the billionaires paying off the government to shape it to suit them will not voluntarily give up power, the working class must seize this power. trump does not stand for the average american but rather only serves to further divide the working class, by appealing overwhelmingly to folks that share his views of hatred and feeding them lies to make them believe their neighbor is the enemy instead of elon musk or jeff bezos. this distraction of in-fighting in the working class then diminishes the ability to organize and allows the mega-rich to do whatever they want behind the scenes. folks don't notice that these people are infringing on their rights because they're too concerned with harboring hate towards their immigrant neighbor or their liberal kids, who were never their enemy until trump told them so. it's all part of the plan to increase the divide between rich and poor and increase the power of the rich.
#working class#seize the means of production#eat the rich#america is being fed an illusion of separation to drive us apart until its real#the middle class is being separated and eroded down to widen the power gap between the rich and the poor#kamala wasnt gonna stop any of this either shes as much a part of the machine as trump#but trump cant even be bothered to try to conceal his interests in power above all else and using that power to only help his rich buddies#also the democratic party is crumbling as proven by their increasingly shady tactics every year#dems didnt even get a primary or a chance to pick their candidate...#kamala historically polled low like dems would not have chosen her if they ever even had the chance#no matter who won it was never going to be an actual election its all a farce and an illusion#no people had any real choice in which candidates made it to the election#it was purely here's your two choices#theyre exactly the same (capitalist imperialist etc) but different colors (red or blue)#i hate it here#t#trump is not for the average american#he is lying to you and tricking you to gain power#he wants you to fight with your neighbors and family so you have nothing left but an idol promising youre right and delivering nothing#trumps goal was to be as disagreeable and out there as possible so dems looks frantic and panicked and emotional#its LITERALLY all part of his plan#hes not gonna drain the swamp#hes gonna put rich out of touch people in positions of power and cut all funding to public support systems#if you voted for this i truly believe youve been tricked and youre stupid for letting that happen but also#its easier to trick someone than convince them they've been tricked so its an uphill battle once trump has already deceived the masses#literally fuck this people are so fucking dumb ive been trying to not insult people but this is truly what it comes down to#trumpers who say its all an illusion and we're being tricked but think trump is the solution rather than the puppetmaster himself is nuts#you're being fooled tricked bamboozled hijinksed#like i said i was not for kamala either shes still part of the machine but at least she didnt outwardly promise to dismantle rights...#lowkey wanna tag this trump 2024 just so trumpers actually see it like theyre the ones that need to know lmao

me, shaking people: the economy is more simple than economists make it out to be but it is still more complicated than you think, please stop thinking Trump will 'fix' prices. every proposal I've seen from his campaign will increase prices, with only the very slight possibility that gas might drop in response to Trump relaxing pressure on Russia and giving Putin the go-ahead to kill hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians. Even that's unlikely, because Biden had all oil production in the US pushed to max in order to combat rising gas prices after Russia and the Middle East started trying to do a price squeeze on the rest of the world.
Deportation of migrants will increase food costs.
Increased tariffs will increase the costs of goods that we primarily get from the targeted countries.
Removal of further FDA regulations will result in higher rates of infection of the masses, meaning more healthcare bills, and every time a recall happens, any money the producer saved with cutting corners will be lost to the recall, meaning your prices still go up.
Deregulation of corporate mergers will result in monopolies that, again, raise your prices.
Continuation of the 2017 tax cuts to the wealthy will continue to incentivize higher taxes on the lower and middle class, as the tariffs will not be enough to cover that hole in the budget, even with the proposed budget cuts to things like Social Security and the EPA.
Trump is not good for the economy, unless you happen to be Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, or Warren Buffet.

Average American commits 3 felonies a day 😂
Andy Biggs - a congressman from Arizona - claims that "the average american commits three felonies a day".
Who are these "Americans" he's referring to? That ain't me.
Looks like the "law and order party" has been completely taken over by the trump crime family and career criminals.

it sucks that the choice between the fascist telling people that haitian immigrants are eating their dogs and the woman who worked for the legal system in an effort to do good things is such a difficult choice. like wow there really is no lesser evil between the guy who said covid would just "disappear like a miracle" and the woman who thinks people should be able to have bodily autonomy and access to vital healthcare. it's so unfortunate that there is absolutely zero difference between the guy who said we would "never have to vote again" and the woman who wants to raise taxes on the ludicrously wealthy. what a shame that there's just absolutely no way to choose between the man who thinks disabled people should just die and the woman who wants kids to never go hungry and never get shot at school. and the choice between the guy's side-guy who wants woman to be nothing more than baby-making maids and the woman's side-guy who thinks period supplies should be easy to access? forget it, that's an impossible choice
what a truly terrible, terrible, election where neither party is acceptable in any way. voting just simply doesn't matter because they're both utterly abhorrent people with absolutely no differences at all
[reading comprehension disclaimer: this post is thoroughly sarcastic and intended to mock people who insist that voting is meaningless and that both parties and candidates are identical]

