At my Tues trivia tradition w/ my friends this week, one of the questions asked us to produce the top 10 US based social media sites w/ the most daily active users.
Some other team put tumblr on their list and the quizmaster made fun of them for it and said, "wasn't it fun before tumblr died" and I said to my team, "yeah I'm not even a daily active user there anymore" and one friend audibly gasped because I've been tumblr girl to them for well over a decade.
So yeah, I guess this is my way of telling y'all I'm not tumblr girl anymore. As I've gotten my AuDHD assessment, I've uncovered some really unhealthy stuff I was doing and reducing phone time/news consumption has been critical for me.
For almost 2 months, I've took my "screen time" on this app from 4 hours a day to ~0 simply by deleting the app and only using desktop. It's meant I basically went from "always on" to checking like 1-3 times a week to see what's in my activity. I'm at a place where I don't really look at my dash anymore. Maybe like 15 mins a week? It wasn't even a process of like weaning myself more and more. I just kinda cold turkey-ed it w/ the app deleting. I was at what I'd say was a very unhealthy level of use (I got a reality check by starting to track screen time.)
Deleting this app didn't result in me shifting my phone time elsewhere, too. It basically means I went from like 6 hours phone time a day on average to 2. My partner of 22 years almost cried tears of joy when I told him I had done this. I was about 3 weeks in before I revealed it and he was like "OH MY GOD THAT'S WHAT HAS BEEN DIFFERENT" because that man has said more times that I can count how much he wished I wasn't on my phone so much missing out on stuff he's saying to me or life that's happening around me.
I love tumblr. Always will, it's change my life in infinite ways (just 1 relevant example: would I have known to go get an AuDHD assessment w/o it? FUCK NO) but I've just had to change my relationship w/ it for my own well being. Figured I may as well let y'all know that's what's up for me lately.
I don't plan to delete or anything. I'll just be slow to reply and infrequent to post now. It feels good.

Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad Activity Report
Part 3
5/16 (Sat) - Reporter: Yukari Takeba
Uh, this is Takeba.
Actually, Tartarus is closed today, and Kirijo-senpai told me, "School take priority over SEES activities!", but it's tough to stay holed up in my room all day, so I snuck out. That being said, I don't really have anything to report.
Oh, I'm lying, there was one thing. Well, Sanada-senpai is a little scary. Haha. Apparently the doctor told him yesterday that he'll be okay to start boxing in about a week, and he's really happy about that.
Of course, since it's before the exams, he seems to be studying properly in his room, but when I went out to the stairwell, I saw him running up the stairs at a great pace. I was surprised and talked to him, and he said that he had been taking a break and couldn't stay still. Do you even know what a break means? But I'm glad he's doing well. Yes.
Well, I don't want to relax too much, so I'll get back to studying. This is Takeba.
5/17 (Sun) - Reporter: Junpei Iori
Well... Good evening, I'm Junpei Iori. I don't really have anything to report, but Kirijo-senpai told me to hold the microphone. I guess she told me to calm down and complain or whatever because my cries from the heart are getting in the way of the wonderful training... but somehow, haven't I lost sight of my original purpose for this activity report?
âŚOh, that's right, there's something to report.
No, I don't want to sit at my desk any more this afternoon.
I don't want that to happen! I'm stuck with that feeling.
Wait, I went to Paulownian Mall to change my mood.
Then, I felt some strange tension.
A self-proclaimed "reporter" told me about some strange things happening recently.
She asked me if I had information.
When she said something like "I'll be rewarded if you give me any information," I was tempted for a moment, but then I thought, aren't we just heroes of justice who work in secret? Of course, I said "I don't know," and rejected her. Then the reporter just said, "Oh, okay," and walked away... It's a bit complicated...
5/18 (Mon) - Reporter: Akihiko Sanada
Well, the exam finally starts today. There's no point in rushing now. I'll just do my best.
However... I know this may be unnecessary, and it may not be the right topic to talk about at a time like this, but I am really concerned about the injury that happened to our physical education teacher, Mr. Aoyama. From what I heard, he had been drinking after work and was on his way home in a good mood when, an accident was caused by a falling sign, but the accident happened just as the day changed... around the Dark Hour.
Well, shadows wouldn't have to resort to such a roundabout means to drop a sign and injure someone. It's probably just paranoia born from the frustration of not being able to return. Forget it.
5/19 (Tue) - Reporter: Junpei Iori
Hi, it's Junpei.
...It's no good anymore!
Ugh, today's modern Japanese test. I messed up... I messed up...
No, it was a chance question.
It was a question I remember doing, and it was the one that was called on me in that class, and I thought, "Yes, I got it," but then... I'd completely forgotten about it, hadn't I?
Damn it... If I had known it would be like this, I would have looked it up properly on my own instead of asking him for the answer!
5/20 (Wed) - Reporter: Yukari Takeba
Well, it's Takeba.
It's already the third day of the exam. How is everyone doing? Are you doing well? Are you scratching your head? I feel like I shouldn't be reporting here and should just go to bed or study... but let me get away with it.
...I mean, there's no way I can understand physics! What use is it for a girl to learn something like that in the future?
Yes, yes, I know I'm being petty.
5/24 (Sun) - Reporter: Yukari Takeba
But I can't help but say it! Who the hell is Einstein! What did Newton do for me!
5/21 (Thu) - Reporter: Mitsuru Kirijo
Takeba... This may be unnecessary, but trivia about daily life isn't physics.
Now, it's Kirijo.
There are only two days left until the exams. Everyone seems to be getting tired. Before the exams, I hinted at a reward if they performed well, hoping to encourage them a little, but... I guess it was a bit too childish to lure them with something.
Of the three second-years, the ones who seem to have potential are the field leader and Takeba, but Takeba's complexion is getting worse day by day and he doesn't seem to be riding the wave at the moment, and in his case, it's hard to read his facial expressions...
I've always been bad at people-controlling techniques since I was forced to study something like the art of rulership before, but... putting it into practice is even more difficult. As someone in a position above them, I too must work even harder...
5/22 (Fri) - Reporter: Junpei Iori
Hey, Junpei here. Only one more day left until the end of exams! Tomorrow is the last day! If I rush around anymore, it won't start, so I'm going to bed after I finish submitting my report!
Hehehe, well, the questions I was trying to answer came up today, so maybe I'm doing pretty well?
Even so, I was really lucky today.
That's great! I forgot the question I was asked the other day, but I remembered it well today. The difference between the Paleolithic and Neolithic is the shape of the stone tools!
Hehehe, that serves you right.
All right, let's do our best tomorrow too!
5/23 (Sat) - Reporter: Akihiko Sanada
It's been a long time... I wonder how long I've waited for this day.
Today, the doctor finally gave me the seal of approval that I'm completely recovered, and said that it's okay to move around a little more roughly. The midterm exams are over, so I'm even happier.
Well, I can't just be happy.
I haven't been able to move my body properly for a while, so I'll need some rehabilitation before I can move properly in a real fight. I've been working on my recovery menu since I was concentrating on my treatment, so I can start doing it tomorrow. I hope everyone looks forward to it.
Oh, and the report I asked the lab to send during the exam period has arrived. It's a report on Fuuka Yamagishi, the student with potential who was confirmed at the hospital before and has been undergoing detailed investigation since then.
However, I was looking forward to it, but from what Junpei said today, it seems that she is sickly and often misses school. It's a shame, since the report said that not only was she suited to the Dark Hour, but he also had a good chance of using her Persona abilities.
To be honest, I can't really give up, but as long as there's even one cause for concern, I don't want to push it. We must never again cause tragedy by relying on optimism...
Well, it's Takeba.
The first Sunday since my exams!
Well, I guess I was pretty stressed out from the exams, so today I was pretty impulsive... and I did a ton of shopping, hahaha.
I know I should say this after I've already bought things, but mail order is a monster, isn't it!? In hindsight, I don't really need these things, but when I watch the show, I just want them so badly...
Yeah, that's right.
Right now I'm regretting that I bought something I didn't need. A multi-purpose apron... what should I do? Ugh, it was Takeba.
5/25 (Mon) - Reporter: Mitsuru Kirijo
It's Kirijo. The results of the midterm exams were announced today. Akihiko was amazing! Excellent!
He had a hard time returning to the fight, and he seemed to be quite anxious before the exams, so I was worried he might lose his concentration, but he did a great job.
I told him that, but he turned his back on me, saying that he had to do it because it would set an example for his juniors. He's really not honest...
I'm a bit worried about the others. The leader seems to have been doing his best, but Takeba seems to have been staying in her room every day.
It seems she ended up with average results, and Junpei was... unbelievable.
As expected, they must be tired from going to Tartarus and defeating large shadows one after another. Although they look energetic, we need their help, but we can't let our activities affect their studies... We should be a little careful.
5/26 (Tue) - Reporter: Akihiko Sanada
Seriously... if you're going to make that much of a fuss then you should have just studied properly from the beginning.
Ah, sorry. Just when I came out of my room, I heard some voices coming from Junpei's room saying things like "Pathetic" and "What am I doing?", just pathetic and wondering what he was doing. Well, I guess it's understandable with those terrible test results.
Mitsuru was also quite upset about the grades of her juniors, but this was something that couldn't be helped unless everyone put in an effort. After hearing that shout, Junpei would probably think things through properly next time. Probably.
Plus, we happen to be living in the same dorm.
If push comes to shove, no matter how much he doesn't want to do it, I'll just force my way into his room and make him do some pre-exam practice.
Intensive training...that's a good word. I'm looking forward to the final exams.
