anakin skywalker critical#yan dooku#count dooku#asajj ventress

the discrepancy between the depiction of ganks in most of legends canon vs. in the edge of the empire rpg will never stop being hilarious to me
they are all the most feared mercenaries and killers in the galaxy and exactly the same amount of cool
#listen. I am but a humble zero fucker I know in my heart what he looks like and mr to the left is Not it fhsdkjafh#I feel like the ones to the right lack a certain something in terms of obvious alienness too but y'know. mask sexy. what can we do#it's at least closer that's for sure#star wars#ganks#agent zero#is this a squad of gank killers and their cringefail cousin they love even tho he's a dork so he gets to go on missions with them.#new sw canon dropped exclusively on this blog today folks you're welcome#I've given up doing any substantial research at this point most of the info is either suuuper outdated or extremely vague#and the stuff it does say (like ganks being surprisingly short but very solidly built) doesn't jive with campaign star wars canon#(zero is notably like 1.90 m tall or something he's the reason blue seems tiny despite being a beanpole lol)#(the mystique of what they actually look like is very cool in concept very annoying when you're trying to figure stuff out)#but you know what that means. I get to make up whatever the fuck I want hell yeeeeaaaah#the fanfic writer's lament and triumphal march lol

"Oh look at you, such a pretty little thing.." His raspy but quiet voice sighed out, itching a part of your brain in the most pleasant way, his presence fully intoxicating you; from the odd way he smelt or how he held your face, squeezing your cheeks between one hand while mocking you.
"practically ran into the belly of the beast and why? Because you were scared?" the condescendence was dripping from his tone as he chuckled dryly, finding it hilarious that after being sprayed by one of his goons you had run to his arms for comfort, and now you're stuck here in his little 'base'; whining behind the cloth he had hastily stuffed in your mouth, struggling against the restraints he had put on you while your brain was still hazy, somehow managing to bind you to a support beam.
"what am I gonna do with you hmm?" He continued in a bit of an agitated tone, his eyebrows furrowing as he stared you down, "I could just.. kill you?" he muttered out and your eyes naturally widened, the dangers of this situation setting in, specially when you saw the gleam in his eyes, a muffled whimper escaped you.
"but that would be such a waste..." He was almost talking to himself now in a barely audible tone, his eyes dropping to blatantly check you out.
You tried speaking from behind the gag, wanting to have a say in the matter of your own life and death; he rose an eyebrow in response, reaching up to untie it, seemingly interested in what you have to say for his own amusement.
"please don't kill me doctor Crane, please! I'll do anything!" Your pleas were met with a very bored looking 'doctor Crane', seemingly sick of the generic lines he'd heard one too many times, but they were definitely different coming from a youthful, attractive girl such as yourself and caused a certain tightness in his pants.
Your frantic pleas were interrupted by a hum of his smooth voice, "anything? You'd do anything?" he repeated in a strangely slow tone, though it was unsettling you rushed to nod in response, not letting the chance of surviving letting slip.
He scoffed lightly, glancing downward in thought before taking leisurely steps behind the pole you were tied to, undoing the messily done knots to release your sore wrists, "let's test that theory then.."
Of course you tried to make a run for it but a hand in your hair and arm over your neck were quick to pull you back, so quick in fact that you were sure he anticipated your attempted escape which made you feel dumb for even trying.
"You didn't think it'd be that easy right sweetheart?" he muttered in your ear, his voice had a eery edge to it now that made goosebumps rise all over your skin.
"You're choking me..." Your now raspy voice spoke as your eyes started to well up from the burn in your scalp, your hands reached up to try and pry his arm off your neck though he was much stronger than you so your efforts were to no avail
"oh am I?" He spoke in mock pity, tightening his arm around your neck making you yelp as you started to panic even more, "could've just played nice but you just had to go and be a smartass huh"
"I'm sorry.. Please stop I'm sorry" you whimpered out as tears dripped down your cheeks, landing on the sleeve of his coat that probably cost an unreasonable amount of money.
Your ears perked up as the sound of sniffing reached them, his hands left you hair and neck before turning you around to face him while you took in quick breaths to fill your parched lungs, "smell so sweet.."
He muttered more to himself than you while playing with a strand of your hair, blue eyes looking over your flushed, wet and sniffling face, "how old re'you sweetheart?" His oddly soothing voice questioned as he cupped your cheek with one hand, wiping a stray tear with his thumb.
"I'm- uhm, nineteen.." He sucked in a sharp breath at that, his pale cheeks flushing lightly, "then you know what I want don't you? What you'll have to do in order for me to free you.." He questioned lowly,
You had a vague idea of what he wanted, but hoped if you pretended not to know you'd be able to escape faster, "what do I have to do doctor Crane?" You questioned back with a tilt of your head.
"Don't play dumb sweetheart" he retorted with a scoff, finding amusement in your antics.
"I want you" you let out a little squeak of surprise feeling the force of his hands on your shoulders, pushing till you were sitting on your knees.
"To be on your knees and suck me off, is that clear enough for you?" He questioned with a mocking tilt of his head, squishing your cheeks between one hand as he did so, "y-yeah.." You responded quietly with a little nod.
Your shaky hands reached for his zipper, glancing up at him before pulling it down and unbuttoning his pants to reveal his covered bulge, you were about to pull his boxers down but paused, letting your fingers rest on the cotton hem.
"I've never.. done this before doctor Crane" you voiced your nerves quietly, chewing on your bottom lip as your cheeks flushed from embarrassment, his face softened slightly at your confession.
"I know.. I'll help you" he responded in a soothing tone, running a hand through your hair, he reached his other to pull down his black boxers to reveal his hard dick.
He took pleasure in the way you started at it in awe, "go on, touch it" he told you quietly, you tentatively brought your had and wrapped it around his base, looking up at him with wide eyes as he wrapped his hand around yours and guided it to stroke him.
"now wrap your lips around it and suck" he ordered impatiently, removing his hand from yours as you got the hang of it, you did as he asked and took his tip in your mouth, letting your tongue lick the beads of pre-cum off his slit, a groan escaping him that urged you on, getting bolder as you took him half way and hallowed your cheeks.
His hand tightened in your hair as he started thrusting in your mouth in sync with the way he was making your head go up and down on his dick, "there you go.." He muttered out, basking in the little whimpers escaping you as he went deeper and deeper.
As he started breaching your throat barrier your squirming grew and his pleasure increased at the tightness of your throat, he let you go for a moment to take a breath before pushing you all the way down till your nose was buried in his pubic hair, triggering your gag reflex as you tried to push yourself off, "calm down and take it, you've gotta work for your reward darling"
He muttered out as your eyes started watering, your whimpers and muffled mewls sending waves of pleasure straight to his brain and making his eyes roll back into his head, his hand tightening in your hair as he started rutting into your mouth, letting his body be controlled by the pleasure while panic induced you from the lack of air.
You felt his cock twitching in your mouth before he pulled out and let you fall back on your elbows, he aimed himself to come all over your face and exposed cleavage, most of it going in your mouth as you tried to breathe.
He tucked himself back in as you tried to collect yourself, he grabbed your face and collected most of his come on his finger and shoved it in your mouth, "swallow" he instructed simply and you did as he asked, cringing at the taste.
He removed his finger with a pop and straightened himself up, brushing a hand through his hair before looking down at you, "you should run into me more often sweetheart"

Fics that Live in My Mind, Rent Free (Pedro's Version) - Part 1
Happy NYE! đ„łđ„ł
I read so many wonderful, hot, gut-wrenching, unforgettable, inspiring Pedro Pascal character fanfics... and I haven't been reblogging them đ«Ł (it's me, hi, I'm the problem it's me). Don't hate me please - reblogging gives me so much anxiety, and I'm not even sure I could articulate why if I tried - and I see a lot of the discussion/discourse/posts re: reblogging and I truly understand all perspectives although it just seems to elevate my nerves about even more.
However, I understand the impact and moreover, I want to do it for the writers that bring me so much joy and inspiration, so I endeavour to try. I want to make it clear that this is a personal hang up of mine, and I have 100% absolutely no comments on how anyone else engages here; reblog/comment/like or donât per your own preferences and you have nothing but love from me đ
So it will be a 2024 personal goal of mine to be less shy about reblogging, but while I work up my courage/practice, I wanted to go back and compile a list of some of my fave Pedro boy fics; I think of each and every one of these fics often and have revisited them all (i.e. Exactly the fics I should have reblogged when I read them). I went deep in my likes so some of these fics are quite old; you may have already read them all! If you have or havenât, I hope you love them as much as I do!

SW fanfic idea:
During the war, the Coruscant Guard kind of adopts a street kid, because clearly they don't have any guardian worthy of the name and end up in their custody way too often.
It just so happens that the kid's name is Alexsandr Kallus.
Snippets :
(sadly this doesn't change anything when order 66 rolls in)
Kallus' facial hair in this au is actually a nod to the clones' tendency to have distinct facial hair.
The Guards used to call him Sasha or Sash'ika. (he was pretty small back then)
He began to drink caff because it reminded him of Commander Fox. Even now the smell is a comfort. The first time he drank it he had a flashback to one of the numerous times he helped one of the medics, Cerise, with hiding Fox's caff because the man needed sleep post-haste.
Due to spending quite a bit of time with the aforementioned medic, Kallus actually has some competence in the domain.
When he becomes ISB and gets armor he paints the inside of it with Corrie-red designs. Several of the designs come directly from the clones he was closest to.
When he was a kid, Kallus wanted to join the Coruscant Guard and used to excitedly tell the clones about the way he would paint his armor when he would get it. Said clones were pretty touched and usually refrained from telling him they had no idea if a non-clone was even allowed to join the Guard.
When dressed as a civilian, Kallus leans (both unconsciously and on purpose) towards clothes a distinct shade of red.
When he joins the rebellion, he's actually pretty uneasy around Rex. He reminds Kallus of what happened to his family and the way they lost their free will after order 66. So he avoids Rex for a while until the Ghost crew confronts him about it.
After the truth comes out, Rex slowly begins to think about Kallus as a nephew.
At some points Rex finds a blank set of clone armor and gives it to Kallus, who paints it Corrie-red and wears it diligently. Zeb is just happy his trouble-prone friend finally has some protection.
Clones are an especially sensitive point for Kallus and he often tries to find and de-chip surviving clones while working for Intel. Before he joined the rebels he used to try to put clones in safe posts on peaceful planets, possibly even planets where a surgeon might perform brain surgery if paid enough. After he joins he actively tries to bring clones back to base and de-chip them. Rex is very happy to help. It's their own mission within the missions.
One of the clones Rex and Kallus manage to save end up being one of the captains of the Guard. She and Kallus were pretty close, and there's an emotional reunion involved once she wakes up from surgery.
