i love how zoro is sexy in all of the adaptations and versions of one piece media; only two things are absolute in the op universe : (a) Luffy's strawhat, and (b) zoro being hot AF

i love your writing so much and im so glad you opened requests!! :) i would love if you wrote a fic about zoro being dominant (maybe some spanking/spitting?) him having a dirty mouth, and perhaps some edging? i have another idea that i'll send in a diff message too! even if you dont choose this one i look forward to reading the others <3
I've never written anything with a lot of dirty talk or dominance before, but I tried my best, and I hope I did it justice! 😊
Playing Rough
Pairing: Zoro x Reader
NSFW
Summary: You're being terribly stubborn, insisting on fighting battles you can't handle. Zoro decides to put you in your place. Warnings: Smut, Dom Zoro, Spanking, Dirty Talk, Slight Edging, Begging Word Count: 2.4k
It was a stupid argument, one that shouldn’t have happened.
The battle you had been through was rough, sure, but you didn’t take any damage that wouldn’t heal. Zoro had insisted you not fight on your own, not take on any challenge you couldn’t handle, and you had insisted that you were more than capable of handling it. And you were. You came home, didn’t you? And the bruises might be nasty and the stitches weren’t terribly fun either, but you were in one piece. You had managed to hobble your way back to the ship on your own, and you didn’t even collapse before making it into Zoro’s arms.
You were too out of it to comprehend the words he said, though you understood the panic and fear in his tone well enough. And you certainly understood the words he spoke when you first woke up.
“Are you stupid?”
“Excuse me?”
Before you could truly get angry, his arms were around you, crushing you against his chest. You can feel a slight tremor as he takes a deep breath, nose buried in your hair, taking in your scent, your warmth, any evidence that you are here with him and alive. He takes a shuddering inhale, the closest thing to weakness you’ve ever heard from him, before his voice comes back again, rough and absolutely furious. “You almost died.”
“I didn’t almost die.” You try to say it sweetly, soothingly, but his fingers tighten in a way that is less than kind.
“You almost died. You went even though you knew you shouldn’t, and you almost died. I almost lost you.” His voice isn’t shaking, not quite, but you swear you feel the tremor anyway. Zoro is not a man easily rattled, yet somehow you have shaken him to his very foundation.
“You could never lose me, Zoro. I knew what I was doing, I promise.”
“You knew the risk you were taking?”
“Yes. But I had to do it.” You bring a hand up to run through his hair. “I knew I would come back. I knew what I was doing, and I knew I was strong enough. I promise.”
You’re suddenly devoid of his warmth as he pulls away, glaring at you. “You have no idea what you’re talking about. Chopper said if you got back even a few minutes later…” He trails off, clenching his teeth.
“But I didn’t,” you insist. “Everything turned out fine, Zoro.”
“Do you think that’s all that matters?”
“Kind of!”
He huffs. “I’m glad you’re okay.” He stalks out of the room, slamming the door as he leaves. You throw yourself back onto the bed, wincing as you realize your ribs are very much broken. Every inch of you is bruised, and it hurts to breathe. But it was worth it. He would understand that eventually. Not every fight has a pretty ending, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t finish them.
He did not understand, as it turns out.
He still helped you as you healed, your dear protector always carrying you so gently, so purposefully. But you could feel the distance, the tension. Neither of you acknowledged it, focusing on your health first and foremost, but it haunted every moment you two were together. Touches were fleeting, conversation was sparse. But finally, finally, today you have been officially given a clean bill of health by Chopper.
“You’re cleared for everyday activity, but I still want you to stay out of fights for a while. And don’t do anything that reckless again!” Chopper’s words are law when it comes to your health, so you’ll do your best, but you can’t help but think of how no one else on this ship would follow such instructions.
“I’ll try.” No promises you can’t keep, and Chopper purses his lips a little when he realizes, but after a moment he simply nods. He’s used to patients even more stubborn than you, of course.
As you leave the office, ready to get back to your regular life, you’re instantly met by Zoro’s broad chest as he pulls you into him.
“You’re fine now?” There’s a tension to his voice you don’t fully understand.
“I–yeah? I guess?”
“Good.” He throws you over his shoulder, not exactly gently, now that he knows being rough with you won’t open your stitches.
“What are you doing?” You try to pull yourself up to see where he’s taking you, but he gives you a quick swat on the ass that makes you squeak as you fall limp again.
“You’ll see.” He jogs down a hallway you only recognize right before you reach your destination: his room. When the door slams shut behind you, enclosing you in darkness, it almost sounds like a death knell.
He throws you onto the bed carelessly, pushing a hand onto your stomach to keep you from bouncing. His other hand makes quick work of your pants as you squirm, not out of fear but out of pure confusion.
“Zoro? What’s going on?”
“We have a conversation to finish.” His voice is flat. You don’t need to ask him which conversation. You know damn well which one. He’s finally rid you of your pants, throwing them carelessly to the floor, and he begins to work on the buttons of your shirt.
“Is that what this is going to be? A conversation?”
He hums. “No, I guess not.” His callused hands are rough against your bare skin as he unhooks your bra and grabs your breasts. “You aren’t going to be doing much talking, today. It’s finally time for you to listen.” He kneads your chest for a moment, pinching harshly, before he moves to slide off your panties.
“Listen?” Your voice is a little strained as you feel his fingers slide against your bare skin for the first time in weeks.
“Yeah, listen. You weren’t willing before, so I have to try something else.” He flips you over before pulling you onto his lap, ass in the air. “Make you remember our roles here.”
“Our roles?”
“Yeah. I’m the protector of the ship, of our crew. That’s my job.”
“Oh? And what’s mine?”
“In general? To survive. Right now? To take what I give you.”
“And what are you giving me?”
“Do you think you’re in a position to interrogate me right now?” His hand grabs one of your ass cheeks, an attempt to remind you exactly who’s in charge. And you know, of course, who’s in charge here. But that doesn’t mean you can’t push him.
“You’ve been answering, haven’t you?” You can’t keep the mischief out of your voice.
He chuckles in spite of himself. “Yeah, I have. I’m being too nice, aren’t I?” His voice gets a little deeper, an intensity creeping in. “I’ll give you one more, as a treat. I’m giving you exactly what you’ve earned, for acting so fucking recklessly. And then, if you’re good? I’ll give you my cock. I’m sure you want it, hm? All cooped up in the infirmary for weeks, thinking about it, knowing you can’t have it. I bet it’s been driving you insane.”
With that, you feel the sharp sting of his hand as he brings it down. It makes you cry out as it connects with your soft flesh, but you know he isn’t using even half of his strength, holding back, somehow taking care of you even now. You feel him harden when he does it, though you can’t tell if it’s from the sound you make or from the action itself. Maybe both. His hand gently caresses the growing handprint, a moment of tenderness, before he raises his hand again and you tense.
“Just relax, sweetheart. It can’t be any worse than what you put us through.” Another smack, this one on the other cheek, and another, and another, alternating each time. You can’t help the small squeaks and whines you let out, and Zoro can’t hide the effect they have on him, breathing growing heavier and smacks becoming more intense as you both lose yourselves.
“That’s it. One more. You can take one more.”
“Ah!”
“That’s right. Another. You’re enjoying this, aren’t you? You’re practically dripping.” You clench your thighs together, trying to hide the fact that he’s right, about this, about the fight, about everything here. When you try, he tuts, bringing his hand down yet again, making you jolt. “Don’t go hiding yourself from me, pretty thing. You’re mine, every inch of you. You can’t hide a thing from me. Can you say it for me, sweet thing? Admit that you’re mine?”
“I’m yours, Zoro!”
“And that I was right?”
“You were—ah!” His hand comes down again, but you force your way through. “You were right, Zoro!”
“There we go.” His hands finally stop, coming to rest on your red and stinging ass. “Was that so hard to admit?”
You keep silent, your stubbornness still carrying you through.
He laughs at you. “You know, I could add a bit to your punishment for not answering. But,” his fingers find your entrance, wet and waiting, “I think you’d probably like that, huh?”
You hum, pushing your face into the bed, trying to hide your red face and ears. He lifts you up, pulling you up into a sitting position, holding your chin and forcing you to look him in the eyes. “Hiding again? You really liked your punishment, didn’t you? As much as I’d love to continue, that’s not all I had in store. So eyes on me.”
He quickly strips off his shirt before easily lifting you with one arm so he can slide off his pants. As he does, you can see a wet spot where you were resting. It’s a little mortifying, realizing how easily he can turn you to putty in his hands, literally dripping wet for him. Your embarrassment quickly subsides when he frees his cock, red and twitching, and you realize you hold just as much sway over him as he does over you. He lines himself up with your entrance, ready to give you exactly what you want.
As he slowly slides you down on his cock, you let out a moan, and he groans in response. His eyes are locked onto where your bodies meet, taking in the sight of you stretching around him. “Fuck, you take me so perfectly. Like you were made for me.”
Once he’s fully sheathed in you, you both take a moment to breathe in, enjoying the feeling of this first sweet stretch. The second you breathe out, he begins to bounce you roughly, making you squeak. “Oh, you thought I was going to go easy on you now?” He laughs, continuing his fast pace, fingertips digging into your hips. “Fuck, you feel so good, pretty thing. Bouncing on my cock just like that.”
One hand leaves your hips, moving up your body, finding its place at your chest. He pinches your nipples, making you squeal, before he leans forward, breathing heavily in your ear. “God, when you squeeze around me like that…” he squeezes your chest again, moaning. “You kill me, sweetheart.”
His hips continue to snap harshly into yours, pounding relentlessly as the sounds of slapping skin fill the room. His lips latch onto your neck, sucking and leaving a mark that clearly defines you as his. You can feel the heat rising as your orgasm builds, your sounds growing more wanton and desperate as Zoro begins to pound into you even faster, and faster.
And then it stops.
“Wha–”
You can feel the rumble of his chest against your back as he laughs. “Oh, did you think I was going to just give it to you?”
“I–But–I was good,” you say petulantly. Your voice is still a half whine as you try to ground yourself, the tension in your body slowly unraveling and leaving nothing but a cold dissatisfaction.
“Hm.” He presses his cheek to your shoulder, humming as though he’s thinking. “Well. Maybe if you beg you can cum on my cock. If you’re real sweet about it.”
It’s embarrassing how quickly the frantic cry leaves your mouth. “Please, please, please Zoro can I cum? Please?”
“Hm. I think you can do better.”
“Please, can I cum on your cock, Zoro! Please, I need you, please!”
“Alright. Since you asked so nicely.”
His fingers find your clit, rubbing circles around it. He enters you again, pace slower this time, but strokes deep and deliberate. You can feel every inch of him as he pulls in and out, feel the heat of his breath on your ear, hear his quiet moans as you clench around him. He will give you your release, but not as quickly as you want it. You’ll get it on his terms.
Even still, you reach your precipice quickly, and he whispers huskily in your ear. “Are you ready?”
You’re beyond all practical thought at this point, but you still manage two simple words. “Yes! Please.”
“Alright then, pretty thing. Cum for me.” With one final thrust, one final movement of his fingers, you do, gushing around him as the world shatters. You’re panting, desperate for breath, but you can’t seem to make your lungs listen to you over the symphony of pleasure you’re drowning in. Right as you manage to regain some control of yourself, you can feel Zoro go tense beneath you before you feel him spill inside of you, filling you to the brim as he quietly moans out your name.
You both sit together a moment, you limp in Zoro’s arms as he falls back onto the bed, before he speaks up.
“Promise me you’ll never do anything like that again. Really.” His arms wrap around you a little tighter. “I…I couldn’t stand the thought of losing you.”
“I won’t do it again, Zoro, I promise.” Your voice is weak, but you look up to see a sincere smile creep onto his face and you know he heard you. “...Are there other things that might get me punished like this? Less deadly things?”
He laughs. “Oh, there are plenty. And I’m sure you’ll do them all.” His hand runs through your hair affectionately. “But I’ll find more excuses to spank you later. I think you need some rest.”
With that, you two simply lay together, the only sound in the room your quiet breaths and the sound of Zoro’s heartbeat, growing slower and slower as you both drift off.

Green With Envy |Zoro X Reader|
Jealous Zoro x reader
Tumblr media
Zoro x Crewmate!Reader
A/N: This is for @dinuxia-bhm, Who requested Zoro Jealous of the shitty cook. This is my very first One Piece fic request so I hope I did it justice.
Request : Open
Word Count : 5.3k
Leave a comment if you enjoy ! :)
"If you stare any longer , you may actually burn the image of them into your brain." Nami teased. She bumped the swordsman with her elbow , only then drawing his attention to her presence. "
Do you plan on making a move or were you hoping to intimidate her into a relationship?"
Nami takes a seat at the table next to the pirate who also awaits the start of breakfast. His eyes glance over at her , contemplating if he has any harsh words for the navigator... He has half a mind to tell her to mind her own business. Relationship? He scoffs at the notion. The swordsman knew nothing of feelings or love. The taboo, he quickly determined, too ridiculous to even discuss. Zoro only huffs in disagreement then goes back to watching the displays of affection amongst you and the cook.
You were teaching Sanji how to make an authentic breakfast from your village. The cook had begged you for weeks to share your favorite recipe with him. Even offering to spend his own berries gathering all the ingredients.
"Sanji, why do you keep asking me about this?" You inquired on the third week.
" I know you've only been sailing with us for a couple months, but I'm sure you noticed how hard it is to be away from home. " He took the cigarette out his lips then ashed it on the railing before giving you a sincere smile. "I just want to be able to make you something if you get homesick."
It was difficult to decline such a heartfelt request.
"Here. Try it now."
You blew on the spoon hoping to cool it down. When most of the steam subsided , you extended your arm bringing the spoon to Sanji's lips. You steadied his chin with your free hand being sure not to spill the hot liquid on his face. He hummed in pleasure at the taste.
"I think you have outdone even me on this one, my love." Sanji grinned proudly.
"As if I could ever!"
You pushed your hand into Sanji's chest jokingly shoving him away from you. The cook grabs your wrist before you can pull away, drawing you in to plant a tender kiss on your cheek.
"Darling, you truly did an amazing job. Thank you for showing me."
The sight made Zoro's stomach turn. He watched how Sanji's hands fell to your waist when he moved around you to navigate the kitchen. Notice how you didn't shy away from his touch. How you actually offered a sweet smile to him in return . The marimo's body strained at every passing touch you and Sanji exchanged. His taut muscles are too tense to contract any further at the sight of Sanji's lips against your skin. "Why does he get to touch you?" The thought comes as a surprise to him.
"Here Zo , you wanna try ?" You asked.
You turn to him with a new spoonful of jam, blowing on it just as you had done for Sanji . You had taken notice of the swordsman's observations of you . Watch the way his eyes had followed your hands to Sanji's chin when you fed him . Zoro had sat at the table all morning supervising your lesson with the cook. You figured you could offer him that attention too.
"Marimo is too dense to appreciate such elegant flavors. " Sanji responds before Zoro has an opportunity to.
"Fuck you! It's only your shit cooking I don't appreciate!"
While the boys bicker you walk over to the table spoon in hand. Sanji had hurled another insult at the ex bounty hunter , but the delicate feeling of your fingers wrapping around his chin stopped any words Zoro may have had in return. There was a small pause where his eyes lingered on yours . Searching for something . Malice? Contempt? You didn't know. But When he found what he was looking for , or lack thereof , his lips parted.
"Is it good? Do you like it?" You asked using your thumb to wipe away the excess from the side of his mouth.
"Yeah..." His gaze shifts away from you. "Way better than the cooks."
