Darcy’s mom is Rachel Stirling. She is one of the women in The Bletchley Circle series. She is in an episode of Poirot as a mother who is hung for a murder she didn’t commit. She’s awesome and I did not recognize her at all until last night when I was wandering around the show’s IMDB page. She might be more famous for Tipping the Velvet, though, but I haven’t seen it.

Under no circumstances should a US American be elected pope, but it is very funny to imagine. American Pope should become shorthand in fiction for "this is not our timeline" the way that Female President is.
