Classpects
A “Classpect” is a player’s title in Sburb, which uses the formula [Class] of [Aspect]. Not only does a Classpect dictate a player's reality-bending powers, but it defines a player’s place in their session, their place in reality, and their place within the narrative itself.
There are two components that make up a player's Classpect: their aspect and their class. There are 12 aspects and 14 classes in total. Hypothetically, ANY player could be ANY of the 168 total combos of these, no matter the person, but Sburb will narrow down the options and pick a player’s Classpect depending on how it thinks it can BEST use them in the game/their specific session.
A Classpect is chosen via a sort of “sorting hat” method. The person you are (struggles, goals, gaming strategies, how you interact with the world and others, etc.) inadvertently dictates your Classpect, but that is only BEFORE THE GAME STARTS. Once you’ve entered Sburb, Skaia will ultimately decide your role based on everything it gathered, and you are stuck with it whether you like it or not.
[In total: Classpects are a predetermined in-game role to fulfill as well as a narrative tool.]
Aspects
Aspects are described as “the basic building blocks of everything that exists within paradox space”; a cosmic property that relates MOST to a player and that they have the potential to BEST excel at.
A player’s aspect is always something the player starts out STRUGGLING with in some way. No one ever has total control or knowledge of their aspect right off the bat. It is something that challenges the player and must be learned over time so the player can grow and reach their full potential as a Hero of their aspect.
Aspects are a neutral and nuanced concept- no aspect is inherently good nor bad.
The 12 aspects: Breath, Light, Time, Space, Life, Hope, Void, Heart, Blood, Mind, Doom, and Rage.
Breath: The aspect of freedom and detachment. Breath is impossible to hold down, easy breezy, head in the clouds, go with the flow. Breath is breeze, movement, flight, weightlessness, indirection, and independence. Breath blows whatever way it feels like, not caring about much else.
Narrative connection: Plot development.
Breath’s opposing aspect is Blood.
Light: The aspect of knowledge and illumination. Light exposes the hidden, brightens the dark corners, brings things into the spotlight. Light is relevance, illumination, luck, enlightenment, sight, visibility, definition, and attention. Light brings itself to what is hidden in the dark.
Narrative connection: Plot relevance.
Lights opposing aspect is Void.
Time: The aspect of rhythm and destruction. Time is connected to death, the past and future, taking action, small details, the destination over the journey. Time is repetition, iteration, cycles, pace, patterns, preservation, decay, continuity, and management. Time is the steady tick of a clock, the constant rotation of an ever-turning gear.
Narrative connection: Pacing.
Times opposing aspect is Space.
[Time is one of the fundamental fabrics making up paradox space and is therefore an aspect required to win Sburb. If your session does not have a Time player, your session is doomed to fail.]
Space: The aspect of creation and beginnings. Space is new things, focused on the wait-and-see, the big picture, the here-and-now, the journey over the destination. Space is destiny, matter, physics, making, innovation, and intuition. Space is a vast endless infinity of possibility.
Narrative connection: Setting.
Spaces opposing aspect is Time.
[Space is one of the fundamental fabrics making up paradox space and is therefore an aspect required to win Sburb. If your session does not have a Space player, your session is doomed to fail.]
Life: The aspect of agency and autonomy. Life is foraging your own path, own destiny, self-direction, growing and strengthening. Life is nature, health, resilience, energy, progress, healing, vitality, and nourishment. Life sees its route and fights to take it.
Narrative connection: Agency/action.
Life’s opposing aspect is Doom.
Hope: The aspect of belief. Hope is dreams and wishes, blind optimism, unstoppable force, the "there’s always a way, nothings impossible". Hope is faith, possibility, positivity, will, imagination, and determination. Hope is a clear, enthusiastic "YES!".
Narrative connection: Convenience.
Hopes opposing aspect is Rage.
Void: The aspect of nothingness and the unknown. Void is a blank canvas, an empty page, a dark corner, a shadow concealing darkness. Void is secrets, mystery, invisibility, unexplained, ignorance, irrelevance, and uncertainty. Void obscures what the light can't reach.
Narrative connection: Plot irrelevance.
Voids opposing aspect is Light.
Heart: The aspect of feeling and self. Heart is the core of a person, their identity, passions and interests, the soul, feelings instead of thoughts. Heart is motivation, love, emotions, uniqueness, personal, individualism, bias, and passion. Heart follows itself.
Narrative connection: Inner self.
Hearts opposing aspect is Mind.
Blood: The aspect of unity. Blood is down to earth, grounded and chained, has expectations, forms relationships. Blood is community, responsibility, care, effort, stability, obligation, and connection. Blood is running through everyone's veins and knows it.
Narrative connection: Character dynamics.
Blood’s opposing aspect is Breath.
Mind: The aspect of thought. Mind is unbiased decision making, apathy, black and white, blends in with the crowd. Mind is equality, ration, logic, reason, judgement, calculation, choice, balance, and justification. Mind pushes away feelings and thinks instead.
Narrative connection: Outer self.
Minds opposing aspect is Heart.
Doom: The aspect of fate and constraint. Doom works within the rules, within restriction, follows damands. Doom is burdens, prophecy, acceptance, necessity, limitation, punishment, and misfortune. Doom does not negotiate against the inevitable.
Narrative connection: Conflict.
Doom’s opposing aspect is Life.
Rage: The aspect of refusal and rebellion. Rage is the ugly truth, holding back, immovable object, being stuck, “it’s impossible, there’s no way out”. Rage is cynicism, defiance, fury, negativity, anger, riot and revenge. Rage is a loud, guttural “NO!”.
Narrative connection: Contrivance.
Rage’s opposing aspect is Hope.
Classes
Classes are the second ingredient of the Classpect formula. Since an aspect is a cosmic property that relates most to a player, a class is how that player USES/INTERACTS with that cosmic property & its powers. Classes are NOT something a player struggles with and are just dictated by how they approach/play the game.
Classes are a neutral and nuanced concept- no class is a “worse/better” or “evolved” version of another, no class is gender locked, and no class is inherently good nor bad.
There are six functions of classes: creation, destruction, exploitation, manipulation, knowledge, and relocation.
[Creation: Bringing something into existence.
Destruction: Taking something out of existence.
Exploitation: Having something and using it.
Manipulation: Changing or altering something.
Knowledge: Knowing all about something.
Relocation: Stealing and/or moving something.]
The 14 classes: Heir, Seer, Knight, Witch, Maid, Page, Rogue, Prince, Mage, Sylph, Thief, and Bard, and the two master classes: Lord and Muse.
Heir: One who changes with their aspect or is changed through their aspect. Heirs inherit their aspect and can greatly use it for their session and coplayers.
Class function: Manipulation.
Heirs' counterpart class is Witch.
Seer: One who knows their aspect or knows through their aspect. Seers are knowledge-seekers who obtain information by observing, and guide their coplayers using what they learn.
Class function: Knowledge.
Seer's counterpart class is Mage.
Knight: One who fights for/protects their aspect or fights/protects using their aspect. Knights are set on serving and defending their session and coplayers, using their persona as a shield and their aspect as a weapon.
Class function: Exploitation.
Knight's counterpart class is Page.
Witch: One who alters/bends their aspect or alters/bends using their aspect. Witches utilize their powers to bend the rules and test the limits of their aspect and session itself.
Class function: Manipulation.
Witch's counterpart class is Heir.
Maid: One who serves/repairs their aspect or serves/repairs with their aspect. Maids clean, preserve, and maintain their session with/and their aspect, just as a housekeeper would.
Class function: Creation.
Maid's counterpart class is Sylph.
Page: One who strengthens their aspect or finds themselves through their aspect. Pages start out as weaker underdogs, but once their potential is fully realized, they can use their power to an astounding degree.
Class function: Exploitation.
Page's counterpart class is Knight.
Rogue: One who steals their aspect or steals from their aspect to provide others with it. Rouges take from their aspect and redistribute what they steal to their coplayers Robin Hood style.
Class function: Relocation.
Rouge's counterpart class is Thief.
Prince: One who destroys their aspect or destroys with their aspect. Princes are powerful, blunt forces in their session who once fully realized, will stop at nothing until they reach their goal.
Class function: Destruction.
Prince's counterpart class is Bard.
Mage: One who understands their aspect or understands through their aspect. Mages are the experiencers of their aspect that utilize their experience with it to guide themselves.
Class function: Knowledge.
Mage's counterpart class is Seer.
Thief: One who steals their aspect or steals from their aspect to keep themselves. Thieves are focused on taking from their session and others in it, then keeping that power for their own benefit.
Class function: Relocation.
Thief's counterpart class is Rogue.
Sylph: One who heals/mends their aspect or heals/mends using their aspect. Sylphs are vastly supportive to their coplayers through both backstage influence and personal interference.
Class function: Creation.
