Jisung’s hand was gripped tightly in your own. He wishes he could say the nerves and sweaty palms had stopped right after the wedding ceremony but all his feelings were high today and there was no calming them down. It was a rush of intense happiness and nerves, not even close to calming down as the day went on- at least that’s what he thought. He was nervous getting ready that morning, nervous as he stood at the end of the aisle, and emotional as he saw you make your way towards him looking like the woman straight out of his dreams. Sitting in the back of the limo that took you both to the reception, it was a huge tidal wave of calmness that gently overtook him. He couldn’t even remember why he was nervous or really any emotion besides happy at any point in the day. You had both successfully gotten through your vows and not tripped down the aisle, the hard part of the day was over, you had gotten married. He was a married man. A happily married man.

Now, it was time to party. Well, as soon as you made your entrance to the party that is. He could tell you were nervous about the entrance too, despite the huge smile that hadn’t left your face all day. A smile that mirrored his own. While yes, it was the happiest day of both your lives, it was also nerve wracking to have this much attention on you for so long. It was a day that was solely about the two of you and your new, legally official union.

He gave your hand a comforting squeeze as the DJ began to play your entrance song before announcing, “Help me welcome- for the first time, Mr. and Mrs. Park!”

Jisung swore his heart stopped for a moment. Mr. and Mrs. Park. You were Mrs. Park. His wife. He was still stuck in a daze when you tugged on his hand to make your entrance, welcoming the applause and cheers from all your loved ones that filled the room.

He was still stuck in the same lovesick daze as you both made your rounds greeting your guests and thanking them for coming. He really was useless just standing there, hand in hand, not contributing to any of the congratulatory conversations. He was unable to do anything but smile and thank the guests while you stood and made friendly conversation for the two of you. Then he watched you float around the dance floor as you danced with your nieces and friends. You looked like a vision, an angel, spinning around beaming with your arms thrown up in joy, truly the girl right of his dreams. He hadn’t even taken a second look around the room that had been completely transformed to reflect exactly what you had both described and shown to your wedding planner, or acknowledge that the DJ had only been playing songs that held special meaning in your relationship so far. He was stuck in a dream, a daze that fully revolved around you, his wife.

He was sitting beside his uncle when he heard it again, Mrs. Park, and he couldn’t stop the smile from taking over his face. It was as if he hadn’t ever thought that this was something that would happen. Which he of course knew would happen, the new pair of names had been stamped at the back of the save the date cards that had been sent out almost a year ago and was the header for your wedding website. It hadn’t felt real then, it was just a combination of letters that had changed meaning as soon as the wedding had happened. A new meaning that paired perfectly with the person that carried the name, you. 

He smiled at you when you crashed into the chair next to him, a smile on your face even though you were breathless from all your dancing. “Mr. Park, when are you going to join your wife for a dance?” You asked with an arched brow.

Jisung choked on the water he had just taken a sip from, a sip to distract him from your bright smile that rivaled the brilliance of the diamond on your left ring finger. He cleared his throat, “I thought we were supposed to wait for the first dance.”

You rolled your eyes, “That doesn’t mean you can’t dance in my general vicinity. Everytime I look at you I see you just sitting here in your own little world. Are you feeling alright?”

“Of course I am, today is the happiest day of my life,” he reassures you quickly, “I’ve just been thinking.”

“Oooh second thoughts?” You joke.

“Don’t say that! It’s a little embarrassing actually,” Jisung struggles, rubbing the back of his neck.

You smile once again, easing some of his nerves, “Come on Jisung, it’s me, Mrs. Park.” 

He blushes even more if possible, “That’s it. It’s kind of driving me crazy that you’re Mrs. Park- in a good way! Like I can’t believe it. Of course I knew it was going to happen, but it’s reality now, not just a thought or words or a combination of letters anymore. I’ve heard a few people refer to us as Mr. and Mrs. Park, and you calling yourself Mrs. Park, I love it. Marrying you was exactly what I wanted a little too soon after I met you, if I'm being honest. It’s like a dream come true. I don’t know when I’ll get used to it, or if I ever will.”