(there is also a shovel talk involved once she realizes how Zeb looks at their Sasha)
(Captain Amaranth decides to stay with the Rebellion if only to make sure Kallus is safe. She is unfit for active duty due to rather severe PTSD and decides to become one of the base's cooks. She is much more successful at getting Kallus to eat regularly than anyone else)
(she also loves to tell stories about Kallus as a kid. One of her favorites is how he painted flowers on her pauldron when she asked him to help her with the new paint. Kallus later gives her a pauldron with much better drawn flowers)
(everyone has called her mom at some point, but none more so than Kallus. Some recruits actually believe she's Kallus' actual mom)
Rex and Kallus bonding by quietly re-painting their armor together.
Kallus getting to tell stories about his family to the Ghost crew and other friends! He hasn't been able to talk about the clones who mostly raised him since..... Well since he lost them, essentially. So this is good!
He got his work ethic from Fox. Amaranth says that's not a good thing.
(she's right)
At some point he discovers that Vader snapped Fox's neck and let me tell you the sith is lucky he's already dead. (Kallus is also secretly a bit relieved because that's a pretty fast and painless death. At least he didn't suffer too much....)
To counteract the angst of this last one, please imagine some Corrie dumping a sleepy Sasha on top of Fox so that the commander can't move, which ends up with Fox sleeping too (mission accomplished!). Little Alexsandr and Fox napping curled up together on a couch.......
#star wars#star wars rebels#alexsandr kallus#agent kallus#captain rex#Dripping stardust#Also I haven't watched TBB so I don't. Know what the chips do to the clones exactly.......#Here I'm assuming it strips them of their free will completely and fully

"Vagabonds" Chapter 24 & 25
"SEPARATION" & "THE NIGHTMARE"
Ongoing fanfic Hunter x Reader/Fem Reader/OC
Hunter meets a smuggler Nomaadi Star Woman with a powerful force sensitive teen who changes the trajectory of CF-99's lives...as they ALL try to escape from The Empire together.
To read Chapter 23 - "RETREAT"
https://www.tumblr.com/skellymom/763930279133970432/vagabonds-chapter-23?source=share
Word Count: 3.9K (Sorry so long. Wasn't sure WHERE to end this chapter, so I posted TWO CHAPTERS! I am hoping to wrap this series up by the end of this year!!!)
Background: What plans do The Empire have with LOVE? We meet several more NEW supporting characters. And Hunter has a helluva nightmare!
For anyone new to this series: "LOVE" is the nonbinary/genderfluid neurodivergent/nonverbal Force sensitive kid of the main OC of this series named Mad. Mad is an older single mother, close to almost 50 years of age (not many older female protaganists in stories, so I decided to make one.)
Warning: SW Canon violence, some blood, swearing, angst.
(Credit: Cool dividers by @4ngelic-Wh1spers, @plum98 @strangergraphics-archive Pinterest: Bad l3atch, f/StarWarsJediSurvivor)
He stunned the little shit, but REALLY wanted to kill her outright. He HATED this dog with every fiber of his being.Â
CX swore as he carefully pulled off his ruined faceplate. Blood poured from the toothmarks and sharp edges of the destroyed plastoid. Then dropped it to the floor.Â
An animal of that size SHOULDâNT be able to bite through his armor. And she SOMEHOW managed to hide or cloak herself within the confines of his ship easily. Her mastery of stealth, ferocity of attack, along with her bite strength might be beneficial to breed into a new class of working dogs for the Empire. Dr Hemlock might be pleased to have such a specimen to experiment with.Â
And, if the doctor didnât feel the need to use her, he could destroy her himself.Â
CX applied pressure to the facial wounds with his bacta bandaged left hand that had been mauled. He hailed his contact with his still intact right hand.Â
Governor Tarkinâs likeness popped up on holocomm.Â
âDid you capture the Force sensitive?â Tarkin sniffed.Â
âYes. Aboard my ship and restrained successfully. We are enroute.â Â
âGood. With this asset our timetable for PROJECT STARDUST is AHEAD of schedule.â Tarkin seemed pleased. âWe will expect your arrival within one standard rotation.âÂ
The Governer's image immediately disappeared.Â
CX would contact Dr Hemlock about the dog later.  Â
LOVE awoke both hands tethered together and a collar around their neck. They cautiously glanced up where they lay on the floor.Â
Tiggy lay prone and unconscious nearby. One of her back legs dangled at an odd angle. Clearly, she was injured. LOVE reached out to her with the Force.Â
Nothing.Â
LOVE was unable to feel...anything. They couldnât levitate, either. And, unable to Force Manipulate physical objects.Â
The fisticuffs binding their hands, looked different from anything LOVE had seen before.  Â
The CX Trooper in the pilotâs seat faced away from love, busily dabbing bacta on his facial wounds.Â
âYou can TRY. The restraints were specifically designed for a Force Sensitive such as yourself.âÂ
He didnât glance up from his wound care.Â
LOVE reached out again.Â
NOTHING. No Force powers at all.Â
However, LOVE could still physically move their body.Â
CX swung around in his chair. He raised his left hand and motioned to his face.Â
âYour...pet is responsible for this!âÂ
LOVEâs eyes widened with the realization Tiggy was the culprit...smiling deviously at the Trooper.Â
He snarled back at LOVE and swung his chair back around to face the pilotâs console.Â
âYou think this is a JOKE? If you resist in ANY way or refuse to do what I say, I will shoot your pet dead and blow her body out the airlock.âÂ
He calmly fitted a new glove carefully over his bandaged hand.Â
LOVE laid their head down on the metal floor and whimpered pathetically.Â
It was quite the vision: Taaviâs Barâge Fix âN Go was an immense, rough looking, refurbished old barge freighter, including a multitude of modifications lit with neon. Blocking out the stars as it slowly sailed past. According to Sil, it served as a docking station, mechanical repair, hotel, cafeteria, bar...Â
...and an illegal and VERY secretive âtreat and street itâ clinic.Â
Uncle Taavi always came up with several streams of income. His major one being a repair service for ships, droids, devices, and prosthetics. He also rescued feral Tooka cats, spayed, neutered, providing them medical treatment and care. Â
Taavi NEVER stopped fixing things. Fixing things was HIS LIFE.Â
The Marauder was able to pull the still barely operational Beldame from the hyperspace lane, then detach from its top. Echo and Wrecker piloted the Havoc Marauder while Hunter and Sil slowly followed behind piloting the Dread Beldame. Tech and Omega sat with Mad on the âDame making sure she stayed medically stable. Omega also kept her eyes glued on Hunter. He INSISTED on helping pilot the Beldame...knife STILL buried in his thigh. She twirled her fingers in Madâs long mohawk tail with one hand and held Madâs hand with the other.Â
Omega ALSO worried about LOVE and Tiggy while listening to Madâs ragged breaths.Â
Mad didnât know LOVE and Tig wasnât with them. She anticipated the fear and heartbreak a mother would experience when she found out...Â
Tech did his best to TRY and distract her by infodumping...to no avail.Â
With help of the Barâge âN Goâs tractor beam, it pulled in the hulking mass of the Dread Beldame into the landing bay of the barge. The Batch marveled at the repair bay. Taavi seemed to have EVERYTHING to fix ANY kind of ship, arranged neatly and cleanly. True the equipment was much older but well-made and maintained expertly. Odd looking, refurbished droids zoomed and whizzed back and forth inside itâs mechanical bay.Â
After both ships landed. Their respective crews emerged...to greet the man who owned this establishment: Madâs Uncle Taavi.Â
He was as tall as Echo with shaggy black hair, dark skinned, his face heavily tattooed with symbols and designs. His eyes, pitch-black silver speckled irises, indicative of the OLD Nomaadi. A subset of their people older than time...before the Long Purge of their numbers....and one of the reasons the Nomaadi were referred to as âThe Star People.â His patchworked but well-fitting clothing indicative of a Nomaadi with deep family ties...the pieces of snipped fabric from family and friends sewn as embellishment on his clothing. A tapestry of memories and strength of family ties to accompany him on his Long Road: The Journey of Life. Heavy and well-worn work boots completed the outfit.Â
A small statured...child? Walked next to Taavi with the confidence of an adult. Her unmelanted hair braided into many long, tiny braids that trailed past her shoulders. Her eyes: Either blue or ultraviolet, depending on the light. Blue veins occasionally showing through her pale albino skin.  Â
Finally, a standard Astromech adorned in rose gold detailing, a yellow light on her dome. She was a spiffy droid to behold. Of course...she knew it... Behind the astromech followed several tiny droids, and two Tooka kittens chasing after them.Â
Taavi stopped. His eyes wide in surprise.Â
âSil? As I breathe the stale recirculated shitty air of this ship...never thought Iâd see ya AGAIN!!!âÂ
He grabbed Sil up and hugged the teen. Sil hugged Taavi back.Â
When Taavi let go, he wiped a tear from his eye. Â
Sil leaned out, grabbing Thoomie and pulling her into the hug as well. She embraced Sil. Â
Then Taavi caught sight of Mad being carried in Hunterâs arms. She was covered in dirt and crusted blood from multiple wounds. Her breathing loud, harsh, and labored. She was barely conscious.Â
âOhhh FORCE NOOO! We gotta get her into the bacta tank! COME WITH ME!!!â Taavi didnât ask for introductions. He ushered them through the ship and into a secret wing that contained a large medical lab.Â
Taavi motioned to Hunter âPut âer in there. Weâll clean her in that tub first, then put âer in the tank.âÂ
Hunter carefully placed Mad into the stainless steel tub. Then stood over her and stared silently. He seemed mentally far away...Â
âUncle...â Thoomie tapped Taavi on the arm. âI think heâs in a state of shock.âÂ
Taavi did a double take at Hunter, pointing âSon...ya got a knife stickinâ out of ya there...âÂ
Hunter calmly glanced down at the knife and back at Taavi âYes...âÂ
âThoo, take...whatshisname...â Taavi nodded to Hunter.Â
âHunterâ Hunter answered.Â
âHunter and that smart lookinâ fella...â Taavi nodded at Tech.Â
âIâm Tech.â Tech added smugly.Â
âWith Tech and that droid guyâ Taavi referred to Echo.Â
Echo didnât answer, just shook his head grimacing.Â
Tech answered for Echo âUh, that is Echo.âÂ
âSure.â Taavi waved them on. âHave âem help you prep Hunter for surgery. Canât be walkinâ around MY ship with a knife stickinâ outta ya like nothinâs happenin.â Taavi shook his head. âMad sure can pick âem...âÂ
âCome with meâ Thoomie took Hunterâs hand and led him, Tech, and Echo away.Â
âSil, stay with me. You can catch me up while we work on your Auntie.â Then Taavi addressed Wrecker.  âEh, big guy...Help me clean up Mad so we can plop âer in that bacta tank.âÂ
âUh...ok.â Wrecker seemed confused about what was happening.Â
Taavi recognized Wreckerâs confusion. âYou wanna get free care, ya gotta pitch in and help. Droids will finish after we start, ok? Besides, Mad will pitch a fit if we let them droids touch her.âÂ
Wrecker hesitated.  Â
Sil nodded to him and patted his back. âYou got this Wrecker. Uncle Taavi will walk ya through it.âÂ
Wrecker nodded and did as he was told.Â
CHAPTER 25 - "THE NIGHTMARE"
Thoomie handed Echo a surgical gown and bag for Hunterâs clothes. She then handed a tub of Bacta wipes to Tech. She instructed Hunter to sit down.Â
She pulled a syringe out of a drawer, then a drug bottle from a wall unit, and began drawing up a dose. Thoomie approached Hunter.Â
