If I have extras, my plan is to give them to friends or sell them at local markets first! I will be open to also selling them on kofi shop but I find the process of shipping things very stressful.

Hi! I'm Korean American, and I just saw your k pop demon hunters post. It's confusing to me too why they named them Rumi and Mira. I do know that some idols have stage names other than their normal name, but from what I know they're still derived from their normal names (ex: minzy from 2ne1's given name is min-ji, CL's name is Lee chae-rin. You can tell I'm a 2ne1 fan)

Otherwise, I think it's a good movie that I wish had been out when I was a kid.

Yes exactly! I can't fully describe it but usually stage names also reflect "sounds" that work well in a Korean accent (probably because they are rooted from normal names), and something about "Rumi" and "Mira" weirdly don't sound right to me. It doesn't help that they also sound very similar from sharing 3 letters.

It's legit like the most TINY gripe I have though, I was so happy to see Korean mythology, folklore, and art represented through animation. If I were much younger this would have been my Spiderverse. Nothing but love to the film.

If I can be Korean for a second, I absolutely loved KPOP Demon Hunters, and I'm loving the success it's been having!

But the one silly gripe I had about it was the names of the characters. Zoey is ok cause she's from the US, but Rumi and Mira aren't Korean names at all, and my family and I found it distracting while watching. I'm really wondering if any other Korean viewer felt the same way. Anyway, this is no big deal, just silly.

Go watch the movie if you haven't and enjoy Korean culture.

I would actually love to, but I'm really unskilled with animals (which is a huge weakness I have as a designer). Nothing but endless love for cute anthro designs im just so, so bad with them..

Is Sika and/or Maki any good at cooking?

I don't think either of them would be amazing at cooking, but Sika wouldn't even be able to cook eggs without crying.

ur ocs are both super handsome.... did you have any specific inspo when designing them? what kind of music do they listen to?

I answered the first question so I'll just answer music genre! I have short playlists for each of them; Sika's songs are mostly hyperpop while Maki's includes more genres like nu metal, kpop, and synthpop.

Sika is Singaporean Chinese and Maki is Japanese.

They live in the same apartment complex, and Sika is an obnoxious neighbor.
