What is UP we're back with more TF: Reconstruction!
Check out the Triple-Changer cadets who joined the squad a couple Earth weeks before Rod and Arcee did!
Hot Rod admires and loves working with Blurr, but thinks Springer is a little too "cool guy jock" for her taste - meanwhile Blurr and Springer themselves have been best pals since joining up with Ultra Magnus.
#my art#transformers#maccadam#transformers fanart#transformers g1#transformers blurr#transformers springer#i know blurr's not traditionally a triple changer but i was showing them off in the discord and a moot said it'd be sick if they were a jet#so blurr's a jet/race car while springer's like an armored car and a helicopter like he usually is#blurr's also a similar model to rod (sans triple changing) which is why she looks up to them#she projects a lot of her insecurities onto springer and gets it in her head that him being So Good makes her look bad#he also lightly ribs her because in his mind they're friends and he does that with his friends#which of course leads to inter-squad conflict and eventual understanding and the two of them being super close and loyal friends#think kinda peter parker and flash thompson coded a lil#which is funny since i was using spectacular flash as a soft ref for springer lmao#tf reconstruction

Okay but can you just imagine Bot Experiment!Blitzwing’s reaction to encountering the Omega Sentinels for the first time
Dude escapes from the laboratory he was being held captive at, offlining dozens of Autobot scientists in process, and thinks to himself “HA! That ought to get the Autobots to think twice about ever attempting to play God again in the future!”
And then a few stellar cycles later he sees these gigantic Autobots being unleashed onto the battlefield and just goes “are you fragging kidding me”
(Boy oh boy, just wait until he finds out about Project Safeguard)
Although Project Omega didn’t use already forged bots as ingredients to make the Omega Sentinels, it’s certainly a ‘let’s make cold constructed war machines that will not betray us good guy Autobots :)’ where some bot is gifted a control code (I can’t remember if Arcee was given it to her to control as her own or to deliver it like a carrier pigeon to keep its broadcast offline) that essentially enforces the ‘please fight for the Autobots custom made warframe’. Under the umbrella of ‘there are no flying Autobots’ what does that make the Omega Sentinels? Autobots making warframes for themselves and loading them with big powerful tech is certainly a memory that Blitzwing would Rather Not and will call bullshit upon seeing a flying tank on Autobot lines.
Introduce Project Safeguard to Blitzwing - especially with the mention of the use of Starscream’s Decepticon CNA - and let’s just say their new sons have to be gently introduced to their new brother Wasp without immediately arresting him.
#ask#anonymous#blitzwing#tfa blitzwing#project omega#project safeguard#transformers#tfa#maccadam#blitzwing having three new sons: putting them in different rooms so they can get used to each other safely#with the omega project needing to crack open someone’s skull and access their memories by manually clicking buttons truly is fucked up#blitzwing being a high ranking con would’ve seen the omega sentinels on the battlefield first before seeing shockwave cracking open a cold 1#the cold one being of course arcee who was already open headed by the autobot science department#blitzwing gets to see the cold constructed war machine without will and also the autobot’s own mecha who carry the keys to it’s control#perhaps even wondering if it would have happened to them of they stuck around- all of them- the triple changers him astrotrain and octane

