so unfair i'm on my third playthrough and only for the first time i see a romance-only option added into a dialogue like this (that wasn't just between rook and their romanced companion)

well! this is probably about as finished as it's going to get. I am. so normal about that unwanted animal. I tend towards platonic jarthur myself but I was physically incapable of NOT drawing them to that line in the song. id and closeups under the cut <3

Let them dress you in a clean set of pajamas and guide you to your bed as if they'd done this a thousand times. Let them snuggle with you and hum you to sleep, shamelessly inhaling your intoxicating scent and peppering you with kisses.

Hmm. I think he'd be so good at rationalizing thoughts and circumstances so he wouldn't be too possessive. In a way, he's unfazed that people stare at you because he knows it's human nature to look at beautiful things. That's how it is.

He also believes that he feels secure with s/o. He loves intensely. More so than anyone. You've seen the stuff he's done for his sister, so you should definitely expect that same intensity. He knows, that you know, that both of you are devoted to each other. You're his and he is yours. Simple as that.

So why does the sight of seeing other people talk and flirt with you make a slight, barely present, unease start to form in his chest? Why does he keep his gaze on you despite knowing you won't truly leave him behind?

And he of course wonders. Why is it that, the person talking to you, isn't going away yet?

Have you perhaps not told them already? Told them that you're clearly not interested? That you are already taken, by him, your dear friend and lover, your confidante, your partner,— your Johan?

WARNINGS: Soma almost gets ran over?

Author's Notes: Thank you to @ozzgin for making the Yantober 2024 writing challenge! I felt that this was a bit flat, but I really don't feel like rewriting it. I was more inspired for something a bit later 😉

Soma frantically punches the cross walk button. He wanted to prove to Enma he could be on time to a date, but he's already failing. He being too indecisive with his clothes and hair and now it's 5:30 pm. He's 10 minutes late. He groans. He barely glances both ways then decides to just run across. He's done it before, so it should be fine, right? He sprints across just as a motorcycle speeds up. They screech to a halt, scaring Soma. He jumps, stumbles, rolls his ankle and falls to the side.

"Hey! What the fuck?!" The person on the motorcycle screams. They're lacking the full helmet a motorcyclist wears, letting him see their face. He sits on the asphalt, staring dumbly up at them as they talk.

"--Dumbass, get up and MOVE!!"

He scrambles up, wincing and rushes to the sidewalk. He watches as they speed off, most likely still cursing him. It takes him an awkwardly long moment to get his mind back. Soma runs to meet up with Enma.
