Little Mel,

I keep replaying that day in my head lately—when they took you away.

I remember how you screamed—how you begged mother and father not to let them take you. Did you hear me screaming too? Did you see me chasing after that damned cart? I should have done more. I’m your big brother and I couldn’t even protect you.

I made it worse when I left—I think mother was already looking for reasons to send me away if I’m honest, after the scene I caused when they took you away... She seemed all too happy to finally be rid of me. Sometimes I regret leaving—sometimes I miss mother and father—I hear rumor that we have another sibling...Isemay is her name, and little Micah is already nearing his third year.

I wonder if either of them know anything about us.

I write to them too sometimes—though I know they will never see these letters, just as I know you too will never read these words.

I don’t know why I keep writing to you…

Dear Brother Matthias,

Natan tells me I am fool to write to you like this. He found my other letters, the ones I'll never send.

But they bring me comfort...or at least I think they do. Mother says you are a bastard and a scoundrel, a stain on the families' legacy. I've heard stories beyond that, of a charismatic mercenary, always off on grand adventures with nobles and pirates alike. I like to think sometimes about the grand adventures you must be on, of all the fantastic things you must be experiencing, and I find myself wishing I could experience them as well.

I wonder if you think of me. If you've ever stopped and thought about where I was or what I was doing. I wonder if you even know about me at all.

Man, we need to talk about Inquisitor Adaar. Because if there's ANYONE who could be called 'Herald of Andraste' that would make the Chantry absolutely lose it, its Adaar, followed closely behind by Cadash.

Because here's the thing. Yes, i think lavellan, cadash and mage trevelyn are all scandalous. But like Adaar's a fucking qunari. And even if they're a vashoth, you know the chantry does not care enough to make it a difference, they're all the same. So its like great, now this fucking fiend who follows the vile Qun is the Herald of Andraste? No way Andraste would do that to us.

We know that the chantry is already not too happy about Andraste and Shartan being friends, and works to erase Shartan. Imagine what the fuck the chantry is going to do with Adaar.

oh and its worst if adaar is also a mage.

Meet My Warden Inquisitor;

~The Light in the Shadow

The Hero of Feralden was as bastard born to the noble house Amell on [Date here]. While not a lowborn bastard, being the bastard of two houses, one of which held magic was seen as a stain by her grandfather. Before House Trevelyn knew of her magic, her grandfather sold her to a Tevinter cousin who was working to gain passage back to Minrathous. However his attempts proved pointless once they reached Fereldan because Drysi managed to escape a ritual he had planned finding her Uncle Malcom and a group of templars who escorted her to Kinloch Hold Once at Kinloch Hold prior to her harrowing at seventeen she was placed under the eye of a budding templar, Cullen Rutherford. As he rose through the ranks she became a promising Spirit Healer often working with a spirit of compassion. Over the years they had grown close and when it came time for her Harrowing, the Knight Commander and her First Enchanter selected her long time protector as her would be executioner. What she met in the fade she does not entirely remember but she does know she withstood it and came out of the fade. According to rumor the excess of Lyrium had triggered a sensitivity in her and she had passed out. A Grey Warden visiting the tower with news of an impending blight would be all it took for her life to upend. Her first task as a junior enchanter saw her expelled from the tower and scooped up by the Warden in question. Only with a pendant and staff to remind her of the only home she had know for years, she went to Ostagar. Waking to find herself one of two grey wardens left in the whole of Feralden with a blight raging, was terrifying and to suddenly be thrust into command and grappled with the reality of her circle falling, loosing the only person she loved due to refusal to harm apprentices, and the ultimate sacrifice of a hero. Over the course of the blight Amell fell into the arms of an antivan crow she ultimately let slip her embrace to go hunt his own demons. It was not until the slaying of Urthemiel that she fell into the arms of an unexpected ally, the disgraced Teyrn Loghain Mac Tir, he became her second in command and faced down the disciplinary action Wiesshaupt handed both of them, with his daughter on the throne and his son doing honestly who knew what. He took over Amranthine for Drysi, giving her the freedom to return to the Circle. This time in Ostiwick. She would not emerge again until rumors reached Denerim's royal court of a Grey Warden mage meeting with the Divine and Knight Divine Trevelyan in Gwaren. However these quickly proved to be nothing but rumor. During the conclave a mage from the Trevelyan family recovered Coreypheus' orb and became the Herald of Andraste. At the fall of Haven it became apparent to Cullen Rutherford who she was with a singular phylactry bearing a grey warden seal. The former Herald of Andraste stood against the fifth blight with a small group of people, and she stood against the world tearing asunder, and then she would stand against the Blight to end all Blights. My words caused those scars...do not belittle the harm I did Weisshaupt has failed us, and I will not see it fail another warden I leave you two alone...you get married in Orlais and come back with ...five Mabari?

Thanos and his forces getting snapped out of existence by an Infinity Gem-wielding Tony Stark in Avengers Endgame; karmic considering that's exactly what Thanos did to half the universe's population in the original timeline

Two from Dragon Ball Z: first was Freeza’s invasion of earth ending with him getting chopped to bits and blasted away by Future Trunks, second was Cell being vaporized after his prolonged Kamehameha duel with Gohan. Granted, there were a lot of great villain defeats in that anime, but those two are the most noteworthy due to these two all-powerful, sadistic mass murderers being annihilated by foes they arrogantly underestimated

Theo Galavan suffering brutal revenge at the hands of James Gordon and The Penguin in Gotham. Up to that point, Theo had been a smug, high-and-mighty manipulator who got away with any number of horrible things with the public lauding him as a hero, so seeing him reduced to fruitlessly begging for mercy while the two men whose lives he ruined the most put aside their differences to put him down for good was immensely satisfying

From The Princess Bride — Inigo Montoya bouncing back from certain defeat during his sword fight with Count Rugen, overpowering the man who tormented him throughout his life before slashing him through his black heart with one last sword stroke preceded with ten words: "I want my father back, YOU SON OF A BITCH!"

Dr. Facilier being dragged into the underworld by his "Friends on the Other Side" in The Princess and the Frog. Suffice it to say, he wasn't ready.

Adolf Hitler getting blown up by American suicide bombers while the rest of the Nazi high command are trapped in a burning movie theater in Inglorious Basterds