The Almanac is a very... interesting read
I have... opinions on some of the behind the scenes world building and what they had planned with S4 (it makes me a little glad the show ended where it did... writers it's bad enough you offed Prowl when you could have had restoring the Allspark be the Key's purpose instead of upgrading Sari- but then to further split up the team whyyyyy)
Anyway, here's Blitzwing and my take on him before the Triple-Changer experiment was done to him against his will and his former partner the cold hearted bitch who did it to him, also pre-op.
COMMISSIONS OPEN
Ramblings (no really- RAMBLINGS) below: I wanted to make this a comic but the Art wasn't Arting
TLDR: Lancer and Blitzwing were taken as prisoners of war by the autobots and Lancer made a lot of bad decisions to try and save his life within they circumstances which directly led to him becoming the first triple changer.
It's a little more complicated than this but basically Blitzwing (then known as Kaltwing) was hurt REALLY bad when he and Lancer were trying to retrieve the Allspark-about partway through the war. Like- missing his legs- wings ripped off- half his face blasted off bad.
So Lancer, or Himmel Lancer as she was then called, tried to put him back together with what she had on hand because she was not about to let her best friend go OFFLINE. This resulted in her basically frankenstein-ing him parts from a fallen tank decepticon's corpse as well as her own parts to try and keep him online. Most notably her own T-cog, as his was damaged and forcing him to attempt to transform at random. Because they were the same Frame type it was compatible enough to stabilize it when she fused the two ports.
Unfortunately, this still left him in extreme agony as Lancer was a RESEARCHER, not a Medic by any streatch of the word. It was one of those times he was pleading with her to offline him that they were caught by Autobots. With Blitzwing barley able to move and Lancer unable to transform, they were fish in a barrel.
The Autobots, after surgically stripping Lancer of ALL her weapons and installing a "contingency clause" protocol, allowed her to continue Blitzwing's "treatment" as well as forcing her to continue such experiments on other captured ‘cons. Many were curious to see where this "project" would go, even if most wouldn't openly agree to it themselves.
This went on for years with Blitzwing being their geniua pig until they reached the final straw for both of the former seekers.
Through a string of luck and incompetence, Lancer managed to achieve the two's original goal and stole the All-Spark right from under Ultra Magnus' nose. She was hoping it would reverse the damage she's done to him, and possibly restore herself in the process, but she was interrupted when the gaurds caught up with her and the contingency clause protocols activated and began frying her from the inside out.
While she was able to stabilize Blitzwing before all this and relieve him of the physical pain he'd been under, it came at cost. Between his fritzing original T-cog and the trauma of having endless, painful operations at the hands of his friend and subsequent the poor treatment from Autobots, his mind broke under the Allsparks "upgrades"z
During the chaos, he manages to break free and slaughters everyone in the facility including Lancer (at least he thought so). He was trying to grant her the clean death she refused him.
(Ironically enough, this damaged her enough for the protocols to think she'd offlined, and thus deactivate on their own).
He escapes back to the decepticons empty-handed and scary the shit out of everyone while Lancer is left to deal with the remaining wrath of the autobots.

Transformers: War Zones project plan - Bumblebee (Vol. 1)
This series is not an assured project. It is a concept that can still be changed or scrapped.
Synopsis
A young scout Bumblebee is sent into Polyhex to investigate rumors of a new secret program. He must avoid the sinister Blitzwing and the merciless Nitro Zeus to make it out alive. The project will open a portal to the Shadowzone, a mythological dimension said to have been sealed since the days of Primus. Who knows what is inside?
Characters
Bumblebee - A brave Autobot scout. He is sent by Ultra Magnus to investigate a Decepticon stronghold before an attack can be planned. He can transform into a Cybertronian car and his main weapon is an electric bolt blaster or "Stinger" as he calls it.
Blitzwing - A brilliant and cold strategist who oversees Project: Tarriassuk. He devises a plan to open the Shadowzone for the use of the Decepticons. Also, he is a triple-changer.
Nitro Zeus - A Knight of Kaon who protects the Decepticon base in Polyhex. He has a powerful thunder cannon that can break apart Cybertronians into individual parts.
Other Information
The Shadowzone is a more Lovecraftian place than it was in the animated series Transformers Prime.

I saw you Cyberbeast!Bee au and it reminded me of an old au I had that I thought you might enjoy. Predacon!Bee. He's not a mythical creature like in your au, but a simple Bunny. He never tells anyone though and does his best to hide all his rabbit traits.
In this au, the majority of Predacons are triple changers and are actually where the Cons got their schematics for how Triple changers work and how to make their own soldiers into them. Bee's second form is the exact same as it is in canon, a speedy little compact car. The reason that Bee never uses his rabbit mode though is very simple, the majority of Cybertronians hate Predacons and think they are either disgusting (due to the majority of Cybertronians looking down on organic life, examples being Sential and in the episode where Fanzone gets sent to cybertron everyone immediately starts panicking at the sight of him) or immeditaly think they're Decpticons simply because there is a Con in their species name and the Predacons "gave" their secrets of triple changing to the Cons.
Bee has a lot of Predacon instincts that he does his best to hide so that no one will ever find out what he is, but by Primus does he just want to turn his birth into a Literal Nest and also rub his face on things to scent mark them as his to keep other Predacons away. Especially his team mates.
Awwh that's cute! I never thought Predacons can be simple animals, I always thought they were just dragons or dragon-like creatures, like Predaking and his 2 kin from that one TFP clip I saw.
I suppose you could apply the "origins of Triple Changers" logic to my Cyberbeast AU also- Megatron is a Cyberbeast and he started the project. Blitzwing got injected with cyberbeast blood and gained the ability to access another alt mode- at a cost. Those experiments haven't been done before for reason of it being morally wrong.
The type of Cyberbeast he got the blood from is similar to a hyena, therefore he got his crazy side and faceplate along with mech-eating habits.
Going to Bumblebee- yes, after he had his awakening he did want to "claim the pack as his". By that I mean he had this unexplainable urge to hug and nuzzle against each and every one of them to leave scent only other 'beasts can smell. He only learned what he's doing when Prowl snatched the remote and put on some documentary about animals and he was forced to watch it- he hates to admit it but he does find them somewhat useful to connect the similarities.
Thank you for the ask! <3