Echo and Tech glanced alarmingly at each other. Tech stepped in her way âIs it standard protocol on this ship to have CHILDREN give injectable medication?âÂ
Thoomie laughed. âForgot youâre new here. Iâm NOT a child.âÂ
Echo and Tech glanced at each other again...now in confusion.Â
âI have a rare genetic disorder that inhibits my normal growth and development. Will FOREVER look like a preteen or teenager...for the rest of my life.âÂ
Both clones stared at Thoomie stunned.Â
âYouâre defective???â Tech blurted out.Â
Thoomie winced âEr...you COULD say that. I prefer the term different...or unique. PLEASE step aside and let me treat your batchmates' pain. His condition is worsening, and I need to remove that knife as soon as possible.âÂ
Tech stepped back.Â
âHow did you know weâre clones?â Echo asked as Thoomie swabbed Hunterâs arm with a bacta wipe and injected into his vein. Hunter winced slightly and came out of his glazed state to attempt to rub the area. Thoomie handed him a square of sterile gauze and gently placed his hand over the area like a parent would a child. Hunter kept quiet and held pressure on the injection site.Â
âThe timbre of your voices. Subtle similarities in your facial features. Other...tells in your mannerisms. Hard to explain.â She tossed the syringe in a sharp's container.Â
âWhat would you require of us to assist you in helping Hunter.â Tech spoke up.Â
âIâll let you both undress him completely, throw the clothes in the bag, then wipe him down all over. Donât worry about his hair. Put the gown on with the opening in the front. Please drape several FRESH bacta wipe over his private parts for cleanliness and discretion. Knock on the partition when youâre done. I can then prep him for surgical removal of that vibroknife.â  Â
Then she handed a pair of medical scissors to Tech. âImagine you will need these to get his blacks off without further injury. We have extra clothing on board if this is his only pair of pants. Please be quick. Thank you.â She promptly left the room.Â
Tech pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose âThe Nomaadi NEVER cease to amaze me.âÂ
Echo put his hand on Hunterâs shoulder to get his attention. He could tell the pain meds were starting to to work. âLetâs get you ready, ok?âÂ
Hunter nodded sleepily...as he closed his eyes...drifting into the dark...Â
They had come for him and his brothers AGAIN.Â
Hunter wedged himself under the small gap beneath his lower bunk, pressing his back against the wall of their barracks. He managed to pull Crosshair halfway under. Only little Hunter and his skinny younger brother could manage to fit.Â
Crosshairs fear was palpable as he scrambled to squeeze in with Hunter. Tech rigged the mechanics of their bunk room door so it could only open from the INSIDE. He hid behind the already large Wrecker who stood tall and RAGEFULLY angry, fists clenched and ready for a good fight.Â
They were ONLY children.Â
The Kaminoanâs and their clinical assistants routinely carried out medical experiments on them. They rebelled against the pain, shame, and inappropriately probing hands that explored their bodies.Â
This was NOT the first time the Bad Batchers had resisted.Â
The Kamino medical staff learned the hard way several times to bar access to ANY sharp objects or ANYTHING at all that could be used as a weapon. This left the Batchers room barren of any toys or enrichment. Only to be let out for training and mess hall meals. When it was found the defective clones had smuggled in an occasional training weapon or a table utensil from the mess hall, they were routinely patted down, scanned, and accompanied by the staff themselves.Â
As the Batchers anger and resentment peaked, along with their accelerated growth, strength, and strategy, fully trained teenage Reg clones were called in to perform this duty.Â
Some of these Regs sustained severe injuries, thus creating MORE resentment already present among the âDefectiveâ Clones and the Regs. This rivalry came to a head when Hunterâs nose was broken during a particularly violent scuffle and Tech was knocked unconscious, almost compromising his advanced mental capacity. Wrecker and Crosshairâs retaliation was immediate and SEVERE. One of the Regs barely survived HIS injuries.Â
From that time on the Kaminoanâs ONLY sent in the most hardened adult clone troopers in armor to retrieve them. Lama Su considered âdiscontinuingâ their squad due to the inconvenience. But Nala Se convinced him this sharpened their skills and made them more âelite.âÂ
Clearly, the child Batchers were no match for these new adversaries.Â
Wrecker didnât give a damn. As the door was finally breached and the clone troopers spilled in he rushed them. His screams of rage sounded familiar to Hunter...Â
...like an angry dog.Â
Tech begged for leniency as he was dragged away, promising to be compliant from now on...Â
Hunter held tight to Crosshair...Â
...who was yanked from his grasp and pulled out from under the bunk.Â
Hunter attempted to call out to his brother but could make NO sound.Â
âOW! LITTLE FUCKER BIT ME!!!â As Crosshair was dropped face down on the hard white glossy floor. Blood splattered across the polished tiles from Crossâ split lip.Â
Crosshair pulled his face from the floor, yelling Hunterâs name...Â
...it wasn't Crosshairâs face, but Jebith Freed.Â
A green armored CX trooper grabbed the boyâs leg, dragging him away while he trailed bloody purple rose petals in his wake...SCREAMING Hunterâs name over and over...as the bunk room melted into an alien forest...Â
Lightning struck the ground. Torrential rain fell in thick sheets.Â
Hunter, terrified watched from under his bunk as the ground gave way swallowing both the boy and trooper up.Â
The wall behind Hunter groaned, buckled...muddy water spilled through cracks. He attempted to scrabble away, but the remaining wall of the bunk room collapsed around him. A wave of muddy water and debris enveloped Hunter....Â
...dragging him down into the darkness...Â
Hunter awoke with a START.Â
"Youâre safe, Hunter. Iâm here.â Omegaâs voice.Â
Her face came into view.Â
He felt fuzzy around the edges of his consciousness. Hunter had gotten enough injuries in the past to recognize recovery from sedated anesthesia.  Â
âYouâre not on Kamino anymore. Weâre on a Nomaadi sanctuary barge.âÂ
Omega held Hunterâs hand tightly as the realization set in.  Â
âHow...did you know?â Â
âI remember EVERYTHING you ALL went through on Kamino.â Omegaâs voice trembled âUntil Shaak Ti found out and intervened...instead of the Reg troopers, they began sending ME to help gain your trust.â Her face conveyed deep sadness. âWhen you all finally complied, I was not allowed around your squad...again.âÂ
âHow come I donât remember?â Hunter rubbed his forehead.Â
âIt was traumatic. You shut it out. The memories are still in there...they come out in your dreams.âÂ
â...nightmare...definitely NOT a dream.â Hunter swallowed. He was overcome with emotion from the effects of the anesthesia. His eyes welled up.Â
âSO glad to have you âMega. I LOVE YOU.â He choked. Hunter felt this MANY times but never vocalized it.Â
Omega threw herself onto Hunter, hugging his neck tightly. âI LOVE YOU TOO HUNTER! I was so scared of losing you!!!âÂ
âTake the whole galaxy to hold me back from you, âMega. Sorry I had to leave you on this mission...â He hitched as he inhaled. A tear ran down his cheek. And Hunter squeezed his eyes shut tightly. âIf I hadnât left you behind this time, probably never see you again...âÂ
He opened his eyes to see Wrecker and Echo approaching his bedside. He could see the relief in their eyes.Â
But Hunterâs post anesthetic daze wasnât done...Â
âI failed...â He mumbled to them. âLost LOVE, and somehow Tiggy...Jebith...this kid on that planet we ran into...âÂ
âHunter...â Echo squeezed Hunters shoulder reassuringly. âYou couldnât...âÂ
âNO...should have had you and Wrecker along with us...âÂ
Wrecker looked concerned over his brotherâs uncharacteristically strong emotional outburst.Â
âIt was HORRIBLE! Like losing Caleb Dume all over again!!!â Hunter worked himself up. âI FAILED CROSSHAIR TOO! HE WAS RIGHT...IâM NOT FIT TO LEAD...â More tears. â...NOT FIT TO BE A BROTHER...OR A FATHER...âÂ
âNow, nowâ Echo patted Hunterâs shoulder. His normally gruff voice softer. âThatâs SOME kind of anesthesia he cominâ out of!âÂ
âPerfectly normal range of surgical recovery behaviorâ The old Med Droid, who had been washing Hunterâs muddy hair prior to him awakening, handed a tissue to Hunter. âDeeply held thoughts and feelings do tend to surface when the patient awakens. Wipe your eyes, friend. We must get some sustenance into you soon. It will help you healâÂ
âThank you, Rustyâ Omega took the tissue from the droid and dabbed at Hunterâs face. âPLEASE donât cry Hunter. You did what you could.âÂ
Hunter sniffed and steadied his breathing.Â
Wrecker leaned over and carefully hugged Hunter, then kissed him on the temple. âHey...let the Droid finish âyer hair.âÂ
âYeah, you look like a wet mess.â Echo joked.Â
Hunter took the tissue from Omega and blew his nose. âYeah...a total mess...â He started to come out of the anesthesia a bit more. âApologiesâÂ
âNone needed.â Echo smiled.Â
Omega held Hunters hand, patting it.Â
Rusty conditioned and rinsed his hair again, then dried it fully. Hunter reached up to run his fingers through his hair. SO SOFT!  Â
He mildly panicked at the absence of his bandana.Â
âNo worries, friend. All of your clothing has been taken to the laundry. We will return it to you soon, clean and pressed!âÂ
The droid wizzed around to Hunterâs bedside. âDonât YOU look HANDSOME! Now your family will take you to see your lady.âÂ
Hunter attempted to pull back the blankets and get off the hover stretcher.  Â
âNO Hunter!â Echo pushed Hunter back down on the stretcher. âGotta lie still, or youâll pull out your sutures.âÂ
Wrecker chuckled âAnd youâre only wearing that blanket. Nothinâ else.âÂ
âOh!â Hunter blushed and chuckled, now in better spirits but still feeling the effects of the drugs.Â
âRelax and your family will take care of the rest.â Rusty waved goodbye as Echo wheeled Hunter down the corridor. Omega and Wrecker waved back following behind.Â
They wheeled Hunter into an adjacent room containing several bacta tanks. Sil leaned against the tank, waiting for Mad to awaken.  Omega ran to him, and they embraced each other.  Tech infodumped animatedly with a 2-1B med droid named âBucket.â But paused when he spotted Hunter.Â
âYou appear to be recovering quite well.â He smiled brightly. âI am extremely pleased, Hunter.âÂ
âThatâs...SO affectionate of you, Tech.â Hunter chuckled, then turned to Taavi and Thoomie. âHow is Mad? Are the babies...âÂ
Thoomie answered âSheâs just recovering from anesthesia. The babies are EXTREMELY healthy...and STILL growing! Never seen anything like it!!! I am concerned about Mad, though. Sheâs been through A LOT physically.âÂ
âSheâll REQUIRE quite a lot of rest and nutrition. The accelerated growth could take a negative toll on her health as the multiple fetuses she is carrying will literally leach the nutrients from her body.â Tech added.Â
âEh, sounds like sheâs got parasites.â Wrecker shivered.Â
âTechnically...unborn babies ARE commensal parasitesâ Tech adjusted his goggles.Â
Echo grimaced âPregnancy sounds...creepy...compared to clone Growth Jars.âÂ
âItâs beautiful.â Hunter mused, staring at the bacta tank Mad was currently floating in. âImagine giving up your body for another life. Not just during pregnancy but devoting all your energy to raising that delicate being once itâs born, grows, becomes its own person. Loving that little life so much it almost hurts...willing to sacrifice or even die for it...heck...some people do it for others who canât experience that themselves...â Hunter smiled and tears welled up in his eyes.Â
Thoomie was impressed âThatâs...pretty deep.âÂ
âYep. Thatâs Hunter.â Echo grinned. âUsually, itâs all in his head. Weâre lucky to hear it out loud right now because of the surgery drugs.âÂ
