Huh. Someone correct my math, but the Road Trip Crew (all four) were together for a little under... two months? Wish we got to see more of that!

Meryl and Roberto meet Vash on the morning of May 25th, go to Jenora Rock and spend the night. Then by the end of the 26th, the town is destroyed.

Three days later (they say Vash hasn’t eaten all that time), they run into Wolfwood, so that would be either the 29th or the 30th depending on what days they’re counting. So the crew gets together on May 29th or 30th.

The Ultimate Incident happens on July 21st (I believe?), so unless Vash was asleep for like, weeks or something, they spent a LOT longer than I thought together.

I WANT TO SEE THE ROAD TRIP THEY WENT ON THROUGH ALL OF JUNE AND MOST OF JULY!

many people often interpret the plants in trigun as like vash's "sisters", but i realized since independents are plants' offspring, they're more like his aunts. which creates an absolutely hilarious dynamic of like, him traveling to different towns and checking in on and taking care of his aging aunties. yes hello i'm vash and this is my hivemind of all powerful aunties. they badger him about "that man" he travels around with and "when is he gonna settle down" like the humans. it's adorable

I can't remember who said this or where, but I remember seeing someone once try brainstorming what Legato would be like in a softer world, where he could heal or not even go through the trauma that made him who he was... And it was so impossible to even consider that the conversation went nowhere.

We see trauma explored in so many ways in Trimax, to the point that I've called it one of, if not the story's main theme. We see people not dealing with their trauma, we see people crippled by it, we see people overcoming it, we see it saving others from being abused, we see it drive people into being abusers. But the fact that this child was so deeply mistreated and scarred to such a sickening degree, and then was thrust into an environment where being useful was his only value to the point that he barely had a chance to become his own person, to the point that his entire psyche is shattered... Man, Legato fucks me up.

and honestly as someone who's always read Vash & Knives' trans-coding as "probably unintentional but very cool," that Thing I just realized about Elandira makes me feel like it might have actually been intentional??? I mean shit dude. The other Plants didn't have to look like that. Using Plant Powers did not need to be that yonic for any mechanical reason. And yet...?????????????????

CAVEAT THOUGH, there is of course a Christian Symbolism explanation for the yonic imagery, re: genesis and miracle virgin births and all that. But what if it was BOTH....?

I am both terrified and on the edge of my seat for the next episode because one one hand, it's literally titles Wolfwood. They titled an episode right after showing Nick's backstory and that's terrifying for those of us who know the OG. On the other hand next ep is bound to be absolutely ama,ing and if it's what I think it is, with the BDN gang and the steamer about to be destroyed, I REALLY can't wait because literally the only thing about the OG I didn't like was that they never once showcased the fact Vash has FUCKING WINGS AND THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED PLZ LET THEM SHOW HIS WINGS IN STAMPEDE!!! Oh and also more Wolfwood centric shit too

I was worried too, even if logically it would make NO sense to kill him off that quickly, but I was afraid for Livio too! GOD THEY LOVE EACH OTHER SO MUCH IT HURTS BUT I'M SO RELIEVED WE FINALLY GOT A BIG WIN!

Shame we didn't see wings, but what we DID see was pretty cool!

I really am loving where the show is going, how even OG fans don't know exactly what's going to happen, and I'm curious to see where some changes go; like Legato being so fixated on WOLFWOOD rather than VASH for now, or them all learning about what Vash is so soon, or what's gonna happen with Livio!