The first three chapters of my AU, Transformers Epica, are up. Book one, Before the War, deals with lead up to the civil war that will tear apart Cybertron. It's mainly told from the Decepticons' point of view, with the occasional Autobot appearance.
Summary:
The Golden Age of Cybertron was a time of prosperity, but only for the fortunate few. The Cybertronian Empire was at its peak, with many off-world colonies. However, resources were dwindling. Civil unrest was growing. The upper castes thrived while the lower castes struggled to survive under Functionalist rule. All it would take was one spark for the fires of war to ignite across Cybertron and the rest of the empire. And the Decepticons were holding the match. In the meantime, some of the major players in the conflict were taking a well-needed vacation in Iacon. Two Grounders from Velocitron will meet a Triple Changer miner from Tarn, and their lives will be forever changed. This is an alternate Universe in the Transformers series, with many elements following IDW and Prime.

The Mithril Archipelago, more colloquially known as the Pious Pools, refers to a cluster of islands to the southwest of Tetrahex an orn and some groon out from the shore. When seen from above, the island chain appears to form a large hand rising from the sea, with the ‘palm’ being the largest of eight.
Despite being collectively referred to as the Pious Pools, the most notable tide pools are largely clustered on the eastern side of the palm, index, and middle islands, while the largest natural springs are located on the thumb.
All of the islands in the archipelago are quite rocky, but the hotspot at the base of the thumb has historically produced a notable number of amphibious mecha and triple-changers with alt modes suitable for both the cliffside environment and the warm Mithril Sea.
Most locals live in the center and southeast portions of the palm closest to the thumb, though there are smaller fishing and tourism based areas on the index, middle, and ring fingers. The Pious Pools are well-known for the peculiar traditional architecture of the area, which comes from a mix of the islands originally being settled as a hermitage and simple practicality; most buildings and residences are tucked inside and built out of the natural caves formed by sea erosion over millions of years, or otherwise secured into the sheer cliffs in tiers!
If you wish to visit the ruins of the hermitage, the Little Temple (also known as the Conduit or the First Temple,) please be aware that there is an active and ongoing restoration project underway to restore the damage that occurred under the Functionist Mandate of Singularity. There is a priest in residence and dormitory space available to those devoted or simply curious. Liturgical services are held every orn at 08.45j and end of decacyle services at 17.15j/18.15j depending on the season.
The Iaconian Academy of Science and Medicine has recently reestablished the historical outreach campus of the Grand Archives in the curve between the middle and ring fingers with the help of Deltaran Hospital and Optimus Prime, who has taken up semi-permanent residence on the islands to assist with preservation and archeological efforts.
The tips of the index and middle fingers are recognized by Primal Authority as a preservation site and mechanimal sanctuary. Permits are required for hunting and fishing in the area.
The two islands that make up the smallest finger are generally considered to be uninhabitable, as the middle island and the spit of land that bridges it to the palm is flooded each day at high tide, and the last of the two has recently become the source of a great many strange sightings and ghost stories. Visitors are highly discouraged from lingering.