âHe does wax poetically when inebriated as wellâ Tech added âWhen sober Hunter tends to hold a HUGE amount of emotional weight in.âÂ
âThatâs Techâs way of sayinâ Hunters a BIG softie.â Wrecker whispered to Taavi.Â
Taavi chuckled. âGood thing to be. The galaxy needs more empathy, no?âÂ
âMy apologies for the interruptionâ Bucket interjected âOur patient is waking up. Vitals are within normal ranges currently.âÂ
âWhoa, there!â Uncle Taavi tapped the bacta tank to get Madâs attention.Â
Mad stirred and slowly started to realize where she was. Inside of the bacta tank she was hooked up to an IV line, a feeding tube, respirator, bacta nebulizer, and endotracheal vacuum. The lines swayed around her as she bobbed in the bacta solution. Mad was only clad in a medical chest binder and med panties which helped secure the lines that carried her urination and defecation waste away. The rest of her exposed body covered in a multitude of small lacerations from the shrapnel Uncle Taavi had surgically removed.Â
He could see her anxiety ramping up.Â
âShe gonna RIP them out. Bet ya.â Taavi remarked to Thoomie and Tech.Â
âWhile I understand your concerns restraints seemed too severe an option.â Tech remarked.Â
Thoomie nodded âI agree with Tech.âÂ
âAh, you never seen Mad lose her SHIT! Sheâs got a phobia about all of thisâ Taavi motioned to the whole tank, then addressed the B1. âSorry Bucket, best to leave outta here for now 'fore she notices you. Or gonna be hell to pay!âÂ
The B1 turned to Thoomie. She nodded âIt would be best for the patient. You can return when she is sleeping.âÂ
Hunter commiserated âMy apologies, Bucket.â. Â
The droid silently turned to leave.Â
Mad eyed the med droid suspiciously, then flashed an obscene hand gesture as it left the room.Â
Hunter giggled.Â
Mad attempted to laugh too but erupted into a violent coughing fit.Â
She choked and gagged SOMETHING up. One of the tubes attached to her life support face mask suctioned it out of her trachea.Â
Her breathing sounded slightly better and less raspy.Â
Hunter put his hand up to the glass, pressing his palm flat against it.  Â
Mad did the same on the interior of the tank. Â Eventually, she glanced further out in the room, shocked to recognize Uncle Taavi and Thoomie. Â She waved excitedly to them...and scanned the room again...Â
Someone was missing...Mad signed in Basic with her other hand...Â
LOVE? Tiggy...Â
Hunter TRIED his very best to keep a neutral face through his post-surgical haze. He was at a loss for words. Â
Mad glanced up at the faces of all the Batchers, Sil, Taavi, Thoomie...Â
Varying expressions of sadness and guilt is all she saw. Nobody spoke.Â
She hitched and cried out loudly, then choked and gagged violently again. In her grief, she reached for the tubes attached to her in what looked like an attempt to pull them out.Â
Thoomie immediately punched the sedative button on her IV line.Â
Mad went still within the tank, floating quietly while the endotracheal vacuum cleared her lungs.Â
âHate to say it...I told ya so...â Taavi whispered sadly.Â
Hunter covered his face with both hands and quietly sobbed.Â

Sometimes being in the SW Fandom is about diving into the annals of the internet researching the most obscure tidbit of batshit insane Canon or EU Lore imaginable to man (which is honestly my favorite thing to do because people have done some pretty insanely funny things with this universe and characters). But for the majority of the time, being in the SW Fandom is also watching people repeat a cycle of asinine arguments that make an absolute ass out of them for the worst possible reasons.
So here's a quick reminder of past arguments to be mindful of and always consider, when you see something in the tags that makes you wrinkle your nose at:
Everyone has something they like or dislike about the overall universe and story. Be it the Original Trilogy, the Prequels, the Sequels, the Animated series, the Live-Action series, EU stuff, Novels, etc. No one is above or below anyone else just because they don't love the entirety of the universe and/or the direction the current writers are taking it.
Canon can be a good baseline for your own creative purposes. You don't have to love it (because yes the whole thing can be inconsistent as hell), but don't get to a point in your fanfic/AU world-building where you vehemently deny that canon is an actual thing. This goes hand in hand with your personal depiction of characters vs someone else's depictions. Reading comprehension and the creative process depend on perspective and how you process the information you're given, so it's only normal that no two person's idea of a character is the same. But saying that your headcanons are how the characters should be written by everyone is not gonna do you any favors in the long run, because it's not up to you to decide on that. Don't forget Blorbo's actual roots and what it took to get him where you took him, but don't try to force someone else to accept the journey you orchestrated for them!
No one's OC should be put on a pedestal. It's good that people feel comfortable enough to play Barbies with each other's OCs in roleplay sessions, or even add a cameo in a fic to a character of a friend and/or artist/writer they admire from a distance. Hell, the fact many people are passionate about someone else's little fella/s is great! But the moment someone's OC becomes an object of obsession within a Fandom community, things can go a little wrong... It stops being fun to be in that kind of space that goes from welcoming OC discussions to suddenly shunning new people in favor of someone's Ultimate Blorbo who now has a Cult Following and should be written into every fanfic ever.
No one is evil for lacking knowledge or self-awareness of certain grievances that people rightfully have with the source material. The SW Fandom has always had a long-standing issue with racial stereotyping, whitewashing, cultural appropriation, sexism and many other equally serious topics that have been more eloquently explained in posts made by people much more eloquent and qualified than I am or ever will be. However, one must recognize that not everyone who joins the Fandom is immediately aware of these things. Especially the younger generations that have either not been exposed to these concepts due to one reason or another (upbringing, biased educational curriculum, etc), or because they were simply never in a position where they could delve into these topics with someone knowledgeable on them (some experiences simply aren't universal, especially if you come from a more privileged family). For the most part, SW is just a silly sci-fi universe that is nothing more than a simple means of escapism or dumb fun. Not everyone is going to study it under a microscope or go through it with a fine comb. That said, another important thing to remember is to listen to those who know their stuff and that have had personal grievances with any of the topics above. You can be excused for lack of knowledge, but you cannot be excused for purposefully ignoring the voices of those who provide you said knowledge for free if you go searching.
This is kinda returning to the second and previous topics, but I really need to put emphasis on this: If you're going to cling to certain design choices with an iron first and incorporate them into your personal ideas/headcanons, please always consider how it SOUNDS when you say characters that are written with basis on real POC people/communities are much better/superior if they have phenotypical trait expressions that are not present (or considered rare/atypical) in their real world basis. This is a CONSISTENT problem I have seen crop up specifically within the Clone Wars and Bad Batch sides of the fandom, especially when talking about Rex (who is a blond) and Clone Force 99 (who do not look like standard clones). Always remember: The problem isn't that Rex can't be naturally blond (genetics can be unpredictable and we really don't have an extensive look into the cloning process), the problem is the way some people think he'd be inferior in some way if he were a bottle blond who chose to distinguish himself (almost as if having darker skin, darker hair and darker eyes is somehow worse than having lighter skin, lighter hair or lighter eyes.. How curious isn't it?). Needless to say, I don't think I need to elaborate further on why CF99's "desirable mutations" giving them considerably lighter skin and less ethnic features, while also making their most POC presenting member look and sometimes act like a moronic brute (something which this Fandom pushes further by infantilizing him relentlessly), is a bit of a red flag...
Star Wars has always been political. It is literally in the name and in the meat of the writing. The entire thing is basically a political and social critique presented in a sci-fi/fantasy wrapper, with colorful plasma swords, cool spaceships, and kickass explosion bow on top. You cannot separate the political conversation from the universe's overall lore, and trying to do so makes you look foolish. Disney may have taken creative liberties with some of its shows, but at the end of the day they can't ever eliminate what the Original Trilogies and even the Prequels tried to tell us about. With that said, complaining about how some of the new shows are "too Woke" or PC is the equivalent of saying you read Romeo and Juliet and that the story is relationship goals. You might need to revisit the original material.
For the love of god if you don't like something, don't go after someone who does, it's not worth it. Sometimes the best thing you can do is either filter something you actively dislike/that makes you feel uncomfortable, or simply unfollow/block whoever is repeatedly bringing it onto your doorstep. And you also have no real obligation to explain your decision to block someone, especially if they hound you for questions. Rule of thumb: Don't like something? That's perfectly fine and valid. Take the steps to make yourself comfortable then, but don't go out of your way to be a royal asshole to someone else just because they themselves enjoy it. This encompasses things from anti-jedi demonization, actual ethnic cleansing in canon, siding with personifications of alt-right extremists, proshipping apologism, etc. The block button was added to this hellsite for a reason. Use it.
Sometimes you can't change someone else's opinions on a matter and that is perfectly fine. Just don't start a feud. People come and go, and their opinions vary (we're all individuals with out own perspectives and unique experiences after all), but getting up in arms every time someone either refuses to yield in a long-winded argument, or continuously tries to shove their unsolicited opinions/advice onto you, or even makes incredibly uncomfortable/forward/gross comments that they definitely shouldn't be saying to a complete stranger on the internet, is kind of pointless and will drain you of energy faster than you can say Death Star. You're not the lesser person for walking away from a lost cause. It's ultimately not your job or responsibility to fix/better someone else. Especially if they don't want to change.

Okay, a sudden idea just popped up in my head. You can write this anytime you want or you can just ignore it but if your interested in writing, how about reader who is on the verge of death, gets saved by muichiro ? How would he react ? Or what would he do in a situation like that ? Your fanfics are what motivates me as a writer !! I literally became on because I wanted to be like you đâ€ïž
Muichiro saves you.
Warnings: blood
This was by far the most challenging demon you had ever fought. You were struggling to keep up with its moves, and multiple times you had brought your blade down on its neck only to be unable to slash it.
Think- You thought to yourself. What would Muichiro do?