By the way, we are still investigating Yamagishi. Let's hope she will become a valuable addition to our team.
5/27 (Wed) - Reporter: Junpei Iori
O-ki-na-wa!
âŚOh, no, they were talking about Okinawa's beach opening on the evening news, so I just did it.
I was talking about that, so I just did it.
So, it's Junpei! The sea is really nice. My exams are over, and I want to have some fun, but I don't have any money or time... Ugh, I'm not going to be able to go to the sea for the rest of my life.
I feel like I say this every summer...ugh.
But the sea is nice. Blue sky! Black bikini! White sand! Red bikini! I want to go and play. Oh, by the way, what happened to the new girl? Does she like the sea?
5/28 (Thu) - Reporter: Mitsuru Kirijo
It's Kirijo. As always, Iori's report seems... stupid.
Well, from the beginning, I started these reports as just a memo for myself, and I don't have any strict reporting obligations. I'm just going to blurt out what I want to say, and if that makes me feel better, then that's fine.
It's good to use even if you're in the middle of nowhere.
Oh, speaking of Iori, I overheard him talking to Takeba in the lounge today, and it seemed like he was worried about his poor grades. It's easy to tell them to study, but I'll think about what I can do to help them more.
However... I noticed while Iori spoke that Magician's Arcana should have high magical power, so why does Iori's Hermes have such low magical power... Maybe next time, I'll get permission from him and study the correlation between abilities and Persona parameters? It's hard to find samples like that...
5/29 (Fri) - Reporter: Yukari Takeba
Uh, this is Takeba.
The exams are finally over, and there's some good news that we might even be hiring a new female member, so I should be in a good mood, but I'm in a bit of a bad mood today.
I overheard an unpleasant conversation in the school corridor...it was bullying.
I don't know who they were, but the two girls who seemed to be the bullies were talking about how they'd found out someone's weakness and how funny her crying face was, and stuff like that... and they were laughing out loud. Well, it wasn't an unusual story, so I just thought, "They must be bored," but... I ended up feeling annoyed afterwards.
Right now I have the power to call a Persona, right? Regardless of the type of power, the power is there to accomplish something, right? But even seeing that bullying scene and not being able to do anything...it's pathetic.
Sorry for complaining again. This was Takeba!
5/30 (Sat) - Reporter: Yukari Takeba
Well, it's Takeba for the second day in a row.
I was wondering what to do, but Kirijo-senpai asked me to keep a record of the matter, so I will continue on.
I don't know if it's related to the bullying issue I reported yesterday, but I found one of the girls I'd heard talking yesterday infront of the school gates this morning.
Yesterday, she was saying things like she was hearing voices and things that sounded like radio waves, so I thought something was a little strange...
6/1 (Mon) - Reporter: Mitsuru Kirijo
However, I don't know the details. I hope it was a coincidence. This was Takeba.
It's Kirijo... *sigh*. Well, something funny happened today. I couldn't help but laugh at the memory. Today's top news, which makes both Iori and Takeba laugh, is, without a doubt, the Junpei's Believe It Or Don't. I didn't know much about it, but apparently there was a comedian who told ghost stories, and Iori was imitating him. Akihiko says it sounds pretty similar, but even if you don't know the original comedian, it was still enjoyable.
To give a brief background, a rumor has spread around the school that a girl from class E in year 2 was found collapsed in front of the school gates, and that it was the work of a vengeful spirit. Iori told it in the form of a ghost story, but Takeba, who seems to have a hard time with ghosts, rebelled against it, and for some reason, he ended up investigating the truth of the ghost story.
I had originally planned to rely on them to at least conduct an investigation, but, how should I put it, the way Takeba was rushing headlong towards self-destruction... hehehe.
6/2 (Tue) - Reporter: Yukari Takeba
Um... My name is Takeba.
I can't sleep.
Since yesterday, I've given up Tartarus and I've been gathering information on ghosts... er, rumors, and everything I see, er... look weird.
I'm going to sleep with the TV on all night tonight...This was Takeba.
6/3 (Wed) - Reporter: Junpei Iori
Good evening. It's time for Junpei Iori's report.
...Huh, to be honest, I've had enough of ghost stories.
Yuka-tan said that she's going to hold a report meeting and gather all the information she heard on Friday, but it's not that easy to gather information.
Oh, it's not that she can't find any information... it's just that there's too much.
If you walk down the hallway, 9 times out of 10 people are telling ghost stories. The remaining one seems to be about next week's "Phoenix Sentai Featherman R". I think next time, Swan will sing the full solo version of the theme song by herself or something.
Oh, well, leave Featherman aside. Anyway, there's way too much information! Is this what they call the information society's Heigai?
The ghost story I heard today was also a big mess, with one rumor leading to another and mixing with another... Anyway, the ghost story about how if you listen to the mysterious old lady's broadcast, you'll die covered in blood, I think I heard it as a rumor in a public school when I was in middle school. It's just too much to handle. I'm really tired.
6/7 (Sun) - Reporter: Mitsuru Kirijo
Come to think of it, the leader seemed to be doing some research. He was talking to someone from another class, which is unusual. He does things quietly. Well, I'll let it go for me now.
6/4 (Thu) - Reporter: Yukari Takeba
Eh... fuwaaah, it's Takeba. Uh, I was complaining the other day that I couldn't sleep, but today I'm actually really sleepy. Maybe it's because I was thinking about ghost stories so much last night, but I had a really bad dream... I'm a little sleep-deprived. It was bad during class.
I don't remember the details of the dream very well, I was locked in the school at night, and I was wandering around half crying, when suddenly the place changed to Tartarus. I suddenly had a bow and an Evoker, so this time I was charging ahead with all my might, but suddenly a shadow appeared, took off his mask and said, "How jealous of you"... he had Oiwa-san's face.
Ah, but the investigation is progressing smoothly. From the information we gathered yesterday and today, we found a small commonality among the victims. Ah, I forgot to mention this. There are multiple victims. Tomorrow, we will verify it and announce it at the briefing tonight. We will have the results next week, so please look forward to it. This was Takeba.
6/5 (Fri) - Reporter: Akihiko Sanada
Takeba seems a bit enthusiastic. She said she'd go to the site tomorrow, but please don't do anything dangerous.
Well, those guys are no amateurs. They're quite skilled. Even though it's a hangout for delinquents, they won't fall behind that much... I should contact him... No, that's impossible...
6/6 (Sat) - Reporter: Mitsuru Kirijo
This is Kirijo.
No, I don't know where I started, but today was a tough day.
I trusted them... No, I still trust them fully, but as second-year high school students, they seem to lack thoughtfulness. Well, if that's what they're saying, we third-years should have guided them with that in mind. Let's be happy about their safe return.
Tonight, they went to a delinquent hangout outside Port Island Station. I'd heard the rumors, but it seems that the lawlessness of the place was terrible. They seemed to have escaped a close call, but I'll tell them to be careful for a while.
However, there was a big gain. According to information obtained at the hangout, Fuuka Yamagishi, a potential member of the team, has been missing for the past week. Also, the girl who collapsed at school is said to be part of the group that was bullying Yamagishi. At worst, Yamagishi may be the mastermind behind this incident...
No, let's stop speculating. First, we need to hear the details from the homeroom teacher who covered up Yamagishi's disappearance - was his name Ekoda?
Now, what should we do...? Come to think of it, it seems that the one who helped Takeba and the others was Aragaki, who just happened to be there. I realized by chance that I had still not lost touch with him.
It's Kirijo. It's been a while since I've been reporting this in a row. Perhaps they're still tired from yesterday's "investigation" or perhaps they played too much on Sunday, but all the second-years are already asleep. I monitored them during the Dark Hour just now, and they seem to be fast asleep without even turning over.
Today, there was something that bothered me a little. Apparently the second-years all stopped by a shrine during the day, and while they were talking about it, I heard the name "Amada."
At first, I just thought it was a name I'd heard somewhere before, but I'm sure the victim of the accident three years ago had the same name...
6/8 (Mon) - Reporter: Junpei Iori
I'm seriously dead today... Oh, crap, report, report. Huh...? No, you see, when you get lost in the Dark Hour, your memories are somehow erased, that's common knowledge for Persona Users, right?
Well, it's a bit late now though.
Ugh, sorry. I'm so tired and just want to go to sleep.
Umm, can I just post them all together?
A girl named Fuuka Yamagishi was locked in the gym because of bullying, and ended up wandering into Tartarus. The reason she was safe after being lost for a week was because, while time here stops during the Dark Hour, time there also stops outside of the Dark Hour... or so I think.
When examining the clock on the bike/backup equipment that Kirijo-senpai brought to Tartarus, it seems that you can tell the difference in the movement of time inside and outside... or so it seems. Hmm, it's complicated and I don't really get it.
So, we sneaked into the school in the middle of the night, took the same route as Yamagishi and entered Tartarus, and a large Shadow appeared, but we defeated it with our efforts, um... was there anything else? Ah, that's right. Yamagishi's Persona was amazing. It seemed to have a radar-like function, and can see all the enemy's weaknesses!
Oh, by the way, Kirijo-senpai has an unexpected lack of humor. If I said she was cute, I'd probably get punched. Well, I thought she was hard to get along with, so I've changed my opinion of her a little. Oh, I forgot something important! The large Shadows appear on the full moon! A customer who comes once a month! This is important information!
6/9 (Tue) - Reporter: Yukari Takeba
Well, it's Takeba. Today, Kirijo-senpai and Sanada-senpai are away visiting Yamagishi-san and their friend Moriyama-san. So, Tartarus is on a break. I'm still tired from fighting a large Shadow, so I'm not in the mood for Tartarus anyway. Oh, did I mention I was watching over Yamagishi-san? But it's not like I'm being selfish or anything.
