As promised I deliver to you an absolutely terrible Donald Trump x Joe Biden fanfiction with a Rocktre cameo specially for Cade ✨
Rockstar au, they make out but no fucking
Not beta read we die like Bitter
The sound of crowd cheers drowned out as they began playing the intro to another song. Donald took a moment to check on his bandmates, the lead and rhythm guitarists Rocky and Entre were currently too focused to notice his staring. Trump shot one envious look at their matching engagement rings before he turned to Joe that was playing a lazy bassline and gave him an anxious smile as they made eye contact. The two had a long history of childhood rivalry before making amends in the name of rock ‘n roll. He did not spare a glance to their poor drummer as after they had to kick out Matt for stealing they had to quickly find a temporary replacement.
Donald took a deep breath and right when he was about to sing he suddenly heard a loud bang and a whistling sound of a bullet. Something wet started dripping down his neck and a stinging pain came from his ear. Crowd went crazy, screaming, pushing at each other just to get away from the stage not caring to pick up anyone that fell over in the frenzy. Security poured in, shouting orders and dragging the frozen in shock musicians backstage.
The following moments were like a blur to Donald, being separated from his fellow musicians in order to be patched up, getting interrogated by law enforcement and learning that the shooter was some very angry fan of the opening band that drank way more than he could handle. Obviously the concert will go down in history of shitty shows, which oh well, any publicity is good publicity. Donald was dropped off at their shared band house by a police officer. He sighed, taking a moment to collect his thoughts before he opened the door with a trembling hand.
“Donald! You're back!”, Joe called out to him sitting on a couch in the living room with Rocky and Entre, clearly waiting for him, “You have no idea how worried we were, they just took you away and refused to tell us what's going on or where you were and god, the blood, are you okay?”
“Yeah, yeah I'm good I got shot and I'm good”, Donald waved him off and went straight for the liquor cabinet and grabbed a bottle of wine,“I'm going to my room, don't disturb me”.
Soon after he left Rocky and Entre went to their room, leaving Joe alone with his thoughts. He paced around the room, mind full of ‘what it' scenarios where the shooter had better aim. Trump was never his best friend but Joe would be lying if he said that the prospect of having to live without this annoying asshole didn't feel him with dread. He sighed feeling that he couldn't possibly spend this night alone.
It was only a measure of time before his legs carried him into Donald's room. There he found the always charismatic vocalist lying spread eagle on the bed, bottle of wine in hand, staring at the ceiling with an absent expression.
“Donald?”. The tan man jumped slightly and looked at him, “HUh- oh hi Joe, you startled me. You startled me and I'm wondering what are you doing here?”
Paler of the two scratched his head, avoiding the others gaze shyly, “Er, I just wanted to check up on you, you know, after everything”
Trump sat up and stared him down, “Like I said I'm fine, so unless you need something you can go”. Joe neither responded nor walked away. Donald just sighed, “okay, sit down, I can see you need to talk, what is it?”. Less mentally capable of the two sat down, taking the bottle of booze with a grateful nod. “ You see”-he started hesitantly-”This whole situation made me think about how fragile our lifes are and… Don't you ever feel like we're wasting our time? Yes we may be famous but what will it matter in the end. Everyone around us just wants to use us and I just feel so alone. And I didn't know who I can talk about it with, not like Rocky and Entre could understand me, they're basically glued at the hip.” He felt a reassuring hand on his shoulder, “I know exactly what you mean”, Donald murmured, “ When the shot was fired all I could think was ‘is this how I'm going to die? Surrounded by thousands of strangers that couldn't care less for me if not for my music?’. And when they took me away I was so scared because they would tell me if anyone else got hurt. If you were okay...” Trump covered his face with his hands. “Donald?” Joe grabbed his hand and squeezed it. Trump look him straight in the eyes, “ I don't want to live a lie anymore Joe. I've been hiding from the truth all this time but I can't do it anymore”.
“What do you mean-” Biden was suddenly cut off when he felt the other kiss him.He was too stunned to kiss back or even close his eyes.
Donald pulled away sharply, “Oh god, I'm so sorry, this was a mistake, please forget about it”. “No, wait! Does this mean you like me?” Joe looked at him with those puppy eyes that always drive him crazy. He touched his face tenderly, “I love you so bad it's stupid. I love you so bad I'd run away with you if you only asked”
Joe has never heard something like that but knew at that moment he wanted to spend the rest of his life with that stupid stuck up jerk, so he did the first thing that came to his mind and threw his arms around the other, embracing him while peppering kisses on his face. Donald pulled him onto his lap bringing him closer. Joe gasps and pulls him by his collar into a kiss that carries with it all the longing they had for each other all these years. He sucks on the others lower lip, asking to be let in, their tongues glide alongside each other in an intimate dance. Joe can vaguely taste the expensive wine on Donald's lips.
