Trip Regis relationships headcannons
Tumblr media
Trip x gn reader
--------------------------------------------
° it started with one of the odd jobs him and rangers do and when he saw you he was in awe becoming and the rangers took note of this with some light teasing from Lucas and some encouraging from Katie
° it takes him a while to build up the confidence to talk to you and then two of you start out as friends with his crush growing in to full on infatuation and when he finally asked you and you return the affection he's on cloud nine
° the first date is a bit of a mess but trips optimism is quite infectious making what should have been a disaster into a enjoyable and memorable in time
° trips kindness knows no bounds especially in y'all's relationship often surprising you with little gifts, trinkets and hand written notes expressing his love for you he waits on you hand a foot and would do anything for you and when you return the sentiment he swoons
° when it comes to being a time traveler and more importantly a ranger worried would be an understatement, he wants nothing more than to keep you safe but knows he has to tell you and when he does eventually he's a nervous wreck stumbling over his words as he explains everything, and if YOU happen to be a ranger from a different team he's both relieved but also asking a lot of questions at of pure curiosity and is excited at the thought of a fighting by your side.
° the whole time traveler thing and being a ranger isn't that big of a shock when it comes to the fact that he's an alien he's honestly surprised by your reaction but you tell him it wasn't that much of a surprise when it comes to the whole ranger aspect
° he loves using pet names Sticking with things like boo, honey, and sweetheart with boo being his most used one when you fill the script and use them on him he gets a little flustered which leads to some light hearted teasing from Lucas
° dates often consist of the two of you cuddling up at the clock tower or at your place enjoying some pizza or other types of fast food and watching movies or the two of you at the park for a picnic date
° he makes a habit of surprising you with breakfast in bed but it mainly consists of cereal and a cup of juice/milk maybe some bacon he's not the best cook but he tries
° when getting intimate he's kind, caring and gentle going slow making sure you're comfortable and enjoying it he will be rough if you ask but he prefers it nice and slow showering you in praise and words of love
° he gushes about you to the rest of the team but circuit is the one who hears about you the most
° he gets pouty when he can't see you for a while and the moment you're within his sight he's rushing to you with open arms
° if he wants something from you like another kiss or cuddle he'll use the puppy dog eyes and it'll work on you sometimes but if you use them on him he folds instantly
° when it comes to anniversaries and, birthdays he'll go all out often asking the other rangers plus circuit for help as he puts every ounce of love into every little detail
° he often dreads thinking of the future and tries not to think about it cause he knows that once him and the rangers job is done he'll have to return to the year 3000 and he'll often wander if you could come with him but apart of him knows he can't
Angst ending
° as the rangers gather at the beach one last time having finally captured ransik and ready to take their leave as they say there tearful goodbyes to wes. Trip makes his way to you tears in his eyes as he pulls you close holding you tight as the two of you share you tearful goodbyes not knowing if you'll ever see each other again,as trip tells you just how much he loves you and that he will never forget promising that he'll find away for you to be together again and to please don't forget him before giving you one last kiss before leaving with the time force ranger as the head back to the year 3000
Fluff ending
° trip paces around the room in the clocktower today was the day him and the rest of the time force rangers head back to the year 3000, he doesn't want to leave you but he has to return back to his time as he rambles to himself he hears a knock snapping him out of his thoughts he see you standing there with bags packed "boo w-whats all this" he asked confused,as you explain that your going with him and how you where already and he's asking a million questions a minute and you simply say "trip i love you and there's no one i want more than you I want to be with you to be by your side. Hearing those words causes trip to break out In a wide smile as he quickly pulls you in for a kiss before grabbing your hand and helping you with some of your bags as you make your way to the beach loading up the ship as you and the rangers say your goodbyes to wes as you head off back to the year 3000.

Noctis Lucis Caelum x Reader (selship)
Tumblr media
Selfship made for xivia___ on Wattpad.
Friendly reminder that English is not my first languge. You can check my Masterlists both in English and Polish here.
↠ Noctis met you when he started going to school like most people his age. You weren't very talkative. Neither was he. Maybe that's why he liked you. Unlike his peers, you didn't take the initiative to get to know him. You just existed somewhere, minding your own business.
↠ The prince was fed up with everything that surrounds him at times. At times like this, he was holed up on the roof. One time he found you there sleeping. He got confused and tried to pull back but that's when you woke up. You got shy. You gathered your things as fast as you could and got out of there. What you didn't know was that you forgot your game. Freshly bought, still in foil.
Noctis wondered if it wouldn't be better to just leave the box where it was but eventually the urge to talk about the game won out. He had just bought it and had a lot of thoughts about the plot and gameplay strategy. So the next day he found you in the hallway and gave you back. You two had a nice conversation so he walked you to your classroom at the other end of the building. That's how your friendship started.
↠ The boy heartily hated vegetables, so he kind of understood the problems with nutrition. He was a bit of a hypocrite in that regard, however, as he would remind you from time to time to eat right, even if he couldn't do it himself.
↠ You often had gaming sessions with Noctis and later Prompto as well. Mostly online but sometimes also on the couch in my apartment. Ignis was preparing only good delicacies then. Scientia scolded the boy if he misbehaved and these visits were one of the few times he really listened and obeyed him.
↠ As a friend of the prince, you managed to visit the palace. Your first visit was quite a disaster. First you broke an ancient vase, then you got lost between the long corridors and finally you ran into King Regis. You cried out of frustration. The prince found you laughing through tears in front of his father. A man tried to make you laugh by telling a childhood story about his son and it worked out quite well.
Noctis also took you to his training that day. Partly because he had to and partly to show off to you. His pride when you completely blew Gladion off and congratulated him was immense.
↠ Neither of you have confessed your feelings to the other in a typical way. Just one time, walking around the city at sunset, you held hands. And a few days later, the moment in the park was so magical that you had your first kiss. Being a couple came out without any formalities or announcements.
↠ Your dates weren't much different from what you used to do together. Gaming, shopping and trips to the city. The difference was that you went out without the boys, who sensed quite quickly that something was up.
You hid your relationship from your three friends for quite a long time. Your relationship back then was full of little touches of the hand, quick stolen kisses and unexpected truancy in the middle of the day.
↠ The prince got used to the fact that you were always sleepy. He didn't mind letting his arm be your pillow.
↠ It was you who came up with the idea to employ you in part-time work. That's how you ended up working in a sushi restaurant for a while. Since then, you can't look at such food anymore. But you had to admit that the boy was extremely caring. When he saw you weren't up to the task, he would send you on break and take over your tasks.
↠ Noctis tended to keep his feelings deep inside. If you wanted to get to know them in depth, you had to make a lot of effort. You also often told him how proud you were of him because trying to grow up to the role of a king gave him sleepless nights.
He, on the other hand, supported you more often with deeds than with words. For example, by coming to various school competitions or dealing with some issues that cause you problems. Including people who accused you of being with him for fame or profit. He had his ways with such people.
↠ Your relationship lasted quite a long time but the closer it got to marrying Lunafreya, the more Noctis considered breaking up with you. Duty won out and not wanting to hurt you later, he parted ways with you long before he left Insomnia. Still, he kept coming back to you. He has you especially on his mind now that news has reached him of the attack on the capital...

'SAYING GOODBYE'
Tumblr media
gif belongs to me
Eric had surprised you by turning up at your door. Clad in his Silver Guardian uniform, his expression told you that whatever he had to say, it was going to end in tears.
He explained that there wasn't time to waste, the Rangers from the future were able to return and were preparing to leave.
You were the one person who Eric didn't appear to hold any ill feelings to. You were younger and he had felt protective over you since you were nine and he was thirteen, and you moved in next door. You had been friends ever since, despite your different personalities, but you knew Eric better than anyone and knew his cold front was just a facade to keep anyone else from getting too close.
Eric got out of the car, looking at the group of Rangers who were saying goodbye, not knowing if they would see each other again. And as he looked over at you he knew there was a heartbreak ahead for you.
Heads turned at his arrival, and Trip froze when he saw the tears on your cheeks - indicating that Eric had told you that he was leaving.
He straightened his shoulders, taking long strides towards you when you started walking toward him, meeting in the middle. Trip swallowed thickly, unable to get out the words that he wanted to tell you.
"I'm going to miss you." You held back a sob, feeling tears falling down your cheeks.
"I'm going to miss you too." Trip brought you into his arms, and you buried your head in his shoulder, holding onto his jacket. "I love you."
"I love you too." You lifted your head, and he kissed you tenderly. You placed a hand on his cheek, feeling his tears hit your fingers.
After a few moments, Lucas spoke up, "Trip..."
You pulled away, and looked over his shoulder though he refused to take his eyes off you for a second, knowing this could be the last time you saw each other. Jen stepped into the ship, followed by Katie and you looked back at Trip, smiling softly as you combed his hair away from his forehead with your fingers.
"I'll never forget you." You told him.
"I won't forget you." He kissed you softly before reluctantly pulling away, and stepped back, sliding his hand down your arm, holding your hand for a moment as he stood an arms length away.
He let go of your hand, walking backward towards the ship, sending you a small smile, turning around when Lucas patted his shoulder. You felt someone stand beside you, looking up at Eric for a moment before looking at Trip who looked back one last time before entering the ship.
You swallowed thickly, and covered your mouth with your hand as you cried, feeling Eric place an arm around you, bringing you into his chest.
"Come on, I'll drive you home."
You leaned your head on his shoulder, allowing him to lead you to his car.
You never knew if you would see Trip, or his team again. But you always hoped that one day, he would find a way to return.

❝ KINDNESS ❞
❲ yandere! jubellian eloy floyen x gender neutral! reader ❳
summary : jubellian was aware that you were known for being kind. she knows it. so, she tried to convince herself that you are kind to everyone. she tried to prevent her unhealthy obsession from getting worse. but she couldn't help it, your kindness is addicting.
tw : yandere behavior , obsession, possessiveness, stalking, manipulation, guilt tripping, gaslighting.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
in the first timeline, jubellian fell in love with mikhail because he gave her a handkerchief when he saw her crying at a party, right?
and that was the first time that jubellian got the attention that she was seeking after so many years. thus, she decided to devote herself to mikhail.
but, what if— instead of mikhail, she met you at that said party instead? and you're the one who gave her a handkerchief after you see her crying?
you see, you are clueless about jubellian's identity. sure, you know sir regis since he was famous in the empire. and you know that he had a daughter. but you don't know that it was jubellian. so, why did you give her a handkerchief? simple, you hate it whenever you see a girl crying.
and your mother taught you that you should help people who need help. she also told you to be kind to everyone. that's why you ‘tried’ to comfort jubellian (even though you had no idea how to do so). you tried to ask her what happened and why is she crying.
and then jubellian told you everything. you just sat there next to her, not caring about your dress/suit. you just remained next to her side, listening to whatever she was saying.
and jubellian was beyond thankful for what you did. your presence was enough to calm her down. ah, this was the first time that someone gave her the attention that she was seeking for many years!
after she finished talking, you gave her a bright smile. saying that everything's gonna be alright soon. jubellian was confused, why do you look so confident about that?
you were about to say other things when you heard your little sister looking for you. you awkwardly laughed as you bid goodbye with jubellian. but before you left, jubellian made sure to ask for your name.
and after you told her your name, jubellian looks happy. you who were clueless about jubellian were thinking, smiled at her when she gave you a bright smile.
and a week after that party. you were surprised after seeing jubellian in front of your family estate. she also made sure to bring many gifts for you and your family with her.
jubellian is the type of yandere who loves spoiling her darling. she always brings you many gifts to the point that you and your family were getting overwhelmed by them.
she knows that you were weak to girls (because of your mother and little sister) that's why she used this for her own advantage.
remember when you tried to ask her to stop sending those gifts to you and your family? jubellian cried in front of you. asking if you and your family didn't like the gifts that she was sending. she just wants to see you happy, but if you wants her to stop. then she will stop.
and you were reaally guilty after seeing those tears in jubellian's eyes. that's why you told her that she can visit your family estate whenever she wants to. and boy, jubellian was overjoyed after you said that!
and also, jubellian always make sure to attend every party/banquet/events that you attend.
and remember those young ladies/young masters you try to approach you? they all faced jubellian's wrath. she either bullied them, humiliated them, or destroyed their life.
she also made sure to follow you around whenever she had free time. after all, she doesn't want you to flirt with anyone behind her back.
and when you confronted her about it. she just denied it, she won't do anything like that you know? those people are just trying to destroy your relationship with her!
and jubellian was beyond happy when you believed her! she also decided to use your weakness to pretty much isolate you from everyone. you are hers, and she won't allow anyone to have you.
“ no one loves you as much as i do, (first name). ”