Sylph's counterpart class is Maid.
Bard: One who allows the destruction of their aspect or invites destruction through their aspect. Bards can be kind of a wildcard for their session, possibly for the best (or the worst).
Class function: Destruction.
Bard's counterpart class is Prince.
Master Classes
Lord: One who rules their aspect or rules using their aspect. Lords are intensely powerful domineers who command their aspect, session, and everything in it to bow down to them.
Lord's counterpart class is Muse.
Muse: One who inspires their aspect or inspires through their aspect. Muses are completely in tune with their aspect and influence their session with it, leading it like a conductor with their baton.
Muse's counterpart class is Lord.

So the impetus for this was the prompt "gods and monsters" for the fanartwars event on the miraculous fanworks discord server, which I was going to just dump all my entries for in one megapost at the end of the month, but since I fleshed this one out a bit more as an actual au rather than a set of drawings I decided I'd post these separately and early.
So, credit where it's due, I didn't actually come up with the plot for this beyond "somethingsomething human sacrifice plagg the god of death somethingsomething", linerle did:
and I really liked that, so I did this and then I started drawing the comic
I'll copy/paste some of the stuff I posted after that:
Adrien’s weapons include a normal fencing rapier as a starter, a broadsword captioned with “a deadlier weapon from a simpler time”, Nathalie’s crossbow, and his chat noir staff but labeled as “goku’s power pole, the best tool for beating the shit out of your dad”
i'm thinking that adrien would've been 16 or 17 when he died and marinette would've been a few years younger- she still had a crush on him (but here more like "i hope senpai notices me") that she just couldn't spit out, and, ultimately, never got the chance to, because shit happened. the friend group all found said happenings to be extremely suspicious, especially alya who did most of the snooping, but just being young teenagers and gabriel still being rich they couldn't really go anywhere with their investigations and didn't really suspect that anything supernatural was involved until emilie very recently came back to life (something gabe tried to keep under wraps but emilie wasn't having any of it) she's 18 but adrien slightly overestimated how long it's been, so he figured all his friends would be long gone and moved out of their houses but they're only just kinda started gearing up for that transition.
And that's it!

ok senpiss and osuke megapost right here rn guys im so sorry if i forget anything + if this doesnt make any sense: (im not sorry) (this is just gonna be like. Explaining lore and shit mostly idk idk i might add more as time goes on)
warning i talk and ramble a lot during this i am so sorry to everyone on the senpai fnf tag i will not stop preaching about my two idiots
OK so my brain is fucking massive and huge i have two seperate versions of their relationship because i love how complex the both of them can get (even though senpai is quite literally surface level for like everyone who doesnt know how insane i am about his character and how much ive tried to actually give him More Character)
edit: (i lied theres like three seperate versions but im not going to explain them all because its too much and i already feel bad for talking this much)
the first one is literally just typical, bros not in the game or whatever no game exists its just normal bro time ueah ueah (i call this one Normal) (actually i dont call it that) (idk what to call it) (its the one my brain presets to) (if i dont specify which one it is its most likely this one)
the second one is a little more closer to canon senpai where hes actually in the game & this one is More Upsetting to Me a LOT a lot (ill probably get into this more when i actually have a set idea on what i want this au-ish thing to be about) (whenever im talking about this specific thing ill specify this one)
a little sneak peak on the second one is essentially just. osuke collects games, comes across senpai, they both get attached, osuke realizes how bad its getting, tries to get rid of the cartridge because he wants to focus more on actual life shit, senpai somehow Manages to come back (i explained the whole plot im so mad)
the first one is where like. osuke constantly has to move schools due to his parents travelling for work a lot. eventually he just decides to settle in with his sister and just attend the last year at the hs senpai goes to or whatever.
osuke is A COMPLETE LONER!!!!!!! HES A FREAK!!!!!! and HATES MAKING FRIENDS!!!!!!!!!!!! and senpai is just like Holy fuck whats up dude hey whats Up hey and just gets Ignored by osuke entirely which Pisses him off because how dare you ignore the most popular guy in School?????
so senpai just. Continuously tries to bother him so they Can be atleast Friends. Wgich OSUKE he fucking hates it because hes like "waaahhh waaahhhh whats the whole point its not gonna last waaahh waaahhhh"
but he manages to soften up and get used to it which THEN causes their initial friendship or whatever.
senpai obvs isnt gonna let all that work go to waste as soon as he became close with him Because He Realized How fucking Annoying Osuke also Is but he doesnt Mind jt because at first they are #Besties
they kinda have some sort of like "lets make fun of people together" bond Becsude They Are both Pieces of shits except one of them is popular snd another one is just Bitter and A Loner
Im not too sure how they got together yet, i hsvent decided on it. I'm kinda leaning towards the side where senpai is conflicted with these sorta feelings and isnt sure How to actually say it to Him because. Wow! Being friends with a loner? Already Damaged your View on others! And then WANTING TO DATE HIM??? WOW!!!!!!!
plus with the fact that like they most def have some sort of complexity between eachother where osuke is hella fucking jealous about his social status at school whereas senpai is SUPER SUPER SUPER jealous about osukes just. way of not Caring about what people think of him (he foes care he just tries to not let it bother him too much) (it bothers him but he doesnt say it outwardly) (he has a lot of internal shit stuck in him)
its like????? kinda tense but also not????? like the frustration fuels them both in a way if that makes sense (like their love for eachother?????? i dont know)
id like to think there wasn't just a confession it was more so pf just a awkward like, "oh shit we're pretty close, oh fuck wait hold on youre doing this rn????? dude youre kisisng me whay the fuck????? dude??????? are we like a thing now what?????? hellow??????"
i know that senpai would Probably Want there to be a confession originally but osuke is actually too fucking dense to connect two and two together (mainly due to the previous factor of him not really having much friends + having to move on so quickly and Not really processing it fully)
i just really like intimacy between them i think its really sweet seeing it 🦭
thats all i can really think of rn so ill wrap it up enjoy this big ass thread about me talking about my stupid guys i apologize again
#submassed#oc x f/o#oc x canon#osuke (oc)#senpai friday night funkin#senpai fnf#im so sorry guys#big post#ramblings#lore thing

the tri. plot megapost _ Chapter 1
This is the Project I’ve been working on for a while. Basically, it consists in me rewatching Chapters 1-4 and writing out every.single little plot detail that may or may not become relevant later on. It’s divided into Chapters to make it more readable. I’m doing this for Reference purposes, but I figured it may be useful for other people as well.
I may insert the ocasional note/comment, but otherwise this list will be completely objective. Feel free to add anything I may have missed.
Chapter 1 - Saikai
Prologue
In the beginning… There was the soulless creator, Demiurge… Idea, the true figure of the world… and only shapeless chaotic souls had existed in the entire universe. Demiurge does not know of the existence that created him. Nor the existence of the soul. Nor even of Idea. The world he created was merely a shadow of the true world…
A black cube travels through a strange dimension and enters a white space where white cubes flow around.
The cubes join to form a white, egg-shaped object.
As the black cube completes the egg, darkness begins to spread.
A black digi-egg, casting a white shadow, appears over a black background.
The egg begins to pulse until it hatches.
Morning, 13-17 June 2005
The news mentions about the on-going investigations about the “mass Kawasaki blackouts”, whose cause is still unknown.
Over a red background, we see Daisuke, Miyako, Iori and Ken (wearing their Digital World clothes) fall back, as their digivices fly.
Alphamon looms over the collapsed 02 kids.
In the streets, Meicoomon runs by, and a man’s phone malfunctions.
Interference appears in the Odaiba sky, and more people have trouble with their phones.
In the harbour, strange, digital cubes appear and materialise into a Kuwagamon.
Meicoomon runs by, and Hackwmon watches him.
Kuwagamon flies over Hikari, disintegrating into cubes, and enters a dark hole in the sky.
Himekawa talks to Nishiijma on the phone.
“Witnesses are starting to appear.”
“No attacks so far, but not for long.”
In Himekawa’s computer screen, we see 12 circles listing the Chosen Children’s names and coordinates.
The 02 kids’ locations are marked as UNKNOWN.
SUNDAY, 19 June
The news report “recent widespread blackouts in the Kanto region.”
News: “It’s also been suggested that there could be a connection between… the close emergence times and locations of the frequent electrical interferences.”
Meiko moves in to the building next to Taichi.
Sora’s alarm clock malfunctions, and all digits turn into 7.
Sora calls Koushirou and is confused by him speaking French; she thinks her phone is acting weird.
Koushirou: “Maybe crossed lines. The same thing’s happened before. It starts with communications in the digital realm.
Kuwagamon flies over town, his body fragmenting into cubes, as well as 1s and 0s.
Electronic devices, phones, TV screens, and traffic lights malfunction across Odaiba as Kuwagamon flies by.