“I hope you do, it would be a little weird to see you freeze every time you hear it. People might start to get concerned,” you chuckle playfully before confessing, “It feels weird for me too, you know. The wedding has been a complete dream and everything has been absolutely perfect, but this new reality for us is even better.”

Jisung took your hand in his own, sighing contentedly. Today was amazing, a preview for the beginning of the rest of your lives together. He was happy to see you dazzle in your white dress, happy to see you dance, happy to see you mingle, but even happier to see how well life with you as his wife was going to turn out. 

He loved seeing how well you got along with his family, kissing the cheeks of his aunts he always found to be a little too chatty, wiping the sticky hands of his cousin’s kids, and inviting his grandparents to dance. It warmed his heart and made it race at the same time, seeing how well you meshed with his family. Well, now it was your family too. He had loved seeing the way you welcomed his family even before you were both engaged, it showed him how well you would fit for the future. Now, he was here. The day of his wedding- with you- right by his side like he always knew you would be. 

He remembered thinking early on, too early he thought, that he couldn’t wait to marry you. He would never tell you that he knew about a month in that you were the only person he would ever want to spend the rest of his life with. He begged his parents not to tell you after he confessed that he had never felt this way and asked them for advice. He remembers that conversation vividly, it was after a date and he had just gotten home. He asked his parents how they knew they were the one for each other and was it possible he was feeling that too early on? 

“She’s a great girl, when you know you know. You don’t have to try and fight it,” his dad simply shrugged. And Jisung was happy to say he never did try to fight his love. Even when he felt it was too early to confess he showed you in other ways. Remembering little things about you like your take out orders, bringing you flowers, cheering you up when you were sad, making an effort to spend time with you despite your busy schedules- showing you he loved you was always something he did. Jisung would never regret it, ever, because it led to him being here with you right now. In a horrible tuxedo, matching wedding bands, and the love of his life right by his side. He was so glad he never tried to fight the love he had for you.

“You’re getting lost again, my love,” he heard you, paired with a gentle squeeze of his hand.

He heard the DJ say something into the microphone that he didn’t quite catch and the crowd on the dance floor started to trickle back to their seats. 

He faintly heard a familiar song start, before he saw you stand, “Can I have this dance, Mr. Park?”

Jisung stood, guiding you to the now empty dance floor, the song filling the room was the song you had both chosen as the song for your first dance. He nodded, joining you in the center of the dance floor as he grasped your hands and pulled you close to his chest, “I’d do anything for you, Mrs. Park.”

ෆTime Management for Neurodivergent Girly Girls and Boujie Hyperfemmesෆ

This is the pretty girl era of having time management under control. The key is to learn how to live in the moment while also being discipline enough to move on to the next task as needed. I know that sentence was as daunting to read as it was for me to write ૮꒰ྀི⊃⸝ ⸝ ⸝⊂꒱ྀིა I guarantee I gotcha *Chaeyoung voice*

First Things First: Go 1 Week At a Time!! (every 3 days if an entire 7 is too much or your schedule is unpredictable, like mine)

Build a simple list of all the things you have to do and that you would like to do. Its much easier to get it all out on the table so you can donate more of your brain power to sorting things, rather than holding things.

Put all of the things listed on a calendar: Most important first things first! This means things like health appointments,work schedule, birthdays, holidays that you celebrate, classes, or anything that involves not only your time but other’s as well. Then after that put the elective things second; Nail appointments, shopping trips, dates with friends, etc. Lastly, put the things you would like to incorporate into your daily routine; We talking skincare, any hobbies you may have like drawing/painting/sculpting/reading/blogging, any form of exercise, etc.

Once the week or however much time you have scheduled out is done on your overall calendar, then its time for marrying it to your life.

Marrying your schedule: Planner apps, Physical Planner, Dry Erase Boards and Bullet Journals

Choosing your medium at keeping up with your schedule is very important. You may have to try them all before you get comfortable with something. I have tried them all and I’ve found that the main one that truly stuck with me was the app/website Notion. I like it because its fully customizable and you can use it at your own pace. Every week or every day may not be super eventful and so it drops the guilt and shameful feeling of not filling up pages every single day.

