Strictly inexplicable
Sharon and I were backstage at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison Colorado last May 30 when the news flash chimed on our phones: Trump convicted on all 34 counts of falsifying business records.
We looked a little deeper to reassure ourselves that we hadn’t read it wrong - that it wasn’t a hoax. Word quickly spread. People around us began expressing various versions of, “Finally! - the comeuppance we had longed for, but never expected to see.”
On Thursday night, the night before Trump’s “sentencing” on those counts, my friend Richard phoned me fairly bristling with excitement:
“John … have you heard the great news …? Trump’s going to be sentenced tomorrow … he’ll be a convicted felon … they’re going to lock him up … who do you think will take over as president …?
After a sputtering attempt to explain what was more likely to happen Friday and why the convicted felon would remain in the White House, I changed the subject.
Let’s face it can't be explained.

"Stop the steal wheel!"
At Trump's sentencing, maybe Judge Merchan could have Vanna White spin a wheel to determine his sentence. It would have everything from probation up to 4 years without parole.

They won't go after the people who associated with Jeffrey Epstein for the same reason trump can be convicted for multiple felonies and not serve any time or pay any fines
People can demand justice and protest and vote all they want, as long as we continue existing under a bourgeoisie dictatorship, the rich will never face consequences no matter what they do

That is one bold move. Apparently, New York got the memo about not giving in to assumed threats.

Trump sentencing in Manhattan
On Friday, January 10th, Donald Trump was sentenced for his criminal conviction in Manhattan. He was given no punishment.
A conviction like this one would normally be eligible for up to 4 years in prison and several thousands of dollars in fines. Instead, Justice Juan Merchan issued an unconditional discharge, meaning the case is over without any punishment. This allows the conviction to stand and means that Trump will always be known as a felon. If a real punishment had been issued, Trump likely would have taken it up to the Supreme Court and had the whole thing turned over, avoiding the title of felon. Now the Supreme Court has very little grounds to turn over this case.

That's… yeah, that's an interesting thing to say when your candidate has been convicted of 34 felonies and faces sentencing in two weeks.

Trump’s Moving to Venezuela! by Art Smukler, MD, author and psychiatrist
Great news. Trump announced on X to Elon Musk that if he loses the election he’s moving to Venezuela.  That’s even more of an incentive to vote for Kamala!  Maybe Trump will hire some illegal aliens to teach him how to speak Spanish? Oh no. So sad. He’s due for sentencing in his 26 count hush money conviction in September. Not much time to learn Spanish, but I hear they have excellent classes…