The news reports about Kuwagamon (“a strange creature”) and electrical interference in Odaiba.
People panic as Kuwagamon destroys cars and buildings around Odaiba.
Taichi chases Kuwagamon, who vanishes into a portal in the sky.
Kuwagamon “materealises” on the Fuji TV building and starts chasing after Taichi.
Taichi attracts Kuwagamon to an empty field.
Taichi’s Digivice shines and Agumon appears!
Agumon’s evolution shows 0, 1, and 2.
Agumon mentions that Kuwagamon is stronger than the last time they fought.
Agumon and Kuwagamon disappear into a portal enter a strange dimension, then the Digital World, and finally appear in the Real World, at the airport.
Taichi calls Hikari, who tells him that Digimon (“unidentified creatures”) have appeared at Haneda Airport.
Nishijima picks up Taichi.
Men in suits pick up Hikari.
At Haneda airport, confusion is installed as Kuwagamon and Agumon fight.
Nishijima drives Taichi in his van, and he watches the fight on a screen.
Radio com: “The site is blocked. Call for the special unit.”
Nishijima drops Taichi at the airport.
“CODE-01, dispatched, sent under escort.”
Five of the Chosen Children (except for Mimi and Jou) show up with their Digimon partners, plus Gomamon and Palmon.
The Digimon say they don’t know how they got there.
“Before we knew it, we were here.”
Two portals open, and two more Kuwagamon appear.
Gabumon et al evolve. Three groups are formed to fight Kuwagamon.
Himekawa picks up Mimi at the airport.
Birdramon and Kabuterimon, Angemon and Tailmon defeat two of the Kuwagamons, who disintegrate into cubes that disappear into portals in the sky.
The remaining Kuwagamon attacks a fallen Garurumon. As it prepares the final attack, a portal opens behind him. A large, mysterious hand grabs Kuwagamon and drags it into the portal!
Hackmon watches as helicopters and agents surround the airport.
The kids don’t know what’s going on. They decide to get some answers from Nishijima.
Himekawa drives a van with the kids. Yamato wonders who she is.
Hackmon watches the airport scene.
MONDAY, June 20
The news reports that “unidentified creatures” caused “major damage” in Odaiba and Haneda Airport. No-one was seriously injured, flights from Haneda Airport were suspended and “transportation was seriously affected.”
News: “Action needs to be taken as quickly as possible. The same creature has appeared a few times in the past. Each time it’s caused serious damage.”
Internet comments: “What the heck they are? Are dinosaurs alive or something?”
News: “Yesterday’s outburst of several monsters all at once created even more damage, and served as a reminder of their menace and destructive power. Here’s some public reactions.”
Lady on TV: “I’m really worried that they’ll come back.”
News: “The police started inspecting the site this morning.”
Taichi says they’re treating their friends as the enemy.
Lady on TV: “The children were terrified. I hope they never come back.”
News: The government has called an emergency cabinet meeting, while the police and Self-Defense Forces are working together on a response.”
Girls at school: Tanaka-kun’s father was at Haneda, “he got injured and was hospitalized.”
Nishijima is not at school today.
Mimi starts school today, in the same class as Koushirou.
Meiko recently transferred to the school from Tottori. She is in Sora and Taichi’s class.
Overheard at school:
“What exactly were those unidentified creatures?” “I dunno. Two monsters showed up and had a wild fight.” “It’s for real irritating.” “I hope they all just hurry up and die.”
Meicoomon hides in the Fuji TV building.
The Chosen Children meet under the bridge.
Koushirou: “First, let’s sort out the situation… I made a summary of six recent, strange events.
First… The gate to the Digital World has been closed off for at least a year.
(Takeru: “For some reason, Digivice was malfunctioning.”) That’s the second event.
Third… Regional radio disturbance occurred mainly around Odaiba. Right after, we had that mystery blackout.
The fourth was… Radio disturbance brought down the networks, except for wired ones. There was poor reception for cell phones, radiophones and TV broadcasts.
The fifh event. For unknown reasons, space has been distorted… which created a new, non-gate connection to Digital World. That’s how the Digimons got to this world.
The sixth event. The Digimons emerging through these distortions in space are all new to us. They went through some unknown mutation.
I suspect all events were caused by distortions in the curvature of space.
Initially, I didn’t know why the first two happened. But now I’m sure it was the same cause. It’s clear that the radio disturbance was due to the distortions in space. Most likely caused when Digital World connected to our world…” (He rambles on... but no subtitles for that part!)
Jou, on the media: “They’re whipping up attention by using scare tactics.”
Taichi says the media are partly right – Kuwagmon destroyed Odaiba and the Airport. Mimi says it would have been worse if Agumon hadn’t intervened. Yamato agrees and says it’s wrong to blame their digimon friends.
Later, the girls are eating at the restaureant, Meiko walks by…
Meanwhile, oth Taichi and Yamato go to the school to look for Nishijima, who is already there.
Nishijima’s full job description: “Incorporated Administrative Agency, National Data Processing Bureau, Information Strategy Section, Information Management Office, Grade 2 Management Officer, Daigo Nishijima.”
Nishijima says that being an agent is his main job.
“Recently, the distortions have emerged beween the Digital World and our world. Digital monsters are using those distortions to come through. So far we’ve handled them, but more powerful ones are turning up. That’s why we asked for your help.”
They call them “Infected Digimons.”
“Some powerful force has infected them. They lose control and start running wild.”
Yamato asks what is that force, Nishijima says they still don’t know.
Taichi asks if there’s a way to turn them “Back to what they were”; Nishijima: “Perhaps, but we haven’t found a way to do it yet.”
Dialogue between Nishijima, Taichi, and Yamato:
Nishijima: “Anyway for now, in order to prevent any further damage to our world. All we can do is drive them back as soon as possible.”
Yamato: “How do you know so much about them? You even know our secret.”
Nishijima: “After the Hikarigaoka and Odaiba incidents, more people know about Digimon. A walk-in, named Gennai, gave us information. It allows us to make an organized study of these digital monsters.”
Taichi: “So you know Mr Gennai?”
Nishijima: Only from his information. But he seems to know all about your group. (A shaded image of Young Gennai appears on screen.)
Taichi: “He was very helpful to us in the past.”
Nishijima If any more powerful Infected Digimons do turn up, we may need to ask for your help again. We’d appreciate it.
Conversation between an Unknown Male Character andHimekawa:
??: “Foreign countries are demanding information about the digital monsters.”
Himekawa: “We still don’t have all the facts, sir.”
??: “Can the walk-in, Gennai, give us any more details?”
H: “We’re unable to contact him.”
??: Anyway gather up whatever data you have at hand.
Daigo calls Maki: “I passed “It” on to the children.”
Meicoomon appears near the beach… a distortion flashes in the sky.
(POSSIBLY?) TUESDAY, June 21
The Chosen Children (minus Yamato and Jou) meet at Koushirou’s office.
Koushirou: “I’m helping out a firm my American friend started.”
Taichi tells everyone what Nishijima told them.
Koushirou has created a virtual cyberspace within his server where the Digimon can stay, as an “evacuation strategy for Digimons in an emergency”.
They can communicate via text or the monitor.
They can’t call them on cell phones because “phone processing speeds are too slow.”
Koushirou: “But if I use my laptop to aceess large monitors connected to the network, they can slip in and out of cyberspace.
They can call them anytime, they’ll either be on Koushirou’s office or in virtual cyberspace.
Takeru calls Yamato to tell him they’re meeting again next Saturday.
Takeru posts on the website Digisitined in the World [sic]:
”Kuwagamon appeared here in Tokyo. Better watch out.”
SATURDAY, JUNE 25
Koushirou pulled an all-nighter in order to finish Taichi’s new goggles, which allow him to see the distortions in space.
Any monitor connected to the internet works as a gate to Koushirou’s cyberspace.
Koushirou: “According to my research, the distortions seem to occur where mass data concentrates.”
The goggles allow them to see the data flow.
Koushirou explains how thy can detect distortions using the new goggles.
“Colors mark the difference in data format and strength.” (The light gets stronger when K connects to his server.)
Red spots are concentrations related to the distortions.
“It’s highly possible Infected Digimons could appear from large distorted areas.”
They decide to check for dangerous spots in the area.
They meet Meiko, who says she’s also searching for something… “kind of a cat”.
The Chosen Children have fun around Odaiba, with Meiko. Yamato joins them later.
A large distortion appears over Tokyo, and Alphamon appears.
They decide to find a high place where they can see more things – the Ferris Wheel.
Taichi spots a large distortion in the sky!
The kids run over to the spot…
VO: An abnormal climatic event is centered on Odaiba. To avoid injuries, an evacuation warning has been issued. Please leave the area in a safe orderly manner. This is an emergency. Evacuate immediately.
It starts raining.