You suddenly had an idea come to mind. The final Mist Breathing form Seventh Form: Obscuring Clouds. It was a dangerous idea, you had only managed to use it properly once. The move focused on confusing the demon on your position then when you finally do go in for the strike you are extremely slow.
It was risky- if you didn't do it right you'd for sure be dead. But you had to try something you were losing stamina fast and wouldn't be able to do anything else soon.
On a whim, you attempted the Seven Form giving it everything you got. You spun around the demon which worked to confuse it. Seeing your opening you finally went in for the strike. The demon being taken off guard had barely any time to react, but still, it was not enough.
As your blade finally came down slicing the demon's head off, the demon at the same time went to strike you, hitting a vital organ. The demon's head fell to the floor disintegrating at once, and you fell down next to it.
Shit- I'm going to die, you realized. It wouldn't be long before you'd bleed out from your injury. Using the strength you had left you focused your breathing on slowing the bleeding. If you could hold out long enough, maybe just maybe another corps member would find you.
It didn't take long before in the distance you heard someone approaching. You felt your heart skip a beat at your good fortune. Much longer and you would have not made it. I hope this is an experienced corps member you thought, just as you were met with the sight of Muichiro looking down at you.
His eyes instantly widened in alarm at the state you were in and he dropped to the floor next to you.
"Keep focusing on your breathing," He instructed as he ripped off one of his sleeves and tied it around your injury to put pressure.
As grateful as you were that Muichiro had found you, you couldn't help but feel embarrassed that you had been so badly injured by not even an upper-rank demon.
"I'm sorry tok-," You began to say but Muichiro brought a finger to your lips shushing you.
"Do not apologize, you risked your life to slay a demon. That is what any Hashira would have done."
You felt a smile spread on your lips at his praises but slowly your vision began to blur.
"Keep focusing on your breathing, and I'll get you to the butterfly mansion as soon as possible," he said, gently grabbing you into his arms. Upon picking you up in his arms Muichiro realized how bad off you were. You didn't even have the strength to hold your head up or wrap your arms around him for support.
Muichiro carefully placed the weight of your head against his chest and his arm, keeping your head upright to avoid any choking. Once he felt comfortable with how secure you were, he took off in the direction of the butterfly mansion.
"Alert Miss Kocho we are coming," He said to his crow who swiftly flew ahead.
Muichiro continued to make his way as fast as he could without disturbing you in your arms. Even with his swift pace you were beginning to lose consciousness and started to come to terms with possibly dying.
"Tokito-" You called in barely above a whisper.
"Hm?" He glanced at you then back up, continuing to run.
"I- I'm glad it's you here with me- if this is my last-"
"No!" He yelled. "We still have so much to do together, do not even begin to say such things!" Tears swelled up in his eyes. "Just keep focusing on your breathing, save all your strength for that! We're almost there!" He looked down at you once more seeing the sleeve he had tied around you was now soaked through as was his own uniform where he was holding you. Yet your soft breathing continued, you followed his orders and did not give up just yet.
Finally passing through the gates of the Butterfly Mansion, Shinobu was ready and waiting. Instantly taking you to bed and getting to work attending to your wound.
"She'll be alright?" Muichiro asked, voice shaking.
"I'm going to try my best, it's a wonder she survived this long," Shinobu answered.
Thank you for the request Kye! Youâre too sweet ahhh! Youâre doing amazing with your own fics keep it up! For anyone that hasnât check out @sleepykye fics! Her work is so unique and adorable~

Since you are a passionate jedi fan, I would be interested in your opinion on a thing I noticed on AO3. There is a fanon that is inspired by Ancient Greek scholars having had sex with their pupils. In the fics there is a special night in which the masters have to fuck their padawans because it is tradition. Sex and AO3, you ask? What's new, you ask? What is new is that the writers explicitely write in their notes that the institutionalized fucking of the padawans is their way to show how corrupt and morally bad the jedi are. But how is something that fanfic writers completely made up to get more readers (because sex sells) a critique of the jedi in canon? No matter what answer I come up with, it is weird. Are these fanfic writers fetishizing a law allowing teachers to fuck their students, feel bad for their own arousal and try to shrug it off by making themselves believe that they are just writing these sex scenes for a "good cause"? I mean, if they hated the jedi so much, why would they write about them? The MCU or DC would get them more readers, right? I simply can't come up with a satisfying answer to why this mental gymnastics exist. I know this is a very long ask, but please address it if it is of any interest to you as well!
Hi, anon! đđâš
Sooooo deeply sorry for the long wait time. đđđ Things just got away from me, and I kept putting off my response because I wanted to make sure I had the time to give the nitty gritty of my thoughts on your ask.
And as a pro jedi fan and a SW fan in general⊠I just have to say⊠ew. đâčïžđ€ąđ
And itâs not necessarily that Iâm trying to SHAME people that write darker or more sexual stuff (even though there are some things that just genuinely baffle me why ANYONE would enjoy writing something so horrible, but then again, Iâve never been a fan of horror movies, sooo⊠đđ€·ââïž).
And look, Iâm aware that fiction is separate from reality and not necessarily a show of a personâs morals (itâs FAKE, at the end of the day), but at the same TIME, I believe people on this app and just in fandom spaces in general sometimes purposely plug their ears and sing âlalalalaâ by pretending that how we interact with the world doesnât shape our perception and psyche to SOME degree.
And this isnât me saying that if someone writes something like ânonconâ or âwhumpâ that theyâre going to go out and hurt anybody! Thatâs the EXTREME reaction that conservative panic tries to drum up by pretending that people have no self control and need to be shielded from ïżœïżœcorruption đâ or something like that. But what I DO believe is that seeing stories (whether love stories or family stories in general) WILL affect how someone can come to view relationships. This is on a tier scale, obviously. Kids and teenagers will have a harder time grasping why â365 Daysâ is not a modern Beauty and the Beast movie. đđ€Šââïž BUT⊠with ADULTS⊠itâs easier to separate fiction from reality⊠in a CONSCIOUS way. But for me, from a psychological standpoint, if a person grows up with a specific attraction to certain toxic love stories that are PRESENTED as healthy when they just arenâtâitâs POSSIBLE that they can unconsciously seek out someone who fits that mold. I donât think this is the NORMâbut it IS a possibility, and thatâs why I think itâs so important to recognize yourself and your own wants and needs in the real world and ask yourself âDoes this make me feel safe and happy? Or just obsessively DESIRED?â and other things such as that.
Anyway, I got a little off topic (which I often do đđ
), but my POINT is my disgust isnât necessarily about these writersâs choices on exploring such darker themes in their work if they truly want toâitâs THEIR fic, at the end of the day. But what DOES disgust me is (yes, dear anon, you guessed it! đđ) that apparently writers are USING this trope to create even MORE anti Jedi rhetoric when there is already SO much of it in the community in general (and that god awful âThe Acolyteâ show only made the hatred and genocide apologia worse, even though I do acknowledge the show wasnât given as much of a chance as Ahsoka and The Mandolrian shows were).
Just as The Acolyte had to INVENT an entire scenario where the âEMPATHETIC SPACE MONKS đđ€Šââïžâ of the galaxy apparently cover up a massacre which DIRECTLY parallels Anakin Skywalkerâs descent to the Dark Sideâwhich makes NO goddamn sense that itâs truly LAUGHABLEâyou have brought to me a fic trope scenario where the writer has apparently INVENTED something that was NEVER canon to show how âcorrupt đâ the Jedi Order isâbefore they stand back and go âhaha! đ See? SUCHHH horrible people.â, as if they didnât just invent that scenario in THEIR own head to justify their bias against the Jedi and their way of life.
Itâs very similar to the uncharitable views that certain parts of the SW fandom (specifically the Anidala and the radical Anakin fans) have towards the Jedi in regards to NONCANON info that we do NOT truly know (such as why Anakin never visited Shimi all that time), before just CHOOSING the most uncharitable and mean spirited view of the Jedi that they can, which is sayingââWell, the Jedi Order must have a strict policy on NEVER seeing your birth family again, or theyâll be kicked out! đ€Șđ€Șâ, when there is NOTHING in canon to ever give any indication of that. Itâs literally fanon that has somehow all but become canon in the eyes of the fandom, and I havenât the foggiest clue how it happened (yes I do. đđ« Itâs because SW fans LIKE Anakin, so of COURSE they donât want to admit he was in the wrong or that he couldâve taken things too personally or the wrong wayâso they settle on, âThose mean Jedi mustâve bullied him and kept him from his mom! đĄđ€Șâđđ€Šââïž).
Fans will make something up out of thin airâliterally twisting themselves into KNOTS to try and excuse Anakinâs choices while blaming everyone else to pretend itâs not his fault and he didnât truly have a choice (COMPLETELY untrue)âwhile at the very same TIME, giving absolutely NONE of that courtesy to the Jedi Order themselves. The Jediâs actions are nitpicked to DEATH. Everything they doâchoosing to fight in the war to save lives instead of sitting on the sidelines to watch the galaxy burn, not worshiping the ground Anakin walked on to try and teach him humility and grace and respect, literally putting their LIVES on the line RIGHT BESIDE THE CLONES each day on the battlefield, Mace going to arrest Palpatine before realizing the man would never be convicted at a corrupt trialâNONE of it is ever enough.
They are 10,000 strong (NOT taking into consideration how some are younglings or retired Jedi), and yet they are judged with the sharpness of a knife that they cannot solve every damn trillions of problems in the galaxy.
They are a literal DROP in the ocean. It is LAUGHABLE to expect them to somehow be able to end slavery throughout the galaxy in the Outer Rim without the backing of the Republicâs help (which they definitely would NOT choose to help the Jedi, and even if somehow they DID, it would STILL be a long and tedious thing that would take DECADES to fully accomplish), and it is even MORE ludicrous to BLAME the JEDI FUCKING ORDER of all people for the Clonesâs situation, like they could just stroll into the Senate building and wave their lightsabers around to suddenly give the clones their (deserved) rights, or to expect them to somehowâwhat? Kidnap all the clones (because a lot of clones would sadly NOT go willingly because of their brainwashing indoctrination that this is what they were âmade forâ) and run from fighting in the war? Where the hell do people expect them to GO? How do people expect the Jedi to be able to take CARE of all those people (INCLUDING their own) in such a situation without the Republic backing or the Temple walls?âbe able to just magically give the clones rights or to just magically be able to say no to fighting in the war as if that would somehow do ANYTHING for the clones instead of just placing them under the rule of men like Tarkin.
