What in the world are these creatures? They are Mount Kaputar pink slugs (Triboniophorus sp. nov. 'Kaputar'), an Australian species so brightly-colored they practically glow. Arty and awesome, right?

Huge Pink Slug!
The Mount Kaputar pink slug (Triboniophorus sp. nov. 'Kaputar’) is a species of large air-breathing land slug with a stunning pink hue
As the name suggests they are found exclusively on Mount Kaputar in New South Wales Australia at an altitude of 1500 meters
They can grow up to 20cm
Unfortunately, it is estimated that 90% of their population was wiped out in the 2019 wildfires in Australia
If you have read this far why not follow us @animalfacthub for daily animal facts and pics!

😍😍💖💖 Reposted from @nswenviromedia 💗 What’s hot pink and loves the night life? 🌜✨ The rare Giant Pink Slug! It's scientific name is Triboniophorus sp. nov. ‘Kaputar’. 🐌 This #slug survived the break-up of ancient #Gondwana and is now only found in the remote volcanic area of #MtKaputar ⛰ It only comes out at night, lives off bark algae and can grow to 20cm! You all really go nuts for animals that look like snacks huh? First the Triboniophorus sp. nov. ‘Kaputar’, then the Eulalia viridis, and now the Apodichthys fucorum
