Best Underrated Shows

Saving Me 

Saving Me is about a lonely old guy who invents a time machine so he can go back to his child self and fix all his past mistakes. I learned about this show from this video titled Watch THIS instead of Hailey's On It by M!n!mal M!ss Art. Despite this video, I was still very excited to watch Hailey's On It. It seemed like a story with a cool premise and cute art style (and ultimately I do really like the show) But Hailey's On It wasn't gonna be out for weeks when I came across this video and this video really sold me on giving Saving Me a try. I never would have even heard of this show without that youtube video which would have been a real shame because Saving Me is fantastic! I hope this show reaches more people and I'm dying for a season 3!!!!!

House of Anubis

Mystery is my favorite genre and House of Anubis is chuck full of it. I used to be obsessed with this show back in high school. I had so much fun coming up with theories and live-blogging my thoughts and opinions about each new episode. Some of the acting & dialogue could be a little cringe sometimes but the story is just so good that it doesn't matter. I've heard that Het Huis Anubis (the Dutch version of the show that House of Anubis is based on) is even better, though I haven't gotten around to watching it yet.

Over the Garden Wall

Those of us who have seen Over the Garden Wall seem to agree that this show is amazing! Which makes it feel a little weird to call it underrated. But it seems like so few people have actually seen it. Maybe because it was a mini series, it couldn't reach the same level of popularity as other shows of similar quality. If you like Gravity Falls, you'll likely enjoy Over the Garden Wall as well. (Wirt is even voiced by the same guy who voiced Dipper!) I would highly recommend anyone that hasn't seen it already.

Dead End: Paranormal Park

I feel like it's pretty rare for animated series to exist in the horror genre for some reason. It truly is an untapped market. But if you love horror and animation, Dead End is the show for you! (Of course it's kid friendly horror since the target audience is children) The two main characters, Barney and Norma get jobs at a haunted park and work together to fight ghosts and demons. Dead End has a super cute animation style, in my opinion, and a very diverse set of characters. I encourage everyone to watch it!

Just Add Magic

Just Add Magic is based on a children's book by the same name. It's a show about three girls who love to cook and basically discover that they can use cooking to do magic. It's a pretty interesting take on how magic works in their universe. It's very fun to watch. All of the actors are also so talented! And one of those actors is Zach Callison (the voice of Steven Universe)!

The friendship between the trio is awe-inspiring! They have so much chemistry. It's a pretty fun watch.

The Last Kids On Earth

Based on a comic of the same name, this show is about a group of kids who have to survive on their own when a zombie apocalypse breaks out. And other various creatures start to threaten them (or even become their allies) It's basically a cute found family story. The premise is pretty simplistic but that's what I love about it. The animation style of The Last Kids On Earth is so beautiful as well!

I'm still waiting for a season 3!!!!!

Code Lyoko

I remember as a kid being aware of this show and thinking it looked kind of interesting (and I always loved the theme song!!) but I never ended up watching it back then because I let peer pressure get the better of me. I remember I met someone who brought up how much they loved the show. When I heard them express that interest, I was at first excited to ask them more but before I had the chance, everyone else started making fun of him for liking Code Lyoko.

I guess it was like the nerd show or something? I don't really know why it was considered cringe to like Code Lyoko but upon seeing my peers act this way, I decided I can't like Code Lyoko if I want to fit in. So, I avoided watching it. But earlier this year, when I was flipping through channels, they were showing old episodes of Code Lyoko! I was intrigued since I remembered it from childhood and thought I'd actually give it a chance this time. And it's actually a pretty good show! It can be slow at times but overall I enjoy it.

If you're like me and avoided watching this back then due to peer pressure, I highly recommend leaving that in the past and just letting yourself enjoy this show!!

Slugterra

Slugterra is honestly pretty similar to Pokemon, except it's slugs! And the entire series takes place underground. Basically, there's a whole underground world called Slugterra, home to slugs, trolls, moles, etc. And all the slugs have cool powers so the people collect & befriend slugs so they can use them as weapons ("slugslinging"). If you like Pokemon, you're sure to like Slugterra!

Detentionaire

I discovered Detentionaire randomly while I was searching through Amazon's library of cartoons. I was looking for a new show to watch and just stumbled upon this one. It looked pretty interesting and I was surprised to see it was a show from 2011. I don't know how I missed this show back then. Idk if maybe it only aired in Canada or something? (cuz it's a Canadian show) But anyways, Detentionaire is such an intriguing show where the main character, Lee, discovers some grand conspiracy and has to try to expose it to prove his innocence so he can get out of detention. It's such an interesting concept. And, as I mentioned earlier, mystery is my favor genre, so I had a lot of fun with this one.