The air was warm against your skin as you awaited the return of Prince Noctis, your brother Prompto, Gladio, and Ignis; your back flush against the warmed ivory column that was a part of the entrance into the castle of Insomnia. Your brow raised as the four young men opened the door, Noctis's face a fed-up expression like usual. The blonde male, your brother, let out a sigh and motioned you to follow the group as they continued to walk.
The soft sound of pages being turned and pen scraping against the soft flat surface of the paper was like music to your ears as you did research on the different places in Eos that you would be seeing on your way to Altissia for Prince Noctis's wedding. Your friend, and crush, Ignis walked up with two cans of Ebony, his arm extending as he sat beside you at the library table. You thanked him and began tidying up the table so he could set his can down when he wasn't drinking any of his Ebony.
"You're really excited about this trip, aren't you, hm?" He placed his Ebony down softly and took the book from your hands, his long slender fingers flipping through the pages.
"You want to swim in Galdin?"
"Ye-Yeah. I think it would be fun." He pushed his glasses up at the bridge and gave a soft hum.
"I can make sure we will go swimming. Go get prepared for the trip. The King wants to speak with Noctis, Gladio, your brother, and me before we set off for Hammerhead. I'm sure you'd love to make sure you have everything you need. I'll clean this up for you."
"Thanks, Iggy." You gave a soft smile before placing a soft kiss on his cheek. "You're the best. Ignis became flustered, his cheeks turning a soft pink as you left the study to head to your room.
After promising to the King that you all would be by Noct every step of the way, you climbed into the back of the Regalia with Noctis and Gladio while Prompto climbed into the passenger seat and Ignis took the driver seat. You waved goodbye to Cor who closed the door and then smiled at Ignis as he looked at you through the rearview mirror.
"Well. Princes will be Princes." He said with a matter-of-fact tone as he smiled at you slightly.
"So much for royal protocol." Added Ignis as he ran his fingers through his ash-brown hair.
"Not like you had to give a royal address." The muscular dark-haired man, Gladio stated.
"Your Highness!" Drautos, King Regis's right-hand man called out, walking carefully behind the King as they made their way down to the five of you.
In the midst of Prompto driving, after Ignis agreed to take a break from driving, the Regalia broke down. Noctis, Gladio, and Prompto waited outside of the car trying to get someone to stop and help. When you suggested that you could easily get someone to pull over Ignis shot you a glare and pointed at the front seat making you move into the seat beside him.
"We all ready to head out?" You asked, feeling super excited about getting to meet Lady Lunafreya.
"Tch. I'm ready as I'll ever be." Noct said as he rested his head back against the back of the leather seat, closing his eyes as Iggy began to drive."
"What? I-I was just stating-."
"U-Uh… really?" Noct sounded defeated as yet another vehicle passed by without stopping to check to see if you all were okay or not.
After paying with the rest of the fund you and Ignis returned to the other three handing Prompto and Noctis their snacks and drinks and handing Gladio his drink before plopping down on Ignis's lap after he sat down. He tensed up, his cheeks going red as he cleared his throat then opened his Ebony and took a drink. You pulled your phone out and began playing some King's Knight while leaning back against him to rest your head on his shoulder. He froze, hiding his face slightly as Prompto snapped a photo of the both of you.
After agreeing to push the vehicle to Hammerhead and getting settled in so you could rest, a blonde woman who was the mechanic of the place introduced herself as Cindy. You smiled and shook her hand introducing yourselves. While she and her grandfather, Cid, worked on the car, Ignis asked if you could join him in gathering supplies while the other rested at the diner.
"Sorry about the Regalia, Y/N. I know how excited you are about the travel." Ignis said with a soft smile, his green eyes looking into yours.
"Hey... don't worry about it. I'll love every step of the way as long as I have you by my side. You're my best friend and I'm glad to have you four with me. So. Are we going to just set up camp here then?"
"I don't know. Hopefully, the Regalia will be done by nightfall but if we have to stay here then so be it." You nodded with a smile and grabbed some Ebony along with a few other necessities that might be needed for the trip.
"Hm. We are low on funds. Maybe there is a way to earn some?" You asked looking over at him.
"Maybe we can ask Cindy about where we can earn some Gil." You gave a quick nod.
Prompto made you stay back at Hammerhead while they did some bounties to make the quick Gil so it was slightly boring for you until Cindy offered that you could help if you wanted. It piqued your interest so you greed, allowing her to show you the ropes. It was so fascinating learning about the car and all of the different parts along with what they did. When the boys returned the car was ready to go but since it was getting late, Cindy lent the group some Gil to pay for you to stay at the camper next to Takka's diner.
"So what now?" Gladio asked taking a gulp of his drink.
"I say we talk to Cindy to see if there is any way we are able to earn some quick Gil for the travels ahead." Prompto nodded at Iggy's statement and took more pictures here and there.
"Sounds good. The sooner we can get out of here the better." Noct said as he stood, yawning and stretching. After quickly finishing your level you stood and pushed your phone into your pocket following the guys to the garage to talk with the blonde mechanic.
Gladio, Prom, and Noct sat outside at the tables playing King's Knight together while you watched Ignis work his magic in the kitchen. Your eyes stayed glued to his forearms after he rolled his sleeves up, his veins popping out slightly as his muscles flexed with each movement. You couldn't help but be mesmerized by his hands and how expertly he moved his fingers as he added ingredients and used the utensils to cook the food. You could almost imagine how they would feel against your skin. Since you were so caught up in watching how his hands worked, you didn't hear him speaking to you.
Once everyone was done and the dishes were cleaned, you and the guys quickly changed into nightclothes. The feeling of someone's eyes on you made you shudder. You turned to see Ignis quickly looking away and you felt yourself becoming flustered as you climbed into the camper bed. Knowing you would be sharing the bed with Ignis made your heart race even more. You currently had two emotions running through you at the moment. Nervousness about sharing the bed with Iggy and you just felt off as if something bad was bound to happen soon. You just shook it off as nerves.
"Y/N? Are you alright?" You began to blush and gave a nervous laugh as you rubbed the back of your neck.
"Ye-Yes, Iggy? I'm um I'm fine. Do you need anything from me?" Your face grew hot as Ignis raised a brow at you before continuing to cook. Once he plated the food he handed you two plates, one being for Prompto and the other being for yourself.
"Just relax is all I ask of you. I'll see if Gladio will help with the dishes after we all get done eating."
After saying goodnight and turning the lights off you felt the bed dip from the weight of Ignis climbing into the bed and resting his head on his pillow. You couldn't help but to turn and face him, the light from outside spilling in and highlighting his features. It was rare to see Ignus without his glasses and frankly, he looked ethereal. Seeing him like this took the nervousness away. You gasped and went to turn away as he opened his eyes, turning his head to look at you until you felt his large hand wrap around your wrist.
The next day you said your saying goodbyes to Cindy before heading off to Galdin Quay. Gladio sat in the back with you and Noct again as Prompto sat in the passenger seat taking photos along the way. You smiled as Gladio wrapped an arm around you, pulling you against him, sharing one of his favorite books with you to help pass the time. Ignis chuckled as you stuck your tongue out at Prompto when he began taking pics of you and Gladio before you returned to Gladio's book.
"Is something troubling you, Y/N?" His voice was low as he let go of your wrist and reached up brushing a loose strand of your hair behind your ear, sending electricity through you as his soft skin brushed against your cheek.
"Just… I feel as if something basis going to happen. Something just doesn't feel right, Iggy."
"I assure you it's nothing. You should get some rest. First thing in the morning we will be heading to Galdin Quay." He gave a soft smile before you turned and faced your back to him again. The feeling of Ignis scooting closer made you smile to yourself unaware of him being hesitant at first wrapping an arm around you; his warmth helping you drift off to sleep.
You were finally in Galdin. You made your way across the water on the wooden alk way toward the entrance of where the restaurant was located, running into a very mysterious man in strange yet fancy-looking clothing with wine-red hair and golden eyes. You couldn't deny how attractive the man was and found yourself staring at him. You raised a brow as Ignis stepped in front of you slightly as the man's eyes landed on yours.
You were informed by a man named Dino who is a journalist that yes the docks are closed only temporarily but he could pull some strings and get a boat for the group but only if you agreed to help out with something. He needed some help gathering some ore for his side job as a jeweler.
"I'm afraid you're out of luck." The man's voice was husky with a sly tone weaved in. It sounded like heaven.
"Are we now?" Noctis asked sounding a bit irritated.
"The boats bring you here." He stated motioning back to the dock where the ships usually stop for passengers and goods that are being transported.
"What about 'em?" Prompto asked looking a tad nervous like he usually does.
"Well, they'll not take you forth." The man said looking a bit defeated, scratching the back of his head under his hat.
"And what's your story?" Gladio looked upset as the man began to walk through your group towards the walkway.
"I'm an impatient traveler. Ready to turn ship. The ceasefire's getting us nowhere." He said holding something in his hand before flicking it towards Noctis. Gladio caught it before it could hit Noct's face.
"Tch, what's this? Some kind of souvenir?" Gladio asked examining the coin.
"They make those?" Prompto asked excitedly.
"What? No!" Noct looked at your brother with a warning glare.
"Consider it your allowance." The man said with a slight smile.
"Oh yeah? And who's 'allowing' us?" Gladio looked pretty fed up at this point as he looked at the guy. Your cheeks became flushed and you felt your throat tighten as the man's eyes landed on you with a smirk on his face.
"A man of no consequence." He said before turning and leaving.
"Yeah right…" Noct said rolling his eyes.
"Do you trust what he was saying?" Prompto asked grabbing your hand to make sure you were okay.
"I am skeptical yet I won't brush off the possibility that it may be. Let us go check it out for ourselves. Shall we?" Ignis looked over at you as you nodded and gave your brother's hand a squeeze before walking to the docks.
Since the group agreed, you asked if you could come along. It was just gathering some gems so there would be no fighting involved. The guys agreed so you felt excited to be a part of the group like when they went out to do certain bounties and tasks. Even though it was just collecting the gems, you still felt like you were doing something. Prompto chuckled and ruffled your hair as you all headed to the car to drive to the nearby location Dino had pointed out for you all where the ore was.
Ignis stopped and grabbed your hand out of instinct, pulling you against himself as he nodded toward what made him stop. It was a giant bird that they saw during one of their bounties in Hammerhead, You blushed at how close you were, yours and his nose brushing as he looked back down at you, the guys staring at the two of you. You cleared your throat softly so as to not wake the beast and pulled away.
The next morning you woke a bit before Noctis. Gladio smirked and nudged your brother as soon as he saw you sit up. Prompto smiled and grabbed a plate that had a muffin on it with a note from Ignis then walked over, sat beside you, and handed it to you.
"I can stay here. You guys go ahead and get the gem. Just to be safe." You stated meekly, knowing what they were going to suggest anyway. Iggy gave a nod and motioned for the other three to follow him carefully and quietly.
You covered your mouth and hid behind the jagged rock as the giant bird woke. It stood, straightening its wings, and flew off causing a huge strong gust of wind, allowing the guys to grab the gem with no problem. Of course, Prompto took a quick snapshot of the creature before it was able to fly away then quickly met up with the guys. When they returned and you were all walking back to the Regalia, Gladio nudged Ignis with a smirk.
"So... what was that about earlier, huh?" Ignis froze as he became flustered, pushing his glasses up nervously and continuing to walk.
"What do you mean?" Iggy cleared his throat as he glanced over at you who had a matching red face.
"Yeah. What do you mean, Gladdy?" You asked raising a brow while crossing your arms over your chest, huffing a little.
"Come on, sis. I've known you had a crush on Igni- ow!"
"Prompto! Shut up!" You punched his arm and looked away, feeling too flustered to look at Ignis. "Le-Let's just hurry back to Dino and give him his stupid rock. It's getting dark anyway."
Since it was going to be overnight until he boat would arrive, the five of you check into your hotel that Dino paid for and changed into swim suits. Once you stepped out of the bathroom, Ignis, Gladio,a nd Noct froze. Their eyes glueing to you as they stared at you in awe. Prompto stepped in front of you and crossed his arms.
"Guys... You two also? C'mon now. Let's head to the water, sis." Your brother said with one last glare before heading down to the beach with you.
When the other three arrived you flung some water at Gladio, laughing as he ran into te water and splashed you back. Ignis sat at the edge of the water watching you, Gladio, Prompto, and Noctis play. When you noticed he wasn't in the water you swam over then walked over to him, his green eyes looking up at you.
"Come join me, Iggy? Relax and have some fun. Please?" You gave him puppy dog eyes with a cute pout.
"Oh, alright." He stood and grabbed your hand, walking into the water with you. "You um. You look beautifu." Ignis felt stupid and couldn't find the right words as you placed your hands on his shoulders, using the water as leverage to wrap your legs around his hips, locking them behind him. You smiled and placed a kiss to his cheek then rested your head against the crook of his neck.
"Thanks, Iggy. You're so tense. Relax, yeah?" He let out a shaky breath and relaxed as best as he could, holding you close.
You couldn't sleep as you listened to the sound of Noctis, Prompto, and Gladio snoring. Noticing Ignis wasn't making any noise you turned to face him. In the dim lighting you could see he was laying on his back until he noticed you were facing him, his eyes were now on you. He opened his arms, hinting for you to get closer so you did. Ignis gave a small smile and rested his hand on your lower back while you lay your head on his chest. He took his free hand and grabbed yours. You looked up at him, taking in his beauty, listening to his quickening heartbeat.
"Your heart is beating so fast." Your voice was a quiet whisper as you sat up on your arms slightly, looking down into his eyes.
"It's nothing. YOu should get some rest now. Tomorrow we will be on our way to see Lady Lunafreya."
"Okay." You were hesitant but you lay back down, pressing a kiss to his jawline. "Goodnight, Iggy."
"Goo-. Hm." He cleared his throat and tightened his arm around you. "Goodnight, Y/N."
You felt butterflies in your stomach as he gently kissed your forehead, his finger tips running up and down your side before he finally fell asleep. You fell asleep shortly after listening to the sound of his heart softly drumming against his chest and his quiet breathing.
“For 'Darling’. Ignis left this for you.” He said with a smirk before heading over to stand with Gladio again.
Noct sat up and yawned, stretching a bit before he got out of bed while rubbing his eyes. Finally, the prince of slumber was awake. You smiled as you began to eat the muffin Iggy had left for you. It was your favorite. He must’ve remembered.
You felt your face grow warm as you opened the note which read:
'Darling. I will be back shortly. I needed to go gather some supplies. Do enjoy. I want you to have some sustenance before we head out to meet Lady Luna. -Iggy’
You couldn’t say anything as you all made your way back towards Insomnia. Seeing all of the giant Imperial ships flying overhead made your heart sink, knowing what the papers said are true. Ignis had to turn off the to the side road since the Imperials sat up a blockade. Since the four would be going to investigate, you agreed to stay behind in the Regalia.
“Heya. Mornin’.” Prompto greeted.
“Where’s Specs?” He asked, placing his hands on his hips.
“Should be back any minute now.” Gladio reassured him. A few moments later Iggy returned with a newspaper in hand and a glum look on his face.
“What’s that look for?” Noct asked curiously as Iggy handed the paper to Gladio.
“It’s in all the papers.” Iggy said with a somber tone.
“What is?” Noct looked like he was growing impatient like a child being told to wait patiently for a treat.
“Insomnia falls-” Prompto read.
“What?! Is this your idea of a joke?” Noct spat angry words at Ignis.
“I need you to calm down so I can explain.” Ignis tried to speak reason. You stood and walked over to Iggy, unsure of what was going on.
“I’m as calm as I’m gonna get-.”
“There was an attack. The Imperials have taken the Crown City.” You covered your mouth as Gladio began to read from the paper. The King was found dead.
“No wait…. hold on. It’s lies.”
“If only.” Prompto said, turning to look at the group. “We have to turn back.”
“It may not be safe for us there-.” Ignis said with concern.
“It may not be safe for us here.” He added. And he was right. What if the Imperials look for us here.
“Turn back?” Gladio asked, looking at Noct.
“Yeah.”
Before they could walk off, you grabbed Prompto’s wrist and pulled him close, wrapping your arms around him tightly, and resting your forehead against his. You were terrified. Out of all the dangerous missions they had done before, knowing the Imperials were involved made you worry more than usual. He gave a small smile as he placed his hand on your cheek.
“Don’t worry bout me, lil sis. I’ll be well taken care of.”
“You better be. I’ll kick their asses if you aren’t.” He let out a soft chuckle before meeting up with the others. Ignis patted Prompto’s shoulder with a nod before they all vanished behind the walls leading to the overlook of Insomnia. The sounds of gunshots make your heart sink due to not knowing what was going on.
~A Few Days Later~
The group was finally in Lestallum to meet up with Gladio's little sister, Iris. It was nice to finally be able to sleep in an actual bed again after having to camp on the ground in a tent for a bit. You, however, felt extremely nervous since you would be rooming with Ignis while Gladio roomed with Noctis and Prompto. Ignis seemed irritated as Gladio kept going on about everything he wanted to do and what things the group should do with Iris. Gladio raised a brow when you walked over, placing your hands on his shoulders and kissing his cheek.
"How about we all rest a bit and tomorrow we can get some cup noodles then go exploring with Iris? Does that sound good? I'm sure Ignis would love a breather. He's been the driver after all." Gladio looked between the two of you and gave a small nod then left with a wink at Ignis.
"You didn't have to do that." Ignis stated as he began unbuttoning his shirt and then taking his gloves off.
"I-I um. I know. I just figured you needed to relax is all." You assured as you averted your eyes from him when he opened his shirt, pulling it off and folding it, placing it on the bed before walking over to you. He placed his index and middle finger under your chin, tilting your head up and making you look into his eyes.
"You've been awfully quiet as of late. Is it something I've done?" Your heart broke at the expression of worry on his face.
"Of course not, Iggy! You could never do something that would upset me. You always do so much for us and it's just... all of this is so much but with you around. it puts me at ease." You smile up at him, resting your hands against his bare chest.
"I try to protect you as much as I can. I can't bear losing you, Y/N." You felt your face grow warm as he pulled your face close to his, your lips brushing against his as the door opened up.
"Hey, Iggy. You think we could go out and eat tonigh- oh my Shiva!" Prompto looked up from his camera, his eyes going wide as you quickly pulled away. Noctis stood behind him with a smirk. Ignis let out a sigh as he walked over to his bag and grabbed a fresh shirt.
"I-I'm going to get some fresh air." Prompto grabbed your arm softly before you could walk passed him and Noct.
"N-No. We can leave."
"It's okay really. I just.. need some fresh air. I have my phone if you need me. Now, I better go. I feel as if I'm going to pass out." Prompto gave a nod and let you pass so you could leave.
Lestallum is such a beautiful city at night. The air filled with the delicious aroma of all kinds of foods and sweets. You took note of the nearby restaurant you wanted to check out on the way back to the room while making your way down to the overlook that gave a beautiful view of the Disc of Cauthess. You were so caught up in its beauty that you didn't hear footsteps as someone walked up behind you, stopping beside you.
"Beautiful... isn't it?" That voice.

I’ll Be Home For Christmas
Pairing: Steve Rogers x Reader Words: 1607 Warnings: Fluff, Angst, Drugging, Mentions of assassinations, Implied human trafficking, one swear word A/N: This is part of my 25 Days of Christmas Writing Challenge. For those that are interested, I still have 18 request spots available. Just send me a request for what you would like me to write along with the character. I will write for Steve Rogers, Bucky Barnes, Tony Stark, Peter Parker, Legolas, Thranduil, and Kili. Feedback and reblogs are appreciated. If you want to be tagged in future works, just drop me an ask.
With less than a week left until Christmas Eve, the compound is silent. Steve had been gone on a recon mission in Stuttgart since just after Thanksgiving. The rest of the team were all spending time with their loved ones all over the country. I had just settled in for a Game of Thrones binge-session when Friday announces that my presence is required in the briefing room.
With a long-suffering sigh, I haul myself up from the couch and shuffle over to the elevators that would take me out of the living quarters and to the floor where all the offices, interrogation, and conference rooms are. After a short ride and even shorter stroll, I reach the right door and enter without bothering to knock.
At the front of the room stands Maria Hil, Tony, and Nick Fury. They all look up from where they are bent over a hologram when I enter. "Agent 19, you're right on time. Please, have a seat," Nick says, pointing to the chairs around the table. I take the one closest to the front.
"What is this about?" I enquire.
"What do you know about Kevin Ivanovich?" Maria asks, getting straight to the point.
"He's a former KGB operative working out of Moscow. He's responsible for the assassination of over 30 SHIELD agents, but we've never been able to catch him," I recall from the stories Nat and Clint had told me.
"We've received a tip-off from local intelligence that Mr. Ivanovich will be crawling out of his hiding place for a holiday gala hosted by Borris and Elena Makaveli. It also just so happens to be a cover for a silent auction on everything from advanced weaponry to enhanced individuals. We already have agents in place to take down the auction. But Ivanovich is known for escaping the net, no matter how tight it is. Which is where you come in," Maria explains as she hands me the folder with all relevant information. "We need you to go to Moscow, posing as the daughter and heir of a wealthy American arms-dealer, standing in for her father at the auction. We need you to charm him, get him to trust you by helping him escape the party, let his guard down. Once it is, we need you to drug him and take him to the American embassy, where I will be waiting to transport him to the Raft. Do you have any questions?"
"Yeah, I have a few questions. What is the name of my alias? How am I getting to Russia? How am I getting into the party? And when do I leave?" I ask, crossing my legs.
"The informant sent over an invitation for you. I'm loaning you a private jet with a crew that will take you directly to Moscow Sheremetyevo International Airport, where a car and driver will be waiting for you. You leave in the next two hours. We thought you could pick out your alias yourself," Tony answers with his usual flamboyancy.
Once the meeting is over, I head directly to my room. I pick a large suitcase to store my clothing, toiletries, and accessories for the trip. I choose a smaller, matching case to hold my favorite knives and guns. Finally, I go to the safe in the back of my closet. Inside are several manilla envelopes with the names of my various aliases written on top. After several moments of contemplation, I take out the envelope bearing the name Alexandra Gilbert and toss it onto my bed before going back into my closet to change.
A pair of white-washed skinny jeans, a red cashmere sweater, knee-high black leather boots trimmed with faux fur, and a faux fur coat later, I'm mission ready.
A short car ride, a nine-hour-long flight, and another car ride through peak-hour traffic, I am checked into a luxurious suite at the St. Regis hotel (generously paid for by Stark Industries).
The next evening, after a day of tourist-related activities, I am dressed in a burgundy colored evening gown with golden stilettos and accessories as I ascend the steps of the Bolshoi Theatre. The guards at the entrance take a cursory glance at my invitation before directing me on where to go.
Once inside, it is easy enough to find my mark and strut over to where he is seated at the bar. After ordering a drink and an hour of flirting, one of Ivanovich's men walks over to whisper in his ear. He gives a short nod before turning back to me with a simpering smile. "It would seem the main attraction of the evening is about to start. Would you like me to escort you, gorgeous?" he asks in his thick Russian accent.
"I would be honored, handsome," I answer with a coy smile, hooking my arm through his as he leads me across the room and to a side door, hidden behind a curtain. We walk down a long hallway, my heels clicking on the polished marble floor until we reach a large, dome-shaped room filled with people dressed in their finest suits and dresses milling about the room as they peruse the items up for auction.
We had already circled the room twice when a guard bursts in shouting that SHIELD was on their way just before a flashbang went off and people dressed in black tactical gear flooded into the room.
"Follow me!" I yell at Ivanovich, pulling him behind me to the hidden door along the wall closest to us, then through another series of hallways until we reach outside of the building where a car was waiting for us.
Once in the car, I hand him a glass of vodka, which he downs immediately. Barely five minutes have passed before he is slumped over in his seat, snoring loudly. I direct the driver to turn around and drive to the American Embassy while I put Ivanovich in a pair of vibranium handcuffs, then turn to look out at the snowstorm raging outside the window.
After Maria had taken custody of the Raft's newest guest, I head back to my hotel room to change clothes, pick up my bags, and make for the airport. I had called ahead to tell the captain to get the plane ready for departure. However, when I get to the airport, all flights had been delayed indefinitely due to the storm.
With a disheartened sigh, I find a cafè and buy myself a large hot chocolate and a croissant. Sitting at a small table in the corner, I take out my phone and unlock it, staring at the picture of Steve and I with our arms wrapped around each other at Tony's Halloween party last year. We had gone as Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf. I briefly contemplate calling him to let him know I probably wouldn't be back in time for Christmas before a voice opposite me draws my attention.
"Excuse me, miss, but is this seat taken?" says the one voice I would recognize anywhere. Whipping my head up, I'm face to face with Steve. He looks angelic, bundled up in a blue and white sweater with a white t-shirt and light wash jeans with boots, his cheeks, and nose a rosy red from the cold wind outside.
"Steve!" I squeal as I hop out of my seat to throw myself into his arms.
"Hey, gorgeous," he grins as he wraps his arms around me, burying his face in my hair. "Fuck, I missed you so much," he mumbles.
"Language, cap," I tease while burying my face in his chest, breathing in the smell of home. After several long moments of just quietly standing together, I hesitantly pull back far enough to see his face. "I don't understand what are you doing in Russia of all places? I thought you would be home by now."
"Well, by the time the mission was over, the storm had already closed down the airport where I was supposed to take off. The guy at the office told me I might have better luck getting a flight at a larger airport. I was planning on grabbing a coffee before trying my luck at one of the airline desks when I saw you sitting here. What are you doing here?" he asks, delicately cupping my cheek as if to check that I'm real.
"I had a mission here. I was supposed to be a tourist, so Tony let me borrow one of his private jets. I was about to go home, but the plane was grounded because of the storm," I explain.
Over the next few hours, we sit in the cafè, sipping hot chocolate and just talking while we wait for the storm to pass. It's nearly midnight when I get a call from the pilot that they had been cleared to fly. Grabbing our luggage, Steve and I make a mad dash for the plane. Once we're on board, the stewardess closes the door and helps us get settled before telling the pilot that everything is ready for takeoff.
We reach New York just as the sun is starting to set. Happy is at the airstrip to pick us up and take us back to the compound, where the rest of the team and their loved ones are already gathered, for dinner.
When we stroll into the dining room hand in hand, Tony cheers, "The lovebirds are back! Now Capsicle can carve the turkey so we can eat," he grins while the rest laugh, and we take our seats at the table filled with our family.