You giggled at his words, allowing yourself to wallow in the heat that filled your chest at his praise. Amused at the small smirk that laid on his lips once he had gotten what he wanted. Your attention. You bend to bring your mouth to his ear.
"Silly swordsman, I have enough attention for the both of you." You whispered .
"I- that's not-"
The words trip and stumble out his mouth never once finding their feet. You could see the sweat begging to bead on Zoro's brow as his eyes shifted about in panic, looking for anything coherent to mumble back. The stoic pirate reduced to a fumbling teenager at your words. When he can come up with nothing, he decides to stop speaking. Annoyed, he crosses his arms against his chest and turns his head to face the navigator. He is met with the knowing grin on her face.
-
Your eyes scanned the room while your fingers aimlessly tapped against the sake bottle. You sat at the bar top alone , waiting for the rest of your crew-mates to join you . You should have known better than to think any of them would be on time. Sticking to the plan was not something the Strawhats were particularly versed in. Especially when they were all left to their own devices on a new island. You sigh, dragging your free hand down your face , attempting not to ruin your makeup in the process. It was beginning to get difficult to wait. The eyes of the pirate's in the bar watched you hungrily, and you feared one may try to satiate their appetite. Eyes still roaming the room, you hoped to see a familiar face.
"A pretty lady like yourself shouldn't be sitting all alone in a packed bar. " A man announces.
It's their captain. His arm is extended, hand out offering you a beer as he approaches. You smile, kindly declining. You hold up your own bottle, shaking it slightly to indicate its fullness as means of justification . The man nodded in understanding, but didn't leave. In fact he took the prolonged silence as an invitation to take a seat alongside you.
"Are you waiting on somebody?"
He casually rests his hand on your thigh as though he has already claimed you . You shift in your seat, turning so your legs would fall beneath the bar top. You're hoping the man would sense your discomfort at his proximity. His hand does not move. Instead his smile grows wider. Taking your movement as the green light to slowly drag his hand up toward your waist.
"My boyfriend is meeting me."
The lie slips past your lips with ease at the sudden rush of adrenaline. You go to swat the man's hands from you . The previous statement should be enough for him to understand you are not his to claim . The smile he wears drops. His hand doesn't move. Despite your physical protest. Your breath hitches in your throat at the growing realization of the situation you're in.
"He shouldn't have left you here all alone." The man's voice isn't above a whisper
His warning is gone just as quickly as it came , but your fear still lingers in the air. Your eyes bounce wryly from the door to the pirate who continued to creep into your space. "They're coming!" Your mind loops the words as if they were an incantation.
Then, as if to answer your fervent prayers, the bar door is shoved open. Luffy is the first of your crew to enter, his first mate trails behind him. You can see Zoro searching for you in the crowd, as the rest of the Strawhats messily file in after him. It doesn't take long for his eyes to find yours.
You don't have to say a word . The swordsman can sense your discomfort from where he stood. He saw the fear that engulfed the glimmer that resides in your eyes. He watched how you kept your arms held close to your body, afraid the man would reach for you. Notice how rigidly you cross your legs over one another . Then he sees the man's hand rubbing up and down your thigh. The swordsman starts making his way over to you, hand on the hilt of Shusui.
Zoro drew his sword placing the blade at the base of the man's wrist. The music in the bar stopped. The patrons are silent. Everybody's eyes fall on the three of you. Most filled with fear, your friends with confusion. But all watch the same as the conflict unfolds.
"Move your hand, before I slice it off."
There is a brief pause before the man laughs. A genuine belly hugging laugh at Zoro's imminent threat. Moments later the other men join in, egging their captain on.
"Is this the boyfriend you were talking about?"' The man asks, ignoring the ex bounty hunter. His eyes don't leave your body. Neither does his hand. "You almost got your lady in a lot of trouble , leaving her all alone in a bar like this."
Zoro's scowl deepens at the pirate's words. "Boyfriend? You had told the man he was your boyfriend?" The pieces slowly fall into place as the swordsman assesses the scene surrounding you. Alone, you sat in a bar full of pirates. The only other women present are staff of the small business. Zoro's eyes glance over at yours. His grip tightens around the hilt at the sight of your fearful expression. You had told the pirate he was boyfriend. Zoro finally understands.
"What kind of man would treat his girlfriend that way?"
"What kind of man uses his power to strong arm women? " The swordsman responds.
The question coals in the raging fire that was already roaring in the ex bounty hunter. The pirate had thought you were his, yet touched you anyway. Decided you were his to claim. To conquer. Then Justified his actions using the lack of Zoro's presence as an excuse. As if his absence was reason enough to encroach your space, and have you trembling in fear. Now the pirate captain had the audacity to question the type of man he was. It enrages Zoro.
"I'm not going to repeat myself."
"Strong arm?" The captain stifles another laugh. His eyes finally look over to meet the swordsman. "We would've handled princess here real gentle."
The pirate clenches his fingers around you then goes to inch his hand further up your thigh. Zoro has seen enough. There is a sharp yelp preceding the sound of him sheathing his weapon. Your harasser's hand falls to the floor beneath your feet. Blood spews from his severed arm. You want to scream, but a sharp gasp falls from your lips instead. Almost instinctively Zoro's hand reaches out to grasp yours at the reaction.
You had seen Zoro cut down many men before, but being inches away from his blade as he does so was an entirely different experience. As you felt the warmth of the pirate's blood seeping into your dress, and wiped at the splatters of blood that littered your skin, you couldn't help but be a bit awestruck at his strength.
The captain's crew members rush to his aid as his screams continue. Zoro lets you squeeze his hand while you cautiously hop down from the bar stool, trying your best not to slip on the blood that covered the floor. He nudges you along to follow him. The only precursor you receive before the two of you walk into the single stalled bathroom at the back of the bar.
The small room didn't allot the two of you much personal space. If anything it forced you two into dangerously close proximity. As you stood in front of the sink , back to the mirror, you could feel Zoro's knees lightly brush yours when he reached to grab the paper towel off the roll. He bundles it up then brings it to your cheek. You take note of the small hesitation he makes before his hand lands on your chin . He licks the wad before swiping away at your cheek. A poor attempt to rid you of the scumbag's blood.
"I'm sorry." The words feel unfamiliar as they fall from the swordsman's mouth.
Your eyebrows raise to your temples. In all the months you had been sailing with the Strawhats , you have never heard Zoro apologize. You wonder what made this occasion so different. the slight widening of your eyes gives way to your surprise. Zoro notices and continues.
"I should have been on time."
"Don't be sorry Zoro. You saved me, thank you."
You bring your hand up to rest over his before smiling up at him. The look in your eyes, the one he had seen you give to Sanji so many times, was finally from his doing. His heart raced at your expression. He felt himself begin to sweat as the warmth of your stare spread across his skin. Zoro couldn't understand the physical response from his body. Part of him wanted to run. To flee the threat that seemed to be your piercing gaze. But a bigger part of him wanted to bask in its glow, doing anything imaginable to keep the sun out just a little while longer.
"Although " You giggle at the silly hunch. "I would have thought it would be Sanji to save me."
Your words bring raging storm clouds that wash Zoro's warmth away. He rolls his eyes. As though the notion was too implausible to even be considered. He brings the paper towel back to your cheek then speaks.
"The dumbass cook can barely save himself !"
"Is the moss head jealous?" You tease. " I'm happy it was you."
A loud bang on the flimsy wooden door interrupts the swordsman before he can respond. Seconds later it flings open, shaking on its creaky hinges. The sniper stands on the other side wide eyed.
"It's time to go!"
When you reunite with your crew there really is no need to explain the urgency of the situation. The pirate captain laid unconscious on the ground with a makeshift tourniquet wrapped around his arm. Apparently the crew had not taken kindly to Zoro's treatment of their captain, and seemed to have every intention of taking it out on the rest of the crew.
"C'mon guys there is surely no reason to make this much fuss over one hand." Brooke had tried to reason, his efforts in vain. The pirate crew wanted a fight.
"You pieces of shit!" Sanji swept his leg, thrashing a considerable number of men through the bar's singular window. "How dare he have the audacity to treat my darling , sweet love with such disrespect. And now you stand here trying to avenge your captain's actions... I won't allow it to go unpunished."
Sanji had enough fury in his heart to take on the entirety of the scumbag's lackeys. A fight was the only way to alleviate the emotions that were sure to get the better of him. In under three moves the cook had the no named pirate crew looking just as bad as their captain. The situation was settled.
-
"So the swordsman saves the day." Sanji says dejectedly as he brings the glass to his lips to take a drink. "At least you're okay."
You can't help the giddy smile that appears on your face at his mention. A bitter side effect of the alcohol. The navigator had suggested none of you go home empty handed after the chaos that ensued at the bar. Insinuated you had deserved a treat after all your troubles. There were no objections. At first you can only giggle at the cook's words. Butterfly's bloom in your chest when you think about the swordsman's delicate touch against your skin just moments after cutting a man down... for you. A slight chills crawls down your spine. You take a significant swig from the whiskey bottle in your hand hoping the burn of the alcohol sliding down your throat may warm you up.
"He's an interesting man , Uh?" You pause to glance towards the deck. "Zoro."
"That's one word."
Sanji's curly brows raise at your question. He turns to look at you, but you don't meet his gaze. You're looking out at the party . The cook watches your eyes while they search and scatter. He is trying to assess their intent, and then it dawns on him. You were looking for him. The Swordsman.
"You wouldn't happen to have a crush on mosshead would you?"
Your eyes dart back to Sanji , then away to look at the sea. Crush wasn't nearly a strong enough word to describe how you felt about Roronoa Zoro. Sometimes you would switch night watches with Nami just for the opportunity to watch the swordsman train in the crows nest. Although most of the time had been spent in silence , there was still something special about being in his presence. But Zoro's stoicism made it difficult to discern his feelings. You had thought him so unconcerned with your presence for so long that you had resorted to blatant teases and flirting with him in the first place. If only to fluster him. You craved acknowledgment from Zoro, in the way your lungs craved oxygen. desperately.
"I have been obsessed with the swordsman since the day Luffy dragged me onto the sunny... "
"Obsessed uh?"
Sanji lets out a genuine laugh at the words. Amused by the way the alcohol loosens your tongue. He had always taken notice of your affinity toward Zoro. Witnessed how differently you spoke to him than the others. Your crewmates had easily labeled you a flirt, but the way you riled Zoro had been different than the jokingly stated endearments you passed the rest of them.
Sanji glances around you to spot the swordsman on the deck. As he suspects the green haired pirate is surveilling them. When their eyes meet Zoro turns his head to stare at the antics of their captain, feigning interest. "If the dumbass mosshead had even the slightest ounce of emotional intelligence the two of you would be happy now." Sanji is surprised when the thought bumps into his head.
"Well, darling" Sanji wraps his arm around your shoulder to draw you into him. You rest your head on his chest, then he continues to speak. "I have half a mind to say marimo likes you too."
The swordsman lays against the mast , feet crossed in front of him downing his third bottle of the night. He doesn't understand his anger at your actions; This scalding feeling that envelops him at the way you rest your head on Sanji's chest encourages him to drink more. He tries to dismiss his thoughts, convince himself that he doesn't care, but they bombard him like a buster call.
"Why did the cook get to hold you?" "He was the one who saved you. Why are you batting your eyelashes at Sanji and not him ?" "What else does he have to do to keep your attention?" "What about the shit cook was so much better than him?"
Zoro sees you part from the cook, and watches as you trek back to the party. He assumes you'll rejoin Nami and Robin, considering the tipsy women are calling your name so fervently. His brows raise when you pass them giving a placating wave. You're making your way over to him.
"Don't tell me you're already done drinking Zoro. I hadn't known you to be such a lightweight." You jest, pointing over to the 3 empty bottles that sat alongside him.
Zoro smirks before reaching for the half empty bottle that was clutched in your fingers. He wraps his large hand around yours then guides you to bring the bottle to his lips so he can take a drink. When he is done he wipes the excess from his lips using the back of his hand.
"You done smiling at the cook?"
He releases his hold on you then turns his head so your eyes won't meet his. He's staring at the sea as if it will answer his question. You mock a gasp bringing your free hand to your chest. Then you giggle.
"Roronoa! You're so jealous."
"No I'm not!"
You bring your hand to Zoro's cheek guiding his eyes back to yours. You offer him a sly smirk before you bend at the waist to meet his face. You're so close Zoro can feel your breath on his cheeks.
"Yes you are mossy. So spoiled, wanting my attention all to yourself. It's okay, I'm here now."
Zoro jerks his chin away from your grasp. His face scrunches into a frown. It's difficult for him to discern if it's anger, or embarrassment that's swelling inside him. The words fall from his lips before he has a chance to assess them.
"I'm not jealous!... I don't even know what the shitty cook sees in you."
Zoro wishes he could snatch the words back before they hit your ears. Hates how you wince at what he says. The way your smile dropped while you ruminated on his words. There is no more sunshine in your tear pooled eyes, only storm clouds. He knows it before the first tear has fallen. He's gone too far. You storm away from him.
-
"You made her cry." Sanji states as he pulls the cigarette for his lips. He puffs the smoke out then turns to Mosshead for an answer.
Zoro is in the crow's nest hiding from the peering eyes of his crewmates. Surely the cook hadn't been the only one to notice your early departure from the party only moments after the conversation you two had. The others were bound to have questions of their own soon. None of which Zoro cared to answer.
"I didn't mean to." Is all the swordsman can muster. The image of your broken hearted eyes are seared into his brain. Why did he say that? He wants to bang his head against the wall at the thought. Sanji rolls his eyes at the excuse. Not assuaged by the swordsman's words. Intent had no significance in Sanji's mind, all that mattered was that he was the source of your tears.
"What did you say to her?"
"It doesn't matter."
"Bullshit."
Zoro walked toward the dumbbells that laid on the floor . He decides lifting is a better option than repeating his misgivings. He had no intention of admitting to the cook that he himself had been the source of Zoro's rage.
"Why do you care?" Zoro snaps back . He's deflecting.
"Because I care about her. She's cried herself to sleep and it's your fault!"
"If you care so much you fix it!"
"I wish I could marimo, I would love nothing more than to take that darling lady away from you."
Zoro scrunched his face into yet another frown. From him ? Zoro had never believed you his to begin with . Had that been the case he would've cut the chef down ages ago for his fleeting touches and stares.
"Take her, I don't care."
At this the cook let out a loud laugh that threatened to escape the confines of the crow's nest. He genuinely couldn't believe the swordsman could be so oblivious of his own feelings. When Sanji catches his breath, he can't help his devilish smile.
"... So you wouldn't mind if I climb into her bed tonight? You know she asked me."
Zoro's jaw clenches. He lowers the dumb bells away from his chest then drops them to the floor. Now his eyes meet the cook. Sanji takes it as an invitation to continue.
"I think she wanted the comfort after y'all's ... run in."
More fuel is added to Zoro's already racing thoughts. This time, he could not convince himself he was unbothered. Couldn't find a deep place to push the discomfort. The cook always got the best parts of you. Parts the swordsman so desperately wanted to save for himself. Zoro was sick of it.
"Don't touch her."
A sharp chuckle falls from Sanji's lips at the irony. Zoro couldn't admit to how he feels about you, but is standing there contemplating cutting him down at the mere thought of letting him into your bed. How could marimo be so stupid?
"Yeah mosshead, You don't care about her at all." Sanji mocked.
"You don't know what you're talking about?" Zoro scoffs.
What does the shitty cook know of his feelings, when he himself could not sort them out.