The one thing I will concede is that (WHILE being in the war, because YES, despite what some people believe, it was UNAVOIDABLE. Palpatine definitely made sure of that) the Jedi probably needed to learn to get more into politics to control their image in the eyes of the public (ironic, considering how many people blame them for their own genocide by saying they were âtoo involved in politics đâ when the TRUTH is that they did everything to AVOID being in the political sphere because they heavily disliked it). There is a bit of (gentle-hearted) naĂŻvetĂ© here, because they all assume that the citizens of the galaxy will just SEE that the Jedi are trying to protect them. But people get selfish and greedy REAL fast when their lives become affected badly by things happening around them. And the more the war dragged on, the more citizens of the galaxy (disgustingly) latched onto Palpatineâs slowly growing propaganda that the Jedi were somehow the big bad villains of the war and not likeâoh, I donât knowâthe fucking SENATE. đđđ€Šââïž
My POINT is thatâyouâre RIGHT, anon. This fic trope youâve brought up is (while HEAVILY ew in my eyes đđ€ą) just one part of a growing infection of the SW fandom where itâs becoming the âedgyâ take to blame the Jedi (the VICTIMS) for their own genocide, instead of placing the blame at the politiciansâs feet, where it belongs. Palpatine wasnât able to gain this power ALONE. The Senate makes it EASY for him. Because theyâre all out for themselves at the end of the day (YES, even PadmĂ©, who wouldâve taken Anakinâs tusken massacre to the grave if sheâd had the chance), and even the ones that DO care about the bills theyâre trying to push to help change things STILL are in such a position of privilege (ironic, considering fandom pretends the Jedi Order is âprivilegedâ, when they are anything but and are more of a âmodel minorityâ group struggling desperately to keep the soft power they have to at the very LEAST have a place at the Senateâs side to TRY and make them see reason sometimes) that they forget about the little people suffering underneath them (PadmĂ© has to be REMINDED of this by one of her handmaidens at one point).
The point is that George Lucas intended the SENATE to be the corruption of the Prequels that brought about their own doom. Not the fucking JEDI. đđ€Šââïž But somehow, SW fandom has rewritten their memories to somehow believe this to be true. But if theyâd watch ANY George Lucas interview, theyâd see this is not the case. And people are allowed to have different interpretations of stories at the end of the dayâbut what IS ridiculous is how certain anti Jedi fans SHAMELESSLY try to rewrite history by outright STATING that it WAS GLâs original intent to portray the Jedi as âcorrupt đâ, which is just⊠SO far from accurate that itâs laughable.
But yeah, at the end of the day, the REAL âvillainâ (besides the Sith) of the prequels is the SENATE, because THEY are the ones who should be doing their jobs, but who are INSTEAD lining their pockets or kissing up to the clueless citizens of the galaxy come election time, while apathetically expecting the Jedi Order to solve all the problems that the SENATE is too damn lazy and selfish to solve.
The one conclusion I can make is that if the Jedi HAD realized theyâd need to play the game of politics to keep in the publicâs good gracesâthen you bet your ASS they would have been on intergalactic interview after intergalactic interview subtly âhintingâ at the clonesâs lack of rights and plight to try and stir up public outcryâbecause THAT is how you get true change. By changing things from WITHIN the very public itself. Because THAT is the only thing that will make the Senate LISTENâis if theyâre at risk of losing votes later on down the line.
Anyway, I of course went on the longest of rants once again. Lol. đđ
But I hope the long wait time was worth this response! đâ€ïžđ

Hi Sabezra community.
Am I an English speaker? No. That's why I apologize in advance for the crimes against the English language that I'm going to commit next. But I still hope you can understand me. I'm not even sure anyone will see this.
It's been a while since I came here to find people who love the same things as me. Like a refuge from the outside world. I planned to post something only when I had something interesting to share with you all, like a video edit or fanart. Things so we could have fun together. The current circumstances didn't allow me to do anything for now, so I was just following things as a spectator.
Seeing all this ship war going on, made me feel like I wanted to get away from all social media, so I wouldn't see these things anymore. I also felt scared to express my love for this ship too. I'm scared to post this now.
Even my mother noticed that something was bothering me. She asked me several times what I had. I didn't want to tell her, because she's also a Star Wars fan and I don't want her to know everything that's going on. I want her to continue watching our favorite shows without thinking about negative things.
I want to get the hell away from it all, but for once, I would like to post this to all the Sabezra shippers who are receiving free hate. I think you guys need some love after suffering so much hate and I need to get out how I'm feeling. Because that's all I can do for now.
This whole time, I saw your fanart, I saw your video edits and I read many of the beautiful fanfics you wrote (I confess that I haven't read them all yet, it's due to lack of time, but I loved everything I read).
I see everyone putting so much love into what they do. And I can't ask you to continue, because I myself don't know if I'll ever be able to post anything in the future. But to be honest, I don't want you to stop. Am I being cowardly and selfish? Perhaps, but it's the truth.
But I'm here to remind you that not all Sabezra shippers are so active on social media, but we exist.
I've been a Star Wars fan for a few years and only watched Rebels during the pandemic. I started shipping Sabezra since then.
I was so happy that the Ahsoka series exists. And now I couldn't even watch Ahsoka or Rebels (I tend to rewatch the things I like many times). Because every time I try to watch it I'm reminded of this whole ship war that's going on.
So I decided to talk to a friend. He is also a Star Wars fan (and a fan of Rebels, which I recommended to him), but he doesn't follow things that happen on social media. We always talk about Star Wars, but we never talked about ships. But today I asked him what he thought of Ezra and Sabine.
He is my childhood friend and we practically grew up together, so I thought: "If he sees Sabine and Ezra as just friends/siblings, just like he and I are, maybe I'm seeing too much in the interactions between Sabine and Ezra and and I should just stop shipping them."Â
But to my surprise he also ships Sabezra. He said that you can see in the exchange of looks between them that there is something (In fact, my friend and I never look at each other the same way Sabine and Ezra look at each other). And he thinks Sabine is in love with Ezra.
The same case happens with my mother, who also loves Rebels and watches everything from SW since when she was young, but without following all the discussions that happen on the internet. When we watched Ahsoka, she said she thought Sabine liked Ezra since Rebels. She said this without me saying anything about shipping them. And when I asked her if she thought it was wrong to ship them, she said no and said she thinks they will be together someday. (I know, this may never happen, but hearing this from my mom warmed my little heart)
Even a friend of mine who isn't a fan, just watches casually, asked me if Sabine had a crush on Ezra.
Talking to these people from outside made me feel better, because this may not have been the intention of Dave and the others, but you can see that, based on common sense, no one can blame us for shipping them, it seems natural to many people. And not all Sabezra Shippers can be seen expressing this around.
I have nothing against anyone who ships wolfwren. But I won't lie and say I wasn't sad that the cast supported it so openly, while we are accepting crumbs. I confess that at first I felt betrayed. I haven't shipped Sabezra for as long as many of you, but I feel like I have. But thinking clearly, I understand them. Besides thinking that they can to ship whatever they want, just like us, I see it as a way for them to show support for the LGBT community. It is to be expected that they will do this. And it's okay.
Needless to say, I'm just posting this to express what I was feeling, I have no intention of hurting anyone. I am completely against any type of hate.
I don't regret watching Ahsoka, nor do I regret that the series existed. But I'm sorry to have seen so much fighting and hatred for something that was made to make us all happy. I wish I had followed everything in ignorance, as well as my friend and my mother. I think I'll start seeing things that way from now on.
I had a lot more to say, but I still don't know how to express them in words and this was turning into a mile long post. My first post and this was huge. I'm sorry for this. I needed to get these things out because I want to sleep and focus on the more important things I have to do.
And I want to be able to enjoy watching Ahsoka and Rebels again without feeling sick out remembering all the discussion surrounding it.
For now, I want you to know that I've been loving all the Sabezra content you've been posting. What I want to say is that I'm here and that I will continue to ship Sabezra until the end. Even if you don't see me interacting here.
Maybe later I'll regret posting this.Â
Maybe I'll delete it right away.Â
Maybe I'll never come around here again.Â
I don't know.
Too late. But everything is fine.Â
At least now you know I'm here.
I love you all.

Hyperspace Beacons: The Empire of the Handâs unique way of navigating the Chaos
Another in my Empire of the Hand world-building series, written for my fanfic series. Please see my document on Nirauan, the capital planet, here, on the Empire of the Hand's capital ships here, and on the Empire of the Hand military's ranks and the Explorer program here.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
How Hyperspace travel seems to work in most of the Galaxy Far Far Away:
It seems that very little thought was actually put into how exactly hyperspace works in Star Wars, but there a few "rules" that seem to pop up (mostly) consistently:
Firstly:Â You can't jump to hyperspace while still within the effects of a large gravity well -- i.e. a planet.Â
(Note:Â Â Rise of Skywalker can eat a bag of dicks for ignoring this long-established rule first set by Han Friggin' Solo in Ep. 4 for Force's sake!)
Second:Â Objects in real space cast "mass shadows" in hyperspace, so you can't go right "through" a star, for example, without killing yourself.Â
Third: When ships unexpectedly encounter a large mass while in hyperspace, they will exit into real space as a precaution. This is the basis for how interdiction technology works, where an artificial gravity well is generated to give the appearance of a large mass, and ships are either pulled out of hyperspace, or prevented from jumping to begin with.
Fourth:Â There are a lot of chaotic, unexpected and unpredictable large objects (i.e. large asteroids, rogue planets, black holes, etc) in most of the Unknown Regions/The Chaos, which makes hyperspace travel through the region a lot more difficult than in the rest of the galaxy.
Fifth: Hyperspace travel is very fast. No consistent speed is given, and travel times in stories vary by plot, but it is implied it takes no more than about two weeks to travel all the way across the diameter of the Galaxy. If we assume the Galaxy Far Far Away (GFFA) is similar in size to the Milky Way, that would mean it has a diameter of about 100 000 lightyears. That's so fast I can't do math well enough to determine just how fast it is. Compare that to another well-established sci-fi franchise, where it was predicted the âheroâ ship would take about 70 years at maximum warp to travel across the galaxy (they found a few shortcuts, but still).Â
My idea, based on the rules established above (in both Legends and Disney Canon) is that when a ship "jumps to 'lightspeed' ", what they are actually doing is jumping into a dimension where the speed of light is not the absolute speed limit it is in our universe (or in SW's "real space", presumably). The time spent in hyperspace is actually the time it takes the nav computer /astromech droid /Navigator /skywalker/etc. to plot the course based on how fast they can determine where mass shadows lie along the wanted path.
Therefore, it's not the Millennium Falcon's engines that are fast, for example, it's the ship's nav computer.
Ships "pop out" of hyperspace when the nav computer/whatever determines where the "exit" is. With well-established hyperspace routes, this is why a planet can be âblockadedâ by just blocking off a small area in the orbit of the planet, as seen with Queen Amadalaâs escape from Naboo in Episode One, when logically, a ship should be able to jump from any point in space as long as they were far enough away from the gravity well. Itâs not the planet itself that is being blockaded â itâs the long-established hyperspace jump point. Heading for a different point is like making a beeline for a highway instead of using the exit ramp â technically doable, but likely to wreck your vehicle if you try.Â
Say, for example, you were plotting a course between Tattooine (Outer Rim) and Alderaan (Core) . There are X number of stars and planets between your "entrance" and "exit". The nav computer's job is to plot the most efficient course around those large masses that occur between the two points, and the hyperspace engines do little more than open the entry and exit points into real space at either end. It accesses its most up-to-date astrometrics information available (likely through the holonet, and knowledge of well-maintained hyperspace routes) and plots its course accordingly. The time spent "in" hyperspace is the time it takes the computer to finish its calculations. For well-established routes, the computer doesnât even try to plot a new course â it just reads the âroad mapâ and follows that.Â
This is also why the non-inhabited planets of any given solar system in the GFFA tend to be ignored. Unless thereâs something in the outer solar system of interest (i.e. a metal-rich asteroid belt), nobodyâs going to be visiting Saturn when they can jump right to Earth. Hyperspace routes to outer planets are simply not established at all, and when plotting new routes takes so much comparable âworkâ (comparable to blazing a new trail instead of taking already-established highway), most people and computer systems simply donât bother.