They separate for a moment and Donald flips them over on the bad so that he has Biden pinned under him. They cringe when they hear the forgotten wine bottle roll of the bed and break on a white carpet making the room look like it was visited by post season3 Hannigram murder husbands (miraculously survived the fall). “I never like that carpet anyway” Donald chuckles before he attacks Joe's neck, sucking little marks being careful to not do it right above his artery so he doesn't have a stroke and die right after they make out. Joe moans softly when Donald bites the skin covering his trapezius muscle. The younger one unbuttoned his shirt to admire his body underneath. Trump runs his hands over his chest, outlining every muscle. Joe felt the need to cover up, vulnerable under his stare, but he relaxed noticing the admiration in the corn looking man's eyes. Donald leaves small kisses on his abdomen and begins to unbuckle his too tight pants when, “Hey Blondie wanna play smash bros with-”, Rocky walks into the room announced and freezes seeing the situation he just interrupted, before smirking, “ENTRE THEY ARETHEYRE FINALLY TOGETHER I WON THE BET!!!!!!” He finger guns at the pair and turns around leaving them dumbfounded and cockblocked.

someone on Reddit was commenting about Biden, questioning why it took so long for him to drop out of the race, and why he even ran for a second term to begin with.
and, it's like, sometimes it's hard convincing Grandpa to put away the Car Keys. sometimes Grandpa has his license taken away by The State after having put foot down on the accelerator rather than the brake, launching the Camry through the storefront window of his Local T-Mobile.

FAKE HUSBANDS SAME AGE PADAWANS <3 <3 <3 PLEASE WRITE IT ALLLLL I LOVE THEM (Anakin: why would Obi-Wan Kenobi leave after realizing a truth that would leave him emotionally vulnerable/make him a 'bad' Jedi? Anyone who has met Obi-Wan Kenobi for 5 seconds ever: ... )
ok love the enthusiasm but also what if they're like.
very much not fake married.
like usually my anakins are the most obvious off the charts batshit insane part of the ship with their obi-wan's matching them in a quieter way but what if this time this obi-wan is just in love and petty and spiteful enough that he really does craft a whole mission where they have to pretend to be married so he can experience what it would be like f anakin loved him back....just for a little bit.....
but then when they're getting ready to leave he remembers that anakin told him that he and padmé got married under fake names so technically no one has married anakin skywalker yet......so obi-wan gets them actual rings and fudges the certificate to be their actual names, just makes another copy of their fake names or something lol
anakin will be like wait did you....REAL marry me??
and obi-wan, who very much thought he'd never have to have this conversation would be like well. maybe just a bit.

I don't know I just feel like....
We just watched a man self-immolate in his military uniform. And I don't want to sound like an idiot, because it's much more than this but, couldn't you say that was a very extreme form of conscientious objection?
He could not be complicit anymore, but there is literally no way out of being complicit in this genocide if you live in America. For him especially, being trapped in military service. But for all of us. All of us are trapped in complicity in some way, and we can try to counteract that sin with as much meaningful direct action as we can possibly do, but all of that action comes with some proportional level of risk.
So, a man burned himself alive in an extreme form of conscientious objection (the only form available to him - one of great violence)
And people are still on here telling people to suck it up and vote for Biden.
I just... maybe I'm really stupid and I just can't see the logic y'all are putting forward. Because the way you lay it out it all seems to make so much sense to you. I understand we're trapped in a two party system. I understand the Republicans don't have the same consciences we do and are gonna vote en masse for Trump. I understand Trump is a danger globally and domestically. I understand all that, and I don't want his second term to come to pass. I'm not ignorant of how dangerous he is.
But a man self-immolated to object to the system of complicity he's trapped in, and the most logical response y'all have to a bunch of people wanting to opt out of complicity in this election, and the next four years of horrors that will be done in their name is to tell them, you just have to suck it up and be complicit. Your only tool is to make a phone call. You can try to protest, but there's a non-zero chance you'll be beaten and arrested and have your life ruined, by the way. You can donate to try and put a bandaid on the horrors you're seeing through your phone screen everyday (and you should, but God it's sure not stopping anything). But you're not allowed to object to being complicit in the selection of the Genocider-In-Chief.
It's not going to stop the genocide. We know this. It's not going to stop the election. We know this. It's not going to change anything directly, and Trump is going to get elected (which he will either way. most people who would vote against him are doing it anyway, y'all are fighting a very very small online minority).
But a man self-immolated in his military uniform. He didn't think that act was going to directly stop aid from going to Israel, or stop the genocide, or destroy the US military industrial complex. He didn't think his one small (but extremely brave and impactful) act was going to solve everything. Everything that was going to happen is still going to happen just with one less man in uniform.