On the contrary, she was extremely effective in the battle against the large Shadow, and it feels like she might be the strongest. Now she's collapsed from exhaustion because she used all her powers at once, so she's been hospitalized just to be safe.
If I had that kind of power, I guess I would join in... but this time she learned that SEES' missions are life-threatening. It would be great if she would join, but I don't want to force her. Ah, but the leader was quite welcoming and pulled her in...
Ugh, I'm thinking about a lot of things. Anyway, I'm really glad that Yamagishi-san is safe and that we were able to defeat the Shadow. This was Takeba.
6/10 (Wed) - Reporter: Mitsuru Kirijo
It's Kirijo. Seriously, if I had taken my eyes off Iori for just a second, he'd have been a complete flop... What a poke. I admit that I do lack common sense in some areas, but... Oh well.
Well, today after I returned from visiting Yamagishi and Moriyama, I did some light sword training.
With Yamagishi joining the team, I will likely be on the front lines as well, so this is training for that.
The fencing club was on a break due to the midterm exams, and I didn't go to club activities as often as I thought because of my Student Council activities. It seems my skills have deteriorated more than I thought. I'm trying to be a little better so as not to be a burden to the hard-working second-year students.
I need to train hard.
Not only the leader and Yamagishi have shown remarkable abilities, but Iori and Takeba also have something special, even though they are still developing. As one of the original members of SEES... I can't lose. Maybe I should follow Akihiko's example and try that "special training" thing once in a while?
6/11 (Thu) - Reporter: Yukari Takeba
Ah, it's Takeba.
Good news... Yamagishi-san has been accepted into SEES. Kirijo-senpai's invitation seemed a bit pushy, and I was a bit worried she wouldn't accept, but she seemed keen...
For now, Junpei is simply happy. He's a really enviable guy. This was Takeba.
6/12 (Fri) - Reporter: Junpei Iori
Hi, Junpei here! Today is truly a joyous and memorable day! Ahem... congratulations to our newest member, Miss Fuuka Yamagishi, on moving into the Iwatodai dormitory! Hip, hip, hooray! Yay! Cheers to our new friend, Fuuka!
Gulp gulp gulp... Phew! Oh, it's not alcohol. It's just Yotsuya sake.
Well, today Fuuka moved into the dorm, and I'm always excited to meet new people. Hehehe, it's good to have more members.
Yukari-chan seems a bit indecisive, but since they're both women, they'll quickly become friends. I heard that she was scheduled to move into the dormitory tomorrow, but it seems like she couldn't wait. Yeah, that's not bad!
6/21 (Sun) - Reporter: Junpei Iori
Ah, speaking of Fuuka... It seems like her homeroom teacher, Ekoda, has been punished for this incident, but I guess this was the work of the seniors... Well, even us students were getting annoyed with his nasty remarks, so it was like, "Serves him right!" When I asked Senpai the truth, she grinned and said, "Do you want to know, Iori?" No, that smile was probably many times scarier than when Senpai was angry. Ugh, so scary! I have to make sure I don't say anything unnecessary.
6/16 (Tue) - Reporter: Fuuka Yamagishi
H-hello! Oh, no. Good evening... Um, it's Fuuka Yamagishi.
From now on, I'll be in charge of all the backup stuff, so Kirijo-senpai showed me around the operations room... but for some reason, I'm also doing this activity report thing...
âŚEh? Is that so? Ah, ah, sorry! You couldn't hear me just now, right? She told me not to worry about it, since it was just a formality, even though it was a report.
So... that's right. Can I just give you my impressions of the operations room's functions? The facilities here are really amazing. I've heard that Kirijo Electronics' technology is the most advanced in the world, but this equipment is even more advanced. Apparently, they're still using prototypes for testing... I never thought I'd be able to touch such amazing machines in a club activity, it's like a dream come true. I'm not sure how much I can help you with, but I'll do my best, so please look after me.
Was it a bit... stiff?
Oh, so I saw an interesting topic on the news today, so I'd like to share it with you... Well, it seems that a new vehicle control system for new urban transit systems is currently under development. After the monorail accident the other day, in order to prevent a similar accident... Wait, what?! That accident was caused by Shadow?!
6/17 (Wed) - Reporter: Akihiko Sanada
It's going so well that I feel a little guilty for suddenly increasing our fighting power and feeling strangely relieved.
If the hypothesis we discovered this time is correct, there will be about three weeks until the next full moon and the appearance of a large Shadow. We've made a strengthening plan to match this schedule, and thanks to Yamagishi, our new navigator, the exploration of Tartarus is going well, so on the surface there are no problems. Nothing.
But as the saying goes, good things come with many troubles.
It's times like these that we need to be on our toes and do our best. Especially Junpei... Ah, maybe I'm being a bit harsh. Junpei, you're doing well too. Don't worry about it.
6/18 (Thu) - Reporter: Junpei Iori
H-h-hi, it's Junpei.
For some reason, the last thing Sanada-san said yesterday is bothering me... At times like this, I'm usually the first one to be told off, so I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't worry about it and follow me. But actually, when you're nice to me, it really makes me feel down...
Well, well, please do as usual! Um, nothing special happened today... I guess? Oh, that reminds me, the school was recruiting new cultural clubs. Fuuka has also returned to club activities, so that's great! Um, which club was it? Art club... Photography club? Huh? Well, please ask her.
6/19 (Fri) Reporter: Yukari Takeba
Well, it's Takeba.
You may not have noticed, but I've been thinking about some weird things lately, and I may have been acting awkward around my senpais. I'm sorry if it offended you!
It's fine if you don't understand. I'll do my best as I have been doing.
Changing the subject... but the day before yesterday on TV there was a program called "Approaching the Real Face of the Kirijo Group!" It was a program that made things weirdly scandalous and like a third-rate scoop magazine. It made me feel bad watching it, but if you're just looking from the outside, you can make the other person out to be the bad guy as much as you want. Seriously... if you have a complaint, you should find out the truth before you say anything! I feel like that. I also tend to go ahead with my speculations, so I'm a bit remorseful.
...Ahaha, you don't know what I'm talking about, do you? That's all for today. This was Takeba.
6/20 (Sat) - Reporter: Fuuka Yamagishi
Good evening, this is Yamagishi.
I heard some unbelievable things today. 12 types of Shadow... 8 remaining. I had no idea that research had progressed to the point where we knew such detailed information. I'm a latecomer compared to you all, so I have to learn more and more things. I'll do my best.
By the way, the Chairman was researching the purpose of Shadows, and he said that individual Shadows attack people for "predation", but... I feel that's not quite right.
My persona... Lucia seems to have the power to sense the hearts of people around me. It's not quite telepathy, but I can sense small emotions and instinctive desires. Well, what I'm trying to say is... when I was locked up in Tartarus, I felt the hearts of shadows. It wasn't like an appetite...to put it into words...it was like they were saying "I want to go home"...
Hi, it's Junpei.
Today, Kirijo-senpai and Sanada-san are out, so Tartarus is closed. Kirijo-senpai seems to have gone to her main house, but I wonder what Sanada-san did?
It was dinner time when he went out, so I guess he ate somewhere around Iwatodai Station! Then he got full and sleepy, and didn't feel like going to Tartarus! Also, I guess the dinner menu was Umiushi beef bowl!
Well, I don't really care.
6/24 (Wed) - Reporter: Junpei Iori
By the way, I heard that a dog came in front of the dorm in the evening. They said it was a smart, cute, loyal dog, but I wanted to see it. I quite like dogs.
6/22 (Mon) - Reporter: Akihiko Sanada
Too bad, Junpei lost. Yesterday was pure training. That's right. As a penalty for not winning, I'll have him join me in some early morning training tomorrow.
âŚI'm not joking, I'm telling you, I'm not kidding.
Well, lately, both Mitsuru and I have been out a lot, so I thought that we might have been neglecting our training at Tartarus. Since this is a good opportunity, I'll make a training menu for Junpei and the others.
The field leader is fine for now, but sometimes he seems a little lacking in spirit. Well, I think he's just quiet, but let's train together sometimes to deepen our friendship.
I'm worried about Takeba. She seems to be out of her mind lately... She seemed to be worried in her report the other day. We're only one year apart in age, so I know it's hard to trust us. But if you want, I'll give you some advice. Keep that in mind.
6/23 (Tue) - Reporter: Mitsuru Kirijo
It's Kirijo.
Fufu... Akihiko, you're saying things like a senpai would. I can't let myself lose.
Not only Takeba, but also Iori and Yamagishi, if anything happens, please come and talk to us. We may not be as reliable as adults, but we are the same generation and can share the same worries.
That being said, it's not like you can spill everything you're feeling. Everyone has things they can't tell others. But if you trust us, we'll do our best to help you.
Well, I've digressed. Let's get back to today's report. Today is a new moon. With half a month left until the full moon, an increase in the number of people with Apathy Syndrome has been observed again. Today, the news were broadcasting someone suddenly squatting on the road and blocking traffic, and it seems that this person was also apathetic.
Fortunately, so far, the accidents have been limited to just after the Dark Hour, when traffic is light, so there have been no major casualties. ...Well, the fact that some people have become apathetic means that there has been enough damage. In any case, we will be fully prepared for the full moon. That's all.