Sanji can only shake his head in disappointment. He brings his fingers to the bridge of his nose to pinch it slightly before letting out a dismissive sigh. Oh how'd he wished to take your mind away from the swordsman. Wished it was he who was the object of your affections, but the cook knew you would never be obsessed with him in the same way you were marimo. As painful as that may be.
"Zoro, if you lose the girl you're in love with because you're too stupid to figure out your feelings..." He takes a drag from his cigarette "You're a bigger dumbass than I thought."
"Why do you give a shit if things work out?t" Zoro snarls. He wonders why Sanji has suddenly taken his feelings into so much consideration.
"Honestly mossy I don't. You don't deserve her. but she loves you and she deserves to be happy. You'll make her happy. That's all I really want... "
-
Sanji set the plate down on the vanity. He peers over at you wrapped in the thick comforter. You had allowed it to engulf you, face and all. You had not moved since he had come to see you last. That was at breakfast. Still you faced the wall with your back to him. There is a slight hesitation in his step before he walks further into the room.
"You sure everything is okay?" He inquires for the second time.
"I'm fine Sanji. Really." You attempt to sound reassuring.
The cook nods in understanding. He is not convinced , but will not ask for a third time . Instead he leaves the room, shutting the door behind him. A sigh of relief leaves your lips. You didn't want to tell Sanji the truth. That you were too embarrassed to face the swordsman. That his rejection looped continuously through your mind, making it impossible to sleep. Had Zoro really meant what he said ? Were you just making a fool of yourself this whole time? The thought makes you shudder.
Sanji pushes his way through the door to enter the kitchen. He is met with the eyes of his crewmates who waited for him at the table in anticipation . He shakes his head. Nami and Robin release their sighs of disappointment .
"I wonder why she won't join us." Robin inquires.
"First breakfast, now lunch... She must really be feeling bad." Nami continues.
"I can go check on her... " Luffy chimes in "maybe she'll tell me what's wrong."
Luffy goes to grab a handful of the chopped fruit Sanji had placed on the table . Sanji swats his captain's hands away before sitting another plate down, this time sandwiches. Zoro has now entered the kitchen hearing the tale end of the Strawhat's woes. He feels the way the cooks eye borough into his skull, knowing that they're scowling at him. Zoro doesn't look his way. He knows that it is his fault you've gone missing . He doesn't need the cook to remind him.
"Marimo is going to check on her." Sanji announces.
The room falls quite as eyes are now on the swordsman. Nami cringes in disbelief, shaking her head vigorously.
"I don't think that's a good id-"
"Don't worry, he'll fix it." Sanji ends Nami's sentence before she has the chance to.
His crew eyes him with unsure stares. Zoro had never been one to offer much comfort, even in the most dark of times. They didn't see how he'd be the answer to their troubles. Sanji does not elaborate on his statement. He offers his crew a smile before setting the homemade chips on the table and announcing lunch is ready.
-
"Sanji , you don't have to keep coming in here every fifteen minutes to check on me. " You say to the sound of knocking at the bedroom door.
You pull the blankets back to face who you thought was the cook. Zoro stood there in his place. His back against the bedroom door like he was still contemplating if he should stay or not. You sit up at the feeling of your heart shooting to your throat.
"What are you doing here?"
"You haven't come out all day." He responds as if that answers your question. When you don't say anything back , he assumes he should continue. "They're worried about you."
Zoro's hand falls to the nape of his neck, he rubs sheepishly then looks down at the floor. You roll your eyes, dissatisfied with his answer. You pull the blankets up to cover your face then turn your back to him.
"Go away Zoro."
It hurts him to hear, although he knows he has no right to be upset. When he heard you didn't show up for breakfast, he'd felt worse than when the words initially fell from his mouth. Truth be told he had hid in the crow's nest as long as he could trying not to run into you this morning . Thought that he was giving you space to breathe without his watchful eye.
"I- I was jealous... of you and the cook."
Zoro pauses waiting for a reaction from you to see if he should keep talking or not. There's an unusual shake of fear in his voice you don't recognize. You sit up to face him once again.
"I was mad and I took it out on you. I'm sorry. It won't happen again."
This has made two apologies from the ever prideful pirate.
"You hurt my feelings." Your voice is soft , fragile as you respond.
"I know..." The swordsman pushes himself from the door to take a step towards you. "If I could eat the words I would."
You gaze into his eyes for a moment, searching for an ounce of deception. You know you won't find it . If the swordsman had not meant his words, he would not have gone out of his way to say them. But still you look to reassure yourself.
"Zoro I don't understand makes you so angry about my relationship with Sanji?"
"I don't like it when he touches you." The swordsman confesses.
You smirk at his candor. All this over the playful touches the cook had thrown your way. It was almost too sweet to believe you had the swordsman so twisted at the sight of you sharing your affection. You swing your legs so they fall off the edge of the bed. You're staring at him intently. Zoro is nervous under your gaze . You can tell by the way he fiddles with his fingers aimlessly.
"You don't like when Sanji touches me ?" You repeat. You pause to offer the swordsman a chance to take back his words. But he does not renege.
"...I don't like when anyone touches you."
Your giggle is involuntary. The smirk on your lips is now a full blown smile. Despite the pain that had come from it, you couldn't help but love the thought of the swordsman jealous over you. Before you were just joking , but to hear the words from Zoro's mouth himself was truly blissful.
"Roronoa... Do you have a crush on me?"
"Crush on you?" He ponders like it's the first time he's thought about it. "I don't think that's a strong enough word."
"No?"
He shakes his head taking a step toward you . His hand meets your cheek. He is hesitant. Thinks you may pull away from his touch. But the swordsman is pleasantly surprised when you lean into his hand.
"Sanji says I'm in love with you."
Your heart skips at the word. Love. It sounded so sweet coming from Zoro lips. You wondered what you would have to do to hear him say it again.
"Yeah? And what do you think?"
"I think he might be right."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A/N : I stared at this so long, I might have it memorized at this point lol. I'm not sure if I'm happy with it , but it is a labor of love nonetheless.
{If you would like to be added to my tag list lemme know! I would Love to have you}

i love your law writing sm!!!
may i request for a law x reader where reader gets turned into a doll in dressrosa🫣
OUGH ANON YOUR MIND but also I hope that I can do this justice for you!!
[Heads up!: Dressrosa spoilers, devil fruit effects (Sugar's), hefty dose of angst, Strawhat!reader, some comfort at the end!]
Tumblr media
This is bad.
The sound of hard plastic over stone resounds through the air, a lone doll darting down the road, glass eyes fixed on the extension of string across the sky like a bird cage. Exactly like a bird cage.
You're fully aware that the situation has continously gone from bad, to worse, to steadily worsening ㅡ a domino effect that you're not sure how to solve.
Especially when you've been turned into a doll. Knobby ball joints allow you more freedom of motion, but your footsteps still stagger on the occasional odd step, unaccustomed to being so small. And made of plastic.
Damn that kid, you think, recalling your unfortunate encounter with the small green haired girl. She'd been crying, leading you to believe that she'd been looking for her parents in the chaos ㅡ and then she'd touched you, turning you into a doll.
"You're with the Strawhats," she'd told you evenly. "Serves you right."
Thankfully you'd taken off before she could continue, and you've yet to spot her giving chase. Now you're desperate to find whatever crewmates you can, to tell them what's happened to you ㅡ and if it can be fixed.
Zoro is the one you come across first, though he doesn't spare you a glance as he darts past you.
"Zoro, wait!" You take off after him, ball-jointed fingers reaching to snag into his pant leg. "It's me, Iㅡ"
"Get off me, I don't have time for this!" It's hardly a kick, but it still sends you flying, the hard click of plastic as you skitter across the cobblestone.
Despite your body being made of something inorganic, it hurts ㅡ and you stare at Zoro's retreating figure.
Had he not recognized you?
Picking yourself up, you stumble towards a fountain, hands flat against the rim as you peer into it. Glass eyes stare back at you in the same color as your own, the same shade and length of hair ㅡ and a deep crack in your cheek that spider webs out. No doubt from the impact moments before ㅡ and you touch it.
Surely if he'd known, Zoro wouldn't have done it. And he seemed like he was in a hurry ㅡ so you can't fault him. Resolve renewed, you pull away.
You need to find the others.
None of them recognize you. Not a single one of your crewmates seem to remember that you belong with them ㅡ undoubtedly an effect of Sugar's ability.
Regardless, it still hurts ㅡ that your presence has been completely wiped clean, reduced to nothing but plastic limbs and a hollow body.
What if you're stuck like this forever? If the rest of this is true, the other toy citizens of Dressrosa have been like this for years ㅡ how many of them have families? Children? Loved ones ㅡ are they toys too, or they people still?
If you could cry, you would.
Perhaps this is best. That they forget you completely, leave you here ㅡ being a doll can't possibly be so bad, can it?
You shake your head, hating the click of the movement as you bury your face in your hands. You don't want to be a doll anymore.
You want to be remembered.
"Still awake?"
Law's voice makes you turn from where you're seated in the kitchen of Kyros' house, staring out the window at the night sky.
"Can't sleep," you admit, studying the cup of tea you've let grow cold. "I don't think I did much to help, so I shouldn't be tired anyways."
Law blinks, lets his gaze drift over your face, stopping at the bandage carefully taped to your cheek. "What happened?"
"Huh?" He nods to your cherk, and your fingers brush the bandage. "Oh...I got turned into a doll and had a mishap."
You'd already recieved an apology from Zoro, and from the others for them forgetting your existence ㅡ and while it helps to know that they'd never truly do that to you, the dark thoughts still linger.
"You should be resting," you say, staring at the wrap of white bandage around Law's arm. "You almost lost an arm, that's way more serious."
Law gives a vague shrug. "You look like there's something on your mind."
You watch as he takes a seat across from you, and you sigh. You like Law, have found it easy to grow accustomed to him and his ever thinning patience with your crewmates' antics ㅡ and feel genuine relief that he's going to be fine despite his injuries from Doflamingo.
"You don't have to talk if you don't want to," Law prompts softly, "but I don't mind keeping you company, either."
"That's kind of you," you answer, offering a small smile that quickly dims as you stare at your hands ㅡ hands that just a handful of hours ago, had been made of plastic. "I just...when no one remembered who I was, I thought abiut what would happen if I stayed like that and it's still sticking with me, I think."
Law watches you curl in on yourself, made smaller for the slump of your shoulders, the shimmer to your eyes that promises tears you fight hard not to let fall.
"If they'd be better off without me..."
"They wouldn't." Law's voice is crisp and cool, and you look up to find him staring at you. "Strawhat is a lot of things, but someone to regret the people he surrounds himself with isn't one of them. You're part of his crew for a reason." He pauses. "I'm also fairly certain you're one of the only ones capable of listening and following a plan."
It's a roundabout, awkward way of comforting you that feels entirely on par with who Law is, and you blink before a weak smile tugs at your lips. "I appreciate that. Thank-you, Law."
"You're welcome." He watches you silently before a smirk tugs at his his lips as he adds, "And besides, if Strawhat doesn't need you, I could always use someone like you on my crew."

Hai <333333333
I just wanna say i love ur writing style sm and you even inspired me to start!!!
I was wondering could you maybe do scenarios where the monster trio + law finds out that their s/o was a marine before they became a pirate?
Thanks so much :)
So I debated writing this, thinking it might be a little vague. However, I had a few ideas, plus, flattery will get you everywhere with me. I'm so glad you like my writing and that you'd started writing! I bet you'll be amazing!
Warnings: violence, Law being particularly mean, hurt/comfort, GN!Reader
Word Count: 1290
You’d left a long time ago, or at least, it felt like a long time ago. At one point, you’d truly believed in them, believed that they were good people, but the corruption that seemed to permeate every level of their ranks, the destruction and concealment of knowledge, the blind eyes to the suffering of others, it sickened you. Perhaps it was unsurprising that you’d left, that you’d told them off as you threw your ‘justice’ jacket to the ground before storming out. A ‘dishonorable discharge’, like you cared. You’d heard of kind, helpful pirates, so you’d become one, hopping from crew to crew, trying to find your place. Some of them were great, some were okay, but you never quite clicked with the crew. Meeting up with your current crew, however, was a different story. There was just something about them. Maybe it was how sweet they were as a whole, maybe it was how they helped people, or maybe it was the man that you’d fallen for, whatever it was, you didn’t want to leave like you had in the past. Dating him only strengthened that feeling, only made you want to stay more. The closer you got to him, however, the more you feared him finding out about your past. You knew it was possible that he just wouldn’t care, that he’d shrug it off like he did with a lot of things, but you feared the worst, you feared him hating you for it, that for whatever reason, he’d see you differently, that he’d leave you. When you’d come face to face with your Vice Admiral commander, you’d frozen, this man knew you well, this man had been in charge of you, had trained you. Was the ringing in your ears from a bell or machine? Or was it from the words out of his mouth? The ones about your position as he laughed, mocking you.
Luffy
He barely registered what the man had said and, quite frankly, didn’t care. All he saw was you freezing up, was your terrified expression and tears streaming down your cheeks at the man’s words. Suddenly, the vice admiral was on the floor, holding his nose as Luffy’s arm retracted, his face filled with anger. Nobody hurt the love of his life like that and got away with it! It didn’t take long for Luffy to defeat the group of marines, hurrying over to you as you sat on the deck of the Sunny on your knees. The young man quickly began wiping away your tears, smiling at you, his usual sunny smile.
“Hey, it’s okay. Don’t pay attention to what he said.” Luffy said, drawing your attention, how was he okay with this?
“Luffy, I… how are you okay with this?” you asked, more tears taking the place of the ones Luffy wiped away. Luffy just cocked his head to the side in confusion.
“What the guy said? Who cares what he said. You’re you, so that’s all that matters. He made you cry so I beat him up.” Luffy said, pulling you into a hug. In truth, he still didn’t really register what the man had said, only that he’d probably insulted you, but he didn’t care. He didn’t care if it was true, didn’t care what may or may not have happened to you, all he cared about was you.
Zoro
Was he shocked? Not particularly, but then, few things truly shocked the green haired man. Besides, it explained a few things that he’d noticed about you. Your strict training regiment, your early wake up and sleep schedule, and your desire to keep your clothes in ‘proper form’. He wasn’t particularly bothered by it either, he’d been a pirate hunter before becoming a pirate, so he didn’t see it as being that different, you’d both actively put pirates away, what did he care about how? What he was bothered by, was the marine mocking you, your body trembling as you stood there. You could take care of yourself most of the time and he didn’t worry about you getting a few scrapes, but this wasn’t some physical scrape that could be healed, this man was messing with your head. The crew barely even saw him move, standing near you one second and then standing behind the vice admiral the next. He could only hope that the man would have a permanent scar, a reminder to never mess with you or the crew again, a reminder of what he’d done and the strength that Zoro had. Walking back over to you, he kneeled down in front of your sobbing form, curled into yourself on the ground.
“Marine, pirate, civilian, it doesn’t change who you are. I still love you.” he said softly, picking you up and heading inside, letting the others take care of things while he comforted you.
Sanji
The blond was furious. How dare somebody hurt you! He barely let you come to harm in a regular fight, this? This was personal. They’d hurt you and now they’d feel his full wrath. He honestly didn’t care about the holes he kicked into their ship, nor did he care about the fire that began to spread, the lower ranking marines scrambling to put the flames out as he faced off with the marine who’d hurt you. Sanji was a sweet, caring, loving man, a chef who enjoyed the looks on people’s faces as they enjoyed his food, and your gentle lover. Even towards his enemies, he was never vicious or cruel, so much so that the crew wondered if this was even Sanji as he devastated not only the vice admiral, but the crew, and their ship, a dark look in his eyes. Almost as soon as the last man fell, Sanji was rushing towards you, worry filling his eyes as he picked you up and headed inside. You needed comfort, hugs, your favorite snack, maybe a relaxing bath. Whatever would make you feel better, he’d gladly do for you. So you were an ex-marine, that didn’t change his feelings about you.