Book Four: War (Gladiolus x Reader) Chapter Twenty
It wasn't long before Noctis was separated from Gladio and Ignis due to the wrecked train on the tracks. It also only took Ardyn a few minutes to begin taunting him. He gripped (Y/n)'s sword tightly as he insulted the chancellor before continuing to proceed forward. He reaches another wrecked train car when daemons began swarming him. He sliced down a few and created an opening for him to run.
Noctis manages to make it into a now derelict building where he stops to catch his breath. After a moment, he drops to one knee, reaches into his pocket, and pulls out something clenched in his fist. He slowly opens his palm to reveal the Ring of Lucii. His hands begin to shake as he stares at it and he grunts rapidly, as though wracked with pain. He unsteadily slides the ring onto his finger, roaring in pain and his eyes briefly glowing red as he succeeds in this struggle. Catching his breath once again, Noctis stares at the ring of his ancestors, flexes his hand, and rises from his knees. "The time has come."
Switching between the Ring and War's sword, Noctis destroyed any daemons that targeted him. He made his way towards Zegnautus Keep. He eventually found the elevator leading to the Keep. However, daemons poured out of the lift when the doors opened.
Once killing the enemies, Noctis boarded the elevator and rides it up to Zegnautus Keep. When he stepped off the elevator, he heard Ardyn taunting him again. He tried his best to ignore the chancellor as he walked the halls of the Keep.
When rounding one corner, he spots Ardyn at the other end of the hall walking away from a downed magitek trooper. He quickly hid once seeing the lifeless machine stand, taking a zombie-like posture. He sneaks by the rogue axeman, only to stumble into more further down the hallway.
After some time, Noctis starts to see and hear Prompto. Every time he tried to help his best friend, he was greeted by a lifeless magitek. The prince realized Ardyn was playing more tricks on him and he was becoming frustrated.
Using the keycard he recently upgraded, Noctis takes the elevator to an upper level and proceeds across a bridge leading to the central lift. He carefully made his way across a catwalk towards a control panel for the central elevator. He tried to use his upgraded keycard, but it didn't work. "Gotta find a way to make it move."
"Try this."
Noctis was startled by the voice and spun around, coming face to face with Death. He stared into her golden eyes for a few seconds before looking down at what she was offering him. It was another keycard. "Well, uh...thanks." Using the generator keycard, he was able to activate the control panel and give power to the elevator.
The two begin to make their way back across the catwalk towards the central elevator. They didn't make it far before a gargantua daemon suddenly lands on the platform just beyond the end of the catwalk. "The hell?" Noctis glared at the enemy.
Death went to summon her scythe the moment the gargantua raises its sword. She went to attack the daemon, but the daemon brings its sword down and shatters the catwalk. The Horseman and Noctis fall into the depths of Zegnautus Keep.
As they fell, Noctis gripped (Y/n)'s blade tightly. He focused on what she taught him and wrapped an arm around Death's waist before tossing the blade. He warped the moment the sword embedded into the wall, taking the girl with him. They both looked up to see how far they fell. "Damn..." Noctis cursed.
Death looked down. "There's still quite a fall left."
The boy also looked down and grimaced at the sight. He thought for a few seconds until he steeled himself and prepared to warp a second time. "Hold on," he told the girl before yanked the blade out of the wall. Adjusting their position, he tossed the blade downward. It lodged itself into the ground and the familiar sensation of warping filled his being.
Warping to the bottom of the central shaft, Noctis sighed in relief and released Death. "You okay?"
"I'm fine all thanks to you." She looked around, noticing the large pile of debris and the bodies of imperial troopers. When seeing a familiar figure among the dead, she frowned. "Oh, no..."
Noctis followed her gaze and spotted the body of Ravus. What else caught his attention was the deceased man's severed mechanical arm still clinging to the haft of the late King Regis' sword. The blade stands impaled in the floor beside Ravus' corpse. Noctis gazes at the dead high commander in silent sadness.
After a moment, he reaches out toward the haft of his father's sword. At his touch, Ravus' severed arm falls to land on the first son of Tenebrae's chest. Noctis pulls his hand back from the weapon, taking a moment to first kneel beside Ravus and look upon his face a final time. Finally, the prince stands and grasps his father's royal arm, pulling it free.
Death walked over to War's blade and did the same. She gazed sorrowfully at the black and crimson weapon. Noctis peered over at her before making his way over. "We'll get (Y/n) back."
She smiled at him. "I know we will." She switched out her scythe, deciding to use her sister's sword. "Let's get moving. We have to find your friends."
Joining forces, Noctis and Death make their way through Zegnautus Keep. They continued to listen to Ardyn taunt them both over the loudspeaker. At one point, the sable-haired girl summoned War's blade and impaled the loudspeaker, silencing the man for a short while. She sighed contently. "Finally, some peace and quiet."
"Until we come across another loudspeaker," Noctis said.
"Then I'll destroy that one, too."
He smirked at her reply before returning his focus to searching for the others.
Deeper into Zegnautus Keep, they were soon being stalked by the foras daemon. The duo kept on their toes while proceeding forward. They fell into a few of Ardyn's traps, but there was one they walked right into that proved to be difficult to escape. Translucent, electrified doors close at either end of the hallway and begin closing in on Noctis and Death. The magitek troopers on the floor rose and set their sights on the duo.
"Didn't see that coming!" Noctis snarled.
"A little pain never hurt anyone. On you go. Hurry. While you dawdle, people are dying," Ardyn said.
"We've really gone and done it now."
Death summoned (Y/n)'s blade and killed the magiteks. "We're not giving up."
Ignis' voice suddenly calls out from the other end of the hallway in the direction Noctis and Death had been going. "Noct? Is that you?"
"Hey! Noct! Can you hear us?" Gladio asked.
"Ignis, Gladio!" The prince shouted.
"Where are you?" The tactician inquired.
Gladio is able to see through the doors at the other end of the hallway. He takes notice of Noctis' and Death's situation. The doors have almost finished closing in on them. He went to search for a way to save the two, but he stopped when seeing the Horseman create a hole in one of the doors. She gritted her teeth when feeling the electricity course through her body, but she fought through the pain and absorbed it. Weakly, she lowers the blade as Noctis leaps through the hole she created. She followed him, crumpling on the floor beside him. She breathed heavily, her body healing itself.
Noctis places a hand on her shoulder. "Thanks for the save."
She managed a small smile. "Consider it payback for saving me from that fall earlier."
He stood up, helping the Horseman to her feet. He then looked over at Ignis and Gladio. "How'd you guys get here?"
"After we were separated, we received "help" from the usual suspect," Ignis stated.
"That bastard's playing with us. But at least we're together," Gladio said.
"All but two of us."
Just then, Ardyn's voice rung out from the loudspeaker. "Reunited with your retainers at last. How very touching. Must be a fine feeling, having friends. Look how happy you are! I pray you find your dear Prompto soon. And you mustn't forget the lovely (Y/n). It's impolite to keep a lady waiting."
Gladio glared at the loudspeaker at hearing the chancellor mention the girl. "Damn bastard."
"Once we find Prompto, we'll search for War. She doesn't have much time left," Death said.
"Then let's hurry."
She smirked at the trio. "I've a feeling someone else is going to find him before us."
"What?" Noctis asked.
"Famine," Ignis answered.
"Speaking of her..." Death's voice trailed off when she could sense her sister's location. "Follow me."
Noctis, Ignis, and Gladio followed the girl through the hallways of the Keep. They followed her to an elevator, where they headed up to the cell block. There, they found Famine helping Prompto out of a cell. The three boys make their over to the sharpshooter.
"Hey, you alright?" Gladio asked.
"Are you hurt? Do you need help?" Ignis inquired.
"I'm fine," Prompto said as Famine released him. He stumble towards them and almost tripped, but  Noctis caught him. "Thank you, Noct. Tell me. Were you worried about me?"
"Of course I was. What kind of question is that?" Noctis retorts.
Prompto managed to steady himself with his best friend's help. "Of course. That's why you came, like I believed you would."
"Prompto..."
"That's why I told myself I couldn't die. Not until I could see you and hear you tell me I'm not a fake—that I'm the real me."
"I'm sorry," Noctis muttered melancholically.
Prompto shook his head. "Don't be. Everything's alright now."
Once the two boys separated, Famine provided healing for the blonde. Seeing the minor cuts and bruises heal, she smiled at him. "There, all better."
Prompto smiled back at her. "Thank you."
"Well then, now that we're all together, our next move should be finding War," Death said.
"About that..." Noctis trailed off.
"We don't have weapons," Gladio said.
The sable-haired girl blinked in surprise. That's when she remembers Noctis only had her sister's sword with him earlier. "That is a problem..."
"I propose we search the area," Ignis suggested.
"It couldn't hurt," Famine said.
"Then let's look around," Noctis stated.
The group make their way back toward the central area of this level of Zegnautus Keep after rescuing Prompto. It wasn't long before Ignis stopped them. "Noct, do you hear that?"
"Hear what?" Noctis asked, looking toward his advisor.
"I've heard this sound before—on the train, just before your weapons failed you. It's nearby, and it may hold the key to restoring your power." The six of them make their way across the catwalk leading to the central area of this level of the Keep. They come to a halt in front of a room sealed with large metal doors. "It's here," Ignis said.
Noctis approaches the metal doors in the center of the enormous room. "This thing?" He places his hand against one of the doors and tried to open it, but both were tightly sealed. "Door's locked."
"It's coming from within. Is there no way through?" Ignis questioned.
"There's a way," Prompto solemnly said. All eyes were on him as he hesitantly steps up to the door's scanner and raises the back of his right wrist to it. As the doors slide open, he resumes speaking while staring off into the room, unable to make eye contact with the others. "So, MTs... They've got those codeprints...just like I do."
"Do they? Never looked," Noctis said, unfazed.
"Yeah... So, as it turns out...I'm one of them. Not exactly something I could tell people growing up in Lucis." Prompto is fighting back tears, but continues speaking. "Still... You guys are like...the only friends I've ever known. I just hope that things can stay the way they were."
"Whatever. Who cares where you were born?"
"I don't see you turning against us. Not now, or ever," Ignis stated.
"Thanks, guys. Still...I can't change where I came from. What I am," Prompto mumbled.
"Since when does where you come from matter to you?" Noctis asked. "You never once treated me as a prince." He playfully punches Prompto's shoulder.
"He's got you there," Gladio chimed in.
"Never so much as a "Highness"," Ignis added.
"We're done here. C'mon, crown citizen," Noctis said.
Gladio steps over to Ignis to help guide him into the room. He gives Prompto's shoulder a friendly smack as they walk past. "You're one of us, right?"
Ignis stops and turns back towards the marksman. "Unless you'd rather not be."
Prompto smiles with a nod. Before following them, Famine walked up to him. She playfully nudges him in the side. "I bet that's a weight off your shoulders."
"I do feel a lot better," he confessed.
He and Famine follow the others into the room. Inside it, they find the emperor's abandoned clothing laying upon the throne. They also find a large bank of computers, which are the cause of Noctis' lost powers. Without hesitating, the raven-haired boy rams his father's sword through the machines.
"So...did it work?" Prompto asked.
"With the device down and out, Noct's power should be up and running," Ignis answered.
"Go on, try it," Gladio told Noctis.
"Alright. Moment of truth." Noctis holds out his hand and conjures a sword. Prompto claps in celebration.
"We're back, baby," Gladio smirked. "Now we can hunt down that damned monster."
Noctis nodded in agreement. "Let's roll."
The moment the group left the emperor's throne room, the gargantua daemon that caused Noctis and Death to fall earlier lands on the platform in front of them. It's quickly joined by other daemons, who begin manifesting. "Not you again," Noctis groaned.
"New friend?" Prompto inquired.
"You really need to pick 'em better," Gladio chuckled.
Before the boys could even summon their weapons, Famine casted a powerful lightning spell. Myriads of lightning bolts manifested from thin air and struck the daemons. Many of the weaker ones perished from the spell while the fewer strong ones remained. The golden-haired girl stepped forward in front of the group as the remaining enemies recovered from the spell. "I'll handle these guys. You all need to find War. She's running out of time."
"But..." Prompto began.
She sent a smile his way. "I'll be fine."
Gladio lowered his hand. "Where do we even begin?"
"The last I saw the dullahan it was wandering around the lower levels of the Keep. Start there. I'll meet up with you all once I've dealt with these guys."
"Be careful," the sharpshooter said.
"Let's go." Noctis led everyone but Famine out of the enormous room. They returned to the elevator and immediately ride it to the lower levels of Zegnautus Keep.
As the lift carried them down, Gladio felt an intense burning sensation in his pocket. He winced from the extreme heat and quickly took out what the cause was. It was the summoning orb. The shield was unable to hold it any longer and accidentally dropped it. "Damn..." He tried to pick it up, but Death stopped him.
"Wait," she held up her hand. Squatting down, she watched the orb closely as it began rolling around.
Prompto lifted his foot to allow the orb to roll by. "What's going on?"
"It's going crazy," Noctis commented when the orb picked up speed.
"It's never done that before," Gladio said.
The closer the elevator got to the lower levels, the faster the orb rolled around. Death promptly caught it as the lift door slid open. She wasn't bothered by the burning sensation, her minor injuries healing within seconds. "War's using what strength she has left to call upon the orb." She stepped off, the light the scarlet orb was emitting growing brighter. "We're on the right track."
"Does this mean we're gonna use it like a tracking device?" Prompto questioned.
Death smirked. "Exactly. Follow me, everyone."
Noctis, Prompto, Gladio, and Ignis followed Death through the halls of the lower level of Zegnautus Keep. She held up the orb, watching it closely whenever they turned a corner or passed a room. Whenever they stumbled across splitting paths, she would hold the orb up higher. She walked a little ways down each path to see the orb's reaction. The path she always chose was the one where the orb's light would intensify.
Eventually, Death led them into a large hangar-like room. She quickly pushed everyone behind a large pile of wooden crates when she smelt a foul odor. She noticed the orb's light vanished, it no longer being hot to the touch. She handed it back to Gladio, who put it back into his pocket.
Peering out from behind the crates, Death scanned the hangar. Her golden eyes bounced around until she saw a black puddle materialize in the middle of the hangar. Her eyes narrowed when the dullahan emerged from the inky substance. Its body was much larger and the armor it once adorned now was gone.
Gladio has also been peeking out from their hiding spot. He glared daggers at the grotesque monster. Raising his hand, he went to summon his greatsword. Death saw this and promptly stopped him. "Don't even think about it," she whispered.
"Why?" The brute growled. "We're here to kill it, aren't we? It's got its damn head with it. It'll be easy."
"I know you want to get War back, but running out there and attacking blindly is careless. You won't be risking not only our lives, but War's as well. She's inside that thing. If you swing wildly, you risk hurting her. In her current weakened state, heavy injuries to her body won't heal and she will die."
Prompto swallowed the lump in his throat. "(Y/n)'s inside that thing...?"
Gladio lowered his hand. He desperately wanted (Y/n) back safe and sound. "Fine. What's your plan?"
She was grateful he listened to her. "All right. Listen closely..."