Oh, that's right. Akihiko, where did you go without saying anything today? I don't mind you going out, but Tartarus is coming up in the evening. If possible, it would be helpful if you could leave a message. And...it seemed to me that you didn't have much energy when you got back. It's fine to be worried about your juniors, but don't neglect your own troubles. Got it?
Hi, it's Junpei.
Hehe... Ukukuku... well, Kirijo-senpai's report the other day was about how worried she was about us and it made me really happy, but... there was one thing that really hit the spot.
Umm, the part at the top that says "Takeba, Yamagishi, and Iori should talk to each other"...oh, the leader has been forgotten.
Hey! Ahahahaha!
Oh man, sorry sorry, that was a bit too funny. Well, as Sanada-san said today, I get the impression that he doesn't worry too much and just gets on with things calmly, right? Sanada-san said he doesn't envy him, but honestly, I do.
No, you see, I'm at an age where I have a lot of worries, right? Bad grades at school, worries about not being able to get a girlfriend, I'm on the verge of going bald from all the worries... but I should point out that I'm not actually bald, I just have street fashion.
...
Now, back to serious matters... I appreciate your concern, Kirijo-senpai. Thank you. But at least I am okay. That doesn't mean I don't have any worries... I have to figure them out and solve them myself.
More importantly, are you okay, Sanada-senpai?
Today you seemed worried in front of the boxing club room. You've been working hard ever since you came back, so maybe you're tired?
6/26 (Fri) - Reporter: Fuuka Yamagishi
I may not be able to be of much help to you, but if there's anything I can help you with, please let me know.
6/25 (Thu) - Reporter: Yukari Takeba
Hmm, it's Takeba.
Junpei... What do you mean, "an age full of worries"? And your worry is "not being able to get a girlfriend"?
Oh, gross.
Really gross.
It's a bit weird to live under the same roof as this guy, so I'm going to submit a motion to move Junpei's room to the roof.
Now, back to serious matters... I appreciate Kirijo-senpai's consideration. Thank you. But at least I'm okay. That doesn't mean I don't have any worries... I have to check and solve them myself.
More importantly, are you okay, Sanada-senpai?
Junpei said today that you looked worried in front of the boxing club room. You've been working hard since you came back, so maybe you're tired?
We may not be able to rely on you, but if there's anything I can help you with, please let me know. This was Takeba.
Good evening, this is Yamagishi.
I feel like I've gotten used to these activity reports. But when I listen to the records from the past, I think they feel more like a communication notebook than an activity report. Hehe.
But I think it's good. This way, we can communicate our feelings and understand each other.
Wouldnât it be wonderful if that were the case?
Until recently, I was always thinking about how my words were not being understood by the people around me. But it's not like that here. Everyone, is considerate of each other. Even today, the Chairman of the board of directors came all the way out of his way to come... Well, there is a limit to what you can say, though. Phew...

Portland, OR Rose City Comic Con Day 1 [Unknown number] hey, i hope youâve made it safely [Unknown number] in case it wasnât clear, this is alex. iâll catch you later. maybe we can grab a bite or something after todayâs panel? Henry saves Alexâs number and confirms that yes, heâs arrived in one piece and would be happy to join Alex after the event. All of this is still wrapped in impossibility for Henry. Even though heâd been fully briefed on the tour and signed his contract, the fact that heâs now embarking on a multi-city tour with Alex hasnât sunk in yet. The six and a half hour long flight didnât do much to lessen the surrealness and now that heâs here at the venue, Henry doesnât see an end in sight to the feeling. The convention center is, in a word, daunting. For as much as Henry loves Lord of the Rings and Star Wars, he canât say his appreciation for the franchises has ever been this devout or even close to it. All around him people are decked out in elaborate, truly remarkable costumes. Some are easy to ID like Doctor Who and Marvel characters. But others are so obscure that Henry canât even hazard a guess. Itâs overwhelming but also kind of intriguing too, seeing people be wholly themselves and embrace the things they love. He forces himself to focus up as he grabs a directory map of the conventionâs floor plan for reference before going up to one of the booths for his credentials. With his badge secured, he looks at the map again and makes his way over to where Alexâs panel is being held in one of the larger rooms. It takes him some time to find it; the convention center is practically a maze. But he spots a blowup outside the door clearly marking the panel, Supernatural in the Mainstream. By the time he gets inside, the room is packed and the excited chatter is practically tangible.Â
Henry spots a few Crescent Valley fans in t-shirts referencing the show. Admittedly Henry still hasnât started the series, but before he hopped his flight out of JFK, Pez spent the vast majority of their last few days together giving Henry a pretty substantial rundown of the essentials, including some cast trivia. Most notable from the recap was learning that Alex had dated one of his co-stars, Nora Holleran, during season two. Henry decided it was none of his businessâ only after doing a Google search on her.
Even with the knowledge that the show resonated with so many people while it aired, itâs strange to reconcile it with the fact that the guy he met on a whim at a bar is part of such a cultural force.
After a few moments, a woman takes to the stage, introducing herself as the moderator. The audience is ravenous as she introduces the panelists and Henry almost goes deaf from the screams Alex earns when his name is called.
Henry studies Alex as he crosses the stage, waving to fans and putting a hand to his heart in appreciation for the warm reception. The large monitors on either side of the stage zoom in on his face and the sincere gratitude Alex feels is plain as day in his eyes.
âAlright, letâs get started, shall we?â the moderator says to kick things off.
Alex in his element during the panel, magnetic really. Even though heâs one of four panelists, itâs so clear to see how he effortlessly draws people in.Â
Henry takes out his notebook, hoping to glean something in any of Alexâs responses to the questions directed at him that can be a kernel of an idea they can turn into the core of this book.
He canât shake Alexâs words during their lunch with Zahra, the way it seemed that Alex sincerely wanted his book to be about something real.Â
Vanity cash grab celeb autobiographies were a dime a dozen. Henry figured for people who lived so heavily in the spotlight, it probably felt like the natural progression of things. But with Alex and his team being so adamant in their search, scouring through profiles in hopes of finding the right person to pen Alexâs story, he had to believe this book would actually stand for something other than more dollars in their pockets.
There isnât much that Henry is able to take away for research other than noting the way people gravitate towards Alex. More than once, heâd actually seen people in the audience quite literally shift to the edge of their seats as he spoke.
When the panel is over, Henry fights against the current of attendees to make his way backstage. He presents his badge to the man at the entrance who gives it a once-over before deeming it to be authentic and ushering Henry through the curtain.
Alex is easy to spot, holding court just as heâd done on stage before, this time with a small audience of just the moderator and his fellow panelists. Heâs got a water bottle in his hands, preparing to take a sip when he catches sight of Henry instantly and politely excuses himself from the group.
âYou survived day one. Howâd you like it?â he asks.
âYour world is very different from mine, but itâs pretty cool,â Henry admits.
âGood, I'm glad to hear it.â
Thereâs a lull as Alex looks him over and Henry suddenly feels oddly self-conscious and small. Seeing this side of Alex, the sheer star power, is a bit overwhelming.
âYou're done for the day, right? I took another look at the itinerary this morning. Youâve got the signing tomorrow, yes?â
Alex nods. âYeah, Iâm all yours starting now.â The manâs face instantly flushes. âYou know what I mean.â
Henry offers up a smile that feels more like a white flag.Â
âWe should head out,â Alex says.
He moves away and heads back to the others in the room, making his parting remarks before touching Henryâs elbow and guiding him to a set of double doors he hadnât initially noticed when he entered. Henry is treated to a glimpse of the convention centerâs underbelly, the private exit that leads them to a secluded area outside on the street level.
Henry is sure itâs probably all in his mind, but now that itâs back to just him and Alex, away from the adoring fans and bright lights of a main stage, the man standing before him now is someone else entirely again. Henry wonders if heâll ever be able to wrap his head around the two versions of Alex that exist in this world.
âThereâs a park not too far from here. Do you want to walk around for a bit?â Alex asks.
Itâs a random ask but Henry is glad for it. Heâs not sure what to do with himself as they try and find their rhythm around each other.
They make it to the park a few minutes later and walk alongside the edge of a small pond.
Henry turns to attempt starting a conversation and it seems as if Alex had the same thought too; they bump arms immediately and both rush to apologize.
Henry sighs and stops walking.
âI have to ask. Are you still sure about this?âÂ
Alexâs eyebrows furrow.Â
âWhat do you mean? This walk?â
Henry crosses his arms and gives him a dry look.
âAh. You being on this project then,â Alex says.
Henry nods.Â
Alex looks at him. âOf course I am. I wonât lie, it is a bit of a mindfuck when I stop and really consider it. Iâm still trying to figure out how to be around you. But my opinion on your work? My decision to collaborate with you? That hasnât changed. Not one bit. So, yeah, we had a good night. Great conversation and even better sex,â he muses. âBut I can forget it if you can.â
Henry snorts out a laugh in surprise that he quickly tries in vain to cover up as a sneeze. Alex, rightfully, doesnât buy it though Henry wishes desperately that he would. He hates the way Alexâs face falls.Â
âAre youâŚdo you mean you didnât enjoy it? That I wasnâtâŚ,â Alex trails off.
Henryâs basic functions betray him and his mouth merely opens and closes like a landlocked fish struggling for breath.
In the end, no response is an answer within itself and Henry watches the varying degrees of what can only be described as horror play out across Alexâs face.
Goodbye tour, goodbye contract, Henry thinks. All gone before it even truly got started.
For a man that writes for a living, Henry falls short on what to say. How could he possibly salvage this now?
âIâŚitâŚ,â he flounders.Â
Bang up job, Henry, he internally chides.