Law
Stunned. That was the only word to describe his initial feelings towards the information. He’d had an… interesting past with marines. First Flavence, then Cora-san, he really wasn’t sure how to feel about the marines. Even still, seeing the tears streaming down your cheeks, watching you stumble back in fear, he couldn’t let the vice admiral get away with this. Taking the ship of marines out was child’s play as he activated his room, while he wouldn’t destroy their ship just yet, he’d leave the marines to attempt to figure out how to put themselves back together as he turned them into a pile of limbs, torsos and heads. Almost like a doll shop of body parts, ready to be assembled. The vice admiral stood there, looking at the chaotic mess that was his crew before turning back towards Law, fear filling his eyes. Law had purposefully saved him for last, slowly walking towards the man. Had he been a little mean in the past? Yes, had he been outright cruel? Once or twice. But what he did to the vice admiral was dark even for him. Organs scattered about the deck, body chopped into pieces and hidden across the ship, left only with a pair of eyes sitting upon a barrel as Law walked back to the Polar Tang. He needed to have a talk with you. The vice admiral said ‘former marine’, meaning that you’d quit, so for better or worse, you were no longer a part of the scum that he’d just disassembled, but he was kinda mad that you’d hidden it from him. He thought you trusted him more than that.

Part 27: Apprehend Law
Dinner and a Murder: A Mr. Prince Mystery Masterpost
“Just on time,” Sanji says as he nods towards the door, “You ready?”
Law gives him a wry smile that doesn’t quite reach his eyes, “I suppose there’s no point in me trying to resist, is there?”
“I am sorry,” he says as he puts his cigarette out in the nearby ashtray, “I know your circumstances were tough, but you have friends you could have asked for help. There was no reason for anyone to die.”
“I know,” he closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. When he opens them again, he stares at Sanji with a new resolve, “My actions have consequences. The least I can do for both Nami and Ace is face them.”
He steps forward and follows Sanji out the door.
Zoro follows after them, he’s unsurprised and delighted to see.
“You don’t have to-” Sanji starts, but Zoro quickly cuts him off.
“I know,” he says, an almost shy grin on his face as he grabs his hand, “But we did this together. We should end it together.”
Sanji flushes at the contact and the words, but holds his hand tight as they all step outside.
He’s not shocked to find Zeff here, since the old man has a habit of sticking his nose into Sanji’s business, and immediately turns to him, “Geezer.”
“Eggplant,” Zeff greets with a stern look as he puffs on his cigar, “What do you have for me this time?”
He eyes his and Zoro’s joined hands, but doesn’t comment. Sanji squeezes Zoro’s hand, and likewise doesn’t explain.
Instead Sanji’s eyes dart to Law, as he thinks about how best to explain to the old man exactly what happened tonight. The more he thinks it over, the more he realizes that punishing Law won’t be enough to truly bring justice for Ace and Nami.
There was someone else pulling the strings behind everything, someone who has been alluding justice this whole time.
But maybe, with the events that played out this evening, with Law’s help, with all the evidence they’d gathered, they can finally do something about him.
“It’s a bit of a doozy this time,” Sanji admits, “But if we play our cards right, we should be able to take down a dangerous scumbag known as Blackbeard.”
Law and Zoro both turn to look at him, faces stunned. He gives Zoro’s hand a squeeze, and hopes the look he gives him is enough for him to trust him. It must be, because Zoro squeezes back and nods for him to continue.
“Blackbeard?” That has Zeff raising a curious brow, “Been after him for ages. What happened?”
“There was a double murder here tonight,” Sanji explains to Zeff, “The first victim, a young man named Ace, was killed by his friend Nami, who also happened to be working as Blackbeard’s bookkeeper. Blackbeard has had a vendetta against Ace for a while, so it’s no wonder he got angry when he found out. However, Nami’s work with Blackbeard was coerced. She wanted out, but in order to do that, she had to take advantage of some of her other friends.” He nods to Law, “Like Law.”
“So you killed this Nami, I bet,” Zeff concludes with a sigh.
“Yes, sir,” Law admits, regret clear in his voice.
“But Blackbeard was the real villain tonight,” Sanji continues, “Everyone here is a victim of his terror. With all the evidence we’ve gathered tonight and Law and the other guests’ cooperation and testimony, I’m sure we can finally put him behind bars.”
“It’ll be tough, Blackbeard’s not one to go quietly,” He chews on the end of his cigar for a bit as he mulls it over, then gives Sanji a slow, easy smirk, “But damn if you don’t make me want to try. Alright kid, I’m game. What have you got?”
-
The court cases surrounding what the media quickly dubs as the Great Blackbeard Conspiracy are, unsurprisingly, long and complicated.
But in the end, after Usopp, Zoro, and Law give detailed testimony about the years and events leading up to Ace and Nami’s murder, after Nami’s sister gives a heart wrenching account of just what Blackbeard put her sister through that has half the jury in tears, after Luffy give detailed testimony about the years and events leading up to Ace’s accident and murder, after Sanji’s meticulous and thorough account of his and Luffy’s entire investigation, both that night and beyond, Blackbeard and his cohorts are found guilty on all counts.
“I’ll be seeing you real soon, Mr. Prince,” Blackbeard laughs, his smile wide, but his eyes are full of malice as he’s taken away, “I’ve got a long memory, and thanks to you, plenty of time.”
Sanji sighs as he watches him go, just thankful that there’s one less terror out there in the world.
When it’s all said and done, he finds Zoro waiting for him.
The affection and attraction he’d felt for Zoro that first night hadn’t faded with the lengthy trials. If anything, with Zoro being the sure, sturdy rock they’d all needed to lean on throughout the whole thing, it had grown.
But he hadn’t done anything about it, hadn’t said anything to Zoro. He’d been so focused on the case and taking down Blackbeard, he didn’t want any distractions, or for Blackbeard to use Zoro against him, or worse, to devote anything less than his full attention to Zoro.
Zoro deserves nothing less than everything Sanji can give him, after all.
He knows it won’t be easy, he knows his job will get in the way more than not, but through whatever else life throws at him, he knows he wants Zoro there by his side, helping and supporting him in the way only he can.
“Mosshead,” Sanji says in lieu of a proper greeting.
Zoro turns to look at him, that brilliant smile of his on his face, “Curly.”
“It’s been a while.”
“Yeah, well,” he shrugs as he turns completely, “You’ve been busy.”
“There’s something I’ve been meaning to tell you.”
“Oh?” He tilts his head, “What?”
Sanji’s heart races as he swallows any lingering doubts. He takes one more step forward, putting himself right in Zoro’s space, grabs his hand, and says, “I love you.”
Zoro blinks at him, and his smile grows even wider somehow as he laughs, “Damn, beat me to the punch.”
It’s Sanji’s turn to be surprised, “What?”
Zoro shakes his head as he rubs a gentle thumb across his knuckles, “I love you too, Sanji. I’ve wanted to tell you ever since the night we met. I just didn’t want to distract you from what you had to do here.”
“We’re done now,” Sanji’s heart is soaring in his chest as he steps even closer, “You can tell me now.”
“Then I will.”
He brings his hands to his lips and kisses his knuckles, “I love you, Sanji. I love the way you solve mysteries, I love the way you throw yourself into everything you do. I love how your hair glows in the sunlight, I love your smile, your face. I love everything about you.
“So what do you say?” Zoro leans in close, his lips hovering tantalizingly above Sanji’s, “Will you be mine?”
Sanji answers by closing that miniscule distance between them, claiming Zoro’s lips, and Zoro’s love, and Zoro as his own.
“Yes,” he says when they pull apart, “I’ll be yours, as long as you’ll be mine.”
“I’ll be yours forever.”
Sanji doesn’t fight the temptation to kiss him again, to hold him close as he kisses him back, too lost in everything Zoro’s offering to care about witness.
“C’mon,” Zoro says when they finally separate, tugging his hand as he guides him away, “The others want to celebrate.”
Sanji takes his hand, and they walk off to the rest of their lives together.

Thank youu<3 I’ve been enjoying it, tho I’m slowly getting sadder now that it’s almost over lol
Ahora quiero ver ese video🧍🏽‍♀️JAJAJAJAJA but it’s okay that happens to me too, I’ll see if I can search it and find it LOL
No yeah Nolan’s story was pretty good I just didn’t want the details, the summary was enough and can be enough for many other flashbacks, pero pues, ¿quién soy yo para juzgar? JAJAJAJA I’m also very excited bc now I’m really curious about Sanji’s backstory AND Luffy’s family tree porque estos primeros episodios de Post-Enies Lobby arc me dejó confundida🧍🏽‍♀️ LMAO
SKIP SKYPIEA??? BUT THE COMEDY IS AMAZING?? Maybe it’s bc I watched it in 1.5x speed but I felt like that arc had a decent story and pace, great comedy and interesting enemies!! ALSO SAMEEEEE, I find weird watching things dubbed unless I did it when I was a child, that’s why I’m always team subtitles and lowkey side eye people who say it’s impossible to watch things with subtitles LMAO
They get carried away?? (sinceramente me tomé un buen tiempo tratando de pensar en la traducción y tampoco me acuerdo) but yes you’re right, I also feel like they take too much time sometimes lol ALSO JAJAJAJA when I saw kaku I got to confess I was like “why he kinda…” BUT IM GLAD IM NOT THE ONLY ONE JAJAJAJAJ, I felt pretty sad that he turned out to be a bad guy but it’s okay I believe he could’ve been good in other circumstances 😔🙏🏽
NI YO TENGO POR ESO ME LO HICE JAJAJAJAJAJA but thank you hehe<3 I hope that if you get it your healing process goes by smoothly!!
Y graciaaaas, espero que también pases un buen tiempo en estas fiestas, even tho the year or past years could’ve been pretty dull or overwhelming, I hope next year is full of (small or big) moments that make you smile or feel excited or happy about it even if it’s just for that moment c: *sending you a new year’s hug🫂 *
i love knowing the backstories of the characters but unless they're the strawhats/strawhats adjacent they could reaaaaally speed it up or give us a shorter version LMAO pero también, quién soy yo para juzgar AJAJAJJ luffy's family tree is a disaster but also a mystery there is not a single normal person in that family and honestly? we love them for it
NO I KNOW like was it a bit slow? yeah but that's like, all of one piece LMAO the arc after ennies lobby, thriller bark is also very disliked and when i found that out i was soooo confused because it's one of my faves? it's so funny but it has so many important moments and people are like "nah you can skip it" NO YOU CAN'T justice for thriller bark.
SKHDGL no but i do think that being able to read things with subtitles it's a uuuuh trained ability in a way (y no es por ser hater pero todos sabemos q los gringos no ven cosas si no es en su idioma y cómo se van a acostumbrar a ver cosas con subtítulos así, pero hoy no es el día de hablar mierda contra los estado unidenses AJAJAJ)
LMAOO NOT THE WHY HE KINDA but yeah kaku in another universe i know you would've been my n°2 (only 2 because so sorry no one is surpassing sanji any time soon)
tu 🤝 yo: cero control sobre nuestros impulsos JAJAAJJ and god i hope so because the healing process for the last two i got was... something. truly the only thing that is making me debate if i wanna get another one or not (lo haré pero lloraré antes de AJJAJ)
y si lloró 🥺🥺 no but i wish the same for you, hopefully it'll be a calm year for our minds, sending a bigger hug your way <333
literal peleando pa poder mostrarte el video más estúpido AJAJAJ

set up ~ trafalgar law x monkey d. luffy
2,000 words | lawlu & zosan
a/n: my first character x character for one piece! @ithinkabout-onepiece-alot i hope i did your request justice!!
masterlist
Tumblr media
He should be elated. He should be relieved. He should be a lot of things, but Trafalgar Law is only one; confused.
Kadio was defeated. Big Mama was out of the picture. Yes, they had lost many good men, but the Land of Wano was free and he could finally return to his voyage across the Grand Line.
So why was he not as happy as everyone else?
“I’m hungryyyyyy!”
Oh right. That’s why.
Law never expected to join an alliance, let alone with the idiot he watched punch the shit out of a Celestial Dragon. But here he was months later, celebrating the liberation of a country and simultaneous defeat of two Yonkos.
Law will be honest, he only planned to use Straw Hat for his own gain.
Mugiwara-ya was foolish enough to start a war with the World Government, which made him an easy target to rope into Law’s personal conflict with Doflamingo. A fight Law hadn’t expected himself to even come out of alive. But Luffy had helped him defy all odds and bring justice for the man who saved him all those years ago.
And it was as if he was saved again.
Law was ready to die, throw away everything even for the smallest chance to avenge Rosinante. He truly had no self-preservation, not a care that his crew would be captain-less, that he wouldn’t find a cure for Amber Lead Syndrome, that he would never see the One Piece.
But Luffy gave him that back, the chance to do and see any of those things through the end. The strangest part was that Law didn’t feel any excitement because of it. Yeah, they were dreams of his, but they were always so intangible, always fell below something else. Like he knew they wouldn’t actually be achieved, but now that he has the chance?
He still couldn’t say they were his top priority. It was like something else had taken that spot.
Or someone.
“You know, I could put in a good word for you.”
Law is pulled from his thought, searching for the voice he was unsure that was even directed to him. But sure enough, there was Zoro smirking in Law’s direction.
Law feels himself flush slightly, having been caught so openly starring at the fellow captain. Pulling the brim of his hat down slightly and turns away, “What are you talking about, Zoro-ya?”
“I’m just saying.” Zoro shrugs, “I’m his first mate, he trusts my word.”
Law doesn’t answer, can’t answer. Because he wouldn’t even know what to ask for. Instead he scoffs and goes to see if Tony-ya needs any assistance.
“You’re too blunt.”
“Excuse me?” Zoro snaps, glaring at the cook who is leaning against the deck’s railing.
“That’ll work for Luffy, but Trafalgar needs a more complex approach.”
Zoro crosses his arms, “Worked for you, didn’t it?” And he enjoys the way Sanji flushes under his gaze, stammering about needing to start dinner and that marimo doesn’t even know what he’s talking about.
.
“Yamato, you’re going to love being on the crew!”
Law watches the man fawn over Luffy’s offer, clear joy on his face to be invited to join such a family.
It makes Law angry. No.
Jealous?
Sanji falls into the seat beside him, glass of wine in hand, “Not often someone willing chooses to join up.” Law looks at him in interest but says nothing and Sanji shrugs, “It’s more of an unacceptable fate. Once he decides you’re in, that’s it.”
Law glances back at Luffy who’s now trying to get Yamato to imitate his expression with Nose-ya and Tony-ya, all of who have chopsticks shoved up their noses.
“I’d doubt that he’ll even let you and Eustass go.”
Law doesn’t even get a chance to respond before Blackleg-ya wanders off. Interestingly enough, to be followed by Zoro-ya.
Law frowns.
.
“A feast?” Luffy’s eyes widen and mouth water at the thought of Sanji’s cooking.
“Of course.” Sanji lights the cigarette between his lips, quickly meeting the stare of the swordsman across the deck, “With everyone, tonight.”
“I can’t wait!” Luffy bounds on his feet, “Will you make the fish thing from that one time? Not the one with the bread though! Tora-o doesn’t like bread.”
Sanji smiles knowingly, “Whatever you want, captain.”