Daigo tells Himekawa he cant get through to the children.
A portal appears in the cloudy sky. Meicoomon (disguise-free) looks up at it and runs. Meiko keeps looking for her partner.
Meicoomon hides, with a sigh of relief – and Hackmon appears nearby.
As Meicoomon watches, Alphamon comes out of the portal in the sky and materialises in front of her!
Alphamon looks at Meicoomon, who shows signs of the Infection for a second before running away. Hackmon watches them, and de-materialises into 0s and 1s.
The kids identify Alphamon.
Maki watches Alphamon appear: “Here. The precious one.”
Meiko continues to search for Meicoomon. She runs into the arena where Alphamon is and finds her partner at last.
Meiko: “It’s okay. You’re safe now.”
Alphamon attacks the two Meis!
Meicoomon turns red and then forms a protective ball of energy around the two of them.
Taichi and Yamato show up.
The Digimon attack Alphamon, who keeps targeting Meicoomon.
Alphamon defeats the Adult-level digimon pretty easily.
Yamato suggests Omegamon.
Meiko: “I’ll never let you have Meichan!”
Alphamon ignores the digimon’s attacks and keeps going after Meicoomon.
Taichi finally decides to fight.
Omegamon appears and fights Alphamon.
Omegamon starts to fail.
Alphamon disappears into a portal.
In her office, Himekawa watches photos of Meicoomon and Meiko on her screen, wiith a smile…
Nishijima watches the battle as well. “It got away.”
Meiko approaches the group. She shows them her Digivice and says that Meicoomon is her partner Digimon and she’s also a Chosen Child. She apologises for not telling them and thanks them for saving Meicoomon…
Post-credits scene
Jou watches the knews about the attack. Hturns it off in order to study…
Yamato asks Taichi if he’s decided to fight.
We see the large amount of destruction in Odaiba.

Okay folks, get ready for a Modern Au Fluffy Megapost~
Firstly, Sylvain and Dimitri have gotten a fluff post already that you can see here if you like! I'll think about whether I have anything to add that would be relevant to a Modern AU for them, but their sections are gonna be shorter as a result.
Yuri, Felix, Ashe x GN Reader
Fluffy relationship headcanons - SFW
Yuri:
- At first, it's not really in Yuri's base nature to be soft and gentle towards a lover. "Delicate" in the cunning, teasing sense, perhaps- but vulnerable and kind? Less so. Which is why it's a bizarre feeling for him when he finds himself wanting to be softer to you- wanting to comfort you and hold you and protect you. He doesn't really know what to do with this new-found tenderness at first, but it will start to manifest in how he treats you despite himself. His tone is completely different with you, he smiles to himself whenever he checks his phone to see you've messaged him, he starts saving songs you mention to listen to later- he simply can't help it.
- He won't let on that he's got quite a lovely singing voice for some time (he intentionally doesn't audition for musicals)- but one night, as your head rests on his lap as he reviews a script for the next play on campus that he's performing in, he starts quietly humming to himself. He stops as soon as he realizes you've noticed, but you carefully say, "I'm... pretty sure I recognize that song- how does the rest go?" He indulges you, humming the rest, even peppering in some of the lyrics. But by the end, he smiles with a quirked eyebrow and pokes your cheek playfully, "Don't think you fooled me with that line earlier- you couldn't repeat a single note of that song, you were just goading me into singing it."
- After this though, he does treat you to a song or two whenever you're upset or not feeling well. He knows that, with all of the complex and duplicitous relationships he's left behind him, it's a relief to finally have something he can give you that he's never willingly given to a partner before. So when you're sick or stressed or dealing with a mental health issue, he'll stroke your hair and sing softly to you, the quiet smile you wear tugging sweetly at his heart.
Dimitri:
(most of my thoughts are in the link above)
- Dimitri loves doing boyfriend tasks for you, like carrying heavy things (really any things) for you, reaching the top shelf, opening jars (he has broken one or two), and so on. He's the type to make sure to hold the umbrella over you even if it means he gets rained on.
- He's a clumsy texter, and his messages to you are always full of type-o's and ridiculous auto-corrects. He also has every voicemail you've ever left him saved on his phone and will listen to them when he hasn't seen you for a while.
Sylvain:
(once again, he's in the link up there)
- He sends you stupid memes of animals with "this is us" typed below. Most of his signs of affection are dumb and cute but goofy like that, and getting him to actually level with you and express his genuine love and care for you can be pretty rare.
- Sylvain secretly likes romcoms, like, a lot. He tries to brush it off, saying, "Oh you know, I've just seen a lot of them on dates." but his encyclopedic knowledge of their plots and cast suggest otherwise. Once he fesses up to you though, he refuses to meet your gaze and mutters, "it's just.. nice sometimes to think that a relationship can actually be like that, y'know?"
Felix:
- He's so bad at being soft, but he wants to be for you, but also doesn't want to be because ew feelings. Which he has a lot of. This is why the main way he expresses his affection is through physical contact. It's mostly in private, where he can be super cuddly with you- but in public, he'll still find times to lightly brush his hand against yours, or an excuse to "fix" your hair, mumbling, "It's flying all over the place, hold still-" even though it's really not that out of place, he just wants a reason to touch you.
- Felix is a funny one to bring your problems to. He's actually a surprisingly good listener for someone he cares about, so he's happy to just hold onto your hand and listen to you vent about whatever's bothering you. If it's an interpersonal problem, he'll probably offer to confront or straight up fight whoever is giving you trouble, which might at least get you to laugh, even though he fully means it. But for a more serious problem, he'll quietly wipe away your tears and remind you, "Hey, listen- you just... keep living your life as you, okay? You can't be anyone else, and I don't want you to be."
- He secretly loves it when you play with his hair. While he's studying or gaming, he likes to lean back against the edge of his bed or a couch and have you sitting behind him brushing out his hair, or even braiding or pulling it up for him if you like. He finds your touch incredibly soothing, and there have even been times when he's spaced out a bit and completely forgotten what he was doing because he was just enjoying your nails along his scalp and your fingers through his hair. Honestly, it's a bit like scratching a cat's ears- he'll even subconsciously lean against you if he's not careful.
Ashe:
- 'soft' is Ashe's default state in a relationship, and it is just the cutest. He wears his affections openly on his sleeve, and if you're upset or unwell, his concern is completely obvious. When you're sick, he'll immediately start looking up your symptoms and any possible solutions, and he's always got extra pillows and blankets to lend you. He knows your favorite snacks and movies by heart, and always has them on hand for off-days.
- He loves cooking for you, and cooking with you, if you're into it. There's something so intimate and domestic about making and enjoying meals together, and he has an uncanny way of making the best of even a crappy little college dorm/apartment kitchenette. Though, you're going to have to set some strict boundaries with your friends about date nights, because if you let them, your friends and his will swarm to his cooking and mooch off of the fruits of your labor- and we all know Ashe is too nice to say no.
- Ashe absolutely wants to own a pet with you. Perhaps even before moving in together, he'll help you select a small, low maintenance pet, and he'll always be delighted to come visit it and help you take care of it. If you're living together, he definitely wants a cat or a small dog, and he's a total pet-dad about it. He'll give them cute little bandanas to wear, experiment with which brand of food they seem to like best and so on. He gets a bit shy if you tease him about his doting, but ultimately, he'll just kiss your cheek or forehead and say, "I just want to take care of you both as best I can, that's all."

ANGIE YONAGA
The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly
Okay, so this is a megapost about why I absolutely love the potential and idea of Angie, but explain my creative differences with Kodaka, who absolutely butchered her. I feel like I should at least put something about how Angie needs to be a bit more appreciated in the DR community, as absolutely batshit crazy she is.
In this post, I’ll divide things into Good (Things I really like about angie in general), Ugly (things that are probably true about Angie, or things that would be changed if i were in charge-- these things are often misunderstood.), and BAD (things that i would remove about Angie all together cause there’s no circumstances that it would be okay, or even feasible someone would do stuff like that (even Angie))
More Under the cut!
THE GOOD
Her unhealthy piety to Atua
I’ll get the elephant in the room out of the way. I do like that she is overly obsessed with the Divine way rather than her own way, and can’t tell the divide between her own wants and her deity’s wants. It adds a potential for self discovery, and learning herself so that she can grow as a character, potentially.
Her overall craziness and how things are on her island
Some people find Angie a bit jarring about her character, but i find it pretty endearing, kind of like how people view Harley Quinn-- Different, but in Angie’s case its on a more benevolent level. I always liked how she has a different idea from the rest of the cast on how to do things, and she may have unorthodox methods, but she comes to the same conclusion as everyone else. She is always on the same page, but came to that end in a totally weird manner. Her island’s alleged ways and the lack of knowledge about things allow for a fantasy-like culture where blood sacrifices are made via truck every monday and wednesday, and there are plants that are hard to tell if they’re actually animals. This leads to a variety of Cultures-- but i’ll get to the barbaric portrayal in a sec
the way she thinks she’s cute.
