What are your headcanons for Poison Ivy?

i adore rogues asks and would kill for you in a heartbeat

okay so first of all if she’s not green i don’t fucking want her <3 or like part plant in some way? i’ll forgive a skin colour if part of her body is an actual plant

(i think she should be full of chlorophyll and sunbathing)

she’s one of exactly four redheads in gotham! (also including babs kate and eddie) she cannot do undercover ever but that’s fine with her. she’s got red hair, green skin, and seething rage. she doesn’t need undercover she needs to cover the world in plants until every human being and all technology dies. sometimes she’ll settle for some buildings though it depends on her mood.

she absolutely personally tailors her clothes as plants but they’re actually just growing out of her. yes she looks like she’s wearing a dress in the shape of a pitcher plant but that’s actually more her. come closer. come closer. slide your hand down her dress. she’s daring you. it definitely won’t dissolve your hand in any way shape or form. and even if it did, obviously it’s your fault for shoving your hand down her dress. don’t worry about it. you didn’t really need that hand anyway.

her palms + the underside of her arms are, like, poison ivy. same effect. just that though (because i like harlivy and i’d like them to hug).

it’s either her lips are poisonous or the layer of poison she applied to them are poisonous. who’s to say? it depends on her mood and what day it is and what the weather is and

her ultimate goal is to overrun the entire world with plants and everyone dies, the end. however she can be reasoned with. however if you kill a plant that’s it you’re fucking dead.

ivy enacts a clever tactic of lacing her direct murderous raged w murder/mind control via seduction so people are less worried about her. this worked for about five years before people figured out what she was doing. she still uses the seduction technique sometimes (the lust pollen generally helps) because mind control is useful, and it’s funny to watch someone passionately kiss her then die of poison.

MOST OF THE TIME THOUGH she’s like some deranged plant monster because that’s who she feels she is a lot. losing limbs to vine shaped things. body indistinguishable from whatever plant shaped dress she’s wearing. the whole area is thickly coated in plants at all times and all of the are deadly and alive. her eyes are glowing a little bit. she is wrath. fuck batman, SHE is vengeance. she is the death of every plant turned on people. she’ll pull a vine attached to each limb until it rips you apart. there is no escape.

sometimes when she’s looking for distractions she pours out cuddle or sex pollen. it makes a VERY efficient distraction but also sometimes she does it because the mob planted a whole bunch of trees to ask her to do so/because she owes another rogue a favour/she wants them to owe her one/she wants to and it’s funny

she speaks well enunciated and kind of snobbish sometimes? she looks down on everyone because they’re, like, people, and she’s the enlightened plant. you know how it is. this later changes w harley and harley ONLY

SPEAKING OF HARLEY. ivy cooperates w batman sometimes because he has the power to make WE do what he wants (she’s pretty sure he’s fucking bruce wayne or that lucius fox is helping him) and makes treaties. on his end they last until he can find a better deal, on her end they last until she perceives part of it has been broken or she goes back to arkham. (i know i said speaking of harley but BEAR WITH ME.) this generally prevents some ecoterrorism and saves batman the embarrassment of having to call up someone to fuck when she inevitably hits him with sex pollen. it also saves him from terrifying robin when he gets hit with cuddle pollen and, like, tackles him to the ground. (side note, i adore cuddle pollen being used in a genuinely terrifying way). later on when batman has like seventy kids she’s less of a villain but she’s not redeemed and neither is harley!! they’re still villains but they’ll team up w the bats sometimes. they’re also opportunists! (i got to the harley part)

as i’ve mentioned above i believe harilvy happens but THIS POST IS NOT ABOUT THAT. this is abt IVY and IVY ALONE.

ivy absolutely fucking despises the joker and yeah it’s partly the harley thing but also HIS FUCKING CHEMICALS EAT THROUGH BIOLOGICAL MATTER, INCLUDING PLANTS. they’re in a war about it. harley’s hyenas (brucie, pam, puds) all like the joker differently and pam fucking hates him, much like her namesake <3 joker inevitably tries to bribe her into not killing him because he’s in the middle of his latest ‘get batman to fuck me’ plan so they’re kind of frenemies. you know how it is.

she is every plant in gotham. it would be every plant everywhere but she keeps getting thrown in jail and it’s slowing her down a bit :/

like, someone could kick a tree and the tree is fucking alive even when she’s in goddamn jail and will hit you back. a child picks a flower and the flower fucking bites them.

that said it also has a flip side! looking after/planting plants means that maybe when you’re about to trip over a tree root it’ll move out of your way. the plants can thank you.

here’s a scenario i just made up w/ ivy and the justice league where she’s gone full plant. idk the context. imagine it yourself

“Hey, B, I can’t tell the difference between plant and woman.”