The only problem though is, of course, it ends on a cliffhanger. The show got canceled before they had the chance to conclude the story in a satisfying way (or any type of way) so watch at your own risk.

I honestly don't even remember what this show was about but I do remember enjoying this show and being excited when I saw a new episode was out. I remember thinking it was so funny. I just don't think enough people know about this show.

Jason Grace but he's a son of Venus.

He's highly respected and feared at Camp Jupiter as it was the decendants of Venus (through her son Aeneas) who founded Rome.

He's a handsome boy with bright eyes and a voice that people can't help but listen too. Even without utilising the charmspeak, Jason is a very charasmatic diplomat.

Though he's also one of Camp Jupiter's strongest fighters, reminding everyone of his mothers own links to war.

Jason longs to find someone who truly loves him. But he's put on a pedestal, admired and loved from afar based only on his looks and skills.

After learning his love with Piper (who's not a child of Aphrodite in this!) Jason wonders if the only way someone can love him is if it's fake.

Jason doesn't understand why the Aphrodite campers are seen as weak or treated like empty headed barbie dolls.

He stands up for them, even challenging others at Camp Half Blood to show just how strong they are (Clarisse definitely backs him up on that.)

Jason didn't blame his siblings though because he knows what it's like to put on a facade, play into stereotypes so people leave you alone.

Gets a makeover from his siblings and has so much fun with it. Encourages them to show what they're capable, not for anyone else though but to show yourself what you can do.

Realises who in the seven loves who and smiles when they find love. If Jason can't he hopes they others can.

Drew shook her head brushing Jason's hair "that's ridiculous Jay, how could anyone not want you?"

Jason smiles sadly "oh they do, but not for me. Just for my status, though I don't have to worry about that now I'm a full blown traitor."

Drew frowns "don't do that you'll get wrinkles" teases Jason getting flicked in the forehead. His sister rolls her eyes but smiles at him "prick. You'll find someone, I know you will and I am never wrong."

Jason doesn't believe her but nods anyway. "And if they hurt you, you'll have all of us to kick their ass and hide the body." Says Mitchell, sitting nearby.

"Damn right" agrees Drew. Jason smiles, glad to have such a great family.

hey magic the gatheringers, ive been rebuilding my favorite edh decks and hyperfixating on them lately so i just wanted to make a pretty lil post about them offering them to anyone who wants to play em :) these are my favorite decks right now and ive just run through and adjusted the decklists of all of them in the last couple days so they're fresh and ready to perform <3

the first deck is Rocco Cast From Exile!

the third rework of this decklist with the new cards from CLU really cemented that this is my favorite deck i've ever made. Rocco, Street Chef plays kingpin to a unique Naya value pile built around playing cards from exile!

this deck is similar to Prosper, who is unfortunately the face of Cast From Exile-- but unlike Prosper, this commander and the other options for CFE payoffs you get in Naya are super interesting and cool :) you get [[Feldorn]], [[Pia Nalaar]], [[Quintorius Kand]], as well as fun cheapening effects like [[Liara Portyr]] and [[Tlincalli Hunter]] on top of the delightful cascade effects green gets!

you also get to play around with +1/+1 counters (Rocco might be the best commander of all time at like... putting +1/+1s on specific individual creatures honestly??) and the magic that is food tokens (which are getting stronger and stronger each passing set). furthermore, Rocco impulse draws for your opponents, which means you get to encourage them to make tough decisions! do they play their combo piece from exile, feeding your deck? (Rocco is so efficient that they will soon learn that the answer to that question is almost always no... but you can always pretend that you're playing group hug and giving them free cards until they figure that out!)

this deck gets a lot of mana and builds up a monstrous board state very quickly. as far as individual value pieces go, be on the lookout for [[Jaheria, Friend of the Forest]], [[Inspiring Statuary]], and [[Night of the Sweets' Revenge]] for ways to make an unreal amount of mana. [[Herd Baloth]] and [[Faldorn]] will get you tokens for every card played from exile, and i would say are the main things giving you a monstrous board. don't sleep on the cascaders and thieves either-- every extra card obtained from things like [[Bloodbraid Elf]] or the Etalis net you another Cast From Exile trigger!