Here is what all I use and the way I use them:

Notion <3 I use it as my overall journal. I use the apps on my ipad/phone to check if I’m not home and I can use the website on my PC when I’m home and relaxing. I like it because its very versatile. Think of it as a digital journal combined with similar mechanics of tumblr. I use it for literally everything. There are a lot of videos that can show off all of the cool things Notion can be used for but this is the video that personally helped me learn it quickly

Bullet Journals <3 I have about 3 journals and I love them because I get to customize things with cute stickers and it gives very fun scrapbooking vibes. Because I use Notion as a all over planner I can use my BUJO’s for more fun and creative things. I usually use these for all of my cute ideas and things thats in my mind and aesthetic wishlists and such. Its very therapeutic to take time out to be kawaii and glamorous and just put cute thoughts on to paper! I mainly use it for kpop inputs, my fav shows, wishlists, dates and etc.

Dry erase board <3 I use this as a overall daily top important to-do list! Sometimes I dont always open my notion if I dont have anything extremely important coming up but there may be some things I need to keep on my mind to do for that day. The way my neurodivergency is set up I need to keep the most important things always in my face or I could forget everything. So, I put things on there like get a new tire, pick up order from bath & bodyworks, put clothes in the dryer, wash dishes, and etc. Daily tasks like that usually goes on my dry erase board

Remember at the end of the day dont be too hard on yourself and your schedule! Move at your own pace and always set yourself up for success. Scheduling is ideally suppose to calm you and be a tool to improve your life; not stress you out. If at any point you begin to feel overwhelmed just stop and recenter yourself and your life. I felt overwhelmed at first myself and that was because I was trying to keep up with a hyper organized and productive version of myself that I needed to give more patience to develop. Let this come organically to you and not because you are trying to keep up with what u feel everyone else is doing, or to the future self you are going to inevitably become. trying to promo a new fic idea of mine on tumblr but i have..... 0 of an idea how to improve ☠️ how on earth do you go about with elevator pitches on a website like this? You pitched the idea of BNF and Streamerguys so well and naturally !!

to be fair, i have a bachelor degree in game design, and one of our early assignments had us make 25 game pitches in 2 weeks. then we had to throw 20 of them out and create 10 more. so i've got enough practise under my belt from that alone 🥵

elevator pitches are daunting, but fandom is so nice to us because we've already got the ao3 tagging system and handy trope vernacular. use them!! i try to mention my main tropes in all my fic summaries because they're such a succinct way to describe sooo much about the story (like "Enemies to Lovers")

the rest of it comes down to the actual storytelling process, and how well you can recognise your main themes and conflicts. for slower going stories (i.e. Streamer AU), the setting can also be a helpful detail to mention.

one of the hardest things about an elevator pitch is holding back information. you only want it to contain the most pivotal points, even if it feels like you're leaving out tons of important detail that people might like. when it's particularly difficult to cut a pitch down, i separate it into multiple summaries that focus on a different part of the story, and alternate which one i use when i post about it.

SO to try and wrap this up, here's a checklist for things you can use when making a pitch/summary, and some examples:

the main relationship trope/tag (i.e. enemies->lovers, childhood friends, fake relationship, new neighbours, professional rivals, online relationship, celebrity/fan, secretly pining)

the primary conflict, or the catalyst for the story (i.e. aziraphale signs up for the paris trip, not realising his worst enemy is going too // crowley and aziraphale are mad for each other but legally can't date or crowley will lose his job // crowley wants to take a clipping of a rare rose but priest aziraphale wont let him into his garden)

a pre-existing work it's referencing (i.e. movies and tv show plots you're using, like The Office, Harry Potter, Love Actually etc)

the setting (incl locations, time period, character employment) (i.e. two shops on the same street, school field trip to paris, wedding planner, Through The Ages, coffee shop, actors, authors, musicians etc)

any other trope/tag for flavour if you need to flesh it out (i.e. coming out, meet cute, summer vacation, crowley is good with kids, angst with a happy ending)

ive never watched supernatural, except by osmosis bc i signed up for this website in 2011. this book is what i imagine people say when they say "what if supernatural was good?"