I wasn’t the anon who sent you the ask but can I hear about the three skybound cities of which Vos is one please?
Absolutely you can! Yes!!
So, a bit of backstory on why there are 3 cities in the sky: each of the 13 major citystates of Cybertron was founded by one of the 13 original Primes when Cybertron was still very young. The twins, Alchemist and Amalgamous Prime, created the two different types of seekers. Alchemist created Vos, who's seekers are incredibly petite, lightweight, and the fastest possible flight of any cybertronians. They're also the only ones that possess the Rainmaker gene. Vosian seekers have small frames, thrusters on their pedes, and a venomous bite. On the other side, Amalgamous Prime's Helexian seekers are much bigger and bulkier, heavier set so they can withstand more damage at the cost of speed. They're still great flyers, make no mistake, and are much faster in the air then those with groundbound alt modes, but they're left in the dust by their smaller cousins.
Both cities are engineering marvels created by their respective patron Primes: Vos is a massive flying collection of millions and millions of towers, platforms, and floating buildings, all programmed to fly in perfect formation with the others, orbiting around a central point (the Temple of Alchemist Prime). There's open air everywhere you look, plenty of room for the seekers to swoop between buildings on different levels. It flies through the air like an autonomous being, circling Cybertron and keeping the seekers safely many miles above the surgace of the planet.
The other city, Helex, rather than being a massive collection of buildings is instead one giant amalgamation. Helex appears more akin to a massive ship than a city, but it houses millions of citizens and the ciry never looks the same from day to day, or sometimes even hour to hour. Helex is always shifting, moving, and transforming, and the best way I can describe it is an amorphous mass of constantly shifting metal plates, as if the city is constantly in the hands of their creator, and he's playing with it like a rubik's cube. Everything pivots, flips, turns, and slides around, roads only exist at certain times of the day, some storefronts transform and become their owner's homes after closing time. Helex is almost like a mini-Cybertron, the way it has so many layers packed in at odd angles, with artificial gravity so it appears the mecha are walking on walls or the ceiling even though, to them, they're always on the floor. It's also important to note that Helex is always hollow in the middle: the center of the city is a massive, perfectly cylindrical tube from top to bottom, so there's no risk of sky hunger or lack of fresh air to keep the seekers sane. The city itself is imbued with the Prime's power, so there's never once been an accident with someone getting crushed or even slightly scraped. The city knows when it's safe to change, and takes great care of it's seekers.
The final sky city is Kalis, and it was created by Liege Maximo. He was the mother of all triple changers, the first cybertronian to have more than one alt mode. As a result, Kalis is a unique flying city in that it had flyers and grounders living in it. Liege Maximo's creations consisted of triple changers like himself, but also shuttles, helicopters, trains, tanks, and multiple civilian class grounders. Kalis is a giant melting pot of frame types, unlike the very, very concentrated Vos and Helex. The other two sky cities typically don't even allow non-flyers inside, for their own safety if not for prejudice.
Now Kalis, unlike Vos and Helex, wasn't designed and engineered and built. When the 13 Primes were dividing up different areas of the planet for them each to completely their projects in, Liege Maximo quickly decided that he wanted to put his settlement in the sky, as he quite enjoyed flight... but also, as a triple changer, he enjoyed being a grounder. To make it a place for both, he took his section of the planet and carved out a huge, massive continent's worth of land, ripping it from the planet and creating a massive crater that would one day become host to the Sea of Rust, hoisting it into the sky and imbuing it with his power to make it fly. Look up pictures of floating islands, that's the best way I can describe Kalis. It has a thriving crystalline ecosystem, large mountains a central river of energon that flows from a hidden spring on the highest peak. Kalis is a citystate with roads and open airspace, homes of every design for most every frame type, and several physical layers that have eroded and changed over time to make it a mix of technological and naturaly biomechanical wonder. If all seekers come from Vos or Helex, then most every other flying body type originated in Kalis
That's a general description of each, and this is getting long, so I won't spring into a bunch about the political sphere of each. If you're interested tho, just say the word!

I'm toying with a fanfic idea of a Mech!reader x tfa Blitzwing and I thought "what if the reader is a triple changer?"
So I began work on this little dude.
The back story for him is that he's a failed Autobot project from the war. They were trying to make flyers to combat the Decepticons, but unintentionally made a triple changer instead. Of course this caused the poor bot to lose his mind and he became extremely volatile whenever he wasn't in his lucid state.
His mania is like Blitzwing's Random persona but turned up to an 11 (basically Sheogorath level from TES) and his paranoia is unpredictable because he's absolutely batshit terrified and distrusting of everyone and everything to the point where the poor bot will claw at his face. The Autobots were going to deactivate him but Ratchet (being the sire like parental figure he is) argued against it.
With the help of Perceptor and Wheeljack they were able to create a stabilizing collar that essentially blocked his other alters. Of course it isn't 100% effective and if he gets excited enough or scared enough he will switch states, but it helps keep him lucid most of the time.
When he encounters Blitzwing for the first time it's like two feral cats meeting in an alleyway with one staring at the other like.
And I like to imagine that this Autobot triple changer is so dumbfounded that there's actually another triple changer that exists that he becomes instantly and borderline obsessively attached to Blitzwing and even tries to get him to side with the Autobots.
Idk my brain do be rambling.