âOh, my god. Oh, my fucking god,â Alex whispers to himself. âCrap, thatâs why you snuck out then, isnât it?â
Henry winces. While that is an astute, wholly accurate description of what he did last week, hearing it so plainly â and from Alexâs lips no lessâ just makes it sound that much harsher.
âMaybe it was just an off night. It happens sometimes. But look, we donât have to talk about it. Like you said, we can both forget it ever happened. Today can be our official day one.â
Alex shakes his head, refusing to let it go.
âNo. What didnât you like about it?â
âAlex, come on. Seriously. We donât have to get into it.â
Alex takes a step closer.
âPlease? I want to know what I did wrong.â
Henry frowns.
âThatâs harsh; donât frame it like that. Just think of it asâŚareas of improvement.â
Alex crosses his arms. âThat isnât much better, but I guess youâre right.â Alex pauses. âOkay then, what do I need to work on?â
Henry groans and looks up at the sky.
âIâŚhow is this happening right now?â Henry mutters to himself, rubbing his forehead and turning his eyes to the water.
He gets a wild fantasy of jumping into the pond and hiding in its depths to avoid this conversation. Could he hold his breath long enough to wait Alex out? Heâd be willing to test that hypothesis if it meant even five seconds away from this talk.
When he looks back at Alex, the manâs eyes are unwavering and Henryâs instantly transported to the night in question. To how wide eyed and earnest Alex had been after they had sex and he checked in. It makes something in his chest crack a little, enough to put a hole in the wall he hoped to build around the truth.
âWell, the handjob was a bitâŚrigid. And when you were working to open me up, that felt a touch awkward. And then when you were actually inside me, it was rushed and uh, a tad repetitive. You were enthusiastic, which was nice, but I couldnât quite mirror that.â
He hopes his answer is diplomatic, but he knows thereâs simply no easy way to say any of this.Â
Alexâs brows knit together deeply and it feels like a lifetime before he speaks again.
âSoâŚsex. Youâre telling me Iâm just straight up bad at sex as a whole?â
Henry groans and slaps the palm of his hand against his forehead.
âLike I said, it could have been an off night. We were drinking, we were both overexcited. The room was cursed or perhaps I really was, remember? Thereâs a lot at play here.â
Alex is quiet again, too quiet for Henryâs likings. Henry awkwardly scratches the side of his nose and rocks slightly on the balls of his feet as Alex stares off at nothing before turning his gaze back on Henry.
âIâll take this into consideration. Thank you, Henry. I appreciate your honesty.â
Itâs clinical and closed off and Henry wishes he could take back the last few minutes. But the truth is out there, the ball squarely in Alexâs court and Henry canât help the sinking feeling that heâs about to lose it all.
~*~*~
Rose City Con
Day 2
Much like yesterday, Alex continues to be incredible with fans. Itâs only a signing today, but Alexâs energy is on one hundred for each and every person that comes his way. He poses for pictures and makes good conversation with fans. He asks them questions, learns a bit about each of them. Itâs clear to see the knack he has for making everyone feel like theyâre having a unique, truly personal interaction with him.
Several people come up to him already in tears and overwhelmed, but Alex doesnât seem fazed by it at all. Henry is impressed with the way Alex puts them all at ease in no time, cracking jokes as he signs merch.
Henry has no clue how Alex manages to keep his enthusiasm going for hundreds of people. The fact that this is only the first city makes his head spin. Heâs not even the one engaging with people and yet Henry feels exhausted merely watching Alex in action.
Henry barely managed to sleep last night. Each time he closed his eyes, he was brought right back to the waterâs edge with Alex, replaying every painstaking moment of their conversation.Â
There was no time to talk about it this morning. The last thing Henry wanted to do was throw a wrench in Alexâs day when he had this signing scheduled.
Looking at Alex now, it makes Henry commend actors for their ability to truly compartmentalize and put their focus where it needs to be.
Once the signing wraps and the final Crescent Valley fan is off with a bag full of newly inked merch, Henry sees the first crack in Alexâs mask. His shoulders sag a little and he rolls his neck from side to side before standing.
He hops down from the slightly raised platform he was seated on. Henry walks towards him without really thinking about it.
âAre you heading back to the hotel now?â Alex asks.
Henry cocks his head to the side, adjusting the strap of his bag.
âI was going toâŚunless, do you have something else you need me to shadow you on?â
Alex shakes his head.
âNo. I was hoping we could talk.âÂ
Henry looks around. There are still some stragglers from other signing lines though theyâre out of earshot.
âWe can go back together,â Alex says decidedly.Â
They take a car service back to their hotel and Henry is all too relieved once theyâre outside again. The ride over was silent and heavy with the weight of whatever Alex wanted to say but couldnât in the moment.
All that free time merely left Henry with a thirty minute window to dream up scenarios of what Alex wanted to discuss. Every single one of them ended in him being fired and pulled from the tour.
âCan we go to your room?â Alex asks.
Henry nods stiffly. He figures maybe itâs for the best. At least heâd be able to pack his things immediately after Alex chewed him out and sent him on his merry way back across the country to New York.
For now, three thousand miles donât separate them, merely three feet as they head up the elevator.Â
A feeling of dĂŠjĂ vu sweeps through Henry, but this evening couldnât be any more different than the night they met. Instead of crowding each otherâs space and making out, they keep enough distance that their clothes donât even come close enough to touching, never mind any other parts of them.
Henry lets them into his room and pockets his keycard as he steps inside. The door slamming shut behind Alex sounds ominous though Henry fully recognizes thatâs probably his irrational brain conjuring the sense of foreboding.
âSoâŚyou wanted to talk,â he says, toeing off his shoes and setting them neatly along the wall. The sooner they got this over with, the better.
Alex nods, crossing his arms against his chest, his hands holding firm to his biceps. The positioning makes him look so small suddenly, vulnerable even. Itâs such a sharp contrast to the energy Alex had with fans not too long ago.Â
The enigma of Alex Claremont-Diaz continued to baffle him.
âAfter we spoke yesterday, I took some time to think about everything. I decided to do some research,â Alex says. âI went back to past partners to see if they shared your point of view.â
This isnât at all where Henry thought this conversation was going. All the same, he plays along, still bracing for the worst. This could all well be a roundabout way of him getting the axe.
âAnd what were the results of your findings?â he asks.
âThey were inconclusive. They all said they never faked it with me which got me thinking again. Thereâs a factor to consider here that varies from the others.â
Henry's confusion must register on his face because Alex sighs and rubs his face.
âIâve recentlyâŚuncovered something about myself that probably should have been super obvious to me. But hey, you know what they say about hindsight.âÂ
Alex groans in frustration at himself.
âCan you, like, just face the wall or something? Iâd really rather not have to look at you when I say what Iâm about to.âÂ
âYour ridiculousness truly knows no bounds, does it?â Henry huffs but Alex quickly levels him with a glare.
Henry holds his hands up in defense, knowing a lost cause when he sees one.
âFine, fine,â he says, turning away.Â
He can see Alex in the reflection of the TV screen and a part of him feels guilty for not owning up to this fact when sees the tension in the manâs shoulders and watches as Alex shakes his hands as if warding something off.
âMy past partners were all women. Itâs come to my attention in recent weeks that Iâm bi and the night we hooked upâŚthat may or may not have been the first time I had sex with a guy. So maybe, just maybe, I wasnât stellar at it for what I think is a pretty valid reason when you think about it.â
Henry turns back so suddenly the soles of his clothed feet scrape against the carpet. Heâll think of the rugburn later, but for now, there are bigger things to focus on.
âAlex,â he says, unsure of where to even go next. His mind is racing so quickly, itâs hard to make sense of anything right now, not with Alexâs confession laying bare before him.Â
âYour shoulders barely even fit through doorways so I donât want your head getting big too,â Alex quips, âbutâŚI wanted to be with you that night. It felt like nothing else really mattered to me except getting into bed with you because we really vibed and I wanted to see where it could go. And I know that sounds totally lame and cheesy and probably pathetic as hell or whatever, but itâs true.â
Alex rolls his eyes at himself, stuffing his hands in the back pockets of his jeans.
âThis doesnât have to be a big deal. Hell, it doesnât even have to be a thing, period.â
âAlex,â Henry says again. This time, something in his voice must stand out because the other man finally stops talking and looks directly at him.
Henry holds his gaze for a moment, needing his words to ring clear.
âIt should be a thing because it is in fact a big deal, contrary to what you might think of the matter. Coming into your sexuality, it can be a lot mentally and emotionally. Add in making physical stridesâŚyou took a major step that night. That sort of thing isnât easy to do.â
Alex huffs out a terse laugh.
âIt was a swing and a miss.â
âIâll pretend thatâs a cricket reference instead of the tragic baseball one Iâm sure it was intended to be.â
Alexâs lips quirk into a reluctant smile just as Henry was hoping it would.
âThe only cricket Iâll acknowledge is Jiminy,â he says.
Henry laughs. âIâll allow that inane response. Weâve got more important things to discuss.â
Alex sighs and takes a seat at the edge of the bed, his head lobbing back as he looks up at the ceiling. All it does is expose his smooth neck and Henry looks away before the sight gets the better of him.
He follows Alex over and sits beside him, his hands resting on the comforter on either side of him. Alex doesnât rush to speak which Henry grows a little concerned with. Alex is hardly ever quiet or still. Seeing him like this now, Henry can practically hear the whirlwind of rushing thoughts.Â
âI should hope that by now, you know you can be honest with me. Thatâs quite literally what Iâm here for. Whateverâs on your chest, you can say and itâd be completely safe. Let your conscience be your guide and all that.â
âGod, I hate you,â Alex says, but thereâs no bite to his words, especially as he smiles softly and rests his head against Henryâs shoulder.