But it wasn't nothing. It didn't do nothing. It's not his fault that the military will keep on chugging. It's not his fault that things are getting worse in Gaza every day. But he's not complicit anymore and he sent a message. And he had to die to achieve that.
And y'all are telling us we can't even do the very small act of not being complicit in the presidency. It's a less effective act of protest, but I also don't have to die for it.
It's not a boycott (I've seen this strawman, i don't know why you think we think that). It's not going to "send a message to the government" (obviously, we're not ignorant). It's to the Party that runs these candidates, and makes money off of "pick us because we're not the other guy" then commits crimes against humanity. I don't want to roll over and be fucking complicit in that.
Parties and candidates look at those numbers. they see how many people voted for them last time and how many people this time.
They don't care about our voices, and our protests, and our emails. They care about donations, and they care about votes. That's it. That's all they look at. If the emails and the phone calls and the protests don't result in a drop in one of those two things, they don't fucking care.
I don't know. This is a long ass ramble, but I'm trying to work out my feelings about this. Because we can't opt out of paying taxes, we can't really opt out of the benefits of living and being born in the Global North, we can't opt out of work, we can't opt out of the military, we can't opt out of following the law without extreme violence being brought against us. We can't do a whole fucking lot besides call, email, donate, and protest in a way that doesn't get us beaten and arrested, and if you do get beaten and arrested, you'll be dealing with the legal consequences for years or potentially the rest of your life.
And a man burned himself to death to object but I can't withhold my vote???

So You're A USian Who Can't Bring Yourself To Vote Biden, Even Though Trump-Led Republicans Really Want To Kill You And Everyone You Love
You know what, fair.
I do understand where you're coming from, and I'm not going to argue with you about it. Sometimes there are lines we cannot cross even when there are no better choices, and "not supporting genocide" is a respectable hill to die on.
I personally am still taking the harm mitigation stance on the presidential election; Biden is starting to respond to pressure from protestors, slowly but surely, and I think we can work with that a lot more easily than we can work with Trump and the apocalyptic death cult supporting him.
That said, it was a genuinely difficult decision to make, and I'm still not sure it's the right one. I'm not going to judge you for going the other way.
What I am going to ask of you- what I am going to beg of you- is that you vote the rest of the ballot. Why?
1. It sends a stronger message.
If you don't vote at all, the easy assumption for pundits and politicians to make is that you didn't give a fuck, just like the many, many people who don't bother every year. The unfortunate reality of a two party system is lack of support for one side translates to support of the other side. A big Republican turnout and a small Democrat turnout sends the message that people as a whole like Republicans and want them to keep doing what they're doing. It pushes Dems right and emboldens the worst human beings on Earth to keep killing us.
But if a lot of people show up to vote, but don't vote for a president? In a presidential election? That's damn near unheard of. That sends a different, much more specific message: "Fuck these two bastards in particular". It tells the Democratic Party that there are people who are engaged in electoral politics (they don't give a fuck about people who aren't engaged in electoral politics), who will vote for Dems, but only if those Dems meet a minimum standard of human decency.
2. It keeps us alive long enough to fix things.
A president is not a king, and they only get away with acting like kings if the rest of the government lets them. Has way too much power been concentrated in the executive branch over time? Yeah. Does your average Democrat have a spine made of soggy cardboard? Yeah. But limits on executive power are still limits. The fact of the matter is that either Biden or Trump is going to be president, and if enough people refuse to vote for Biden, it's going to be Trump. We all remember how bad Trump was, and we know he and his followers want to make him dictator for life and murder all his detractors (read: us). We know Trump himself doesn't care about the conservative culture war, but he loves power and he's desperate for popularity, so he will give the evil Christofascist fuckers whatever they want in exchange for those two things. We know Trump enjoys hurting people for the sake of hurting them, because it makes him feel powerful and secure. Last time, a lot of damage was mitigated by the Supreme Court, but this time the Republicans have the court.
If we want to live through the next four years (and still hopefully have the right to vote at the end of them), we need to have Not-Republicans in control of the legislative branch. More importantly, because states generally have more power over their own governance than the federal government does, we need to keep Republicans out of the state and local governments as much as possible.
(There's also the issue that if progressives and radical leftists don't vote, but more centrists/people who actually like the Democratic Party and Biden as opposed to voting for damage control reasons do, the people who get voted in will be more conservative and less likely to actually hamper Republicans in any meaningful way. This is more of a primary issue, and the primaries are over, but it's still worth mentioning.)
And if Biden wins anyway? You still want Democrats in the legislative branch and in your state governments, because if Republicans are locked out of those places, it gives us the breathing room we need to demand better of our elected officials and removes the excuse that nothing will get done unless we're sufficiently "bipartisan". Democrats are easier to apply pressure to. Democrats of the wet cardboard spine variety are much easier to apply pressure to when they can't blame the scary Republicans for their own cowardice, apathy, or greed.