Naya Cast From Exile is weird and awesome and I highly recommend playing and building in this design space :) there's a lot of Naya CFE cards that work but I cut from the deck, and they give us more cards and commanders for the archetype all the time. this is definitely my favorite deck i've ever made <3

the second deck i'd like to show off is my Oloro Control decklist!

i've always been the interaction player at the table. you might find that these decklists are a bit heavy on the interaction for you actually-- i truly believe disruption is like. so important. especially when you're playing for value rather than combos like i do ^_^

so here is my dedicated Esper Control decklist! Oloro is there to keep you topped off and to draw you cards-- by playing this deck it really does net you anywhere from 10-40 extra life in a given game in my experience just by playing him. and the card draw on Oloro is pretty insane, enabling you to find the necessary ramp and bombs to end the game after you've disrupted every combo at the table :) personally i don't like Oloro the character very much at all-- don't know why, but he's a little difficult for me to look at. i personally have a custom proxy that replaces Oloro with Grusha :3

this Control deck is all about gaining slow and steady value while ensuring the bad things aren't sent your way. there are some stax pieces here, but not very strict ones-- your goal is to remain innocuous while you get the mana and cards to play your bombs and your opponents hopefully go at each other. the bombs in question are things like [[Debt to the Deathless]], [[Expropriate]], [[Torment of Hailfire]], planeswalkers like [[Sorin Markov]], and creatures that amass you value quickly like [[Drogskol Reaver]] and [[Sunscorch Regent]]. you gain life, shut down your opponents, and force unwinnable situations or knock out opponents with big bombs. it's fun!

the third deck is Vadrok Inevitable Betrayal Combo!

Vadrok here is the final fruit of my obsession with the 0 cmc suspend cards I went through a few months back. after toying with pretty much ever one in turn, Vadrok is the one that stuck around because he plays so interestingly and truly warps your table's metagame if you bring him out enough times.

let's get into the weeds: the combo here is a pretty simple one-- Vadrok is one of (and the only legendary) engine that allows you to play cards from your graveyard without exiling them after, done by mutating. [[Inevitable Betrayal]] is a 0 mana cost blue spell that takes a creature from an opponent's deck and puts it onto the battlefield under your control. The combo, then, is a gradual one: use a spell to discard Inevitable Betrayal, and mutate onto Vadrok. each mutate plays Inevitable Betrayal for free, allowing you to cheat out an opponent's creature each time. this is strong.

the deck features a suite of tutors, a variety of ways to discard cards, and every mutate card in Jeskai (except the one whose mutate cost is six mana :P). the combo is surprisingly low to the ground and quick, allowing for turn one/two discards and turn three Vadrok mutates at times. however, it's often worth waiting to mutate Vadrok onto a creature with Hexproof to ensure little interruption as you swarm the board with your opponents' best hits.

this deck, of course, relies heavily on your opponents' decks then. which is why this deck is so metagame-warping-- even at more casual tables, you'll probably see your friends take their funny eldrazi and craterhoofs out of their decks because you're so prone to winning with them. personally, i find that delightful! i tend to cycle deck usage anyway, so it's cute to steal a bunch of things for a couple weeks, have my opponents edit their decklists to remove my hits, lose interest in the deck, and come back a couple months later and steal the good hits in their new decks, repeat :) its fun having a deck that warps metagames with its presence alone.

the final deck id like to talk about is my Silvar and Trynn Humans decklist!

mardu is delightful and for the longest time i couldn't find a mardu commander i ever wanted to build! finally though, i stumbled across these two :) the art on them is so gorgeous! i love ikoria.

this deck is very fun! the only typal deck on the list, humans is a very fun type to build around and you get access to so many bangers in mardu. this deck is all about building a board of as many humans as you possibly can, then sacking them all to put 17 +1/+1 counters on Silvar and start swinging for commander lethal. how that is done is different every game, with so many fun human pieces and interaction pieces that each game feels very distinctly different from the last more so than any of the other decks discussed on this post. furthermore, mardu offers my favorite interaction suite of all time, so it's always a pleasure to play with.

(Also note; sometimes I forget stuff, so I may add some extra information. Though small details, its still thing I would wish to mention..)

Generation one coding:

- Though during the process of becoming a phone, the memory is wiped. However, not fully. If one were to act quick enough after one DID act quick enough, there is a small chance that they COULD regain some memories (Like what happened to Harry.)However, the longer you wait; the less use it is to try and regain their 'old personality' back.

- Most Generation one phoney's don't see themselves as real people. They see themselves as managers, even as going far as to say; they think they are Scott. While they may have it in their coding. Some will take it too far, while others may be calmer about it.

-With that, a follow up would be; Due to their faulty coding (due to the fact that they were 'rushed' into production. They are seen as strict, uncaring or cold by Employees and others.

Due to their reputation, most see them as 'Robotic.'

Some don't see them as real people, after all while they can express their emotions, they try not to show it much.

-With that in mind, they are rather protective of their said restaurant. Just like how he was in dayshift one. Willing to do anything and everything to make sure he doesn't get closed down. Even if it means throw people under the bus. after all! Sweep it under the rug , It’s probably fine!

