We teach bbc sherlock fans to shrink themselves, to make themselves smaller. We say to bbc sherlock fans, you can have ambition, but not too much. You should aim to be successful, but not too successful. Otherwise, you would threaten the bbc sherlock hater. Because I am a bbc sherlock fan, I am expected to aspire to series 5. I am expected to make my life choices always keeping in mind that series 5 is the most important. Now series 5 can be a source of joy and love and mutual support but why do we teach bbc sherlock fans to aspire to series 5 and we don’t teach bbc sherlock haters the same? We raise bbc sherlock fans to see each other as competitors not for jobs or accomplishments, which I think can be a good thing, but for the attention of bbc sherlock haters. We teach bbc sherlock fans that they cannot be sexual beings in the way that bbc sherlock haters are.
