She smoothed the covers over Kakashi, turned off the main light and turned on the lamp on the bedside table, and finally walked to the door. But before she left, she threw another glance at the man sleeping on the bed. And then she was gone.

As soon as the click of the closed door reverberated in the night, indicating that Sakura had indeed left, Kakashi opened his eye and stared up at the ceiling, a smile curving at the corner of his lips. He had been awake even before Sakura brought him to his room.