As for the timeline, I am still working on it, but the biggest change is Steven survived dsaf1 due to Jack/Dave actually going to jail.

Alternative Timeline

So as of yesterday I have been on Tumblr for a YEAR! A WHOLE YEAR being a part of this beautiful wonderful incredible community that we have all built. And it has changed my entire life. I’ve made friends who I hope will be in my life long after we’ve forgotten about these characters and this universe (will we ever though…?). I have crafted and written and collaborated. I have participated in a zine and cobbled together a couple of drabbles. I’ve had so much fun being your unofficial Keeper of the Shameless Timeline, trying to make some kind of sense of season 1 and, more recently, working alongside some of my favourite artists and people to build a whole ass calendar! It’s been the most wonderful year and I’m looking forward to the next! I’m not done doin this thing yet! 

Also, I know I haven’t been active these last couple of months, but I’ve noticed that there are a bunch of new people around these parts. I just wanted to say HI! HELLO! WELCOME!! I’m so glad you’re here! I see you all liking the things people are making and I know everyone appreciates the like, but I’m just gonna ask you to also hit that rb button! People are out here making things! For you! To enjoy! For free! Art and gif sets and fic! They take so much time, and it's so easy to show your appreciation! Just a couple of buttons! Ok I’ll shut up now. Let’s talk timeline!

I have tried my best to follow the logic, though sometimes there is none, and follow the clues, no matter how few! And I have tried to do it with as little bias as possible.

HOWEVER!

You guys, I have a confession to make.

There is a possible other timeline that season one could follow.

I do not like it! But, I am here to give you, my precious timeline enthusiasts, the truth! Even if it hurts me. Even if it makes no sense (because it often doesn’t. JW doesn’t believe in time). Even if it takes away the possibility of a Christmas bang and a New Year’s bang, which, truly, would be a tragedy and is the main reason I refuse to follow this other timeline.

Under the cut you will find the second possible timeline. You decide which you prefer, and tell me why! I need well-formed arguments for or against please!

Alternative Timeline

Episode 1: Remains the same at November 15, 2010. There is a calendar. Fiona points at it. No disputes here!

Episode 2: This is where it all could change. Bear with me. There is a possibility that this episode might have taken place on January 28, 2011, over two months after the first episode. Here’s why: Frank gets his cheque the last Friday of the month. In both November and December, the last Friday is a holiday, so this acts with the assumption that this is now January and it’s been 2 months since the first episode. I don’t love this idea because nowhere else in this season do they make such a massive time jump.  A few weeks, maybe, but not two months. This also then changes the entire timeline. No Christmas/New Year’s bang, either. What do you guys think?

Episode 3: As this episode starts the Thursday following the previous episode when Tony Takes Fiona to his award ceremony, it leaves Tony’s deflowering to have taken place on February 4.

Episode 4: If I follow the logic of my original calendar which has episode 4 on the same weekend as episode 3, then this means this episode alternatively takes place on February 6th. This actually works quite well with an upcoming event in episode 6. 

Episode 5: I worked a little backwards here. I had to place episode 6 on February 16th, so the only date episode 5 could take place was February 12th-13th, meaning Kev and Vee got married on February 13th in this alternate timeline.

Episode 6: At the beginning of this episode, Carl hands Fiona a note from last Friday and it is now Wednesday. I initially made the assumption that it is Wednesday Dec 15th, however, in this alternative timeline, I’m placing this episode on February 16th. And there is evidence of this date. If you zoom in quite a bit, it’s got a date on it, February 11, 2011, the Friday before February 16th.  But I hate this timeline because it just doesn’t make sense! There is a calendar change in episode 8, two episodes from now! It goes from December to January in that episode. I can get that the calendar is unreliable, but if they’re gonna change it, why change it to the wrong month?? No. I refuse. But anyway. There is evidence.

This now leaves us three weeks to squeeze in the Bangiversary, Slim Jims, and two episodes of Monica before we get to the last two episodes, which we know for a fact take place on March 18-20th, same as the original timeline. Here is the only way this would work:

Episode 7:  Episode 7 would be on February 18th-19th, making Ian and Mickey’s Bangiversary February 19th, getting rid of the possibility of a Christmas and New Year’s bang. Also, speeding up their entire first bit of their young relationship. We just went from a possible two months of secret fucking before Mickey was arrested to a mere two weeks? No! I don’t like it!!

Episode 8: This puts SlimJims and Milkovich-Ian Sandwich on February 25th-27th.

Episode 9: Frank would call Monica on March 5th and, she’d would show up around March 6th. That same night, Mickey is arrested. 

Episode 10: On March 7th, Ian finds out he’s not Frank’s son and Monica abandons her children again.