She thinks she’s cute, probably because she was cute on her island’s standards, so she kept it up for the attention.
THE UGLY
How one-note Angie is
I will say that Angie’s “Atuaism” is very one-note in the game. Like, when I wrote as Angie, I delved into how lonely she felt, how her island functioned (if it did), and how she became so high and mighty in her own village. Did she rise to that point of power? Was she elected as the Oracle of the island against her will, and was brainwashed into being the cult leader? (Think Natural Harmonia from Pokemon Black and White.) We don’t really know, but the way I wrote angie is that it was a role forced upon her, and she was very lonely as no one was allowed to interact with “her purity”. That would some add some interesting twists to her character!
Blood Sacrifices and the Cult
She says that on her island, there are blood sacrifice rituals. However she did mention it was a “teensy bit” of blood. This could result as a harmless dose- no more than one would donate to the Blood Drive. Otherwise, how would she allow the people of her own island to live? Its a bit too chaotic to function if people gave large amounts of blood and died doing so.
Also, she does mention the fate of someone who eventually became a sacrifice. It could be inferred that she requested it-- but i personally think that since it is a cult mentality, her island took it upon themselves to act for her-- even if she doesn’t condone it, as form of an extremist group. Angie wasn’t in a place to actually punish them every time, so she would do the “7 generation curse” thing and unfortunately turn them loose. Angie was a figurehead, probably. That’s How I chose to see it, anyway, and I wish they werent so flaw-crazy with Angie.
Brainwashing in Ch.3 , pt 1
This one was more that she felt she couldn’t get everyone to cooperate. She knew her place, and began to brainwash everyone in the cast. She mentioned that she saw her religion as “you’ll come around eventually” kind of thing, and wouldn’t force it. The forced conversion here, was only because she knew everyone wasn’t on board. She probably would snap everyone out of it to live their lives as they want to if they were to get out because no one wanted to participate, through death or not. She also may have wanted to call Monokuma out on his bluff that he’d murder everyone if there was no murder. (as we know as the audience, would be a very short and unfulfilling show). She had everyone’s best interest in mind, not above hers tho, and did it in the most unorthodox way possible. I like that.
THE BAD
Non-Consensual sexuality
does this need to be said? there was no reason that had to be written. and for Angie to fall for someone who said “no”? That’s EXTREMELY shallow, even for angie. NEXT--
Brainwashing in Ch. 3, pt. 2
Now, how is hugging someone and preying on their weaknesses actual IMMEDIATE Brainwash? Like, I get it, preying on weaknesses can get someone on board... but when it comes to religion, people have a thing called a will. Gonta might join, because his will is weaker and he can be fooled, but Himiko? Kiibo? its not feasible. They know when somethings fishy and not easily fooled (yes, even Himiko). The only reason brainwashing was there because of plot progression. That’s it. if it weren’t for that, i’d ditch it. You can originally tell that Kodaka wanted Angie to be the murderer at some point, but still wanted her to be seen in a worse and worse light. Its terrible. I hate it.
The fact that Angie has no legacy
After Chapter 3-- there was hardly any feeling toward Angie being dead. Most people were traumatized by tenko, and they didn’t know that they sent her to her death. But news flash-- Angie died too. She was a person! Who died! Who tried getting everyone to a better place, and NO ONE recognizes that? all of the student council said “oh, she’s not invincible, guess i was wrong lol” and never mention Angie till the very very end, along with everyone else. I get that no one wanted to mourn for her, but it could at least have an impact greater than that, especially for her legit followers. However, Himiko’s relationship to Tenko afterward is honestly off-putting, because of how obsessive Tenko was, and Himiko said “no. never. leave me alone.”. for her to be like “TENKO I MISS U BB” is off putting, putting it lightly. I do ship those two, but only if kodaka didn’t put his grubby hands on the duo, including Angie.
Well, that was my rant, feel free to reblog if you want, I just love Angie and no one can convince me to stop goodnight :)

I’m waiting for a meeting so here, have the discarded comics idea of a then-15 year old for a pretty-much-dead fandom I recently remembered because I have a megapost in drafts on said fandom.
Once upon a time, I was really into Robotech. Incredibly into it, in fact. But, due to my weird-ass interests, my orbit was skewed compared to the rest of the fandom at the time and probably still is. I didn’t like the heteronormativity of Macross at the time (though I didn’t have that particular word in my vocabulary, it was just really off-putting to me that all these neat female characters were either in romantic relationships or pursuing them; also: lol forever @ the idea that sex-segregated aliens would never ever be in relationships with each other or not know what romantic intimacy was), I was overly generous with Southern Cross’ faults because it gave me 3! main women in the place of the classic Teen Male Hero trope, and I absolutely adored Mospeada and I think it’s probably the source of my love of 1) of post-apocalyptic rebuilding, 2) found family, 3) gender challengers (Lancer, a man, masquerades as a woman and is kind of both in his private life), 4) freedom fighters, 5) really alien aliens integrating into human society. And yeah, some of these elements are in Macross too, but Macross’ relationship drama was so overarching that I was very put off by it.
So basically I wanted to do a sort of off-shoot sequel of Mospeada, without most of the main cast. My mains were all originals who would intersect sometimes with the Invid simulagents (basically: slug people from a bee-like society given human form to serve as spies and later left behind when the queen mother of their race abandoned Earth because humans are crazy enough to torch their own home to drive them off and also because Rem finally got the Flowers of Life growing on another uninhabited planet properly, thus making up for his genetic donor’s original sin). A large part of this was because they were all aliens abandoned by their own people trying to get by in a world that was still dealing with the aftermath of 3 successive invasions and therefore a lot of xenophobia.
Aren: Prototype Invid simulagent released because they were considered defective and, well, didn’t have the fun squishy bits that the later simulagents (Ariel, Corg, Sera) did. The lack of squishy bits is why they don’t really identify with any gender, but if they had to, they would probably lean female. Probably adjusted best to pretending to be human because they didn’t have the same connection to the hive and their people the way the others did. Still bleeds green, though, so they has to be careful. The white hair doesn’t help. Aren probably my favorite design because they wore pinstripe suites and... heh, their swagger went on to influence Twig in Beta AU. They have a thing with a Tirolean.
Rana: Tirolean clone who tended to hide behind Aren an awful lot. One of those abandoned on Earth after the events of Southern Cross (pt 2 of the TV series). She might have been a Zor clone experimented with and discarded when she didn’t show any sign of having his memories, but she would have no idea. For all that she towers over Aren at something like 6′1″ to Aren’s 5′4″, Aren’s the one who goes out on a limb for her*. ngl, a huge part of their relationship was a personal attempt to set right Zor’s original sin of seducing the Invid queen (who, at the time, had no experience with any other race and did not know to distrust him and basically she was an innocent who was taken advantage of), taking the Flower of Life, succumbing to coercion and betraying her, and setting in motion the whole Robotech Wars thing. Rana would never and is fiercely loyal, and Aren wasn’t innocent the way the Invid queen was, thanks in part to extensive exposure to humans.
Dang, I forget their original names, but the other two were micronized (reduced from their original 15 meters tall to human-sized) Zentraedi, a sex-segregated slave race developed by the Tirolean Robotech Masters. Their human names were Dirk and Kris, they were part of the original Zentraedi onslaught (pt 1 of the tv series), micronized because everyone was doing it, and seriously considered joining Khyron’s last-ditch effort to regain the SDF-1 from human hands. They never really got the whole opposite-sex romance thing that drove other Zentraedi wild and, honestly, were probably gay. They found Rana and adopted her, and later found and adopted Aren.
So basically I had the Mospeada-style found family all made up out of races that at one time either enslaved the others (Tiroleans to Zentraedi and Invid) or retaliated against enslavement (the Invid against the Tiroleans after the razing of their homeland, the Tiroleans against the Invid after the Invid invaded Tirol when the Robotech Masters left), just trying to survive. Aren connects with the other simulagents over time, Rana tries to reach out to other Tirolean clones but they’re just as lost as she is, and the Zentraedi guys sort of sit on the fence regarding humans and suspect that getting micronized was a mistake.
I don’t really remember much of the plot beyond that; I know a lot of it was navigating xenophobia and keeping their identities secret. I think there were probably some work camps where micronized Zentraedi were pressed into mining and the gang were working to free them. I never really did much with it after a while, and maybe I’ll recycle the story for something original sometime.
And I’ll bet none of that made any sense, haha. Robotech’s lore is pretty dense.
* Come to think of it, this is probably where my enjoyment of tiny butch defender/knight x big femme princess comes from. I’ve evidently been into it since I was a teenager.