“You’ll be surprised how little it matters.”

sometimes she’s nice to batman and his shark repellent will work on her plants. sometimes it won’t! this is when she’s mad at him. she gets mad abt things he struggles to predict because sometimes he’ll have stepped wrong on a blade of grass and she’ll be mad at him on a drop of a hat and sometimes he’ll like. rip her whole arm off because he couldn’t tell what was vine and what was arm and she’ll be like “if you’re taking me back to arkham you better plant a tree. no. fifty trees.”

she blames batman for a lot of joker’s plant related crimes for not stopping him. he hasn’t complained yet tbh and the joker gets really whiny when she’s mad at him. he’s like a sad wet cat if that cat was a clown.

(the shark repellent thing is because it doesn’t damage the plants, because her plants are not sharks. it just feels slimy and the texture is enough to make the plants withdraw.)

she’s sometimes, like, will just fling robin around a bit or dangle him upside down. she might also play cards with him or whatever. other times she’ll hit him with cuddle pollen. she has yet to hit him w lust/sex pollen but that’s because when batman notices her using a lot of it he brings out robin’s fabricated flower allergy to bench him. when she’s in a “throw sex pollen at my problems” mood he’s not certain how far she’ll go.

ivy will use a gun sometimes if there are no plants around because she’s not completely incapable on her own. idk why someone would’ve thought that, might be the ecoterrorism and plant theme, but who’s to say?

i have lots for trixie! i like to think she lived in a family that had high expectations for her magic which is why shes so focused on being "great and powerful".

i also think they weren't very supportive of her so she makes up for that by being overly supportive of herself.

she and starlight and sunburst are all in a poly relationship also

ALSO i think sunburst and sunset shimmer are related. if they arent siblings theyre something just look at them

More LazyTown Headcanons!!

Well, since the last time I shared a LazyTown headcanon seemed to be preety well reciebed, I'll do it again!!!

Not long after the plays, Solla and Halla got together and eventually gave birth to a child, who grew up to become the pink girl we all know and love. For my headcanon, Stephanie is a trans girl who was preety quickly accepted by her moms, Solla even suggested new names for her (Stacy, Sally, Sonia, Tiffany, Stiffany, Stephanie, etc).

Stephanie, however, wasn't sure of how it would be for her at school. But Halla encouraged her to go and tell her classmates anyways. Stephanie did and when she wasn't accepted, Solla and Halla knew the ideal thing for their daughter would be go to a place where they knew they'd accept her. So, while they packed everything up, they sent Stephanie to LazyTown on her own to live with her uncle.

Solla and Halla eventually arrived to LazyTown during season 3 or so, but let Stephanie live with the Mayor for a little longer. Stephanie visits them regularly and they even met up with Sportacus 10 and were like "Damn 9, you look even more strong than when we last saw you".

If you're wondering, Trixie has a mom and a dad (that's kind of implied) however, like most "bullies/pranksters", his parentes don't pay him much attention (yes, I am going with the Trix being a trans boy headcanon, deal with it), so when he met Stephanie's moms (aka his mothers-in-law) he was like "… Can you adopt me-"

And, as you could imagine, Trix has a more close bond with Halla "Hey, Mrs. Hrekkjusvín, is Stephy here or with her uncle?" "She's at the sports field, Trix, BTW you can call me Halla" (She sometimes lets him use her old slingshot, without Stephanie or Solla knowing)

And Solla also suggested names for him, he's grateful for it but prefers Trix and doesn't mind if someone does call him Trixie, "I mean, it sounds like tricks, right? And I like tricks" he would always say.

Hello! Super excited to announce that we're going to be hosting a TWO-DAY EVENT for Epithet Erased's five year anniversary.