Two Wolves and The Scaredy Bat
Geralt x Reader x Regis
Warnings: Fluff, some swearing, the reader are anxious, but that won't last long. The reader shreds their clothes at one point.
Words: 2086
----
Toussaint was so different from Skellige, so this experience is vastly different. So colorful, the sun and sky only bared bright and clear skies. The lack of bloodshed was also highly noted and highly appreciated. A month after you fell in love with two interesting folks, it felt as if you knew them for your whole life with only a week. And now you've been with them for 3 weeks. Geralt and Regis were very open, yet they didn't pry into your life. You did say you were from Skellige, plus a few stories that wouldn't reveal your dark secret. So the lack of prying was rather nice.
Later tonight was set for a date, a calm one at that. Just to sit in the woods, sit near the fire, and chat our hearts off. It was quite reasonable since you're rather new yet so it was a nice way to get to know each other. Plus, you were rather fond of simple dates, and Geralt full-heartedly agreed to that. Regis didn't seem to mind, however. Seemingly more expandable, and honestly that was rather comforting. Forever in your heart will love nature, but it's time to put a paw into civilization.
Typically, you would visit the two even if it was date night. For once you chose to stay in the woods. Transforming into your beastly form, not to hunt or kill, but to lie in the grass. To scratch your back on trees once again and with less worry of a random attack. No one knew what you were, what you are. A nice transition and again very much needed. No more useless bloodshed. Though spending most of the day in the woods meant you needed to bathe and get dressed beforehand. So that you did. Even using some of the lotion that Regis had given you, that sure was going to make the Vampire happy. You wore something nice, but nothing too fancy. A simple white button-up shirt and new Hunter's pants graced your form.
You found the two at their humble vineyard garden. A beautiful sight alone when the sun is high, but remarkably gorgeous when the sun sets. A view that only made your old heart flutter at your new boyfriends that waved for you.
"Long time no see", Geralt joked. Seemingly in a good mood, probably from Regis. Which caused a chuckle, once he gave one hell of a bear hug. "Missed you too, big guy."
Once Geralt put you down, Regis gave a much sweeter and a gentle hug, nevertheless still very welcoming. "It's great to see you again!", Regis greeted addictively warmly. "Hmm, I sense you used the lotion that I gave you."
"I have and am." You smiled, enjoying the hugs. Only to frown once Emiel pulled away. A soft laugh came from the vampire, though grabbing Geralt's than my own hand. Happily, we were guided into the woods. Enjoying a quiet walk with each other was rather nice. Soon setting up near where I was earlier that day. Oddly Regis seemed tense, though, did not mention why. Perhaps wanting to keep the date afloat. Quickly the night came, luckily we had everything set. Even though we didn't need the sun's light, but the two didn't know I didn't need it. Hence the fire, besides keeping Geralt and I warm. Geralt took out the drinks, alcohol, and passed everyone some since he was in the middle. The moon was simply a slit, no full moon thankfully. Much harder to control your transformation in the full moon. Though the sky was beautiful, much clearer than what you've usually seen.
"I've never seen the sky this beautiful before.", completely awestruck by the scene your boyfriends only smiled. Used to the starry sky by seeing it many times over.
"It is a nice night, if I may say so."
Geralt agreed, "It is nice. The skies are usually cloudy in Skellige. So I'm sure this is new to you.", The Witcher smiled at you. It warmed your heart that he knew quite a bit on Skellige. So you nod and smiled back. "It is, even on cloudless nights, it's never been this beautiful."
"Not as beautiful as you, my dear."
"You sly bastard. Thank you though"
Geralt snorted at your soft remark midway gulping down some booze. Almost choking, quickly recovering thankfully. Regis only shook his head, holding a smile as he sipped his drink.
"Not a problem. And Geralt, you too look very beautiful as well. Even chocking on alcohol. ", Regis jested though amused by Geralt's earlier snorting.
"Oh, hush", Geralt smirked before placing a quick kiss on his lips before giving you the same treatment. But the moment was interrupted by a twig being snapped suddenly, caused by an animal. Most likely a deer. But Regis' smooth demeanor changed by one of panic in a heartbeat.
"Werewolf!", Regis yelled, panic charged through him after hearing that snap. The scent of werewolf breezed through, which was created by you, was faint but it scared Regis so. But Geralt cruelly laughed, he knew they were safe here, otherwise, he wouldn't have laughed. And he hadn't seen Regis jump over, a werewolf for many, many years. No matter how hard he tried to scare Regis by thinking he was a werewolf which never worked. Especially when scents are remembered, Geralt's scent is something Emiel could never ever forget. For if he did, either he went insane or finally dead. However, through the panicking and Geralt snorting now, you grew rather nervous.
"Regis? A werewolf? Don't be silly.", now the fear of being no longer accepted haunts you, most likely mistaken for a fear of a werewolf as well. Regis took a deep breath through his nose, realizing his claws from his satchel strap. "Sorry, it was rather silly. My nerves flared up after catching an old scent. And I'm deathly afraid of werewolves."
"A vampire that's afraid of werewolves? Never heard of that before." Geralt jests but comforts Regis by wrapping an arm to his side. "We'll be fine. I promise I'll look around, here again, tomorrow. It is odd to see, or smell a werewolf in Toussaint."
Regis nodded, "It is and I'm not willing to see it.", singling the date was over once he left in a hurry. You and Geralt joined once the fire was put out. Though far behind now.
"Geralt, do you think all werewolves are bad?"
"Not all, I managed to help release curses from all that I can. That and they are difficult opponents to fight."
You only gave a nod. But gave a smile when he gave you a curious look, "I should go home before a big bad wolf gets me. And I'm sure Regis needs comfort."
Geralt didn't laugh at your wolf joke. It was concerning to him. Worried that the date went bad or you're scared of werewolves like Regis or even feeling left out somehow. "You sure you don't want to join us at my place? You can stay since your home is quite far away."
"I'm sure Geralt. Thank you for offering though.", you have his cheek a kiss before running off before he could protest or offer to take you home. No doubt Geralt has good intent, a real sweetheart even. But Regis's fear made you incredibly nervous. Distant and pained even. Can't blame his fear, however, werewolves are terrifying even to other werewolves. Most can't control themselves and even learning that control takes many, many years to perfect. Seemingly it's easier for non-cursed werewolves, ones that have been birthed through a werewolf parent. Which are almost rare on its own. Vincent, you believed was birthed, but words would always change a bit after being passed, and well Vincent was rather a popular talk amongst other werewolves. However, that's what you are, a birthed and non-curable werewolf. Something Regis no doubly feared. You sighed at your thoughts as you travel back into your house. Rather easy, to see in the dark, even when the moon has been just a slit. For some reason and you knew that your senses are sharper as a human yet not as sharp when you're in your beastly form. You thought it was odd, but yet you're from a long line of natural werewolves so maybe it's normal.
After a while, thoughts collecting, swirling, and twirling with anxiety and thoughts of your kind. Busying yourself, you reached your home. Actually tripping in your own yard. You stayed on the ground sighing, soon sitting up. Looking up. It was still a beautiful night. You suppose that the darkest time is yet to come, on the day of tomorrow. Better grab some rest, then, as you went back into your cabin.
New day, a restart in fresh air and light. Shame that marks of fear drowns the grace of nature. You travel to your boyfriend's house, greeted by Geralt. The Witcher was in his gear, most likely ready to look for that werewolf that made that stale scent.
"Hey (Y/N), sorry I'm not going to be able to talk for long. Regis is in the lab."
"Would it be okay if I joined you?"
"No, it's too dangerous for you."
"Please?"
"No, it's too much of a risk for you."
"Geralt please-", you sighed, "At least let me show you something at least." Grabbing his hand and dragging him to the woods before he could protest, you two were finally alone. Geralt huffed but stood with his arms crossed. "What did you want to show me?"
"Geralt.. I'm the werewolf."
"Really?"
"I was the werewolf that caused that scent. I can show you.", with that you walked away, giving yourself room for the transformation. Quickly, your monstrous form took shape. Geralt for once feared if you'd attack only because you looked much stronger than normal werewolves. Not only that, but you were rather huge, unbeknownst to him that you're rather older than he thought. Your fur was beautiful obsidian black, sleek and lustrous. Your eyes haven't changed, no pure instinct clouding your beautiful, calculated orbs. "I won't... attack." Or rasped hoarsely.
Geralt relaxed, releasing the grip of his silver sword. "You're a child of a werewolf, aren't you?." Simply you gave a nod, speaking was rather difficult in this form. You whine, scared even when you rest your head against Geralt.
"Are you in pain?", Geralt worried, yet petting your smooth fur. "No... What will.. Reegis thinhk.", words slurred but still able to be processed.
"I think no matter what, he'd love you still."
If you could smile you would. Tears would threaten to spill if you were in your human form. Rather hard to express some emotions in this form so you took it through a rather gentle hug. "Thannks. Geralt."
You moved away from Geralt, shocked to see Regis frozen, mouth agape. You were shocked, but not as shocked as he was, most likely hearing. No seeing everything, most likely wanting to tell his Witcher to be safe.
"Regis..."
"Is it truly you, (Y/N)? A werewolf?"
You nod, nervous, swallowing thickly. Geralt waved Regis over, and the vampire came. "I still love her, Regis."
Regis gave a nod, carefully gliding his hands to the sides of your head. "As do I. Never thought you were a werewolf. I'm sorry about my anxieties. I had a very bad experience with a werewolf when I was just a lad. However, it's not your fault." You shift, changing back to your human form. Instantly you grabbed Regis in a tight hug, those tears you were holding back came out. Geralt soon joins the hug pile, pick the both of you up slightly. "I love you two so much.. Sorry for not telling you both sooner."
"It's fine, we forgive you." Regis soon agrees, "That we do." With that, Geralt returns everyone back down on the ground. Soon noticing the tattered clothes on your frame. Barely hanging onto your body. "Oh my, I'm sure we can lend you some of our clothes", Regis kept his eyes on your face. "That would be appreciated.", you chuckled nervously.
You two quickly returned to the vineyard home. Stealing some of Geralt's clothes. Returning to the boys, only to be thrown on the bed for some cuddles. Your worry and anxiety are all gone as both of their arms wrapped around you. Peppered with nothing but love.
"I love you guys."
"Love you too."
"I love you as well."

Hi :) I loved your gladnis x reader fic... Was wondering if you could do a fic with all four of the Chocobros x reader? Like an OT4+1? Like the boys were already discreetly in a relationship and s/o was their best friend who felt like she was imposing. The boys all loved s/o so they decided to slowly show their love and affection (taking her on little dates, hanging out, and spending time together) before asking for her love in return? I think it would be adorable (^^)
This one was really hard to start, but once I got going it flowed pretty easily. Sorry, btw, I’m back on my dreams of owning a motorcycle, again.

Five of Hearts
You were good friends with the Bros, “your boys”, as you called them. You’d known Noctis the longest, having met when your family began serving King Regis. The two of you became fast friends. From there you got to become friends with Ignis, Gladio, and finally Prompto. You enjoyed each friendship individually, but together the five of you were a whole new level of wonderful.
You helped the men get ready and leave Insomnia for Noct’s trip. There had been an offer to bring you along, but you joked that the car was too crowded. You got a hug from each of them as they got ready to leave, before Prompto jumped on your back and yelled, “GROUP HUG!” Everyone laughed as you were embraced by four of the greatest people in your life.
It was that memory that got you through the next few weeks. Pain from missing your best friends was only outdone by the pain of losing your entire city in one night. Everything was gone. Your King was murdered, your home razed. Daemons wandered the streets you grew up on. You weren’t even sure if anyone you loved had escaped.
You almost didn’t make it out of the city. You were one of the last ones to leave because you were trying to save everyone you could. The refugee district didn’t have any other heros, you were their only hope for protection as they fled. You were still in the middle of the city with no options to get past the daemons on each corner, when all six gods must have smiled upon you: you discovered a motorcycle with the keys still in it! It even started for you! You sent up a prayer as the nimble vehicle was able to get you past daemons and wreckage as you left the gates of Insomnia.
You rode as far as the bike would take you. Somehow, that was all the way to Hammerhead. You handed it off to Cindy, hoping she could help you fix it. You were sort of attached to the impractical thing as it had gotten you out of Insomnia. Now, it was all you had left of your home. Cindy saw the exhaustion apparent on your face and sent you off to the diner for some food.
Inside, you were met with a full house of refugees. One group recognized you and made room at their table. You were thankful for somewhere to simply sit.
The radio was broadcasting news about the event, but the service kept breaking up. “Prince…is thought…” was all you heard. Noct and the boys! You thought, grabbing at your pocket for your phone. Your fingers touched broken glass. What you pulled out was a phone with a shattered screen that was falling off. Falling to the ground was your only hope at hearing from the guys. You couldn’t take much more of this, so you stormed from the diner to get some air and cry alone.
Rain started to fall with your tears. You looked off in the distance to see smoke still rising from the ruins of Insomnia. All you wanted was to shout, to throw things, to cry, to collapse all at the same time. The cold rain soaked you, making you shiver. Your mind wandered back to that amazing group hug.
Where were the guys? Where they ok? Had they made it to Altissa?
All you wanted was to hear their voices.
A kind old woman came out of the caravan and offered you a place in the warmth. You allowed her to take you inside, falling asleep when you sat down.
The next day you woke early and slowly rose, primarily because your back hurt from sleeping so oddly. Outside, you stood out in the cold desert morning, a light fog clinging to the ground from the rain. Cindy saw you and called you over, showing you the now operational motorcycle.
As you learned all about motorbikes form Cindy, you heard footsteps approached from behind the shop. Who could be approaching from back there, you wondered. You readied yourself, expecting the worst.
“…[Y/N]?” The great man almost whispered as he saw you. Gladio had rounded the corner of the shop. He was shirtless, dirty, and battered, but he was there.
“GLADIO!” You screamed, your heart racing you into his arms. You collided with him, barely even moving him. He wrapped his strong arms around you tightly.
More footsteps. You looked up to see the rest of your boys running towards you. They were all battered and dirty, but you had never seen a more beautiful sight.
“[Y/N]!!” Prompto cried, eyes watering, as he latched onto your body, not caring that Gladio still held you.
Noctis was next, he latched onto you, burying his face into the hug. “It’s so good to see you…”
Ignis was beaming at you as he embraced your little glomping, his long arms wrapping up everything like a bow.
The five of you stayed like that for as long as you could. You loved every moment of it, as you were safe, warm, and ever so loved in the arms of all you had ever wanted.
Eventually, you did break apart, but none of them ever stood far from you.
“What happened? We’ve been trying to call you?” Ignis began, the first to need answers.
You simply pulled what remained of your phone from your pocket. Gladio hummed in acknowledgement.
Prompto flinched at the sight of the device. “How’d that happen?!”
“Daemons, MTs, motorcycle ride…who knows?” You answered.
“At the same time?!” Prompto looked at you like he was meeting a childhood hero. You could simply laugh, but he wasn’t far from the truth.
“I’m just glad you’re safe,” Noctis added, coming up beside you.
You smiled, looking around at them.
You all ate at the diner, talking about what had occurred. Ignis was most impressed by your motorcycle idea for getting out of the city.
“Now what’re you gonna do?” Prompto asked between mouthfuls.
The idea hadn’t occurred to you.
The men looked at each other before sharing a smile. “Well, then. It sounds like you’re coming with us!” Noctis said definitively.
You set out for the guys’ campsite soon after breakfast. They had set up just behind Hammerhead, having arrived late in the night.
You bought your own camping supplies, primarily a small tent and a sleeping bag, so that you wouldn’t intrude on the guys. Gladio joked how it would be warmer if you slept with them, making you blush.
In the mornings, you finally had a reason to get out of bed, again. You loved to help Ignis with breakfast and train with Gladio.
Having slept in one morning, you emerged to see Gladio and Ignis kissing. Blushing furiously, you ducked back into your little tent. It wasn’t that you didn’t approve, you thought the guys would be fantastic together! But you felt like you had just seen a very intimate moment that you shouldn’t have.
“You’re up late.” Gladio said, as you still sat blushing. Oh gods, he saw me, you thought. You emerged, still blushing, to see Gladio laughing and Ignis blushing, as well.
A similar situation happened in Lestallum. You were flipping through Prompto’s pictures when you found one of him and Noctis kissing. You turned fiery red. Prompto saw the photo over your shoulder, as you stared at it, and snatched the camera away. He whistled as he walked away with it.
You were happy that the guys were all happy. They were great together! But it was extremely hard to handle being the only single person around a bunch of guys who were dating each other…
Time went on, the five of you camping around Eos together. But the boys were concocting a plan for you.
You were maintaining your bike at the campsite, having settled early in the day so that Noctis could go fishing, when Ignis approached you.
“I’ve been wondering…isn’t it rather hard to enjoy the view when you’re always riding?” He asked, pointing at your bike.
“Sure…but you get a different type of view.”
“And your hair never gets to experience the sensation of the wind under that helmet!” He added.
You raised an eyebrow at your friend. “Do you want to ride the bike, Iggy?” You teased.
“No, rather I want you come on a drive with me.” He promptly replied. He had such determination in his voice, he must have been preparing this.
You were taken aback, not knowing the guys to ever keep plans from you.
“Besides, we need groceries.” Ignis winked, already getting into the driver’s seat of the Regalia. You hopped into the passenger seat beside him.
The drive was more exhilarating than you expected. Ignis made a path along the coast with the top of the car down, pop music playing on the radio. For you, he pushed the Regalia, going well above his normal speed. You stretched your arms over your head and let your hair flow in the wind. A cry of joy escaped your lips into the salty air.
You covered your mouth, embarrassed, but Ignis just looked over at you laughing. His smile was brighter than even the sun.
You kept your little escapade to yourselves, not wanting to upset Gladio.
Soon after, you moved camp inland to the Chocobo Farm. Prompto was over the moon and his joy was infectious.
Ignis was starting dinner for the night, when Prom approached you. “Psst, hey!” He came up beside you like the two of you weren’t talking. “Wanna embark on a secret mission with me?” His eyebrows danced on his forehead. You couldn’t help but laugh.
“Sure, Prom, what’s up?”
“Let’s go see the baby chocobos!! They’re only like, a week old!” He was bouncing and pumping his arms he was so excited.
Wanting to catch a glimpse of the babies, too, you agreed. They were going to be so cute!
The two of you snuck into a barn on the farm. It was filled with fully grown mama chocobos and their new chicks.
Prompto was a red mess sputtering gibberish at the sight. You weren’t much better.
Quietly, you approached one adult. “Hey, mama, mind if we we see your baby?” You asked, as you were far more coherent than Prompto. She seemed to understand you as she raised a wing to reveal four yellow puffballs under her.
Prompto crept closer. He looked the adult in the eyes, gulping. “May I…May I touch one?” The bird bowed her head and didn’t move as Prompto picked up a small chick. You followed suit, the yellow puff being the softest thing your hands had ever felt.
You had to feel the soft tuft on your face. You held it up to your cheek and the chick sneezed and shook. You and Prompto were so taken by the cuteness of the moment that only sounds could be made.
The two of you sat there, cooing and petting the small birds. Soon, their siblings awoke. Missing out on the attention, they chirped and bounced over to your laps. You looked up to each other to see the utter joy and excitement painted on the other’s face.
But your evening was truly made when, while you were cuddling her chicks, mama chocobo got up, waddled over, and laid down to cuddle at your backs. Snuggled in your own fluffy nest, you and Prompto giggled as you cuddled the adorable family.
A few days later, you were back on the coast. You had set up camp along the rocks at the bottom of a steep cliff, making sleeping difficult.
Walking out of your tent late at night, you found you were not the only one up. Noctis sat on a small dock by himself, wrapped in a blanket.
“Can’t sleep?” you asked, coming up next to him.
“Naw, you too?” He replied.
You nodded, staring in the same direction as him. The two of you stood there, admiring the ocean for awhile.
“Wanna fish?” He whispered to you. You burst out laughing, leave it to Noct to think about fishing in a quiet moment. He was smiling at you, knowing how ridiculous he sounded.
“C’mon! I’ve never gotten you to fish before!” He added, fake indigency tinged his voice.
“No, because fish freak me out!” You retorted.
“Just try it! I’ll handle the fish for you! You handle the line!” He had already summoned his fishing pole.
Having nothing better to do, you agreed.
He stood behind you, teaching you how to cast, and pulled with you when a fish bit and you had to reel it in. His body was warm and his teaching was soothing. He was patient with you and gentle. The experience made you blush.
A cold wind blew off the ocean to remedy the heat in your cheeks, though. You shivered, the fishing pole still in your hands. Suddenly, you felt Noctis over your back. “Wha?!”
“You’re cold, but I’m cold, too. This way, the blanket keeps me warm and I keep you warm.” His logic was…present. You laughed as the two of you cuddled on the dock that night.
Days past. Your spirits took a dive as you started the search for lost hunters. Ever dog tag you found hit close to home. It was someone who wouldn’t get to see their family again, someone who wouldn’t see the future.
The guys took notice of how much it hit you, but Gladio decided to do something about it.
You were back at your campsite outside Hammerhead. The Regalia had taken some hits from daemons and needed repairs.
You were up late, just chatting and telling jokes with Gladio as the other men had gone to sleep.
“Hey, wanna get some food?” He asked suddenly. You expected him to pull out some cup noodles, but instead he got up.
“Where are you going?” You asked, confused.
“Taka’s. He’s still up.” You looked where Gladio was pointing, seeing Hammerhead still lit up.
The two of you made your way to the outpost, fighting few daemons along the way. Music and laughter met you upon your journey.
You entered the barriers and heard people celebrating inside Cindy’s shop.
“What’s going on?” You asked, hoping Gladio knew.
“I dunno. Let’s see.” He replied walking around to the front.
The garage door was open. String lights covered the tall ceiling of the shop. Refugees and Hammerhead citizens were dancing to music, eating, and singing inside. It was a full celebration.
Many cheered when they saw you, pulling you into the party. It turned out it was a child’s birthday, today. The refugees decided to have a full celebration to bring joy back into everyone’s lives.
You escaped some of the partying to breathe outside. Gladio met you. “Having fun?” He asked, smiling at you.
“You knew about this, didn’t you?” You smiled at the sly man. He just smiled back.
Gladio turned to look at all of the people in the garage. “This is because of you, you know.”
“You helped to save every one of these people. What you did in the city wasn’t for nothing.” You turned to share his gaze. “Sure, sometimes we lose people, but sometimes… we don’t.” His kind smile warmed every part of your soul.
“Thank you…” you said to him. He just pushed you back into the party.
You truly loved your men, every one of them. You were so happy that they were happy, but part of you wished for more time with each one.
You were all eating dinner one night, Ignis was trying to get Noctis to eat his vegetables, again. It was a great game, but Ignis was determined to win this match.
You watched as the tactician flew over the table towards Noctis. Before Noctis could react, Ignis took hold of his shirt, his other hand holding a fork full of veggies. Iggy’s face moved closer to Noct’s until they were practically touching.
“Vegetables or nothing,” he growled to Noctis.
“Fine.” Noctis’s lips parted and the fork slid in.
You were furiously blushing at the whole experience. Blinking, you realized the others were seeing this same scene. They had to be reacting!
Looking around, you saw that they…were laughing. You felt planted in your seat, blushing.
The guys continued their dinner like nothing happened. “Er…guys?” You asked. You were so confused.
“What’s up?” Prompto asked.
“Not to be nosey…but…I’m confused…who’s dating who?” You stammered.
All of them looked at you, stunned. “Oh, we all are.” Ignis answered.
Wait…what? How? That’s a thing? You supposed that would be a thing. It made sense, but you hadn’t known!
“Ohhh…” is all you could say. A thought left your mouth as it formed: “Am I…interfering?”
“NO!” They all said at once!
You felt your body involuntarily push backwards.
Noctis started softly laughing. “You know, we were actually wondering what you think about it.”
“What I think about it?” You asked, not knowing why that mattered.
“Yeah! You’re so great!” Prompto added. You sat there, still trying to comprehend what was being said.
“Do you really think we didn’t know about all of those dates?” Ignis asked with a sly smile.
Oh…OH!
“So, what do ya say?” Gladio added, raising an eyebrow.
“Me?” Is all you could think to say.
“Yes, you. We all love you, [Y/N].” Noctis moved beside you, taking your hands in his.
“All of you…” Sure, you loved all of them, but it seemed way more logical for one to love four rather than four to love one.
“All of us.” Ignis added, coming around the table to you.
“Wanna be our girlfriend?” Prompto added.
Your mind had to wrap around this idea. You felt so right with each of them, and together you felt like the world was right. Everything worked so well between all of you.
If it works, who am I to argue? You thought.
“I’d love to.” You concluded, smiling.
Gladio wrapped his arms around you from behind, Prompto kissed your cheek, Noctis hugged you, and Ignis kissed your hand all at the same time.
It wasn’t four for one. This was five people deeply loving five people.