Why the onsen trip on Digimon Adventure Tri. Determination is NOT a filler
Even before I joined tumblr, I’ve seen a lot of people saying that they found the onsen trip scene in Determination completely unnecessary and unneeded for the plot. Well, I have to say, I disagree quite a bit.
This is going to be a long and detailed post so gonna put a cut here. Spoilers for the second movie!
So second movie starts with the gang going on the onsen trip, with Takeru saying it’s a welcome trip to Meiko. And in a sense, it is. The main point of this trip from story point is to introduce us to the character that Meiko is, and how she deals with her digimon, Meicoomon. The most important part of this trip thou, is the hint of what’s to come.
This scene is introducing us to the kind of a scared Meiko & Meicoomon relationship, and implies that something could happen were Meicoomon to start feeling scared. It also subtly implies that something might have happened in the past. Notice how her eyes change direction?
And, as @adventure-hearts pointed out in her Part 2 Megapost, Hikari’s camera stops working right when Meicoomon’s eyes start turning, so this definitely serves as a hint of possible evolution trigger. After all, before this scene, Meiko tells the group she hasn’t seen her evolve yet, so from story point it makes sense to tease the possibility of evolution happening. I’m still not sure if Meiko lied about not knowing her evolution thou, since she does seem to know how to prevent Meicoomon going wild. The way that Meiko is worried about Meicoomon when she disappears with Piyomon is also a good implication of the relationship between Meiko and Meicoomon.
We’re also being introduced to Daigo and Maki on a bit deeper level, and we get to know that the three new characters have already met and interacted with each other before, and how Daigo and Maki have a very close past together. (Click the gif source to see whole set of the gif post.)
In addition to introductions, the onsen trip also serves as a way to show us that Taichi and Yamato are still having some tension between them. From story point, it’s very important to recap this tension, especially since each movie has few months cap between.
Of course, onsen trip also has a bit of ship teases put into it. While I don’t count these as evidence for non-filler trip, I find them really nice addition. That’s up to each person’s opinion though.
As a whole, the trip was meant for the group to get to know Meiko and let her feel welcome in the group. From story point, it was used for introducing the three new main characters to the cast. In my opinion, it was done well, and I will always love onsen trip scene as a whole.
Aaand that’s about it. These are my reasons for why onsen trip should not be seen as a filler, and why it’s important from story point. Was pretty hard to find gifs, and I had to go take screenshots myself for the first two evidence.
Apologies for taking so long, and sorry if this post did not meet the expectations. I’m still learning with writing long posts like this, but since I really had to say this out loud, well, I just did it :) May have missed few points since it’s actually been months since I rewatched this movie last time.

the tri. plot megapost _ Chapter 2
Here’s Part 2 of my Ongoing Project! It’s certainly been interesting to watch tri. with a clinical eye and taking notes for the very first time...
As always, suggestions and corrections are most welcome.
Prologue
Primary Village, under a red sky: digi-eggs are being destroyed; their data is flowing up.
An infected Ogremon attacks Elecmon, who tries to protect an egg.
Leomon gets in the way, and faces Ogremon.
Leomon and Ogremon fight in Primary Village, while Elecmon escapes.
Leomon is injured across his chest.
A Mysterious Man, who looks like the Digimon Kaiser, watches the scene and smirks.
“All were born out of the scorching heat… Beings that create and those that destroy… coexisting, yet mutually opposed… Both created the entire universe… Finally to return to the scorching heat…”
Saturday (or Sunday) Morning, Odaiba (some unspecified time after the battle against Alphamon)
Hackmon watches the buildings.
Meiko and Meicoomon get ready.
We see a destroyed Odaiba being rebuilt.
Taichi and Hikari talk in the balcony, as they watch the reconstruction works.
Mimi drops by to pick them up.
Himekawa and Nishijima drive to the hot springs. Nishijima reminisces about the first time they went to one. But today they are going “out of duty”.
Himekawa hands Nishijima an evelope containing “the latest analysis”.
Himekawa: “By comparing the areas of distortion and the Infected Digimons’ movement patterns, a hypothesis was reached.”
Nishijima: “The Infected Digimons show up to hunt someone in particular?”
Himekawa: “They say ‘someone in particular’ as if they didn’t know.”
Nishijima: “I know. They’re after one of them, or one of their partner Digimons.”
Takeru says the trip is Meiko’s “welcome party”.
There’s tension between Taichi and Yamato.
Jou can’t make it because he has to study for exams.
The Chosen Children decide to take the Digimon “normally”, rather than them entering into the cyberspace.
Mimi asks Meiko if she’s changing schools because of her parents; Meiko says yes, hesitatingly.
The hot springs is called Ooedo-Onsen Monogatari (it’s a real place!)
Jou is at home studying. He receives a text from Sora, telling him not to worry and featuring a photo of Gomamon having fun.
Nishijima meets Taichi, who is surprised to see him there.
Himekawa greets Meiko, who calls her “Hime-chan”. She says Meiko and Meicoomon seem well.
Takeru notices Himekawa and Meiko together at a distance; he approaches them.
Takeru asks Meiko if Himekawa is her oldest sister. As Meiko begins to answer, Mimi and Sora show up and recognise Himekawa.
Nishijima shows up and calls “Hime-chan”, who looks furious.
Mimi is excited and asks if they are on a date and if she’s his girlfriend.
Nishijima says they’re actually exes, and gets slapped by Himekawa: “That’s too much information!”
Sora talks to Meiko about her having met Himekawa before. Meiko says that “Hime-chan” helped her out a lot when she first came to Tokyo.
Meiko: “I think she worried about me since I’m one of the Chosen Children.”
Sora is surprised; she though Himekawa was “unapproachable”.
Nishijima has lunch with the Chosen Children and their partners.
Koushirou asks if the Digimons “have been safe being out because you teachers were around”
(NOTE: I believe this may be a translation mistake – he says “sensei-tachi”, which in context probably means “sensei and the others”)
Nishijima: “No, this is the only area under patrol. We are a small elite unit.” (On a separate table, Himekawa is eating with two men).
Koushirou says that although the criticism of the digimon has gained steam, “perhaps we have yet to see a great effect on daily life.”
Taichi starts asking about the patrol, but is interrupted when Nishijima burns his tongue on his food.
Nishijima: “No need to worry, all has been calm. We came to keep it that way.”
Meiko says that Meicoomon is an Adult.
Mimi asks if Meicoomon “sprouts wings” during evolution, but Meiko says that she hasn’t evolved yet.
Meicoomon hears some music and slips away from Meiko. She finds herself alone, starts getting… weird. Hikari’s camera stops working. But suddenly Meiko shows up and hugs her partner, telling her “she’s okay.”
Meiko warns Meicoomon not to run off alone.
Takeru shows up and asks Meiko is she’s okay. She says yes and explains that this place is new for Meicoomon and her.
Takeru says they should have asked where she wanted to go, but Meiko says she’s the one who should apologise for making them all come together. Takeru tells her that the trip is actually for Taichi and Yamato.
Meiko didn’t know that Takeru and Yamato were brothers. Takeru explains about the divorce and why they have different surnames, and Meiko says it’s good that they are close.
While Meiko is looking for her glasses, Meicoomon and Piyomon fall into a closet of towels, which is taken away.
Meiko runs to tell the girls the two Digimon are missing.
In the men’s side, Nisijima is enjoying a bath with Takeru, Taichi and Koushirou.
Taichi calls him a geezer, but Nishijima insists that he’s “not that old yet”.
Taichi asks Nishijima to tell them more about the Infected Digimons and the Digital World.
Nishijima says that he doesn’t know much, since he’s just a “mid-level administrator”. Takeru asks him if he’s only Himekawa’s “flunky.”
The girls look for the missing Digimon, who are trying to get back. Meicoomon seems upset and calls out for Meiko. Instead, they end up in the men’s sector.
Meiko is worried about Meicoomon. The girls overhear men joking about “animal suits in the bath”.
Taichi and Yamato sulk together in the sauna.
Meicoomon and Piyomon run around the men’s sector.
The girls decide they have to get inside to find them. Mimi bursts in and starts singing “I wish” to distract people while the other three girls run to find the digimon.
After they say goodbye, Nishijima asks Himekawa if the thinks the children are happy or unhappy. She asks him what he thinks, and he says he wants them to be happy.
Himekawa turns around. She tells him that “personal feelings only hinder the mission.” He says she’s cold, and she says he’s too warm to them.
On the bus home, Meiko tells the kids she’s from Tottori, known for its sand dunes.
That Same Evening
Gomamon tells Jou about the events of the day, but he’s not paying attention.
Primary Village, under a red sky: Ogremon jumps around, chased by Leomon.
On the phone, Himekawa says that everyone made it home safely, and there is “nothing out of the ordinary”.
Before she and Nishijima can go home themselves, there’s the sound of an alarm.