This system, as imperfect and even counter-intuitive as it seems, does seem to be so much the norm in the majority of the GFFA that even people who perhaps should understand the value of blazing new trails (i.e. the Rebellion, smugglers) almost never even think to do so, never mind bother.  Â
In the Unknown Regions, however, there are so many objects going every which way that real-time astrometrics information is required, and nobody has apparently figured out a way to do this except for using the Force.
The Empire of the Hand's Hyperspace Beacons:
However, a clever use of communications technology could end the dependency of a relatively tiny portion of most species' populations.
Using an Imperial probe droid as a basis, the Empire of the Hand has developed a "hyperspace beacon".
A Viper probe droid, as seen in The Empire Strikes Back, the basis for the Empire of the Hand's hyperspace beacons.
Dropped in small clusters, in regular intervals in real-space, the beacons continuously scan real space around their locations, and communicate astrometrics to any ships that can pick up their signals, who are part of the beaconsâ network. The network is only usable by ships with nav computers or specially programmed astromech droids that can pick up the signal. To everyone else, the data looks like regular space background radiation (R2-D2 or other similarly âindependently-mindedâ astromechs might be able to pick up on it themselves, but such droids are a rarity). All ships on the network can use it to communicate with each other as well as the beacons, and the network can act as a safety tether to track shipsâ locations and to call for help in the event of emergencies.Â
A line of beacons could act like a "trail of breadcrumbs" or ârailroad tracksâ, and allow ships to safely and efficiently navigate through the Unknown Regions/The Chaos without reliance on a Force User, since all the beacons working together transmit real-time data. The beacons are dropped in clusters so that if one becomes damaged, the others in its group can cover for it until repairs are completed. If all the beacons in any given cluster are disabled, a star destroyer is dispatched to the nearest other beacon cluster on the âtrailâ, then uses jump-by-jump navigation to get to the beaconsâ last known location to investigate.Â
One of the primary purposes of the Empire of the Handâs Explorer program is to drop these beacon clusters as they go, using their own powerful sensors to plot "microjumps" through hyperspace (journeys of less than a light year) and creating trails of beacons as they, well, Explore.
To a lesser extent, Navy vessels also drop beacons, though they usually follow the paths the Explorers establish for them.
Also, because Explorers create these beacon trails, when they get in trouble, they can signal the nearest Star Destroyer for help, and by "following the breadcrumbs", the Star Destroyer can arrive at their location much faster than they would be able to otherwise.
Similarly, established âbeacon tracksâ, like that down âThrawnâs Cutâ between Watchtower Station, just outside the border with the Chiss Ascendency, and Nirauan, can make travel between these points far faster and more efficient than traditional hyperspace routes, since the nav computers need to spend far less time checking their routes, instead following the paths the beacons tell them to. Such âtracksâ connect all the major systems in the Empire of the Hand.Â
Hyperspace Beaconsâ Strategic Benefits:
Hyperspace beacons can also be used in the âknownâ regions of the Galaxy to give the Empire of the Hand a navigational (and thus strategic) advantage, letting them carve their own paths around and through known systems of interest, regardless of established hyperspace routes. Probe droids can be delivered by jump-by-jump scouts (often Explorer ships) to the outskirts of a solar system, which, as established earlier, are usually ignored. The droids are small and independent enough to travel well into a system on their own, then go into low power mode (which subsequently makes them extremely difficult to detect), to wait to activate their beacon signal, which Hand ships can use to jump into (and out of) a solar system well away from established hyperspace entry/exit points. Â
As was utilized in the Honoghr mission, where a probe droid was used to find the asteroid in the outer solar system, which would be sent on a collision course to the planet of the race that murdered Grand Admiral Thrawn
"Nightfall of the Final Day"
This technique, the âFaro Ambushâ, was first developed by Admiral Karyn Faro for use against enemies of the Hand and later saw extensive use in the Far Outsider War. It is very similar to the âThrawn Pincerâ technique, which uses interdiction ships, only it does not block off entry/exit to and from hyperspace. It is thus not used to trap enemy forces, but to just get the jump on them. It is not a technique that can be used on the fly â it requires planning. However it can be used to devastating effect against hit and run targets, allowing attacking ships and fighters to come in from a course not expected by the enemy.
Systems of interest within New Republic, Imperial Remnant and Chiss Ascendency space have had their solar systems âseededâ with probe droids on stand-by, so that the Hand Navy can jump in and help if needed.Â
Cultural Ramification of Hyperspace Beacons:
Unlike in âLesser Spaceâ, where star systems form economies and coalitions spanning  tens of thousands of cubic lightyears, often advertised as âGalacticâ in scope, the space-farring cultures of the Unknown Regions, or as its inhabitants aptly put it, âThe Chaosâ are usually a lot smaller in scope of area and influence. This is because in order to navigate the ever-changing hyperspace hazards safely, they are forced to rely on Force-capable navigators. Most cultures use the Pathfinders or similar navigational guilds, comprised of Force-Sensitive adults who choose to hire out their ability to navigate. Most only use their ability to communicate with the Force (Great Presence, Third Sight, etc.) strictly as navigators, with no training or interest in the further abilities demonstrated by the Jedi, Sith, and other Force-using groups of Lesser Space. However, there are notable downsides to the use of essentially mercenary navigators:
Rarity. Force users comprise of a tiny minority of any given population. Navigators are correspondingly rare, and thus can be quite expensive to hire, and may not be available on short notice.Â
Security. Despite most navigator guildsâ guarantees of client confidentiality, many cultures do NOT wish to use hired navigators for military or otherwise sensitive missions, preferring to use their own loyal people, who, because of the rarity of Force users, may not be available.
For the Chiss Ascendency especially, where the ability to sense hazards through âThird Sightâ is limited to only a tiny number of pre-pubescent female children, (known as âsky-walkersâ) this is a severe strategic weakness, and that is before addressing the ethical problems with the sky-walker program. The girls are taken from their families, with their memories erased, and used as child labour aboard Chiss Expansionary Defense Fleet ships, usually only being allowed to interact with their assigned caretakers, who are often far from nurturing. The Chiss are well aware of how terrible the program is, which is why it was kept secret from the general public, with only CEDF bridge officers, high-ranking members of the Syndicure, and the perpetrators of the program even aware of its existence (officially speaking, at least). There has only been one known instance of a sky-walker keeping her abilities past early mid-age, which suggests the children are overworked to the point of burn-out.Â
Despite âimprovementsâ said to be made to the system in recent years, the children are still often abused, isolated, and not given the time for a proper education nor for social development. It is still essentially child slave labour, completely against the âlight of civilisation in the Chaosâ that the Chiss Ascendency portrays itself as.  Â
As stated earlier, a huge advantage of the Hyperspace Beacon Network, especially in the Unknown Regions/the Chaos, is that it allows navigation through that chaotic third of the Galaxy without relying on Force Users, or any kind. The Empire of the Handâs ships, from Explorers to Navel vessels, down to civilian transports, do NOT have to hire expensive, liable navigators nor rely on literal child slaves.Â
During a diplomatic visit to the Chiss Ascendency, the Empire of the Handâs chief diplomat and Heir to the Empire, Princess Mitthâandorârandeth â Andorra â offered to outright give the Chiss Ascendency hyperspace beacon technology, saying, in a public forum, that by setting up their own beacon network (which does not even need to be connected to the Empire of the Handâs), they could finally eliminate the need for the sky-walker program. Princess Andorra claims had been unaware that the program was secret when she exposed it to the Ascendency publicly.Â
Princess Andorra, the Heir to the Empire of the Hand, daughter of Grand Admiral Thrawn and Empress Xelarra
The Ascendency declined at the time, but due to the political ramifications of Princess Andorraâs revelation, the Empire of the Hand is confident that they will eventually change their position.Â
In the meantime, the Empire of the Hand offers refugee status to any sky-walker, would-be sky-walker and their families or caretakers who manage to seek refuge with Empire of the Hand forces. Once on Nirauan or another long-standing Hand world, they are granted the same educational opportunities as any other child, and are given a special gift from the Empress herself, a comforting and low-maintenance pet ysalamir.

Felony saying that everyone in the universe can access the force if they tried hard enough makes me want to deck him in his fugly face
Heâs ruining all established canon in real time. Speed running the absolute destruction of continuity of the SW universe and people are still rooting for him and his blorbo self inserts like thereâs no tomorrow. Literally the whole reason I no longer engage in Ashoka content is because he massacred my girl and made her so one dimensional that my Mary Sue self insert fanfics OCs I wrote when I was 14 looks well developed compared to the absolute bland âgirlboss kick ass take namesâ personality Ashoka has right now.
There were so many opportunities for him to explore the absolute potential of angst and conflict within Ashoka in this new series, to give her character a believable story of grief loss and growth yet he threw it all away because he wanted his OC to be the specialist girl that ever lived. This series couldâve been used to explore Ashokas conflicting feelings regarding the Anakin that taught her and was a mentor to her whilst trying to connect it to the monster that killed her family and hunted her culture into almost extinction and tried to kill her, a person he confessed to love as a sister, on Malachor. It couldâve been a good send off to a great character, to have her face that the Skyguy she put on a pedestal in her mind was in actuality the worst sort of scum and have her try to come to terms that just because she can forgive him for being the genocidal maniac he was and still hold love in her heart for who he used to be and also understand why the Jedi, her family, wasnât the reason for their own downfall.
But alas. We got another series of âthe Jedi caused their own downfall!!! Anakin did nothing wrong ever and him killing all my family and everyone Iâve ever known is so not his fault!!! Itâs definitely the fault of the unbending stuck in the past council!!!â. Instead of a series that couldâve made Ashokaâs âdepartureâ (literally never going to happen with felony at the helm, heâs going to find a way to make her immortal and then show up 200 years in the future to be the protagonist of another light v dark fight since sheâs his special SI) from the series tie in nicely thematically and canonically with every other Star Wars media we have, he decided that the best way to have this series go down is 1) everyone is force sensitive if they tried hard enough ig and 2) the Jedi were bad!!! Their protocols donât work! They were mean to my little meow meow Anakin Skywalker the greatest Jedi of all timesâąïž therefore he got to kill them all!!!!
Got a bit off topic but Iâm still so mad that he had this chance to make Ashoka truly experience growth like the first 5 seasons of TCW yet he decided maintaining the badass rebel without a cause aesthetics for her was more important then good story telling.