Episodes 11 & 12: Remain the same. We know they take place on the Friday-Sunday after St. Patrick’s day.

I will admit, there is an elegance to the end here with the Karen storyline. In the original timeline, if she goes to the ball with her dad on February 21st, and then goes emo child on March 18th, about three weeks later. That doesn’t really fit, either. However, I could be convinced to move the entire Monica saga down so that it all happens in March instead of February. This could work actually. (Yes you are reading me figuring this out in real time, folks!)

WAIT!!! WHAT IF we have an alternative-alternative timeline?? And it looks like this:

We ignore the weird Carl teacher’s note thing from episode 6, and we keep episodes 1-8 the same as is in the original timeline, giving us the very, very important Christmas and New Year’s bang as well as more than two weeks of secret fucking, while episodes 9-12 look more like this second timeline, making the Karen storyline make more sense. Oh I think I like this!

Figured it'd be nice to chat about it a bit since this'll probably be the last S2 ep we'll get for the year, so lets get into it~

Quick spoiler warning below for those who haven't seen the Mammon ep yet-

Alriiiighty, to start things off lets talk about the Pros of this ep!~ :>

-Bless. 👏My. 👏Guy. 👏Fizz. He was SUCH a gem to watch, here!~ 🥺Everything from his strong passion for being the best performer possible, his anxieties about fitting up to his idol Mammon's vision (in spite of all his exploitative treatment of Fizzarolli), and him eventually finding the courage to stand up to his crooked boss to quit on a high note (aka: his "F*** You") song… aaaaa, just chef kiss Loved it~

-Ozzie's back to being the best smooth talking-yet-loving bf to help out Fizzarolli, which is also a big treat to see!~❤️ You can just feel how much he truly loves and thinks highly of Fizz, trying to encourage that he's the best just how he is… and that he doesn't need a prick like Mammon to "improve" his act 🥰. Honestly, would SO be down to just see more of Fizzmodeus' wholesome lovin' over the Sto*litz melodrama we've got now… for real lol >3> 👌👌

-Speaking of which, Blitz was fun to see pop up in more of a supportive role to Fizz's story, standing by as his "security" while trying to remind Fizz of what's really important over kissing up to Mammon's crowd. I even liked that tidbit from Ozzie that Blitz is just a "kind-of friend" rn, showing that he and Fizz are actually taking time to rebuild their bond instead of everything being fully-swept under the rug… which imo is refreshing to see, all things considered 👍👍

-As far as Mammon himself goes… well I mean, what you see is what you get when it comes to him lol 🤷 . A crude, money-grubbing showboat who's all about making a profit… which def fits the vibe to him being the embodiment of Greed imo .3. Glad he got his comeuppance and whether he comes back or not in the future, lets just hope Fizz will keep to standing his ground against this walking moneybag 🤞🤞

-Those Klown sisters "Glitz & Glam" were a fun lil duo themselves, catty but committed to their roles as stage performers 🤩(and ngl, their song "Klown B***h" was pretty catchy too~). Didn't even try to cheat/sabotage Fizz's acts despite all their attitude with him earlier, so good on ya girls~ 👍

-That moment of Fizz bonding with his fan over sign language was super sweet, really showing at the core what a caring idol Fizz is to wanna make his audience happy~ 😊😊

Now, as far as any Cons regarding the episode… hmmmm:

-While I get what they were trying to go for with Mammon's aesthetic (lowkey being a walking Christmas tree, aka: commercialism lol)… ehhhhh, I feel like something's a bit "missing" in him fully feeling like a Greed sin imo .x. Idk if it might be his head giving the "same-face syndrome" vibe as some other HB guys, or his whole "true form" basically just having some extra eyes/spider legs for some reason… buuuut eh, just not really feeling it from an artistic standpoint 🤷.

-Ngl, am I the only one who felt kinda bad for the Klown twins' predicament by the end? ^^; Like, yeah they were pretty bitchy to Fizz earlier but I mean… it lowkey-wasn't too different to Blitz' asshole attitude to everyone else (which is usually played off as a good thing/joke by the narrative) so like… did they really deserve getting slammed by that giant rock thing at the end? Heck even just a quick heads up from Fizz letting Glitz & Glam know what an exploitative prick Mammon actually is (at least more with the whole "make a s*x doll out of your image" thing... *shudders* >>; ) could've sufficed fine… esp since the girls themselves could've easily fit in better to like, Verosika's crew or something with their popstar-vibe. But again, that miiiiight just be me… .3.