3. There are Democrats who will actually help us, but they need your votes to do so.
If you live in Michigan, you're especially lucky, because you get to vote for Representative Rashida Tlaib. Rep. Tlaib is a Palestinian-American woman who has been extremely vocal about her opposition to blind military support for Israel. She's also been vocal about issues such as immigrant rights, environmental justice, community supports for elderly and other vulnerable people, and healthcare, to name just a few. And she's not alone.
Again, pay special attention to state and local elections in your area. It's a lot easier to get genuine allies into smaller positions, and conversely it's a lot easier for The Worst People On Earth to get their own allies into these positions. This is partly because there's a smaller audience to appeal to, and partly because fewer people pay attention to the small elections. Do you want to protect trans kids? Vote for school board members. Do you want your city to be a sanctuary city? You need to pay attention to your mayor and your district representative. Find out who is, or is likely to be, on specific committees, such as agriculture or LGBTQ rights. These elections generally affect you and your community more than the presidential election does anyway.
4. The Glorious Revolution is not happening within the next seven months.
Electoral politics fix nothing by themselves. Voting is always going to be a method of shoring up defenses and disempowering the worst elements of our society. Ultimately, the US is not a good and noble country with some currently bad leaders; it's a colonialist, capitalist world power designed from the start and refined over time to give a few people a lot of power and wealth at the expense of everyone else, not just here, but everywhere in the world. It's important to recognize this. It's important to act in other ways to dismantle that power before it kills us all.
It is also important to recognize that you will not accomplish this before the next presidential election. You will not accomplish this very shortly after the next presidential election either.
Ideals are never as important as real human beings. Ideals are in fact useless if they do not serve real human beings. Your first priority, always, needs to be people. Do what you can to keep people alive. Do what you can to support them. When Republicans are in power, more people die. More people here die. More people in the rest of the world, including Palestine, Sudan, etc. die. That doesn't mean Democrats' hands are clean. It doesn't mean we shrug, flip the trolley switch, and move on with our lives as though nothing else could be done. It means we use every tool at our disposal to keep people alive, and we recognize that voting is one of those tools.
Smarter and better read people than me have said what I'm about to say much more eloquently, but sometimes it feels like The Revolution is like a leftist version of the Rapture; a single grand moment, long foretold, that will come all at once without warning and wash away all oppression and terror, leaving only peace and brotherhood when the smoke clears. People talk about it like it's something you only need to wait for and have faith in, and never forsake by engaging in ideologically impure action. I don't think that's how this works. I don't think that's how anything works, or ever has worked. Things change; change comes in one form or another, for better or for worse, as inevitably as the passage of time, and human history will not stop after some great, satisfying climax. Big dramatic changes always prove in the end to have been underpinned by many small ones, over long, long stretches of time. Tearing down a wall one brick at a time is still tearing down a wall.
Actions like the student protests are more important and more effective at building the kind of world we want to live in than voting, if you look at each by itself, but you don't have to. You don't have to choose between chip damage and a more meaningful confrontation. You can make the path just a little bit easier. That's what voting is.
In Conclusion
Back in the 2020 primaries, I joked that I would vote for a moldy ham sandwich if it ran against Trump. Then Biden got the nomination, and I said I didn't actually mean we should nominate a moldy ham sandwich.
Biden has done some very useful, important, and meaningful things, which I'm sure other people will be happy to tell you about in detail. He has also failed in some significant ways, and done some incredibly morally reprehensible things (as, to be clear, every single US president in history has); again, other people will be happy to tell you about that in detail. I know the breaking point for many of us has been seeing the horrors Israel is inflicting on Palestine, knowing our tax dollars are paying for that mass murder, and hearing Biden say that he does not care. I'm not going to defend that, because it's indefensible. I'm not going to make excuses for that, because there are none.
I'm just asking you to remember that the presidency is not the only thing at stake this year.
Please, help keep us a little bit safer. Keep Republicans out of your local and state government positions. Get people into the House and Senate who will, at worst, not make things significantly worse; if you can, get people who will stand up to Trumps and Bidens alike.
Don't throw our lives away.

And also indiana elected a republican shitbag governor. Literally none of the people I voted for president, senate, house, or governor are turning out. I'm going to be Fucked and Fucked and Fucked. But even then, I know I'm not among the most vulnerable of populations. If I keep my head down, I should be able to survive the next four years. But this has disastrous implications for the state of our democracy And our most vulnerable populations. People are going to die from this. It probably won't be me, but people are going to die from this.
I hope those leftist purists who couldn't bring themselves to vote for Harris are fucking happy. Pathetic.