“I will find you”
Shiro x reader
A/N: Woah, who’s this chick? That’s right, after many weeks, I’m releasing something I’ve been working on for about a month now. I hope y'all like it, and hopefully there are more things like this in the near future. Also, VOLTRON SEASON 8 IS GOING TO DROP TOMORROW! WOAHHH
Word Count: 3756
Gender neutral
Warnings: death of close friends, mentions of blood
“We’re stuck in the gravitational pull,” Captain Murdoch summarized, turning around to look up from his computer screen at Regis and I. Tears waited to fall at the brim of his eyes. “I don’t know what will happen or what’s on the other side of it, but we have a decision to make.”
When I left on a mission two years ago, I didn’t think I would end up dying. We were supposed to be collecting data on a planet that could be used as a human colony. The play was this: two years to journey there, one to collect data on planet, and two for the return trip. When I got back, I’d planned on marrying my boyfriend, Shiro, who would be coming back from a mission of his own at around the same time. We hadn’t even made it to the planet before we got stuck.
Next to me, Arianna Regis huffed. She was our mechanic and several years older than Murdoch and I, and always seemed to be grumpy. Luckily Murdoch and I were cheery enough to combat her negativity. “What other options do we have? We’re going to die. No use trying to delay the inevitable.” She crossed her arms and stared Murdoch down.
The captain shook his head and gestured to the computer screen behind him. It had a different flight plan and stats than we were used to seeing all the time. “Not necessarily. We could try and use the amount of fuel it would have taken to get to Ardexian-” the planet we were were checking out, “-and try to pull out and head back home, as well as expel extra supplies, making it easier to escape.” Turned and touched the screen with his fingernail to trace the updated flight pattern. “Or we could allow ourselves to be sucked in and possibly die.”
“So we can either die having done nothing, or die trying,” Regis commented. “Gee.”
“No. It’s more like... we can either most likely die putting up a fight, die not trying, or live after fighting.” Two of those options sounded terrible and one sounded slightly better that then others. I looked outside. The glowing blue blob in space, while it would have made an excellent and beautiful aesthetic wallpaper for my phone, terrified me. It would probably be the cause of our demise, but I wanted a chance at escaping it. I wanted a chance at marrying my boyfriend, the love of my life.
“This is ridiculous,” muttered Regis. “We’re going to die, there is no question about it. I say we just speed up the process and crash into this... thing...” She messed with the hem of her shirt and glared out the window.
Murdoch gave her a steely look. “No, we aren’t going to do that,” he sighed, then inhaled deeply. “I’m suggesting we try and escape. Now whether or not we actually do that is up to you two.”
“You know where I stand,” Regis announced. She stood up and stretched her arms over her head. “I’m going to sleep. Let me know what we’re doing.” Then she stalked off to the back of the ship where our individual tiny quarters were, taking the negative air with her.
Murdoch and I simultaneously released a relieved breath. I stood straighter and moved closer to one of the windows. I leaned my head against the thick glass. The decision seemed simple to me. If I were to die, I’d want to die knowing I’d done my best to escape. Getting out was a possible bonus, like attempting the extra credit on a math test, where you know you’re probably not going to get it right but just in case you do, it’ll help you and save your grade.
The captain relaxed in his chair, slumping forward. “What do you want to do?” He was so casual in his approach that it almost felt like he was trying too hard.
“We try and get out. If it doesn’t work... maybe there’s something on the other side.”
And something on the other side there was. They’d tried to escape the gravitational pull but couldn’t, and for days they floated through space, aware of their impending doom. They entered the glowing blue thing without even realizing it was happening. Suddenly out monitors turned all fuzzy and all of our machinery made weird noises. Just about everything shut down. It took Regis almost a week to get everything up and running properly again, but we couldn’t figure out what our location was. The blue light gone, and with nothing else do to, we put our sensors on the highest setting and continued on in hopes of finding some sort of planet we could survive on.
We drifted for about a year. One tense year. Regis was constantly in a mood worse than before, having lost hope in ever seeing her family again. The captain, though he tried not to show it, was losing hope as well. He had to keep up a brave face. Every waking moment was spent in front of his computer, staring, watching for any sign of a planet that we could inhabit. As for me, I tried to stay upbeat. My job, as a communications officer, was to stay in contact with the garrison and be on the lookout for aliens and try to be on good terms with them. Since passing through that weird blue thing, which wed established as some sort of portal, my lines had been dead and I couldn’t make contact with the garrison at all. So basically I had nothing to do all day for a solid year. It took all I had not to go crazy, so I ended up creating random tasks for myself, such as creating an entirely new language. I taught it to Regis and Murdoch, and we sometimes used it to communicate.
Then we stumbled upon a giant ship. We received no replies to my messages, and it wasn’t moving. Common sense told us that there was something bad in there and if we went in, searching for supplies, we were dead; common sense also told us that if we didn’t take this chance, we could be dead anyways. Who knew we would become scavengers?
Despite all the dead bodies around, we kind of liked being on this ship. There was a lot of food, oxygen, and softer beds. After a little debating, we decided that we would stash our ship in one of the holding bays and keep it ready, just in case we had to escape suddenly. In order to make the ship seem undisturbed, we only lived in a few of the rooms tucked away in the corner by the kitchen. Whatever alien species lived there kept a very orderly ship. I took it upon myself to learn the language so that I could translate should the need arise, and also so that I could help maneuver around the ship.
We stayed there for months. During that time we met Sven-who I thought was Shiro, for a short time-and Slav. Regis didn’t like either of them very much, but Murdoch and I were both grateful to have someone new to talk to, someone less depressing than Regis. Slav was crazy but insanely smart. Murdoch really liked him. After I determined the difference between Shiro and Sven we became great friends. Our friendship reminded me of my own pre-relationship friendship with Shiro, but I still had hope we would get back to Earth; there was no way I was going to pursue a relationship with him. I wanted to marry Shiro, not his lookalike.
A day of action came when I was tired. I’d slept terribly the night before, kept awake by dreams of my wedding day, one of which included Sven.
My bedroom door opened and Murdoch poked his head into my room to see if I was awake, which I was, and had been for hours, so I just looked at him out of the corner of my eyes. “Y/N, you need to come check this out,” he said. “The scanners started going crazy, but we don’t know what they’re saying.” Even though I doubted I would be able to translate for them, as I was only able to recognize a few words, I got up. My pajamas were rumpled and I was completely unaware that I would soon be seeing the faces of people I hadn’t seen in a very long time.
“I think we should get back into hiding,” I muttered as I brushed past him. “It’s probably someone coming to see what’s going on. We need to get out of the way so they don’t find us.” I made my way to what I called “the command center” but it was really just a couple of computers I’d moved early on.
“No. Not until we find out who’s here.” He caught up to me easily. “If they’re just pirates, we can scare them away. We’ve done it before.”
Soon we heard voices. They spoke English and sounded younger. Regis stalked them quietly for a while, and finally we determined them to be trustworthy. Somehow people from Earth had stumbled upon this same ship, and we wanted to stay with them.
“Maybe they can help us get home,” Regis reasoned when she reported to us. Suddenly given a spark of hope, she was willing to do anything to help us get out of here.
I was super ready to get out of this alien ship. It smelled weird, and... I thought the skeletons might have been watching me... their creepy heads inside their helmets sometimes seemed to turn when I walked by.
The next thing I knew, Regis’ screams echoed through the hall. She’d gone back out to continue following the group, who weren’t human but didn’t seem all that dangerous. Murdoch and I froze. My body turned cold, and suddenly Murdoch was shoving me inside a hollowed out computer system. He told me to be quiet. I thought he was finding a place to hide too, but then I heard him get shot and a loud metallic thud.
I shrunk pack further into my hiding spot and covered my mouth with my hands. I wanted to scream and cry. Captain Murdoch was dead, and so was Arianna Regis, and I had nowhere to bury them.
The intruders ransacked the place, destroying all of my equipment. The steady beeping that once filled the room because of my scanners stopped. I was left alone.
I stayed in my hiding place for a long time. I slept four times before I finally worked up the courage to leave. My body was incredibly stiff. As I emerged and stretched, I kept my eyes on the ceiling. Murdoch’s body was probably on the floor, and judging from the lack of that distinct smell of iron, there was no blood, so I forced myself to look. Two years spent with this man, supporting him and being supported by him, having really deep conversations with him, and growing to genuinely love him as a friend... I felt robbed of an experience and a friendship I could have had for the rest of my life. There were scorch marks on the cloth over his heart. He didn’t suffer, which was a relief.
For five minutes I sat by the door just listening and staring at Murdoch’s body. Those... pirates had robbed me of more than just my equipment. They’d stolen my best friends. If I ever found them, I would kill them.
For days I stumbled around, gathering supplies. I’d never leave my control room if I didn’t need to. The only time I left was to shove Murdoch and Regis’ bodies out of an airlock and send them into space. If they couldn’t be buried, I knew that that was how they would have wanted to be dealt with. They both had a love for the stars.
Slav and Sven came back again, this time bringing company. When they found me, they had been running and I could tell they were in danger. They needed a place to hide for a few minutes and I could give them that.
When I realized who one of the people in the large group was, I burst into tears. “Keith!” I cried, and latched onto him.
“Y/N?” He wrapped his arms stiffly around my shoulders and pat my back. “What are you doing here?”
I pulled way from him and sniffled. “I uh... my team... we got trapped in this gravitational pull and ended up here, wherever here is.”
“It’s an alternate universe,” said one of his friends, dressed in white and green armor. I noticed then that all of Keith’d friends had matching armor. I recognized her as Matt’s sister. He’d shown me a picture of he and his sister together while telling me a story about her. I think her name was Katie, but Matt always referred to her as “Pidge.”
“Wow, really?” I put my hand on top of my head.
“Where’s the rest of your team?”
My silence seemed enough of an answer for Keith. He quickly went around, introducing his friends and explaining what he was doing out in space. “We’re the Paladins of Voltron,” he finished, “and if you want, you can come with us.”
I agreed, and after some adventuring and an adrenaline rush, I was safe in this weird castle. Allura, whom I became close friends with, helped teach me the language I’d been trying to teach myself. Lance, Hunk, and Pidge were all teens that I had met at one point or another. I remember them always being together on campus, and they reminded me of my own team. Seeing them together warmed my heart and made me incredibly sad at the same time.
When walking back to our rooms one night with the rest of the paladins, I noticed that there was a door between my room and the last one, Lance. “Whose room is this?”
Lance looked at me with wide eyes. His eyes flickered back and forth rapidly between me and the door in question. “It’s uh... it’s Shiro’s.”
“Shiro,” I repeated shortly, my lips turing down. “As in Takashi Shirogane, my Fiancé.” I rolled my eyes and put my hands on my hips. “Why wasn't I told about him? Where is he?”
“He’s been missing.”
Missing?
No no, that can’t be. After everything I’d been through, with my teammates dying and being lost in space for who knows how long, I thought that if I were to be rescued I would have some peace, but peace would not find me just yet. It wasn’t my time. As soon as I find Shiro, I’m dragging him back home and neither of us are leaving Earth ever again.
“Y/N, I’m trying my best to find him,” Keith told me softly, “and I could use all the help I can get.”
Of course I’d help him. Shiro was my person and there was no way I would just let him go. I told Keith as such and he led me to a room where I could stay. He told me to sleep and that I could begin to help him once I was well rested.
Finding Shiro was more difficult than I thought. Before I left on my mission, I thought I understood just how big space is. Soon after my mind was blown when I realized that there was truly nothing out there for more than I could possibly imagine, and again I thought I understood just how big space is. Finding Shiro proved me wrong. I went out with Keith in his black lion all the time, constantly checking various places and taking over different alien-sorry, Galran-ships in hopes of finding him blew my mind once again. I soon came to the conclusion I would never understand just how big the universe is. “Never get too comfortable with how much you know,” I told myself almost every day, “because when you do you stop learning.”
I was hardly comfortable when searching for knowledge on Shiro’s whereabouts. He had to be somewhere. My heart always felt a strange tug, like I knew he was alive somewhere, and I think Keith felt something similar. Our constant, subtle tugging is what kept us going. Even though the others didn’t say anything, I knew they were giving up. They didn’t feel the tug like we did.
Confident we’d find Shiro in time, I urged Keith to relax a little. “He’s not going to be found any sooner if you run yourself ragged. If anything, you’re only preventing yourself from finding him.”
Bitter that I was “less serious about finding Shiro” than he was, he muttered, “At least I’m looking,” but in a much longer, less friendly statement.
“Listen bud, you’ve got two choices,” I told him soon after that interaction. He was sitting at the kitchen, awkwardly avoiding eye contact with me while he ate breakfast. “You can either accept the little bit that I’m doing to help, or you can push me away like you have everyone else in this castle. I’ve known you since you were a kid. I really want to help, but I can’t do that if you don’t let me.”
Keith’s eyes then flickered and met mine. After offering him a small smile, he nodded and muttered an apology.
The kid may be a brat sometimes, but he was very stressed.
The next day I woke up with an urgent anxiety settled over my chest. I needed to do something as soon as possible, so I woke up Keith. “We have to go. Now.”
“What?” He pushed himself up onto his elbows, staring at me with bleary eyes. “What’s going on, Y/N?”
“I don’t know, I just have a weird feeling.”
Keith got dressed, I grabbed some food from the kitchen to take with us and eat on the go, and we met at the Black Lion.
We were out for a long time. Keith was a little annoyed with me because we weren’t going anywhere in particular but he understood that I was antsy. He had days like those, too, after all, but I knew what that feeling was, and this wasn’t it. I don’t know how to explain what I felt, really, other than that feeling when you’re running really late for an appointment so you’re going way above the speed limit when driving but knowing that it won’t get you there in time.
Suddenly, the Black Lion stopped and turned. It threw me off my feet and I hit my head on the ground. The roar it let out seconds later added to my pain.
“What’s wrong?” he asked the lion, gripping the controls a little tighter. A scanner popped up and began to pulse.
“It’s Shiro,” I whispered.
“We found him,” Keith agreed.
I started to dance on my feet with a huge smile. “Keith! We found him!” I leaned over his seat and wrapped my arms around his shoulders. After giving him a few shakes and squeezes, we laughed, feeling the huge weight be lifted from our shoulders. That relief was so sweet, something I hadn’t felt in years.
“He’s too far away for us to go now.” I had yet to learn Altean completely, so I had no clue what his screen said. “We need the castle.” Why we needed the castle I would soon learn. It could travel through space a lot faster than any of the lions could. Within a couple of hours, Shiro’s ship was in our sights.
Once the Black Lion was close enough to Shiro’s ship, I scrambled to put an extra space suit on and together Keith and I jetted to the Galran ship. Shiro, with movements sluggish and weak, managed to press a few buttons to open it and we took him back to the lion. I sat with him, hugging his bicep and rubbing his back as he took long, deep breaths.
“How did you get here?” he rasped, looking at me with a soft expression. He was a little dazed because of his previous lack of oxygen, but he seemed to be doing better now.
I shook my head. That story was too long to tell now, while he was barely conscious. “I’ll tell you later, my love.” I pressed a kiss to his scruffy cheek and brushed his long stringy hair out of his eyes. A decent hair washing and haircut were definitely in his near future.
It was then that I noticed the glint of metal on his other arm. I would ask later.
“I’m ready to take a nap,” Shiro said and laughed breathily.
“Me too.” After a few moments of silence, Ketih landed the lion back in the castle. I helped Shiro stand up. Walking down the ramp was a struggle for him. He was so weak shaky, I was afraid that he would fall down. Luckily he managed to stay upright. He nodded and said hello to each of the Paladins, and we took him to shower and get cleaned up. Keith helped with that, me being too dazed to be of any use. Shiro emerged wearing clean clothes and sporting a new haircut. I helped him to his room.
“Stay,” he murmured when I helped him lay down. Of course I would stay. In fact, I would never leave his side again.
Shiro insisted on hearing my story before he went to sleep, so I recounted my journey to him: being stuck in another universe, my teammates dying, meeting Slav and Sven, being found by Keith and going back with him, finding out he was missing... I described to him how I felt while trying to find him. I told him about the tug I felt in my heart and how I knew he was alive through that. “And then today, I felt so anxious, I think I knew I needed to find you as soon as possible. It’s like my soul knew you were in trouble. And... in finding you, I think that... in whatever universe, my soul will find you.”
Shiro smiled and kissed me softly. Soon we were asleep, comfortable in each other’s arms. I was so relieved that the weight on my chest was gone. I had survived, I’d found Shiro, and even though my teammates were dead, I wouldn’t have this ending any other way.