Rebecca Roanhorse's Trail of Lightning (her debut) and Storm of Locusts takes Maggie, a typical lone hero/monster hunter/horrible bitch of a woman (i say this approvingly) and says listen! you can do way sicker shit if you like. accept help and community and have a support system. it does not read like booktok found family or approach this in the typical fanfic way, which is refreshing. it points out that you will be a much longer lived and successful monster hunter this way. this is optimization, if you really look at it.

most postapoc stuff doesn’t contend with the fact (if it even acknowledges indigenous people at all) that indigenous people have already lived through several colonizing apocalypses. these books make a very sharp point that there is not a tremendous amount of difference between the reservation before the apocalypse and the reservation after the apocalypse. the worldbuilding in these is a interesting spin on sea levels plus the Energy Wars, to keep all of that at arms' length the Diné built a magical and physical wall, which i think is a funny spin on the trump border wall.

neither of them are really romance or kissing books, there is romantic interest but they are kept extremely busy not dying and admiring each other's competence. they are action and gore heavy. this is notable bc the books are fairly short (took me about two and a half hours each) and they have pretty fuckin good action scenes! the first book has an underground club and fight ring run by a cat god: club atmosphere was terrific (there's a bit about them having to drag in hastily camouflaged cheap walmart tables to handle some overflow and i instantly knew exactly the table), it had a dress up scene I was very weak to. i thought the series of events by which they ended up at the big boss battle post-club was kind of stupid but (forgivably) the big boss battle was quite enjoyable. figuring out what to do with your life next when you’re highly trained for a very specific thing but also not trained enough to be a serious danger and were set up to fail was extremely compelling to me, an astronomy major who cannot actually work in astronomy.

second book really hits its stride and (girl who has only played fallout voice) feels very fallout-y. desperate quest to save a loved one. girls' trip through a bunch of weird places with a bunch of weird guys. there's a lot of references that play with tone without ever going HEY REMEMBER THIS OTHER WORK YOU COULD GO LOOK AT RIGHT NOW? there’s a plane and a weird guy that made me think of mad max thunderdome, except the weird guy is his own character and has his own arc. there’s a weird grandpa on a boat who i don't think is a reference at all, except maybe to the timeless genre of weird grandpas on boats. there’s a sentient casino trapping people inside that reminded me of the new vegas dead money expansion, except Maggie barely steps inside bc she immediately gets caught up in a day-long battle of wits against the god of gambling. Maggie is a little more settled in her own skin now that she’s regularly talking to other people and has rejoined her community in her own small ways on her own terms and it HAS made her a much more successful monster hunter. the dialogue is snappier, the action scenes are more elaborate and smoothly choreographed. it's nice to watch an author grow so quickly (from this is serviceable to oh SHIT this is fun) over the course of a duology :) this feels like it was meant to be a trilogy but this book came out in 2019 so i am not holding my breath. it has a nice solid endpoint right here imo.

past sexual violence is sort of orbited around but no sexual violence is actually depicted, which i appreciate as a woman trying to enjoy postapoc.

ALSO also phil has finally been spayed and is now dealing with four separate issues: the giant wound still on her side, the spay incision, the necrotic abscess in her mouth from going too hard on a springy toy, and being underweight from trying to heal three things at once. we'll get there! we'll get there. it's just taking a while. we are going to have friday afternoon vet visits every week for the foreseeable future.

i love her so much and i'm glad she's feeling better but i genuinely think owning a horse would be cheaper than owning this one wonky cat. they shaved SO much of her tummy she looks even sillier than usual.

I love that the tasks can be organized by what part of the cosplay it pertains to, like weapon or helmet or pants, whatever you want! Theres also a nifty view for just the things you need to buy, ideal for shopping trips so your list is all in one place.

I've been using this app to help me work on Biker from Hotline Miami. Being able to go step by step through each piece has been so satisfying, and I can store progress photos in the app as evidence of my work if I were to ever do a cosplay contest! (Which I might be we'll see)