Luffy runs off, excited and looking forward to a feast with all of his favorite people.
“Think you can still handle the rest?” Sanji asks, so in tune with Zoro’s presence that he doesn’t even need to look over his shoulder to know he’s there.
He hears a scoff, “Think you can handle cooking dinner?”
Sanji turns with a fond smile on his face, “You’re lucky you’re cute, because your comebacks are shit.” And he revels in the blush that dusts across Zoro’s cheeks. Neither of them is good at accepting the other’s flirting.
Sanji presses a kiss to Zoro’s cheek who grumbles but accepts it, lacing their fingers together, “Let me cook you something since you won’t be eating dinner, yeah?”
.
Law is annoyed.
He couldn’t find his crew anywhere. Not on the beach. Not in the Polar Tang. Even his powers couldn’t sense them in the immediate area. So now he’s searching the Sunny, but it doesn’t seem to be with any luck.
“Tora-o! Up here! Tora-ooo!” Luffy is waving at him from the upper deck, a chunk of meat in his hand.
“Mugiwara-ya, have you seen-”
“Hurry up Tora-o! Before it gets cold!” Luffy yells, head disappearing back behind the railing.
Law rolls his eyes, but still makes his way to the upper deck. The smell of fine cooking wafts through the air, which could only mean Blackleg-ya had prepared dinner.
“Tora-o! You’re the first one here!” Luffy is sitting at a small table, piled high with enough food to feed the alliance three times over. There’s only one open chair across from where Luffy is already devouring an entire platter, “Sanji already set out all the food!”
One by one the gears click in Law’s head.
The missing crew.
The table for two.
The cook and swordsman.
He’s been set up.
But it’s obvious Mugiwara-ya can’t see that.
Law can feel his fist clench into fists and he’s sure a vein is prominent on his forehead, but he’s more focused on finding his sword and hunting down-
“I asked Sanji to make fish without the breading!” Luffy says between bites, “I know how much you don’t like bread.”
He’s a doctor, so he knows it’s impossible, but Law really thinks for a moment his heart might burst from the wide smile that’s on Mugiwara-ya’s face.
“Well? Are you gonna eat with me?”
Law awkwardly takes a seat, unsure what to do with himself. It’s for the first time he realizes he hasn’t actually spent that much time alone with Luffy.
Luckily Luffy is good at filling the silence. And all Law needs to do is nod along at the right place, pass the food when asked, and hope he doesn’t make too much of a fool of himself.
“Ahh!” Luffy sighs, falling back against his chair with a full stomach, “It’s too bad no one else showed up.”
“But then you would have had to share the food.” Law says, eyeing the empty plates.
“Shi shi shi! You’re funny Tora-o. But still,” Luffy leans against his hand with a pout on his lips, “I thought this was gonna be our goodbye feast.”
A chill runs down Law’s spine, “Goodbye feast?”
“Well yeah! Sanji always makes a big feast before we leave an island. But I guess this means he’ll just have to make another for everyone else! Shi shi shi!”
“Right.” Law trails off, staring at the ocean so he doesn’t have to see how casual Luffy is thinking about them parting ways.
“What’s wrong, Tora-o? Do you not like Sanji’s cooking?”
“What if I don’t want to say goodbye?” Law rushes out in a single breath, eyes flicking nervously to Luffy.
Luffy cocks his head, “Well you can’t come with me. We can’t have two captains.”
Law refrains from pinching his nose but can’t help the irritated sigh that leaves his lips, “I just- I like you, Luffy.”
“Shi shi shi! I don’t think I’ve ever heard you say my name! I like you too, Law.”
Law feels his breath catch in his throat. Luffy is looking at him with that grin so wide he has to squint his eyes and it’s making Law feel all warm inside. God, if Corazon could see him now.
“Why else would I join your alliance?”
And just as suddenly it’s ripped out from under him. He’s just able to hide the crestfallen look that settles on his face by jumping to his feet, turning away, and is ready to shambles straight to the Polar Tang and never come out again.
“Tora-o!” Arms wrap around his shoulders and almost falls face first when Luffy collides into his back, “Where you off to?”
“Let go of me Mugiwara-ya.” He grits out between clenched teeth.
“Aww, I liked when you called me Luffy.” He smushes his face against Law’s cheek, “Say it again, Tora-o.”
Law feels his stomach swoop again, and he’s too confused with his thoughts and Luffy’s body pressed against him to think straight.
“Shambles.” Law replaces himself with a chair that Luffy is now clutching too.
“Hey!”
“Do you even know what I mean when I say I like you?”
Luffy shrugs, “Well sure, that you like me.”
“For fuck’s sake, Mugiwara-ya.” Law hisses, rubbing a hand down his face, “You drive me crazy with everything you do, but I can’t stop thinking about you.” He stomps up to Luffy, grabbing him by the collar of his shirt, pulling him to face level, “And I don’t want this alliance to end if it means I won’t be able to see you anymore.”
And with that he harshly presses his lips to Luffy’s, eyes screwed shut. Luffy’s lips are dry, and he can taste the food from dinner. But it’s perfect, everything Law imagined and more.
Law pulls back, panting harshly from having spilled his guts and the dramatic kiss. And then it hits him what the hell he just did, horror dawning on his face. Law’s fingers loosen and he drops Luffy back to his feet, “I- I didn’t, I’m-”
“Shi shi shi!” Luffy clutches his stomach with laughter, “Tora-o, if you wanted a kiss, all you had to do is ask.” Luffy wraps his arms several times around Law, slamming his body to against Law’s chest.
“Oh.”
Luffy looks up at him with a smile, “What did you think I meant when I said I like you?”
.
“Was the rope necessary?”
Zoro looks over his shoulder, “I told you I would handle it, it’s handled.”
Sanji sighs, feeling sorry for the Heart Pirates and Straw Hats that were all knocked out and tied up on the floor of the crow’s nest. He had given Zoro the simple task of distracting everyone for a few hours to allow their captains time to enjoy dinner.
But this is definitely not what he had in mind.
“And look, it worked.” Zoro says smugly, looking down at the two figures leaning against each other near the ship’s railing.
Sanji joins Zoro at the window, “Huh, I suppose it did.”
“What, you didn’t think we could do it?”
Sanji pulls a cigarette out from his pocket, “Didn’t think it would be this quick.”
“Well not everyone is as dense as you were.” Zoro plucks the cigarette from his lips before it can be lit, “You know I don’t like when you do that.”
Sanji scoffs, “As if you were any better.” Trying to reach for the cigarette Zoro holds above his head, who uses the opportunity to pull Sanji flush against his body with a smirk on his lips.
Sanji rolls his eyes, leaning his head in the crook of Zoro’s neck, knowing defeat when he sees it.
However, their moment is broken when the sound of groaning fills the room.
“You gonna deal with that?” Sanji mumbles against Zoro’s skin. But Zoro just shushes Sanji, engulfing him in a hug and basking in the moonlight that shines down on both couples.

The Voyage So Far: Paramount War (Part Two)
east blue (1 | 2) || alabasta (1 | 2) || skypiea || water 7 || enies lobby || thriller bark || paramount war (1 | 2) || fishman island || punk hazard || dressrosa (1 | 2) || whole cake island || wano (1 | 2)
Tumblr media
ace’s execution is, in a way, the exception that proves the rule when it comes to one piece’s themes of blood and family. ace is set up to die for the crimes of a father he never knew and never wanted, and he does die here, but in the end he dies for the family he did choose, in the form of luffy, rather than the one he didn’t.
Tumblr media
god do i wish we knew more about ms portgas d. rouge. with ace’s storyline pretty much wrapped it looks unlikely that we’re going to be learning more about her than what we got, which in my opinion is an absolute tragedy, because what little we do know about her is amazing and she’s an absolute badass. oda give us more female ds please.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
whitebeard’s power is so cool. it might be one of the visually coolest devil fruits we’ve ever seen, in my opinion. he he causes earthquakes and tsunamis while far past his prime; he pulls the sky apart with his bare hands. this whole arc is world-shaking, and whitebeard’s power is perfectly appropriate for it.
Tumblr media
doflamingo’s speech on justice and rightness is one of the most well-remembered quotes from this whole saga, and rightly so. i’ve always found it fascinating, myself, because he’s right. he dead-on hits how the one piece world works- the world government and the marines rule the world not because of any inherent actual goodness or justice or right, but because they won a war a very long time ago.
in a way, this reminds me of blackbeard’s line of “people’s dreams never die” from jaya. i like how oda isn’t afraid of letting his villains be right about the themes of the story, sometimes even having better awareness of them than the protagonists.
Tumblr media
man, if i had to pick a single favorite spread out of the whole manga, it might be luffy’s marineford entrance. it’s so epic, and so completely unexpected for everyone else there. absolutely nobody was expecting strawhat luffy to drop out of the sky with a posse including two former warlords. it just makes me grin!! so much!!
it also gets followed up by a solid two pages of just people’s reactions, from smoker’s “what the HELL is he doing with CROCODILE” to moria’s immediate incoherent rage, and i just love that the world and cast of one piece is so well-established and built up that we know exactly how all of those people know luffy and why they react the way they do.
Tumblr media
going back to what i mentioned in the last post about marineford being luffy’s conflict of interest arc, i’d say it’s also the only time where he isn’t the future king first and foremost. in this arc, before anything else, he’s a little brother.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
there are a lot of what-if moments in marineford. moments where you kind of have to ask “what if this specific thing hadn’t happened, had gone differently?” would things have turned out differently? squard’s betrayal is one of them. does this change the outcome? would whitebeard have been able to survive if not for this injury? there’s no way to know. marineford is a lot of little tragedies, and they just pile up and up.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
marineford has just so many incredibly striking spreads. all of the momentous moments (and there’s a lot of them, in this arc) are done full justice. this is such an image heavy post just because marineford is such an incredibly visually strong arc.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
conqueror’s haki is so cool and i love the way it’s set up and built up throughout this saga, with luffy’s constant inadvertent uses of it, from duval’s bull to marigold and sandersonia to the wolves in impel down, all leading up to this moment.
i’ve heard people complain about conqueror’s as kind of a deus ex machina, but i honestly love it, it’s very cool and honestly i think it just seems to fit luffy as a power. if there was ever gonna be a character who turned willpower into a weapon, it would be monkey d. luffy.
Tumblr media
i’m gonna take this chance to talk about garp, because this sequence of panels is heavily implied to be garp’s thoughts just before luffy punches him down, and it hurts. garp is a flawed person who makes some bad choices, and there’s no arguing that, but i think it’s very obvious he really, really cares about his grandsons, even if he never could understand them as people and that they never would have been happy as marines. and that’s just tragic, really.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the moment ace gets freed and the brief span of time where he and luffy can fight together feel so triumphant, and i think it’s one of the reasons the final tragedy of marineford hits so hard and feels so cruel, because luffy succeeds, here. he saves ace. he gives absolutely everything he had and makes it, and saves ace. the ultimate failure isn’t his. there was nothing more he could have done.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the first time i was reading one piece, i hit this page (which is also the last in the volume) and had to put the book away, take the bus downtown, wander around for a few hours, and buy myself some candy and some new books before i started feeling okay again.
Tumblr media
the thing about ace’s death, i think, is that it’s a tragedy, but it also feels so completely essential to the story going forwards and luffy’s character growth specifically that it’s really, really hard to imagine one piece without it. there are a lot of (really excellent!) fix-fics out there for marineford, and although those are often really good and their authors super talented, i think it’s really hard for them to ever hit the same way canon does with regards to this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i always think of this scene specifically in contrast to zoro and mihawk’s fight, back on baratie. zoro and mihawk are both people who believe in honor in battle, true victory or death, and that’s reflected in their fight, in zoro’s refusal to turn and run even in the face of imminent death, and mihawk’s respect for that resolve. whitebeard, too, is an honorable man. he refuses to turn to run, even when facing certain death.
the blackbeard pirates, however, are not.
Tumblr media
i do enjoy how, just like roger’s, ace’s execution backfires tremendously on the marines. this was entirely a predictable outcome, too! this exact thing happened twenty years ago! the marines don’t learn. they don’t change. they’re so assured of their own rightness and power that they make stupid mistakes like holding a massive public execution after the last one blew up in their faces.
(this is why they need coby so badly, for the record, and why it’s important that he still decides to become a marine after witnessing their corruption firsthand in shells town. the marines are long overdue for a reformation, one that orients them towards real justice.)
Tumblr media
i really, really enjoy crocodile in this saga. mostly because he hasn’t been redeemed at all, he’s still pretty much the exact same kinda awful person he was in alabasta, he’s just on luffy’s side this time, and it lets us see him in a better light, when he gets angry at whitebeard for nearly dying or when he helps luffy and jinbe escape to keep the marines from getting their way. few of one piece’s characters are truly so one-dimensional as they can seem, and i really appreciate that.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i really really love all the interactions between luffy, ace and sabo as kids. they’re so fun and bounce off of each other so well. even though we only see them together for a brief time, they really feel like siblings. (which of course only makes later events hurt so much more.
Tumblr media
i’ve always been a little fascinated by the fact that it takes us this long to get luffy’s full backstory. it’s almost a fakeout, because we get part of his backstory in the very first chapter, and we’re kind of led to believe that’s all there is. it’s not until ace’s introduction nearly two hundred chapters in that we’re given any indication there’s more.
but at the same time, it makes sense. marineford is luffy’s focus arc, as arlong park to nami or thriller bark to brook. he hasn’t had a focal arc that’s really about him before this, while all his other crewmates have. it makes sense that this would be when he finally gets his flashback.
Tumblr media
i think it’s cool that dragon and the revolutionaries show up at the grey terminal fire, because it’s one of the only looks we’ve gotten so far into what their actual regular operations are like. and, of course, they’re saving people. i really like this about the revolutionaries, that helping people in trouble is basically their modus operandi, when pretty much everyone else in one piece’s world mostly does saving on an incidental basis if at all.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i think a lot about how the last line of sabo’s letter to ace is also both of their last words to the strawhats.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
death in one piece always feels much realer and more impactful to me than in most other series, and i think this is part of the reason why: in one piece, we are always shown the mourning. nami at bellemere’s grave, carrot grieving pedro, ace and whitebeard’s funeral.
there are fewer deaths, comparatively, than most other series, but they’re given so much room to echo. we’re still feeling the impacts of ace’s life and death in the most recent chapters of wano. it ties into the theme of inherited will and all the way back to hiriluk’s final speech, of men not being dead so long as they’re remembered.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the picture of luffy at marineford always kind of strikes me. he looks so young and so solemn, and yet much more himself than he did when we last saw him losing his mind on amazon lily. i really like it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
sometimes i just think about the sheer depth of trust and love the strawhats must have in each other to separate for two years, far longer than they were ever together, to solely dedicate themselves to improving for the sake of crew and captain. none of them even hesitate, and none of them ever doubt that the crew will be reformed at the end of it.
after all, luffy keeps his promises.

Hi 💕💕 I'm recently into one piece too and I'm enjoying it a lot. Could I request for Zoro with s/o who's really sweet and polite, but she handles a lot of emotions and doesn't want to disturb anyone, and have a sudden breakdown because of it. Sorry if it's too specific idk how to express the idea 🥺 I'm looking forward to see your writing 💕 thank uuu
hi! first off, i am very sorry that it took so long for me to get this out but this last weekend was so much busier than i expected! second off, this is my first time writing for zoro and i am VERY excited because he’s easily my favorite one piece character so far! i really hope i did him justice <3
as i’m just starting writing for one piece and i’ve never written for an anime before, i’m open to any and all constructive criticism but pls don’t be mean bc i am truly so sorry if this sucks
Tumblr media
-you were a people pleaser by nature. you wanted everyone to be happy all the time, even if it meant sacrificing taking care of yourself to take care of them.
