Okay well now I can’t go back to sleep. So I’m just gonna focus on pleasant thoughts so hopefully I can still get a couple more hours
• I’ve seen it mentioned before that Klingons don’t really have a “death planet” and it’s more of an urban place, and I think it’d be a fun detail if like, Klingons adjusted to being on Earth quicker than Vulcans do
• Probably not, but do you think if Danny dyed his hair, it would have any affect on his ghost form? This would be a sucky way to find out he’s aging at a slower rate due to being a half ghost btw, when it takes forever to grow the dye out of his hair
• So they’re probably going to get everything fixed quickly in the next movie and it’s not gonna be much more than like 24 hours for all the characters, but if fixing Pavitr’s universe did take longer, do you think he’d hang out at Hobie’s place? Like Hobie’s place is the hotspot for hanging out at?
• I’ve mentioned this before but I still think it’d be a fun thing if Humans introduced hugging to different alien species and if they all enjoyed hugging
• I think it would be hilarious if it turned out that Vulcans actually aren’t affected by Humans’ scents, and it was actually just some government regulated soap that the officers were all using that caused that scent, and the second they hang around civilians they’re just like “what?”
• My new hc is that Valerie is still secretly an Ember fan even after finding out she’s a ghost
• Vulcans being secretly captivated by how emotions change a Human’s face

Sunday adventure: A mix of hiking and cycling 🚴 for 12 km to reach the ‘Kanheri Caves’ atop a hill 🏞️ in a national park. The inclines burned my legs but the freedom of the the view at the top and of cycling down the paths made it all worth it. Tough day, but so rewarding.
‘Kanheri’ comes from the Sanskrit word, Krishnagiri, meaning black mountain. The 109 caves were rock cut in the 1st century BCE by Buddhist monks and contain inscriptions and sculptures reflecting the spread of Buddhism and its monastic way of life during its early phases in India.

dehradun days
you meet them for the first time,
knowing it's probably the last.
might as well make the most of this time,
since life comes at you fast.
you find the strangest of signals
in the no-network zones.
cross-tent communication with folks,
just rambling about the unknown.
there's the warmth of shared laughter,
that carries you through freezing nights,
and you look up at the flickering stars,
to finally see things in a different light.
and at 11,000 ft above sea level
you finally reach the peak,
just to realise the joy was in the journey,
and the friends you made that week.
you'll visit caves & splendid cafes,
and remember the city in mere parts,
but years later, you'll still tell everyone,
how dehradun captured your heart.

At the heart of this dynamic scene stands Yolo Backpackers — not merely a guest house, but a hub of connection and discovery. This wasn’t just a trip; it was an opportunity to immerse myself in the compelling rhythm of the Himalayas, where every detail invited curiosity and exploration.

Yolo Backpackers: A Place to Belong
From the moment I entered Yolo Backpackers, it felt like stepping into a carefully composed work of art. The architecture blended harmoniously with its surroundings, the warm wood and thoughtful design elements creating a sense of welcoming sophistication. The rooms were cozy yet efficient, offering a serene retreat without distraction. Each corner of the space seemed to encourage meaningful interaction, whether through quiet reflection or animated conversations with fellow travelers.
The staff were the unsung heroes of the experience, striking the perfect balance between attentiveness and respect for privacy. Their insights into the area transformed my stay, revealing layers of Old Manali I might have otherwise overlooked. It was clear they were as passionate about the region as they were about creating a memorable guest experience.

Couldn't ask for a better stay!
Recreational Experiences: Moments That Inspire
Old Manali is a playground for those who seek both adventure and serenity. Each experience felt like an essential piece of a larger narrative, where excitement and tranquility coexisted seamlessly.
Cafe Hopping: Savoring the Spirit of the Town Cafes like The Lazy Dog and Rasta Cafe became my sanctuaries, each offering its own unique atmosphere. Whether it was the soft hum of music or the captivating views, these spaces fostered a sense of connection. Sharing meals and stories with fellow travelers felt less like chance encounters and more like moments of genuine human connection.
Hiking to Jogini Falls: Embracing the Journey The trek to Jogini Waterfall was a testament to the beauty of the journey itself. The trail, surrounded by verdant greenery and the gentle sounds of nature, felt alive with promise. At the summit, the waterfall greeted me with its serene majesty, a reminder of the power and grace inherent in the natural world.
Vashisht Hot Springs: A Warm Embrace of Nature The soothing waters of Vashisht Hot Springs offered a moment of pure relaxation. The steam rose like a comforting veil, creating an intimate connection with the earth’s geothermal energy. It was a gentle reminder that even amidst adventure, moments of stillness have their place.
Evenings in Old Manali: A Vibrant Tapestry As the sun set, Old Manali transformed into a lively canvas of music, lights, and laughter. At Drifters’ Cafe, live performances infused the air with energy, bringing together people from all walks of life. It was an experience that celebrated community and creativity, leaving a lasting impression.
A Gateway to Discovery
Yolo Backpackers is more than just a place to rest; it’s a launchpad for exploration and connection. Every interaction, from the welcoming smiles of the staff to conversations with fellow guests, added depth to my experience. The thoughtful design and inviting ambiance made it easy to feel at home, even in an unfamiliar setting.
For those looking to dive into the essence of Old Manali, Yolo Backpackers provides the perfect starting point. It’s a place where stories are shared, friendships are forged, and the spirit of adventure is nurtured.
