People are definitely being annoying about it, stating his future work will include ai for certain or that Rain Code/Danganronpa was made with ai which just annoying to even suggest. We don't know if he will use it for his work and it seems like he's just having fun with ai which isn't great but it isn't the worst.

Man why do I have to love things with problematic creators, this CERTAINLY doesn't help the already abysmal reputation and things this guy has put in his stories. It's a bigger issue if he lets it influence his work in the future but I doubt that it will.

I think Raincode should've had the Gumshoe things dedicated for the detectives who died on the train, instead of the main cast. I mean- Yuma (and Makoto)'s entire lesson is "you can't handle everything on your own, you need to have people you trust to help you"

But then they make the trust-building and bonding happen in skippable collectable Shinigami Statues????

I think major characters like Halara, Yakou, Desuhiko, Fubuki, Kurumi, hell, even Shinigami should've had easily accessible FTE-equivalents. Maybe they would work sorta like the confidants in Persona, where you spend time with characters and get to know them better and get stronger that way.

Speaking of Persona, I think the game would've felt more "alive" if we simply were able to spend more time in Kanai Ward? It feels like I'm being carted from case to case, with only about 4 short side quests as a break from that. And the quests are just... "talk to this person" "talk to that person" "go here".

Imagine if we could take on smaller cases in between the big ones! They don't have to be complicated, but I WANT to spend time in this city, in this game.

They could do the gift mechanic here, too. After cases you could earn coins for how well you do, and buy gifts for characters, like in Danganronpa. I want to give Halara cat items okay. Let me do that!!!!

I have more complaints/wishes for the game but I do want to say I had so much fun with it. Genuinely had a great time. Just wish there was more, ig? Idkkkk

okay, so i started master detective archives: raincode last friday and it's pretty interesting - however case 0 is also so much.

like im used to ace attorney, where the first case is basically a tutorial to introduce you into the game, but this game's first case is just a WHOLE thing and took me like over 5 hours to beat

and apparently it's only gonna get longer with each case

I really hope the new Uchikoshi x Kodaka game is good. I don't believe for a second that the images we see of the game are real at all. It's another mindfuck on several layers again.