âThanks for being so cool about this. Part of me is still not entirely convinced I wonât be struck dead from embarrassment later but, if I had to get news like this from anyoneâŚI sure as shit am glad it was you.â
âYouâve got nothing to be embarrassed about. This just explains a lot. Iâm sure youâll only get better from here on out, now that you know.â
Alex sits up and snorts a laugh.
âAnd how many guys will I have to fuck until I get it just right?â
âIs that a riddle? A rhetorical question? Some kind of demented R-rated Goldilocks reference?â
âIâm genuinely asking here,â Alex says sincerely, enough to get Henry to quiet down. âWhat if I never figure it out and Iâm just this trash partner for dudes going forward? How many is standard for it to, you know, click?â
Henry smiles sympathetically. âI canât answer that for you.â Alex frowns, but Henry continues. âIt could be ten or it could be as little as one. Itâs different for everybody. You just need to get more comfortable with it.â
Alexâs brows furrow, his lips pinching slightly before he looks away. Itâs almost an identical look to his expression that night when he was taking his time in touching Henry for the first time.
âWhat are you thinking?â Henry asks now, unlike that night. Theyâre well past that stage of being tentative.
Alex opens and closes his mouth before shaking his head.
âNothing. Itâs nothing,â he says, getting up from the bed and running a hand through his curls.
Henry rises to his feet too as Alex turns back to him and speaks suddenly.
âIâm hungry. You hungry? What do we think the room service situation is like here, hmm? Iâm guessing high volumes of quinoa and other rabbit foods. A damn shame. I weep in Texas barbecue. Fuck, what I wouldnât give for some good barbacoa right now,â he prattles on as he tries to sidestep Henry.
Henry gently catches hold of his arm and stops him in his tracks. Alex sighs defeatedly and looks up at him.
âMaybe weâll get to a point where Iâll be able to read your mind, but until then, Iâd really like to know what youâre thinking,â Henry says. âPlease.â
Alex sighs again. âWell, when you ask so nicely.â
Henry lets go of him then and holds his gaze. The stalemate ends as Alex collects his thoughts and courage.
âI was thinking, maybe youâre onto something with that whole âone personâ thing. LikeâŚI donât know, maybe that one person could be you? You could, maybe, teach me. Show me the ropes. Or at the very least, explain how I could be better. You know, give me pointers and stuffâŚif youâd even go for that.â
Henryâs jaw drops slightly, his blood rushing and pounding in his ears. For all his ribbing and joking before, Henry can tell Alex is completely serious now.
âYou know, I canât read your mind either, right? Youâre gonna have to say something. Ideally right this second because if I thought I was out on a limb before, Iâm freefalling right now and spiraling is not cool or sexy,â Alex says.
Henry blinks twice, letting Alexâs words fully sink in.
âWaitâŚyouâd want toâŚwith me again?â
Alex rolls his eyes and throws his hands up.
âI feel like you deserve a redo. And besides, do you see any other hot British men around here who know my secret shame?â
Henry startles out a laugh.
âYou shouldnât be ashamed and we British men do not travel in packs.â
âTell that to the Redcoats. British men traveling in packs,â Alex repeats and shudders. âNo good ever came of that. Just open any history book at random.â
âMy god, do you ever stop talking?â
âUsually when my mouth is occupied in other ways.â
Henry quirks a brow.
âDown, boy. Get your mind out of the gutter. I was absolutely talking about when Iâm drinking coffee or eating food orââ
Henry puts his hands on either side of Alexâs face.
âFor the love of God, can you be quiet for two seconds so that I may think?â
Alex mirrors his raised brow.
âHoly shit, youâre actually gonna consider this?â
âDid you think I wouldnât?â Henry shakes his head and lowers his hands. âI mean, yes, there are a hundred and one reasons why we shouldnât. Chief among them being that weâre here for business not pleasure.â
âBut seeing as though we kinda shot that to hell without meaning toâŚ,â Alex supplies. âI freaking love loopholes. I really do.â
âWhy doesnât that surprise me?â
Henry looks up at the ceiling briefly before shaking his head.
âIf we do this, weâre going to have to be very, very careful. I donât want to jeopardize our working relationship. This book has to always come first.â
âOf course.â
Henry sits once more on the bed, Alex stepping close to him with his arms crossed against his chest.
âIf this were to happen, weâd need to establish some ground rules. No staying overnight in each otherâs rooms. If, for any reason, one of us wants to call it offâ,â
âNo questions asked. No awkwardness,â Alex says. âSimply not wanting to anymore would be reason enough.â
Henry nods. âYeah, exactly.â He purses his lips. âAnd it wonât be a daily thing either.â
Alex scoffs and puts his hands on his hips.
âJesus, do you think Iâm insatiable? Youâre hot, but I promise you, I can in fact exercise some self-control.â
âIn the short time that Iâve known you, I must admit thatâs coming as quite a revelation, but I suppose Iâll have to take your word for it.â
Alex rolls his eyes and smiles softly, his face a bit thoughtful. Henry canât look away as Alex speaks, especially as he takes note of Alexâs change in tone, the way he grows more serious and contemplative.
âIâm gonna make it up to you. That night.â
âYou donât owe me anything. Besides, this isnât even about me. Iâll just be here to help you figure out what your future partners might like.â
âAnd the best way for me to start with that is by learning what you like. When the time comes, yeah, Iâll figure out how to make another guy come undone. But in the meantime? These next few weeks? Itâs just me and you. I want to make you feel all the things you should have when we were together. Every sigh, every moan, every desperate breath. Iâll earn it for real this time.â
Henryâs throat feels a bit dry at the thought, at the determination in Alexâs eyes.Â
âIs that a promise then? A challenge perhaps?â he manages to say, trying to keep his composure even as he feels himself getting aroused.
Alex doesnât miss a beat as he says, âSweetheart, thatâs a goddamn guarantee.â
~*~*~
Phoenix, AZ Canyon Con
One of the best parts about agreeing to be the ghostwriter for this project is undoubtedly the ability for Henry to visit cities heâs never been to.Â
The flight to Arizona with Alex was enjoyable and this time around, theyâre set up in an AirBnB for an entire week.
Theyâve settled into their temporary new digs pretty nicely and Henry is looking forward to making further progress with Alex and this book.Â
Neither of them has actually brought up the other day and the deal theyâve struck with each other. Henry hasnât been sure how to breach the topic, but now that theyâre set to stay inside this rental for the week, it feels like itâll take true Herculean effort to ignore the elephant in the room for much longer.
He reasons that since it was Alexâs idea, heâll leave it to him to mention when heâs ready. For now, they have been able to tiptoe around it, making conversation about virtually anything else.
Henry takes up residence on the couch with his laptop, headphones on as he queues up Crescent Valley. Heâs begun watching the series as part of his research. Heâs halfway through season one and he still canât tell if he likes the show or not. Despite that indecision, he can sincerely say Alex is a pretty great actor.
The show itself is campy at best, but thereâs something very earnest in Alexâs portrayal of a newly turned vampire attempting to find balance in the two worlds heâs a part of.
Episode nine begins and for better or worse, Henry finds himself getting sucked into it. He rues the day already when heâll have to confess to Pez that he should have watched along with him back when they were roommates in university. Heâll never hear the end of it. Heâd better start preparing now for the resounding chorus of âI told you soâ.
Henryâs so wrapped up in the show that he jumps a little when he sees a figure in the doorway of the living room. Alex is now both on his screen and here in the flesh.
Henry awkwardly makes to get up, hitting pause and taking off his headphones.
âDid you want to watch television in here? I can go.â
Alexâs brows furrow a little.
âOh, no. I just wanted to hang with you. I know we havenât really had much time to sit down about the memoir yet, so maybe we could now? But if youâre busy though, we can do it later.â
Henry shakes his head and closes out of Crescent Valley. He switches over to the Google Doc he created, storing away all the notes heâs been taking from various interviews heâs watched and read of Alex.
âNow would be great. Itâs been nice seeing you out there with fans, but what Iâm still trying to understand is the reason why you want a book at this time. Whatâs the angle or message you want readers to connect with?â
Alex takes a seat on the single seater across from Henry.Â
âI want to talk about my sexuality, my ADHD, being a tragic child of divorce, the highs and lows of being in this career. But, mostly the first part.âÂ
Alex takes a deep breath and lets it out.
âI want to come out and maybe in doing so, itâll help someone else to make sense of the things they mightâve been feeling for years, but never knew how to dissect or put a name to.â
Henry thinks back to their initial business meeting. Alex had made it clear that despite their past, Henry still remained his top pick to ghostwrite. Alex had also said there were different reasons why he hid the truth of who he was. Now it all slid into place since Alexâs admission the other day.
âAlex, thatâs incredible. This is huge.â
Alex smiles nervously.Â
âI canât believe Iâm doing it, but I feel good about my decision. My friends and family know. I feel good about myself, even though Iâm still figuring this out.â
âYouâre taking a big step and on the world stage no less. Thatâs pretty remarkable. Iâm proud of you. Iâd be honored to help tell your story.â
He takes his phone out of his pocket.
âDo you mind if I record? It helps me to get details correct and itâs also useful in getting your cadence right when it comes time to start writing.â
âNot at all. Go for it,â Alex says.