Radio com: “An intense radio disturbance has occurred at Point Tango. Warning signs put the chances of extraordinary disaster at 95%. Grade 1 Management Officers are requested to take measures.”
Nishijima says it’s a distortion.
Tanks and military personnel, as well as Himekawa and Nishijima, surround an empty area.
A distortion opens in the sky, and Leomon shows up.
Nishijima wonders if they should call the Chosen Children.
Himekawa: “No, they’re our trump card. And look at how huge it is. This is ideal for testing the new weapon.”
Himekawa, to an armed officer: “We’ve confirmed it’s an extraordinary electronic disaster. Due to the emergency, I request immediate action from the Disaster Responses Force.”
Officer, saluting: “We recognise the call for mobilisation of government-designated personnel. Commencing disaster countermeasures.”
The troops aim ahead… and fire at Leomon.
It seems to be working at first, but Ogremon destroys a vehicle and threatens Himekawa and Nishijima – but before he can cause more harm, Leomon shows up and drags Ogremon back into the portal, which vanishes at once.
Two Days Later (Monday or Tuesday), Morning
Taichi, Sora, and Koushirou meet Nishijima at his office. He arrived late today.
Sora: “It must be rough for you wearing so many hats.”
Nishijima: “Well, not as bad as you guys.”
Koushirou says he heard about the distortion that appeared “the night before last.” Nishijima says they took care of it.
Koushirou seems astonished: “You mean it was small enough that your organization handled it? Or do you mean…”
Nishijima tells him to calm down.
Nishijima: “Using data of where the distortions have occurred until now, we can speculate the places they may appear in the future. Our plan is to reinforce security in those locations.”
Koushirou: “You’re saying we’re not needed anymore?”
Nishijima: “No. The Infected Digimons are very likely to continue to appear around here. Please be ever vigilant. Especially you guys.”
After they leave, Koushirou wonders what Nishijima meant by “especially” them. He wonders if the Infected Digimon could be after them.
Koushirou: “To prevent potential enemies of the Infected Digimons, they might try to eliminate the Chosen Children and our partner Digimons.”
Sora: “What for?”
Koushirou: “I don’t know. If it’s true, why are they trying to conceal it as well? Either way, it pays to watch out. To keep the Digimons safe while we’re out, I’ll increase security in the server room.”
Days (?) Later (Either Tuesday/Wednesday or a different week)
Meiko and Mimi are in the planning committee for the school festival.
Mimi, Meiko and their partners are at a café when a helicopter flies by.
Koushirou sends a message saying an Infected Digimon has appeared.
Mimi decides to go there, and Meiko too, but she looks hesitatingly at Meicoomon…
Taichi bikes to the location.
Koushirou has put the digimon in the server.
Jou reads the email and ignores it.
At the location, helicopters fly over the scene.
Newscaster: “Witnesses reported a mysterious space in the sky, like a distortion, out of which appeared unidentified creatures. Access to the area has been restricted.”
People on the street: “Awful, those unrecognisable things again. What are they? This is scary.”
Mimi and Meiko arrive at the scene. They hear a roar and decide to take a closer look.
A distortion appears in the sky above, and Ogremon shows up.
Mimi recognises Ogremon, and that he’s infected.
Ogremon attacks the girls and the digimon.
Meicoomon fights Ogremon as they escape into the trees, protecting them.
Mimi calls Koushirou and tells him it’s Ogremon; Koushirou tells her they should hold tight because the others are on their way.
Mimi doesn’t accept this. She decides to push Leomon back into the distortion.
Mimi: “Even if infected, it’s still Ogremon, right?”
Meiko reminds her of what Koushirou said.
Mimi: “It’s okay! And the live broadcast means lots of people are watching. We’ll make it perfectly clear there are good Digimons too.”
Mimi runs towards Ogremon.
Mimi: “I’m sorry. I promise it won’t hurt.”
Palmon evolves to Togemon and fights Ogremon.
Jou watches the helicopters around the scene. He reads messages from the other Chosen Chidren saying they’re on their way there. Koshirou sends him a message: “Where are you?”
Jou tells Gomamon he’s too busy to participate.
Togemon fights Ogremon, as a news helicopter flies by. Togemon’s Chiku Chiku Bang Bang causes the helicopter to crash.
The other Chosen Children arrive on the scene. Since it’s secured, they can’t get in.
The Mysterious Man walks behind them.
Meicoomon jumps in to help Togemon.
Leomon appears on the scene and pushes Ogremon back into the distortion again.
Later
The helicopter is removed from the water.
Koushirou fights with Mimi for not staying put as he told them; she says she’s “sick of Palmon and the others being criticised.”
Koushirou: “You acted out of good intentions. Now look at the result. It’s a very serious and delicate problem. Mimi-san, you have… a very egocentric side.”
On TV, images of the battle are replayed, with commentary by the injured reporter.
Reporter: “As you can see, we were attacked by the unidentified creatures, crashing our helicopter.
Jou’s parents are also watching the news. Jou’s school has been closed because of the incidents.
Taichi and Leomon show up at Koushirou’s office.
Taichi: “He said he has something to tell us.”
Leomon: “There are mutations occurring in the Digital World. I came to tell you about them. We first realised it when Orgemon started acting strange. The cause is unknown. But apparently there are the Digimons acting the same strange way.”
Koushirou: “Yes. We call them ‘Infected Digimons’. Is one of those mutations the distortions in space, that’s connecting the Digital World and our world?”
Leomon: “Indeed. It is how I came here. I had my eye on Ogremon to keep him in check but I was too late.”
Taichi: “You don’t seem infected. Why?”
Leomon: “I don’t know. I remember, though, that when Orgemon was infected, it was like something within him become deranged.”
(Background: Images of Orgemon being infected. His code is a series of 1s and 0s. For a split second, it turns into 0, Г, П)
Koushirou: “What came first in the Digital World, the distortions or the Infected Digimons?”
Leomon: “First came the infection.”
Koushirou: “I thought the distortions caused it all, but could the opposite perhaps be true? There could be something else causing the infection. For example, data or some program. Or some kind of creature. If the distortions too were a phenomemon born from infection, it would add up.”
The Digimon wonder if they could get infected as well. Koushirou tells them they’re safe as long as they’re in the server.
Koushirou: “It’s set as a stand alone ordinarily. But when connected to the outside, it has a robust anti-intruder system of my own design with threefold security. And you need my personal authentication.”
Hackmon stands in the balcony… Leomon is ticked off, and runs outside, but finds nothing. Hackmon now watches them from the street.
The Next (?) Day ( A Thursday?)
People at school comment that they saw Mimi on TV.
Mimi runs into Jou, and Hikari overhears the conversation.
Jou walks home in the rain.
Hikari asks Taichi to talk to Jou.
Gomamon brings Jou his midnight snack and Jou weeps.
Next Morning (Friday?)
Gomamon leaves for Koushirou’s office.
Koushirou runs into the office to investigate an urgent email that he received last night, “sender unkown”.
The email is in digi-code.
Koushirou: “It’s the same text as in the traces of the Digital World. (possible translation issue? Could he mean “ruins?”)
Message: “The two sides of the universe are like two sides of the same coin. Those who desire true power must know the darkness, and go beyond.”
Koushirou: “Even if it’s a prank, we need to ascertain who send it and why.”
In her office, Himekawa stares at the same message in her computer screen.
Himekawa, on the phone with an unkown character: “Yes. The Digimon in question is under control through its partner. Nonetheless, someone might try to take advantage of the opportunity. We need to continue to be vigilant”
(Meanwhile, a distortion appears at the school, and Mysterious Man emerges from it. We see images of Meicoomon and Meiko getting ready for the school festival, and Hackmon watching from the top of a building and vanishing.)
As Himekawa hangs up, Nishijima approaches her with “the latest data from the research lab on predicted locations of distortion.”
They study a map of Tokyo, and Nishijima says they “need to increase our security level in this area beginning tomorrow.”
Himekawa: “Request headquarters to increase security. Especially in crowded areas.”
Nishihima tells her that tomorrow is the school festival.
The Next Day (Saturday?)
Sign on at the school: “10th GEKKO FESTIVAL”
(Dunno what Gekko means, but it may be “moonlight” or “moonglow”?)
Himekawa and Nishijima arrive together.
Nishijima tells her that security has been increased and they “have permission to evacuate the school in an emergency.”
Himekawa asks him if he’s told the kids; he says he hasn’t, because he wants them “to have fun today” and “before the Digimon partners, they’re first kids.” Himekawa doesn’t respond.
Koushirou reads the mysterious message again and wonders what “go beyond the darkness” means.
Himekawa and Nishijima continue to walk around the festival. He tries to be upbeat, but she tells him “she can’t take the atmosphere of a school festival.”