Absolutely baffles me that the libs out here are whining, crying, and shaming anyone who doesn't want to vote for EITHER genocidal freak. Their justification seems to be either "harm reduction" or "loyalty to the real America". I get it, many of you will be voting for the blue genocide because some of her policies will protect you and your interests, and yall take any opposition to your chosen corrupt political party as a personal attack on yourself and people like you. You're allowed to think and feel that way, but understand this: I, and a lot of other leftists and anti-genocide folks, are doing the same thing. My life is a small price to pay for the safety and lives of the collective majority. I would rather die at the hands of the fascist state, then vote for someone who may even make my life more comfortable, at the price of millions of deaths in the Global South. My loyalty is to MY people, to other Latin, brown, and indigenous peoples, then to the countries and peoples who are being brutalized by the West's imperialism (including within the imperial core, i.e. black Americans and any and all immigrants to the US regardless of origin), and primarily to my community, many if not most of which are immigrants. I will not be voting for someone who will make immigration harder and more deadly, I will not be voting for someone who will continue to support, aid in, and fund genocides in Palestine, Sudan, Congo, Syria, and other places around the world, and I will not vote for someone who supports the continued inflation of the US millitary industrial complex.
My family has been in the US since the 50s; my abuelos were undocumented pickers being paid CENTS on the bushel, and they had to bring my dad and his siblings to pick with them before school because they needed to make enough money to feed their kids, and more hands meant more bushels meant more food. My dad was an unpaid child laborer, a slave to US consumption if you would. My dad grew up during segregation, and as a Mexican in South Texas, was subject to the same segregation laws that affected black and indigenous people as well. I may have been born an American with all the privileges and comforts that brings, but before they were Americans, my family were indigenous, Mexican, immigrants, pickers, unpaid laborers, brown. I can trace lines of my family back to Otomí and Chichimec people, and from them, to time immemorial on this continent. Why the hell would I throw all that away to protect the interest and desires of the descendants of the people who colonized, segregated, enslaved, exploited, and deported members of my family? Fuck you and fuck that.

You guys remember when people on here from the US would just try to fucking gaslight people from other countries by saying shit like "Ive never in my entire life heard someone unironically say this is the greatest country on earth!!" and shit like that. "Everyone HATES it here and recognizes our country is evil to the core!" why are you lying to people online living in countries our government has staged coups in.

This is the actual poll from NBC breaking down voting results by race and sex. While over half of white women did vote Trump, they voted less than they did in 2020 and the second largest group that voted for him this time was Latino men. This isn't something you can point at white women and only white women and say, "THEY'RE the reason why." But then again the kind of people doing that will find another group to blame before the week is over. It's the third party voters, it's white women, it's middle America rednecks, it's Arab-Americans who refused to vote, it's performative activists that whined too much about Palestine, etc. Someone's got to have the smoking gun that led to him getting elected again.
And while not every white woman who voted Trump did so for this reason, consider how many men recently declared that their wives would vote however they wanted because they knew they could intimidate their wives.
Maybe the majority of Americans are first and foremost concerned with themselves and nobody else. Maybe Americans generally have a philosophy of "fuck you, got mine" and a desperate desire for convenience, and a lot of them were eager to believe anything Trump said because he was able to pander to their desires for the ever nebulous and changing economy to get better. Maybe he was able to stoke people's fears about illegal immigrants and trans bathroom bills and say that the current administration abandoned "real Americans", with all of the ugliness and prejudice that phrase implies.
Maybe being an even louder and even more aggressive defender of Israel and Zionism, refusing to call for any kind of ceasefire and calling anyone who protested terrorists helped bolster a largely Christian Zionist voter base. And maybe the Biden administration and democrats as a whole were too complacent for four years until they realized that Republicans have always been able to turn out in record numbers when pissed off enough, and aren't prone to the ideological splintering that Democrats are.
Maybe one reason white and Latino men in particular voted for him was because so many men are threatened by the level of autonomy and freedom women have achieved in America compared to any other point in the country's history (and maybe we should use this as a sign to keep fighting to protect each other)
And combining all of that with the fact that most Americans are still uncomfortable with the idea of a female president, especially a Black woman like Harris (I don't care WHAT people say--she could've been Mother Teresa with melanin and most of these people would have still voted for Trump or any opponent that was male) contributed to how he won by such a large margin

like. i feel like people do not grasp how much worse trump is because they see biden do shitty things like. okay so here are measures biden has not taken
he has not sent the military after protestors for gaza. police force isn’t great but that’s at a local level & he does not have control over your local police force. (this is why texas matters, abbot is taking aim at texan voting rights. my fellow texans, PLEASE lets vote blue)
he has not restricted us from sending aid to gaza
he has not deported current palestineans in the us & has not tightened restrictions on refugee visas
trump has promised to do all these things. i know biden is spineless, but unfortunately it WILL be worse under trump.

Finding out that people were googling "did Biden drop out" on election day and that progressive measures won despite Trump's victory and that people without college education voted mostly for the Republicans has been very cathartic because it has helped me realize that the problem with US politics is not that humans are fundamentally racist or misogynistic but that they are deeply and unfathomably stupid