-zoro had known that about you pretty much from the moment he met you. truthfully, he loved how much you cared for other people, but he also worried that you weren’t taking care of yourself in your attempts to make sure everyone else was okay
-he knew you tended to bottle up everything so as not to disrupt anyone else’s day by talking to them about it
-he desperately wanted to help you, but he wasn’t totally sure how to. he would hold you at night and assure you that he was there to help you like you help everyone else, but this is who you had always been and it wasn’t easy to change it.
-at this particular point in time, it felt like everyone around you was having some very strong emotions. anger, sadness, fear -- whatever it was, they were all struggling and, as always, you ended up being the comfort for everyone.
-(you had this natural calming, nurturing vibe about you that just made people want to turn to you when things got hard, and you really didn’t mind it usually, but things were getting really hard right now.)
-nami was venting to you about something or another. you tried really hard to listen, but your head was starting to pound with the stress of having everyone’s burdens on your shoulders, and it was getting hard for you to follow the intricacies of her story. all you could do was nod and give some quiet verbal acknowledgements to encourage her to keep talking, but if she had asked you a question, you were so fucked because you weren’t tracking with her
-once she finally finished venting, she hugged you, and then left because luffy and usopp were causing a commotion out on the deck, leaving you down below deck sitting with your head in your hands
-it was getting dark outside, and your head hurt, and you were so overwhelmed with everything. you considered getting zoro because really all you needed was someone to come sit with you for a minute, but he was in the middle of his training and you didn’t want to interrupt him (despite the fact that he’d told you countless times before that he didn’t mind you interrupting him if you needed him)
-so instead, you sat for you don’t know how long, trying to gather yourself when really you felt like you were going to explode if you didn’t somehow let some of this out. the emotions were flooding you, and you needed some outlet or else you were going to drown in it. you just knew it.
-before you could think about that anymore, zoro finally came looking for you.
-”(y/n?)” he asked as he walked in, shutting the door behind him quietly once he saw you there. you didn’t even look up at him as he walked in, and you definitely didn’t speak. if you did, you would start crying, so you kept your jaw clenched tight
-he came and kneeled down in front of you in an effort to get you to look at him, taking your hands into his. he was still sweaty and shirtless from his workout, but it didn’t bother you any. “(y/n),” he repeated, and you finally glanced at him just long enough to see the worried look on his face, then you squeezed your eyes shut
-”don’t look at me like that,” you mumbled. after you spoke, you sniffled once, still trying your hardest to keep it all in. you didn’t want to break down now. that wasn’t who you were. you were the strong one who was there for everyone else, not the one who cried alone.
“what’s going on?” he asked, still not looking away from you. you shook your head. “are you okay?” he asked, and -- of course -- that was what did it. you didn’t even have it in you to answer. all you could do was cry.
-you weren’t totally sure how that one question could send you over the edge so easily, but it did. you sobbed hard, harder than you had in far too long.
-zoro didn’t hesitate to pull you into his arms, moving so that he was sitting on the bed and he could pull you into his lap to hold you better as you cried into his shoulder. he didn’t say anything, just rubbed his hand up and down your back and let you cry until you couldn’t cry anymore.
-then, once your tears stopped, he leaned back just a little until he could look at you and wipe away the last of them.
-you told him everything then, about how you’d gotten overwhelmed with everyone else’s burdens piling up along with your own negative feelings, and he listened to it all.
-after that night, he promised himself (and you, though he’d never actually said it out loud) that he wouldn’t let you get to that point again
-he started making more of an effort to make sure you were being taken care of. where you slacked, he would pick up. he wasn’t good with words, but he made it a point to show you every day that you weren’t in this alone and that you had someone in your corner with him
-long story short, zoro loves you very much and wishes you would take good care of yourself because yes, life is hard and feelings are A Lot, but you’re not alone <3

Zoro & Sandai Kitetsu
There is something that was bugging me about Zoro’s swords for a long time and now, the Wano arc helped put thoughts in proper perspective. Namely four out of five named katanas used by Roronoa are, in fact, a heirlooms; a burden of someone’s else dreams or ambition or honor that Zoro (consciously or not) carry on while Sandai Kitetsu is the only one sword truly and just his. Because the same as the sword was chosen by Zoro, Zoro himself was chosen by Kitetsu,
The best known Roronoa’s sword, Wado Ichimonji in fact belonged to Kuina who died the night after she and Zoro made a promise that one of them must become the world’s best swordsman. He begged Kuina’s father to gift him with her sword and to honor Kuina’s dream, he created an unique fighting style - Santoryu.
Tumblr media
Zoro could just replace one of his swords with Wado and yet Zoro’s fighting style is a fusion of his two-sword style trained since childhood and one-sword style used by Kuina. Which is his way to stay faithful to a promise made between them and maybe a promise between him and Kuina’s father too. That way Kuina - represented by Wado - gets stronger with each of Zoro’s fights and with him, one day will become the best swordmaster. Zoro has carried on her dream since childhood and in fact, their shared promise is both a great motivation AND burden. What was noted by Mihawk  (What burdens you so?) and something Zoro himself was well aware (“I may only have three swords, but the weight of our swords are completely different!“).
Wado is as much a memento of his deceased friend as much a burden to carry on alone. It’s Zoro’s most precious sword and at the same I think it will never truly belong to him. Wado was and always will be Kuina’s. He was not chosen by the great katana - he begged for that  sword and it was given to him by Kuina’s father. Because Zoro cared so much for their vow, when Koushirou dismissed Kuina’s dream when she was still alive. Koushirou granted the precious katana to a determined boy, so his daughter’s dream (and which it, a part of Kuina) could live on.
Wado is Zoro's most precious possession, but it is a “borrowed” katana that never truly was meant for him. It was Kuina who should carry on the white katana. Zoro only carried it in place of her, because she never had truly a chance to spread her wings. Thus, Wado is a memento, a shared dream, a burden and second chance (for Kuina, and maybe for Koushiro too).
Then we have YUBASHIRI, given to Zoro by Ipponmatsu in Loguetown
Tumblr media
Ipponmatsu freely gave Zoro this katana as an apology for looking down on him, once Roronoa proved how well skilled and strong willed swordsman he was by testing his luck against cursed blade. The given sword served him well, up until Enies Lobby, where Yubashiri was destroyed by marine captain Su, a man with devil fruit power of rusting.
Ipponmatsu did not tell Zoro that Yubashiri was in fact his own family heirloom - something pointed out by shop owner’s wife:
Tumblr media
but once questioned about the decision, Ipponmatsu asked back “what is wrong with a man entrusting his dream to another man?!”
Tumblr media
what implies that Yubashiri, like Wado, carried inside someone’s else unfulfilled dream of greatness.
In Thriller Bark, Yubashiri was buried alongside remains of Brook’s first nakama while its place was taken by SHUSUI.
Shusui was a black sword that belonged to legendary samurai, Ryuma. In Thriller Bark it was wielded by Ryuma’s zombie (with Brook’s shadow) and once Zoro saw the blade, he wanted it for himself, to replace destroyed Yubashiri and was willing to take it from the enemy's dead body. Though the fight was relatively short, Zoro’s skills were acknowledged by Ryuma and in result, Shusui was given to pirate.
Tumblr media
Zoro honored his opponent by taking sword and being willing to pretend the match never happened.
Tumblr media
Similar to Sandai Kitetsu, Zoro both chose a sword and was chosen (accepted) by the blade. But unlike Kitetsu, Shusui, as the most precious treasure of Wano country, couldn’t truly belong to him. The katana served its master well and Roronoa appreciated it very much, but since Dressrosa arc, he was constantly nagged by people of Wano to give it back. He didn’t care for their complaints and did not plan to do so, yet once asked by Kozuki Hiyori to return it to its rightful place, Zoro finally agreed. Because in the end he respected the dead swordmaster and how much the black sword meant to people of Wano. It was a sacred symbol, a heirloom of legendary samurai Ryuma while he was an outsider. Although Zoro proved his worth to Ryuma zombie, the sword (and Ryuma’s body) was stolen in the first place and Hiyori was willing to give up memento of her late father (personal treasure) for Shusui (a national relic). Such sacrifice proved how much Ryuma’s sword meant to people of Wano and Zoro, despite his claim, returned the black blade to where it belonged - asking only to let him visit Ryuma’s grave once the battle is over.
Shusui was another heirloom, a sword burdened by past and its meaning. It served Zoro well, but it couldn’t truly belong to him.
For returning Wano’s national treasure, Hiyori promised Zoro no less great katana - ENMA.
Tumblr media
A legendary sword given to Hiyori by her late father, Kozuki Oden that is said to be the only blade that even injured Kaido. A wonderful gift, but the same as previous swords, it is someone else's heirloom passed to Zoro. Another memento of a dead person. Another burden to carry on.
While Zoro trained with his new sword, Tenguyama Hitetsu (the creator of Sandai Kitetsu) told him the story behind Enma - Oden’s sword and Kuina’s Wado were birthed by the same man, Shimotsuki Kozaburo. Who, ironically, is Kuina’s grandfather according to SBS. What Zoro may have known now, since he did met Kozaburo as a child.
Tumblr media
Anyway, Hitetsu assumed that Hiyori perhaps recognized Wado and because of that offered Zoro her heirloom as a replacement for Shusui. I personally think the reason was more selfish than that. Once Zoro saved her, Hiyori said there was a prophecy that “in time of the resurgence of the Kozuki line, strong, kind samurai from across the seas would come to our aid” and Zoro fits perfectly. Even more, since Zoro’s hometown, the Shimotsuki Village is in fact strongly connected to Wano by Kozaburo no less.
Tumblr media
Hiyori, as Oden’s daughter, wants Wano to be a free, safe country again but for this to happen, Kaido must be defeated first. Zoro already proved to be a reliable ally. He came To Wano with her missing brother and Kinemon. He saved her and Toko from Orochi’s assassin and later, from enemy attack once the fight broke out after Yasuie’s death. He is strong (something she saw for herself) and to some degree has the samurai feeling about himself.
Above everything else, Zoro will fight in the upcoming war against Kaido for the Kozuki clan even though he (like all Straw Hats) has no real obligation to her family. Whether she believed in prophecy or not, by passing to Zoro her family heirloom, Hiyori burdened him with her hopes and dreams for victory and justice for her murdered parents and for Wano country as a whole. She gave an outsider Oden's precious sword that can injure Kaido and by that, placed faith in Zoro. She can’t use the sword, she can’t fight in battle, but Zoro will carry on Oden’s (and her) wish to protect Wano into battle.
Was Zoro aware of such a possible burden? Who knows. Still, he accepted the blade despite its dangerous nature - and any eventual burden (someone else’s unfilled dreams and hopes) to carry on.
Frankly, Enma and Sandai Kitetsu have a lot in common. Both are dangerous blades that drive weak swordsmen into madness and/or ultimately lead to their death. Both need to be tamed. And Zoro likes them very much, despite warnings of other people. Even manga presents their “introduction” as accepted and appreciated swords by Roronoa in similar way:
Tumblr media
Yet there are two major differences between Kitetsu and Enma, what also are true for the three previous swords too.
First, already mentioned and explained the matter of heirloom and connected to that “burden” Zoro carries on alongside. In the case of Enma, once the battle is over and Wano saved, all the faith and hopes put in Zoro by Kozuki Hiyori through the Enma should not burden him anymore. Yet since Hiyori entrusted him the memento of her father, Roronoa will need to make sure to never bring shame to her (and by extension, the Kozuki clan) in later adventures & fights he will face one day. But frankly, this is the same with all of his swords bestowed to him by people who were important to him or which he shared mutual respect. It is strictly connected at core to sword fighting philosophy; to be worth of great blade.
Secondly, Wado Ichimonji, Yubashiri, Shusui and Enma, all those swords are desired and appreciated by swordsmen all over the world while Kitetsu, as a cursed blade, was not wanted. Kitetsu was feared by people, put in barrels between low quality swords in hopes to get rid of it. Even sword maniac like Tashigi, once learning the truth about the katana, did not want that blade despite its high grade and low price on it. She was even sorry for insisting previously Zoro should take it. Kitetsu drove previous owners into horrible deaths to the point “you will not find a swordsmen who’d dare to use a Kitetsu these days”:
Tumblr media
Zoro felt that the sword was cursed, before Ipponmatsu had a chance to explain why Kitetsu had such a low price on it. And after learning the horrible truth, he decided to take the blade. The unwanted, bloodthirsty, cursed blade that brings madness and death because no one else would dare to use it. Zoro liked the challenge. Oh, he liked it so much he decided to test his luck (fate) against the curse of Kitetsu, putting his swordmaster future at stake.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The same as Zoro chose Kitetsu, the sword chose him. Like Ipponmatsu said, the sword chooses its owner. And yes, Zoro wanted to have Wado and Shusui but these blades were heirlooms burdened with someone’s dreams and greatness while Kitetsu was the unwanted, dangerous blade with a horrible past that Zoro faced only with his own strong will. No hidden promises to carry on, no ambitions or honor or hopes passed on him by previous owners. No legendary status to live up. Like Wado. Like Shusui. Like Yubashiri. Like Enma.
Sandai Kitetsu is this wild, bloodthirsty sword that was challenged by Zoro and decided to spare this insane man who looked at it, felt the cursed nature and did not throw it away but appreciated it. Something that, I imagine, didn’t happen in years. And there is very strong bond between Roronoa and Kitetsu, because Zoro always can tell apart the cursed blade from other swords
Tumblr media
and he kept Kitetsu usually in left (dominant) hand during fight. All those little details give the impression Kitetsu is much more spiritually connected to Zoro’s core than Wado.
In short, Sandai Kitetsu was the only masterless sword Zoro picked solely by and for himself that did not burden him with sentiments, past promises or hopes. And though the sword was “problematic child”, its demonic nature seems to suit Zoro’s own very well.

Heyooo!!! May I request headcanons of kid, Zoro, Law and Sabo with a fem! S/O that has cursed flower in her right eye? When she was a teenager, a flower grows out her eye in middle in midnight. Of course she wakes up of that and it hurts. Now she's adult sometimes still hurts. While past years of searching she only found out it was cursed. She has tried out to pull it out, even if in a very painfully way. She can sword fight. What couple years ago... Before she met the boys (seperately) she was killed in Battlefield and lose her arm... But before she dies suddenly the flower grows bigger and BIGGER and turns black and for her it really hurts. Then her body goes suddenly through the flower. Her arm is regenerate (in other words, her arm is grown back.) She's all under blood. Yeah it's kinda dark. (It's from a game but with few changes in my request.) But sometimes she feel like that the flower won't allow her to die. Like the flower live. And for some reason the feeling she feels is bad. And the flower gives her superhuman skills and expert swordman ship. So yeah. That was my request.
Heyya!🍀 Hope you are doing well and I'm terribly sorry for the long wait on this, I hope I did your request justice and hope you enjoy~
(Female pronouns)
Headcanons: Kid, Zoro, Law, Sabo x F! S/O who has a cursed flower in her right eye
Tumblr media
Eustass Kid
🛠Kid never understood the idea of {Name's] curse, but could understand for her own reasons she had a desire to keep her eye hidden. When asked if whether by injury, or fashion choice, {Name} had simply replied with the answer “Its cursed”
🛠{Name} has tried to explain it in a very simple way, so that Kid could follow and understand the meaning, describing the events that happened when she was a child to be inexplicable. One minute she was asleep, the next she was writhing in an unbearable pain with something sprouting out of her eye.