Honestly though, my main problem with this series is that he decided that apparently everyone in the universe can be force sensitive if they âjust tried hard enoughâ. Like your Midichlorian Count no longer matters since even if you were Force-Null you can still be special!!!!
This takes away any and all urgency in the Jedi Fallen Order games. It makes Cals journey absolutely redundant. It throws away all the tragedy contained in having inquisitors being force sensitive kids kidnapped from their parents and tortured till they give into the dark side. If all beings are able to use the force in his universe then there are no consequences to the inquisitors not finding the Holocron that holds the names to all force sensitive children in the universe. There would be no need to them to chase Cal and the Mantis Crew throughout the universe to obtain what they have. They couldâve just went down to any random level in Coruscant and take homeless Force-Null kids and train them.
Even better! It makes the entirety of the KOTOR games redundant!!!! Oh and I guess the hidden path is also redundant since everyone can be force sensitive and no one truly needs more saving from the empire over others :/ totally not like these kids that were saved by the path wouldâve been taken and tortured into inquisitors, definitely not since EVERYONE is force sensitive nowadays or is it just the ones Ashoka trains herself because sheâs the âliving embodiment of the daughter uwu sheâs so special and unique look how well she can train a non force sensitive to be force sensitive!!!â
Everyone in the Star Wars universe has Midichlorianâs in their blood. That is a fact. It is also an established fact that the amount each person has is different and is not determined nor dependent on lineage. Force-Nulls typically range in the 1000-3000 count and you need 7000 to be force sensitive and higher to be accepted into the order. (The order isnât the end all be all of force cultures, Rouge One shows that Jedhaâs force culture isnât restricted to only force sensitives as the Guardianâs were never specified to be only a religious order of force sensitives. And high canon doesnât depict many other force cultures but we know that there are many force cultures in the universe that co-exist with the Jedi with which the Jedi werenât in opposition towards; literally not even the witches of Dathomir were oppositions anywhere outside of the battle fields.) You donât need to be force sensitive to be part of a force culture (Jedha literally has pilgrims who come far and wide to make a pilgrimage to the holy site and not all of them were force sensitive), Sabine couldâve very easily been taught the tenets of the Jedi without retconning her to be force sensitive or making everyone in the universe force sensitive.
No where in either the EU or High Canon did anyone ever say that you have to be force sensitive to be a badass or to make a difference. Hera did not hold the title of the best pilot in the universe just for some rat of a man to come and say that Anakin was the best because *muh force sensitivity!!!!* Some of the most heroic and most influential (good or bad) people in the franchise are Force-Null! And thatâs great! It means that the force doesnât make anyone better than anyone else! Itâs a quirk of the universe! To retcon that everyone can and is force sensitive if they tried hard enough is literally cheapening everything the franchise stands for. Andor did not literally give us an entire story about how Force-Nulls in the Galaxy makes just as much of a difference as force sensitives for felony to come out and say that âyou know what??? Midichlorianâs are a scam! You get a force sensitivity! You get a force sensitivity! Everyone gets a force sensitivity!!!!â
Sabine was great as she was in rebels, why cheapen it with âoh sheâs actually force sensitive all this time!!!â When we couldâve stuck with badass Force-Null Mandalorian can kick your ass five ways to Sunday with her paint bombs and blasters you force wielding asshole!!! Like why even do that felony. Do you want people to hate her??? Nvm ofc you do, you need Ashoka to be the best in every way possible even if it means ruining every other beloved character in this franchiseđ
#Star Wars salt#star wars#ashoka series#Ashoka Tano critical#anti anakin skywalker#anti Dave Filoni#fuck you felony I want to punch you in your rat face#Ashoka series critical#the Midichlorian count should mean something felony!!!!!#why are you making Ashoka a Mary sueđ literally give her a personality that isnât kickass take names please I beg#sw salt#I hate it here#jedi positive

I'm curious, do ppl hate Love Never Dies because they think Eristine is problematic and it's made canon in it, or is it due to something else? I havent watched it yet or anything but i like the vibes, lol
Heh... Love Never Dies has always been controversial at the very least? It came out at a time where Erik/Christine was still the most popular ship in the phandom - it still is, by the way. That didn't change despite a clear shift in fandom and ""problematic content"" around 2013, so a good 3 years after the musical came out. If anything, Raoul/Christine shippers have been a minority for most of the phandom's history, and both sides of the debate at some point more or less decided to agree to disagree (I mean, the homophobic slurs Raoul would get at times were starting to REALLY be in poor taste), except on the point that without the love triangle, there wouldn't be much of a story, and there are various ways of interpreting said love triangle. So, quite frankly, I don't understand why some people on either side are trying to restart discourse in the POTO fandom but I digress. And look, if you see people in the tags saying that Erik/Christine is problematic, they're probably new, and not really representative of the phandom at large. Anything having to do with Sierra Boggess is more controversial.
I really don't think the controversy stems from it making Erik and Christine bang and have a love child - I know there are some people who are against the idea of any kind of sequel, in fanfic form or otherwise, for a variety of reasons, but most of them were being responsible adults about it and didn't actively seek fanfic. As I mentioned before, a lot of folks were Erik/Christine shippers and thought that Christine was more into the Phantom than into Raoul, that's nothing new. But a lot of them also had issues with how LND dealt with it, for several reasons. It didn't come from an "anti" sentiment, it was very much them having issues with the material that was presented to them.
Raphael/phantoonsoftheopera (who is a long time fan of POTO) goes into more detail here and I think he sums up a lot of phans' thoughts back in 2010 when LND came out (whether they shipped the Phantom and Christine or not), and I think @musicalhell is another one who was also around at the time (feel free to pop in, and hope I'm not bothering you with the tag).
As for the rest, I wish I could defend ALW's choices here in the same way I'd defend Lana Wachowski for Matrix Resurrections - i.e. you're allowed to not like it but this is this creator's baby and they're allowed to do whatever they want with it, so let's all respect art for the sake of art here. But LND is very much a vanity project, as ALW has proven multiple times, that is mean-spirited to its core in various ways. For my fellow SW fans, it's the TROS to POTO'S TLJ. The cast and crew were treated in a really shitty way back in the original London production days, same with critics of the show, and there was even a case where a journalist and long time phan who provided a critical review of LND was demeaned in an article as some sort of sad housewife who was obsessed with POTO. Mind you, ALW has tried to make LND work FOR YEARS, with various productions and tours opening here and there, but it always underperforms. And mind you, the Eristine crowd is still hanging around, and POTO is doing extremely well whereever it goes to this day. If the Eristine content was good, the crowds would follow, "problématique" posts and tweets or not. They aren't there.

There's a fundamental disconnect between my view of Star Wars and that of, well.... the majority of the SW fandom these days. Whether this is due to lingering disdain for the Prequels (despite fandom claims of acceptance, there's still plenty of prequels-hate going around, it's just taken on a different guise) or the constant onslaught of Disneyâs big-budget fanfic muddying the waters, or a combination of both, I donât know.
But ultimately, it's quite simple. I view 'Star Wars' as the Skywalker saga...aka the six-film Lucas saga, which tells the story of Anakin Skywalker's rise, fall, and redemption. I don't personally see 'Star Wars' as some ongoing, open-ended franchise that can or even should have indefinite *canonical* additions to it. (An optional expanded universe is one thing, but additions that we, as fans, are just supposed to accept as canon without question because Disney says so is another thing entirely.) Because 'Star Wars' is not just some cinematic universe that exists for its own sake. The fact is, almost the entirety of the world-building from the Lucas-era was done in service of the story and characters of the Original Trilogy and the Prequels. The galaxy far, far away was created specifically to be the backdrop for the Skywalker saga.
So when people debate topics like âpro-Jediâ vs. âJedi criticalâ, Iâm often unable to relate to the angle that these discussions take because I feel like they are largely missing the point. Story-wise, the Jedi donât exist for their own sake, they (along with the Jedi vs. Sith struggle) are simply part of the mythic backstory of the saga. As a concept, the Jedi exist primarily to serve Anakin and Lukeâs respective journeys. So, the Jedi Order of the Prequels-era is written as having become rigid and flawed because that is the necessary context for Anakinâs fall to the Dark Side. And likewise, Luke bringing Anakin back to the Light through the power of love and familial bonds is what rectifies the Old Orderâs failings and thus restores the Jedi to the galaxy.
That's just... the story. As in, how it was told. So when I write meta about the Prequels and Original Trilogy, and how they work together as one story, my descriptions and interpretations of both the Jedi Order and the Jedi religion (these are related but not exactly the same thing) are simply neutral in my mind. I'm just talking about what the story is trying to convey. I can't relate to this idea that we must leap to the Jedi Order's defense, nor the converse, that we must condemn the Jedi eternally for having lost their way by the time of the Twilight of the Republic. Rather, I step outside of the story for a moment, and look from the outside in to try to see what is happening from that perspective.
I'm not sure that everyone in the fandom is willing or even able to do that.
Whether that is because very few people actually appreciate the Skywalker saga as Lucas told it to begin with (many people still loudly proclaim that 'Star Wars sucks!', which leads me to believe they must not value the core story at its heart), or they have been so confused by the Disney nonsense that they think the 'new canon' has automatically overridden any meaning that once existed in the PT x OT saga...again, I don't know. I have purposefully tried very hard to stay away from any Disney-related SW discussions for years now, so this is just all what I've gleaned from glimpses here and there.
But it seems to me that many SW fans have trouble accepting that the concept of the Jedi (and the Sith) are inextricably linked to the Skywalker saga and the Skywalker saga alone. These things would never have been created in the way they were without that story. But to acknowledge this would means fans have to accept how central Anakin is to the entire thing. All of it exists for Anakin's story. There are fans who don't like this for a slew of reasons, whether it be that they became attached to a certain idea of the Jedi based on how they were portrayed in Expanded Universe stories that came out during the interim between RotJ and the release of the Prequels (stories that were largely jossed by Lucas' canon), or because they hate Anakin for in-story reasons and have never been able to accept that Star Wars is about him whether they like it or not.
It certainly doesn't help that Disney has played into this discomfort by largely ignoring Anakin (at least, until fan-demand forced their hand) or even outright denying his importance to the story as Lucas told it. (Anakin is the Chosen One whether Disney or fans want him to be or not. Being the Chosen One is not about whether he 'deserves' it, it's literally just his role in the story. And Lucas' saga simply doesn't work without Anakin in the central role.) If fans are confused and disoriented these days, I can't entirely blame them. Disney's version of SW doesn't 'match' the Lucas saga and in many places outright contradicts it. But everything can easily be made clear if people step back (and put aside the Disney stuff for a moment) and just look at the actual story being told in the PT and OT. Likewise, any debates about the Jedi can easily be resolved in the same way. It's really not about how much fans like the Jedi as a group or as individual characters, or how much fans might wish they could be a Jedi themselves. It's about the role the Jedi play in the story, and it's about acknowledging whose story it really is.
