He would try 'flirting' by doing small things; opening doors, pulling out your chair, letting you have the first turn (including first pork belly slice or other food) and using the sidewalk rule. (You on the opposite side of the cars)

How did I not know about Sweet Home?!?!

I think because the first season came out when I was on one of my kdrama hiatuses. If it wasn’t for @trendingdrama gifset I’d have not paid any attention to it even now but ahhh it looks like everything I love! The vibe makes me think of one of those Spanish shows I used to be obsessed with and god, that cast is insane in terms of my faves!!!

Now I need a bit of breathing room to watch!

The gifs in OP's post are resposted gifs from the following gifsets:

The reposted gifs, due to whatever process they've been put through, are significantly grainier and lower in quality, not to mention that some of them have been cropped a little too, but the coloring, brightness, contrast etc. are exactly the same, which is why I was able to immediately recognize the first one as luni's @dramastream @rotblut, the next three as wish's @trendingdrama, and the last one as haley's @leedongwook. Instead of immediately sharing this post full of uncredited and reposted gifs in the Asian drama networks I'm in, which would most likely result in OP getting blocked by many gifmakers, I'll give OP the benefit of the doubt and assume that they are either new to Tumblr or do not know how to properly embed gifs and credit gifmakers via the Tumblr gif search function (which is the only proper way to credit them). I just tried it myself and it's a bit finicky, but still takes considerably less time and effort than the hours of work that gifmakers pour into making their gifs. Here is the tutorial I followed.

Some of you may have trouble seeing the amount of editing and work that were put into these gifs and think, "Well, there's no great art to using screencapping software and then posting those screencapped clips and calling them gifs!" (I'm not joking, I recently saw this kind of rude comment in the HOTD fandom, resulting in some very amazing gifmakers going on hiatus out of indignation and protest and solidarity). And so, for better comparison, I made screenshots of the original scenes:

As you can see, the original footage tends to be very dark and gray and dull, while the edited gifs are much brighter, more contrastive, colorful and vibrant, and crisp/sharp.

Hope this explanation was illustrative. Now go and support your local gifmakers!! (And don't forget to give them proper credit if you do use/share their gifs in your posts!!!)

I LOVE GIFS.

I like seeing them on my dash, I like to dig through the tags to see what people came up with. I love making them and reblogging them. It all brings me so much joy. Even the ones that take me longer and don't trun out that beutiful. I love them.

For example this one from this set

I adore this scene but as soon as I laid my eyes on it I knew it was gonna be a bitch to colour. I think it was one of the first ones I used photoshop after not touching that program for over a decade. It took ages to make the gifs but I was smiling through the process because the scene made me so happy.

So I wanna ask the gifmakers to share a favourite gif, or a favourite story behind a particular set and let's collect a bunch of pretty moving pictures. ( I know it's friday 😱 but there's no hurry)
