Just buy chickens. Genius from the Trump administration. 🙄
Besides the obvious problems with apartment dwellers and zoning laws for homes... it costs more money to raise chickens than to buy eggs.

The population of the UK, Canada, Australia and the European Union combined is roughly 585,000,000.
The population of the United States is roughly 371,000,000.
If you add the Russian population to the U.S. number, you get: 516,000,000.
That's not counting South America, China, Japan, Korea, Africa and the Middle East.
If the sides of Trump's tariff war on the world split the way I suspect they will, those nations allied against Trump have much more global buying and thus economic power than the United States and Russia.

What if his desire were granted?
Tumblr media
February 24, 2025
To the list of debilitating mental illnesses afflicting Donald Trump — malignant narcissism, paranoid delusions, depraved sociopathy — we must add yet another: boundless megalomania, i.e., Trump's belief that he is much more powerful than he really is. This is most clearly seen in his conviction that he has the unquestioned right to take possession of parts of sovereign nations (such as the Panama Canal and Gaza) or even whole countries (like Greenland).
However, the fantasy he repeats most often is the one about taking over Canada and turning it into a US state. Here he is last December lying as usual on his Truth Social app: "Many Canadians want Canada to become the 51st state. I think it is a great idea." Then, in January: "Together, what a great Nation it would be!!!" Then, during an interview at the Super Bowl: "I think Canada would be much better off being the 51st state because we lose $200 billion a year with Canada." And more lies only days before that:
We pay hundreds of Billions of Dollars to SUBSIDIZE Canada. Why? There is no reason. We don't need anything they have. Harsh but true! Therefore, Canada should become our Cherished 51st State.
But all of Canada's political leaders are solidly against this proposal — from Liberal former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau ("It's never going to happen.") to the ultra-right Conservative Pierre Poilievre ("Canada will never be the 51st state. Period.") And poll after poll show ordinary Canadians also overwhelmingly opposed. A recent Angus Reid analysis found that the percentage of those who said they want Canada to join the US was a meager 4%.
Americans aren't particularly keen on Trump's imperialist visions, either. A Marquette University survey found only 27% of US adults in favor of taking ownership of our northern neighbor.
Joining the US would hardly benefit Canadians. For starters, they'd be forced to give up their single-payer healthcare system that provides universal coverage on the basis of need. Instead, they'd have to suffer under our profit-driven system that yields worse health outcomes with much higher administrative costs.
Moreover, with a population of 40 million, Canada is simply too big to be just a single state — the country's already divided into ten separate provinces (and three territories). Canada's annexation would create at least 20 new US senators (and who knows how many representatives) from states whose voters hate Trump. Which would probably spell the end of the MAGA Party as we know it. Maybe our psychologically impaired president should be careful what he wishes for.

Fellow Americans. This man claims to be for you, the commonfolk, and claims those less fortunate than most of you are, in his own words, "the enemy from within". It is abundantly clear he is for ONLY himself and his own progress in this capitalistic society. This isn't about party allegiances anymore, it's about putting an end to the inherent insanity of these immensely rich idiots. There is indeed an enemy within our own nation, one dividing the people. The very folks who truly hold power - the rich.

They need to remove the "convicted felon" option from job applications, and anything else that requires you to say whether or not you have a criminal history. Because CLEARLY if we can have a convicted felon in the white house, then convicted felons everywhere should be allowed to get jobs, should be allowed to vote, etc.

Executive orders and stupid people should not go hand in hand but here we are again. Today I want to address 4 of the executive orders signed the other day.
1) the changing of the name of Mt. Denali back to McKinley, the executive order apparently actually states the president McKinley was from Alaska and that's why he changed it back. There are only a few things wrong with that, for starters President McKinley was born in New York and before he was president he was the governor and a Congressman from Ohio, in fact the whole joke of naming it Mt McKinley was because he NEVER went to Alaska even when he was campaigning for president. Secondly the fact that the State of Alaska immediately said they would not be changing it's designation in the state or their state maps regardless of the executive order and posted a poll after he didn't and over 90% of Alaskan citizens who voted agreed they would continue to call it Denali just made me smile. I think a lot of states are going to be blatantly ignoring that order because they legally can which brings me to point three. Thirdly he doesn't actually have the power to make that change on any large scale. The argument that Republicans and Senators from Ohio made years ago about the name change to Denali is actually valid here. They argued and the Supreme Court agreed that the Secretary of the Interior ONLY has authority under federal law to change geographic names broadly when the Board of Geographic Names does not act on a naming request within a "reasonable" period of time. The Republicans and politicians from Ohio lost the challenge though because the court thought that 40 years was a more than reasonable amount of time to make a ruling. So since there has never been an official request to change it back that has passed the Board of Geographic names the Secretary of the Interior does not in fact have the right to change the name of Denali back to Mckinley on anything except maps and correspondence used for official federal purposes. Other countries such as Canada, The UK, and much of Europe have also said they will continue to refer to it as Mt. Denali.
2) the Gulf of Mexico name change. Same thing as the third part of the Mt. Denali's name change, he doesn't have the authority to change it on anything except maps used for official federal purposes and correspondence and the rest of the world has already made it abundantly clear they will not be referring to it as the GOA anytime soon.
3) The end of Birth Right citizenship. This one is just plain unconstitutional. That's it. The 14th Amendment, ratified in 1868 after the Civil War, stipulates that "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof" are automatically citizens. A president cannot create an executive order that is blatantly unconstitutional. The only way to get rid of birthright citizenship at this point is by constitutional amendment because no arm of the federal government can pass a law that is unconstitutional. The only way they amend the constitution is by 2/3 vote in both chambers of Congress which they will never get. There are already 24 states and several cities filing lawsuits over this order because it is unconstitutional. It won't stand.
Finally my favorite. The executive order that states that everyone in the United States is a woman, and no that's not a joke. One of the executive orders that the orange idiot signed yesterday classifies everyone in America as a woman and shows a grave lack of understanding of science. The executive order titled "Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government is absolutely filled with poor wording and flawed science to the point that it actually declares all people in the U.S. are women. They were so determined to stick it to non-binary, intersex and trans people that they actually just stuck it to themselves. The executive order clearly states in section 2 parts D and E the following:
(d) “Female” means a person belonging, at conception, to the sex that produces the large reproductive cell.
(e) “Male” means a person belonging, at conception, to the sex that produces the small reproductive cell.
Here's the problem with that. Biologists world wide will tell you that all embryos are considered female at conception whether they are XX or XY because physiological gender expression is actually caused by the SRY gene. SRY's are attached to Y chromosomes. Because at conception the SRY regulators have not started functioning everyone is female and everyone is of the sex that produces the large reproductive cell. Now once SRY's start functioning depending on how well they function and if the SRY receptors are actually functional that may or may not change.
So by the very wording of Trump's executive order, since everyone is considered by biologists to be female at conception, everyone in the United States is female.