Henry nods and opens his voice memo, hitting record. He asks questions about Alexâs upbringing, the sort of little things a quick Wiki search canât tell a person.Â
True to the terms of the contract and Zahraâs assurance, Alex makes himself, for a lack of a better term, an open book. He gets candid about how his parentsâ divorce coupled with his relative celeb status has made it difficult for him to put much stock into the concept of dating, especially with people outside the industry.
This fact in particular strikes Henry though he decides not to examine that too closely.
After about an hour and half, Henry decides theyâve covered enough ground to get him started.
âThis was great. Thank you,â he says, looking over the new notes heâs taken and saving the recording.
âYeah, of course.â Alex still looks contemplative and for a moment, Henry merely chalks it up as a side effect of their in-depth conversation until he stands and Alex speaks up.
âUm, could we talk about the other thing too?â
Henry doesnât need clarification. He tucks his laptop under his arm and sits back down.
âOf course we can.â
Alex lets out a relieved breath.
âI couldnât sleep last night and I kept thinking about the problem areas you mentioned. One thing youâll learn about me is that I like making lists and stuff to keep me on track. Thereâs a neurosy or two in there, but letâs not look at it too hard right now. We can get into that later for the book,â Alex says.
âPoint is, I ended up making a sort ofâŚoutline for us and these sessions so they have some structure to them. You can talk things out first and then maybe we could have a practical portion. I can link you to the live doc.â
Henry blinks a few times.
âThatâs comprehensive. You've made a sex syllabus.â
Alexâs cheeks flush slightly.
âItâs too much, isnât it?â
âAlex, Iâm British. I thrive off structure and formality. Iâd quite like to see this outline so yes, please, link me.â
He stands up again.
âMaybe you could come by my room in about an hour?â Henry suggests. âThe deal was that the book comes first. Iâd say we made sufficient progress today in that area,â Henry says, tapping his laptop.
Alex blinks twice. âSounds good.âÂ
His tone is almost detached and before Henry can ask if heâs alright, Alex is already on his feet with his phone in hand.
Henry retreats to his room and sets his computer down on the nightstand. He hears the chime of his inbox and he opens it to find an email from Alex, subject line âaforementioned sex syllabus đđŚâ.
Henry laughs and opens it.
The first lesson, Back to Basics, has subsections for kissing and touching.
Henry closes out of the doc as his eyes look at later topics like fingering and oral. He begins to pace, his neck feeling hot at the road ahead.Â
In all fairness, at least, this first lesson wonât be difficult at all. Kissing is as harmless as it comes and Henry can attest to the fact that this wasnât actually an area in which Alex needed improvement.
All the same, Henry knows thereâs merit in easing them into this new working relationship instead of jumping into the deep end on day one.
An hour goes by much faster than Henry could have anticipated and suddenly Alex is knocking at his door.
Henry squares his shoulders and crosses the room to let him in. He takes some reassurance in the fact that Alex looks as uncertain as he feels.
âHey,â Alex says as he comes in, taking a look around himself before landing back on Henry. Even though these sessions were Alexâs idea, Henry gets the feeling heâll have to be the one to get the ball rolling tonight.
âI will preface this lesson by saying you donât need any pointers in this department.â
Alex smiles to himself and Henry has to admit, itâs kind of adorable seeing that reaction.
âRegardless, I think your guideline was pretty smart in starting out slowly with these sessions. We can build up from there.â
Alex nods. âCool, Iâm glad you agree.â
Henry stuffs his hands in his pockets. âAnd youâre sure you want to do this, right? I wonât be offended or anything if youâve had a change of heart in the past hour.â
Alex shakes his head. âNo, Iâm still in. I guess Iâm just nervous about screwing things up a second time. I donât know if I could readily bounce back from that level of humiliation.â
Henry steps closer to him, removing his hands from his pockets and instead encircling Alexâs waist.
Alexâs eyes widen but he doesnât shrink away or look uncomfortable. If anything, he looks curious. Expectant even.
âI think the best way for us to get past the awkwardness might be to simply embrace it,â Henry says.
Alex peers up at him, his eyes drifting to Henryâs lips and back just as heâd done that night right before they kissed for the first time.
This time around, itâs Alex who makes the first move and tugs Henry closer. Henry canât hide the way this affects him. His breath catches as Alex leans in and presses his lips to Henryâs.
Itâs reflexive to kiss him back at once. Alex had left his brain in an absolute fog that night in New York as they kissed on the street and weeks later, Alex hasnât lost his spark.
This kiss doesnât mean anything. It wonât lead to anything and Henry thinks thatâs what allows him to rid himself of any self-consciousness or second thoughts.
Alexâs kiss grows hungry and quickens and for the sake of Henryâs quickly beating heart, he needs them to take it down one notch or two.
âA bit slower,â Henry says softly against his lips. âI donât want to rush this.â
Alex smiles and does as heâs instructed. He kisses Henry agonizingly slowly, perhaps out of spite, but Henry relishes in it. Alexâs tongue skims along the seam of his lips and Henry opens his mouth to him at once, gripping Alexâs hips as their tongues meet.
He breathes in deeply, his mind growing hazy in that way that Alex is too good at initiating. Henry feels like absolute putty in Alexâs hands, entirely malleable.Â
Alex must know it too as he takes control and walks Henry back to the nearest wall. Henry instinctively drapes his arms over the manâs shoulders, lightly threading his fingers through Alexâs hair.
Alex lowers his hand between the two of them and lightly cups Henry. Henry sucks in a surprised breath at the touch.
âNext time,â Alex says quietly, tauntingly.
Henry whimpers in protest.
âUnless,â Alex tacks on in question.
Henry pulls his face back a little and licks his lips.
âTouch was on the agenda, right? We can do a teaser.â Henry sighs. âRather, selfishly, I really want you to keep touching me. That felt nice,â he admits.
Alex laughs softly but places his hand back over Henry. His cock twitches immediately at the attention. He clenches his jaw as Alex strokes him lightly over his clothes. Henryâs eyes shut, his head resting back against the wall.
His arousal grows with each stroke, his whole body feeling liable to melt. If Alex had touched him like this their first night, it most definitely would have set a different tone for the evening.
He rocks forward as he resumes their kiss. Alex tentatively squeezes his cock. Henry moans against his lips, heart pounding. Alex squeezes him again before continuing to stroke him. Henry can feel himself leaking.
Alexâs hand creeps up, gripping the waistband of his jeans. Henry desperately wants to feel Alexâs skin on his in earnest, but he reminds himself that this is merely their first day. He canât lose himself like this, no matter how good it feels.
He touches Alexâs wrist lightly and opens his eyes. Alex stills at once and lets go.
âI think thatâs good for day one,â Henry whispers.
Alex nods. âYeah, that was, uh,â he clears his throat and returns his arm to his side as he steps back, âthat was enough.â
And yet still, Henry wants more. He wonders if it would be wiser or more efficient for them to blow through the lessons in one go. Maybe that way they could in fact spend the rest of their time together doing what theyâve signed contracts for and are actually getting paid to do.
But the knowledge that he can get access to Alex like this for several more weeks makes him throw away all sense and logic. He wants an excuse to keep these clandestine meetings going.
âIâm gonna grab a shower,â Alex says unhelpfully. All his words do is put images in Henryâs mind that shouldnât be there.
Henry nods stiffly.Â
âIâll get started on dinner for us in the meantime,â Henry says. Maybe getting lost in the rhythm of cooking will make it easier for him to calm down.
âIâll see you in a bit then,â Alex replies.
Henry sees him out and waits until he hears Alexâs footfalls down the hall before locking his door and undoing his pants to finish the job Alex started.

oh hey i wanna talk abt smth thats been on my mind both lately and on and off for a while in general. sorry this ended up being a hella long post lol. but i have a lot to say
so...for context, ive been in the phandom for 10 years--since 2014--though it has admittedly been on and off in terms of engagement from me. in 2017 i got into dragon ball and all but dropped danny phantom completely with a few small drawings here and there. it was only like..within the past week that i actually got back into the phandom legitimately again, actively making art and posts about it and engaging with the source material and etc
anyway, i was obsessed with dp from 2014-late 2017 (until i got into dbz). i made lots and lots of fanart, played the gba games like all the damn time (i got to where i could speedrun tue lol), rewatched the show regularly...i was even one of those fans that bought obscure merch and learned useless trivia that ive since forgotten. in 2015 a lot of you may remember that i made @doppelgangercomic, a comic about an au i had where dan got a redemption arc (albeit a bumpy one) and future vlad was there and stuff happened (go read the comic LOL). it got a LOT of love and traction! it made me really happy to see all the positivity around my work like that :) i actually got a lot of positive responses towards my work in general. i had a really great time in the phandom back then
then i changed fandoms and kinda fell out of the phandom space. after being on a hiatus from the phandom until literally a week ago, i honestly have to say ive felt like i kind of...faded into obscurity in the phandom's eyes? basically i feel like old news. people dont generally know what doppelganger is now. they may have seen my art in passing here and there but they dont know who i am anymore. i think the only place people actively still find my old danny phantom art from when i was heavily active is...deviantart lol. i get notifications from favorites literally every day there. but uh anyway--im not saying this to garner pity or tell a sob story or anything! im just expressing some thoughts and feelings ive had for a long time lol.
the reason i bring this ^ up though, is because like...i know its not true? logically, i know that i DID make an impact in the fandom i loved/love so so much. i left my mark on both the fandom in an artistic sense, and also the people in the fandom, and sometimes i forget that because i get significantly less engagement on my posts than i used to. but i know that doesnt mean that people dont like my stuff anymore, or that ive been forgotten.
i actually got a message from someone today--a friend i made kinda recently who approached me bc they liked doppelganger actually. they told me that basically its surreal to them that theyre talking to me as a friend because they remember reading doppelganger when they were younger and looking up to me because of it. and it really reminded me of what i said previously--ive not been forgotten, and people still do appreciate and love what ive put out into the world (specifically about danny phantom in this case). ive made an impact on people's lives even when i dont realize it or see it physically. the message and sentiment made me feel really really good and nice and happy and honestly relieved, because the phandom and danny phantom as a media has been an extremely important and impactful part of my life ever since i got into it ten years ago. i literally changed my name to dan because of it lol. it was the reason i found stephen silver's work and went down that path of my art journey. its the reason i found so many amazing people and friends and artists and continue to do that even now. i owe a lot to danny phantom and the phandom as a whole, and i try to give back in the only ways i know how--mainly thru showing my passion through my art and posts.
anyway erm. yeah. all of this to say i wanted to thank yall--the phandom--for supporting me all this time, whether youve been with me from the beginning or if youre just joining me recently. youve been an absolute delight in my life and i know youll continue to be for a long time. :)
#this post sounds like im leaving the phandom i promise thats not what this is LOL#im just bein a little sentimental is all..wah

Day 30/100 days of productivity | Tue 19 Mar, 2024 (spring equinox)
Beta-read my friendâs blog article reflecting on her Masterâs degree, itâs a great article and Iâm super excited to read it again when itâs published!