Outlier Ability;
General Info;
★ - Common knowledge Outlier abilities come in three types: Physical, Mental, or External*.
- Mental Abilities are those that come from the mind like Soundwave’s Hearing, Skid’s super learning, or Mindwipe’s telepathy. - Physical abilities are ones that affect the mech themselves, such as Tailgate’s strength or Mirage’s invisibility. - External abilities are usually projected from the outlier in some way, such as Skywarp’s teleportation, Trailbreaker’s force fields, Windcharger’s magnetic arms, Damus’ glitch touch, Hupcap’s Electromagnetic manipulation, Thundercracker’s sonic booms, etc etc.
(*External also has it's own subcategories of Physical and Mental, but for the sake of simplicity, they are filed as one.)
—— ◆ - Acquired knowledge
Outlier: Lieutenant
Ability: Seismic Sense
Category: Physical
—— ✖ - No knowledge
How it works:
Seismic Sense is an acute sensation of anything touching the ground. So long as Lieutenant is touching the ground, he can sense any movement up to an undisclosed radial distance from himself. He can even feel things on the walls when in rooms or hallways. That is if they're at a certain height. This means usual forms of stealth from sight are ineffective. He is nearly impossible to sneak up on as long as his opponent is touching the ground. Lieutenant has also worked to allow his frame to move instinctively if he senses anything too close to him. This was especially helpful during the war as his hand-to-hand combat excelled, although he preferred to avoid it if possible. Due to this ability, particularly when it was fully honed he would be selected to be part of Prowl's 'Diplomatic Corps.' early in the war. [See Bio for more info]
Info:
The primary source of this ability comes from his pedes, and more specifically, the sensory pads on the bottoms of his pedes. They aren't metal but rather a silicone rubber that allows him to traverse various terrains without damaging or scuffing the sensors. While they can take a beating, Lieutenant would prefer to avoid injury as it is still a part of him and he can feel everything quite intimately.
Drawbacks:
The seismic sense is a glass cannon. It’s incredibly intuitive, but if not kept secret it can be easily used against Lieutenant. One of the biggest issues is the heightened sense can cause overwhelming pain or sensory overload (not the fun kind). This can come from various sources such as being hit/injured, reverberating foundations, or anything physical. This is due to the ability affecting his entire nervous system, his pain tolerance is significantly lower than even the civilian class. Fortunately, this is not the biggest Achilles heel as it once was. With significant training over many years, Lieutenant can still fight without being paralyzed by the pain. However, he still tries to avoid it, opting for infiltration, tricks, and quick kills to get the job done without interacting with the enemy if possible, to lower the risk of overwhelming agony.
——
At a glance - Pros & Cons:
Pros:
Able to sense surroundings/persons acutely
Reflexes are instinctive
Blinded allows heightened senses to 'see' things more in-depth/further
The lower his other senses are, the higher his seismic sense becomes
Cons:
Sensitivity is very high
Pain hurts significantly more than it should
Universe Note: While Outliers are already rare, fliers that are outliers are even more abnormal in this circle. No one quite knows why this is, however, the speculation is that it’s likely due to the spark naturally having to compensate for the ability to fly. It’s not as near impossible as those with .01% sparks or triple-changers, but it is the running theory.