(Yes, it's been five years. Isn't that insane?)

Can i just saw that i really love the headcanon of Trixie being trans?? It's so fitting for her and as a trans person myself, it makes me really happy. If my memory doesn't fail me, it's supposed to be a reference to how Trixie was supposed to be a man in the original concept of mlp isn't it??

Trixie has been the most trans-coded character for a long time in the fandom; her aura, mane, and coat being the flag colors, her eye having one highlight while every other mare has two, and of course, that Faust originally intended her to be a stallion. Making her trans in the AU is a special little nod to that. I personally identify as genderqueer, and I put a lot of my own feelings into Trixie.

Also I only found this out recently from twitter, but check out this comparison of her design before and after befriending Starlight. Yuri estrogen.

In this concept I imagine her being a transoman who uses She/They, one Notable thing about her designs is the weird cognitive dissonance within her design being very layer heavy vs the fact that apparently being bumped into can literally break her bones?? Like, would heavy clothing like, also hurt her?? So I simplified it down based on the generalized idea that her Epithet vaguely functions like Fibromyalgia, I also wanted to make her eyes feel freaky.. gio calls her eyes weird but then they look... so normal. Also gave her melanin I like to imagine because she's from yknow.. island's... and she's meant to be tagalo.. Filipino even... she should have melanin but whatever!!!

Also made her purple... they look good in purple.

2. GIOVANNI POTAGE!!!

I think Jello is personally a coward, seeing him give out about the giovanni trans man headcanon because he's "feminine" feels weird because he's... GEUEINELY not that feminine to me. So scream it Bigender Giovanni!! Any Pronouns and he's intersex!!! PCOS for you!! Lorelai invents new neopronouns for him!!! I also made him full ocean race because the concept of ocean race people being discriminated against and their weird description makes me go 🤨. (Also as a note for these redesigns, I don't imagine the entire Roughhouse lineage being ocean race simply because I personally do not feel comfortable making the rougehouse lineage, who are crime based, purely black, for current times, its only Rex, Trixie and Giovanni!!)

Overthinking Lorelai's Epithet

This will contain spoilers for Prison of Plastic Lorelai's epithet lets her do essentially anything she wants but there are still some rules to it that I want to go over. When and where Lorelai can use her powers First things first, something that a lot of people tend to gloss over is Lorelai DOESN'T NEED her dream bubbles to use her epithet. She turned Giovanni into a gargoyle and grabbed Naven with plants before she made her mega-dream bubble. Lorelai's dream bubbles are just pocket dimensions for her to use her epithet in. You could technically play soccer inside your house but you go to a soccer field so you have more space and you won't break your mom's expensive vase. Same concept with Lorelai's dream bubbles. At the end of the book, Lorelai makes her hand glow to look at Giovanni's baseball. Plus Molly brings up Lorelai used to use her epithet more outside of the dream bubbles.

How people get affected by Lorelai's Epithet

Unless it's done for showmanship like Lorelai's rhyming, it seems that the target of her spells has to be touched with something physical. Each time she does something to another character it's generally in the form of a magical projectile except when she gives Giovanni the gargoyle potion. We haven't seen Lorelai go "You're a toad now" and then someone turns into a toad without any sort of action. However, we will have to wait for the series to go on before we can figure that out. It can be assumed Lorelai can also touch someone to affect them but because she isn't exactly a close-quarters combatant we likely won't see anything like that. We also know she can set terms for her spells such as when Rick, Trixie, and Feenie go in and out of the bubble they still transform into their mini forms. When dealing with her own creations Lorelai can morph them as she pleases when she makes Spelling Bee disappear with a snap. It is possible she can affect real people with just a snap but we haven't seen her do it, so for now we'll just assume that only works in regards to her summons. Lorelai's Body Sort of going off how people are affected by her epithet. Lorelai can alter her body as she pleases without any effort such as when she gave herself fangs, went rubber hose, and REMOVED HER HEART. This might also be an explanation as to how part of Lorelai's hair is blonde but my personal headcanon is that Martin's genetics are so freaking weird it gave Lorelai two natural hair colors. I mean Molly has stars in her hair, I think it wouldn't be too far-fetched for Lorelai to have naturally multi-colored hair. I know people who are also fans of One Piece compare Lorelai to Uta in terms of powerset but I just want to bring up that Lori can also make herself stretchy and rubbery like Luffy... just food for thought. Exiting the Bubble

