Rosal Surana has not looked in the mirror recently, but he's well aware he does not. The scarring from scalp to chin is enough to show that. Haggard, hollow, having given all he has to a cause which may well never repay him in the end...

On the one hand, it is good that the stranger downplays this, even were it in fact a lie. On the other, Rosal trusts no one.

With a twist to his lips, he leans slightly forward, eyes squinting, and tries to recall the other’s face again. To no avail.