Trump is an absolute fool. He is going to rearm the whole globe, allowing any petty dictator that manages to gain power access to a newly beefed up military in their nation. Trump does not know history. Many of these countries would be happy to decline his offer and beef up their militaries. "Oh, you don't want to pay anymore, Mr. USA? That's so sad. Well, I guess we will have to build up our own military then. Bye-bye, now."

No points for originality.

Donald Trump never tires of telling us what a brainiac he is. “I’m intelligent. Some people would say I’m very, very, very intelligent,” he bragged to Fortune magazine in 2000. He also boasts that he creates all manner of unique phrases because, as he announced to a cheering crowd in late 2015, "I have the best words." But in keeping with his criminal tendencies, all his purportedly innovative constructions are actually stolen intellectual property.
For instance, in a 2017 interview with The Economist, he claimed he invented the phrase "priming the pump," modestly adding, “I came up with it a couple of days ago and I thought it was good.” For the record, the New York Times noted that this particular wording “was in wide use by 1933, when President Roosevelt fought the Great Depression with pump-priming stimulus.”
Then there was the notion of combining the words "fake" and "news." In an interview on the Trinity Broadcasting Network, Trump crowed that applying the word "fake" to the media is "one of the greatest of all terms I’ve come up with.” However, according to Merriam Webster, “Fake news appears to have begun seeing general use at the end of the 19th century.”
The expression "enemy of the people" isn't new, either. Others who have employed it include Josef Stalin, Maximilien Robespierre, Vladimir Lenin and Mao Zedong. Plus, Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen's play with that title gave it wide currency in 1882.
Trump's signature slogan, of course, is Make America Great Again. "I came up with it about a year ago, and I kept using it, and everybody’s now using it, they are all loving it,” he reportedly said in 2015. He even tried to trademark the phrase in 2012. But Ronald Reagan used Let’s Make America Great Again in his 1980 campaign and at that year's Republican National Convention. Trump later maintained that he never knew this.
Plus, that idea of building a border wall goes back to FDR and Harry Truman. And Bush 43 actually erected a barrier running 850 miles along the border in 2006. Still, Trump told the crowd at a New Hampshire rally, "Every time somebody says we want a wall, remember who said it first."
Finally, before it was a Trump catchphrase, "America First" was the rallying cry of the Nazi-approving isolationists who tried to keep the US out of World War II. However, there's one word Trump did not originate that means taking someone else's ideas and passing them off as your own. Hint: it rhymes with "shmagiarism."

This is absolutely stupid. According to Trump:
“The autism stat—and you hear different numbers, but it’s thousands. They say between 10 and 20 thousand,” Trump said Friday during a National Governors Association meeting at the White House. “If you go back 15 years ago, we had, like, nobody. It was one in 20,000. Now we have one in 34 … kids have autism.”
“The Pennsylvania Dutch, they don’t do anything and they’re amazingly healthy,” Trump said, offering the Pennsylvania ethnic group’s lifestyle as a potential model to avoid the disorder.
Autism isn’t rising or anything. It’s called better testing, better understanding, and better education/sources. And oh my god, the Pennsylvania Dutch (whatever that is), has autistic people too I’m willing to bet.
What does autism have to do with anything political?
God I hate him.

I think it needs to be said in light of VERY recent events that violence on the MAGA front is about to increase tenfold. They will see this as permission to carry out the violence they've been promising since day one. Don't fearmonger, just keep yourselves and your families wary. Please stay safe out there, americans.