OK family not being a thing in your au makes my very family/tribe/pack oriented monkey brain so so sad (exaggeration) so i gotta ask. Do they have found-families? Like a social link whose importance/intensity is above coworkers and teammates - do they have groups of bots that are important to them? If they do, was that connection present before or after contact with humanity?
They for sure have relationships and groups of higher significance than acquaintances, coworkers, teams, and friends. They just wouldn't classify those relationships as the human definition of family. They've had significant, group bonds as long as their species has existed. They're just different.
Here's a few terms I'm messing with for those relationships. Lore dump under the cut.
Gestaltmates (or Combinermates): This is how groups of combiners would refer to each other! Like Swindle would call Vortex his gestaltmate along with the rest of the Combaticons. Gestaltmates are a group of Transformers who have chosen a group life together that is very much a connection between all of them, and it comes with a combined form after a relatively simple set up of combiner hardware and software. Gestaltmates are all very close with each other, generally. The bond can be entirely romantic between all members like a polycule, only somewhat romantic between a few of them, or not romantic at all but still much closer than any other Transformer. But the romantic nature is for the gestaltmates to decide.
Trine: This is a common term for how flight models refer to their most tight knit group. It's not exclusive to seekers or even flight models in general. For example, Octane, Astrotrain, and Blitzwing in the au refer to themselves as a Triple-Changer trine. The trine can also be more than three but three is the most common. Like gestaltmates, this relationship can vary in the level of romance too. Many trines choose to become "trinebound" which means they get a software that links up their communicator systems to each others very closely.
Setmates: This is the term often used by Transformers built in a set. Sets are Transformers who are designed and built to compliment each other for a variety of reasons. Sets are actually relatively rare projects on Cybertron since Vector Sigma doesn't guarantee the members of a set will have personalities that work well together. Sideswipe and Sunstreaker do not get along perfectly and Cliffjumper and Bumblebee don't talk about being a set at all so most don't even know. Sets are often built using similar but not identical models that are modified to make up for where the other models in their set would struggle. Rumble and Frenzy are a set of cassettes with Rumble classified as a Demolition model and Frenzy as a Chaser model. Reflector was originally designed as a set but was programmed as a multi-body bot instead. Sets are interesting as they are defined as "being made for each other" but in the literal way. Like built to be able to work best together. And all sets have different feelings about that. The Stunticons are technically gestaltmates and setmates, and they think being a set is so cool. Bumblebee and Cliffjumper don't really think it's anything to brag about.
Those are just a few though! I could share more about other terms, specific groups, etc. that I've thought of for my fan continuity au thing! Long answer condensed. They do very much have groups that hold much more significance than other Transformers to them. They just would classify those groups and dynamics with their own terms, definitions, and understandings.
(Hope I do not have too many spelling or grammar errors in this post.)

THANK YOU for that post about Blackarachnia's actual science skillset, especially the part about her lack of surety with Blitzwing and the triple-changer project. I don't know if you've read Triumvirate (my fic that deals with Blitzwing's backstory), but that exact thing is a big point the way I wrote it. Also the image of her squinting at a printed picture while operating is exceedingly funny.
I have seen your fic and I promise it's on the reading list!! And yeah, I feel like she'd be going in with a little knowledge relevant to it, but also no experience. I'm thinking like if someone asked me (a person with tons of biological and chemical lab skills, specialized knowledge in immunology and biochemistry, and a little knowledge of physics and electrical engineering) to fix a robot (full of wires and motherboards and circuits and sautered on bits and pieces), I could maybe do it but there's a high chance of failure even if someone gave me a picture of what it's supposed to look like. Blackarachnia girlbossed too close to the sun when she took on the triplechanger project.
Also, not to freak anyone out, but the picture thing is something a lot of scientists and doctors do. It's usually done to ensure the experiment went correctly (like googling if your bacterial colony looks right) and in cosmetic plastic surgery to ensure everything is where it belongs.

Consider: AU of Bot Experiment!Blitzwing where, after his daring escape, Blitz runs into Arcee rather than the Decepticons and she ends up convincing a reluctant, still-wary-of-warframes Ratchet to help her hide him from the Autobot government as the two try to help their new friend (and future adopted son) use his newfound strength and power for good and heal from his trauma
(Bonus points if he asks one of the two to mentor him out of a desire to “make himself useful” and become more than just a living weapon)
Oh I like this, it's really interesting and it's got me thinking timelines and that haha, and also the fact that Autobot scientists are very willing to pry open their own intelligence officer's helm to scrape every inch of their processor to access deleted or corrupted memories, Blitzwing may be inclined to go 'fuck the Autobot command' rather than a full global and generalised 'fuck the Autobots'. Depending on the timeline and what things change from the AU (especially since BETCs has no canon timeline to base it in beyond 'prior to the show'), there can be a myriad of different meetings.
I suppose to function as 'Arcee sees a young(er) bot lost, confused, hurt and angry and her original teacher programing flares up' she would at least have to be conscious. Whether she's going through a recovery period of 'I have experiences I can't remember' where Ratchet is HEAVILY involved or is still in 'factory reset' already firing up the teacher programming and never seeing the kind of mech Blitzwing has now become, kind of acting as a brief shelter to which Ratchet shows up moments later on visitation seeing a very unique and heavily armed warframe, to have Ratchet be involved there is some degree of Lockdown fuckery even if Arcee's treatment after the fact changes from canon. Perhaps BETC Blitz actually contributes - Scientists' Leftovers (trying to make a name for this but it might not work) or as the stand alone 'Blackarachnia did nothing hypocritical... yet' idea - in the status of Arcee's recovery; running into her would spark a faster recovery because hiding a rouge experiment means you might wanna get the hell out of dodge, thus as a medic alone Ratchet dedicates more of his time to help recovery, or Blitzwing just misses her and the scientists (or perhaps even Magnus) deem a shut down is necessary and incidentally halt Arcee's healing.
I feel as though all these asks have been themed haha; give Blitzwing a family, the people cry. Don't mind me slipping in Wasp and thinking about dad/s Blitzwing and grandparents Ratchet and Arcee because damn if you begin the cycle of adopting victims of experiments you have free fucking reign 😌