-That one stalkerish fanboy of Fizz was a real creep indeed… which I guess also played well to his established role (though at least Mammon had some entertaining presence to him, in-comparison >>). Glad Blitz at least offed the guy off quickly to give his bud some breathing room👍 . The less we gotta deal with incels like that, the better -x-;

Aaaand yeah, that basically about covers my thoughts on the Mammon ep! :thumbsup: Didn't expect it to release so soon as it did, but I say it did a splendid job as the mid-season finale(?) for S2! ^^ Lot of heart, lot of laughs, lot of splendor and polish to entertain a viewer… hope to see more of this improved writing for the rest of the season to follow!

Post-Jangle Ball Ramblings

I saw JB in Philly last night and it left me genuinely speechless. It was my first time ever seeing them live after ten years of obsessing over their content from afar, and it was everything I could have asked for or dreamed of. I HIGHLY encourage anyone who’s on the fence to get tickets. You won’t regret it.

Starkid means so much to me. I cannot begin to list all the ways they’ve helped me and changed me, and last night represented the fulfillment of a dream I’ve had since I was nine years old. I won’t get too corny here, mostly because nothing I could say would do justice to how much I love these artists and this community, but I wanted to say – thank you to everyone who made the past ten years of being a Starkid fan so special.

Bear with me here, because I have a lot of Feelings. Be aware this post does contain spoilers for Jangle Ball. Without further ado, my thoughts:

We been knew, but everyone is SO talented and seeing them perform was a magical, life-changing, incredible, unforgettable experience.

Also everyone looked ridiculously good and I am not ok. The variation in outfits was hilarious though. I’m not sure what they were told to wear, but it ranged from Lauren in a very sexy sheer top to Jamie in a festive red dress to Dylan just chilling in flannel. None of them looked like they were going to the same event and I loved it.

Janaya’s Stutter was iconic and I want to listen to it on repeat. Lauren’s background dancing was equally amazing despite the fact it induced a severe state of gay panic.

I wish we got more Show Stopping Number from Joey and James. I wasn’t sure anyone other than R*bert would be able to pull off that song and I’ve never been happier to be wrong. I actually think either of them would make a great Hidgens if Nick doesn’t want to take on the role.

Dylan blew me away. I knew he talented but tbh he completely stole the show in the first act with the Twisted numbers. Not only does he have an incredible voice, but his stage presence is ridiculous (and I made eye contact with him briefly. My life is complete. Now I can finally lay down and die.)

I loved the Status Quo parody and I was so glad to see JOEY perform it again (no shade to Alex and Mariah but they just can’t compare to the OG). I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – if they pulled a Taylor Swift and re-recorded all their old cast albums I would literally give them all my money. I love the old songs and it was so special to see them performed.

Queen B…I think I briefly blacked out. I honestly don’t listen to that song much because I’m not really one for rap, but I might start now. Lauren killed it. My favorite thing about her as a performer is how versatile she is. Not every one can pull off a number like that, but she did it effortlessly. I was equal parts terrified and aroused, which is exactly what that song should do. Shout out to Brian and James dancing backup. The dancing in this show truly blew me away. I was not expecting that many choreographed numbers given how little they rehearsed, and I’m so glad (and impressed) that they managed to do it. It just brought the energy up and was so fun to watch.

A lil nitpick: I get that Cup of Roasted Coffee, Stutter, Show Stopping Number, and the Wiggly Jingle are technically villain songs but they don’t really give that energy? And Deck the Halls, We Got Work to Do, Climate Change, and Status Quo are straight up not villain songs. I liked the whole “ the villain is capitalism” angle but tbh when I heard they were performing villain songs I was expecting like…Wagon on Fire. Rogues Medley. Kick It Up a Notch. The classic Starkid villain songs, you know? I LOVED the set list as it was and I wouldn’t trade it for anything but I think there was a tiny flaw in marketing. And now I’ll get off my soapbox.

I try to keep my Richpez shipping off this blog but holy shit, I need to freak out for a minute. In person or through a screen, their love, pride, affection for each other is palpable. They way Lauren looks at Joey while he’s performing, the casual touches, the way he kept trying to make her break on stage…it brought tears to my eyes. And that’s not even touching on Priceless. Seeing them dancing together and holding each other like that in front of hundreds of people broke me. I’m so happy for them, not only that they have each other but also that they feel comfortable sharing it with us. The same goes for Breredith (the kiss in Final Ghost was both completely unnecessary and a fantastic addition)

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the band. The music was on point. I don’t know if they wrote new arrangements for the tour, but I did notice it was very “beat-heavy” (is that a thing??) which made it very fun and easy to dance along – perfect for a concert. Also, AJ’s number was fucking incredible and I’m so glad I got to see him sing. It literally gave me AVPSY flashbacks. He’s only gotten more talented since then. I wish we could see him in more Starkid shows. Lastly, I will never stop thanking Clark for writing VHSCC. It’s a energetic, touching, unique take on a familiar story and by far my favorite adaptation of CC. I want him to write more music for Starkid shows.