Nishijima: “You said the same in high school. Even though you loved lively events like festivals in elementary school.”
Himekawa: “We can’t always remain children. That’s what I learned. I thought so much. But no matter how much I thought, I had no answer. I really struggled. That was high school.”
Nishijima: “You mean you were struggling to grow up? But there was nothing childish about you.”
Himekawa spots Mysterious Man in the distance and is startled.
Himekawa: “Ichijouji Ken?”
But before she can do anything, he disappears.
Himekawa looks around, furious and nervous. Nishijima asks her what’s wrong. Himekawa looks pensieve: “It’s nothing.”
Himekawa and Nishijima show up at Daters and are surprised by Meiko’s outfit; but Himkeawa ends up giggling at her.
Himekawa asks Meiko where Meicoomon is; she tells her, “At Koushirou’s office with the other Digimons.”
Nishijima asks her if only the digimon are there, but Meiko tells them that Koushirou is there as well.
Nishijima: “Izumi didn’t come either?”
Meiko: “No, apparently he’s researching something.”
Meiko and Nishijima watch Meiko and Mimi dancing.
Nishijima: “I wish Izumi could see this.”
Himekawa snaps a photo of Mimi dancing and sends it to Koushirou under the subject “Extremely Urgent”.
Koushirou almost dies, then emails Mimi saying he’s on his way.
Nishijima: “Himekawa-san, what did you do?”
Himekawa: “You said it earlier. You want them to be kids rather than the Digimon partners… at least today. (smiles) I simply agreed.”
Meiko wonders what the digimon will do, and Mimi tells her they’ll stay at Koushirou’s office.
Nishijima: “Maybe I’ll go check, just in case?”
Himekawa. “You are an employee here, so you stay here and watch. (gets up to leave) I’ll go have a look.”
The Digimon decide they want to go to the school festival, and convince Leomon to take them there (Meicoomon’s cuteness does the charm).
A distortion appears behind the the school, away from the main festival.
Leomon (under disguise) and the Digimon arrive at the school and start running around.
Himekawa drops by Koushirou’s office; no-one answers the door.
As Meicoomon appears in the Creepy-Cute Costume Contest, Mysterious Man watches from the rooftop.
Yamato confronts Taichi about “Why Omegamon’s fusion was broken up.”
Yamato: “I don’t care when Omegamon broke up, I want to know Why. At that time, between us two, whitin you, there were oubts Isnt that why?
Taichi runs off without answering.
Meicoomon leaves Daters, upset because Meiko didn’t get her any flan.
A pair of hands emerge ominously to catch Meicoomon… and Himekawa picks it up. She smiles at Meicoomon.
Himekawa takes Meicoomon to the back of the school (the same place where the distortion appeared earlier) and tells the digimon to wait there while she gets her a crêpe; Himekawa leaves.
Meiko and Mimi notice Meicoomon has left; Meiko is alarmed.
As Meicoomon happily explores some flowers, a distortion appears and Mysterious Man emerges.
The Chosen Children rush towards the distortion.
Mysterious Man reaches for Meicoomon.
Meanwhile, Himeakawa is getting the crêpes when Nishijima runs over to tell her a distortion has appeared behind the school.
Himekawa drops the food, says “oh no!” and they run back.
Himekawa: “It’s my fault. I let my guard down. I made a mistake leaving Meicoomon’s side.”
Nishijima (surprised): “Meicoomon?”
Mysterious Man picks up Meicoomon, who seems paralysed with fear, as Mimi, Meiko, and Palmon arrive. Meicoomon screams for Meiko.
Mimi: “Ichijouji-kun!?”
Leomon shows up and orders Mysterious Man to let Meicoomon go.
Mystery Man takes Meicoomon deeper into the distortion.
Meicoomon cries for Leomon, who suddenly shows signs of being infected.
Meiko tries to run after Meicoomon, but can’t enter the distortion.
Palmon enters the distortion and decides to go after Meicoomon. Gomamon shows up and jumps inside the distortion as well.
Leomon (now apparently back to normal) also runs into the distortion.
The other Chosen Children (except for Jou) arrive on the scene.
Mimi: “Meicoomon has been taken by Ichijouji-kun!”
Inside the distortion (in the dimension we have seen before, featuring circular objects sourrounded by orbits), Mysterious Man grabs on to Meicoomon while Gomamon, Palmon, and Leomon face them. The others watch from the other side of the distortion.
Takeru: “Him again? Why?”
Inside the distortion, the red silhouette of Imperialdramon appears – and materialises in front of the Digimon.
Nishijima: “It’s…!”
Himekawa: “Imperialdramon!”
Agumon and the other digimon try to enter the distortion but they are blocked, as Meiko was earlier. They wonder why this happens.
Tentomon: “The distortion’s shut tight!”
Koushirou: “Some extraordinary force might be shutting out penetration from the outside.”
The distortion suddenly vanishes.
Taichi asks what’s going on. Koushirou says he’s trying to monitor what’s happening inside. The others gather around him and his computer to watch.
Palmon, Gomamon, and Leomon fight Imperialdramon.
Leomon is attacked by the infection. Mimi tells the others that this has happened before just now.
Koushirou: “Could Leomon be infected?”
Palmon evolves to Togemon and fights Imperialdramon alone. The digimon ask Koushirou if there’s a way they can go there, but he tells them there isn’t one.
Just when Imperialdramon prepares his final attack, Jou shows up – and Gomamon evolves in turn to Ikkakumon, Zudomon and Vikemon.
Koushirou: “What’s that one? I’ve never seen that evolution before.”
Motivated by Mimi, Togemon also evolves into Rosemon!
Imperialdramon transforms into Fighter Mode (Takeru and Hikari look shocked).
Vikemon and Rosemon fight Imperialdramon.
Leomon is under the effect of the infection again, but snaps out of it and joins the fight.
Imperialdramon dematerialises into green sparks.
Mysterious Man releases Meicoomon and dematerialises as well.
Hackmon also appears in the strange dimension, light shining on his head…
Leomon and the Digimon return to the real world.
Meiko runs towards Meicoomon, who turns its back on her and remains in Leomon’s arms.
Takeru (still looking shocked): “Ichijouji. Why did he appear?”
Hikari (also stunned): “And Imperialdramon too?”
Koushirou: “You both (Tanemon and Pukamon) went into ultimate evolution. What would cause that to happen? Wait, could it be…”
Koushirou rereads the mysterious message.
Koushirou: “Know the darkness, and go beyond. Could it be a prophecy of ultimate evolution?”
Meicoomon is still cuddling against Leomon, seemingly afraid to face Meiko. Leomon tries to calm Meicoomon down.
Meicoomon has a flashback of Leomon under the Infection.
Leomon’s eyes flash purple; Meicoomon is startled.
The screen on Meiko’s digivice shines red and shows a strange image: DNA helixes forming an X. Meiko’s digivice turns black.
As the humans and the Digimon watch, stunned, Meicoomon (who has undergone some sort of transformation) attacks Leomon, slashing him across his chest.
The New Meicoomon’s eyes emit a bright, ominous light. As Leomon asks what’s wrong, Meicoomon jumps up (as Himekawa smirks) and finishes the job by killing Leomon!
Glancing for the last time at Meiko and the others, Meicoomon enters the distortion, which vanishes at once.
The others watch, stunned and distraught, wondering what just happened.
Himekawa turns to leave, and Nishijima follows her.
Nishijima: “You’re fine with just leaving things as they are now?”
Himekawa (calmly): “The distortion has closed and we can do no more. We must consider our next course of action.”
Nishijima: “Why in the world did this happen?”
Himekawa: “The distortions began and the Infected Digimons appeared for the same reason. It is all due to… Meicoomon.”
Meicoomon soars around the strange dimension.

Note
I have tried to make a timeline for Tri. The attack of Kuwagamon happened in June 20 (this is a little weird because the school uniforms do not fit), this date appears. I have understood that Summer Holydays in Japan last since July 20 to August 31 (approximately). The last three films seem to occur in a period of 3 or 4 days. Also, I have the theory, Our Future happened in August 3 (Wizardmon's ghost).
Actually, Kuwagamon’s attack happened on 19 June (this is the date on Taichi’s phone), and Alphamon attacked on the following Saturday, 25 June. (I calculated this when I did my Saikai Plot Megapost.)
From then on, though… the timeline becomes a bit confusing since they don’t specify how much time has passed between Saikai and Ketsui, or during Ketsui, or between the Reboot and the return to the Digital World and the final battle. And Meiko moved back to Tottori in September. However, I haven’t finished my masterposts for the last four movies, so maybe there are more clues that I’m missing.
We can be relatively sure that the Reboot happens around 20 July, since that is typically when summer holidays start. Your theory could work, but we simply can’t be sure. For all we know, the final battle could have taken place at any point between 20 July and 31 August.