hello op i have never heard of blitzwing before but i am very curious, would you mind telling us about them? maybe if you're worried it would be unfair you can tell us about their competitor too?
okay okay so I'll allow myself ONE Blitzwing propaganda post, but I'll put it under the cut in case anyone wants to avoid my personal bias :3c
So Blitzwing is my wonderful special boy I love him a lot okay SO he's from Transformers, and is a Decepticon (aka the bad guys in most universes), and is something called a "triple changer". While most transformers have a robot mode and vehicle mode, triple changers get a robot mode and TWO vehicle modes. (Blitzy can turn into a plane OR a tank!)
So in most other Transformers media he's got a pretty basic personality, but the version featured here is specifically from Transformers Animated, where they did a really interesting twist on the "triple changer" trope,
So Blitzwing has three different "faceplates" that he switches between, and for the most part they're all referred to by just "Blitzwing", though they all have different appearances and nicknames of "Hothead" "Icy" and "Random", shown in order in this image:
So I'm sure you can already guess why people are nominating them, this is verrry plural energy. (especially since it's nice how there isn't any """original""" face, they're all treated as equally Blitzwing) The body is the same but the faces and personalities change.
Even if you don't view it as a full system like someone with DID, it still leans heavily into the dissociative spectrum; like I really really like interpreting his faceplates as being strong manifested coping mechanisms. Like I really enjoy Hothead being the "protector" mental state, so on and so forth. And yes I'm self projecting because I have a verrry similar coping mechanism, sue me.
It's definitely not PERFECT rep in canon, I know I was actually offput at first because I thought "Great another negative DID stereotype played off for laughs", a big thing they do is have Icy or Hothead say something, and then Random cut in with a witty one-liner and it's supposed to be a "haha laugh at the crazy bot" type of thing :/
But the fandom really turned me around by portraying him in a much better light, especially when others have taken him and acknowledged that his personalities probably manifested from a place of trauma and giving each of his faceplates a lot of depth and emotional value. I've read some really really good fics treating his faceplates with a lot of respect and really made me fall in love with the character!
It's also nice because even though far from perfect in canon, he subverts the evil trope in a sense. Yeah he's a villain, but he's a villain regardless of if he had 3 faceplates or not, he's not a villain BECAUSE of his identities. He doesn't have an """evil""" alter which is great. They're all assholes (affectionate)
tl;dr: He's funky and has 3 distinct personalities and I care them all so so much and also am biased because I have a fictional crush
#misc#blitzwing#asks#spark-lapis#okay I have allowed myself my ONE propaganda post thank you for letting me infodump KJBSDJKGBSDJK#in case it wasnt obvious i really like TFA and the character Im using as my lil persona is from the same show#jetfire's blitzwing propaganda