Either he gets flustered, compliments the flirting attempt, or flirts back (In Armin font this is just complimenting me really hard and trying to get me to laugh/smile, he's really charming 😭😭) hugs — are you and f/o affectionate / open about your relationship in public? A normal amount I'd say! We hold hands, cheek kisses here and there, sometimes I just need a hug no matter where I am so that might happen. We refrain from anything deemed socially/publicly too intense. Plus we'd rather save that for home/in private! love letters — are they good at expressing how they feel? what’s their best way of letting you know they love you? Armin over the years has sort of mastered every love language there is really! He always wants to make sure I know that he loves me. He shows that in a lot of ways, helping me with tasks I can't accomplish, encouraging me when I need it, spending time with me and listening to whatever I have to say. But most importantly, he'll simply just say it, usually in one of his longer Armin-monologues that he gets into when I'm not feeling good about myself and I need to know that he does love me. smitten — was it easy for the people around you and f/o to figure out you liked each other? did they get involved in you getting together at all? Oh, oh boy. So, everyone say thank you to Mikasa because she pulled ALL of the weight here. Eren was beyond clueless for a very long time and felt incredibly stupid when he realized. At some point the entire 104th knew besides us, but even then we still didn't say anything until the retaking of wall Maria, literally took us both nearly dying to get it out 😭 I will say, Jean had a special role in all this. I don't bother explaining this on my list but, in each of my canons if I end up with Armin, Jean is QP, if I end up with Jean, Armin is QP. It's a lovely balance I don't get in other things I ship in because that's how Jean and I's dynamic was before I realized I also loved him romantically! I also sometimes polyship with them both, which is fun! Anyways there's a point in all of this, Jean in my "Armin route" encouraged it the day of confession, if he didn't we probably STILL wouldn't have gone for it. Mikasa fought the battle but Jean won the war, truly. valentine — gush about your valentine! ^^ You got it boss! I love how cozy and comfortable Armin is, not only just to me but in general. I love cuddling with him while he reads, just curling up in his blanket and getting to take a cat nap. I also love it when he talks about work, I just really like hearing his mind work so fast as he's speaking, he's so intelligent and can be so passionate, it's so charming! He's my very amazing, compassionate, accommodating and doting husband that I'd do anything for!

What are your headcanons for Hyun x Jaehee’s wedding ?

Hmm... Personally, I only ever saw them as very close friends to each other, but it's certainly fun to explore their dynamic a little bit further. So, take my thoughts with a grain of salt, since I don't really pair them in a romantic sense!

Zen respects Jaehee greatly: he states that more than once throughout the game. Her work ethic is more than admirable. But, it isn't just that trait of hers that earned his respect. They're more similar than it may seem at first glance. The way Jaehee tries so hard to carry the weight of the whole world on her shoulders is so painfully familiar to him. They both grew up fending for themselves in this cruel and cold world, having to eventually learn not to rely on anyone else. They both never had a family to call their own. While Jaehee tragically lost her mother due to the horrific accident shortly after living through her father's passing, Zen had to run away from his highly abusive home life and leave his family behind for his own safety. I believe that's partially the reason why Jaehee got so attached Zen in the first place.

Seeing him achieve so much all by himself is so incredibly inspiring to her. They both had a rough upbringing, and observing his career grow and flourish gives her that, maybe one day, she might find the passion of her own.

Zen, on the other hand, finds out about Jaehee's difficult childhood only once they get further into their friendship. She's not one to be open about her struggles with other people. She doesn't want to worry those closest to her... And learning about that vulnerable side of her will make their connection prosper only farther.

Jaehee reminds Zen that he's loved just the way he is. Not for his looks and not for his achievements. He's loved and appreciated for simply being himself and enjoying what he does. Just by being himself he brings so much happiness into the lives of so many people that genuinely want to support him and see him grow. On the other hand, Zen is the one that encourages Jaehee to pursue her dreams without any fear inside her heart. He believes in her. For the first time in her life, someone tells her to choose what she truly wants.

Whether you see them as friends or partners, you can't deny just how important their relationship really is.

Now, if we're speaking about a wedding for them... I don't think it'll be anything grand. They respect each other, and Jaehee is not one for big celebrations, especially when it concerns something so incredibly personal for her. It'll be a small and lovely ceremony with only those closest to them as guests. Absolutely no paparazzi are allowed. By this point, Jaehee has already grown out her hair, so I think she'd prefer a hairstyle that shows off the length of her hair in all its beauty, like a metaphorical representation of her growth. (Off topic, but it's certainly cute to think about Jaehee and Zen sharing their hair care routine with each other!) As for the dress... it'll be elegant yet simple. Something natural that brings out her beauty.