'BLIND DATE'
Tumblr media
gif belongs to me
You had been friends with Wes a long time, and when he met the Time Force Rangers, he recruited you to help keep their identities a secret.
From the moment he saw you, stammering a greeting, it was obvious Trip thought you were beautiful. And although as weeks became months, the longer they stayed in your time, Trip gained the confidence to utter a sentence in your presence without stammering, his feelings were still clear as day from the way he gazed at you.
When you had gone on a date with a guy from work, Trip was devasted despite Wesley reassuring him that you were only dating him to appease your parents who wanted to close a deal that would make them a lot of money. This did little to ease Trip's mind as he reasoned that you could really like the guy.
But when Wesley spoke to you the next day he knew the date had gone terribly.
"He was so obnoxious it was infuriating." You sighed. "I just wish I could meet one guy without an ego. Who is nice, you know?"
Wesley wanted to tell you about Trip in that moment but he knew you were too oblivious to believe him. So he started planning a way to get you both together and Katie was eager to help him.
You looked around the restaurant, glancing at your watch. Wesley had told you to be at the restaurant for lunch at one o'clock. He was thirty minutes late.
You decided to wait ten minutes before leaving.
Trip looked around the restaurant for the group, surprised to see you sitting alone. He wondered if you were on another date, looking away before you could recognize him, but you could pick him out from a large crowd.
"Trip!"
He walked over and you sent him a smile as you gestured for him to sit across from you. "What are you doing here?"
"Wesley told me to meet here for lunch." He explained.
You thought for a minute. "He told me the exact same thing."
"Really?" He asked.
"I don't think Wes is coming." You told him.
Trip came to the same realization you did. This was a setup.
"I'm really sorry about all of this." You sighed. "I told Wesley about my date being a disaster."
"What happened?" He asked curiously.
"He didn't take his eyes away from his spoon and spent the evening admiring himself, fixing his hair, bragging about his parent's money."
"I'm sorry." He said sincerely.
"It's fine." You smiled. "Come on, let's go."
Trip looked up at you when you stood up. "W-We're here anyway. Why don't we have lunch?"
You thought for a moment and Trip's heart pounded in his chest, waiting for you to decline. Instead, you nodded and sat down.
"Okay."
Time ran away from the two of you as you talked, laughing together. You realized why Wesley had set you up on a blind date with Trip. He was everything you were looking for. He was kind; funny, considerate, and humble.
When you returned to the base, you took your place by the telephone, ready to answer any calls. You smiled at Trip when he went upstairs, everyone turning to him when he entered.
"Ooh, you're smiling! That's a good sign!" Katie grinned.
"They grow up so fast." Lucas wiped a tear from his eye.
You looked up when Wesley entered and the blonde sent you a smile as he leaned on the counter. "So...how was your date?"
"You are a sneaky little..." You trailed off with a smile. "But you're also a genius."
"I have my moments. So, it went well then?"
"It was great. We talked for a while. He's..."
Wesley smiled when he saw the look in your eyes. "Great?" He suggested.
"Yeah." You smiled softly.

Fictober Day Three!!! and It’s not late!!! Whooo!!!
Prompt: how can I trust you?
Fandom: FFXV
Gladio X Reader Angst and comfort
“How can I trust you!?”
“(Y/N) I swear!!! It’s me!!!”
“Proof! There’s no way! He… He wouldn’t have let you in here!” You backed into the corner holding the broken piece of metal in front of you. There was no way.
About a month ago, You were taken from your friends on their trip during a rite in Altissia. Your lover, Gladio had tried to save you but the king had to come first. You understood that then. For that whole month though, You had been locked into this Chamber with a glass wall being the only way to look out. Food and water was brought everyday by a magitek so you knew you were in the empire. Where else would that Chancellor have taken you? You had only seen him once since he brought you here in person. Only that made you paranoid. You knew about his ability to turn into other people. He had made you hear Gladio screaming for you so many times.
Now Gladio was here. He had broken through the Glass wall with a magitek arm and was in front of you. You had the arm now and was ready to use it to fight. If this was Ardyn, You weren’t going to die without a fight. Gladio had his hands up in front of him now as you backed up.
“(Y/n) (L/n) Is your full name. You grew up outside of the wall and served in the kingsglaive. We met because Cor saw you in action and wanted you for the Crownsguard. That Traitor Drautos let you transfer and I helped to train you with Ignis. You were one of the last ones to leave the city during the attack helping citizens to escape…. Your Favorite Color is blue. You love sunsets and The smell of the royal garden in the morning was your favorite scent…. Regis caught you out there before work one morning and you two had Coffee and talked making you late. Cor forgave it because you had been with Regis….” Gladio slowly lowered his hands then reaching back and you aimed it right for his skull.
“You gave me this in Altissia the night before the Rite.” He got something out of his pocket and slowly opened his hand. You felt everything freeze and the tears you had been fighting well up. It was a necklace your mother had left you. A four leaf Clover saved forever in Resin. The arm hit the ground as a sob escaped you. Your knees buckled but you didn’t hit the floor. Gladio caught you and you hugged him tightly.
“Oh gods… Gladdy…”
“I’m here baby…. It’s ok….” You buried your face into his neck sobbing as he held you close. You felt his hand in your hair then and he sighed.
“We’ve been looking everywhere… I heard you screaming down here and the door locked behind me…. Ignis and them are trying to open it but…. I had to…. I couldn’t leave without you… I’ve been so worried….” You nodded then gripping his shirt tightly.
“I’m so sorry…. I am so sorry….. I tired…. I tired to get free but he wouldn’t let go…. And then I woke up here and I was so scared….”
“It’s alright…. It’s over… come on. Let’s get out of here… He got prompto as well on our way here… We’ve been a mess so let’s get out of here…. Then we can talk…” You nodded then and let him pick you up. Your shoes were missing as of this morning so this was safer so you didn’t get glass in your feet. Once it was safe, you were let down and he got your hand tightly. You held his back just as tight praying it was a lie. You knew getting out wasn’t going to be easy though. You had seen the camera click on the second you left the cell. Ardyn had been watching.

Next Chapter
A/N: Wow! This came out a month later! A record for me! Also, I can’t believe this is the same month Beginning to End got written! Ah, I love writing for FFXV so much! Anyways, I think more info got leaked about Y/N in this chapter but next chapter! I’m gonna spoil it! Our favorite FFXV villain meets the gang! Can’t wait for those tensions to rise. Anyway, enjoy this chapter!
It was times like this you wished you paid more attention to Lunafreya whenever she mentioned her duties as oracle and what she had to do in the future to ensure Noctis rose to his calling. If you would have had put your jealousy of Noctis and Lunafreya’s relationship aside, then maybe now, at age 21, you’d know the exact location as to which Lunafreya was heading. However, you didn’t know where she was going but only knew that she was alive. If she was alive then that meant Gentiana was with her without a doubt. You knew the divine messenger would do her best to keep Lunafreya alive at all costs.
Still, you fidgeted in the cramped tent you shared with the boys as the excitement of being somewhere Lunafreya had been merely hours ago excited you. Maybe she knew you were with Noctis and left something at Lestallum to let you know she was alright? Why wasn’t it morning yet? After Ignis told you your sister was alive, you begged him to drive you guys up to Lestallum then and there. Ignis, however, told you the trip to Lestallum from where you guys were now was an entire day’s trip and it would be dangerous driving while the daemons were lurking about.
“Didn’t you see me take them on today? We can handle them!”
“It’s far too dangerous. We cannot take the risk.”
You even offered to drive for them despite not having driven a car a day before in your life. To settle your excited nerves, Ignis promised to wake up at the crack of dawn and drag Noctis and Prompto to the car in order to arrive in the city by sunset. Of course, the promise didn’t come without a compromise. In return, you had to awaken early as well and assist the older man with preparing breakfast. You tried to tell him you didn’t know how to cook – considering you acknowledged as royalty a majority of your life and having personal chefs despite being held hostage – Ignis didn’t take no for an answer.
So, here you were, snugged tightly between Noctis and Prompto. You barely had any arm room and Noctis decided to use everyone’s little space for all his limbs. That meant you had to deal with his left leg crossed over your legs and his arm stretched over your head and hand literally resting on Prompto’s face. How the blond man didn’t wake up and push him off was a mystery to you. The other side of the tent was Gladiolus and Ignis. Gladiolus – Gladdy Daddy as you preferred to call him – was balled up in a corner while Ignis was curled in the opposite one. You knew you should’ve chosen to sleep on their side. They didn’t seem to invade privacy in their sleep. Still, you chose to be next to Noctis. It was weird to you how you had been clinging to him since he found you at the diner in Hammerhead. You guess he was somewhat your prince in shining armor. You snorted slightly as the thought came to your head. A 9-year-old you would be disowning the 21-year-old you if she knew you just called Noctis that right now.
Still, seeing Noctis alive and knowing he was trying to find Lunafreya along with you made you feel safe in his presence. You remembered the time you snooped through his and Lunafreya’s notebook and saw how many times he asked about you, your life, and how he wished he could save Lunafreya and you from the Empire’s clutches. Sighing, you turned over slightly to face the new king. You froze as he shifted his leg off you and back to his own body. Seeing that he was still asleep, you let out a quiet breath you were unaware of holding.
His black hair slowly rose and fell back into place as his gentle breath blew against it. Your eyes studied his entire face and couldn’t help but wonder what he was dreaming about. The frown plastered on his lips and the knitted eyebrows told you it wasn’t a pleasant dream. Was it about Lunafreya? Or his duties as the chosen king? Maybe… it was about his dad.
You knew King Regis had been officially reported dead but Noctis hadn’t brought him up in the past two days. He had to be hurting. You knew what it was like to lose a parent but not through death. Well, there was your mom. She apparently died while you were still an infant. Your father refused to mention her and banned you from ever saying her name. You assumed it was because it brought back painful memories but the angered look on your father’s face said so otherwise.
“I can’t wait for Lunafreya to see you again…” You smiled gently as you carefully brushed some of his hair from his face. He twitched slightly from your touch but the frown on his face slowly curled upwards to a tiny smile as his overall face seemed to release the tension it held before. Moving your arm back to your side, you let out a heavy sigh, and tried to fall back asleep.
~!~
“Y/N… Y/N, it’s time to wake up,” You felt yourself being shaken gently. Groaning, you opened your eyes and squinted in the darkness of the tent to make out green eyes covered by glasses. Ignis…
“Five more minutes,” You frowned as you try to shoo him away.
Ignis let out a small chuckle at your response. “Do you want to get to Lestallum in a timely manner or would you like to spend another night in a tent?”
That caused your eyes to immediately open and you to suddenly sit up. Prompto, who slept on your left side, let out an annoyed moan while his highness didn’t seem fazed from the swift movement.
           “Let’s go! Let’s get cooking!”
“Actually, Gladio is in the field waiting to train you. I’ve got breakfast covered,” Ignis said as he stood up and began to exit the tent. You arched a brow at the man. Why was Gladiolus waiting for you? Shrugging, you carefully stood up and exited the tent.
Squinting your eyes to shield them from the rising sun, you finger brushed your bed hair to somewhat tame it, making sure it covered the scar on your neck. You glanced around the campsite and saw Ignis cooking over the newly lit fire. From the smell you could tell it was bacon and maybe eggs? You weren’t too sure. Glancing over to the sandy field to your left, you saw Gladiolus skillfully swinging his sword around. Grinning, you jogged over to where he was.
“Good morning, princess,” Gladiolus greeted you without taking his focus off his sword.
“Good morning, Gladdy!” You grinned at him. Besides Noctis, you could say you were comfortable around Gladiolus. It was hard to describe but you felt protected around him. He reminded of you when you were younger and Queen Sylva had personal guards follow Lunafreya and you around, protecting you both from harm’s way. After her death, the only ones left to protect you were Imperial soldiers, also known as the ones who wanted you dead.
“Ignis said you wanted to see me?”
“Yeah, I wanted to train with you a little, see what you got,” He stopped swinging his sword and looked over at you.
“Yesterday wasn’t proof enough for you that I’m talented?” You smirked at him as you placed a hand on your hip.
“You were alright, kid. But if you’re gonna be traveling with us then you need to be prepared from some serious monsters out there.”
“I’m only with you guys until I’m back with my sister. Also, my brother has prepared me for the worst. Don’t forget I fought off an entire army of Imperials on a train by myself,” You playfully dusted off your shoulder.
“Is that all you have under your belt?” Gladiolus let out a chuckle. The smirk on your face fell at his remark. It was, in fact, all you had under your belt. You’ve never been into serious fights before.
           “Uh… well…”
“Thought so. I’m not saying you can’t kick ass. I’m just saying a little practice can go a long way, princess.”
“Okay, if you keep calling me princess then I’m calling you Gladdy Daddy,” You frowned at the older man.
Gladiolus arched a playful brow at you. “You’re a flirt, aren’t you? Do as you wish.”
You summoned your daggers as a smile appeared on your face. “Just a tad.”
~!~
“Someone’s in a good mood,” Noctis greeted you as he entered the car. You had already made yourself comfy in the middle of the backseat, impatiently waiting for the others to load the car. Gladiolus and Prompto were packing up the camp stuff while Ignis was checking the car, making sure it was ready for the long day’s trip ahead. Noctis had did his part of cleaning and packing the dishes Ignis had used earlier. You offered to help but they said they could handle everything so you just sat in the car, listening to some of the music Prompto had brought along for their road trip.
“Lunafreya’s alive! And I’m going to get more information on how she’s doing when we get to this Lestallum place! Of course, I’m in a – hey, are you okay?” Your eyes widened as Noctis suddenly grabbed his head in pain. The grimace on his face said he was in extreme pain. Panicking, you looked around for Ignis who was under the hood of the car.
“Ignis! Ignis, something wrong is with Noctis!” You called over to him in a worried voice. Ignis immediately lifted his head from the hood to see the young king in pain. Your words caused the other two men to rush over to the car in worry.
“Noct, what’s wrong?!” Gladiolus asked as he approached the raven-haired man.
Noctis let go of his head as he shook off whatever just overcame him. He looked at the guys around him before landing them on your widened ones. You knew he could see the complete worry in them as your arms stood frozen in front of you, ready to comfort him in whatever way possible.
           “I’m fine… a headache just came over me…”
“Are you sure, Noct? We have some pain meds in the glove department,” Prompto said in a shaky voice. He was just as worried as you were.
“I’m fine, really. No need to worry,” He said this while shifting his eyes over at you again. “Are we ready to go?”
“Everything is in order. Y/N, are you ready?” Ignis asked as he entered the driver’s side of the Regalia.
You just nonchalantly nodded your head at him as you kept your gaze on Noctis. He rested his head in the palm of his hand as his arm leaned against the car door. His eyes were closed and you couldn’t tell if he was sleep or just resting his eyes to recover from the pain he was just in.
“…Noctis asks about me?” A 17-year-old you asked Lunafreya one day as you caught her replying to the recent message he had sent her.
“Quite often!” Lunafreya looked up at you and gave you a genuine happy smile. “I’m so happy you two get along well now!”
“Well, I haven’t seen the guy since I was nine but, sure, we get along,” You shrugged as you plopped beside her on her bed. “What’d he say about me?”
“Shouldn’t you know? Gentiana told me you sometimes snoop in our messages?” Lunafreya smirked playfully at you. Meanwhile, your face turned beet red.
“I, uh, I was just curious! I’m sorry for eavesdropping!” You apologized nervously.
“It’s fine, Y/N. As I said, I’m overjoyed that you two get along well,” She went back to her writing. You just let a tiny smile come upon your face. Seeing Lunafreya this happy made your heart feel warm. If you knew that indirectly admitting you tolerate the young prince now would make Lunafreya so happy, you would’ve admitted to her years ago that you haven’t held a grudge against Noctis since the day you declared you both couldn’t be friends.
“He asks about your neck pains…” Lunafreya suddenly said. “He says he wishes that there was some way he could make your pain go away.”
A small blush came upon your face at her words. Your hand slowly went up to the scar on your neck. Since the injury was literally on top of an important artery in your neck, it occasionally caused an immense pain to overcome you – leaving you in complete agony for a few seconds.
“He worries about me…” You smiled slightly to yourself, unknowingly that Lunafreya heard your words. She looked up at you with a saddened smile on her face before looking back at the notebook in front of her.
“I’m fine, really, you can stop staring…” Noctis suddenly said, bringing you back to present times. You blinked at him to notice that you were, indeed, still staring at him.
“Sorry… just worried…” You let out a heavy sigh as you turned to look in front of you.
~!~
Your eyes widened in awe as the city of Lestallum slowly came into view. The sun was setting so the light shined on it to give it the feel of a haven. It was different from the city of Tenebrae which, though a city, was covered in greenery around almost every corner. As Ignis parked the car, your heart grew in excitement. Lunafreya was here just yesterday. She saw this amazing new scenery. She was breathing in the same air as you. She was alive.
You immediately began to hop out the car, climbing over Noctis in the process. The king widened his eyes at your action, only to grab hold of your waist as you almost fell out the car. You froze at the feeling of his hands on you as a light blush came upon your face. Why were you blushing? You didn’t know exactly. Maybe you were just embarrassed at how excited you were to rush into the town.
           Click!
“What the hell?” Noctis said as he immediately let go of you, causing you to fall on the ground after all.
“What the hell!?” You repeated as you sat up from the ground, glaring up at Noctis who was glaring at Prompto.
Prompto grinned innocently as he tucked his camera away. “I saw a great shot and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity!”
“The opportunity to watch me fall on my ass?” You turned the glare to Prompto. If your face was red from embarrassment before, well, now it was out of anger.
“Well, technically it was your face,” Prompto suppressed a chuckle.
“Prompto,” Ignis gave the blond a warning glare before exiting the car.
“Can you children settle down so I can go see my baby sister?” Gladiolus frowned at Noctis, Prompto, and you.
“Yeah, yeah, let’s go.” Noctis said as he exited the car, stepping over you who was still planted on the ground. He looked down briefly at you for a second before holding a hand for you to grab to pull you up. Pushing his hand aside, you jumped up and walked off to catch up with Gladiolus and Ignis who were leaving the three of you behind.
“I’ve never met Lunafreya but I can tell they’re nothing alike…” Prompto chuckled as he and Noctis watched as you excitedly pointed towards the food vendors across the street from the parking lot. He watched as you grabbed Gladiolus’s and Ignis’s hands and attempted to drag them across the street.
           “… They’re more alike than you think…”
~!~
           “Any word on the traitor?”
“Please refrain from calling my sister that-“
“Sister my ass. She’s just someone your mother took pity on and took in. You could’ve easily dropped her after we rid of your mot-“
“Aldercapt, I’ve been part of your army for the last 12 years without problem and do as you ask. Even down to the point of killing off Y/N. Leave the history between how she became part of my family out of this.”
“Your brat of a sister is a traitor to her country. What makes you think she wouldn’t betray you as well?”
“Does it matter?!” Ravus spat at Ideolas Aldercapt, the emperor of Niflheim. “She’s dead! It doesn’t matter anymore! I’ve killed my sister!”
Ravus’s knees suddenly gave out as he finally spoke the words he’s been trying to suppress the last couple of days. He killed her. He killed Y/N. When he mentioned to Aldercapt of Y/N’s 21st birthday wish, he knew it would end in the woman’s death. Her birthday just happened to fall directly in line with the Empire’s plans of overtaking Lucis and killing the royal family. Aldercapt was all for it, of course. The image of Y/N’s cheerful smile the day he told her that her request had been approved flashed through Ravus’s mind. Her going to Insomnia wasn’t even for herself. It was for Lunafreya. Everything Y/N did was for Lunafreya. Ravus did all he could to protect his blood sister but Y/N put her life in danger multiple times to protect her even more – she even gave up what – who - she wanted the most just to see Lunafreya smile.
“Why do you hate Prince Noctis?” A 16-year-old Ravus asked a nine-year old Y/N.
“He took Lunafreya from me…” The young girl pouted. “She’s mine…”
A gentle smile came across the teen’s lips as he bent down to Y/N’s height. “Is that the real reason?”
The little girl stubbornly nodded her head as she crossed her arms.
“Well, I think you’re lying,” Ravus ruffled the girl’s hair as he stood back up. The little girl in front of him face flushed before she shook her head again.
“I’m not lying, brother! Noctis irritates me! He’s always around Lunafreya, taking her attention away from me and they don’t even notice when I’m around! It’s not fair!”
“Have you tried being friends with him? You three could make an awesome trio…”
“I can’t be friends with Prince Noctis… ever,” The girl huffed but her eyes sadly drifted to the floor for a split second. Ravus arched a brow at this as he suddenly got the feeling she was hiding something. “Besides… he makes her so happy. I could never take away Lunafreya’s happiness…”
“You wouldn’t be taking her happiness by befriending the prince?” Ravus said, confusedly. What did the girl mean?
“I would…” Was all she said before she exited the young man’s room. Ravus sat on his bed deep in thought. He knew the young girl was experiencing her first crush but… what else was she hiding?
“Ah, young high commander, your dear sister is not dead… and I’m not talking about Lunafreya either,” A voice, in a poetic tone which each word he spoke, said as footsteps clicked on the floor towards Aldercapt and Ravus.
“Chancellor Izunia!” Aldercapt said. “What’s wrong? How’s the plan going? What do you mean the traitor isn’t dead?”
The red-haired main tilted the brim of his hat up as he smirked at the men before him. “Call me Ardyn, please…”
~!~
Your eyes widened in awe as the five of you entered the hotel in Lestallum. You couldn’t remember the last time you stepped foot inside a nice hotel. Though it was only a couple of days ago since you went to Insomnia, it felt like it had been ages. You eagerly went up to the receptionist desk with Prompto and Ignis as Gladiolus and Noctis sat around the white plush couch that served as the centerpiece of the hotel lobby.
“Uh… room for… two, I guess?” Ignis said unsurely as he shifted his eyes over to you. You returned his gaze as a smirk appeared on your face.
“Tired of sharing sleeping spaces with me already, Specs,” You said his nickname that you’ve heard the other guys toss around a couple of times while traveling. You stifled in a giggle as the man’s face began to turn red and his glasses fogged slightly.
“N-no, it’s just I thought maybe you’d like your own space…” He stammered as he cleared his throat and turned his attention back to the receptionist. Prompto threw you a look which you only responded with an innocent smile.
“I’m sorry, sir.  We only have one room available as we’re hosting refugees from Insomnia. However, there is one room that is being occupied by a guest who I’m sure wouldn’t mind sharing…” The receptionist apologized.
“Who?” You arched a brow. This was too much trouble. You weren’t up for spending the night with a stranger. You’d rather bunk with the boys. Besides, you’ve gotten used to their presence. You were afraid your feelings of loneliness would return if you were apart from them.
“Gladdy!” A high-pitched, excited voice yelled out as a pair of feet could be heard thumping down the carpeted stairs of the hotel lobby. You turned your attention to the girl who you decided stole the half of the nickname you came up for Gladiolus. Your eyes widened as a young girl, maybe 15 or 16, ran over to Gladiolus and attacked him in a hug. You watched as he ruffled the girl’s hair – much to her dismay – before returning her hug.
“Iris Amicitia. Gladio’s little sister…” Ignis whispered over to you. Ah, so that’s why she was so excited to see the big guy. Prompto, Ignis, and you walked over to the hugging siblings as Noctis stood up. As Iris removed herself from Gladiolus, she looked at Noctis and her eyes immediately widened.
“Noctis! You’re alive! I mean, of course you’re alive, but-“ You tuned her out as you watched her ramble on. You took in her posture as she spoke to Noctis who seemed happy to see her but also as if he wanted something else out of the young woman. She was shorter than Noctis – slightly taller than yourself – and her hands didn’t know where they wanted to rest as if they were constantly anxious. A blush that was on her pale face now but wasn’t there before caught your attention as well. The girl – Iris – also seemed to sway a little and lean in towards Noctis as he spoke to her. A smirk immediately enlightened your lips as you realized; Iris Amicitia had a crush on Noctis.
“How cute,” You said to yourself.
“What is?” Prompto asked as he looked over to you. You just shrugged to let him to brush it off.
               “Iris, this is Y/N Nox Fleuret… she’s L-“
“Lady Lunafreya’s sister!” Another high-pitched voice said. “Wow! She wasn’t lying when she said she had a sister! And she’s pretty!”
“Talcott, show respect,” An older, mature voice said.
You turned towards the stairs again and saw a little boy and an old man descending the flight. Well, the little boy was running while the old man took his time. The little kid – Talcott, you guessed was his name – ran to you and did a complete bow much to your surprise.
“Uh… kid… it’s okay. I’m not really royalty…” You nervously laughed as you awkwardly patted his bowed head. He immediately shot up and grinned at you before turning his attention to Noctis.
“Whoa! Prince Noctis! I’m like your biggest fan! I think you’re so-“
“Talcott! That’s enough!” The old man said as he finally caught up to the crowd. “Your highness, it’s a pleasure…”
“Jared…” Noctis nodded his head at the old man.
“I’m sorry to hear about your father… he was a good friend of mine…”
Noctis immediately tensed up at the mentioning of his father but let it go soon after. “It’s okay… part of life… I guess. I heard Luna was here…”
“She was! She’s so pretty!” Talcott said. “I wish to marry someone as pretty as her one day like you are, Prince Noctis!”
At this, Noctis shot you a look which caused you to arch your brow. What was with the sudden look? He should be agreeing with the kid like you were. Noctis better be grateful someone as beautiful as Lunafreya even gave him the time of day.
“Speaking of Luna…” Noctis spoke up as he turned his attention to Iris and Jared.
               “Ah, right, Lady Lunafreya…”
~!~
It turned out the woman who didn’t mind sharing her hotel room with you was Iris. That made you feel somewhat better as she was the sister of Gladiolus and she seemed like a pretty chill teenager. She noticed how badgered your clothes were and lent you some of her pajamas and even promised to take you into the city in the morning to buy you some more clothing for the trip. Her treat. You sat on the hotel bed across from hers as you watched her prepare for bed. She somewhat reminded you of Lunafreya as she prepped herself by washing her face and teeth thoroughly, then brushing her hair and tying it up in a red headband to keep the hair out of her face during the night. You could easily tell she was part of the royalty life – even if it was just by her family protecting the past kings and queens of Lucis.
“So, Y/N… do I call you Lady Y/N?” Iris arched a brow at you as she sat across from you on her bed, finally finished with her routine.
“Just call me Y/N,” You shrugged at the girl.
“Cool, cool. So, I know I told you and the guys earlier about Lady Lunafreya’s plan…”
Apparently, Lunafreya was going around awakening the Gods so they could lend their power to Noctis. Ultimately, everyone would meet in Altissia – the original place Noctis was supposed to meet her. In the end, it would help Noctis fulfil his duties.
“Yeah… thanks for telling me she’s safe… I was so worried,” You let out a heavy breath you’ve been holding in for a while.
“No problem, however, Lady Lunafreya… she’s super worried about you…”
Your eyes widened at Iris’s words. “What? Why”
“She thinks… you’re dead…” Iris said slowly as if wanting you to take in each word she said. Lunafreya thought you were dead? Why would she think that? If anything, for the past couple of days, you thought she was dead. Lunafreya was well aware you could handle yourself against enemies. She often warned you not to start drama with the guards who roamed the castle in Tenebrae, after all. What gave off the impression that you were dead, unless, she knew of the Empire’s plan to attack Insomnia. However, that didn’t sound right as she was so excited as she secretly prepared to be wedded to Noctis. She must’ve recently found out another way – that meant she also knew Ravus betrayed you as a brother.
“How? Why? Is she okay? What did she say?” You eagerly asked Iris as you felt warm tears filling up your eyes. If Lunafreya thought you were dead then you knew she was probably staggering along in her journey broken on the inside. Lunafreya wasn’t the type to let her inner emotions show to the world as she was constantly under the spotlight as oracle. If the oracle was crying or upset about something, then the world needed to start preparing for the worst. The thought of Lunafreya suffering from being ignorant of your current status bothered you. You had to find a way to tell her you were alive and okay. But how? There was Umbra but you hadn’t seen your beloved companion since he ditched at the train station in Insomnia. Was Umbra even still alive?
“She had some dark, mysterious woman with her and a white dog,” Iris said. You knew immediately who she was referring to – Gentiana and Pryna. “The dark lady said something about another dog unable to pick up your scent to find you and she couldn’t locate you, either. I wish I knew you were with Gladdy at the time, I would’ve let them know you were okay.”
“Thanks, Iris…” Was all you said as you took the information in. Why couldn’t Umbra and Gentiana locate you? Was there some sort of mysterious force around you that made it difficult to locate? At least you knew that Umbra was still alive and actively searching for you. You knew once he eventually found you, you’d leave the boys and go with the dog back to Lunafreya.
“No problem, but hey, shouldn’t we get some sleep? I overheard from Talcott and Jared that you guys were going to some waterfall cave to get a royal arm tomorrow.”
“Yeah…” Was all you said as you fully climbed into bed, suddenly remembering you probably had a long day ahead of you in the morning. “You’re right. I forgot.”
“No problem! Just don’t forget that you, Noctis, and I are going shopping tomorrow! You can’t back out of it,” Iris sent you a playful glare. You let out a small chuckle at the girl as you closed your eyes.
               “I won’t forget.”