🛠Kid never really believed in curses and the like so when he first heard it, he was a bit sceptical. Finding it something along the lines of unbelievable, until he witnessed first hand the results of that cursed flower.
🛠Though sometimes his words might be translated as abrasive, he feels extreme concern especially when {Name} complains about feeling pain in her eye, knowing the result may not always be positive.
🛠In quite a few ways Kid still has some confusion as to how exactly her cursed flower is actually bad, considering that it has given her immense, superhuman strength, healing capabilities and even amazing swordsmanship that could even rival Mihawk's.
🛠Kid's confusion is answered when he watches {Name} surviving the most trying of situations, almost as if she were immortal which only serves to drive more fear into her heart. Out of the belief that the flower will not let her die.
🛠One of the most frightening things that has truly shaken Kid was the time he had witnessed his partner attempting to pull the cursed flower from her eye, out of fear and worry. Just wanting to be rid of the curse when it only sought to cause more damage than good.
Tumblr media
Roronoa Zoro
⚔ Zoro was instantly captured by the sight of {Name}, but mostly by her swordsmanship which presented quite an interesting challenge. Which Zoro was looking forward to testing.
⚔When Zoro first found out about {Name's} cursed flower he was surprised, but not shocked considering all the things he had already seen and experienced in the Grandline thus far. A cursed flower sprouting from someone's eye was not as surprising to him as it would have been to a regular individual.
⚔Although Zoro always drops everything whenever he sees {Name} in pain. Mostly coming from the source of all of her troubles. Zoro sometimes grows frustrated since he does not know how to help.
⚔It was always difficult for Zoro to truly see it as a curse when he saw everything that came with it, honestly just believing that it might have been the fair exchange for strength. Which was often annoying for {Name} when Zoro tried to convince her otherwise (Please don't hate the poor Marimo he is just trying to make the best of a bad situation)
⚔When {Name} finally explained the source of her concerns in the form of an old story, explaining to Zoro when she had nearly died, and even had lost her arm...the flower sprouted bigger and bigger until it had bloomed. Her body regrew it's missing limbs and repaired the damage... not for the sake of her life, but for the preservation of the flower. It was then she had realized, it refused to let her die.
⚔When {Name} had finally had enough she asked Zoro to help her pull it out, which he refused. Noting back to a time he had seen her try before and the damage it had done. Zoro reassured {Name} that he would try find an alternative way to get rid of the flower.
Tumblr media
Trafalgar Law
🍄Always starts with fascination and a touch of curiosity, which was the impression {Name} had left on Law, it kept him guessing and wanting to know more. With the sneaking suspicion that {Name} was hiding something of great interest.
🍄When Law found out about the cursed flower he took a very scholarly interest in it, almost as if it was something he could discover and learn about as a doctor. Law spent hours, maybe even days looking at it, studying the so called cursed flower for any hint of what exactly it was and where it came from.
🍄Both as a doctor and as her partner, Law always tried his hardest to comfort her when [Name] would feel that horrible pain grow in her eye, caused by the flower. Especially when he noticed how anxious she would be thinking the pain might cause something.
🍄Despite it being a curse, Law still found the aspect such as the healing to be absolutely fascinating and proposed the idea of attempting to kill the flower while keeping those healing properties for his partner, as well as the considerably good things that came from the curse.
🍄Law saw it first hand, the reasoning behind {Name's} worry, especially when she stated the flower would never let her die, no matter the price or the toll it imposes on her body.
🍄Law constantly tries to find ways to help {Name} and attempting to find the safest way to remove the flower, since he had attempted to use his Room abilities, only for the flower to grow back no matter how many times he had cut it off.
Tumblr media
Sabo
🎩Sabo always attempts to lighten the mood with a little light hearted banter, maybe a kiss or two, and other sweet gestures. Although a gesture he has never even attempted was giving {Name} a flower, thinking that it might do a tad more harm than good.
🎩Was a bit hesitant to ask {Name} about the reason why she keeps her right eye hidden, considering the possibility that like him, she was hiding a scar that came with an unpleasant memory she didn't want to resurface. Upon the discovery that it was not a scar, but she had in fact hidden what {Name} described as a cursed flower. Sabo was completely surprised.
🎩{Name} was often caught off guard by a sudden and sharp pain that would originate from her right eye sometimes rendering her a little bit incapacitated from the sheer amount of pain. Whenever Sabo saw it he could only comfort her, seeing as the doctors and medication could never offer any help or relief from the pain.
🎩One of the most notable traits about {Name} was her amazing talent for swordsmanship and her strength surpassing that of most normal people, which did give {Name} a bit of confidence but also some worry because she said when it came to the curse, there was a price to everything.
🎩Sabo agreed with {Name's} conclusion of the flower, it did appear to be parasitic and protective of her as a 'host' which could explain why she was given the swordsmanship and strength as well as the impossible healing. All but a means to an end, to protect the host for the parasite.
🎩Sabo still finds his partner constantly trying to find creative and new ways to get rid of the flower. Trying everything from medicine to weed killers, to trying to pull it out herself.

You opened the door with a loud sigh, today was one of those days where you just felt awful and just needed physical contact. Work had been awful the past couple of days and every day you felt more and more done with people, with work and with everything. If your boss ever asked you to do one week's worth of work in three days ever again you swore that you were going to punch her.
The noise of the TV reached your ears and the smell of a home cooked meal reached your nostrils. Law must be home, you thought, excitement starting to brew inside you. The three of you haven’t been spending much time together and frankly you missed them both. Law, sadly, was busy with multiple assignments, meaning that he basically passed out when he came home. The fact that he was actually up and cooking was a true miracle.
When you stepped into the living room you expected to see Zoro, but the couch was empty. Raising an eyebrow you head to the kitchen. Laughter reached your ears, and you peeked inside, the wall hiding your body.
Zoro was leaning against the counter with a beer in hand, his cheeks were uncharacteristically pink, Law on the other hand seemed more energetic than usual, mixing a salad and chatting away as he stood right across from the marimo. Curious about what they were going to do you continued to watch them, you felt like you were watching a documentary.
Zoro leaving the beer behind, came closer to Law. Licking his lips he leaned in and locked his lips with Law’s. The man seemed startled by this, the utensils slipping from his tattooed hands. Your mouth watered as you watched the two, Zoro greedily claiming Law’s lips as his own and the other surrendering completely. A soft moan was heard and you felt your insides starting to churn. A mix of jealousy and lust filled your brain and you pouted. When they finally parted with a string of saliva still connecting them, Zoro chuckled, the corner of his eyes fixated on the entrance.
“I know you’re there, you creep,” he called out, making you flinch “Just come out  instead of watching us like some porn.”
Of course that asshat knew, a blush starting to color your cheeks you took a step inside. Law genuinely seemed surprised as his golden eyes landed on you, his face lighting up with a bright smile.
“Y/n,” he said smiling. “Welcome home.”
“Welcome home to you as well,” you replied, throwing yourself into Zoro’s arms and burying your head into his chest. “I missed you both so much.” your voice came out muffled.
“What’s wrong?” Law asked, noticing your dropped mood instantly.
“Ahh, she’s been beat from work.” Zoro replied on behalf of you, his arms tightened around you as you nodded.
“I keep telling you that you should take a break. Call and say you’re sick.” he said, reaching out to grab a bottle of olive oil.
You shifted and turned, still nestled between Zoro’s strong arms, your back now firmly pressed against him the heat he radiated made you feel secure. You rolled your eyes at the soon to be surgeon.
“Says the man who passes out every time he comes home.”
“As you can see I’m home and I haven’t passed out.”
“...yet.” Zoro muttered, earning a giggle from you.
“You know what,” Law said, annoyed. “Lasagna for neither of you.”
“Noooo, I’m sorry…” you whined, your stomach growling along with you.
“I’m sorry too, please feed us.” Zoro continued.
Law chuckled and shook his head. Leaning towards you he gave you a small peck on the lips.
“Fine you can have some,” then his eyes landed on Zoro. “You on the other hand can’t have any.”
“You’re a dick.” he said as he grabbed your hand and started to pull you towards the living room.
“Where do you think you two are going?!” he exclaimed, pouring a bit of olive oil into the salad.
“We’re going to spend some time together so that y/n can cheer up.” Zoro replied with a smirk.
“I don’t think so. I haven’t spent any time with her” he said, and stomped towards you both.
Honestly you were happy at where you were, being sandwiched between the two while they bantered truly was fun. Shame they couldn’t see the simple answer to their problem.
“That’s not my fault .”
Their voices fainted away as you started to think more about where you were. Both of their warm bodies flushed against your own, you could basically feel every muscle and breath on you. You could feel yourself starting to get wet, needless to say you already felt quite horny since the moment you saw the two kissing, rubbing your thighs together you decide to enlighten them one of the biggest positives of being in a polyamorous relationship.
“You know,” you said and cut them off. Your voice was dripping with mischief. “We could...you know… spend time together?”
You snorted when they actually looked surprised by this revelation. You loved these dumbasses so much. Law was swift and didn’t hesitate when his hands dove under your shirt and started to travel along your body, his hands dipped into every crevice and squeezed your love handles. Already starting to feel flustered you leaned in to him, Zoro grunted and started to leave open mouthed kisses on your skin and traveled down to your neck. He nibbled and sucked on the soft skin, and earned a soft moan from you.
Not wanting to lose to Zoro Law started to kiss you as well, his hands traveling up to your big breasts, squeezing and massaging the soft mounds. Everytime their lips touched your burning skin, you moaned and your pulse quickened. İmpatient, Law stopped and pulled off your shirt, leaving your upper body completely naked in the middle of the kitchen. Zoro seemed to like this as he licked your neck, his tongue dancing along your skin, he dipped down and took your semi erect nipple into his burning mouth. You trembled slightly as his tongue rolled your nip and nibbled at it with his teeth. He grabbed your other breast, kneading the soft flesh, with his thumb and forefinger he started to pinch, pull and roll your nipple. Your moans gradually became louder.
Groaning, Law pulled you in for a kiss. Captivating your mouth he stuffed his tongue between your lips, usually you would challenge him but today you were more than willing to let him have his way. You closed your eyes, and with a wide open mouth he engulfed your lips, your nose smushed on the side of his cheek, he licked the inside of your mouth and sucked on your tongue. While you were occupied with the sensations of Zoro’s mouth on your nipple and Law devouring your mouth, you didn’t realize that the sneaky doctor’s hand had already unbuttoned your pants and snuck underneath your underwear.
A surprised muffled gasp left you as two fingers traced your labia and grazed against your clit. Freeing your lips Law licked the side of your face as he started to play with your clit, rubbing the sensitive nub with harsh and eager strokes. Being stimulated by both ends, your mind started to feel foggy from the pleasure. Law’s tongue was warm and wet against your skin, Zoro, contrasting  Law,  continued to softly squeeze your breast and suck on your now fully erect nipple.
Just as you were getting used to the feeling of Law torturing you by mercilessly by playing with your clit, he slid his fingers in to you with ease. It was kind of embarrassing how wet you were for them.
“God you’re so wet, you love having my fingers in you don’t you?”
You didn’t answer, when silence followed a harsh pain shot out from your breast, it made you jump and hiss in pain. You looked down to see Zoro staring up to you, his teeth feeling sharp against your skin.
“Answer him.” he growled, voice husky.
You blushed, having them work together was always such a turn on for you. Your legs twitching, you let out a shaky breath.
“I...I love having your fingers inside of me.” you spoke out, your voice strained.
“Good girl.” Law hummed. “You wanted this so bad, didn’t you? Wanted both of us to spoil you endlessly.”
You nodded, tears starting to sting the corner of your eyes, you felt overwhelmed by it all. Your body trembled and ached with desire. A desire that you were craving for so long.
With a sudden pull your head was thrown back, Law’s fingers tangled in your hair, he pulled you enough to expose your bare neck, a pained groan came from you. He ignored this and licked your neck which was followed by a sharp bite, he sucked on your flesh and you knew that he was marking you. Your inner walls clamped around his fingers as he went in deeper, curling and pressing his fingers into the spongy spot inside of you. Your whole body spasmed at the feeling.
“Hey,” you were barely able to hear Zoro’s voice. “Don’t be so rough with her.”
“She likes it,” Law replied, his breath ghosting over your neck. “She’s so wet right now.”
As if he wanted to prove his point Law’s fingers made a loud squelching sound as they moved in and out of you. The sound and sensation heightened your arousal, you felt yourself starting to move your hips, trying to be in sync with Law’s hand.  Your body burned hot, your pussy was slick with fluids, every time they touched you your desire amplified.
“Fuck, I can hear her.”
Your breasts felt cold when Zoro left them, he got on his knees and watched as Law’s fingers thrusted in and out of you. Your fluids trickled down your inner thighs, it was embarrassing how needy you were but you couldn’t help it. Law spread out your folds so that Zoro could take a better look, you could feel your hole twitching at his gaze.
“Want a taste?” Law cooed, edging Zoro on.
You wished you could see what was going on but Law was still firmly pulling your head back, your only view being the white ceiling. It was a tragedy that you couldn’t see. You felt a warm, wet muscle dance along your inner thighs, cleaning the remains of your juices. You felt Zoro’s hands grip the underside of your ass and squeeze as he traced your labia with the tip of his tongue. He moaned at the taste of you, he pushed his face further into you, your pubes tickling his nose, and he pushed his tongue into you.
“Fuck.” you managed to say, your inner walls spasming.
“Now that’s not a very nice thing to say is it, y/n?” Law warned, but it was obvious that he was enjoying himself.
Law dove back into your neck, marking you as he pleased. Law continued to play with your clit, pulling and pinching as Zoro fucked you with his tongue. You were amazed how a muscle so small could be so strong. He wiggled his tongue deep inside you making you moan uncontrollably.
“Are you going to cum for us?” Law whispered, his lips pressed against your ear. “Come on cum all over Zoro’s face. You know you want to.”
With one more torturous pinch on your clit, you were seeing stars. Your legs threatened to give out as your walls twitched and clamped around Zoro’s tongue. You could hear how slick you’ve become with the lewd sounds of slurping getting louder and filling the kitchen. Zoro hummed, the vibrations of it made you moan.
“Good girl.” Law said, releasing your head.
You looked down at Zoro, only now he parted away from your pussy, he looked up to you with a grin on his face. You were left breathless when you saw his mouth and chin glistening with your cum. Law grabbed the man by the collar of his shirt and pulled him up. He captured the unexpecting man’s lips with a kiss. You watched intently as Law’s tongue darted out momentarily to taste you on Zoro’s mouth. It wasn’t often that Zoro moaned when Law kissed him, so when the man moaned into the kiss, rutting his hips against the slimmer man… needless to say you got worked up all over again. Law broke the kiss and licked Zoro’s lips one last time before locking his gaze onto you. Just how horny was he?
Zoro followed his gaze and his lips spread out into a devilish smirk. He grabbed you by the hand and led you to the bedroom, Law following from behind. They both were quick to get naked when you sat on the bed, you swallowed when you saw how hard they were. Zoro’s cock was thick and glistening with precum whereas Law’s was longer than his and a bit slimmer. They both looked delicious.
“Like what you see?” Zoro asked playfully, he very well knew that you did.
“Get on your knees.” Law ordered.
“Someone seems eager.” you teased but complied anyway.
Getting on all fours, the bed dipped under their weight. Zoro stood behind you, kneading your soft ass, he peeled your cheeks open and placed his cock between them. He rubbed his shaft between them, the tip of his cock barely visible between your ass. Instinctively you raised your hips, a series of groans came from his as his grip on your ass tightened.