Zen, on the other hand, will go all out for his outfit. Any occasion to dress up is exciting in his eyes and your very own wedding? Well, that's a day you're supposed to remember for the rest of your life, so he should dress accordingly! The ceremony will be peaceful and unrushed. It's a private moment to celebrate just how far they've come in their lives, as well as the treasured connection they've formed with each other over the years.

Ugh ok so there's this book series I've been reading just for fun, it's about college romance and I'm on the last one but it's giving me a serious headache so I'm letting out my feelings here just to vent bc jfc this book is so dumb.

The series is called Franklin U and it's mlm romance, the last one is called Football Royalty and is, in my opinion, the worst out of all 8 books. So if you have any intentions to read the book, maybe don't read this review? Tho i highly encourage you to skip it lmao but maybe that's just me bc in GR it has one of the highest ratings out of all the series.

So i want to start by saying that i thought, based on the reviews, that this would be one of the better ones like,, most books in this series were fun if a little silly but i truly enjoyed them and got really invested with some of the relationships, but def not this one, i was struggling. Truly. I mean... the setting was so stupid but i was willing to ignore that, if only the characterization wasn't so under cooked, the dialogue so extremely cringe, the characters motivations made a little sense, like give me something!? I literally only finished reading bc i wanted to complete the series and sometimes the book said something so stupid that it would make me chuckle here and there but seriously this wasn't worth it, like at all.

Starting with the plot, the whole story hinges on basically 1 (one) hook up that both MCs had towards the end of high school, which imo was pretty mediocre, and then somehow neither of them getting over it for 4 (FOUR) years, whAT. When i say 1 hook up, i mean just that like they weren't friends, before or after, not a crush or anything, they had 1 hook up and then they couldn't get over it for 4 YEARS. Then one of them shows up, like a stalker, 4 years later and they start talking like they were exes or had any type of relationship prior??????? So anyways, after we establish that level of flimsy connection between the two of them, they very quickly and i mean extremely quickly start having a fwb relationship because of course, and then the whole conflict of the story is that Peyton doesn't know how to have a relationship and a career at the same time so he starts chicken out until he suddenly decides he actually can, oh and Levi is keeping a secret from his family that i would say should be a bigger problem but it really isn't and it gets resolves in the least satisfying way possible.

And, idk what this author was going for, most books in this series have some kind of continuation with the others but this book acts like Learning Curve (the 6th and one of the best books in the series imho) doesn't exist? That book also deals with a guy who plays football and starts dating another guy, and he even shows up in this book (since he's teammates w this book's MC) but they never talk about it???

So, about the characterization, idk what else to say other than it's terrible. There's a theme in this series that I don't really like where there's a bunch of characters with money but none of them actually like having money (ugh) and act like they are lower class to, i guess, be relatable or something? It happens in almost every book for some reason. So obviously this one is no different, in this case it's both of them (the MCs) but Levi is the trust fund baby who was made to go to Harvard to study law even though he wants to do art, and he obviously hates having so much money, has class consciousness (which he learned who knows where) and acts like seeing expensive things is new to him and not something he literally grew up with???? I feel like there's ways to treat these types of characters (Gansey from The Raven Boys for example) but his character makes no sense whatsoever, also once he's made to work (due to reasons he somehow didn't foresee coming) he literally crumbles and suddenly acting poor isn't so cute anymore. I didn't know i had this many problems with this character but now that i started typing i can't stop, there's so much more stupid shit he does jc like how he decided to move across the country and switch careers hoping that a hook up he had 4 years ago and who he fucking rejected would still want to be with him????? hello?????? dude was truly delulu

Then there's Peyton, who was raised by 2 bisexual football player fathers, has a gay brother and gay uncle, but somehow admitting he's bisexual is super difficult (which would be fine if there was a single reason why he couldn't other than his family would tease him about it). The worst part about him is that he's super bland, sometimes I'd forget whose pov i was reading bc his voice and Levi's would just sound the same to me. He also has everything handed to him but he acts like life's so difficult it's giving me a headache, also in that regard Levi is exactly the same. And he's soooo selfish, it does get pointed out like once but he's like so annoyingly selfish, even his grand romantic gesture towards Levi was sooo selfish. Ugh there's so many instances where i just had to stop reading the book and walk around my house bc of how annoyed i got.

The rest of characters are just completely in the background, the closest to somehow being relevant to the plot is Peyton's brother Brady who is poly but in denial for some reason i still can't understand bc it never gets explained (unless it happened at the end bc by that point i was full on skipping pages.)

And now that i'm done typing all this, i feel like what's the point of anything... anyways