Prompt Unveiling
Without further ado here are the prompts that have been selected for FFXV Crack Week 2018. These are being unveiled a week in advance to give you all time to fill them. Instructions on how to submit your fills to us will be given out in the next few days. Check out our faq if you have any questions but here are the main points:
-You do not have submit a work for each day, you can choose to fill as many days and prompts as you wish.
-You do not have to fill all three prompts for the day, you can fill only one, combine them together or submit something separate for all three if you wish.
-The bonus day is to give you a chance to fill any prompts that you might have missed during the week, there are some bonus prompts on this day as well but they have a little bit of a different format to the others.
-If you have a crack work that doesn’t necessarily fill the prompts but you want to submit it anyway, feel free to submit it for the bonus day.
Remember that Crack Week starts on the 4th of June, so there’s a week to prepare before you need to submit them.
Monday -Noctis x Fishing Rod -Boning the Astrals -Au where Kenny Crow is actually General Glauca.
Tuesday -Ardyn x Kenny Crow -A day where everything Noctis eats tastes like vegetables. -Roleswap with the Astrals (i.e. the bros are gods and bahamut et al are on a road trip)
Wednesday -Regis x Regalia -Potion Bottle used Inappropriately -Gladiolus undercover on Iris’ first date in a moogle suit.
Thursday -Cor x Gentiana -Ignis' recipehs start talking dirty to him -The bros are entering battle when, instead of a sword, Noctis accidentally pulls a sword shaped dildo out of the Armiger. Two of the three other bros had no idea it was in there
Friday -Ravus x Kenny Crow -Cup Noodles -The bros meet another character from the FF franchise.
Saturday -Anyone x Regalia -Fighting Titan "Wait... so... Titan's just got NOTHING down there?" -Cor saw something that made him want to burn his eyeballs to a crisp
Sunday The bonus prompts were chosen as we inexplicably received multiple prompt requests for basically the same ideas and so wanted to honour this dedication.
-Noctis x Squidward (Are you hoes happy now? We know who you are)
And, could we possibly have a crackweek without harking back to the most famous crack fic ever:
-The most special snowflake reader insert/oc/canon character that you can think of. There is nothing special about them other than the fact that they *THINK* they are special and that the bro/character of your choice thinks the world of them. Bad grammar and language mistakes are encouraged.
Happy Cracking

"I know you're in there!" Vampire! Noctis x Witch F!Reader. Heather please! Also thank you two so much for doing this :0 it's hella rad and I love your guys work!!!
“I know you’re in there!”
"He's lashing out!" a Crownsguard barked as he yanked on the chains.
"What's gotten into him?!" another roared as she tried her best to drag the prince close enough so she could hook the clasps together.
The prince screeched as silver hit his skin, a wail belting from his throat as his wings smacked around and his clawed feet scrabbled for purchase against the metal flooring. The metal screamed and screeched louder than Noctis had, the guards groaning as they could feel their ears pounding.
One of the Crownsguard turned their head to the rookie who was pulling open the heavy titanium door.
"Rookie," he barked. The rookie looked up, they were shaking in their clothing as they lifted a trembling hand to push up their glasses. "Go get (Y/n)! Her laboratory is by Ignis' office! Go! Get her!"
The rookie stumbled over their own two feet, speeding out of the room with no time to waste, leaving the multiple Crownsguard members to wrestle the vampire into the room.
With one forceful shove, Noctis went skidding into the room, his claws leaving large scratch marks in the metal. His red eyes glowed dangerously as his thin lips pulled back to hiss at the Crownsguards who were now trying to force the door closed. Barreling towards the door, the guards started to panic as they saw Noctis' bared fangs getting closer to them until the door finally swung closed and locked the prince inside.
The door violently jerked, the metal bending to form three circles that protruded out. You could see the outline of each finger as well as the shape of his head.
"What made him snap like this?" a Crownsguard groaned as they rubbed their aching wrists.
"Whatever it was, let us just hope (Y/n) knows how to fix it," another sighed.
"Perfect," you smiled as you held the circular bottle up to the light.
The pink liquid shined greatly in the bright light that hung above you, the more you swirled it, the more it became to be one of the best concoctions in your life.
Standing up, you slowly pushed away papers and binders and books with your feet as you tried to clear a path to get to the crate of duplicate potions.
The door suddenly burst open, catching you off guard and allowing you to miss your step and slip on a stray piece of paper. Your legs slipped from underneath you, your body surged backwards and the potion flew from your hands. A yelp left you before you found your body colliding to the ground, papers going everywhere that was followed by a small crash... then a bigger one.
Dread filled you as you slowly drew away a paper that had landed on your face as you slowly looked up. Rage filled you as you saw your work had been destroyed, glass shattered and the rosy pink liquids had been spilled.
Crumbling the piece of paper, your eyes slowly turned to the door to see the new Crownsguard looking away in fear.
"What is it?" you snipped as you slowly got up.
As you walked over to the table, you prayed to the Six above that at least one potion had been saved.
"(Y-Y/n), th-there's an emergenc-cy," they stumbled over their words. "Did I-I destroy your work? I-I'm sorry."
"It's fine, it's fine, King Regis is going to have to wait three more months for ingredients to be gathered again, but it's fine," I sighed as I looked back at them. "What is the emergency?"
"Prince Noctis."
"What did he do this time? Let me guess: He's missing? Everyone knows he's at that one hidden fishing spot he and Regis went to all the time back then," I rolled my eyes as I started to pick up pieces of glass.
"No! It's not that a-at all!"
"Then what is it?"
"He's... I-I don't know how t-to explain i-it!"
Dread started to creep up on you.
"What do you mean?"
"He transformed into this big bat c-creature! He's wild!"
"Wild? That's not Noctis at all," I scoffed as I placed the pieces into the soaked crate.
"You have to come n-now!" they cried out as they grabbed my hand.
As they started to drag me out of my laboratory, I managed to snag one of the stacks of vampiric books.
"I need to see him!" I argued back.
"It's too dangerous for the royal witch to step foot in there," the guard argued.
"One of you ordered for me to come here and fix him, and now you refuse to let me in? What kind of backwards nonsense is this?"
"This is for your own safety! He's gotten worse!"
"Which is an exact reason for why I should go in there and help him!"
"He's savage! He nearly tore one of us apart when we tried to give him plasma!"
"I can protect myself."
"Until you run out of mana, then you're screwed."
A violent shriek rang out from behind the door that stood between us as several bangs filled it, the door creaking open slightly everytime he banged against the door.
One of the hinges popped off.
"Have you told Regis?"
"He was the first to know. He has no idea what has happened to him!"
"Did he say anything about what to do?"
"The council is meeting about this right now, Regis has no idea what to do or how to help his son."
Noctis wailed once more, his claws prying back the door a bit by the hinges until he could lean down to look at everyone in this room. His eyes were a deep shade of red, his pupils had turned to white dots. That never happens with vampires unless...
He snarled, his claws raking over his side of the door until he managed to slide both hands into the crevice he had created and pried it open more until the hinges couldn't take it anymore.
The door snapped off.
Guards scattered, but you remained, the book forgotten as it fell to the floor - it gathered his attention. His head spun around to look at you, his bat-like face sneered as his long canines glistened in the light.
"Noctis," I murmured calmly as I held up my hands.
He snapped, his wings crunched out and jerked a bit as he stalked forward.
'Something really is wrong with him if he doesn't recognize me,' you thought.
He crept closer to you, you could feel the cold leaking from his body.
"Noctis," you warned as you backed away. He kept coming towards you, stalking forward until you tripped on your own two feet. Your back collided with the metal, but you still backed away from him. "Noctis, no. Noctis, please. It's me, it's (Y/n), you know me!" you pleaded as you started to panic. Noctis' lips peel back to reveal more of his fangs, his jaw opened slightly to show me his long, pointed tongue ready to lap up blood and long slimy strands of saliva pouring from his mouth. "Noctis, please," you whimpered. He surged forward, his large hands planting on either side of you, pinning you to the floor. "I know you're in there! Noctis, please!" you sobbed as he cranked his head back