I've spoken about how op was jealous of Megatron and projecting, but I never actually went into any detail. Tbh, I'm not certain it's truly jealousy. It's more of a "Do I want to be her? Or do I just want her."
I can read so much queer subtext into the aligned op and meg plot lines.
Quickly brushing over Megatron, he's actually not a very jealous person. He readily admits to himself his jealousy about Soundwave, in that Soundwave was s triple changer who could fly, but he was also awkwardly jealous of his relationship with his minicons- either because he couldn't do the same, or of the quasi-family type bonds a deployer and minicon share. I'd bet on the latter because when Megatron is jealous/envious, he sets out to get it. He wanted to fly. He gained a jet mode. He wanted a family, he found a "brother".
Orion Pax, however... doesn't. There's not actually much we see orion pax go out of his way for aside from contacting megatron. He usually just obeys alpha trion and offloads most of his thinking to him. In the covenant, it's not until alpha trion praises him for being idealistic that "For the first time he considered himself as something potentially worthwhile, -a bot who had something to offer the world instead of one who awkwardly negotiated with it." Which is just sad. From there, he helps name and catalogue the cybertronian ages, but there's a limit to that.
Orion doesn't set out to fix the world until he comes across Megatron, and even Alpha trion can't really shake him from admiring Megatron.
His jealousy is a natural thing to follow from here. Megatron has a purpose, Megatron believes in his own ideals so strongly he'd kill for them. He has physical strength, is apparently mesmerising in a fight, has connections across the planet, and tons of devoted fans and followers who obey his every command.
Orion to his credit does start combat training and gaining curious fans of his own, and is flattered when Alpha trion asks him to give an opinion for the council, but all of this is prompted because of his connection to megatron.
There's room to grow resentment here, even in the strongest of friendships... but there wasn't much of that to begin with.
Weirdly, though Orion risks a lot by warning Megatron, by breaking travel laws to see him, by continuing their acquaintance even though Megatron is a criminal and then a suspected terrorist, Orion is always unsettled by Megatron's gestures of friendship, first by the title friend, then upset even more by the title "brother".
You see where I'm going with this.
When orion gains the primacy and becomes Optimus, he doesn't get what's happened and at some point to Ratchet calls it jealousy. Because Orion would have been jealous if Megs was acknowledged by the council in the same way.
Even when Optimus has everything he was jealous of. A cool new title, a bigger alt mode, followers, etc. He doesn't feel like he has any real power, making him a bit sensetive to any signs of disrespect. In spite of this, He prefers Jazz's way of interacting with him (with the nickname op,).
But the title of brother still bothers him when Megatron starts using it again, though he never denies any of Megatron's claims of an unbreakable bond between the two of them.
...
I'm saying Optimus is deep in whatever cybertronians have instead of a closet.

I tend to think that because of the triple changer operation that was done on blitz that his personalities got split; like there are just two(three?) voices in his head telling him to do this and do that.
And I was wondering, if he ended up dating bee (in secret ofc) how would icy, hot head, and random react to that? like would they be worried at the possibility of being abandoned again? did they all agree on that or smth?
I wanna know your take on that :3
oooh that one-
Well, I do have my own voice narrating my thoughts and sentences in my head, like any person would- so it's obvious wiht Blitz's split personality it's gonna be the same, but more chaotic. There's just 3 versions of yourself having a verbal fight over what will they do and where to go.
When Blitzwing starts falling for Bee, Icy or Hothead would have no idea. Random however acts way more affectionate towards Bee, he'll pick him up and hug, be really close, even shove his face near the scout's. It doesn't really get to him he's fallen in love, only when he is presented with something that would trigger those thoughts he'll come to a conclusion that "fuck, i love him".
I don't know how to write them getting together cuz i have many many MANY stories with BlitzBee in their early days so i'm leaving it vague.
Of course, the have planned meetings every 2 days, mostly at night. If Bee doesn't show up then Blitz will be either annoyed or worried. If Bee doesn't show up to more than 1 meeting in a row then he'll start panicking- Icy being the manifestation of calm, sad and worried will be the ignitor, Hothead is the one to be annoyed of course and Random is just a hopeless romantic all the way, but he does amplify emotions of either of the two; be it wailing and 'being sparkbroken' or just coming up with amusing ways to make Bee make up for being gone for so long.
Icy is the one with most fronting time per se, he's often the one in charge of their unit and thoughts, the one to settle everything down... or make a huge fuss about it with his overthinking and panic. Blitzwing never had anyone that cared for him that much, if there was anyone in his past he doesn't remember cuz of the Triple Changer surgery. Bee had a hard time to get Blitzwing to open up to him, now Blitzwing is scared to lose the one who understands him and all the love. Icy goes into self-hatred cuz 'maybe he left cuz of how messed up he is', Hothead is projecting his anger on these 'dumb issues' in attempt to hide the hurt in his Spark. Random is just crying his Spark out incoherently.
And then Bee comes a week later and has to deal with a huge mess of emotions Blitzwing has become. He was send to investigate the moon by his team, geez... Now he knows that if he's disappeared for more than 3 days he better bring something along with a plan to make their catch-up meeting a lot more pleasant and romantic.