Law on the other hand had other plans. Standing before you, his dick was just a bit below from your eye level. With his thumb he pulled down your bottom lip, you stared up at him. Your gazes locked on each other, you darted your tongue and locked the tip of his finger. He flashed you a grin and replaced his thumb with the tip of his dick instead. He smeared the precum all over your lips and rubbed his shaft along your cheek. Your mouth watered, his cock warm against your flushed skin.
“Zoro,” he said, tearing his gaze away from you. “Hold her head for me.”
When his demand was followed by silence, he rolled his eyes.
“Please?”
“Fine.” he grunted. “But only because you asked so nicely.”
The loss of Zoro’s cock spreading your asscheeks made you whine, he playfully slapped you and chuckled, as if to say don’t worry I’m going to be back soon. Zoro wrapped his fingers around your hair, his hand keeping you steady, Law teased your mouth with his cock.
“You remember the safe word right?” Zoro asked, prompting Law to wait a bit.
You nodded.
“Moron Sanji.”
“I...I feel like we should change the safeword.” Law said, and rolled his eyes.
“It is what it is.” Zoro replied, dismissing him. “Now where were we?”
His grip on your hair tightened, shots of bittersweet pain spreading across your scalp. Spreading your lips you stuck your tongue out, pleased by this Law rubbed the tip against the flat of your tongue letting you taste him. He tasted bitter but you enjoyed the slimy texture and the flavor. With one thrust he buried himself completely in your mouth. Your throat closed around him as your gag reflex took over you. Zoro held you in place as your flight reflex kicked in. Law sighed happily.
“God your mouth feels so good.” he cooed.
He pulled his hips back and snapped with full force again and again. Your chin started to ache and your eyes watered. Saliva mixed with precum dribbled down your chin as he continued to fuck your mouth. You felt so good with your mouth so full, each time he thrusted his hips the tip of his cock touched the inside of your throat.
You heard Zoro groan and felt him tugging at your wrist, stumbling only for a bit as you let him guide his hand to his throbbing cock. Loosely wrapping your fingers around him, Zoro started to slowly thrust in and out against your palm. Your hand was now slick with Zoro’s precum, making it easier for him to slide between your fingers. The heat in your palm was steadily building.
The way Law was thrusting into your mouth, whispering words of praise to the both of you, you could feel yourself starting to flood with fluids all over again. Before you knew it your grip on Zoro’s cock tightened. You could feel them all over you, it felt so good that it made you crave for more.
Law continued to slam his hips into you, and you started to jerk Zoro off more vigorously, his cock throbbed, the amount of precum increasing and lubricating your palm. Zoro’s breathing hitched as his movements became more erratic and desperate. His cock twitched, he was close, his moans gradually became louder moaning both yours and Law’s name over and over again. Law’s chuckled, continuing to fuck your mouth he leaned in towards Zoro, he slammed his lips against the larger man and sucked on his tongue. Zoro’s grip on your hair loosened as he groaned into Law’s mouth.
Zoro’s body trembled as he blew his load all over your hand, his cum thick and warm over your fingers. Law let go of Zoro’s lips with a pop and started to focus on his own release instead. Letting go of your head completely Zoro collapsed on the bed, trying to gather his breath. Your hand fell back to the bed and Law’s hands replaced Zoro’s, his movements grew impatient with each thrust into your mouth.
Zoro, watching the two of you, licked his lips as an idea formed in his head. He crawled behind you and came across face to face with ass. He loved to watch how it rippled as Law fucked your mouth. Placing his calloused hands on to the soft mounds he spread your cheeks apart, burying his face in between them he wriggled his tongue and reached your hole. It twitched when the warm muscle touched it, with a hum Zoro licked it.
You moaned around Law’s cock, your eyes widening, instinctively you pressed into Zoro’s face begging him to go deeper. Not being the type of man to deny his wonderful girlfriend Zoro slid his tongue in, he pushed as far as he could. Soon enough he was fucking you with his tongue, the muscle sliding in and out of you with ease.
“We’re really spoiling you today huh y/n?” Law said, teasing you.
You answered him with a loud moan, your body feeling warm. Law’s grip on your head became stronger, with one last thrust Law buried himself deep inside you, keeping your head in place. He trembled as he shot his cum into your mouth. It felt heavy on your tongue as you swallowed every last drop, only a bit of it escaping you and trailed down the side of your chin. Letting out a shaky breath Law released your head, with your mouth now free you let out loud moans, as Zoro continued to thrust his tongue in and out of your ass, your voice now hoarse. Knowing that Law came Zoro pulled out his tongue and planted open mouthed kisses all over your ass, not being able to contain himself he gave it a sharp bite before looking at Law.
“I really want to fuck her now.” by the sound of it he was barely hanging on.
“You’re insatiable.” Law said with a grin. “But yeah, I want to fuck her too.”
Don’t I have a say in this? You though but honestly, you really wanted to feel them both inside of you too. Besides you were too worn out to actually banter with them.
Taking both of your wrists Zoro pulled you back, Law came closer to you teasing your slit with the tip of his cock, your body trembled at the thought of them both entering you. As if he read your mind, Law slid between your folds and into you with ease. The two of you took in sharp breaths, Law waited for you to adjust to him, leaning in Law captured your lips with a soft kiss. This time he took it slow, exploring your mouth and tasting you.
Your body relaxed as he kissed you, making Zoro’s job easier. Spreading your asscheeks Zoro probed at your already wet hole, slowly he pushed in, your groaned at the intrusion but Law continued to entrance you with the kiss, his hands came up to your breasts and squeezed your tender flesh, your pained groan was quick to turn into a moan.
When Zoro was finally sheathed completely inside of you, your whole body threatened to give out right then and there. Lucky you that Zoro was still keeping you standing still by holding your arms. Law broke the kiss and placed a soft kiss on your forehead.
“Are you okay?” he asked.
You nodded, both of your whole twitching and burning.
“You can move.” you managed to whisper.
Law was the first to move, each time he slid in and out of you he could feel Zoro buried deep inside of you. With a groan Zoro followed suit, slowly he snapped his hips back and thrusted into you once again. You screamed mixed with pain and pleasure. The feeling of being filled from both ends made you feel dizzy.
Law buried his face in the crook of your neck, kissing and nibbling at your flustered flesh. Zoro let go of your arms and grabbed your breasts, pinching and pulling at your nipples, the two of them made your whole body spasm with desire. The lewd noises of them both fucking you filled the room, the squelching managed to turn you on even more if possible.
Both of Zoro’s and Law’s moans got louder, the way they could feel each other thrusting into you through your inner wall drove them crazy. Law continued to bite your neck and Zoro roughly squeezed your breasts, his mind too occupied to actually think of playing with your nipples. Your insides were burning, the sensation of being stretched out so deliciously edging you towards your release once again. You didn’t even know which name you shouted as your second orgasm hit you like a truck. Your toes curled and your body arched back as you saw white.
Both of them groaned when your walls fluttered around both of their cocks, sucking them in deeper. Your juices dripped down Law’s dick, making the noises of him fucking you grow louder.
“Fuck...ahhh… I’m close.” Law moaned against your neck.
“Me...Me too...fuck, y/n you’re so tight.”
You wanted to retort and say it wasn’t everyday you got your ass fucked but you just couldn’t as your second orgasm was still washing over you.
Before you could come down from your high Zoro pulled out and  you felt the warmth of his cum trickling down your ass, you felt him falling back onto the bed, his breathing uneven and short. Law was quick to follow, he pulled out and shot his semen all over your stomach, leaving you empty and twitching.
The two of you collapsed after that, you falling backwards into Zoro’s chest and Law falling into the bed. Automatically Zoro’s arms came around you, pulling you close, he placed a gentle kiss on your temple. The three of you, sweaty and hot, sat in silence, only your heavy breathing filling the room.
“We should prepare a bath.” Law said, being the one to break the silence.
“I wouldn’t say no to that.” you replied a soft smile tugging at your lips.
“I bought some new bath bombs if you want to try them out.” Zoro chimed in.
Sighing happily, you leaned further into Zoro.
“How did I end up being so lucky.”
“We’re the lucky ones,” Law answered, smiling. “You’re amazing y/n.”
You continued to smile until a faint smell reached your nose, you sniffed the air.
“Is something burning?”
“The lasagna!”

Note
I just found your page thanks to the awesome Zoro fiction you wrote. It truly is great stuff.
But then I saw your post apologizing for being in a funk and not writing. I don't know you, but know that no one of good heart will be disappointed in you for taking time for yourself. For all that is good take time to get back on your feet. Whether it's days, weeks, months, more, less, you look after you first and foremost. We will be here when you're ready.
Having new posts from my favorite writers is always a pleasant surprise, never the expectation. We want you to have as much fun writing them as we do reading them. Please take care and know that nobody is disappointed in you.
All that said, as far as One Piece fics, it's what I'm on Tumblr for. I cast a steadfast yes vote your way for when you are feeling up to it and not a moment sooner. I'm also curious to hear your thoughts/favorite characters. I'm only on Marineford myself but I love to discuss and hear people's opinions.
Take care.
i’m truly so happy that you’ve enjoyed Delayed Realization! it was a lovely experience writing a fic featuring Zoro. i’ve been hesitant to join the One Piece fandom in fear of not being able to do the characters any justice and your feedback put that fear at ease. thank you ♡
it’s crazy that we as people are compassionate and understanding with others and then sometimes fail to treat ourselves with the same gentleness. people reminded me “take care of yourself first”, “we’ll be here when you’re back”, and i always appreciated the message but my mind wouldn’t accept it. i spent a lot of time disappointed with myself for not being able to properly produce any content. if anybody else were dealing with similar things though, the same kind words you and others told me— is what i relayed to them. it truly sucks having to wait and deal with the artists block but you’re absolutely right, having new posts from our favorite writers are always a splendid surprise, not an expectation. no matter how many times we are reminded of this, it warms my heart to know that across different fandom communities, everyone pushes you to take care of yourself first.
the Marine Ford arc is such a whirlpool of emotions, you’re at an important pillar in One Piece. i don’t know how to describe how much i love One Piece. Eiichiro Oda did a phenomenal job with world building and character complexity. the way details and backstories are tied in together is done flawlessly and always leaves my jaw on the ground. truthfully i can name characters that i dislike quicker than all of the characters i’m fond of. One Piece does an awfully good job at making you feel empathetic towards characters you initially despised. if i had to pick my top 2 favorite characters overall, it would have to be: Luffy because of his fearlessness and Zoro for his undying loyalty. i like so many characters in one piece for their own individuality. who are your favorite characters?
take care lovely, and thank you for sending this in. you made my morning!

robin + direction
The first thing that gives Robin direction in life (other than survival, of course) is learning to read Poneglyphs. It’s the only thing that connects her to her mother (the only thing that gives her reason to live, after being told for so long she doesn’t deserve to). So, she spends years reading, studying, learning. In doing so, she becomes a fully-fledged archeologist, but the connection to her mother was the thing truly driving her forward.
(Ohara burns, and the only thing that keeps her from going with it is Saul, pushing her forward and giving her hope.)
Finding the Rio Poneglyph becomes Robin’s sole goal in life. Before, it was just mild curiosity, a curiosity Robin had for everything – everything that she could learn, she did. Now, she has nothing, only the history of her island on her back and the realization that the Rio Poneglyph held something the world needed to know pushing her forward.
(She never forgets what Saul told her, but after betrayal after betrayal, after running for her life for so long, she can’t bear to hope. She can’t bear to stake her life on finding friends who would love her for who she is. She locks it away, both her heart and her hopes, finding the Rio Poneglyph her only purpose.)
In that tomb in Alabasta, where her direction lead her for twenty years, she is ready to die. The poneglyph was not it, and she collapses, her hopes crashing down around her. The Rio Poneglyph seems unreachable, her direction gone, and she has nothing left. She accepts her fate, slumping and using the last of her energy to save the man who had defeated the man who had been her comrade for years now (another organization lost, another betrayal by her).
Yet, as she has nothing left driving her, Straw Hat Luffy picks her up, taking her from the tomb. She fights – so, so hard. She has nothing left, she yells. Just let me die, she cries. My direction is gone, she weeps internally. What do I have left? The man of D ignores her, taking her out anyway.
For a couple days, Robin wanders aimlessly, both physically and mentally. She doesn’t know what to do, so she did the only thing she could do, and joins the crew of the man that had saved her life. They are suspicious, but she is coy, and wins the trust of most before long. The swordsman holds out, but he was loyal to his captain, so she knew he wouldn’t be trouble.
Traveling with this crew changed her life. At first, she is baffled. They seem so incohesive, so different. Yet, they and their dreams (their lifestyles, their directions), all meld so well. Pirate King. World’s Greatest Swordsman. Drawing the Map of the World. Brave Warrior of the Sea. Finding the All Blue. Finding the Cure to Every Disease. She doesn’t know where she could fit in with all those, so just drifted along for the ride, enjoying the chaos that the small crew left in their wake.
(She scolds herself heavily for thinking, even for a moment, that she could fit in. They would betray her (abandon her, hate her) before long. She distances herself, ignoring the small voice inside her pleading for her to trust them.)
(The voice sounds suspiciously like Saul, and Robin shakes her head, dispelling the memories of fire and ice filling her mind.)
They traveled to a sky island, and Robin marvels at the wonders the crew was capable of (so sure of themselves and their paths, and god, Robin wishes she could be like that). And, suddenly, hope flared in Robin, a poneglyph telling her, keep going, you’re not lost yet. A sudden drive filling her, she leaves the sky feeling lighter than she ever had, new drive filling her.
And just as quick as hope finds her again, it is ripped away.
Aokiji attacked, leaving her colder than ever, and CP9 came, and she knew all hope was lost. Yet, somehow, before she knew it, her direction had shifted. It isn’t just about her anymore, about her history. Protecting her friends (her family, those who love her for who she is) becomes her sole direction in life. She would let the world burn if it meant her family would be safe.
She should’ve known they wouldn’t take that laying down.
Standing on top of the Tower of Justice, looking down at the crew she had abandoned, she is struck by how huge they seemed. Not huge in size, no, but huge in personality, in dreams. Their purpose in life seems so strong, and standing there, being stared down, she was struck by how much they make her want to stand with them. She shouts denials, cries her fears to them, that they’ll abandon her, that they’ll betray her, and she’d rather die. Her captain, her savior, ignores absolutely all of that.
The flag burns, and her captain shouts, “SAY YOU WANT TO LIVE!”
Through her tears, she shouts back her dream, the one she was never allowed to have, and gets six sharp grins in return. As she is dragged away, she is struck by the realization that she had underestimated them. She thought her captain’s dream was solely to become King of the Pirates, to become the freest in the world. After having seen him at the top of the courthouse, challenging the world, she realizes his dream, his direction in life was more than that.
His dream was also to fulfill theirs. He wouldn’t rest until Zoro was the Greatest Swordsman, until Nami had drawn her Map of the World, until Sanji found the All Blue, until Usopp became a Brave Warrior of the Sea, until Chopper found the Cure to Every Disease. Until she found the Rio Poneglyph (until she found her reason to live).
And she found it with this crew, with these wonderful people, full of fire and dreams bigger than life. She found her way again, her way to live happily with people who will protect her and cherish her, with those who will support her dream as if it were their own. And she will do the same in return.
(The voice inside her, the voice that had been telling her for so long, you’re not alone, don’t give up yet, you’ll find those who will protect you, who will love you, finally quiets, at peace at last.)