The Gentleman’s Problem: Part 1
Word count: 4571 Warnings/Categories: Mature, sexual themes, fluff Pairing: Ardyn Lucis Caelum x Female Reader Notes: Part 1 of 2! An arranged marriage AU, where Ardyn is the uncle of King Regis and Eos is at peace. Because I can’t write smut without adding 6.6k words of pretext, apparently.
So I saw this and things happened and here we are. For @ardynweek Day 7: Free Day
Tumblr media
Thank the Astrals, he seems pretty normal, you think and let out a relieved sigh. It’s audible enough for the people standing closest to hear and it earns some wry smiles.
The woman, who you call your mother, sends a stern look at your direction, and you look back with an apology as her brows knit lightly together. She doesn’t dare to show any more of that hideous frown in the company you’re currently in.
Your attention turns back to the man standing on the other side of the ballroom. His posture is straight, and the way he carries himself emits an aura of regality and importance. Yet, the way how his shoulders shake from polite laughter diminishes every bit of intimidating aspect he might have.
“Ardyn Lucis Caelum,” he introduced himself to you on the previous day, “At your service.”
You’re not exactly sure how to employ that service he talked about, despite knowing it was just a figure of speech. This is, after all, only your second meeting with him.
And it’s the engagement party of you two.
You swirl the expensive champagne in the flute that you’re holding with two fingers. It’s bitter and dry, not at all to your tastes, but no one seems to care what the future bride wants. You take a sip as elegantly as you’ve been taught to, and grimace inwardly at the taste before swallowing.
People are examining, judging and scrutinizing your every motion and expression, trying to find a hint of discomfort in your easy smile that is a façade.
“Only one glass,” you mother made you swear before the beginning of the ball.
You make your way past the dance floor, not paying much attention to the pairs dancing to the soft violin tunes. The man standing straight ahead of you is blissfully unaware of your approaching steps. You stare at his dark auburn locks, floating airily around, and wonder how a person who is part of the royal family of Lucis can hold such a… tousled look. It breaks the thin smile on your lips into a more genuine one, but only for a flash.
Finally reaching Ardyn, you place your hand gently on his back. As you smile gracefully to the people he is holding a conversation with, you fail to notice the shiver that travels through his body at the touch.
Ardyn turns to look at you, an identical easy smile to yours on his features as he regards you. But his mind is as much full of wonder as yours.
“Ah, here she is – my lovely bride!”
Your expression doesn’t waver at the words, though the look in your eyes glazes for a second. I’ll get used to it, is the reminder you’ve been repeating for the better part of your past-engagement-announcement life.
Ardyn takes your hand and places a soft kiss on your gloved knuckles. You turn to smile sweetly at your guests; to make sure everyone sees how happy you are about this marriage, and how pleased you are, that your fiancé is such a gentleman.
It is wearing you down, but you endure the evening knowing it will soon be over.
This is the role you were grown and groomed into, and you have accepted that over the years. Things could be worse, you suppose. Peering at Ardyn from under your painted lashes, you feel actually quite relieved that he is not repulsive at first sight or obnoxious in any way. In fact, Ardyn seems to be everything a noble woman could want in a husband, and you wonder for the hundredth time why he has not taken a wife before you.
Of course, him taking you as a wife has nothing do with you. That decision was not yours to make. Your parents were the ones to offer your hand in marriage to the faraway kingdom of Lucis. Thinking you would end up marrying the crown prince, but then hearing that your groom-to-be was the King’s young and handsome uncle came as huge surprise.
Your first reaction was that he is way too old for you. In political marriages such insignificances as age differences are not considered at all. So you kept your mouth shut, and with bated breath and crossed fingers walked into the room where you met Ardyn for the first time.
For once, the Astrals seem to have shown mercy to you. You snatch another flute of the horrible champagne from a waiter that passes, and continue to feign interest to the story one of the noble men is telling in your little group.
Sometimes Ardyn’s gaze flicks over to you and you hold his arm for the latter part of the evening. You’re complete strangers, yet you’re resolute to appear as a happy couple to the audience of nobles. Such is the gist in an arranged marriage.
At least he smells nice, you think, hold the porcelain smile and take another sip of champagne.
The wedding reception is as boring as it is official. The whole of Zegnautus Keep is decorated for the occasion. Everything is as grand as expected for the Emperor’s granddaughter. The guests smile with hurting cheeks through the endless speeches, while you sit still in your absolutely beautiful wedding gown next to Ardyn.
He doesn’t look bad at all. In fact, you’re starting to think he is actually really handsome and interesting in his own way. His features are rather striking and the suit of the groom fits him and his smile like a glove. Ardyn is definitely a charmer and you could lose yourself for days in those amber eyes of his.
It seems that the line of Lucis is swimming in the deep end of the gene pool, you think, looking at His Majesty, Regis Lucis Caelum, sitting next to the Emperor. The King looks like he is fighting a yawn and the thought makes you almost ruin your lipstick by tugging a lip between your teeth.
“I’m pleased to say – to hope – that this union shall strengthen the ties between our two nations–“ You pick up some words from your grandfather’s utterly boring and unnecessarily long speech. Staring at Ardyn’s profile once again, you let your mind wander.
Things could be worse, you ponder again. Ardyn shifts his eyes to take a look at you and your heart flutters at the eye contact. At least you’re capable of feeling some joy in the situation – it’s your wedding after all.
Three days later, you find yourself and your luggage in the middle of one of the quarters in the Citadel. You should have expected to move into the royal palace of Insomnia, but still you can’t tear your eyes off of the dark marble surfaces and wall-high windows of the room. The nightly city spreads along with its shimmering lights to the horizon in every direction.
You first proper conversation with your new husband was in the train on the way to Lucis. There you shared the most important surface points of each other’s lives. Ardyn told you about the everyday life in Insomnia, sparing no detail and answering meticulously to all your questions, and he told you what to expect when you arrive. In return, you told him about your life in Gralea, even though it felt pointless as it was in the past now.
It’s a relief that he is so easy to talk to, your thoughts remind you, but a faint sigh escapes into the empty room.
You shed your coat over the back of an armchair and walk over to the view. The window surface is cool to the touch as you rest your forehead against it, and your breaths make oval-shaped blurred areas that dissipate quickly.
“So this is my home now…” you say quietly, despite knowing that you’re alone. The trip from Gralea was long and tiring, but Ardyn still had to leave immediately to take care of some business for the kingdom.
You have not had a moment alone with him yet and it makes you feel a tad uneasy. The only kiss you have shared was at the altar – a chaste, but surprisingly pleasant one. And also your first kiss. The wedding night – against all odds and expectations – ended up with you both sleeping on your own sides of the bed. Maybe you should have tried the punch after all.
You try to gather your thoughts and remember all your mother’s teachings about how to be a good wife. Ever since the announcement of your marriage to Ardyn, she had not shut up about those. Calming embraces and salutation kisses muddle inside your mind, when you think about how to seize the opportunity to put the advice into action. Somehow you feel that the success of the marriage rests mostly on your shoulders. Ardyn has been nothing but polite and kind to you, but you could use a little spark. Especially in the bedroom.
It doesn’t take even a day for you to find out that while you’re married in the eyes of the Gods, Ardyn is married to his work as well. And while he has his work in the Council of Lucis, it quickly becomes painfully apparent that there are no other expectations of you than to possess a clean public image. In the local rags you’re already deemed as the prize wife – doomed to live in luxurious despair.
Little do they know, you ponder, swirling the spoon in your cup of choice beverage in the morning’s first light. You woke up as early as you did just to wish Ardyn a good day, but he left before you could give him that kiss on the cheek.
Maybe he is just that shy? You have nothing but time to figure things out, but it’s not that easy for you. You’re practically alone in Insomnia – no handmaidens, no friends and you can’t use this device they call a mobile phone for the death of you.
“Call me whenever you need, my dear,” Ardyn said as he handed the phone to you before heading off to work, leaving you to stand dumbfound in the vestibule. That was when you should have given the kiss to him.
Your agenda of the day is clear: Ask someone how to the hell this thing works and… contact, you suppose that is the correct word for it, your husband. Just to remind him of your existence.
Since you have not left the royal quarters after your arrival in Insomnia on the previous day, you think it’s high time to show your face around the Citadel. Dressing up alone for a change is actually quite relaxing, even though your wardrobe is seriously lacking. The royal colors of the Lucis Caelum family are black and gold, so you make a mental note to hail those in the future in your garments. Most of your current clothes are white; such is the favored color of nobility in Niflheim.
Having to change your last name into Lucis Caelum never bothered you before, but when you repeat the new name in your mind, it does sound peculiar. More regal than Aldercapt, for sure, but like something from a fairy tale instead of real life.
You slip out of the quarters and look around. Immediately, the guard standing at the end of the hallway greets you firmly and stands at attention. You give him a gracious nod and try to look like you know exactly where you’re going.
In the elevator you get lucky. The crown prince and a serious looking man with glasses enter some floors before you arrive to the ground level. You have seen the prince on the news and he looks a bit younger than you, as does the other man. Thinking furiously about what you know about the heir to the Lucian throne, you remember he is engaged to the princess of Tenebrae, Lunafrena or something.
The prince seems a little too… boyish to your tastes anyway.
“Good morning, Your Highness,” you greet him and curtsy a little.
Prince Noctis and his companion look at you curiously. While you hold on to the ripples of a smile, the other man clears his throat meaningfully.
“G-good morning,” the prince takes the hint and greets you with a befuddled expression. His hand flies to the back of his neck, and suddenly the metal box feels a little too small for three people.
Prince Noctis seems like a really endearing person up close and it stabilizes your smile into an encouraged one.
“Uhh, you’re uncle Ardyn’s new wife, right?” he blurts out. The other man shoots him a bewildered look.
“Please excuse His Highness’ manners,” he says while burying the prince to the floor with his gaze.
“It’s quite alright,” you reply, continuing to smile to hide the awkwardness, “Yes, indeed I am. It’s nice meet you in person, prince Noctis.”
The elevator chimes softly as it reaches the ground floor, and all three of you step out. The Citadel entrance hall is bustling with traffic while the Crownsguard members keep a vigil watch. Everything looks so different in daylight, but maybe it’s just the sudden crowd that is making your head spin.
“It’s nice to meet you too,” Noctis says, “This is Ignis, my advisor.” He motions casually towards the other man, who bows deeply in front of you.
“Ignis Scientia, at your service, my lady.”
You nod curtly. He seems a little stiff. “Pleased to make your acquaintance.”
“Where’re you headed?” Noctis asks with a tad raised brows. Maybe he thinks you look lost – twisting your hands in front of the elevator and looking around with wide eyes. In truth, you feel really lost.
Your eyes wander from the bustling people back to the prince and you let out a light laugh. “I was just going to look around since we arrived last night,” you explain.
“Alone? Where’s uncle?” Noctis’s brows furrow and his expression has a hint of concern. Ignis studies you intently with his gaze and pushes up his glasses.
The smile on your lips wavers just enough for the prince to catch it. “He had to attend to some important matters,” you say as nonchalantly as you can.
In that moment you feel lonelier than you have ever felt in your whole life. In Insomnia almost nobody recognizes you. No bowing, no excessive greetings or flamboyant gifts addressed to you to gain the Emperor’s favor. Here you are just another noble among the rest – at best.
Ignis clears his throat again along with a meaningful look towards the prince.
“I, uhh, if there’s anything I could do to help…” Noctis begins carefully.
You remember the mobile phone in your purse.
“Actually… I got this just today”–you dig out the device, painfully aware how you handle it embarrassingly awkwardly–“and I have no idea how to use it.” A light, self-conscious laugh escapes you.
Noctis and Ignis look at each other in utter confusion.
“Right, Insomnian mobile phones must be different from the ones you’ve grown accustomed to in Gralea,” Ignis ponders.
Ten minutes later you’re sitting in one of the lounge rooms that only the people living in the Citadel, meaning mainly the royal family and their related party, have access to. Ignis is patiently showing and explaining the most basic functions of the mobile phone and he is also kind enough to save his and the prince’s numbers for you, so you can contact either of them should the need for more assistance arise.
You end up spending most of the forenoon with the two men before Noctis is called away to have lunch with his father. You decline his invitation to join, made out of politeness, and head back to your quarters. You would rather have your first meeting with the King in Insomnia with Ardyn at your side; he is your husband after all.
Nervous and excited, you browse the new phone’s functions over again lest you would forget them. You pick Ardyn’s contact information and begin to type a message to him, as per Ignis advised since the Council members can’t really take phone calls in the middle of important meetings.
“I met the prince,” you type, “What time will you come back?”
Then you play the waiting game. Again and again, but Ardyn never replies to your text. He must be really busy, you think to yourself, but can’t help the constant frown tugging the corners of your mouth downwards.
A week past your arrival you’re starting to think Ardyn has a side hoe, so to speak. You would never voice your concerns out loud, but the man has barely touched you after the wedding. He does allow you to kiss his cheek as you wish him a good day in the morning, and he accepts your quick embrace when he gets off work late in the evening.
The fact that your marriage has not been consummated yet is starting to bother you. You catch yourself wondering does Ardyn really not like you at all in romantic sense.
I was promised a regular sex life, you think pettily and chew your lip. You’re in the process of filling your many wardrobes by spending most of the light time of the day out shopping. Insomnia has countless luxury clothing shops, but you must have already browsed through all of them in less than a week.
With a weary sigh you put away the cashmere sweater you were looking at. Wearing such a covering piece of clothing at home would do nothing to progress your married life in the bedroom. Your gaze flicks towards the lingerie department and in that moment you make a decision.
If your dear husband is not going to act on his needs, you will make the first move – or three moves if that is what it takes. With determined steps you pace over to the mannequin ahead of you. You might be a virgin physically, but your mind is way past that point. You have not been reading smutty literature in secret for years for nothing.
You make the best purchase of your life: A black silk chemise that hugs your curves enticingly. It’s the kind of piece of clothing that no straight man would be able to resist.
Never have you been so wrong.
In the evening, you pace around the quarters, getting ready to go bed early and trying to make that fact clear to Ardyn too. Your flimsy, basically non-covering panties flicker from under the chemise hem. You give ample opportunities for Ardyn to stare at you by bending down to pick something up you “accidentally” dropped or leaning slightly forward in front of him to reveal your cleavage.
“I’m going to bed now. Will you come to sleep soon?” you purr, leaning to the bedroom doorframe.
The man’s face is like a stone, but for the past fifteen minutes his eyes have not moved over the book page he is reading. “Yes, soon.”
You wait for an hour and unwillingly fall asleep before Ardyn steps into the bedroom. In the morning you wake up to him getting ready to leave to work.
“Ah, I’m sorry, my dear, I didn’t mean to wake you,” he says softly and regards you with that amber gaze of his. There is no sign of restrained lust, nor do his eyes travel over your form as you sit up to stretch generously.
You take a deep breath and smile. “It’s okay. Have a good day,” you wish and lean in to give him a kiss on the cheek. To your pleasant surprise, Ardyn leans forward and your lips brush the stubble on his jaw.
Well, at least you made some progress.
On his way down in the elevator, Ardyn can’t stop thinking about the black chemise covering your frame. How it would feel against his fingers, how it would look sliding off your skin, your heady scent floating into his mind… Burning red spots begin to cover his cheeks again and he changes the rails on his train of thought while he still can.
King Regis flashes an amused grin at his uncle, who steps into the room, looking inconspicuously casual.
Ardyn greets all the Council members he passes with an almost mumbled “Good morning,” and proceeds to take his seat as the second on the right side of the King.
Regis leans closer to him, good humor in his eyes. Ardyn braces himself to what is about to come.
“Late again, dear uncle?” the King says with an undeniable smirk.
Ardyn takes a quick look around to see most of the other Council members holding a similar expression. He holds back a sigh. If only they knew…
“Apologies, Your Majesty–”
Regis chuckles, interrupting Ardyn with a motion of his hand. “If you wish to take a week off to go somewhere with your lovely bride…” His words trail off meaningfully.
“Thank you, King Regis, I shall let you know if the situation changes,” Ardyn says and smiles politely. He doesn’t feel comfortable at all talking about his marriage in front of all these people. The marriage was meant to strengthen the ties between Lucis and Niflheim, but so far it has only succeeded in driving Ardyn mad with desire.
Whatever has he done to deserve such a radiant creature as his wife? Since meeting you he can’t seem to focus on work at all. Everything takes twice the amount of time to do.
“Ah, well, I do hope you will take her with you to Galdin Quay?” Regis asks with raised brows. He looks like he won’t take no for an answer.
Ardyn swallows a bit and nods. He had almost forgotten about the trip. “Why not?”
“Splendid! Well then, where were we?” Regis’s cordial smile turns to the other Council members.
Ardyn chastises his thoughts again for bringing your black chemise into his consciousness. How fortunate that I’m sitting down, he thinks as he crosses his legs and shifts uncomfortably on the seat.
What am I doing wrong? You let out the umpteenth sigh and stare out of the window, trying to trace the skyline in the horizon with your gaze. After finishing all the housework, meaning organizing your new clothes into the wardrobe and giving directions to the maid, you sit down to rest.
You’re bored out of your mind and even the prince seems to be busy since he is not replying to your friendly text message.
The chemise seemed to work, that much you have to admit, but your dear husband still needs more encouraging to drown you with his passion. You can’t think of a reason why Ardyn would dislike you, so you come again to the conclusion that maybe he is just reserved in such matters. Maybe he wants to get to know you before jumping into bed with you? Despite being married, there is nothing wrong with that sentiment and it actually makes you feel a bit better.
After mulling over it to the point it makes no more sense, you decide to continue on that path of seduction with renewed vigor.
It becomes a game to you, the only source of entertainment in your lonely new life in Insomnia. As days pass, you wear less and less clothing around home and enjoy seeing the look on Ardyn’s face when he finally steps through the front door.
Ardyn is not stupid. He realizes exactly what you’re doing and acting on his needs becomes just so much more harder, no pun intended, when he sees your revealed skin in the dim candle light that you have orchestrated around the room. He is running out of options and escape plans.
Warping down from the balcony of the second highest floor in the Citadel doesn’t sound like such a bad idea anymore.
The more you try, the more elusive your husband gets and you’re ready to give up and pack your bags. If only that was an option. For the life of you, you can’t understand what is wrong when Ardyn only makes polite conversation while you’re hanging around in nothing but a short silk robe.
You were ready to accept your fate in getting married to a man you have never even met, but this is downright torture. And it only gets worse when one morning you catch Ardyn fresh from the shower, wearing nothing but a towel on his waist.
The breath hitches in your throat and instead of an apology for the accidental intrusion to the bathroom, only a squeak comes out.
The man, your man, looks divine as his damp, auburn locks are dripping water and his muscles are on the display for you. Your whole face is burning. The look in Ardyn’s amber eyes shifts quickly into a dark one at seeing you and it instantly sends liquid fire pooling between your legs.
Oh my gods, you think you say out loud. You’re so ready to be taken right then and there, but Ardyn’s expression softens as quickly as it darkened and a hint of blush appears on his cheeks.
“I’ll be done in a minute, my dear,” he says as if nothing is happening. Your body is humming madly for him. Before you can inspect any possible prominences through Ardyn’s towel, he turns to grab a bath robe and hastily covers himself.
You wipe the drool from the side of your mouth and nod slowly.
That event makes you take one final, desperate action, which means extensive shopping spree in the fanciest lingerie shops in Insomnia.
When Ardyn finally comes home in the evening, you’re casually strolling around in black stilettos and ridiculously expensive, lacy lingerie. It brings you profound enjoyment at seeing how your husband’s eyes widen in shock and he drops the coat he was about to hang on the rack.
“D-dear?” he stutters, face flushed while you pull out the best innocent smile you can.
“Oh, hey. I’m breaking these in... What do you think?” you ask sweetly and pace closer to Ardyn. You can see his Adam’s apple bob as he swallows hard and averts his gaze.
“Uh, they look– good. Yes, they look… very… good,” his voice trails off into a mumble as his cheeks turn redder and your smile widens.
Just as you’re reaching out to touch him, he ducks from under your arm and runs to the bathroom. You stand still stunned for a moment.
“Everything alright?” you ask while knocking on the locked door.
Ardyn sits on the toilet lid, hands clasped against his chest and face getting steadily heavier with blush as the straining in his trousers increases. “Yes, I-I just feel a bit sick, I think I’m going to bed early.”
Your hand drops down. “Tell me if there’s anything I can do.” Despite trying to sound sexy, you manage only to sound profusely disappointed.
“Thank you, darling, but everything is fine. I just need to rest.”
You can’t understand what is going on anymore. Doesn’t Ardyn even like your looks enough to consummate the marriage? You’ve been said to be the most beautiful woman in Niflheim and you can’t even seduce your own husband.
With slumped shoulders you flop onto the couch and proceed to stare angrily at the television screen. You kick the stilettos off of your feet and wrap yourself in a blanket.