When people exit Lorelai's bubble, not including when Molly uses her epithet to do it, it seems to be a chaotic affair with people sent tumbling outside. Even when Lorelai fully exits her own bubble she does a somersault. Some would say she's doing this on purpose but at the end of the book when the bubble is destroyed, everyone except Naven and Lorelai herself is put in a random position, even when it's not on purpose exiting her bubble isn't exactly a calm affair. This leads to my next topic. Lorelai's Control and Imagination

Lorelai claims she had much better control over her epithet when she was younger. I think it may be a matter of as she grew stronger, the more thought she needs put into her work. Not in terms of creativity, but in terms of setting boundaries within her own magic. I'm no gardener but here's the analogy I came up with. Say you are planting flowers. If you don't put them in a flower box or some sort of way to keep them in their own little area they can grow into places that you don't want. Lorelai is planting her flowers but isn't doing anything to stop them from getting into unwanted places. Lorelai makes her bubbles but she doesn't put in the effort to make sure they stay a certain size. When she makes her worlds she thinks about what she wants in them but isn't making sure they end on her terms. This applies to what Jello said on a stream about how Lorelai could make nutritious food but only if she concentrates during the entire digestion process This kinda plays into how Lorelai's imagination is required for her powers to work. Despite the fact she said newt when she transformed Rick, he became a chameleon because that's the image she created in her head. Plus it explains the ogre being just a little guy since Lori was put on the spot when she made him. Her emotions also affect her control given all the times she gets flustered when talking to Giovanni and I'd bet her having her traumatic breakdown was a key part of how the bubble was destroyed at the end of the book. I would also like to hope her "Heartless Spell" was more from being unable to control her emotions rather than intending to physically remove Molly's heart. Maybe the intent was to brainwash Molly into doing stuff? Still not great but better than murder. I'm a Lorelai fan, I recognize she's done awful stuff but she's not the worst person in the series. But I digress. Everything is Temporary This we don't know nearly as much about and the only time this has been brought up is by Martin Blyndeff of all people. Martin says everything Lorelai makes eventually fades away which he claims is why the family isn't rich. We don't know if Lorelai's stamina goes down each time she makes something or if it's a constant drain the more spells she keeps up. I think it's likely the former and everything Lorelai does just naturally has some sort of time limit before it fades into nothingness. However, we don't know what this time limit is.

I think that Shining Armor is a cis guy, but he's so masculine that his gender integer overflows, giving him the sheer confidence to wear absolutely anything, gender roles be damned(aka my explanation for him being gnc)

Not exactly a character, but I do believe that changelings have a unique relationship with gender, and it's overall all or nothing with them

Personally, I haven't given that much thought for the cast, exept for with applejack. When I was writing the Princess and the Peasant, a big part of her character drive is that since her parents died, she had to do everything to support her family, and in that way, she had time for nothing else, no romance, no distractions, no wondering what she could be when it isn't this. The reason she is so strong is because she worked nonstop day after day to keep Sweet Apple Acres alive. I didn't end up writing it into the fic, but one thing was perfectly clear for me-- It would have been a fantastic Trans character moment, because although she is happy with the woman label, and her family accepts her, she never had time to be in touch with it or even explore this other side of herself, since she was always driven to help her family. She didn't get the chance to truly ask herself who she could be, if she wasn't poverty-stricken, and perpetually having to provide for her family. It leads to the classic rarijack moment where being near rarity allows her to explore other versions of herself, to imagine what else she could be. There's a scene in the fic where they have to wear disguises, and Rarity dresses AJ up-- and when Applejack looks in the mirror, she could swear that she saw her mother, pear butter. Rarity here being not only supportive but incentifyzing AJ to explore herself and stuff. If I ever came back to the story with original characters (specially anthros, heh) I would absolutely make that a part of the narrative; Her own gender identity being explored through her relationship with this gorgeous woman she's tasked with protecting. Good times.

That's about it though! otherwise, i dont think of many trans things in mlp, since the show is canonly pretty non lgbt, either way