My work hosted a panel for Womenâs History Month, it was a very interesting panel discussion and I learned a lot about how women, especially early-career professionals like myself can cultivate leadership traits
My work is also hosting a trivia night tomorrow, spent some time preparing for that
Did some more research on the grad programs I applied to (but I still need to hear back from some schools, and the wait is killing me)
Caught an interesting cloud pattern in the morning when walking to work (1st pic), and my mumâs new blueberry plant has flowered (2nd pic), just in time for Spring Equinox!

CANADA - YUKON
2023 Aug 11 (Fri) â We drove to Baby Nugget RV Park in Nugget City today. The ride was just 3 hours on excellent roads. We did not see any wildlife except for a lone eagle sitting in a tree down by a lake.
We had dinner in the cafÊ at 6 p.m. The meal was spaghetti with salad, meat sauce, garlic bread, and ice cream drizzled with chocolate sauce. The owners, Scott and Linda, both took time to tell us about how they built their establishment up and how they operated for many years. They go down to the U.S. and travel around Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and other states over the winter. Following their talk, we held a travel meeting.
2023 Aug 10 (Thu) â We packed up and drove to Whitehorse returning to the Pioneer RV Park for one night. We held a travel meeting in their rec room. Several people decided they wanted to stop at a native cultural center, so Johnny had to redo the order of march. While he went off to do that, we all played a game of trivia.Â
2023 Aug 9 (Wed) â We had a potluck tonight. Squad B made a repast that satisfied us all. Loren came in and told everyone about how he came to be in the Yukon and how he built his establishment up from nothing. It was interesting and sad at the same time. After the potluck, we held a travel meeting.
2023 Aug 8 (Tue) â We packed up and drove 7-1/2 hours from Tok to Destruction Bay over the worst roads yet. There were potholes, construction, frost heaves, ruts, you-name-it. We all arrived tired and spent. The plan was to have heavy hors dâoeuvres at 5 p.m. but folks were still coming in at 6:45 p.m. We gave them a half hour, then everyone brought their foodstuff to the campground building and we enjoyed a feast.
We were here in 2015 and Johnny in 2017. We both remembered that the owner, Loren, made the experience very special. He sang and played in a 3-person band. He cooked dinner for the group and taught us to carve hiking sticks. Today, he is an old man living in a broken down house. He has no garbage contract so we had to take our trash out with us. His pump is broken so we had no water connections. Only 30-amp electric. Itâs sad to see what COVID did to the man and his business.

Anthonyâs Stupid Daily Blog (460):Â Tue 20th Jun 2023
If God is omnipotent and knows everything then that means that he must know what a baby kangaroos pussy tastes like which makes him a nonce and means heâs committed beastiality. Go ion Christianâs defend that one I dare you!
It pissed down all day today and while normally hate the rain I canât deny that today it was. Iâve to have a bit of a reprieve from the heatwave. During the long depressing winter I knew that when / if the summer finally came around I would have to endure some days where it was so hot that Iâd have to sleep on top of the covers with the window open. Itâs not pleasant but itâs nevertheless preferable to have to smear myself in Deep Heat then climb into a sleeping bag then drape two blankets on top of that sleeping back and huddle up next to the radiator which I have to during the winter just to stay warm. The only problem is the fucking moths. As I type this there are about twenty moths fluttering around the god damn room and every time I swat one another two seem to materialize out of nowhere. At least here just the little moths and not those giant cunts that normally find their way into my room at this time of year and kick me out of my fucking bed so they can sleep in it while I sleep on the fucking floor for the night.
Since my sister has taken Luna on holiday to Spain it means tomorrow will be the first time in a while I havenât had her over for our play day. I did however come up with a game we can play when she gets back. The idea is to spread a load of books, cushions or anything that can be used as a stepping stone all over the back garden and her objective is to get from one end of the garden without me catching her. I think that I got the idea for this game from the old kids gameshow Knightmare but in that show the kids got to move every time they answered a trivia question correctly but I donât think this will work for Luna so instead weâll just play Rock Paper Scissors to decide who gets to move and who has to stay in the same spot. Im fully aware that Iâm digging my own grave with this idea because although Iâm sure Luna will enjoy it and so will I for the first round, Luna will no doubt insist that we play the game again another seven thousand fucking times like she does every time I come up with something for us to play.

Benefitting the North Helpline, Hellbent Brewing, Project 9 Brewing, and Watershed Pub & Kitchen are releasing GateCity IPA.
Press Release
(Seattle): Hellbent Brewing, Watershed Pub & Kitchen, Project 9 Brewing, and local community partners have come together to organize the 6th annual Seattle Beer Week event that features Hellbent Brewingâs award-winning GateCity IPA. GateCity, a combination of the two Seattle neighborhoods, Northgate and Lake City, celebrates the North Seattle community by raising funds for North Helpline, a food access and homelessness prevention nonprofit thatâs been serving our community for over 30 years.Â
What: For the owners of Hellbent Brewing Company, community means more than just those that visit their brewery taproom. It is also their impact on the neighborhood they call home. That is why each year, they support Noth Helpline with the Gate City Project.Â
Gate City IPA:Â
Gate City is brewed with Citra, Simcoe, and Mosaic hops from the Yakima Valley. At first glance, GateCity IPA recalls gentle bready overtones before transitioning into notes of mango, papaya, citrus, and pine. With words like that, it's easy to see why this beer won gold at Washington Beer Awards in 2018. (https://bit.ly/3Bjhm33)Â
When: Join North Helpline and community partners for five community pop-ups held during Seattle Beer Week! May 19th through 26th, 2023.Â
Gate City IPA will be on tap at local bars around the city! Stay tuned to the North Helpline website page to see the full list when itâs announced in mid-May. Northhelpline.orgÂ
Where:Â
May 19th, Fri, 6-9pm â Hellbent Launch Party (21+)Â
May 22nd, Mon, 7-9pm â Trivia Night at Broadview Taphouse (All Ages)Â
May 23rd, Tues, 7-9pm â Trivia Night at Watershed Pub (All Ages)Â
May 25th, Thru, 6-9pm â Project 9 Brewing Celebration (21+)Â
May 26th, Fri, 5-8pm â Growler Guys Closing Ceremony (21+)
Locations in Lake City and Bitter Lake
Who: Everyone is invited to attend, support local businesses, and raise funds for a local nonprofit. Please be sure to check with local bars in your area if they are interested in having Gate City on tap! Also, please check the age requirements of each venue before attending.Â
Why: Rampant inflation, supply chain issues, and the ending of COVID-era funding for programs like SNAP are putting increasing pressure on our Seattle community. North Helpline serves the local community through two food banks, a home grocery delivery program, and direct financial assistance for rent and utilities.Â
SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits were cut in March 2023, affecting over 500,000 households in Washington who will lose a total of about $95 million a month in food assistance. It is essential that we support local organizations like North Helpline that are working to address this âHunger Cliff.âÂ
Axios Seattle. "SNAP cuts lead to warning of "hunger cliff."Â

A few things about Unnatural Objects:
Yes, I know they killed Draven off in the comics. We're ignoring that. Alternative Universe, baby!
The story is set six-months-ish after Return of the Jedi. I know very little about this time period in Legends, which is mainly covered by the X-Wing novels. Have I read the X-Wing novels? yes. Do I remember anything that happened in them? no. I spent a lot of time staring at wook, desperately trying to figure out what happened when, and regretting my decisions.
Hat tip to KLC, since I got the idea for the story while she was telling the fic whining circle about the plans for her fic series Sororal Lineality. The opening scene popped into my head, and I started sketching it out. Â It took a while to draft the first chapter, but chapters two and three came together fairly quickly after I finished writing Homecoming. (for me, anyway).
Orphan Black was at the back of my mind while writing Unnatural Objects, although I didn't draw any direct references to the series. I did look for inspiration from the episode titles, which are all drawn from scientific texts. The episode title "The Redesign of Natural Objects" is the source of my title. Â
The breakfast scene is dedicated especially to JediMordSith.
As always, both my planets and my space food are a mix of stuff I pulled from wook and stuff I made up. Kintoni is from wook. Okmok and Asteroid M3756, in the following chapters, are mine.
